I really like coming here! The price is reasonable and the staff cares about your baby pets. Also they can give you discount if you work for the city.Ive been bringing my baby (Cat) since he was 4 weeks old and his healthy and in great care because of Animal Clinic- thank you, so much.
I’ve been taking my dog here since he was a puppy from first shots to neutering to boosters to testing and I have always had an amazing experience.Dr. Ibrahim has a love for animals that’s so evident in the way she interacts with them. She treats animals with so much love and patience. I could not be happier to have her treat my dog and appreciate everything she’s done for him. She has a caring, calming presence and I wouldn’t dream of going to anyone else!I recently got a kitten who was a stray and had a really bad case of ear mites. She went above and beyond to take care of him and made sure he experienced as little stress as possible despite being extremely busy. She is so gentle and caring. There was a long wait (not surprised as she was the only vet in the office today) but took her time to answer our questions and explain exactly what needed to be done, aftercare etc. A long wait is NOT a big deal when you receive such quality service. I would have waited double the time! The (maybe new?) vet tech in the office who helped out (very tall and muscular, not sure of his name) was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! My dog was pretty scared but he spoke to him softly and was kissing / hugging him throughout the exam to help calm him down. This was not only helpful, but extremely empathetic and kind. He has a heart of gold and it shows. Amazing addition to the team! What more can you ask for? When your animals are family to you, all you want is for them to be treated with as much love and compassion as possible. That’s what you get when you come here and I highly recommend this office to anyone who wants their pet to have the highest level of care. It’s also an added bonus that their prices are great and there are no surprises or unnecessary anything. The staff is great and attentive as well. I will NEVER go anywhere else.Thank you so much for everything!
This is a really affordable vet clinic compared to others and I think the quality is great but note that most of the time, they only accept walk-ins (which means waiting for 1.5hrs or less depending on the day) unless it’s really an emergency and you need an appointment. A doctor exam/consultation is $25 which is the best you can get in NYC. I’ve brought my dog here for annual shots ($117), dental cleaning ($550 because of anesthesia but note you also have to pay for blood work $168), when he was throwing up due to eating sand at the beach, and more. They charge like $Dr. Ibrahim is so knowledgeable and I have come to trust her well. I thought that my dog’s back teeth needed to be pulled but Dr. Ibrahim did such a great job that it was nearly good as new. The front desk is also nice and patient!
One of the workers there was so professional, and talking very loud about her personal life. Stating that person should go to hell. Very rude and made very unnecessary comments when everyone was just minding their business. She needs to learn to be professional at work. If you simply don’t like your job get a new one, don’t take it out on the people!!!
Dr. Lynn Mastrangelo really ruined my day. After hours of waiting, she refused to schedule a spay appointment for my dog, because we have the blood work done at a different place. The staff told me over the phone that they could see reports from other vets but clearly the doctor didn’t like it and you could feel the change in her attitude, from indifferent to impatient, which make me think their price is low for a reason!1. I don’t know about the other two doctors. But Dr. Lynn doesn’t seem to like dogs.2. They don’t take appointments and their office hours are short, which means you could be spending hours waiting and not able to see the doctor before they close.3. No social distancing in their small waiting room. No crowd control. As a client and a dog parent, this is a terrible experience. I’m going back to previous vet. Although the cost is higher, it’s so much efficient and I can feel the vet truly cares about pets. My dog would be in good hands.
Been here several times. They don’t do appointments so it’s walk in. Sometimes I end up waiting almost 2 hours while sometimes it takes only 5 minutes. I think things would work faster if they did appointments. Also one lady at the front desk does have a little attitude. The vets are super nice and gentle with my dog. My dog got her annual shots: Parvo, Rabies and Bordetella for around $150. They also do professional teeth cleaning which I’ll be taking my dog for since I heard they do a good job (price is around $500)
Completely rude and unprofessional. I made an appointment for my cat to get fixed in January for the ending of February (through the help and recommendation from Friends of Animals) and was hoping to get his appointment bumped as I noticed he is showing early signs of heat. I called last week and was informed to call this week that I may have a chance, I called this week and was rudely informed by Kim that, thats not going to be happening and that there are new rules in place and my cat needed a physical first. I informed her that this was not informed to me when I called the first time and this needed to be addressed more professionally (imagine if I just showed and never got the notice, which by the way this conversation was going I doubt i was ever going to get it). I just got my cat all his shots and a recent physical at Vetco (again another recommendation) and did not see the need. Kim continued to say to send the records over so they could be evaluated. I called back to speak to a Manager and spoke with Julio. I expressed my frustrations with him and how this is uncalled for since I just spent money at another clinic that could also validate my pets health status. Not only is this more money spent but time as well that could have been avoided. He said if you think we are trying to this for the money then okay. You can come in today... Rude! and from the horrific reviews about your 3 hour wait times i will not let my 5 month old kitten have an experience like this especially with a snow storm happening right now! How dare you?! Sarcastic, rude and not considerate at all. I know we are experiencing a pandemic but there are more places that you can go to that are willing to speak to you like a human being!!
I recently got my male kitten neutered here using the Friends of Animals certificate, and my experience with them was great!! The certificate was about $60 and the procedure was about $70 (including antibiotics). It’s been a little bit more than a week, but my kitty is healing soo well!! Everyone in the office was very pleasant, too!
Dr. Ibrahim is the best veterinarian we could ask for. She takes care our pets like her own. Always answer with all the questions, even return a call at late hour. Staffs are friendly and respectful. Price are reasonable. Weve been taking our pets here for more than 12 years. Thumbs up for this animal clinic.
The only Vet that saw my dog after giving birth same day I brought her in. The others gave me 2 week appointments and up too a month. I wish I found this spot earlier... unfortunately it was too late for my dog, she had a dead pup inside which gave her a bad infection. Thanks too the other clinics that didnt want to see her.
This place staff is awesome. My cat greyson had an hematoma on his ear and they did surgery and fix his ear. Greyson is doing much better now. Im glad I changed his vet from the staten island location. Here they are more attentive to the animals and they care about them. Will stick with this place. Thank you doctor Ebrahim and her staff which did a great job with greyson.
Dr. Ibrahim and the staff at this clinic was absolutely amazing! They took the time out to really answer ALL my questions even though the staff was crowded with people all day. Due to COVID-19 we had to wait outside which is fine considering they were still taking walk-in unlike my usual vet that offered no support. In addition, Dr Ibrahim was there to answer any questions for Izzy even AFTER the visit and offered different alternatives and every call was answered or called back in a timely manner.Thank you guys for being such a great staff!
I had called a day before to ask if they applied nail caps on cats and the person I spoke to said yes but to come the next day in the morning due to them being busy. I came in the next day and signed in which asked for my last name, animals name, and (REASON FOR VISIT). I waited 3 hours for them to tell me they don’t apply nail caps. How do you guys not look at the sing in sheet and see what people are there for??? This is something that could have been said to me from the moment I got there. I didn’t bother asking if you guys applied nail caps when I got there because again, I had already called the day before and asked if you guys did that service just to be sure and so that I wouldn’t waste my time going there. You guys should really look at the sign in sheet and look at what your patients are there for and if there’s something that can’t be done then let the client know right away instead of having them wait until their turn to let them know it can’t be done. This is basic customer service. I understand it’s busy but it’s not an excuse to not look at the list and see what your patients are there for.Another thing that was unacceptable was this lady in the front with blonde hair and glasses who was being loud about the situation and didn’t even apologize for the miscommunication, Instead all she kept on saying is “no, we don’t do that here” then when I was waiting for my cat to get his nails trimmed she proceeded to say “we don’t apply that sh*t here” to her colleagues while I was in the room. I’m well aware of the controversy around nail caps but she didn’t know the circumstances I am in and the reasoning for the nails caps and it’s definitely not to prevent furniture scratching from what everybody assumes when they hear nail caps. Its for other serious reasonings. I didn’t appreciate her making that comment without her knowing the reasoning.Seems unorganized and like there’s poor communication between staff. Do better, have better communication amongst yourselves and the client, and at LEAST look through the sign in sheet to look at what your patients are there for just incase there’s something you guys don’t do at your establishment rather than having clients waits for hours just tell them it can’t be done. The only person that apologized was the male tech or assistant that brought me back my cat which I appreciate him for doing so.
The vets at this Clinic are very loving and compassionate. They know their business very well, and they treat your pets like friends. This is the first time my pet hasnt trembled entering the doorway, in fact, she seems happy to be there. The fact that you dont need an appointment is another big plus, but depending on when you get there you never know how crowded or empty its going to be, but believe me its worth the wait .
Dr. Ibrahim is aawesome. I needed an international travel certificate for my doggy, and she took care of it timely and properly. Whereas my previous vet clinic failed to provide all the required docs and info., . Dr. Ibrahim had upto date information and everything went smooth. Great clinic great doctor, great staff too.
First I will start off by saying everyone is very pleasant. I’m giving a one star rating because I kept bringing in my kitten because she had upper respiratory issues and all the doctor prescribed was antibiotics multiple times. She also had an ulcer on her tongue which I was never aware of until I took her to another Vet. I don’t know how they could have missed that when they would open her mouth during the physical exam! She had an ear infection, a viral infection and GI tract issues that were all misdiagnosed.Their wait time is also very long due to the fact that they don’t make appointments. Every time we visited we waited atleast two hours which is unacceptable! I guess ”YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR” I’m seeing another vet , it’s pricey but worth it. Both of my kittens are now healthy and have no issues. I do not recommend this animal clinic.
I normally do not go here but since the price was so cheap compare to my regular vet, I decided to come to this vet instead. My dog has an eye infection and the doctor took a glance at my dog without saying a word and gave us an eye cream. When i asked her what causes my dog to get an eye infection, she said I dont know. As a paying customer i dont think that was a reasonable response. Worst part is, the eye cream didnt even work. Instead it got worst than it ever was before. So, thank you a lot for nothing except attitude :) I rather pay the extra $60 visit payment towards my regular vet. Shout out to Heart of Chelsea vet.
They are always super nice in there and the doctor is awesome. You might wait a bit and they can be a tad under staffed by the reception area but its worth it. The reason is because when its your turn the doctor never acts like hes rushing you out of there and is extremely patient. He answers all my questions and concerns even though Im probably a little annoying being a first time pet owner (a now 8 month year old cat). The spaying was very well priced, the wound healed perfectly and the staff was delicate the whole time I saw them with her.She now has a hereditary parasite (worm) Im working to clear up with the antibiotic but im confident in the treatment given the instructions by the staff. Its hard to get help like this now a days. Patience, care and professionalism goes a long way. Which is why I will always recommend this clinic if youre in the area.No wonder theyre busy.
We bought a Frenchie in Jan 2021Despite them being quite pricey, they seem to operate in a manner that most would appreciate. They were respectful regarding the basic questions we were asking, helped us locate a vet, setup NY registration of the dog, trained us with dos and donts, contacted us several days later asking how we were doing despite already making a sale.Negotiations can be made, though only in person (I assume they want you to be emotionally bonded when making the decision)All in all, very happy with their custom
I am writing to Rescind my previous negative review of the Animal Clinic of Bay Ridge. It was meant for another Bay Ridge Vetinarian. I was in ERROR in my posting. My Roommate has been going to the Animal Clinic of Bay Ridge for 30 plus years with several animals. She and I have NOTHING BUT PRAISE for the entire Staff at Animal Clinic of Bay RIDGE.I AM grateful for the existence of The CARING of Dr Alexandru and the Wonderful, patient, and compassionate DR. Lynn MasterangeloThey saw my cat on an emergency basis (without an appointment) and even though they were busy they took the time to give compassionate and professional attention and treatment
They dont care about the your pet. They care only about the almighty dollar. I work in pediatrics and we dont shake parents for money. We love our furry friends. They are our child but the point is you have to give options. You cant be cold.if someone tells you can you bill me or I can only pay so much you work with them. They made me fry and couldnt careless.
Old world vets here . Wont give it if not needed . Bringing my second dog here . They removed tumors from my 10 year old pit bull rescue and gave me 4 more . They told me they were confident they removed all of it inside . Worth the 1800$. They also went over a bit of a rundown to see what I can cut or do without . They called me when surgery was done . Again when she came to . She almost jumped into the backseat by herself. Night 1 was the hardest for her . She couldnt get stretch out . She had quite a few stitches. By day 2 she was almost back to herself . I stumbled across this place on a weekend and they said no appointment was needed .
Just finished with a vet visit for my baby golden retriever Lea. She wasnt scared of the doctors and was extremely playful with the rest of the dogs that was waiting to be seen by the doctors. I highly recommend Dr. Ibrahim! She is amazing and cares so much for your fur babies! The prices here are extremely reasonable too and the wait is not so bad.
My deceased cat needed her blood results faxed to a animal hospital right away (that this establishment recommended to go to) and the staff failed to do a simple job. Called several times to make sure my information was correct. I was told they’d fax the results, they didn’t. Truly disappointed I’ve brought my beloved cat to this vet for the past four years.
LOVE this place! Dr Mastrangelo is a wonderful, competent, kind, knowledgeable doctor. The techs are all well trained and gentle. Office staff are awesome. They have all been taking great care of my family (fur and human) for MANY years - we wont go anywhere else and always pass out recommendations for the Animal Clinic!
Most reasonable of any place I have been with any of my pets. They do what is needed with followup and no adding things to pad the bill that are not necessary. Just try to avoid going Sunday if it isnt an urgent problem. The vet on Sunday just shouldnt be a vet. Mostly personality speaking. He does seem to know what he is doing but I have an 11 lb. dog that had an eye infection and in order to look in the dogs eye he wanted to muzzle him. No aggression or growling and my dog got so upset. When I went back for follow up I saw Dr. I and she had no issue and even commented how good the dog was.
After many bad experiences at the most famous Brooklyn Vet group I found Animal Clinic is Bayridge and I’m happy to have a Dr and a nice team that I can rely on. DR Ibrahim is sweet and profesional I trust all her decisions, diagnostic and treatment for my dogs. Once one of my dogs was in really bad shape Dr Ibrahim took her time to call me to ask about my dog before she left the office, that call calmed me down because my dog was in a delicate condition. Also all the Vet Techs are great and funny. They always try to make my pets comfortable. Today my 14pound dog had to do a blood work and dr Ibrahim did it precisely and fast.! Price wise it’s better than other places. No appointment need it and the time wait depends on how many people are in front of you. Usually I wait less than half and hour! Thank you Dr Ibrahim for your kindness.
He charged me $600 to check my cat for crystals, but didnt tell me how to prevent it from reoccurring or any after-care steps to take. I felt like he was trying to run unnecessary tests not at all related to my cats symptoms to soak every penny out of us financially. You could see he really couldnt have cared any less about his well-being. Never again!!! Ive been seeing a much kinder, more ethical vet for over a year now and wouldnt recommend this guy to my worst enemy.
Very unpleasant visit which was very surprising, our family dog was having mobility problems so we took her in to get checked. The wait was short and the receptionist was very nice, it started going downhill when we was called in to see Dr. Lynn Mastrangelo. Now i must say that on a previous visit it was a great experience but it was also a different veterinarian who was very gentle with our dog. We explained what was going on to our dog so I proceeded to lift her up on to the table, from there the Dr assistant told me to switch places and grabbed my dog so she wont move and the dr could easily check her. It didnt take no more than 3 touches for Dr mastrangelo to reach for a muzzle which wasnt necessary since our dog wasnt growling or making sudden movements, my sister told her our dog wont like it and will make her more nervous and scared, Dr said well If I get bit then Im suing you guys in a jokingly matter, my sister said in a jokingly matter well Im hoping youre good at your job and would be able to prevent that from happening, Dr then said Get out my way and told her assistant well i dont feel like getting bit today so hold her neck up in a rudely matter. Now i feel its too early In the morning for anyone especially the Dr to have an attitude problem and talk to the customers in a rude fashion, and coming in to work showing no professionalism, You are a veterinarian and if your first choice is using a muzzle cuz youre too scared or just dont want to deal with it, then youre in the wrong field. I just care about my dog feeling better so i remained polite and said good day to everyone.
Yesterday this marvelous place saved my precious lab mixs life by performing an amazing surgery to remove a huge infected blood filled uterus.Coco is our baby and these marvelous people gave her back to us. As she sits on a chair very unhappy about the lampshade on her head I am grateful to them forever. We are seniors and though the operation not cheap they did try to discount it for us.When they showed us what they had taken out of her we were amazed and shocked.Thank you Dr. and thank you Animal Clinic of Bay Ridge
I use to go to this vet until I realized they were overcharging me. While I do think some of the vets cared, I needed a vet that truly cared about my pets more them money and I dont think this was the case. Everything took forever, phone calls, procedures, visits... be ready to wait atleast an 1 1/2 hrs.
Dr. Alexandru and his staff are just wonderful fabulous and so caring everyone in the office was just so great with the animals and with all my questions and concerns I cant thank them enough I was so happy with them and also that I found a caring and trusting vet. They will not make you even spend UN necessary money there is just not enough words to express how happy I am that I came here. Keep up the good work with animals Animal Clinic Of BayRidge my 2 yorkies will be your patients for many more years.
Been taking my Yorkie here for over 8 years with no problems. I have found Dr. Swails, Dr. Annurova( no longer there), Dr. Ibraham and especially Dr. Mastrangelo to be especially considerate, fair and courteous. My Yorkie is extremely nervous and she responds well to all doctors I mentioned. They have never steered me wrong with a diagnosis or treatment. They are not looking to bleed you dry or prescribe unnecessary medications. I actually left Dr.. Hollanders office for Bay Ridge Animal Clinic after a very serious mishap. I find anyone being less than courteous or professional here very hard to believe. I am so grateful to the all the doctors and staff at Bay Ridge Animal Clinic.
Appointments not necessary and they are pretty helpful and answer questions well. The place is a little bit run down and of course there are pets there so it is not always clean but they do pretty good about keeping it clean. The wait can be really long but at least you dont have to make an appointment.
It is hit or miss with the doctors, and the receptionist on Sundays has a bad attitude. The hours they post on the web site are wrong, and have been wrong for years, and they know the web site hours are wrong. Amazing how they keep redesigning the web site and changing other information but the hours, are wrong. They told me the hours were wrong when I got thrown out of the office by a rude receptionist. Look elsewhere for a professional staff.
They recommended it to me and it seemed to me that they have very good rates per consultation, they charged me 25 which is a reasonable price but since I did not like it very much in the vets service because I did not check it well, almost only saw it and gave it a medicine and when I told him what I had they didnt explain well to me.

2021-12-17Today I took Ashley to Animal Clinic of Bay Ridge, I called ahead and I was told that I didnt need to make an appointment, that I could just walk in before 4 pm. I got there around 3:00 pm waited around 2 hours because there was a long waiting list, that was the only down part, around 5 pm Ashley was seen by a very kind Vet, her name is Dr. Ninette Ibrahim and she has a great team working with her. Ashley was diagnosed with skin allergy and was given 3 shots, the service was very attentive and excellent, the consultation was 25 and for the e shots Ashley received totaled $178 dollars. I highly recomend this place.

2022-06-03A year ago, still in pandemic times, Dr. N Ibrahim saved my Yorkies life.Took him in right away, quickly examined and rushed me to a nearby hospital. Turned out it was a serious situation of collapsed trachea and enlarged heart. Thanks to her, he is still here today. Prior to that, they performed two minor surgeries on my cocker spaniel. They were reasonable and he did great for many years. The doctor calls to check up on him which was very comforting. During my last follow up visit, she was the same. Quick examination and on point. She may appear tough, but you can tell in her voice and mannerism that she truly cares for the animals. The staff is very attentive and helpful. One staff member saw my little guy in the waiting room with a bit of fatigue, and she immediately put her file down and came out with a bowl of water for him. I highly recommend this place. For the team, the Dr. and how they have made me feel comfortable and at ease that my pet is in very good hands.

2022-06-23I called late afternoon impromptu to ask if my cat can get her shots and vaccines and they told me to just come in by 4:30. I got a spot right in front of the place. Everyone in the office was very supportive with my fractious cat. I was taking right in and they dealt with my cat 😺 uneventfully with a team of three people mindfully. The office was very clean and soon after I sat a few people walked in with their pets. I am grateful to have gotten this done so expeditiously.

2020-10-26This is a great place. The fees are reasonable, the staff is friendly and the doctors are wonderful and truly care about your pets. Although the wait is long, it is well worth it. You wont find a better place for your fur babies.

2022-03-16Took my dog here maybe about half a year ago and I always get dr Ibrahim and I think she is the best vet they have here! However the day I took my boy here I had the worst of luck of getting the other lady vet they have here I don’t remember her name but she told me my dogs eyes had dried out and that he needed eyedrops forever and didn’t tell me anything else after that I took my boy back home and a couple days later he got worst and I rushed him to the hospital that’s by 91st and 5ave and he did what the other vet should have done which was to run some test before just sending a pet home without knowing what’s really wrong with your pet! Anyway my baby boy was diagnosed with diabetes and he passed a week after so I’m never coming back here because it’s not the first time that lady ( not dr ibrahim! ) gave me a wrong diagnosis for one of my dogs.

2020-12-03We drive all the way from NJ to keep this place as our primary doctor for our pups.My German shepherds are not generally trusting of people outside of the family but this place handles them so kindly that I dare say they do not mind the trips to the V.E.T.

2022-02-17Vet diagnosed my dog over the phone, and took him as soon as they saw him. Props to them. Also, they saw my other dog when she was very sick. unlike some vets. Props to this vet for seeing both of my dogs. Very thankful.
