We went here without an appointment and got a phone. There were no as such discount and the store sales guy did not tell us about the corporate discount available, thats bad.Do enquire, if you are from one of the top Software companies or have an ID card, they give you some discount. The store is otherwise busy and could see some people waiting endlessly to get a certain things sorted.Apart from being in WTC did not see anything special.Thanks.
Poor customer service. I’ve place an order for pick up about 7-7:15.My brother is waiting outside since an hour. I didn’t receive my order yet. This is how you treat your customers?? When it is said a particular time to collect how it’s gonna take such a long wait for processing? I have to send the phone to india. It’s an emergency. Very upset with your service
If I could give negative stars, I would. My wallet was stolen out of my coat and went to this store with my stolen credit cards and attempted charges on one card and proceeded to use 2 other cards. I went to Apple to get a print out of the receipt that would have MY NAME on it. I was honest, the sales associate told me he needed managers approval and they wouldnt do it. AMAZING, I cant get a receipt for a purchase in my name on my stolen credit cards, cops already gave subpoena for cameras and they are not cooperating. All I can say is thank goodness I never bought an Apple product in my life! They protect criminals. My coworker also had her wallet stolen, so they aloud 3 attempted charges and 2 actual charges between the both of our stolen cards, happen consecutively. I think 2 denied charges would have been a red flag. They used my debit cards, so getting the charges reversed was a nightmare.
I had to run in to grab a charger and had the absolute pleasure of being helped by Land Grant! Such a friendly and helpful gentleman! Im not going to any other Apple location!!! Quality customer service. Answered all my questions and had options ready for me. I usually shop online for my Apple products but after this experience Im coming back to WTC for all things apple. Definitely a great pick me up on my way home from work!!! I tried to do the survey but got a bad link 😭
I’ve never been to an apple store before and I was so excited to go. I’ve always bragged on apple products. This place was such a let down. I can’t believe the service. I stopped to get a battery replaced for my iPhone and it started great. The lady said it will be an hour. I said no problem. I returned 3hrs later and it wasn’t ready. They said they were running diagnostic which was a lie. Then they finally bring me the phone and said they couldn’t change the battery due to removing the screen, which you don’t touch the screen. It’s so much more stuff that happen with no one wanted to help. People stand around talking to each other instead of helping customers. Always been an apple fan until now. Wish I could give you negative 5 stars.
TLDR: Lost some data. The store is great but better training with the employees is needed for transparent customer service. Had to get a new phone due to water damage. My first phone the associate Rob let me take it home and set up myself but I wasnt exactly happy with the color so I switched to a blue phone the next day. My associate Figs started the purchase and refund process but, during that, without telling me he set up the new phone and he did not once stop to make sure I had everything backed up or wasnt patient enough to do Quick Start (which allows a proper transfer of data.) So I lost text messages and images that had been texted to me. I also lost all my passwords.Have to deal with it but it was 10AM on Monday. There was no reason to rush and do a transfer without making sure the right things would transfer over.
Long story short:I tried to bring my computer in for recall repair for faulty keyboard and battery. They gave me a long term run-around, tried to get me to pay for both modules along with a brand new display that I didnt need due to a tiny crack in the plastic and by claiming false water damage by showing pictures of rusted modules that could be any part from any computer and refusing to open it for me and showing me the inside to see for myself and charging me $1500.I got my computer fixed for $450 at Rossmann Repair Group up on 27th and had confirmed there was no water damage inside. The computer runs great now and I was not swindled into buying damn near a whole new computer just to get a repair done on Apples faulty manufacturing.Great technology. Terrible service.
Went here to get my MBP butterfly keyboard fixed. The employees made sure that the part was available and put it on hold so no time was wasted ordering it. With the part in stock, estimated repair time was 3-5 days. I dropped my computer off 30 mins before closing and received a call back the next morning (10AM) saying it was ready for pickup. That’s a 2 hour turnaround. They also have a lot of appointment availability and the World Trade Center is an enjoyable experience.
Shopping at Apple is such a terrible experience. You have to decide when to pick-up the commodity if you dont want it to be shipped, but the date has to be in two days since the order. Meanwhile, the commoditys availability depends on the stock level in that store *at that moment* (Apple offers free shipping to my home, then why couldnt I ship it to the store and then pick it up...). So if your time is not flexible enough, you really cannot secure a product even if youre willing to pay in advance.Store is not reachable by phone because a kind but useless AI person who never understand my question will block the way to reach a real staff.Really tired. So disappointed with Apple. I am surprise how a profitable company can build this horrible customer experience.
This is primarily a place where you can look at and touch Apples various products and ask questions of the Apple guides that wander around the store. The usual genius bar is notably absent but if you have a question or want to check out or buy one of their products this is a good place to visit if you are in downtown NYC. This was one of the prime spots to go if you pre-order an iPhone or any other newly-launched Apple product.
Similar Apple minimalist design within the Oculus and both compliment well with each other. Service is excellent as always. I came in to swap out my old phone for a new one. Got the credit and had the Apple personnel set my new phone and cleaned the old. Seamless and true to Apple style, I am an Apple fan~ 🍎🙋🏻
Great store. It always seems that there’s space and room here to move about or just speak with a staff member and it does not feel as crowded as others New York Apple stores. It’s located in the Oculus Westfield shopping centre over two floors. It is very accessible and central to the centre and to the subway..
I had the worst experience ever, the employees were super helpful but the stress that I have been put through has no comparison. I purchased something online with a gift card and they canceled my order, the did a refund but it takes more than 3 business days to complete and now I dont have my phone nor my money. Worst customer experience from Apple
Super quick transaction. This Apple Store is set in the most beautiful mall I have visited in a while. It is spread across two floors within the Oculus, World Trade Centre, New York.It is generously sized unlike some in the UK I have used.I had wanted to visit to make a quick purchase of a new pair of inductive charging air pods. I arrived, went straight to a store worker, who sourced me the product, charged me and within literally 60 seconds, I was in and out. Quickest and most efficient purchase ever.I didnt manage to get a picture of a frontage of the store, but did take one of the mall on my way back up to street level.
The store itself is clean w/ abundant staff that are willing to help. I didnt have the best experience though when I asked re: the difference between carrier models (that are $30 cheaper) vs. unlocked ones - the staff unfortunately didnt even know that there were carrier models available and didnt appear to want to inquire her colleagues to address my question.
Went to fix my Macbook Pro screen, booked an appointment through the website, it was smooth, and it’s great to have the option to get your Mac delivered after it‘s fixed, so convenient, but the repair process can be very slow, no matter what is the issue, every product goes in the same long process, they don’t repair anything in store, they have to ship it which takes 4 days to get from the store to the repair facility.
I bought a new phone here and I’m very satisfied with this new phone and my sales. However another female sales - a full figured short black female with long black curly hair keep laughing my language grammar mistake. I’m so sorry English is not my first language. I don’t know what’s wrong with her, she is so rude, unprofessional and impolite. Why apple hire such low quality person to be sales?
Update(March 2022):I visited the Apple Watch section to see the Series 7 watches and the guy there told me not to touch the watches, condescendingly, and to my shocking face asking why?!! He said “you may break it!!”. If they are so bad that I can break them with a simple touch, why should I ever spend my money on such a thing? This was very strange and unprofessional! This branch is definitely getting worse each visit.Update (Feb 16th-2020) :went there yesterday since the issue with my Mac has occurred again, this time, a very rude lady who was, as she claimed, the manager of people there, showed the worst behavior you can imagine! Not only she lacked any kind of sympathy expected of a normal human being let alone someone whose profession supposedly is dealing with people, she was extremely rude and arrogant and at one point, bluntly told me that I have wasted my time going there! Now, this has ruined this branch for me !! too bad.... I wish they at least care about who they choose as the manager of people.***************After dealing with the random shutdown problem with my Mac for around 3 months and visiting 3 different Apple Stores in New Jersey (Menlo Park (4 times) , Bridgewater , Raceway Mall) and coming out of stores each time, feeling more disappointed at Apple Support, I finally made an appointment at this branch and I am very impressed by the quality of services provided here.Calvin went above and beyond to help us out. This was actually the first time at Apple Stores that someone really listened carefully to what the problem was and what we have done so far, took meticulous notes and reviewed the repair process with us in details. Although we had to leave our system there to be repaired, we both left the store, feeling great. Also, we talked with John who helped us in purchasing a new item, he was very helpful, considerate, understanding and above all, very knowledgeable in his area of specialty, which made it a very delightful experience. Overall, I am really happy we visited this Apple Store this time and wish we had done it earlier to avoid all the drama we faced in other stores.
Made a genius bar appointment, was told to wait 15 minutes, ended up waiting nearly an hour before someone finally asked if I needed assistance. They told me my appointment was systematically cancelled, with no other explanation. Terrible customer service system. They clearly need a better way to make sure people are being helped. This company has enough money to figure something out. Theres no excuse that I should have had to wait this long for an AirPod replacement. Thanks for wasting my time.
Purchased a case and watchband on 9/9/21. Case is already messed up and peeling. I tried to submit to apple for a warranty replacement butttt they cant verify I purchased it because the person who checked me out didnt bother to assign it to my apple account. $50 case in the trash, 2 months later. BOO.
Terry, a security team member at this Apple store, was amazing and so kind! I was actually looking for an entirely different store in the Oculus but theres seemingly no one to ask in the gargantuan mall. So of course, I spotted Apple and ran towards the Geniuses there- thinking that Apple knows everything! And indeed, Terry helped me navigate where I was and was so nice. Despite not actually shopping at this Apple store, I am a loyal Apple user- iPhone, laptop, iPads for the family and all else, and am glad to support this helpful company!
I took my 6s plus to them for battery replacement, when technician came to diagnose my iPhone he said your phone has another problem because doesn’t give any sign of life when I tried to connect it with his computer which is motherboard issue and it will cost expensive for me so it doesn’t worth it to repair it so for a best choice it’s to upgrade to another level hhhhh , Apple Store all of them being costumer service or technicians or even cleaners are there for selling their toys nothing else , I got out from there to the the first phone repair store to buy another battery and everything went well just for 50 $ hhh peace!!!!
In my intention to buy iPhone 13 for me and my visiting family, I came in contact with a very rude, blunt, and bossy salesperson, who insisted that my face covering was not enough, and that I should be wearing a mask, even though I always wear the same face covering wherever I go! He was packed up by his colleague who basically asked me to leave the store, since I refused to put on the mask she gave me.I did try to explain that as a Muslim woman, having my ears covered under my hijab, I couldnt put the mask around my ears. But they were only listening to their rigid, bossy, made-up rule!My biggest disappointment is that I approached the salesperson named Jordan, believing wholeheartedly that he was the most helpful person from whom I would buy my new iPhone! Instead, I was insulted and treated badly! The four of us, potential buyers of 4 iPhones, left the store dismayed, until I insisted to try another location. My son found the soho Apple store, where my face covering was not an issue, so, there, we made the purchases. I do recommend the soho location! And really advise everyone not to waste time at the Westfield Apple location, because the vibes are very negative!
Apple Airpods Pros made a loud popping sound and left my ear ringing for hours. After almost a week my hearing on my right side isnt as good as my left. When I brought this up to Apple they said they wouldnt do anything about it and that their products are safe to use.
COVID protocol followed. Prompt service. Have to give a huge shout-out to Andrew Camacho who helped me resolve a carrier issue outside of Apple’s control and stayed with me for 3 hours. He and another employee (Lantz?) ensured I had absolutely NO issues and went above and beyond. Best customer service ever!
If you want to feel discriminated and lied to this is the best place for you. I went a week ago to buy a phone and the agents Chris & Abby are absolutely terrible agents and have the worst customer service that I have ever experienced in ANY retail store. They lack knowledge & human decency and honestly youll receive better customer service buying a $2 burger from McDonald than buying a $1200 phone from this location. I dont know where apple are finding these terrible employees, I thought they were better than this!
What happened to Apple! I’m the 4th time in the store this week and every specialist is telling me something else and can’t help for a simple repair. Sending me back and forth with things I need to do before they can help. Did everything they said and the peek now was the technician hasn’t even checked anything on the computer and just recommended an expensive unnecessary sale. I’m disappointed Apple!
Great costumer service!!I visit the store today because I’m buying a laptop and wanted get information on what could be the best option for me, John took care of me and it was worth visit because he was straight to the point and gave me the details that I need it to know based on what I’m looking for in less than 10 minutes. Definitely recommend this store if you need assistance to fix or getting a new product.
I had a wonderful experience here yesterday, I had no clue you needed an appointment to enter so I initially went to a different apple store but they were fully booked for the day and this one was the closest available, I ended up getting there early and they didn’t make me wait which I was thankful for, the lady who helped me was so nice in helping me choose which Apple Watch I should get, the service was great and fast definitely recommend you shop at this Location.
I did what I was asked to do: have my temperature taken and go wait in the line. I quickly saw all the people behind me being served first, while I was waiting outside in a crowded hallway. I had to ask why all the people who arrived before me were being served first before getting some attention, and even to get some attention was hard as there was a constant coming and going of aggressive people asking for information. I guess it was because my name and my accent are foreign.
Worst visit in an Apple store and Ive been an Apple customer for years with an extensive list of devices and accessories. Went to the store to by an iPhone 12 Pro, after waiting 14 minutes a young attendant came to help me. After informing that I was going to buy an Iphone12 Pro, he started setting up the transaction and I asked the color that they had and he already answered that we were not in that process yet to select colors, while looking to his gadget. I also informed that I was going to order wireless chargers and new iPhone covers including to my iPhone 11, which he also said that he needed to finish first my order about the iPhone. All completed, he informed that we needed to wait to another attendant to bring the phone to the front store area, at that moment, he got his personal phone and started typing a long text or an essay because the attended came, left the phone in front of us, I grabbed the phone box myself, I read all the information on the box and I put it back where it was, while he still texting on his personal phone. After a few minutes, he put his phone back in his pocket and still looking around waiting for the attendant to bring the phone. At that point I was thinking, that it couldnt be happening.... Suddenly I gently asked him if we could finish the transaction and he just said : We need to wait for the attendant to bring the phone in a dry sentence. At that moment, I grabbed the phone that was in front of him and I questioned if that phone was the one that he was waiting for. He just said: Ow, who brought it here? I answered: I dont know , maybe someone who is working and not busy texting while a client wanted to spend $1100 in a product?! The disattention escalated when I gave my Apple Credit card to pay it and he told me that I needed to use my Apple Card on my phone. I just questioned him that I was not sure if my Apple Card was set up in my phone as a default for wireless transaction, I wanted to check if my regular bank account card was the one set up as default and the answer for my question was: I dont understand what are you saying. ... At that moment, I didnt know if he was saying that because in his mind he was still thinking about his personal phone and text that he was so engaged to or if he was talking about my accent. With our without an accent, Im a customer.... Im buying and Im paying . The lack of attention, the cutting corners to answer my questions during all the process was a very bad experience. I cancelled the order. To get a customer service like that in person, I prefer to communicate with computer or robots , at least they will understand me. The Apple Store at World Trade Center is the worst customer service ever. Not shopping at that store never again...
The guy at the main entrance door has no manners. I entered in the store And I was just going to ask him a question. Immediately after he asked me to step back and exit the store so after that I could ask him the question. This isn’t necessary. I left and I could hear him saying have a good day, have a great night, having fun with the situation. I can’t say about The others as this location seems to have great reviews. Unfortunately one bad apple. This happened now 09/29 - 5:50 pm. I absolutely hate writing reviews like this
What could be scarier than coping with the COVID-19 pandemic without the vaccines? My laptop wasnt working properly, and I was near hysteria. I didnt have an appointment, and went straight to the Apple Store. They took my laptop to be repaired, and in one day I got my laptop back. Free of charge! It only needed to have screw replaced. Wow!, what a relief!
“The Genius Bar isnt so genius enough” I brought my iPad for restore and in 2 mins I was told to buy a new one because my iPad Air has lived more than 4yrs. No attempts done to restore or repair it. Then I had to pitch in and show the iPad notifications where it says restore. Again, after 5 mins I am told you buy a new one.I don’t understand Genius Bar is repair shop or sales office!!! Extreme Disappointment
I wanted to buy an iPhone for my daughters birthday. After checking the website to make sure that the store was open and today being the only convenient day for me this week, I get there only to be told its by appointment only. But no appointments left today. I cant even take a lookbat a phone. It would have been nice to know this beforehand, maybe on the Website in bold? Due to Covid, store will open by appointment only. Little smug guy at the door says this is how we do it, shrugs and says have a nice day in a sarcastic tone. Good products, lousy customer service, only care about the money.
I took to this store my relatives who were visiting me from abroad. They bought a high end iPhone 11 Pro and an Apple Watch. The crew was SUPER dedicated, helpful, and patient throughout the process, from issues with international credit card charges to putting together a custom package to settings transfer. Couldnt be more impressed.
Dom is the best! He was able to fix my charging port and tempered glass screen protector in about 10 minutes when other people had told me I would need to replace the entire phone. He was super nice and I could tell he really cared about making this experience as smooth as possible.
Came here for the first time, just to get my front screen replaced. Was passed around four apple members of staff (bear in mind they were just standing around together and didn’t greet us until we approached them), then asked to queue up to “check in”, for them to tell us that the system was completely down, and that there is no ETA on how long it will take. They could’ve just told us from the start that it was down. Honestly had a terrible experience, didn’t feel welcomed one bit apart from the first guy who was helpful (didn’t catch his name)
I’ve been to several Apple stores and this was definitely the least impressive. Junior helped my sister and I with a pickup but was extremely dismissive and when we asked for help with the product he said he couldn’t because they closed in 20 min...but I could take it to 5th if I wanted. When I asked for his name neither him nor Michael wanted to let me know. I then spoke to the manager Ryan who simply informed me he wasn’t present when it happened so he shouldn’t be accountable. When I told him that was poor leadership he shrugged. Good to know they make an effort to keep customers happy. It’s not what is said, it’s HOW it’s said.
This store made my blood boil. Unprofessional and unapologetic about their mistakes. My wife and I went to the store this week. We bought a phone and also got the screen on the old one repaired. The repair costed us $200 however after just 2 days, the screen stopped responding. We went back to get the phone fixed. We were told it will be fixed in a hour and we will receive an email regarding the same. We were accompanied by two toddlers therefore waiting in the store was not an option. We went to a restaurant nearby and waited for the email. After 3+ hours of wait and not having received any email, we went back. We asked around about the phone and were told the phone cannot be fixed. Ummm an email over 3 hours ago would have been nice. To make things worse they didn’t have a replacement phone to offer us and told us to go to another store. At this point I was livid having been in the city with two toddlers for 4+ hrs for no reason. Manager did not care that we were long standing customers of apple and have around 10 apple devices lying at our place. We were told to come back another day to get a replacement phone and today when my wife went, they wanted to charge her for it. Nuts!!!!I am writing this knowing fully well none of this matters to the company. But it had to be mentioned.
I placed an order online for iPhone 12 Pro and pick up was today between 7:15-7:30PM. I drove from Jersey and guess what? Store was closed.. I called and they said - oops we are sorry, seems like they closed earlier today. That it just so irresponsible from such company like Apple. Rep did nothing to help, just said something that they trained to say - “I understand BUT...” . I wish I could rate you 0 star for this mess up.
Last night I stopped by WTC store. I was greeted and signed in for an appointment right away. Julio, helped and he was fantastic. He took his time to help me. He also made the time very comfortable by engaging me in different topics, from educating me on your tech to learning and sharing about life experiences. Overall, amazing job done by Julio!!
Five stars but I wish I could give separate reviews. One star would be for the two people I asked for help and specified what I needed yet they had me wait for one hour at the wrong floor.Five stars because John was super nice, patient, gave me all the information I needed, tried everything to activate my phone at once but I had to take it to a boost mobile store to swap number into the new phone. I was able to do a trade in and got a new iphone for $300 vs what I wouldve paid ($600 anywhere else) awesome deal! It was all so fast too 10min with John and was done.
The customer service at this location truly sucks! I had a rep who constantly kept telling me she is here to help me with an attitude! She kept cutting me off when I was trying to explain what was going on with my phone. I sat there for 3 hours for them to tell me cant fit phone. They forgot about my friend that checked kn the same time I checked in. I will never go back to this location and already spoke with Apple customer service who actually took the time to understand my concerns and sending me a new phone. Save your time and go to another location.
03/04/2020I bought a MacBook Air charger on 03/03/2020 for $86.01 come to find out I didn’t need it so I tried to return the charger. Therefore, I walked up to Gabriel and he asked for the receipt for return which, I did not have due to the fact that I misspelled my email on the Apple deceive after purchasing the item. Then he asked if I had the debit card I used to pay for the item which I did not have either because same day I lost it and had a temp debit card 🤦🏾♂️. He asked Aaron his supervisor to come over and assist. Aaron simply went to the back and verified everything. I then got my money back. I appreciate their professionalism and the way they handle the situation. thanks guys! I love that store
I was very impressed by the service of the person who greeted me and took my info (I forgot his name!) and by Eric who quickly, competently, and courteously took care of my transaction at this Apple location today when I came by to replace an accessory to my iphone. I was also pleased to find out that since it was within the year of buying the phone, the accessory would be replaced free of charge. It is unusual to find such stellar customer service.
I bought an iphone XR from this Apple store. I asked if it would work in France because I was moving to France. The seller assured me it would work and not to worry. I got in France and it doesnt work, I read about it online and learned that American phones are blocked here in France, I feel scammed. Of all businesses, I expected Apple to be an honest one, guess not. Dont expect to meet honest sellers at this Apple store. I lost a lot of money because of this.
I came to America 2015 DecemberPhones I bought from Apple in four yearsApple 6 , 6s , 7 , (7plus *2) , 8plus , iPhone X , (11 pro max * 2) , MacBook Air , IPad 7 , iPad 10.9 , Apple Watch 5 series 44mmAlmost I spent $15000 :(Only once was my watch glass broken and you didnt change it !! I am very upset for this, I will start using Samsung as soon as possible, there is no difference between Samsung and Apple anyway, Samsung produces all the screens, sorry but I leave you and I will recommend all my friends to buy Samsung
On December 21 5:20pm I and two Caucasian friends where going to meet at the Apple Store I was going to purchase my daughters Christmas gift when I got to the front of the store a stated what I was interested in they denied me entry stating that they are not accepting appointments for purchasing I Phone 12 15 minutes later my 2 friends who where not there to buy anything called me and one of them bought a new I Phone 12 and they meet up inside the store what’s going on at the World Trade Center
Probably one of the best Apple stores in the city. You avoid all the crowd and confusion of the fifth av and soho locations. I went to their genius bar on a Sunday afternoon and the place wasnt crowded at all, the service was fast and efficient as it should be. At other locations, you need a miracle to be able to talk to one of the apple people!
I never had a bad experience in an Apple store until now.Rude, unhelpful and frustrating staff.Insisted on explaining how foreign insurance works in enormous detail, but without any useful information. Most of which turned out to be wrong.Claimed setup would be quick, which is impossible on the pathetically slow WiFi. Which they also knew. We were in a rush, which made this doubly frustrating.Very disappointing.
I have been here couple occasions for different devices. Once, I came in without an appointment and even when they are busy, they are willing to help. I ended up getting help from Dickie twice within these visits and OML the sweetest, funniest human being on Earth! Thank you for being so kind!!
Extremely rude all personal, they even care if you buying customer or not! Went to pick up my new iphone 12 pro max came 10 minutes early for my schedule time, they told me they dont have anyone to help me, while i count 13 people just hanging around and chatting. Finally picked up phone, no one offer to help to set it up for me. Ask for a bag to carry it, they say you have to pay for it!? What? I just bought 1400 dollar iphone and you telling me i need to buy a bag? I never heard of such a thing. What a disgrace. 0 stars for service, people who work there just dont care about you!!
Had a little issue with a replacement i got from them when came back rep looked at the notes and told me since i called support i have to deal with them at the same time support called back for follow up so i stepped a side while still at the store . 5 min later rep told me he called phone support and they confirmed i have to go thru them . Well buddy terrible lier i was at the store and seen you not doing nothing. Good looking out for customers Apple .If possible avoid location many other with great people working there but definitely not this one .
I felt nothing uncomfortable and sense of being ignored there. Apple is trying to serve each customer well no matter how far he goes in society. The faculty there keep all warmhearted and considerate every time of my visit. I made a somehow tricky task for them by trade in first and exchange afterwards. They dealt with everything maturely and seriously. Although it has some imperfections during my purchase, their facultys attitude cannot be more perfect. Because I visited there so frequently and expressing sorry for the mistake, they even gave a new screen protector for free. Great job!
There was a bit of wait, I was early to my appointment by like 2 hours and was seen one hour before my appointment which is fair. I got all my questions answered and then some. My iphones front camera was not working with faceID and it turned out that I needed a whole new iPhone which they provided. Very enjoyable experience overall.
These guys really took good care of me. I had an iPhone 7 that had gone bad after it went out of warranty, and they were honest and repaired it for free when they knew that there was some sort of problem with that model. I can’t minimize how helpful and nice to people in the store are and how positive my experience with Apple was due to this experience. Thank you very much apple, you exceeded my expectations.
Terrible service, i got the pick up just my new iphone 12 pro max.Service staff is very rude and not friendly. When ask about if they could give as bag to carry new iphone they told you have to pay for apple bag!!?? Thats is crazy. I just bought 1500$ iphone and you cant give me a free bag? 0 stars
Helpful and happy tech guys! The walk-in wait was less than I expected. Tom was so helpful in fixing my phone and also happily answered my other tech questions. Stephen was nice and knowledgeable as well. They make you want to spend the afternoon together! Thanks so much for a great experience!
Went to fix my phone the same day w/o calling ahead of time to schedule an appointment... overall it was great experience I was able to make an appointment on spot and I did not have to wait no longer than 5 mins for a technician to assist me & trust me it was packed in there... to my astonishment, my visit there was pretty fast 😱in comparison to other apple store locations where I’ve made an a appointment prior to my visit & had a 20+ min wait to be serviced... the plus part was while I waited for my phone to be fixed I went ahead and did a little shopping came back and my new phone was ready... I was literally in & out🙌☺️
Exceptional service. Friendly staff, even as I was admittedly being difficult. I was quickly accepted for a walk-in, and even though I was given a 20 min wait time someone saw me immediately. They took my phone, sympathized with my unrelated frustrations from earlier in the day with my cellphone provider, and made me laugh. After they took my phone I popped down to apologize to the reservationist, and he was incredibly understanding. I returned in an hour to find my phone completed as promised.
Shout out to the awesome technicians at this store. I stopped in after work with a phone that wouldnt charge, and was helped within moments, and the problem fixed within minutes. Because this place is on my way to and from work, Ive gone in before, and every time the people are friendly and helpful. Great experiences all around!
The best customer service that I had in NYC apple stores. I have visited different location, but found that I liked this location more, only because of the customer service. If you are looking for a better decorated apple store in NYC then you should check out one at 5th ave ( close to Central Park)
The staff in the store must have too much stress, so much that they become very arrogant and disrespectful. I was returning a gift from a friend for store credit as I already had the item. A young guy processed my request while talking to one of his colleagues. It turned out that he put the credit back to my friend’s credit card account! In the process to correct his mistake, he talked to a guy likely to be his supervisor, and they came back to me and asked me to ask my friend to send me a gift card! I wanted to laugh at the mistake though it would be embarrassing to explain to my friend. Now the drama came - the guy’s supervisor started to accuse me of not telling the young guy the fact that the item was a gift and that I did not listen carefully what the guy was asking me! As I tried to understand what he was implying, he started also to accuse me of my voice to be too loud and threatened not to help me... lol ... I was not sure what he meant by “helping” as the only suggestion they gave was to ask my friend to “regift” me! Maybe I should have whispered in a store full of people?! At that moment I decided to leave the store and never go back there again. I know this review won’t change the fact that the store is a popular one due to its location, but I hope people can learn something from my experience.
I had a terrible experience here. Dropped my phone and it wouldn’t turn on so I spoke with a “genius” at apple to find out if they could fix it. After spending about 15 minutes diagnosing my phone, they told me that it’s irreparably broken and I’d have to buy a new phone. ($400).Something about that didn’t sit right so I took it to a cell phone repair shop. They told me the phone just needed the screen replaced. The repair shop only charged me $80 and guess what?? my phone turns on now and works perfectly. Is Apple incompetent, or just straight up dishonest? Makes you wonder.
I never had a bad experience in an Apple store until now.Rude, unhelpful and frustrating personal staff .I bought an iPhone 12 about Max for $1,300 and I didnt even get the BAG !! Im just shocked!! I came by subway from New Jersey to Apple in WORLD TRADE CENTER for to get my new phone! And carried the phone back in my hands !! Without a Regular BAG !! It was the worst experience in the Apple store, I dont think Ill ever go back to the apple store again!!
Thanks for the specialist who helped me buy my Apple TV! It was time to upgrade my Apple TV and whoever helped me was kind enough to walk and talk me through all the new features. I didnt even ask - he just talked me through it immediately after I mentioned I wanted to get an Apple TV, so now Im ultra excited to try out my new Apple TV with all the new cool features..keep up this awesome service Apple 👍
Ive had mixed service here so it depends who you get. Some of the staff very quickly got us what we needed and rung us up quickly. However Ive also been there late in the evening and despite a lot of staff standing around, they just chatted with each other and it took a while to be helped. When I was helped, it took almost ten minutes to get an iPad and get rung up, even though I had no questions.
Incredible Customer Service. My IPhone X had a dead pixel in the screen and was in need of a repair under warranty. Made a appointment with the Genius Bar, they looked over my phone for a few seconds and immediately sent it for an on-site screen replacement repair. Got the phone back an hour and a half later, after walking around and shopping the mall. Really friendly staff and gorgeous setup inside the store. Would highly recommend for anyone buying, or needing a repair on an Apple product.
Scheduled an appointment to have my phone battery replaced and had an overall great experience! I was immediately greeted by a knowledgeable tech/staff for my issue and not only was the replacement free, but it was done very quickly (within an hour) AND they also replaced my screen for free (although, I didn’t know anything was wrong with it to begin with).Regardless of the real reason my screen was replaced (it’s ok Apple if you broke it during repair) the experience was pleasant and flawless.I do recommend scheduling an appointment in advance!
I stopped there when I realized I had forgotten my Apple Watch cord to the Arctic. The young man who assisted me was very helpful, even trying to find out if the purchase qualified for a corporate discount. Apple stores are not all the same. It’s the people and the location that make them different. If you find yourself in the Battery Park or Wall St area this is a great store to visit.
Service and timing were good, didnt have to wait too long, but I was there at 9 am. I was disappointed that after asking they didnt give me the foam bag they used to bring out my phone after repairing it because they recycle it. When I bought the phone it was over $700 and in that visit I paid over $80 to have it repaired and they wouldnt give me a bag that must cost less than $1.
This is the best Apple Store Ive ever been to. The staff is very knowledgeable. Unfortunately you dont get that at a lot of Apple Stores. After having an issue w/ my MacBook Air, I went into this location & had the best customer service experience w/ Nick & Kyle. Great guys! Great store!
I walked into this store having never been to an Apple location before (only ever bought online). Let me tell you, Apple will NEVER get another penny of my money. I entered the store with my 4 month old baby and was ignored by every single employee. Too bad for them, I was planning on buying 2 Apple watches and a lap top today. I guarantee if I had walked in without a stroller, I would have been greeted. I watched several customers behind me get helped immediately with smiles. Unacceptable Apple. Absolutely unacceptable.
Very disappointed tonight ,Arrived approximately 8:30 to the store , was browsing and looking at different iPads and accessories , during my whole time there I was not approached once if I needed assistance until after 9 o’clock , when I mentioned I was looking to purchase an iPad I was invited to come back the next day.Had I been approached earlier by an employee rather than 45 minutes after arriving I’d have made a purchase. Disappointed in the employees and the customer service.
Superb service! Went into store just to look around while visiting NYC, ended up replacing both my husband & I iPhones all because the customer service rep Elijah was extremely professional, friendly & knows the Apple products. Customer service is the key to success of any store, as consumers we buy from people we like.
No coordination between staff. Unpleasant to say the least. Was not informed about the product or any of my questions were answered. Manager on the upper level was really rude, when I asked excuse me need your help. No one even bothered to come and ask what i needed.Sales person didnt know the difference between Iphone XR and Iphone 8 plus. I ended up getting what I didnt want, had to return my phone to get another one next day from other store(Way better experience)Extremely dissatisfied with the service. Didnt expect this from Apple store. Will not return to this store again.
They’re super slow. Made me wait for ages to replace a broken $9 adapter, and when I finally got helped, they didn’t have it in stock. Maybe they could have checked before making me sit there? Had to come back again and wait again. Then they wouldn’t give me the replacement because I didn’t have the broken adapter with me (no one said I needed it). In the end I was just so frustrated that I just bought a new one on Amazon, which was cheaper than in the Apple store. So not worth the bother.
New Apple Store. Great service here.Because this store is relatively new there are much shorter wait times for appointments. This store has 2 floors. Check out both floors. While you are there check out the oculus building it’s in. It’s huge beautiful & iconic. Cost $4 billion to built.
Incredible location because of the fantastic architecture of the Oculus. You’ll be thankful for views that hopefully will distract you from the horrific crowds and soul crushing wait times.Distract, temper your mind scanning the bazaar; bear witness to the rapid deterioration of once a special and unique retail experience Apple has willing cannibalized because of its own monstrous success.
They wiped my hard drive when they told me that only the USB port needed to be replaced. Could not back it up because the only port on the computer was broken. They assured me that the hard drive wouldnt be wiped but did so anyway. Ive been an apple customer for over a decade, but I guess I will never buy an Apple product again.
The first Apple Store in the US featuring an alternative design, this store was opened in August 2016. Friendly staff and very good overall impression (we also got the chance to try and wear as many watch bands as we liked, and the staff was really kind and patient). Would definitely recommend it.
I was there to have the screen of an iPhone repaired for a friend. I was doing her the favor of dropping the phone off but when I was told that the phone would be ready in an hour I figured Id stay at the location and wait. When I went to pick the phone up, it was given to me everything was fine, I paid the fee. I go back to meet up with my friend and she says this is not my phone; so Im a little upset. I go to the back to these iPhone store and explain to them that they gave me the wrong phone and they waive the entire $162 screen repair fee to make up for their mistake. The Apple Store is awesome in my books; thats exactly what you should do when you make a mistake like that. Awesome customer service.
WORST retail experience!! I have been a loyal Apple customer since 1990 - I came into the store wanting to buy a computer. Had a few specific questions which werent answered. Instead I was told about things I hadnt asked about. Salesperson then proceeded to argue with me and tell me that I was questioning his integrity as a man. I kid you not! When I tried to speak to a manager, she was preoccupied with other things and was equally short tempered and stormed away. All this for the pleasure of spending $1,500 of my money! Yes, Im a fool. But no more. Enough!
I came here to replace battery for my iphone6 and my iPhone is now not working properly. I can not hear voice call although the other end hears fine.Since the battery inside was a 3rd party battery, they did not change it. Fine. They explained it to me before I left my phone with them and I did not remember my iPhone 6 had non-Apple battery. When they opened my phone, they must have done so too quickly that the cables for camera, speaker, and sensors, were damaged, costing me $75 to repair! I found this out by taking my phone to a local repair person. I have a flight to make today and did not have time to go back in a long line at this apple store.Folks, Apple technicians are not always reliable! They make mistakes. Make sure your precious devices are treated nicely and everything works as supposed to! Don’t waste time and money like I did today with Apple store.
Samsung may come up with nice new products but they can never match Apple service. Every time I have a problem these guys always able to help me in a matter of few minutes. I dont have to call anyone, I dont have to argue with anyone, I dont have to prove anything. Its amazing; my loyalty belongs to Apple.
Lousy customer service. I was running a few minutes late. Apparently they cancel your appointment promptly if you’re late. I arrived just two minutes after the cutoff and they refused to honor my appointment — said I would have to wait at least two hours to speak to someone. What a joke — two minutes late, so you have to wait two hours! They seem to take a sadistic pride here in being jerks. I left and went somewhere else where they actually respect customers’ time.
Where Apple really shines is in the customer service. Come to this location and be greeted by one of dozens of technicians. Are there be for a simple question or an actual technical problem the staff here is very very friendly the layout is really nice and youre welcome to touch and play with any of the items to have on display.
Its a good place for all apple products. Showroom have two floors. Anything of apple products you will get here. Staff is quite helpful. Will address all the queries and brief you about the product and help to select the best one. Must go of you want buy latest apple products.
I have had really good experiences with Apple in the past. Sadly, I have had bad experiences twice in two days at this location. Since I put iOS 10 on my phone, my battery has been draining quickly and not recharging. I brought it in yesterday to be evaluated. Its a fairly new SE( July). My phone was dead so I could not leave the Apple Store after checking in . I was told it would be a fifteen minute wait. It turned into a thirty minute wait. As we begin, I notice that the time estimate on the diagnostic tool says 25 minutes. I ask the sales associate to watch my phone as she is helping someone else the next seat over and I need to visit the ladies room. She refuses , to my dismay as I had already been there close to a full hour. Customer service at that visit, I would say, needs work. Imagine my horror when I am on the Ferry heading home and my battery dies. The screen goes black and refuses to charge. I get home and quickly call the manager to let her know how upset I am. She is nice but the only solution is to go back to the same store.I get a different managers assistance today. The diagnosis is that my software is buggy .This is after I am in the store almost an hour and a half. For the second day in a row. They are finally kind enough to replace my phone. But it takes another hour. While the lady helping me was really nice, the whole experience was so bad I am about to switch to Android. I have had 6 iPhones to date and visits to many Apple stores and none have been this disorganized and chaotic. I gave it one more chance as my associate was really trying to do the right thing. But it should not have been this hard.
Picture this, you just paid $3000 for a laptop and it comes without a bag (all that for patented apple bag). The rep said the store ran out of bags which is fine. But when i said i dont think i feel comfortable/safe walking around with a $3000 computer openly like that. The rep tells me Just return the computer and come back later. May be they were annoyed by all the people asking for bags when they just couldnt do anything about it. But I would have been happier with any other response.
Daughter took her laptop to have battery changed. An employee ran a diagnostic that caused the laptop to overheat leaving a defect (yellow spot) on the lcd screen. It was closing time and the employee told her to leave and reproduce the spot on her screen and take a picture and return to the store for help. Upon returning, the employees and 2 managers denied any responsibility and told her that it couldnt have been their fault and that she couldnt prove otherwise, basically calling her a liar. The original employee that was attempting to help previously would not come out of the back of the store even after she asked no less than 10 times to see him. Battery was never changed and they did absolutely nothing to help fix the damage they caused. What a shame to trust people who are hired and paid to help and do nothing and accept no responsibility when they themselves caused damage to an expensive piece of equipment, then tell you that it will cost more to fix than the item is worth and that you cannot prove they did anything wrong. Sadly, Im sure they sleep well at night. In my opinion, Apple needs to take a strong look at management in this location. You dont get far in life by calling people liars that come to you for help!
The service provided by the lady in this store with short and blond hair, and glasses, in her 40s, is the worst service I ever got from an Apple staff. If you ever go to this stor, run away from her. She definitely shouldnt be working at Apple Store because I know that her behavior does not reflect the Apple standards. Im an heavy Apple user that purchased more than 15 devices in the past 10 years in Apple Stores around the globe, like Dubai, Brazil, Beijing, Paris, California, NYC, among others that I visited. Im not sure if she was on a bad day, but the way she treated me was totally unprofessional, and if I wasnt a customer that really enjoy the Apple products, Id have run away from the brand forever just because of this attendant. I entered the store at 5:55pm on Jan 1st, and she immediately approached me saying that the store was closing (they closed at 6pm on that day). I asked if I was still on time to buy an iPhone and she replied with a tiring face saying that if I was fast enough, she could take my order. I then asked straight for an iPhone 8 (it was a gift for my GF) and she told me to wait so her colleague could bring the phone to the table. It was 6:01 when the phone arrived and she refused to proceed with my order because it was 6:01. I entered the store at 5:55, asked for the phone immediately at 5:57, she took my order, and when the phone arrived she simply refused to sell me because it was more than 6pm and according to her, she couldnt sell it anymore. If thats a real rule from Apple, or if she was just mad for being work on January 1st, I really dont know. But the worst part is the way she handeled the situation and treated me very very rude. I asked to talk to the manager, but she even refused to take me to the manager and turn her back to me. If someone from Apple ever see this message, please be cautious: you have an unprofessional attendant that doesnt love Apple products and definitely shouldnt be working with you.
Went to purchase a watch and received very little assistance, even though the store was packed with employees. I saw 2-3 staff assisting one customer while others were waiting around with no assistance. I had already visited the Apple store in Williamsburg where the staff was very helpfu in addition to doing my research online so I knew exactly what I wanted. If I hadn’t already done my research I would have walked out without purchasing # poor customer service.
The tech changed his tone with my son. I told we are not going to do that, not while I am standing here. He kept pulling on his hair, shedding all over the place. I told him bye. Pple nowadays really be on 1. I hate going outside on my days off. Word to the wise, if you get Frank as your tech, ask for someone else. He has attitude and hair issues. My first and last time in a Apple store. The worst.............1 star isnt low enough
Customer service and technical proficiency at World Trade Center - Apple Store is horrible! In May 2017, I took my iPhone 6 to this store to change its battery. They broke something inside the phone while they were trying to change the battery and gave me a supposedly new iPhone 6. However, they failed to activate the phone and irresponsibly and with a bad attitude they asked me to activate the phone at Sprint stores. Also, they notified me that they could not retrieve my data through the process. As a result, I lost many of my sentimental pictures, data, apps, and etc. I almost lost two days of work through the process to activate my phone, download my apps, and other adjustments.5 months after this incident, my supposedly new iPhone 6 died (screen became non-responsive). Reluctantly, I took the phone back to the same store to repair it. Shockingly, they said the phone is not repairable and asked for $299 to replace the phone. Also, they mentioned that they could not backup my data. I cannot comprehend how a new phone cannot last longer than 5 months and how I got from a simple battery issue to such a tragedy. Basically, I would be better off with a bad battery. It was a big mistake to step into this store! I brought the issue to the managers attention but he was like a cold and non-helpful person who did not want to consider my lost and the two traumas that I have been through in that store.Desperately, I purchased an iPhone 8+ from the store but I cannot get over what happened to me and how I was treated. I am seriously thinking of switching to Android and I am going to encourage everyone to do so. I feel that a multi-billion dollar company should be more responsible for its products deficiencies; costumers should not be victim of the companys greed and pay for the flaws and deficiencies of the products. Why a new phone does not last longer tan 5 months? Why this matter is not a concern to the store, company, and its policy makers???
The worst customer experience I have with apple. The staff lack training both in their products and basic customer service skills. The manager was just as poorly trained. The failures are too many too list. I like Apple products but after this experience I am seriously considering alternatives for the first time in a long time.
Inconsistent Response. Frustrating Back and Forth. Incompetent Repair Technician.3 months ago:I had my iPhone 5s screen replaced at this store a little under three months ago. The reason I spent $200+ on that screen was that it is backed by Apples warranty. Turns out you really have to prove your case to the Genius Bar associates to get a replacement/ repair.Day at Apple Store: Time Elapsed 10 minutesSo I took the phone to the WTC Apple Store to report an issue with the screen which the Apple Associate-A detected promptly. She ran a diagnostic test and caught the issue. Said that she would replace the device. Comes back and says that Supervisor B instructed that we can replace the screen again instead of replacing the device. If the new screen also fails the diagnostic test, we will replace the device for you.I said okay. Waited for 1.5 hours.Time Elapsed: 1.5 hoursAssociate C comes with the new screen, says it is good to go. I asked him specifically - was the multifunction display diagnostic run on this new screen? He says, well all my notes say is that this is good to go! So be assured you can take this phone home now.Time Elapsed: 2 hoursI insisted that the diagnostic test be run in front of me. Associate D comes and runs the diagnostic. Guess what, the new screen failed the diagnostic test! Associate D says, well lets get you a replacement device.Associate D talks to Supervisor E. Sorry, well have to run the diagnostic again. Sometimes the multifunction display accuracy test can be fuzzy. Lets run the test again. I said sure. Ran the diagnostic test two more times and FAILED. She says, Supervisor E told me that the diagnostic test is very sensitive/ fuzzy and it can fail often. You can take this phone and you are good to go.Time Elapsed: 2 hours 15 minutesI lost it by then. Are you telling me that Apple has put in a diagnostic test that has no relevance? The new screen is consistently failing the accuracy test and you are saying that I am good to go? What I was told earlier by Associate A was that after the new screen has been installed youll run the test. If the test fails, youll replace the device. So Associate D, please do not BS me. I am NOT LEAVING until you address the problem with the new screen on my iPhone.Time Elapsed: 3 hoursAssociate F comes along with Associate D and says that I heard your conversation. We will go ahead and replace the device.Took another 15 - 20 minutes for them to do it. Finally, I was out of the Apple Store in about 3 hours. I felt cheated by Apple. Their responses were inconsistent and illogical. I had to really stick to my ground to get my problem addressed. I would have given this review just ONE STAR, but Apple Associate F stepped in and did the RIGHT THING, so for that I give it another star.
I brought my phone in for a cracked screen & I have apple care. After 2 hours of waiting the phone was wiped to factory reset and I was told they didnt have time to assist with restoring it. I would have to make another appointment. Not quite genius wiping phone over a cracked screen. Not even decent service.
This place is great. Brand new, so its definitely a looker. Haha. The service is like any other apple stores service. This one is definitely convenient. Everytime I pass by theres always a good crowd and is constantly moving. No long lines. I would definitely make appointments here as alot of the other apple stores are consumed with lines and crazy people lol. Great location.
You shouldnt buy Apple products. Theyre way too expensive and fragile and impossible to repair or recycle. Please consider the life cycle of the electronics you purchase. Try to buy things that are designed to be repaired and upgraded. Apple actively fights initiatives called right to repair that encourage manufacturers to build in ways that allow third party repair.
I came to the store to pick up a Band for Apple Watch. I came to buy it a week ago but it was not in stock and one of the employees helped me to order it online so I would be able to pick it up next week. When I came today (4/3/2018 1pm) to pick it up the second floors manager wasnt very nice. He and one of his colleges wasnt able to give me the band despite the fact that they were in stock, because my order Is not ready yet. They were repeating the same information over and over again, that I had to be back later the same day to pick up the item that was, literally, laying on the shelf. Im very upset with my experience and I will avoid going to WTC’s Apple Store form now own.
My MacBook Pro had a « memory problem » and wouldn’t turn on. They wanted to charge me $475 to fix it and told me that it was impossible to recover my data, that there was nothing else they or I could do. I asked my husband that works in IT to take a look at it before paying anything and loosing my data. He fixed my Mac and saved everything in an hour.I wouldn’t recommend this place which wants to steal your money. Always ask another specialist (not from an apple store) before making any decision.
Who designed this place. There are no signs on the ceiling directing people where to go. There are no name tags on the employees directing who will be helping you. There is no desk or checkout area to purchase an item.Mind you this is all after getting to this location is wildly difficult. Apple Store signs? Noope
This Apple Store is Rotten! Some months ago, while I was on the phone, that nagging alert that I’d been ignoring popped up on my iMac’s screen. I was distracted and regrettably clicked ok to have Mojave installed on my computer. It started the install which apparently meant corrupting my hard drive so that it was no longer bootable. >8( I called tech support every night asking for guidance on repairing my system. I didn’t know what the problem was, only that I’d clicked to have the OS installed and now it wouldn’t start up, just start to boot and then fail. All of the Mac phone support proceeded to waste my time proposing things that didn’t make sense or didn’t help. Eventually they said I had to take it in to a store. I made the appointment and took a cab to the WTC carrying my imac and met with the swindler, I mean “genius”.He talked to me for awhile about what was going on while running a scan on my iMac. I told him the computer was messed up because of trying to install the updated OS. He said the scan showed that my hard-drive had bad blocks and that the bad blocks were there the whole time and that the update revealed the faulty and out of warranty bad black filled hard-drive. I told him that my computer was functioning and running all of the software fine, so I would have been happy to have these minor bad blocks with a functioning computer since it was no different than any other computer! If he was saying that I’d had these bad-blocks for awhile, then clearly that was fine since my computer had been running fine. He wanted me to pay to have them recover my data but I insisted that nothing was wrong with my hard-drive, the OS install ruined my ability to use the computer! Essentially, he wanted me to give them more money, while insisted that their OS corrupted my files, destroyed the previous OS and has wasted hours and hours of my time!On a whim, I remembered that he’d mentioned extra memory, and I asked him to take out the 3rd party memory stick that I’d installed awhile back. He did and ran the scan again, continuing to tell me how wrong I am. Then he started saying something about things being fine. He didn’t tell me that the scan showed that THERE WERE NO BAD BLOCKS in my hard-drive and that apple didn’t play nice with 3rd party (OWC RAM memory sticks). I started asking and eventually realized that without the extra RAM installed the scan showed the machine was fine. He then, still wanting to take more of my money without helping me, had me buy a cable so that I could connect my iMac to my Powerbook in targeted disk mode to copy all of my contents off onto another hard-drive.Wow! I’m sooo done with Apple! I had an Apple IIc, then an Apple IIGs, then a MacSE, then the graphite Mac tower, then Mac books, I’ve had employers buy the trashcan iMacs for my video editing, along with iPads, and iPhones and iPods over the years. But the Apple I remember is no more, now they’re not responsible for their faulty OS’s, bad tech support, or any other short comings. They do a shoddy job and transfer all of the hassle onto the customer! So, I need a new watch, I’m going with Fitbit! Every chance that I get, I will now avoid buying more Apple products!I’m left having to go folder by folder and copy files individually to an external drive, many of my files seem corrupted and when I try to copy folders to my external drive I get a -36 error. I then have to go file by file and leave the corrupted files behind. Not sure when I’ll finish getting all of the files that weren’t corrupted off of the computer. Also. I don’t know why they won’t copy when some of them will still open. So, even when I finish copying what I can, I don’t want to wipe the hard drive to re-install an OS and destroy the remaining files! So, I just keep looking at this massive paperweight on my desk!Lesson, don’t sink any more money into Apple’s products especially if they’re no longer going to provide proper support and destroy your files when you use a non-apple product.
Came in with my girlfriend to pickup an Apple watch I ordered online. We approach Sally and she basically took us under her wing. She gave us a tour of the facility and sat down to explain how to set up and operate the apple watch. MIND YOU SHES WALKING ON A BOOT! Apple you need more dedicated employees like her !
I traded in my iPhone XR for a new one. The associate wouldn’t give my the full trade which is $300 in value. Instead, he gave me a trade in value of $120. He told me the phone had a crack on top of it. My phone had a small tiny line. You can’t even tell see the crack or tell the phone has a crack in it.
When my under warranty phone broke, I couldnt make an appointment until the next day, however, when I stopped by at the store without an appointment things were taken care of without a hunch. After a 10 min wait, an associate (Dominic) inspected the phone and took it in for repair - plus 10 min. I was back in 2 hours to pick up newly repaired phone at no charge. Thank you!
My iphone 6s was on recall for battery change. First they run test and tried to tell me that I dont need new battery, but I told them that my phone dies from 100% to 10% outside in my packet during winter season in 20 minutes. Guy said that this is normal, so basically they promised new battery when I scheduled appointment but then they try to convince you that you dont need it. Finally he ask me what I want to do I asked for new battery so he said ok. Wow. He said its will take from 11-12pm so I was waiting in store, but it took them 85 minutes total.
The building is spectacular, and of course the staff is great... However their infrastructure is clearly part of Apple’s vendetta against user experience. This place is designed to give you an anxiety attack. DO NOT COME HERE if you are prone to anxiety. That said, who’s idea is it to make it impossible to know how to get help. I have better luck getting assistance at a random aisle at a Target in Brooklyn. I do not know what the proper procedure to get assistance is, but here’s how I did it. First I stood in the doorway for five minutes hoping to be noticed. Then I tried looking at stuff but that’s not easy to gain eye-contact with an employee (I’m honestly angry this is the only way to get help...) then, since that is a bad solution, I chose to sit on an iPad. I don’t think they noticed that, but apparently I sat in front of a cash register, so that worked. Anyway I was pissed and the anxiety was not making me less polite, so I made it a point to tell the poor employee how Apple was once the most innovative company in UX design and yet they’ve been undermining all I’ve their great work for the past 10 years (everything since 10.6.8 and iOS 7 has been a convoluted and incremental attempt to replace ease-of-use and usability with under-thought highly intrusive “features”. And they’ve almost regressed to the level of XP’s constant annoyance and general incompetence at being an efficient work machine.) Anyway apparently this anti-user experience experiment of theirs is now in place confusing customers at Apple stores across the country.

2022-01-27One Apple store is not like another, wait never mind, they’re all stylized exactly the same way. As cookie-cutter as they are to each other, this Apple store in the Oculus at the new World Trade Center within Lower Manhattan stands out to be exceptional.I went in for an iCloud problem that got a little trickier than we all wanted but they were very helpful throughout the whole process.Chris was on the last day of his training but he seemed to know everything. He was assigned to me when I went in for a service and I couldn’t be happier with his help. Everything was quick and speedy and highly informational. I’m happy I went into this location, and you will be as well!

2021-11-22The biggest Apple store I’ve visited. Service was exceptional. The store staff explained about Apple watches very well and even reminded me that the apple watch package doesn’t include a charger.

2022-03-07I came in looking to upgrade to a new iPhone. One of the team members: Reggy, was probably one of Apples best employees. He was very knowledgeable, patient, professional and proactive with assisting me with this upgrade. I also appreciated his genuine personality and approach towards me. He made my experience here feel so warm and welcoming in comparison to other Apple stores I visited. Apple is so lucky to have him as an employee and future customers will appreciate him as much as I did. Thanks again Reggy!

2022-05-31They have one job and its to service customers. I showed up 1 hour early for my Genius Bar appointment, checking in every 20 mins to make sure they are aware I’m availableNow they have “lost my appointment” and I need to be added back into the queue because an Apple Store tech marked me as completed, after I’ve been here at the store for 90 mins later.Really not sure how they can botch this up but just frustrated overall at how hard it is to get an iPhone serviced

2022-04-05Phenomenal Apple store. Very beautifully laid out with their specific feature of a bottom floor being for purchases specifically. Makes browsing much easier in my opinion. Also they offer some very nice supplementary classes that you can sign up for within the Apple Store app. Some absolutely phenomenal and very kind staff here.

2022-04-27Give apple a bunch of money and then when your product breaks after 6 months they’ll make you wait weeks for a repair instead of simply giving you a replacement. Every other technology company I’ve purchased from makes it much easier. At apple you need to make an appointment in person, wait 45 min because they’re backed up, then be told to wait longer for a repair that is going to be delayed because parts are backed up. Even just stopping into check on the repair status took 20 minutes.Meanwhile they have new inventory in store they can sell you. So they can help new customers but basically say “FU let’s make this difficult” to the folks they’ve already taken money from. The response that they “simply can’t give you a new item” makes absolutely no sense. Their policy is not to do this, they decided to make this difficult for existing customers. How this company still exists with such terrible customer service is beyond me. Consumers can do better.

2022-06-21Try the 5th Ave location. They’re much nicer.First person I spoke to was super rude. Didn’t even respond when I said hi, so I had to launch into why I came. Asked some questions, got told to buy a new phone or not receive help, in short. When I pointed out the tech’s attitude she responded by lashing out. I said I was done with the conversation and she said Well I’m not done and continued to speak in a raised voice. I simply don’t think you should be allowed to speak to a customer like that?Chris was helpful, but couldn’t erase the attitude of the first tech. I would never come back. Rude tech never gave name 👍 ofc, but she had curly black hair with frosted tips. Avoid 👍Also noting that masks are still required at the Oculus. Not a single employee was masked.
