I can not say enough good things about the Appel Inn and the owners. They were absolutely amazing and made an elopement (with 1 week notice) into something I couldnt imagine. So much more than I could have ever asked for. If you have any doubts go meet them and take a tour. You will not be disappointed.
Beautiful wedding venue with fabulous food!!
Lovely venue for wedding. Smallish so depends on size of your wedding if they can accomodate. Nice outdoor area with covered roof for ceremony. Indoor reception. Food was decent. They served coffee before the wedding cake was cut and served and this wasnt appropriate. Smallish dance floor. Comfortable with a/c for a hot summer day wedding. Not sure how this window abundant venue would be on a cold winter day. Service was good.

We just hosted our daughters wedding at the Appel Inn this past Saturday. I have to say these owners are very responsive and accommodating. We had a couple special requests that they allowed without hesitation. Every email was answered timely and nerves were calmed. The venue is beautiful, the she shed perfect. The outdoor ceremony site brought our daughters dreams ( outdoor, water church pews) to reality. Our guests raved about the surroundings and how nice, welcoming and caring Evelyn and Gerd were. We received hugs from them and sincere congratulations . Thank you Laurie and Gerd for a perfect event!

Beautiful grounds. Made for a lovely wedding. Would say the adds in the window were a bit out of place, but thats just nit-picking. They did an amazing job with the lighting for the wedding I went to. The wait staff was a bit poor, but maybe they were contracted(?).
Such a beautiful place to get married but the staff was absolutely soooo rude my whole wedding party felt uncomfortable even asking them. A simple question. Telling my kids not to open a door and when they did “oh that will come out of the pay” get over yourselves kids will be kids 😑
Always a great place and good people to work with. Especially last weekend when we had a fender bender right in front of the driveway. All went well and smoothly. I always enjoy attending a wedding there. Professional and Beautiful all the way.Mark Felthousen
RUDE owners and staff. The old man walks around the place drinking booze and policing people, theres no ac, place has zero charm, everything is cheap, landscape is boring and unattended to, not a single flower anywhere, SKIP THIS VENUE. I brought a bottle of liquor to the wedding and the old lady told me she had to confiscate it and followed me to my car to make sure I put it away, I came back in and the staff was gossiping about it- SO RUDE!!!! Every staff member had a terrible attitude. THE PLACE HAS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, DO NOT BOOK ANYTHING HERE.

2022-06-13This place is beautiful but for the price the brides and grooms areas need alot of work. People that own It need to back away from the wedding party and not be rude to the people that are hired to work weddings the poor photographer was treated very poorly. You can have a beautiful place but environment is everything and how you talk to people. Parking is a nightmare. Could do so much better.

2017-10-22Our wedding at The Appel Inn was absolutely beautiful! Our day went better than I had even imagined. This space is so gorgeous, our ceremony looked like a fairy tale. 2021-10-09Would not recommend this venue to anyone unless it is under new ownership. The owner Laurie is very rude and aggressive towards guests. I was part of the wedding and she was rude and disrespectful to the entire wedding party. Very poor business and not a good experience at all. The husband was a very nice guy but was overpowered by Laurie. It’s terrible because it is such a beautiful place

2021-06-28I cannot say enough good things about the Appel Inn and about Laurie who runs it. We had originally been planning our wedding there for 2020 but things were predictably delayed because of the pandemic. Laurie worked with us over the months to reschedule the event for 2021 and was so accommodating every step of the way. We finally had the wedding last weekend and it was everything I could have asked for! Our guests repeatedly commented on how gorgeous the space was. We picked the Appel Inn because we loved the outdoor space and the fire pit. Our guests relaxed in the Adirondack chairs throughout the event, played lawn games and wandered the property, and we had smores at the fire pit after it got dark. The she shed was perfect for getting ready beforehand and the new man shed was perfect too. We couldnt have asked for more!

2021-11-10Will be happy to recommend when under new management. Lovely venue unfortunately spoiled by the owners. They have no problem yelling at you or your guests, while shirking contracted responsibilities.

2021-06-30I had my wedding here this year, multiple contracted things were wrong, like my husband and his best man were made to dress in the hallway when they had a grooms suite, our cake flavors were wrong, the snow removal was unsafe and when my mother asked if they could clear a better path she said “it’s February this is what you get. “These things could have honestly been forgiven if the owner Laurie hadn’t blown up at me, the bride, in front of my mother and bridal party.I would never think that this is a person who has been in the bridal industry for years.These reviews have also been reported as skewed and I would definitely look at their Yelp reviews, the ones listed and “not recommended” because they echo the same sentiments.

2021-10-20Rude, intrusive, demanding, controlling, unprofessional management. Why they choose to host events, Ill never know. They act as if were a burden and intruding, almost as if its a big inconvenience to have us in their space. News flash: were paying for all this. The least you could do is act like youre happy to have us.
