Antonios Trattoria in other cities:
Called to make a reservation for Sat night at around 2pm and managed to get a table for 2. Ordered baked clams, short ribs and pizza. Enjoyed the short ribs the most, liked the thin crust pizza too. Only knew we could do half:half flavours for the pizza when reading through the reviews here. Price is a little bit on the high side. Overall pretty good experience, it was fully occupied almost all night.
Such a nice staff! Came on a Saturday evening for an early dinner and it was pretty busy. No worries, we sat right away. Lovely waitress that periodically checked on us. Had the delicious soft bread with olive oil, so fresh. Hot antipasto was a great selection of shrimps, mussels, clams, fried calamari, and eggplant. Very flavorful seafood. The carbonara was so silky and pasta was perfect. I need to come back and try a red sauce pasta. Then dessert got the chocolate chip cookie with ice cream, so yummy ! It was warm soft and had huge chunks of chocolate chips. Deff suggest.
My other half and I discovered this hidden gem during one of our detours after having coffee on Arthur Avenue. We diverted from walking towards the car and decided to walk in another direction. At this time during COVID-19 restaurants were still only open for outdoor service. This restaurant caught our attention because they had such cute private bubbles set up outside that also offered heating. Before we knew it we were in a bubble under the snow enjoying a romantic evening. Since out first visit we never had a meal that disappointed us, you can expect a relaxing ambiance and personable service. In little to no time we found this bubble becoming our own bubble away from home for future nights out. The restaurant currently doesnt have the bubble, however the indoor dining is beautiful and safe according to COVID-19 dining regulations. I enjoy sitting by the window or the beautiful wine wall that is multifunctional and storing some of the restaurants fine wine. Hopefully next winter we will return to our bubble on a snowy day. What brings us back to the restaurant is the consistently reliable quality service and perfectly made food. We both work hard throughout the week and we enjoy having an evening out where were being provided an intimate feeling of breaking bread without having to prepare or serve one another. What we love about this restaurant is that it supports the experience of sharing a meal with a loved one in a friendly inviting atmosphere. If Marco is your server you will also leave there learning something new about Italian trattoria styled dining and plethora of interesting information on food or history. During our last visit he took us on a stroll down history lane teaching us about the history if the local neighborhood also known as the The little Italy of The Bronx. The neighborhood itself is very diverse and includes a strong Italian, Latino and Albanian presence. Another population of people you will observe are clusters of Fordham University students. This is a great restaurant to go to on a visit to your childs school, the zoo and if your local you should add it to you list of go to places on days youre feeling indecisive.
Located in the well-known Little Italy of the Bronx. Antónios Trattoria is surrounded by a multitude of incredible cuisine experiences. As we are all aware, the indoor dining room took a breath and makeshift outdoor shelters afflicted the area. Some are better than others, but we all know that in these cold, dry months, a ceiling light with an open door will not keep your lower extremities warm. However, AT had a brilliant and groundbreaking idea. Anchor three transparent yurts with zipped entry doors from floor to ceiling coupled with heat lamps that sit at eye and arrow level - protection from many cruel elements of winter. You are now comfortable for about 59 minutes, giving you ample time to enjoy a crunchy Caesar salad and a large wood-fired margarita pizza. As we waited for the cheque, we had a cup of coffee to circulate our blood. In these dark days, it feels like eating under the stars on Mars. This arrangement transformed our dismal day into a place of eclectic restoration. So if you feel sad and have a few extra dollars to draw from your inner child - welcome to winter camp! The staff felt like camp instructors watching us every five minutes.Kudos to that institution for finding ways to bring us back.
The food was good and so was the service. So happy they could accommodate our party of 14 when Con sofrito canceled on us the day before, just because we refused to give our credit card information AND they charge a 25 pp cancelation fee, as if they were a 5 star restaurant. We do thank them because their loss was everyone elses gain.
Loved the whole experience! Delicious food, big portions, and fast service. I had the Calamari to start - the plate was overflowing! Huge serving! Cooked great. For main I had the eggplant parmigiana which I highly recommend - oh my it was good. Accompanied with a few Aperol Spritzs - it was a full Italian affair. Definitely stop in!
Went here on 6/17/2018 after a day at the Bronx Zoo. It has great reviews so my partner and I decided to check it out for dinner. The place was a bit packed but we were somehow able to get a table without a reservation. The service was excellent and so was the food. Everything came out in reasonable timing and the restaurant had no issues accommodating my vegan diet by adding extra veggies to my pizza and keeping off the cheese. The portion sizes are pretty large so we shared an endive salad. My partner got the steak which was reasonable priced and HUGE!After dinner, we stopped for Limoncello’s (spelling) and Frangelico’a at the bar in the other room. JOHN was bartending and took wonderful care of us. He was very attentive to the whole bar and we have no complaints. There was an older man there that was really funny as well but we did not get his name.Let me just say that the whole atmosphere was so warm and welcoming. Very family friendly environment and you could tell many of the locals and real Italians frequented. A lot of smiles and laughter from both the staff and guests. Thank you for providing such an exceptional experience! We will most definitely return when we are in the area. :) 5/5
Firstly, GO HUNGRY, YOU WONT REGRET IT. The Customer service...on point, Thank you Carmine (our main waiter) for leaving the bike shop today! Drinks, nice and strong, definitely not stingy on alcohol. Appetizers..cheesey bread, smothered garlic knots, calamari done nice and light, (I cant remember what the others had). Dinner..chicken parm has my heart and it wasnt my order. 2 of us had the colossal shrimp in the wine sauce with Spinach, it gets a very hard pass, as there was no flavor at all. HOWEVER, that will NOT take away from our overall experience. ..It was my daughters bday and her choice of restaurant... SHE DID WELL! The whole restaurant sang happy birthday, THE ENERGY WITHIN WAS HOMELY AND FUN. I SHALL RETURN!!!
The inner atmosphere is nice. Better than the feel it gives on the outside. We had baked clams (a bit too salty) but do taste freshness. Pizza was excellent. You can ask for half and half (different toppings) even for the small size (12). Very thin crust. Complimentary bread was very soft on the inside.
Definitely worth the trip from lower Manhattan! My boyfriend and I went on a Monday night, so while there were other people there, it seemed like a relatively slow night. Food was absolutely delicious (maybe best gnocchi Ive ever had), service was great, and the restaurant itself had a cute and cozy vibe. Would 100% go back.
The staff was great even with a full restaurant. The food is really great! They offer a bread that you can try with the amazing olive oil they have at the table. The desserts werent that amazing l. Italian cheesecake is not that sweet (in case you prefer sweeter) and made of ricotta instead of cream cheese. The Nutella canoli was a special but it didnt taste Nutella that well. Highly recommend.
Visited Antonios on the advice of a friend who moved away from NY years ago but had great memories. Im pleased to be able to tell her it hasnt changed...still great food in a friendly, warm setting. Pleasant walk here from the zoo (a 15 minute walk.) Very friendly wait staff and bar tender and lots of staff... No waiting for anything! Spouses coffee was good, my house red wine was very, very good. Baked clams appetizer with the chunky bread was fabulous. Veal saltimbocca entree was enormous and absolutely perfect. Side of ziti was ok. Spouse tried the pork chop with hot cherry peppers and side of green beans. Came with serving of polenta as well. Oh my, it was fabulous! The cherry peppers were a bit too hot for me, but flavors blended wonderfully and he was delighted. The green beans were bursting with buttery/garlicky flavour and cooked just enough to be crisp/ tender. We were too full to order dessert, darn it, but my apres cappachino was rich and wonderful. Left Antonios wishing I lived in NYC just so I could return and try other dishes and the Italian cheesecake!
Melissa is the very best that there is, I have food restrictions and I explained this to her and she made sure that they were adhered to. She really went out of her way and nothing was too much trouble for her, she is so sweet and kind. We have eaten here many times in the past, but I did not have restrictions at that time and they were fantastic then. We love this restaurant and Melissa, Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. ❤
Had such a great experience as soon as I walked in the door. Greeted by the owner and other employees as we were being seated. The food was amazing and pricing was just right. Its hard to explain how comfortable we were in the restaurant but it was noticably different from other restaurants. You have to give it a try!
I travel all the way from Long Island to eat the pizza here! Their desserts are also mouth watering. My friend usually gets pasta and said it’s outstanding. The service is really unbeatable here. All of the staff are very accommodating and friendly. They don’t mind working around different dietary restrictions and I love that it’s usually never packed when I go.
As I made my way around little Italy admiring the culture and the experience, I was reminiscing on the time I went to Rome and Tuscany. It brought back many great memories and then I realized how hungry I was. With so many fantastic places in the area to try, I ultimately decided to go with Antonios Trattoria! They had amazing reviews and I had a serious taste for brick oven style pizza. From the moment I entered, I was treated more like family rather than a customer and thats so crucial to me. The staff was very polite and started us off with tasty rustic bread and butter. I decided to go with the chicken parmigiana pizza and I didnt have one regret about it. The cheese calzone ordered by my gf was also tasty. I would definitely come back here, maybe for dinner.
After ball game delights. Pasta, mussels, meatballs, and drinks. Two guys at the bar are legendary. The food was prelibato, squisito, delizioso! It is not for the fussy, fainthearted, or high maintenance. Belly up to the table, arrange your napkin at your neck, and be prepared to savor lusty Italian dishes prepared with cream, wine, and garlic. Ask questions and trust the staff.
When you go to Arthur Avenue, you want authentic, old school Italian food. Antonios was awesome! Everything was amazing. The linguini with white clam sauce was the best I have ever had. The canoli was also, the best I have ever tasted. I dont use the word BEST very often. They are the best. I cant wait to go back a second time.
I never been to and Italian restaurant and complain about food portions. I ordered lasagna and was very disappointed, my 8 year old son would have been looking for something else to eat.shrimp scampi was horrible, the chicken pom sandwich was super dry.it was a wasted 90 bucks, yes 90 bucks.
Food is excellent. We have never had anything here we wouldnt eat again or recommend. Service is also always fantastic, which is super important. The pizza is amazing and next time I go I plan on eating only pizza, its worth a visit for pizza alone its that good. Crust is the right mix of fluffy, chewy, with a lightly charred and well done bottom. Good wine list with lots of options. Even the bread they serve for the table is perfection.
Its a place that has become tradition for me. Their food is great. The tomato sauce is really nice and they make a quatro formaggi Pizza that is something special. (Remember to order it with tomato sauce and not with white sauce). The place is not particularly comfortable but its okay. I only did not like that I ordered two americanos and they brought me American drip coffee and charged me $4 for each. If it wasnt for that I would probably get close to give them five stars.
The food was very underwhelming. After seeing all the great reviews we were very excited to come to this restaurant. My husband and I ordered the spaghetti carbonara and it didnt have much flavor we had to add extra cheese, salt and pepper to add flavor. We ordered pizza for our son and that was very good. Possibly other dishes taste better than the dish we ordered.
Wonderful place and amazing food. We had no reservations and it was a last minute suggestion to go and eat here. It was the best decision we made. We had a large party of 6 and they accommodated us quickly and efficiently. We experienced Wonderful service and made to feel special the entire time of dinner. Thank you for helping to add onto our family memories.
Food was okay. Calamari was nice and crispy. Pizza was good. Chicken parmigiana was bland. Service was atrocious. Sat 25 minutes trying to get another drink. Eventually gave up on our waiter and flagged down a busboy who hooked it up. Nobody even thanked us or said goodbye as we left.
Amazing place for Italian cuisine. The bartender, Joseph, made excellent recommendations for meal selection. When you go, I suggest getting a recommendation for Joesph if you are not familiar with Italian food. The service was excellent, the food was divine and the cabernet wine was robust. My thanks to my gracious host for a memorable dining experience. Do check out Antonios for the finest in authentic Italian cuisine.
The best restaurant ever !! The food was outstanding and tasteful and the presentation could not be better. We have been here many times and each time is consistent and blows our mind away with the amazing quality of food. And most important the service Gianna is EXCELLENT and her customer service is top notch and also Emily was always on top of our needs . Thanks for an amazing dinner and night out.
What a marvelous place: the food, the atmosphere, the buzz, the hospitality. Have been consistently coming here for 4 years all the way from Williamsburg because its worth the trip every time.Tried something different this time. Felt like staying on the lighter side, and their Margarita pizza, Fettuccini Primavera, and beef short ribs didnt disappoint. Thank you!
Good food, good atmosphere, the dining area couldve been a bit cleaner, but it was so dark inside (despite it being bright and sunny out) that it didnt really take away from the experience. My partner and I took her father there for his 70th birthday, and he enjoyed it. The penne vodka was incredible, however we also ordered a margherita pie for the table and it came out almost cold, and was underwhelming. The service was also lackluster and we frequently had to wave over a bus boy to ask for more water and get the check since our actual waiter was AWOL most of the time.
Stopped in with the family without any reservations. We waited about five minutes and they found a table for us inside. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We got chicken Parmesan, shrimp scampi and eggplant rolatini. All were very well prepared and delicious. Service was excellent. Highly recommended.
I wanted to like this restaurant very much. It has many positive reviews and I was looking forward to eating here. Unfortunately, I was greatly disappointedI started out with the calamari. It was lightly breaded and cooked, just the way its supposed to be. The calamari itself was of good quality. However, there was no discernible spices added to the bread crumbs, leaving the taste very bland (a common theme for the entire meal). My wife agreed. The marinara sauce was also very bland. (I will speak to this later). I resorted to putting red pepper on the dish which gave it some needed flavorMy entre was veal parmesan with rigatoni on the side. The veal itself, with breading, tasted like something I would pick up in a freezer at a grocery store. It had no taste and seemed more like a patty than a fine slice of veal. And now about the sauce. If there was basil or garlic in it I didnt taste any. In fact, there wasnt much salt and pepper either. It was as if a can of plum tomatoes were partially pureed and some small chunks left in it, and it was served that way. It was one of the blandest sauces I have ever tastedAgain, there are many positive reviews of this restaurant, so maybe it is just my taste or I was there on a bad night My wife had eggplant parmesan and liked it. I tasted it and thought it better than my meal. Perhaps youll have better luck than I did
Im sorry to say but if youre black I wouldnt bother eating here. I could tell from the moment I sat down that I wasnt welcome. There were 3 other white couples dining and the difference in service was night and day. One white couple that sat down 5-10 minutes after me had their order taken and was served their drinks before my drink even hit the table. Then the waiter took a good 5-6 minutes to circle back to ask me what I wanted to eat. I was told that if I ordered quickly, I would receive lunch prices but instead I was charged full price. When the other couples left before me, all the servers and bussers bid them a beautiful farewell and asked them to come back again but when I got up to leave it was pure silence. I will never come back here again and I wouldnt recommend any other person of color to patron here either.
Great experience all around, but the most notable thing was the fettuccine alfredo. Both my girlfriend and I have been to Italy multiple times and had lots of pasta in our lifetimes, and we agreed this was the best we’d ever had. Perfect creamy flavors and sauce consistency with fresh pasta. Very memorable. The fresh gnocchi was also very special, and the tiramisu was light and delicious without the strong alcohol taste and moisture that you get sometimes.
Service was really bad. The bread was hard like it had been sitting out for a day, had to ask 3-4 times for oil and salt and pepper to dip bread in and never received the sugar for my iced tea, which went to waste. The slow service had us waiting there for an extra 30 minutes for our check. The pasta sauce was good, but not worth the stress and bad service.
It is not my first time in this restaurant. I have gone there twice. The first time the service was amazing, served by Saul, who was very attentive. The second time around, we got another waiter, but this waiter was not as attentive as he should be, which made me disappointed because it was my daughters first time there and for anything asked he had an excuse, which I disliked. I wish I remembered his name, yet again, the food was amazing as always and their white sangria was delish. I would recommend this restaurant, but if they fixed the service and it would had been as good as the first time, they would had 4 stars. Saul thank you for your service, you are amazing.
I live in Jersey about 1hr. away I was in thr bronx visiting family gift hungry and started looking fit places ti eat. And this place popped up. Omg this place is awesome! The food is fantastic the quality, portions the atmosphere. Its best to make a reservation because it gets packed. Everything is freshly made. The waitress we had was amazing she is the best. Hands down the best service in a long time. If you thinking of going stop reading and call you WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. Indoor and out door seating. Thr family and I get going back we will be here once a month . Thank you for everything
Great service everyone is very nice & very polite 5 stars on that alone. And the food; everything was great. We had the spicy pepperoni pizza, Carbonara pasta and the Eggplant Rollatini. I live in New Jersey but I would definitely be coming back to the Bronx just to come eat here again.
Placed an order to go for a family of five. We ordered two orders of fettuccine Alfredo ($21 + $3 for chicken), one antipasto ($29) and an order of chicken fingers with fries ($12). The food was underwhelming and a bit over priced. The only thing anyone liked was the chicken fingers... and the opinion is coming from a child who loves any chicken fingers lol. The fettuccine tasted like almost nothing, maybe a light butter and light cream with under seasoned chicken. The antipasto was OK, calamari was a bit too chewy. I don’t think I’ll be returning honestly as it was my first time ordering with them and I was not impressed.
What a Delicious, Sumptuous, example of Great Italian Dining. Every bite of their display, was filled with mouthwatering aromas. Our banquet was served with pride, joy, integrity, created with Heart warming,... Love. Even the music 🎶 created an atmosphere of excellence and fun.😄
Was so excited try an Italian place on Arthur Avenue and after reading the reviews chose this one. I ordered a glass of wine, didn’t receive it, and also received no apology. Food came and no one asked how my food was. Place was not busy, and others were asked how their food was. Will return to Arthur Avenue, will not return here, due to poor service. Veal meatballs were descent.
Hands down my favorite Italian restaurant in The Bronx! The people are great and food is great!!This is the type of place that you go to for a real deal Italian experience.I ordered from here when the pandemic first started just to continue to support them!!!!The food is always good (and I’m picky about my Italian food)
Lovely place! I came here with my wonderful boyfriend for my birthday. The atmosphere makes you feel like youre at home. The staff is very friendly and the food was delicious. The owner stopped by each and every table to talk and make sure everyone felt welcome. Its like I caught a peek into the life of a happy Italian family.
Service was the best part of Antonios to see and feel his energy was awesome. They were all very courteous and welcoming. The food was good as well. In the table of 3 we had Eggplant Parmesan, Chicken Parm, and House Lasagna. All were well made. The Caesar salad was surprisingly crisp and the amount of dressing was just right. It was also my first time trying and Italian cheesecake for those who have not had it it is definitely worth the try!
Food was great - I had the fresh ravioli and it was the best ravioli Ive had. The friends I was with agreed that theirs was great food as well. Atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable; the owners rendition of Happy Birthday to another guest was funny and entertaining. Service was attentive. Definitely somewhere we will be returning.
Amazing service and amazing food. Best pasta Ive ever had! My plate had what looked like a pound of meat in my Bolognese. Our waitress, Melissa was perfect and helped us customize our meals to perfection, and did it all by memory. You should come here if you are looking for food in Bronx Little Italy. I didnt even wait to finish my food before reviewing, and I barely ever review things. Ill be back.
This is such a great restaurant. I have been her numerous times and everything is delicious. They start you off with fresh bread and olive oil that is superb, have lovely wines and make good suggestions about offerings on the menu. I have never been disappointed. I would recommend reservations for weekend evenings. It gets crowded then.
Amazing food and service. Had a family party to celebrate my daughter’s graduation and entire staff, including the owner, went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. So friendly and accommodating. We were 20 people so I went with a party package. So much food and all delicious. It was perfect and highly recommend.
Hands down one of the best restaurants to which Ive ever been, Italian or otherwise. The food is phenomenal. They start you out with bread, but not the tasteless generic stuff thats on the table at most places, but really fresh, high quality bread. We then ordered appetizers, specifically we had the veal meatballs. The meat is exceedingly fresh. Generally veal is fairly bland but the freshness really brought out the flavor (along with the fact that they were DELICIOUSLY fried). For an entree, I had the Lasagna and my girlfriend had the Ziti, they came out piping hot and after a brief time letting them cool down, we were stunned. The pasta tastes fresh and homemade, the cheeses were superb and sauce was just the right kind of sweet. I also liked in my lasagna the fact that the meat was crushed and sprinkled throughout. While the food is the main attraction, the service was fast and extremely friendly. The ambiance leaves nothing to be desired, its attractive and hip, without trying too hard. The music playing in the background is varied, and yet all the song seem appropriate for the locale. The prices are moderate and extremely fair for the quality of the food. This is a great place no matter the occasion, really as good as it gets.
Stopped in for dinner tonight after our day at the zoo and we were not at all impressed. Picked the restaurant because it has amazing reviews but both dishes my husband and I ordered were extremely bland. My fettuccine alfredo tasted like pasta with butter and cream, very under seasoned and really no flavor at all. The kids mozzarella sticks were good though, our son enjoyed them. Staff was friendly but seemed very all over the place. We waited a long time to order and never even received the high chair we had requested for our two year old.
This place was so good. It is family owned, our server was Melissa she was so cool. They really make you feel like family here. I had the butternut squash my husband had the spaghetti and meatballs. I also had a glass of rose and a Napolitano Flan which was SO good and an Expresso. I would definitely go back here.
We went there after going to the Botanical Gardens. We were meet at the door by the owner. He was friendly and warm. The food is excellent!! We shared the salad pizza, gnocchi, spinach calzone, and sausage & pepper roll. All fresh, large portions that tasted amazing. The only reason for 4 stars was due to our waiter. He was very slow, not communicative, and our meal took much longer than necessary. We will definitely be back.
The quintessential Italian dining experience. Not only is the food absolutely divine, but the service is impeccable. Wonderful hosting and waiting staff that are dedicated to making your meal as comfortable and delicious as possible. Dont miss out on some of the finest food in the New York area.
Really good authentic Italian (and Italian- American) style food in Little Italy of the Bronx Arthur Avenue neighborhood...Family friendly but also a place to take a date. Low lighting with a nice long bar in the front room and a larger back seating area. A nice selection of pasta, chicken, veal, a couple seafood options, and Pizza all at reasonable (but not inexpensive) prices. Get a reservation in advance, this place will be full on weekends from 5-10pm!
Delicious food and great atmosphere! Staff is very friendly. When we arrived the restaurant was very crowded but we were told thered be a table soon and we were seated fairly quickly. I had spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were some of the best Ive ever eaten!! Yummy yum yum!!
We went last night! It was so much fun. It felt like everyone was family. We celebrated my best friends birthday, food was delicious atmosphere was festive with all the people there. Our waitress was absolutely a doll. Great service, great food and great atmosphere. We came from Ct,bklyn and Staten Island. Worth the ride. Joe and your team thank you!!
I never leave reviews but our dining experience at Antonios was so amazing, I had to say that if you are looking for a place to eat in Littly Italy, this is it! There are great gluten free options, including pasta, that are well marked and everyone else in my party said it was the best pasta theyve had in their lives. And Melissa was an incredible server who helped us all choose and customize the perfect meal for each person. And the portions were enormous, which made us even happier! Cant wait to come back!
Im not one to review but this place earned it.My family and I went to this restaurant (July 11th) and we were greeted and sat down outside, then they unexpected happened. The most random rain, I thought I was in the Caribbean with the way it was raining and how windy it was. Anyway, I wanted to try a different Italian restaurant besides patricias on Morris Park, the food there has become bland, but back to Antonios. Once it started to rain they quickly rushed everyone inside, for that I was grateful because it was my babys first time out in a while and I did not want him to get wet with the rain. They allowed those who had already ordered to sit inside and finish their food, and honestly I thought that was very nice of them being the circumstance NY is in right now. So we sat down and ordered, I ordered the calamari for appetizer and Alfredo with chicken and my partner ordered penne allá vodka. Delicious, thats it. Real pasta btw, so good I had to take some home with me to indulge later when my baby went to sleep lol, the service was amazing everyone in there was very nice and not just because it rained and they wanted to accommodate everyone, but because I genuinely could tell that this is who they are, they care about their customers and with that being said, they have another customer coming back soon, of course next time Ill check the weather in case theres any hurricanes stopping by. I didnt get anyones name, but to everyone on that afternoon/evening shift, thank you! Oh and they give hand sanitizer once you sit! Another plus!
Food was delicious but service is not up to par. Waitress did not bring change back which many would argue is not something to object. However, it is about the principle. Any other restaurant with class, a waiter asks “did you want any change back?” That courtesy was not offered to us and she just said “have a great night” that kind of treatment is unacceptable not coming back here again
Plain Spaghetti and Meatballs, nothing more, nothing less. The litmus test of Italian restaurants. This was some of the best Italian food Ive ever had. The sauce tasted like what my father, who learned from his Sicilian grandmother, makes, and that is the highest praise I can possibly give. Would recommend wholeheartedly.
All I can say is wow. The staff is super friendly and provide great service. The wine was wonderful, the food was out of this world. Fresh pasta, delicious salads and fantastic cannoli to finish it off. I highly recommend this place if you are in the mood for an authentic Italian restaurant.
Amazing atmosphere, amazing and welcoming staff, awesome food - we could not decide what to take so much choice there was, we will have to come back soon. We are a French couple and what we tasted here was better than all the Italian restaurants we could ever try in France and in NYC. Our waiter was so kind and realized we enjoyed so much the experience that he offered us a second wine of glass - we had red wine, tasty and fruity like you would imagine Italy is.We are going back asap and with a bunch of friends if possible!
The place was crowded (Always a good sign). I waited at the bar 25 minutes before being asked Can I get you anything to drink. I was accompanied by My Italian Male Partner (I am Puerto Rican, it could have been a problem for the bartenders. The waiters were attentive, service was good and the food was Amazing!
Wonderful Italian CuisineDined all fresco on a Thursday evening.Heres what I had:1. Mozzarella Caprice2. Veal Sorrentino3. Cheese cake4. Cannoli5. Martini6. Glass of Sauvignon BlancAll very good. No waiting due to the day and the pandemic.Server was attentive and helpfulI enjoyed it.
My favorite place in the world to eat. The food is exceptional and the atmosphere is fantastic. Everyone cares about the customers. The owner Joey is a great guy and the bartender Joe is a fan favorite; everybody loves him. Great family resturaunt and Antonios Trattoria helps make deciding where to go eat easy, no place is better!
We got the Shrimp Scampi and the lasagna di casa. The Shrimp was way overcooked, to a point where it tasted like soap. The scampi sauce instead of tasting the butter, lemon and wine, it tasted like seafood soap, the nasty shrimp flavor took over the whole dish the only good thing was the side pasta served with garlic amd oil. Lasagna was alright very filling. Servers only had one table which was me and my boyfriend and some other people behind us and not one time our server came to check if the food was alright, the server was more worried about his family meal than ours and it got to a point where we got another server because the one we had was not paying mind to us as we were looking at the empty restaurant. We were not offered any drinks but water and is not like the served was around for us to ask him for it. If they were more attentive Im prettu sure they wouldve gotten a better tip and review. Food was a 3 out of 5 and service well... 2 out of 5.
I ate there with two friends after a visit to New York Botanical Garden. What a great find of a restaurant! Food was delicious and service outstanding. Eggplant Fiorentina and pasta side were great, as was my friends pasta with white clam sauce. Cheesecake for dessert - a huge yum.
I haven’t even opened the containers to eat and I’m in love already not only is it well packaged (pasta is separated from the chicken parmigiana) I asked for bread and butter on the side and not only did they give me bread and butter, they gave me like a half a loaf of sourdough bread and actually enough butter 😇🙏🏽
Big disappointment for me. I had planned to go for a long while. Went with party of four , music they were playing jammed on the same song , so we listened for our entire stay. The food was nothing even close to good restaurant quality. Can get same at very good pizzerias.
I cant say enough good things about Antonios! The owner, Joey, is incredible. Hes kind, caring, and makes a point to connect with each of his customers. He sang happy birthday for someone, brought us drinks, and we had a conversation with him before leaving, where he thrust several candies into our hands. The food is delicious! We had appetizers and a margarita pizza, as well as the dessert pizza, which came strongly recommended to us by our friends and did not disappoint!!
Second time I was there and there was great service, great food but seating in the first room was cramped. The first time I was there I was seated in the main dining room and it was a totally different experience in terms of seating comfort. Both times I went the wait staff was excellent. Food was delicious.
Great go to real deal Italian spot right by Arthur Avenue. Handmade pasta is delicious and bread is fresh baked from around the corner. Personalities are great! Joseph, behind the bar and belting out a happy birthday every chance he gets, is a pillar there! We used to go with my grandmother when she lived in the neighborhood and though shes gone, well keep it a tradition for special occasions.
Antonio’s is a great little hidden gem at the Jersey Shore. They offer a variety of homemade pastas and a large menu, which we found pleased everyone at a recent family party we had there. Bring your own alcohol and they won’t find lite decorating for private parties. Antonio’s is an excellent choice for great Italian food at a reasonable price.
The service of the waiters here were possibly one of the worst I experienced, the waiter was so rude, even up to expressing their frustration with other customers, I was with family at the time and it made our atmosphere uncomfortable. Half the time it didnt even seem like we had a waiter... our plates stacked up and we werent getting refills as frequent, even when promptly asked. The prices were ridiculous for the food they served, which I might add; Ive had better in Philadelphia. Quality of the food is average, I wouldve been better off buying food at a bodega.I dont visit New York very often, but this place for sure is one Ill stay away from for a while.
Fabulous place to eat. We have been here 5 times and have never been disappointed by the food or service. The atmosphere is very warm and staff are very friendly, makes you feel like your are part of a family. Veal dishes are our favorites, very tender and tasty each time. Highly recommend to all.
Had my 21st birthday dinner here. Atmosphere was great, food was delicious, and the best part when the entire staff and customers sang happy birthday for me with a beautiful cake and candles. As a barista, being offered a cappuccino after eating dinner was such a delightful feeling. It was smooth and the cinnamon on top just made me feel cozy.Would definitely return. And would def recommend.Did I mention they dont rush your birthday anthem? Thats a way to make someone feel special!
Very good, but not as great as reviews suggest. Owner is warm and inviting, as others say. And servers work hard to accommodate your needs. But the food seemed more American than Italian. The chicken sorrento was very salty and I could barely taste the eggplant; my friend’s chicken scarpa swam in a red sauce (since when?!); rigatoni Norma was nice but a bit lackluster. On the up side, the wine and Nutella calzone I shared were excellent. The cannoli are from Artuso, which are fab (but it’s down the block so just buy them there along with some sfogliatelle — you won’t be sorry). I would go back to try the pizza and homemade pasta, especially because their fresh mozzarella is from Casa (THE best). That fare might win me over completely to this place. But this first experience was a bit more hype than heavenly Italian.

Second time I was there and there was great service, great food but seating in the first room was cramped. Iheard so much about this restaurant from my friends so i finally decided to get there! The staff in this place are so kind and welcoming! The food was amazing, the atmosphere was intimate! The service was also top notch! I will definetly recommend to try this place and try their gorgozola salad with shrimps!
Great neighborhood...fantastic people behind this establishment. Now lets get to the food. I call their food beautiful. Ive been there upward of 15 times and EVERYTHING Ive ever had--(from seafood to chix parm etc. ) has been exceptionally tasty. Paired with a nice wine and a desert to follow, a meal at Antionios Trattoria is truly worth the trip over to Belmont/Arthur Ave. Eat slowly and enjoy every bite. Hit the bar for a lemonchello on the way out.
We were treated with excellent care by all the staff. Bread arrived warm, our entrees (chicken parmigiano and short ribs) were of good portion and delicious. We forced ourselves to stop eating so we could save room for the freshly filled cannolis -they didnt disappoint! The. Jack and Coke was perfectly made and the sautéed spinach and fresh green beans were cooked to perfection. We will come again th next time were in town.

2021-11-27Looking for authentic Italian food with great service and atmosphere? Definitely make a stop at Antonios. It is the best food on our vacation so far, far better than the great food in Manhattan.I ordered their special of Pork Tenderloin stuffed with asparagus, green peppers and tomatoes in wine sauce. I had a chocolate martini to wash it down. For dessert it was tiramisu with coffee, a delicious ending to a fabulous meal. I highly recommend making your way out to Little Italy Bronx next time youre in town, its well worth the trip.

2022-06-20Antonio’s never disappoints. Great food every time. Service was a little slow this trip but still giving 5 stars overall because this place deserves it. Definitely worth your time if you visit Little Italy

2022-05-10Rigatoni Norma (pasta, smoked eggplant and smoked mozzarella) was so delicious. The portions were big enough to take home (as hard as it was to not finish all of it). Everyone was happy with their choices. The calamari and cannoli were delicious, and decaf cappuccino was the cherry on top!

2021-08-02Antonios Trattoria has been on my bucket lists for years and we finally got a chance to try it after our visit to the Bronx Botanical Garden. Its definitely one of the well-known and popular Italian restaurants in the neighborhood. The decor is vintage, authentic and wide-spaced with lots of seating. Both indoor & outdoor dining are available currently. The options on the menu werent in a great variety but pretty decent. We had their Short Ribs Toscana ($26) & signature pasta Gnocchi Alla Boscaiola ($19) and both were delicious. The short ribs were so impressive, well-braised and soft.

2022-04-27Coming here for years. We loved Joe the old singing server. Alfonso and John are the veteran servers now here. They are great. Get off Arthur Ave and come over here!

2021-08-30Lots of love from the staff. Family type environment. Food was delicious. Very layback way of taking orders. Little pricy but worth it. Excellent dishes. Best calamari Ive ever had. The capacinno is to die for. Was too stuffed to get dessert although it looked awesome ❤ definitely recommend 👌🏽
