Anthonys Service in other cities:
Marc Anthony has been my mechanic for over 30 years. He gives me a great deal, and no one touches my car but Marc or his guys! I have a Subaru Baja, it took me 10 years to find that car. They dont make them anymore. It is a member of my family! No one touches that car but Marc or his team.
Im not from the area, but I was checking out a used 2008 Toyota Matrix to purchase for my girlfriend. The car seemed good to me and drove normally (my parents own a Pontiac Vibe so I know what the car should feel like). I dont know much mechanically so I called both Toyota dealerships in the area to see if they could inspect the car for me. Both couldnt make appointments for me until the next day. So, I found the closest mechanic that had good reviews (this one) and called in. They said they were a bit busy but that I should bring the car in. So I did and they took the keys and said it would only take 20 minutes. I was a little caught off guard since when I take it to my mechanic back home they do a full 1 hour inspection of everything with a test drive and getting it up on a lift. I come back 30 minutes later and they mechanic says that it looks good and that they didnt see anything wrong. They charged me 20 bucks so it wasnt a big deal. Well I bought the car and a came back down a few days later to pick it up. Back in my home town I had it checked by my mechanic who said its going to need all new brakes (pads/rotors) and the timing chain tensioner is leaking oil. Seems like any mechanic should have been able to see if the brakes were still good and if there was oil leaking down the back of the engine... At least it wasnt more serious than that.
Ripped me off. I just wanted to get my reg plates installed onto the front of the car. Charged me $22 for doing a job that took just 20 sec to complete. Looking at the review they may be good at what they do, but make sure you ask the estimate of the bill before you get anything done here. I am never going back there again.
Both of my bosses recommended I go to Anthonys. They towed a truck for me few months back and our dealings were nothing but honest and polite. Went in for oil change other day, and once again up front, polite and honest. They even show me how to fix my own light because they didnt have the part needed. All around positive experience. Great prices and great folks down at Anthonys. Thank boys keep up the good work.
Only been coming here a few months but they are absolutely wonderful. Mark Anthony treats us like family and goes out of his way to help us. As an example, the power steering line in my car developed a leak to the point it was barely driveable. Mark came to my apartment to pick up my car and after repairs were finished, he came to pick me up so I could pay at the shop. They do their best to work with our limited budget and have very fair prices. Service is always decently fast: drop our car off at 8 am and it’s done before the end of the day. We’ve had an incredible experience with the Anthonys, so a big thank you to them!
We called over the weekend to get our car looked at, they scheduled an 8:30 am appointment for the following Monday with the promise that our car would be done by 1. Our car was not even looked at until 4pm, and we didnt even get the repair estimate that we asked for. Waste of our time and ended up costing us $30 In cabs to get around while they held our car longer than expected.
I thought they were great. I didnt have to wait that long and they made room for me that day. The mechanic test drove the car with me in the passengers seat and explained everything he would do to fix it. No surprises, and price was lower than expected. Would go again!
I have had bad experience with Anthonys. I had both my front and rear rotors and brakes replaced and just within a span of 9 months, the rotors warped, because of which I had to replace them again by spending $700 elsewhere. I had taken my vehicle to more than 5 garages and all the mechanics blamed the poor quality of the rotors as the reason behind warping. If I had gotten them replaced at a different garage, I would have received 1 to 2 years of warranty them. Unfortunately, I pursued with the wrong choice. Im not going to Anthonys anymore after this horrid encounter.
Went in knowing I needed about $2000 of work into my truck. These guys looked to save me money at every turn and were very straight forward and honest throughout the entire transaction. They gave me a worst case scenario quote and ended up coming in $800 under what they quoted me. Cant thank them enough, awesome guys.
This is the worst garage I have ever been too, we spent 309 bucks to get our heater fixed which only lasted three days and it quite on us again, they left the wires hanging out and took our our bulb to our head lights and never put the cap back on to the radiator, and when we took it back and kindly explained the problem they used very vulgar language which I care not to repeat! I’ll never go there ever again!!!’n they have no idea what there doing!
Went in yesterday because my CEL is on and I need an inspection. Prior to this I had a free scan at auto zone done resulting in a code for a fuel tank pressure pump. I went into Anthony’s Service and asked how much they’d charge me to instill this $65 part. The mechanic EXCLAIMED that auto zone scans mean NOTHING you can’t trust them, and he would like to run his own test, drop off the truck tomorrow and he’ll take care of me...OK Great see you then!Welp it’s done now and wouldn’t you know it they found the same result? Fuel tank pressure sensor! I then paid a bill for $350 plus tax..... $150 for the diagnostics test (which I didn’t request), $100 for the ($65) part and $100 labor. To have a $65 part put on. On top of that I’m still un-inspected because I need to drive 50 miles first. What!?They were not willing to cut me some slack and at least charge less on the diagnostics fee, that I didn’t request, saying things like “it’s a $13k machine.” Why by any stretch of the imagination would I care?!? I wanted the part that the free scan suggested! “Well it also includes labor, ya know hooking the machine up, etc.” I am paying you a $100 labor fee... for two hours or less of your time!Don’t be ripped off, save your money and go somewhere else...
I was traveling from Ottawa, Ont, Canada. Down to NJ to see my brother with my 3 kids in the car when I started to hear a bad noise coming from the back end. I thank my lucky starts that I broke down close to Mark and his brother at Anthonys service. I cant say enough good things about this shop. He took my car in, GAVE ME A RIDE TO THE AIRPORT! to pick up my rental car. I mean who does that anymore. Marc told me that the shop was his fathers before him and that they have been in business for over 50 years. They fixed my car super fast at a good price and I was very happy with the work done. If I lived in Binghamton I would never take my car anywhere else.
Went in for a very basic state inspection as my sticker had expired. The young and only mechanic in the garage there didnt say a word of hello or how can I help you, just stuck out his hand waiting for me to hand my keys over. Then got into the drivers seat and told my friend who was on his phone, so you gonna get out or what?. I went into the waiting area inside but was called out about five minutes later by the same mech. He said he couldnt do a state inspection because my car was registered in NYC. He told me I had to go to a DMV and find a waiver for them to allow someone outside the city to do work on the car. What a load of bullshit. This was a pretty new car with less than 38k miles on it. No chance it would have failed any emissions test. I guess they dont want my money here. The next day I went into a different car service center and got it done within the hour without any issues.
Nice recovery from misunderstanding will repeat BusinessLook forward to returning for more service on my vehicle. You work well with your customers and are sensitive to their fiscal needs.Vehicle: Hyundai Elantra Service Date: 11/15/2016Review Created: 11/16/2016 11:02 PM
The Anthony Family. Mike Anthony took the time to find a slow leak that had been alluding us for 3 months. He sat there and starred at the tire in the water until he spotted a bubble a second on the rim in the back. He stated that you and I both know there is a Leak, and now we are going to find it! He did. Thank you Michael...Vehicle: Cadillac DTSService Date: 09/28/2015

2021-03-19Not only did they do the repairs much faster than I anticipated, they also saved me almost $200 compared to the estimate I received from Mavis. Privately owned business with caring staff and great service! I highly recommend Anthonys!

2020-06-26Anthony is a good guy, took care of my fathers car for us. I mentioned we might need a new battery, after checking it out and starting up for us over a few days said we didn’t need one. Have had no problems since. They will also pump your gas for you! People skills and knowledge make this a great family owned and operated business.
