This is the worst building to live in. The management is horrible; they treat tenants inhumanly. The fact they dont disinfect the common areas, many tenants get contracted of the covid-19. They dont clean the floors; the entire building is a mess; they care about their rent but not about the tenants wellbeing. Whenever you move out, they take forever with your deposit, and they don’t give you the full amount because they come out with a lot of nonsense, such as cleaning fee, utilities meanwhile they inspected your place before move out.I wouldn’t ever encourage anyone to move to Apex River front until they don’t remove the actual manager. She so discriminative; meanwhile, they rely on tenants.
I’m writing this review because I absolutely love the place that I live I love my apartment beautiful view and amenities. Not to forget to mention the amazing management they have.I want to thank Leslie Frank for being helpful and so professional for doing an amazing job. Also the too leasing agents Endrita and Ada thank you girls for always helping me and my wife with everything!I don’t understand some of the reviews I see I honestly think some people throw garbage and trash out the place on purpose , probably these are the people who don’t want to pay rent !! And they want to give a bad impression to the other people! But please don’t let these people stop you from living at an amazing property with beautiful Hudson River view !!FYI : And I don’t get paid to write this review !
We have lived here since the building opened in 2018. Our apartment has beautiful views of the river. We actually love our apartment itself. It is a corner unit with a lot of light and a deck. The only complaint I have about our actual apartment is the water pressure - it is very weak.My problems are with the building, community, and management.Management: employees change monthly, dont expect responses to email inquiries, expect to be nickel and dimed for everything (as an example, guest parking spots cost $15, and we already pay for our own 2 spots, $225/month)Park: Filled with loud people all summer, lots of litter, can feel unsafeFire Alarms: They have been a nightmare, a nightmare!!!!!Rent Increases: After first year was 7%, after second year was proposed to be 18%!!Pool: I did not use it once, it is small and was absolutely PACKED everyday of the summerGym: Nice, not too crowdedPackage delivery: Again with the litany of charges - you will be forced to pay to receive your own packagsSecurity: NoneManagement: After moving from a community with really amazing management, it was a shock. I learned quickly to lower my expectations as far as possible. Just dont expect anything. Dont expect them to be friendly, responsive, helpful, and you will be fine with them. We have had almost zero interaction with management since we moved in and its been fine.
I recently joined the community here and have had such a lovey experience! I worked with Andrea (in the leasing office), who was knowledgeable, helpful and so friendly :) The building itself - as well as my unit, is beautiful and modern. Any maintenance issues have been handled quickly and efficiently. All in all, love living here!
I’m not sure why there are so many negative reviews. We’ve been living here for almost 1 year now and it has been nothing less than amazing. Our journey began with Ada — she’s a ROCKSTAR. Ada is very knowledgeable of the building and it’s apartments. In addition, she knows the area very well and you can always rely on her for suggestions. She continues to be helpful and attentive to this day.
After you sign that lease everything goes downhill. When I Moved I was so excited my first time moving alone in a beautiful luxury apartment the only luxury thing about this building is the price. Sandra was the manager in charged when I moved in this lady did not care for complaints or concerns. It was almost impossible to get in contact with her. Noisy neighbors, Excessive music after 1am, Noise from neighbors who are not tenants. This building is suppose to be a smoke free zone one of the many reasons I moved In here people will smoke cigarets and weed in the hallways as well as the balconies when you send a complain it was ignored as usual. I have prove off the emails With noise complaints unanswered. Eventually had to take drastic measures and call the cops. In several occasions people would sneak in the pool late night hours and make excessive noise. Complaints that the property manager refuse to address or take measures. When tenant complain she ignored us. Was looking forward to July 4th to spend it in the barbecue area, What a catastrophe tenants were holding grills for hours not letting other tenants use them people were coming in and out as they please. People smoking weed not respecting that kids were around. Music with bad wording it was a horrible experience I was extremely embarrass with my family that came to visit people were acting like animals. Security on duty were drinking and minding their own business.Next manager Desire the worst of them all.
Really love certain parts of the building. When we moved in when it was Modera, but one huge issue is the fire alarm. They have an alarm system built into each apt so when there’s a trigger your entire apartment will begin blaring so loud your ear drums vibrate. The alarm will go off randomly and at any time. The alarm will sometimes blare for half an hour, once the system malfunctioned and had it go off for an hour or more. My dog hates it and cries and will wet herself if it persists because it’s that loud. The building is now called Apex and the issues pursue. New management often cycles concierges so don’t get attached to anyone. The concierge staff and maintenance people are great and helpful but the management is less than appealing. Often times getting a key reprogrammed can take a day or more and questions will be answered in a less than helpful way. Wonderful views and great amenities (when my key lets me access them).
My review relates to the process of viewing an apartment. The number you call for leasing is never answered. My messages were not returned. I went there today at 10:25 and the leasing staff had not arrived yet. (they were suppose to be there at 10:00am). Door man was not helpful. Seemed annoyed when I asked where leasing staff was. He said they arrive at 10:00am. I had to inform him it was now 10:25 am. Bottom line, Im concerned that it is impossible to get through on the phone. Decided to move on and look someplace else.
I moved into Modera Hudson Riverfront a month ago, and I am very pleased thus far. First and foremost, I absolutely love my apartment! I’m a resident of a one bedroom apt. It’s very comfortable, spacious, and the views are absolutely breathtaking. The building and community is very peaceful and quiet considering the fact this is the city that never sleeps. This is very important to me because I occasionally work at night, and I’m able to get a good days rest here. The on site managers are very friendly and helpful. Moving in a new apartment can be very stressful, but Jaclyn Croke, one of the leasing managers made the process easy and stress free. Being that this is a brand new building, I haven’t had to use maintenance, but I have met a few of the members on the maintenance crew. This made me feel confident that they will respond in a timely manner if I may need them in the future. I couldn’t be more satisfied.
The building would be great if the fire alarms werent CONSTANTLY GOING OFF. The fire alarms go off throughout the entire building, including inside the units, at least once a week at all hours. The alarms are so loud, it is painful and Im not exaggerating when I say I am starting to worry about the damage to our ears. My poor dog is terrified every time this happens and, because the alarms often continue intermittently and randomly for an hour after the initial alarm, it takes a long time for her to calm down. Management has yet to do anything to rectify the situation although they are clearly aware of it.EDIT: I wanted to add to this review to let everyone know that the issue with the fire alarms persist. It went off this weekend after midnight and the explanation from the concierge was that someone bumped the lever with a package. The management company has changed since my last review, but there has been no improvement and, in fact, I think things are getting worse. There are frequent noise issues with other tenants and when you complain (by walking to the front desk concierge because there is no way to contact by phone or when you try to call you get the option to leave a voicemail that will be responded to promptly that is never responded to), you are told that they will take a note but that you can call the police if you want. There are clearly defined community quiet hours in the lease that building management apparently has no interest in enforcing, nor the smoke free community clause of the lease. Emails and phone calls to building management are NEVER responded to and, even if you can get into the office while theyre open to speak to them live, they will tell you one thing and either change their minds later or do not follow through. Maintenance requests are a joke and in spite of the fact that the building only opened a year and a half ago and we were the first tenants in our apartment, paint is peeling from the walls. Security is nonexistent.
I heard both and good reviews about this place so i decided to check it out personally. Been here recently with my girlfriend since we are looking for a new place...and we had a really nice and productive tour with our consultant Endrita. The building both from inside and outside is clean, same on floors. Apartments are well designed and have a nice size! The yard is beautiful and clean also, area is safe and quiet, and whats important is the view...its amazing!!!We Didnt see lots of residents at that time but those whom we saw and asked, everyone seemed satisfied living there. Endrita was very helpful, and she explained everything clearly so we didnt even have any questions left to ask...Many thanks to you for making our tour exciting:) and being so professional! Personally me, I would recommend ,at least, to check this place out. And yea i would consider coming back here soon.
If you asked me to write a review back in February I would have given the worst review ever. Fast Forward I must admit I have seen a significant change for the better since being under new Management. I must give credit when it is due to Leslie Frank and her team as they have stepped up and have started to make my personal living experience here at Apex way better. To come in and clean up someone else mess and actually be productive is amazing. Apex is such a beautiful building which obviously caught my eye I just feel the old Management didnt put their foot down and allowed anyone to do as they pleased causing it to feel like I lived in a Frat house. I was borderline going to break my lease and move yet Leslie worked with me and assured me there would be rules and regulations in place and she has lived up to her word. I know there are a lot of bad reviews previously and I do see those reviews changing for the better in time. Thank you Leslie you are doing an amazing Job
Love my apartment the modern and contemporary look is a plus! The views from the apartment are great! All the personnel I’ve come in contact with have been extremely helpful especially Andrea! She helped me with my apartment and made sure everything went smoothly. Haven’t been here too long but so far so good!
I am so happy I have made the move to the Modera. Having lived in NYC for the last 20 years I was looking for a change of pace. The Modera was exactly what I was looking for. The building is beautifully designed, well taken care of and has all the amenities you could ask for. My apartment is spacious and has a great view of the Hudson. The building is close to Metro-North and there are many routes to drive to NYC. All the staff, from administrators to the concierges to the cleaning staff, are friendly and very helpful. It is basically like living in a high-end hotel. I also really enjoy being able to walk my dog by the river each day. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance and also grocery and drug stores close by. I love being able to go to the city one day and out into Westchester the next. It really is the best of both worlds. The amenities are amazing: outdoor pool, recreation sky lounge with a pool table and excellent fitness center. Overall I hope to make the Modera my home for years to come.
My husband and I just signed our lease for the Apex Hudson Riverfront all thanks to Taylor! From the moment I requested information on the luxury apartments Taylor has been with us every step of the way. He made sure to answer every single one of our questions ( in person and via email!!), he was knowledgeable, attentive and extremely courteous. During our search for our new home we met many leasing agents and none of them made the apartment feel like home like Taylor did. Before the end of our first tour we were completely in love and sold on our new home. Apex, you guys have your self a winner on your hands !!! Taylor is a grade A agent and I am very happy to have found him and the Apex Hudson Riverfront.
I almost dont know how to feel about this building. There was so much potential when I moved in last summer under the Modera management. I was surprised that a new management took over literally within months of me moving in and since then the turnaround of leasing and building associates is quite scary. No longer is this building somewhat considered luxury, it should be coined for low/moderate income. The elevators are disgusting, the noise in the hallways are obnoxious, the level of professionalism is disappointing. The front desk concierge is a joke, youre lucky if someone is there to greet you. They are in serious need of new Bellman carts. For the amount of money you are spending there needs to be some kind of standards. Its unfortunate because the units really are nice, and the views of the Hudson are breathtaking.
Everyone that works there is nice but the girl named Endrita was amazing and so nice. Me and my partner where looking for a comfortable apartment and she showed us a lot of options. Endrita was very knowledgeable of the building and of the area, and one of the best from them. Highly recommended
Amazing experience here ,had my appointment at 9:30am, the apartments are so well designed and the ladies in the office are amazing , very polite. Ada and Enderrita thank you ! I will be moving in soon !! Concierge welcome me so warmly and got me set up for the tour , perfect environment Especially with the manager leslie very professional. Thank you !!!
We have lived here for about a year . We really are seeing some improvements and decided to renew our lease for another year. We came from Manhattan so it was a bit a struggle at first to be up here in Yonkers TBH. The location and access of the building brings random intruders that usually trash or break things here, but building employees are trying to improve that with new management, legal action and officer patrols. Maintenance has a employee named Alex and he always does a top-rate job and is kind and experienced in all the tasks assigned. He has done a few repairs for our apartment and did an excellent job! We always see him working. He was a big reason why we stayed. Overall things are really nice here now and we are optimistic about the future.
PLEASE LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS!we moved here 9 months ago and saw how terrible the reviews were but we still went ahead and signed a lease because how gorgeous it was. Amenities are great. View and location is perfect however this place is POORLY MANAGED no matter how many times they fire and hire people. Fire alarms go off for 12 hours (all night) and when asked why nobody knows anything. Concierge is never at their desk. Its just ridiculous. I rather live at Hudson (which we lived at previously)
I would give this establishment 0 stars if possible.Complete incompetence withing the leasing office staff.Purposely ignores calls from applicantsAnd have refused for over 2 months to returnMy 526usd deposit.Leslie in the leasing office is an absolutely trash human being.Heed my warning do not rent from this company while they are still employed.
I moved into the Modera in April and have had one issue after another. I decided to move into a new build because I was tired of dealing with all the maintenance issues in my old building. On the surface, the building is pretty and while I like my apartment, it stands on shaky ground, literally. They did not build the foundation correctly and the building is settling at a significant rate towards the river. I have a window Ive been trying to get fixed since the month after I moved in. The most recent work order was put in on October 22nd and I just found out today that it will be at least another month before it is fixed. The gap between the frame and the window continues to get bigger. Multiple doors in the apartments and hallways are sticking because the drastic settling is making them crooked. The paint on the walls is super cheap and the slightest brush against the walls will make a mark. You can see some of the tape work seams under the paint. The heating/air conditioning unit is super loud and the insulation isnt great resulting in the need to keep the thermostat higher or lower than youd like it to be. The electric bills are the highest Ive ever paid. The balconies are not secure - they are starting to tilt down and away from the apartments. The pool is ridiculously small for the number of units in the building. The spots in the parking garage are so tight that you cant open both doors of your car at the same time. Theres no way to call the concierge despite there being a phone at the desk. So if theres a noise issue late at night, you have to get out of bed and go downstairs to try to get some resolution. The fire alarms are constantly going off at all hours and ear piercingly loud. My poor dog freaks out and its usually because someone burned some food. The concierge wont let people into the building and despite being able to give visitors access via virtual key, theres no way for them to get to the floor due to the need for a key fob to unlock the main elevator. Speaking of visitors, there are only 5 or 6 visitors parking spots for 320 units. And theres no parking in the neighborhood. There are time restrictions on the Sky Lounge due to noise, but no restrictions on kids constantly running around up there. It becomes more like a playground than a lounge. The building is marketed as a Staycation residence but all the rules restrict that and the lounge being used as a playground does not help. There are a lot of nice, cool people in the building and the management does nothing to encourage community. Rather than handle any issues like adults, it feels like we are being reprimanded every time a new rule is put into place. We have requested Town Halls with residents and management and have been denied. We were told there would be monthly mixers and opportunities for the residents to get to know each other but outside of 1 or 2 instances early on, that hasnt happened. Theres still no dog shower (as promised) and the water quality and pressure are awful. On top of everything, while most of the people in management are very nice, getting them to respond can be like pulling teeth at times. You have to push and push to get anything done. Case in point - they have only responded to the positive reviews here. Anything negative or challenging is ignored.I really want to love living here and was so excited to move in. I was excited to have access to a beautiful rooftop 24 hours a day and a pool I could relax next to after work. As someone who commutes and works in midtown (one of their targeted audiences), the hours on the pool make it impossible to use during the week if you work full time and commute. Im paying for amenities Im not even able to utilize. It is more of a restrictive community than a Staycation community. Its a shame - it had, and still has, the potential to be a really great community building.
My roommate and I moved in in August of 2018. The apartments themselves are very nice. I agree with some reviews that you can hear a lot through the walls. I can often hear a baby crying through the walls. That being said, the hardware and quality of the actual unit I live in is nice. My roommate and I both have a walk-in closet and our own bathroom with laundry and dishwasher in unit. The common areas are well kept for the most part. The real issue is the number of disrespectful tenants in this building who leave trash, spill drinks or food, etc. Theres no way cleaning can keep up with it. The sky lounge is nice but often dirty with people smoking and/or blasting loud music.Every apartment has a nicely sized porch but you can hardly sit out to enjoy them because many tenants play loud music and smoke weed or cigarettes in the courtyard. I feel like I live in a dorm full of frat boys when I sit outside.I echo the comments about the fire alarm. I have emailed multiple times asking for a response with nothing- and please to the owner of this building- dont comment on this post offering to speak with me. I have tried to speak with the management here on multiple occasions to no avail. This building was recently sold by Modera to Apex. I hope Apex can do something to make this place what we pay for it to be. It has a lot of potential but the management and disrespectful tenants make it an expensive frat house.
Though beautiful on the outside, They cut every corner when it came to privacy in your apartment. The walls are paper thin. You can here the conversations from tenants across the hall when your in your own apartment. I have also been woken up every night from my neighbors above me. There is no isolation between the floors. Your neighbors walking around will keep you awake at night. Their footsteps echo and vibrate my entire apartment. I am terribly disappointed in my decision to move into the Modera. I feel like I am living in a dorm. I have been complaining about my apartment since I moved in and still nothing is getting done. I tip toe around because I know how much noise my walking around will make. It has been an extremely uncomfortable living experience and I have only been there for two months.
After reading mixed reviews just like anyone else I was a little concerned before moving into Apex Hudson but since day one my experience was a breeze with the help of Mr. Taylor Sawyer. The entire process prior to moving in, during moving in, and while being a current tenant I must say my wife and I are at constant comfort knowing that we have the amazing help and support of Taylor. Thank you to the staff at Apex I continue to look forward to THIS kind of customer service and the growth of this beautiful complex for the future.
It’s very deceiving, because the views are amazing and the immediate surroundings along the water are nice as well, units are nice laid out. However the majority of the building is for low income housing so i felt like i was living more in a project building than a luxury building... security or lack there of... and no one can answer any questions about any issues such as noise fire alarms portal malfunctions ECT! There’s groups making freaking rap videos right out front. No one wants to see that and the smoking especially with kids around... def not renewing!
They sent me an email 15 days after I moved out saying they would refund some of the deposit. The email arrived over 2 months ago, have called twice and mailed twice but have received no money or explanation. I could talk about the incompetence of Apex Management while we lived there but I think the deposit issue is a perfect example. Its a small amount of money and I think they really intended to pay what is owed, they are just incompetent and no one takes responsibility for anything.
Terrible experience!!! I had an appointment to look @ a 1 bedroom apartment at the Riverfront; when i arrived i was told to sign in at the front desk. Ada, the leasing agent, whom i was supposed to meet with had me wait 8-10 mins; she nor her colleagues never came out to greet meet. These leasing people are totally unprofessional, prejudice perhaps, and I am so glad I didnt wait a minute longer. I believe somethings happen for a reason; as i was leaving the complex i could literally hear residents talking in their apartments; its conceivable the wall acoustics are paper thin. I eventually found a wonderful one bedroom apartment at the Continuum in White Plains. I hope whomever is reading this will have a better experience than I did.
We toured the building with Ada. She was kind and friendly. She was able to provide us with details about the building and the community. We toured 2 bedroom apartments with a loft. We are looking to move in around Spring, can’t wait for a water view apartment to become available. Thank you Ada for the awesome tour!
If I could give zero I would. This place is horrible. worst living experience of my life. Thank god my wife and I just left. While the building is beautiful, it is horribly managed. Things go unrepaired, people park in the $150 lot for free by following you in, noise complaints get the response of well, call the police. To wit, I got two separate move out inspections documents with different charges listed. Which one is the real one? I have yet to see as I receieved them in the mail but no check. Save yourself the hassle and aggravation and do not live here. Lastly, do not even try and use the pool. People who do not reside there hop the fence and staff does nothing.
I moved here in April 2019, it has been an absolute nightmare!! I have developed anxiety from the lack of sleep caused by my upstairs neighbor. The building smells, there have been plenty of drug busts, that the building dont inform you about. And the property manager Desiree does a terrible job. She offers no resolution to hard working tenants. I want to get out of here so badly.
The new management is totally incompetent. I lost $10,000 by living there. They do not remind you have a lease breakfee when you ask to terminate the lease. And they charge full month rent when you move out in the early of the month. Their service call is 24hour in robot. If you donot mind to lose $10,000 at this place for a one-year lease, they you can move in.
Poor and unprofessional management!! End of November they decided they were going to change our portal but they did not notify tenants. When most of us could not log into the system to pay December rent. We made time to go to their office and asked what was happening and they said they were changing the portal. They insisted the portal would be up and running by December 5th, which was when December rent was due before the late fee kicked in. On December 5th, most of us had no trace of a mass email about the new portal. We asked repeatedly and they insisted the email was sent, but many tenants never got it.On December 9th, I went to their office to ask about the portal and they told me I must email them and they would send me an email to reset my password. I did and I was able to access the portal. I tried to pay rent online but couldnt. Later, I found out from one of my neighbors that they disabled their online payment function and that was why I was unable to pay rent. This was surprising considering when I went to the office to ask about the portal and specifically told them I wanted to pay rent, they never told me anything about not been able to pay rent online. They insisted they take checks or certified checks ONLY!! Its 2019 and 2020 is in 10 days.....who takes checks only? APEX MANAGEMENT!!! I am not an IT guru but l am pretty sure enabling online payment in the system is MUCH EASIER than collecting checks and going to the bank to cash checks .....then manually updating that information on tenants profile that they have paid. But I could be wrong....afterall, I am a millennial so maybe its gonna take a while for me to understand that there are better ways to do things other than electronically.I have not being able to pay rent to date. I have specifically emailed them to ask why online payment has been disabled considering it is the most efficient and effective form of payment. They have not answered me. They have also added some dubious charges in my account, including double charging me for Landscape view and pest control fee, which are included in the rent. I got my utility bill of $15.81 in November and whoever entered that information in the system added $51.18!! I emailed them and asked them to remove the duplicate charges and give me the accurate amount thats due. Initially they responded to note that they will only remove the late fee if I gave them a check by 4PM on that day. I work in NYC from 9 to 6PM so you can guess what my response was. As for the duplicate charges, they refused to remove them and they have stopped responding to my emails. I wonder if they have blocked me.....because many tenants who have complained to them before have been BLOCKED. Its beyond unprofessional and frustrating. We have to chase them to pay them!! Unheard of!!Two days ago, they sent yet another letter that my rent is overdue. My neighbor, who gave them a certified check last week (specifically what Apex asked for) got the same letter. So they asked for checks but then they dont update their system to reflect payments that have been made. Its ridiculous. Its almost like they dont want our money, here are my thoughts why....1) They disabled online payment and2) They asked for checks only but they dont cash checks nor update their system. Insane!!3) They blame tenants for late payments even tho we were never notified the system was up and running4) They added dubious charges to my account and they refuse to take off5) They have stopped responding to my emails where I raise valid concerns!!
We just resigned our lease with Apex Hudson Riverfront and are looking forward to our second year here! Huge shoutout to Taylor Sawyer for making us feel supported and heard every step of the way, even responding to late night emails! Overall, very pleased with the building and the new management.
Now owned by J(e)RK management. Modera as it was called in its good year is now Apex. Apexs first order of business upon taking over was to remove all the good staff and increase everyones next renewal by 10-20%Emails to staff are not answered. And the old man that occasionally sits at the reception desk is extremely rude.Their response to the pandemic is as follows -Advise residents to make alternate arrangements for packages.Fight us when attempting to retrieve packages that they have accepted into their mail room rather than putting them into the self-retrieval package concierge system.Wait a month before closing the fitness room.Still charge us for access to closed amenities.Staff who are only here to renew leases are of course onsite for those essential lease renewals
I applied for an apt back in december and paid the 500$ they require. We decided not take the apt, therefore asked for deposit back. They charged the deposit to my debit card so I could only assume that it would be credited back to my card. But noooo they said the refund had to come from California in the form of a check in 30 days. I was okay with that! So a month later they say it may take a little more than 30 days. A month later they said the same thing. It is now April 16th 2020 (4) months later and they wont even reply back to my emails. This is the worse refund experience I have experienced. And its not $20 or $50 or $100 its $500 that we are talking about. So if you are not sure you want to live here, dont pay the deposit because you will not get it back. Well at least Im still waiting.
I have such a great experience with the staff members, particularly to Endrita Tahiri. Excellent communication, she was there ready to answer all of my questions, and make my decision easy. Very professional service, she did a great job with me. I’m very happy to share my experience with others and I appreciate everything she’s done for me. Thank you Endrita Tahiri!
Parking, Thermal/Noise, Fire Alarms...The large windows make the units super cold in the winter or super hot in the summer. The Fire Alarm has gone off at least 50 times in the past month. In the last week its been multiple times per night. They have no idea whats going this place had so much potential but its just garbage. its pretty sad. I am moving out soon.
Modera Hudson Riverfront is an absolute gem near all for a city gal like myself. Its my first luxury pre-construction rental and the process from property viewing, choosing the perfect apartment suitable for all my needs to lease signing was top of the line service offered by Jaclyn Croke. Her patience to answer all my questions in person and via email (even on weekends) surpassed all expectations. Jacklyn is attentive to detail, efficient, accommodating and ensures that all needs are met. The Millcreek residential office staff is warm and welcoming, including on-site construction workers. The amenities offered at this property make living simple. The property is exactly what you see on the website and the view is spectacular. I cant wait to move in! Thank you to all Millcreek Residential staff at the Modera Hudson Riverfront, you made this rental process painless. Special thanks to Jacklyn Croke, youre the Best!

2022-03-07The office staff was very accommodating and the concierge was very helpful. The common area was well maintained except for stairways less commonly used, where people often dropped food and garbage on the floor. Additionally, there seems to be an issue that causes the fire alarms to go off. Any repairs requested inside the apartment was addressed in a timely manner. I enjoyed my stay at Apex.

2021-11-29I absolutely love the management staff at Apex. Leslie, Victoria, Ada and the rest of the team constantly go above and beyond to aid their residents in resolving just about any issue in a timely manner. They have shown patience, kindness and understanding even when the pressure is high. My family and I would just like to say thank you for maintaining the human side with kindness, professionalism and hospitality daily.

2022-06-15Im a college student at Sarah Lawrence and I loved living here during my first year in NY. Beautiful, safe location, friendly staff, and great gym just downstairs. The Hudson views are unbeatable, and there are some great shops within walking distance. 10/10!

2022-06-28I’m giving this opinion based of the 2 years I lived at Apex. The building management is very unprofessional and unorganized. You calls are never returned and when they are you seem to get a lot of attitude. Over a 2 year period my rent jumped twice. 1st year was a extra $250, 2nd year extra $400. On top of rent you get another random monthly bill btw $60-$70 (for trash, water, sewer. Etc). If you like sleep this is not the building for your. The fire alarms are absolutely ridiculous. They go off ALLLLLL THE TIME!!!!! ALL TIMES OF NIGHT 1AM, 2AM, 3AM! Try not to be fooled by pool pictures, the pool is small and always over crowded. Last but not lease when it’s time to move they will delay as long as possible before giving back your deposit. I’m still waiting and been out of the unit a month.

2021-11-26Unfortunately you will not get luxury living if you move here. The alarm goes off entirely too many times which is quite loud. The leasing office and staff is UNPROFESSIONAL. There has been many instances where I needed support from the office on matters such as neighbors fighting and loud noises. I was told what do I want them to do. Other instances include missing mail and mismarked packages which caused so many inconvenience. I wanted quality living for my son and I and unfortunately that is not what you will experience for the price you pay.

2020-08-15Just moved here not long ago. I even did not check the other peoples review before I chose this place. By the way, I dont get paid to post my review. The apt. management staff - From my experience, the staff have done a great job to explain to me the apartments and answered the questions I was concerned about. I particularly appreciated Endrita Tahiri took several times in showing the unit that was interested. The other apartments did not offer me tour of the apartments; they only offered the virtual tour on the web. That was the reason I selected Apex apartment. I have got sufficient support from the staff members and apartment manager in my signing of the lease and move in. I could see that they were very busy in answering phone calls or showing the visitors the available apartments. The unit - Good quality of the apartment. beautiful review on Hudson river side. Bathroom is big. The air conditioner is quieter than I expected, which helps me to sleep better at night. The sound proofing of the windows is pretty solid. One thing they could make an improvement is the shower head water spray is too small. Perhaps for the sake of saving water. But it takes longer time to finish the shower. the washing machine and the dryer are bigger than some other apartments. The building - current, I saw the carpet cleaning going on by deep clean on the hallway carpets. My neighbors are quiet (sometimes the dog barks). I do not hear annoying noises. The front of the building is well maintained. People enjoy their walking, jogging, playing on the grass, or just sitting on the benches appreciating the river view. Back of the building can be improved by cleaning of the trash along the curbs and make the trash containers aligned in a position not affecting the traffic flow. The neighborhood - Have no time to discover the neighborhood yet. On the waterfront side it is pretty nice for the five apartment complex next to each other. The police constantly patrol this area. The building located in a secluded area. there is no safety concern. The city - My impression is it a good city with a lot of history and culture. The traffic and the roads are the two things the city can make some improvements.Overall, it is a very good apartment complex. I hope the five water front apartments along the Hudson River to work together and have a good plan to make this areas traffic flow better and the river walking a great attraction for the residents and citizen of the city.

2021-12-23I had concerns regarding my renewal lease and I contacted the manager, Leslie, to discuss at further length. Leslie was very attentive to my needs and resolved the issues promptly. Thank you Leslie and staff. You are the best!

2021-07-21Note: I have been living here for one month.I came across Apex while dining nearby and fell in love with the water view. I was able to apply and move into an apartment within the next month. To be transparent, reading reviews on this location had me a bit worried and made me doubt my decision prior to choosing to live here, so I will address those concerns. Complaints on fire alarms going off for hour on end: since I’ve moved here, the alarm has only gone off once & it was shut off within 2-3 minutes max. Complaints on noise: I have lived both in the ghettos of the Bronx and in the family neighborhoods of Sunnyside. This is the quietest building I’ve lived in. Yes, there are the occasional BBQs with loud music, but it has always been within reasonable hours. I never hear my neighbors next door or above/below. Complaints on broken garage doors or lack of parking: I have never had an issue with finding a parking space, and my car has never been towed. I am able to request as many guest passes as needed the day of without issue. There was a door that was broken during a storm outage and it was fixed within the next two days. They addressed a work order i put in literally in one day and then called me to follow up. I’m not sure who the previous management was, but these folks are definitely trying their best! The leasing office is so welcoming and friendly- love all the ladies that work there, the amenities are nice, and the area is definitely up and coming. The only thing I would improve is actually having someone at the front desk at all times (and I don’t mean overnight but physically being at the desk during the hours when they should), because when they are there, they are amazing at their jobs and super helpful, but 9/10 times, I find an “out on property” sign on the desk instead of a person for very long periods of time. Overall, I love living here, and would 100% recommend you make the move :)

2019-07-01After you sign your lease it goes downhill... Garbage is all over the floor in the parking lot and outside of the gates to get in the garage. There is no security. Everything is falling apart this is a new building no more than 2 years old but it is not maintained. The building was recently sold to Apex which is apart of JRK management group no one answers your phone calls or emails and office hours are non existent they come and go as they please. False Fire alarm constantly goes off and there is no communication on the reasoning for the alarm due to management not answering phone calls or emails. Once my Lease is over i will not be renewing its not worth the money. They only respond to positive reviews and dont address the negative reviews or the underlying issues.

2020-11-10Having lived here for over 2 years, I must say this building is poorly managed. Please read the reviews carefully---any >2 stars are generally from people who have taken a tour but have not actually lived here.Issues to be aware of if considering:The garage door is frequently broken wide open with no repairs or communication from management from people breaking in to park for free (a common event). The halls are stained with animal excrement and many people allow their animals to relieve themselves in the stairwells.Security is non-existent and doors are frequently unlocked (including doors permitting access to residences). The fire alarms are set up so that if anyones alarm goes off in their home, every apartments individual fire alarm goes off at max volume. This is a common occurrence.Packages get stolen from the lobby not infrequently (Ive had 3 go missing this year so far).We have no relationship with the management office--- emails and phone calls go completely unanswered. If you need anything done, youll need to go to the office in person during work hours or youll never, ever hear back.I dont like to be relentlessly negative, but I really wish Id known the above prior to signing my lease. There have been multiple changes in management so Ive stayed hoping the experience would change (because I do think the location and facility have real promise), but it has been consistently disappointing. The sales pitch is very upbeat but thats really about the only positive about the rental experience.By the way, consider the security deposit a donation to Apex. They will likely use it for routine cleaning/painting after you move out (as they did for me despite an in-person walk-through where I was told the apartment looked great).
