I think it’s all of Flatbush restaurants have nothing but ignorant incompetent rude disrespectful non professional teens working there but this location as well . The worse basic service . Rude employees. Food is garbage . Incompetent. Lack of basic work ethic . Horrible staff. Disappointed every time . Order is wrong every time never fails. I can’t see the staff getting a better step at life then this basic food chain, y’all the worse hands down . Congratulations
I was sent the wrong order, but the store manager made sure to have my correct order prepared and delivered. Because she was getting off soon, she made it her business to deliver it to my house directly since I was only a few minutes away from the location! She was amazing, thank you!
If you just getting drinks its heaven on earth but you gonna wait at least a hour for the food. Flatbush junction..so am leaving this review while am here they just brought half my order. ..got the stake and baked potatoes..the stake is ready before the potatoes and they go together
Myself and 2 friends came for a quick drink and food we ordered the happy hour margaritas and a brutus beer. After 20 minutes the server Keshwan shows up with the margaritas and no beer...no mention of beer. I requested a 2nd drink because if this was the pace they were moving at I need it in the pipeline. My company ordered drinks as well. He brought out the food and still no Brutus Beer mentioned then we had to ask and he says oh we dont have it.....missing food missing drinks we asked for the bill. When the bill arrives Keshawn charged us $12.99 for each margarita.....The Happy Hour Margarita is $5! We said to him why is this on the bill? He said I ordered Patron Margaritas, but we didnt ask for it nor ordered it. He then proceeds to ask us what are we going to do???? I asked him WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO? He says i am going to speak to my manager and then returns to say that the manager said since we drunk them we must pay for it. GTFOH please call the manager over..... We patiently waited for the manager to come to our table. She spoke to people behind us, walked passed us and spoke to several people by the bar and then went to the back. I kindly left $70 on the table and left. What kind of childish operation are you guys running over there. They clearly didnt realize we were GROWN PEOPLE and not young college students you trying to rob money from. As we got outside she finally came behind us screaming for us not to come back......WHY WOULD COME BACK......
The food is fantastic! The burgers were amazing. Fresh and cheesy. The only thing was when we first came in many waiters walked right pass it. Resulting in us being seated after 15 minutes of waiting. When it was empty. Our waiter was not friendly, overall not a friendly environment. Would only go again for the food, not the atmosphere.
I took my two children to dinner last night. The youngest son said that he saw cockroaches and he refused to sit down and squatted until he finished dinner! The eldest son ordered a DOUBLE-GLAZED BABY BACK RIBS and all vomited up early in the morning after eating. He vomited up again at school this morning. The teacher asked me to take the baby home at noon! I ordered the Bourbon Street Chicken&Shrimp, the mashed potatoes in it were sour! I don’t know why it’s really unacceptable to serve such a meal to the guests!
I went on Valentines Day around 9 pm and was waiting at the door for 15 minutes..finally a host came took us to 2 dirty tables then find a table in the corner where you can clearly see no one is working that section. We sat at the table for 40 minutes and no one came to serve us. Mind you the restaurant wasnt crowded. Needless to say we left and went to DALLAS BBQ were the service was much better eventhough they were crowded. Guess thats because of poor service at this establishment customers went over to BBQs.
I took my Mother to Applebees on Mothers Day she is allergic to Pepper she must have said it at least a half-a-dozen time not to put Pepper on the food and they did🤔 but other than that the food was great service was okay the place was clean the music was too loud but okay my Mother had a wonderful time .
Visited on a snow day, about 5-6 pm. We got greeted cordially and were able to sit at a table we preferred. Waitress was very sweet and helpful. She gave us recommendations, told us what was new, and explained the various options available to us. Mennu is varied, and really good tasting. Would definitely come back
I would give this place no stars! Experience is always trash when I come here. Staff are always rude and disrespectful. They make you wait forever to be seated or to get food even when they aren’t even busy. Don’t even mention to speak to the manager because the manager is just as GHETTO as the employees . Extremely disgusting. Avoid the problem an don’t come here
I had a good experience. I liked what I had ordered, a Southwest Chicken Bowl, however, the rest of my party was not satisfied with theirs.The servers were very courteous and professional. The manager was then called and he was so gracious and accommodating. He had two of the orders redone to try to meet my partys needs and from time to time, personally came to our table to see that all was well.In the end, our bill was also discounted.
This was the absolute worst dining experience i can remember. My family came here last night to celebrate the high school graduation of my cousin and boy did we make the worst mistake in coming here. We waited close to 45 minutes to be seated and once seated it took at least 20 minutes just to get our waters after we had ordered them. The soda my cousin ordered was watered down. The chips and salsa appetizer we ordered came after our food arrived, there were no utensils brought with our food, and I even had to go to another table to get ketchup. But it gets worse, my burger arrived without the fries it was supposed to come with and when the fries came (after I had eaten my burger) they were stale! Lastly, all graduates were supposed to get chocolate cake with ice cream but of course they ran out of ice cream. I spoke to the manager Natasha Hall and she really didnt do much to address the poor service we received. They are lucky it was a family event otherwise I would have refused to pay the bill. The experience was nothing short of a disgrace and a down right shame. Will never return to this location and would give it a ZERO if I could.
Went for lunch; pretty empty at 2pm like I expected. I did NOT expect to wait over 40minutes for my food with there being less than 20 diners in the restaurant. My friends entree came out with the appetizer, which was annoying in itself, but imagine not getting your food until your friend is just about done with their meal. My food came out sizzling hot, which usually would make me happy, but tells me the waitress clearly forgot about my meal since it had been over 30 minutes since I ordered. She also was not seen in the lobby once she realized she forgot my food, which was apparent when she looked over at us and half jumped in surprise. After she brings the food, she spent so long with another table that I had to ask another waitress for a to go box because at this point my friend is done with their meal and I no longer wanted to stay there. The waitress then proceeded to chase us out of the restaurant asking if we had paid after pretty much ignoring us the that whole time. My bill was a little less than $60, and I wish I had exact change because she absolutely did NOT even deserve the $1.60 or so that was left over. BAD MANAGEMENT BAD SERVICE BAD ALL AROUND.And on top of it all, my chicken came out burnt. The site should be shut down and everyone should be retrained because customer service has clearly taken a back seat at this location.
I love eating there. What surprised me the last time I went there is that the chicken quesadillas were well cooked, thus very enjoyable to eat. The 3-cheese chicken penne was good. The waitress, who I forgot her name, was very pleasant, attentive and professional. I have nothing bad to say about this experience.
My wife and I came here for breakfast.The restaurant has a nice atmosphere. Overall we thought the food was excellent. We each ordered pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream. The pancakes Were delicious. I also had a delicious Strawberry banana smoothie. However the service was very poor.When we entered the restaurant there was Nobody to greet us. We had to search for Somebody to Seat us. Finally someone showed us a table .We were given menus quickly, but then waited another 10 or 15 minutes for a waitress to come over . There was nothing on the table. No place setting. No napkins. No water.My wife ordered a cup of coffee and Wanted it right away.That took another 15 Or 20 minutes. Eventually we received our pancakes but they were missing the strawberries. We had to call the waitress over again and she brought a separate plate of strawberries after a few minutes.Eventually we got all of our food and drinks,And the waitress even brought over napkins and silverware.The delicious food was worth the WaitBut I cannot recommend this place if you want quick service.
I like that young people have more jobs. They seemed to be attentive when they get you in and take your order after being seated. The food came out fast. The only complaint is that if youre all done and ready to pay and leave it could be a long wait. They need the payment kiosk on this table and for the server to frequent the tables. We asked someone else for the check and paid cash. When we got up to leave , the server that I had same running toward me and my boyfriend to see if we made payment . I answered yes, and told him he wouldnt behave had to worry if he checked back with us.
False advertising!!! Visited this location with my kids for a quick bite and was told by the manager the prices I see in this picture and posted on tablet on every table was false.....i mean it looks pretty true to me....manager Carl pretty much came over and spoke these words...but Im here wondering....is this his first managing job? Get it together Carl !!!!! Somebody need to teach this man how to handle his manager duties....oh and he wasnt even nice about it....my server though was very professional and handled his role seamlessly....i wont recommend this location to anyone
We asked to be seated outside and waited for 14 mins for service today 7/10/2021. We asked the girl doing take out orders if we could get service, she just looked at us with a serious attitude and said nothing. We then asked the girl behind the bar for assistance and she apologized, she said, she would be with us shortly, cause she did not know we were here, no one told her. We left and ate at Juice Box and it was awesome.
Poor service and when I finally got my rack of ribs there was barely enough meat to hold the ribs together. SMH. There was hardly any meat it was just bones. I paid the ridiculous check that was over $100. I dont mind paying even double that, but poor service lousy food and I left there starving like a hostage.
We were seated immediately. But outside in the blazing sun (enough where we both got tanned, no matter what side of the table given we sat). Then waited almost 2 hours for drinks and apps... reason given- short staffed and endless to-go orders. Not even an umbrella to sit in shade while we waited. Applebees wont even get half of a thumbs up for making my once in a blue moon evening to hang out with a bestie, a complete waste.Suggestion: limit customer intake/ online orders to accommodate either one, instead of failing drastically to balance the two...a complete no-brainer🤷🏾♀️
Tried to go here for a date night with my partner and it was a horrendous experience both indirectly and directly which deterred us from even wanting to proceed with eating here. The hostess had an attitude and as a family in front of us with 6 people were asking for the wait time, the hostess said “idk just come back and see” which horrified both the family and us. The family vented to us and we explained that they shouldn’t have had that experience. We tried to persevere and spoke to that same waitress and she had a snarky response to her manager saying “well you don’t see a computer here right? So how am I supposed to know the wait time?” In front of us. She proceeded to say to us within earshot of her colleague that “people ain’t even getting served right now so idk about the wait”. This all happened on Thursday 6.24.21 Evening around 8pm. That hostess should be written up and fired for her poor representation of this establishment. I like Applebee’s but have no time for poor customer service reps that treat others with disrespect where they are spending their hard-earned money.
Maybe they are understaffed and still adjusting after covid restrictions were lifted a few days ago, but the experience at this Applebee’s left much to be desired. The whole restaurant was a mess, with menus and napkins on the floor, a ripped booth cushion which we were seated at, and crayon scrawled on the booth wall. The a/c was blasting and it took 20 mins for anyone to come to our table. We had to ask for utensils and napkins and waited even longer for the check, which was incorrect. The only reason this isn’t a one star review is that our food was correct, the appropriate temperature and a chef was literally out taking drinks and brining utensils and condiments out to whichever tables caught him to ask for service.
Long wait for your food but the service is good. Standard fare for a chain store restaurant. Expensive if you dont buy the special. The portions grow bigger the more expensive the cost. I bought the spare ribs at twenty five dollars the entree and two side dishes for four dollars each. The food was good but if you dont mind the crowd at BBqs id say they are the better deal. We saw the line out the door at BBqs and went here because it was less crowded. My friend bought a grilled chicken and string beans and it was almost twenty dollars and terribly small portioned and the chicken was dry. You just dont go to a restaurant like this one for healthy food and get delicious food. Or large portions. I liked the lemonade because it wasnt very sweet and it has a little bit of tart to it like it was fresh squeezed. The special comes with a salad and Id say on the other table it looked good. This is not a cheapskate place to eat and neither is BBqs but the wait staff is competent and professional. I tipped the young hard working kid well. Oh and they took our temperature and social distanced.
While the food is very tasty, the customer service doesnt add up to the value of how much youre paying for the food. One young lady that was short with a puffy curly high bun acted like she didnt even want to let me in when I had to go all the way down for the restaurant already messing up with giving ubereats the wrong order to deliver to me. I wasnt in a pleasant mood at all so I just let it be. Customer service in this place needs a major improvement. Will not be ordering from here with UberEats again.
Hated it. Called ahead to see what time they closed-got a severe attitude from someone.The service was even worse, when I told the server what was wrong with my order they literally rolled their eyes, walked away & I sat there for another hour just 2 ask for another order. BBQS across the street was amazing though!
Service was horrible. I arrived with a group of 12 around lunch time. The restaurant was fairly empty. Being seated took about 10 minutes. Being greeted took about 15 additional minutes. The waitress overlooked a few people when taking our order. We also were not given silverware until after our food came. Overall, our lunch break took over an hour. The hostess was informed that we were on a lunch break, but there was no sense of urgency in the service we received. Not coming back to dine here.
I ordered the grilled chicken my date ordered the steak. Both seemed to be prepared from frozen instead of fresh. Our waitress had a very laxed, unconcerned attitude towards providing excellent service, handing my date the bill without looking at him. Didnt come back to see if we needed water, desert etc. He still tipped her generously, but I feel she did not earn it.
Manager is very professional, friendly & endeavors to ensure customer satisfaction. I highly recommend Waitors to undergo in-service training regularly to avoid dissatisfaction & poor service. Recent visit, my waitor kept asking what drink I ordered. Never brought my bread-sticks & salad. His tablet died & his service was terrible.Also observed some seats that needs to be replaced. As they were a bit torn. COVID-19 is still surfacing. Hence the reason, APPLEBEES needs to take extra precautions to ensure safety measures are maintained @ high standards. For e.g. seating without any defacing.
Large crowd reviewWAIT TIME: We were a party of 10 so we expected to wait a reasonable time to be seated. I was shocked that upon our arrival and standing in the very small vestibule, that nobody acknowledged are presence for 20 minutes. During that time there were several parties who came and left because no one was present.SERVICE: Our waiter was phenomenal. She only made one round for each of the orders (drinks, appetizers, and dinner). The drinks and food arrived in a reasonable time after we were seated and all the orders and special requests were correct. She did have assistance bringing our dinners out.QUALITY OF FOOD: The food was hot and delicious. There was not one complaint from any of us.OTHER: This section is only applicable for me because the other 9 family members seemed to be fine. Its been 4 days and Im just now recovering from the food I ate. Also it will be extremely unfair not to inform you that when we were greeted by someone, the gentleman did move us from the vestibul over to a small waiting area and informed us that he was speaking with the manager to see how they could serve us properly because they had only one waiter who was experienced with large parties. Also the manager did come out and greet us.
Service was slow. Food came out horribly. Got half the plates ten minutes before the rest. A medium steak came out well done with slight bits of pinkish around the middle. Completely left off the mac and cheese for one of the plates (which was half sauced pasta covered in cheese). Only giving 2 stars for the fact they have the $1 margaritas right now. Other than that, wont be going back to this location. Spent nearly 2 hours at this place. 🙄 Not worth the time or money spent.
Honestly I think people sleep on this place too much, their food isnt too bad, its not amazing but its good enough to have a nice meal with family and friends. Now if you looking for some bomb smoothies and cocktails 🍸 then you are in luck! Applebees is the way to go especially if you are trying to bar hop 😁
This all took place at On December 5,2020And We All Followed the COVID 19 rules and regulations on Distancing inside.At 8pm we went inside to get tables for 9 people they it be ready by 8:35pm the call us at 9pm .When we finally went inside we waited another 20mins for them to clean the tables. Finally we sat down made our order and we waited over 25 mins for order, when our food order finally came in they served us the appetizers and our dinner.Then The Straw That Broke The Camels Back the waiter said we going to have to give you boxes to take the food home with you because of COVID 19 curfew. And thats when I said Manager please .When the manager arrived only thing I got was a 20.00 discount on my order.This was worst Service I ever experience in my entire life And I pray to God that this wont happen to my worst enemy.This the Good Times, Whats Happening ,The Jeffersons ,The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air And Martin Ghetto Type Service ever I had.
Food is better than the average of its chain especially Manhattan! Unfortunately, staff needs better training, starting with hostesses with no personality. Not one have we encountered yet has been remotely nice considering this is a neighborhood restaurant. You have quite a wait prior to a server greeting you properly. When you do order, they bring dinner to close to appetizers, even sometimes together! Generally, something is incorrect of they forget your salad, theres always something. Staff doesnt bus the tables enough so you will have stacks of plates and glasses, that you will stack yourself because they just come with the food. Frequently servers are just missing! Drinks are decent but also inconsistent with extended waits between rounds! Eventually you hunt them down for the check, because you cant be bothered with dessert and coffee and your table wont have room for it anyway! Again being a neighborhood restaurant and our choices being very limited, we go back week after week.....
Oh my God! My first order was very dry and I spoke to the manager and chef Leon Rodney who was super nice to redo my order himself. I am so happy. The presentation of the platter looks like million dollar dish. The fish tastes delicious and juicy to the point I had to stop eating to write this review. Thank you, excellent customer service.
I know this is an Applebees, ergo the bar should be low. However this was only a notch above abysmal. The server was missing in action often, the table sticky. One of the employees could scarcely be bothered to stand up the entire time we ate lunch there, he sat and greeted folks and folded towels. The other employees had quite the conversation going about someone dating somebody they should not be, and how someone there always got away with things the other folks could not. Then the food came. I had the pick two combo... my fries were cold and may have been shipped in from another state instead of cooked in the back. But given the itenerate nature of our server they probably just sat a long, long time before making it to me. The chicken was dried out and cold. The beverage service was once and then done, my companions had wilted nasty lettuce in their plates, and a tortilla that was potentially usable as a roofing patch. Overall even for an Applebees this was a new low. I would say the only thing they got right was no one got ill.
If youve been to one, youve been to them all. The food is good. The atmosphere is good. Get a couple of friends together and youve got yourself a good time. The neighborhood drinks are great. Usually only a dollar. Its easy to get to, being at the junction. Overall, a good place to have a good time.
My experience at this restaurant was horrible. The service is very slow , and waiters are hanging out talking about their personal life. More than 15 peoples are waiting to be served and there are approximately 9 tables available. Adding on to my experience ,I’ve noticed that the staff are very ratchet. I’ve counted 22 curse words while about 4 employees are standing in the front of this family restaurant mingling . They don’t even deserve the one start I gave them...... ( but I had to post this review because I had to let my fellow citizens know..)
Very clean location and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The food however leaves a lot to be desired.To be clear - this isnt directed at this specific location, but rather Applebees as a whole. You obviously shouldnt come here expecting a gourmet meal but theres definitely room for improvement.
The food is great and the atmosphere is cozy. The reason I gave 4 stars is because the last few times I visited Applebees, the waitresses took well over 20 minutes to come to our table to take our orders (once we were seated, they would come to the table and say Ill be right with you and disappear). One of the those times, we got up and left the restaurant because we sat there waiting for so long. Other than that, the food is pretty good.
The Bartenders and waitresses are very nice but the management is extremely lacking. They consistently under staff causing long waits even when tables are available.I ordered half price appetizers at happy hour To go; but the Mgr. Carl, doubled my bill because it was a To go order. I explained that Ive ordered out at happy hour plenty of times and its never been an issue. He was very nasty and snatched food for me and my daughter off of the table. I was shocked at the treatment. Patrons who witnessed the disrespectful treatment also expressed their surprise at the Mgrs aggressive behavior. Smh...
Service was horrible. I took my grandson there for lunch early Saturday afternoon, the place was not crowded at all. After waiting 25 minutes to be seated, we waited at our table at least 15 min before being acknowledged by a waitress saying Ill be with you in a few minutes. 13 minutes later my grandson and I was walking out without even being serve a glass of water. As i left i complained to the manager and he was really nonchalant about it.
Nope. Cold food, forgetful servers... I had the Mexican rice with my meal and it tasted strongly of cleaning solution. Food is very salty. My girlfriend went to the bathroom and came out as soon as she set foot in there, saying that it was among the dirtiest shed ever seen. Doesnt seem like the staff, except for the bartender, really cares.
My experience at this particular Applebees was great. I went there for a birthday dinner and the waitress was very attentitive and friendly. She was serving a party of approx 14 and everything went off without a hitch. Altogether, the staff seemed nice and the ambiance was fine (it was a Saturday).
Worst service ever. My last time here was in September, they took for ever to get my food, and when it arrived it was cold. Came back today, giving them another chance. Ask how long it would take (5-7 min.) Two couples came after us and got seated. The first time she skip us, I was polite and alerted her; when she skip us the second time, I call her manager and left.
I ordered Coca-Cola but got Sprite instead and they denied to change it to Coca-Cola.Also I had to wait for the food for over 20 minutes when all I ordered was a cheeseburger. Very bad service. Also my friend tried to get the waiters attention and she just walked past and ignored her.
My server was super friendly which was awesome but the food was ehh. My steak was undercooked then when I mentioned it they over cooked the same steak she just took off my plate. The red skin potatoes had no flavor or seasoning they were just beyond bland and I usually enjoy Applebee’s red skin potatoes. Suffice it to say I was pretty disappointed with the food that I got but I ate it because I paid for it and seeing as to what happened when I mentioned the steak I didn’t want to take any chances with the people that were making my food. I probably won’t be going back to that particular Applebee’s which sucks cause it’s the one closest to my home.
Omg.. THE ABSOLUTE WORST ALFREDO I EVER TASTED IN MY WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE. I could only take two bites, the overwhelming amount of Parmesan completely destroyed and took over the taste of Alfredo it was honestly repulsive. The customer service was terrible, the hostesses looked like they wanted to kill me for coming in, no greeting no anything. Our waitress was kind though, but I know she was exhausted. Won’t b coming back here.
My family and I came to this establishment for a quick meal. We were seated fairly quickly because the restaurant was very empty. We later ordered our meals and eventually everyones food arrived besides my 3 year old child. We waited and waited and waited and at that point everyone was done with their meal and my daughters food still has not arrived yet. We noticed the manager walking by and we had asked him why my daughter did not receive her food and two minutes into the convorsation her food arrived. At that point we had to end up getting her food to go because we were very frustrated at the service we received. The manager didnt ask to take anything off the bill. Not to mention the food was very mediocre. I will not be going back here ever again. I see why BBQs took most of your business away. Sorry not sorry.
Im not happy with Lisa she didnt come to my table at all I was waiting for half hr waiting the young lady at the door took my order she came to my table when I was done eating and said she had a table with 11 ppl and she had to tend to them she also bragged about working there for 13 years Im not impressed shes full of it and needs to be fired she even said shes aware that ppl walk out Ill never go back there
Really good atmosphere the staff was great no complaints all and all one of the best 🍎 bees in the country I have been. I am a New York guy but I live in Austin, TX and was visiting for a few days I was coming from the Nike store around the corner and found this spot. Food was very fresh as well, I had the bourbon chicken and shrimp was very good! Definitely I will go back next time in Brooklyn!
DISGUSTING RESTAURANT EVER!!! Worst experience of my life with any restaurants/ Applebee’s alone. Waitress kept running from my table barely heard the rest of the order. Her attitude was out of this world for no reason. We had to ask a different waitress for a re- order because our dessert came out extremely late as well as our food. My friends and I ordered brownies with ice cream and the ice cream was foamy, spread all over the plate as if it sat out and brownies were cold. Waste of time!! I could’ve went down the street to DALLA BBQS as I usually do. The STAFF NEEDS TO BE BIGGER and better. A couple of tables waited just as long as we did. I came for 3 simple things...a drink, appetizer, and dessert. It took 2 1/2 hours for me to get and leave. Never again.
Came to this location for the first time yesterday. I have to say everything was great.I ordered the cedar grilled salmon/fried shrimp with mash potatoes & broccoli. It was tasty along with my red berry drink.I cant remember my waiters name,but he was great & always came back to check on things 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
A fight broke out between the employees behind the counter and some customers that carried on a bit longer than it should have. The fight was so loud we couldnt get our order in because our waitress couldnt hear us over the noise. To unfortunately add insult to injury, the waitress gave us attitude when we asked for another round, and when we asked for a box to go. If you go, expect decent food with a side of attitude
This is totally discrimination if you white do not expect be served. I came with my wife and 2 kids we wait 25 minutes everybody who came after us was already seated. It was only few tables taken whole place was free to seat. I was patiently waiting but after we finally was sited we wait 20 minutes my wife went to restroom with kid to change the diaper and somebody stole very expensive sun glasses. When I call manager she told me there is nothing I can do sorry.
I love Applebees including this location! I normally eat here for a quick bite for lunch! Usually around this time Im able to get immediate seating and service is pretty quick! I love to order the French onion soup with grilled salmon and broccoli. my favorite Applebees dessert is the Blondie which I do not think this location has at this time. I usually park in the parking lot next to this location.
I went to this location and the waitress named Denise was really rude and unprofessional. I guess she didn’t want to be there however she messed up my order after waiting for over an hour. I ended up only paying for my drinks. It’s no excuse to be rude to customers at all. And the lady across from my table had her shoes off and her feet on the cushion without covering her mouth when she coughed. Worst experience ever
Service is horrible and the food lacks flavor. The only two things i can recommend are the ribs and the chicken wontons. Only come here because my grandson likes the kids meals and he gets to go Target after. You will have to wait for your food for at least 45 minutes. Once you order you may not receive the meal you ordered.
I came here with co-workers for lunch. Im so bugged by this place, in going to leave this review open to update the whole experience.Took 11 minutes to sit us.The waitress had a great sense of humor about it, but there were 7 items on the menu (mainly specialty drinks) that they didnt have.My drink was warm, with ice in it.My co-worker has syrup on her glass and we couldnt get a napkin.Brunch Burger was actually really good; temperature was right.Left a good tip for waitress.
I give this a place 3 maybe 3.5. food was ok but a bit smaller than the last time I came. The seat felt SUPER UNCOMFORTABLE. Went to Applebees with fear and trepidation last night. It was very crowded and if it were not for my friend, I would have left. We had a super awesome waitress named Crystal. She was upbeat and friendly without being intrusive. The food and drink arrived in a timely manner. I hope this new trend of good service continues
U usually have a good experience here but this time the drinks was very weak and server did not have a smile on her face all the time. Maybe she had a long day but I was annoyed at her professional. She forgot to give us utensils, napkin and seemed annoyed when we reminded her a few times. I just finished my drink and bagged my food up. Lost my appetite on the appetiser and her bad attitude. I gave her no tip( which i am always happy to give) and left a note on the bill.
Just dont go here...service is slow, not good. Ive gone there for two end of the year staff celebrations. The restaurant was barely full and it took a long time to get anything. I remember it took 40 minutes to an hour just for our drinks. Keep in mind my co-workers and I only had a 30 minute lunch break, but our bosses gave us an hour, since it was a holiday around that time, so we wanted to treat ourselves... I ordered a lemonade and when it didnt come, we had to flag down a waiter/waitress to ask them. They went to check and said there was only one person at the bar...so then I decided that I would just get a soda instead...which didnt help...it still took forever....and the food was not so appetizing here. The customer service is horrible...the first time I called the corporate office and received a discount, the second time, the corporate office really didnt do much, but that was in part, because my party had to leave immediately after eating and I wasnt able to call and get in contact with anyone right away. The manager dont do anything when we are not satisfied and it will be a waste of your time and money, because the food would come out either cold or overcooked.
This neighborhood deserves better. The food was good but management is lazy. The messy, smelly bathroom is unacceptable. Trash everywhere, overflowing trash bin, clogged toilets, and the smell...When we began to tell the manager that the womens bathroom was a mess he said I know, the bathroom right? Obviously everyone was complaining and it remained that way for more than 30 mins after that.
Service was awful. Server forgot my food and never came back to check. Had to go get her and remind her. By the time I got it everyone was finished and I took it to go. Also asked for them to come and sing happy Bithday to my mom. They never came. We waited and the never came. So disappointing.
BEAWARE!!!! I had to give one star otherwise Google would not let me post this review, but this place deserves ZERO Stars!!!This is the worst Applebees I have ever been too!! It starts with poor Management!! When the management is poor, the service is poor. This was my third take out order here and will be my last!! I dont plan on coming back!! I placed in order, drove over and had my son go in because of parking issues in this area. I had to leave my car and go inside to see if something had happen to my son. 45 min wait from when the time the food suppose to have been ready. Did I mention the inside of the restaurant was empty! Applebees, you need to evaluate this location very well. Call in an order and go through what people like me have to go through. You have been warned!!! Give your self at least a 45min to 1 hour wait for food to be ready when ordered online, after the approx time food says it will be ready. Also as soon as you walk in too pick up your order, they make you sign for it quickly, so it could seem as if the food was already handed to you. I dont blame the employees, I blame poor Management!! When management is poor the employees can only follow the pattern. You have been WARNED, and I dont write reviews but this place is ridiculous and I had to let others know. Its not like we got the food for free, if someone comes to your business and spends money treat them good so they can come back!
Went there with my boyfriend today by accident because our favorite spot was close .The staff were not very welcoming at all and did not introduce herself to us . Our table was sticky. The person who served us her nails got into my food her nails was very long. food was disgusting I think they purchase frozen food and prepared it . The buffalo chicken we ordered were definitely frozen chicken , it tasted like the Tyson chicken that you get from target And they microwave it for too long . The nachos were definitely microwaved as well and my tilapia was burned . This is probably the worst Applebee’s I have ever been to. Never going back there .
The food is not really consistent and wait times can be a little cray. Not to get a table, cause for the most part, theyre not as crowded since BBQs opened. I mean the wait for your food. You would expect service to get better since they have major competition now but its still the same.
This is the most horrible Applebees Ive ever been too. I waited an hour for my food. And while waiting I noticed that not only are there no Caucasian employees but very few customers aswell. As I looked around I noticed the only people that hadnt received there food or there drinks even were all white! A family was seated next to mine about twenty min after we came in and they received there food a good 5 min ahead of us. Guess what... they were black. How the hell can you run an establishment under prejudice? Never again will I EVER come to this Applebees. Save it for the savages.

First, the hostess didnt even notice us waiting to be seated til an older customer walked in. About 10 minutes later, we were seated and the hostess was very uncooperative with us because we wanted to change our seat to one of the available seats by the bar to get half off and were denied, even though many seats started to become available.The waitress with the short curly hair was extremely rude to us. She did not check up on us to see if we enjoyed our food , she gave us our meal before our appetizer, it felt like she was rushing us and when I put my card out, she just grabbed it and left. The three cheese pasta was not good, the appetizer wasnt enough for two people to share and I ended up paying near forty dollars for the WORST SERVICE in the world. Im really disappointed.
Food was horrible today, not sure WHAT happened, shrimp under cooked, salmon fresh bland and taste like paper and lets not even mention the broccoli!!! Straight yuck 🤢 the mash potatoes were great and my bartender was aces!!! I believe Ashley was her name, she was friendly polite and VERY professional, definitely an added asset to Applebees ! Also the manager was awesome because I couldnt NOT say anything about my experience. Normally Im an avid Applebees patron but today the food was just horrible !!!! My friend that accompanied me got sick and threw up in the bathroom and now I too feel nauseous.
I typically enjoy my visits at this Applebees. Today, not so much. I had to wait an extremely long time to get my order taken. It wasnt very busy or crowded, as it was around 3:00 p.m. I couldnt understand why service was so slow. I ordered a virgin Pina Colada and it had ice cubes at the top. I never had a Pina Colada with large chunks of ice in it. Its usually blended smoothly. I had to send the french fries back because they were warm and stale. The server was polite and very cooperative. I hope on my next visit, the service will have improved and the items that I usually order are prepared better.
Family friendly, half priced appetizers and drinks during happy hour. They have an affordable kids menu and plenty of screens if you just want to stare at a game. For the amount of money you spend on the just ok entrees you could put in a little effort and find a restaurant with a nicer atmosphere and better food. However, if you dont have the time, energy and have kids in tow this is for you. Cheers.
The service was fast, the food was delicious, they were very polite, it was very quick, get on the line outside due to the covid-19 pandemic, there was social distancing outside of Applebees restaurant. No dinning inside of the restaurant on Nostrand Ave in Brooklyn.
So theres a parking lot attached/next door to the place and I had a friend ask the host if Applebees validates it. The young kids response was bro, its only like 12 dollars but, whatever, no big deal. We park in there and it ended up being $3 for up to 2 hours so it was fine. We waited to get seated and the kid was actually pretty cool sitting us near an outlet for phone charging but the waitress was a different story. She came over but my friend was in the bathroom so she left and came back. We all asked for water and I felt like we ordered cocktails, it took forever (it felt like). Then she comes back for our order and kept interrupting me when I spoke and everytime i asked a question she rolled her eyes. I decided to ask her, hey, am I speaking out of line or annoying you? She said no, not at all in a dry voice and did this thing with her eyes where she crossed them almost like if she tried to look at her own nose. Now each time we asked anything she cut her eyes. I felt like from the get go I had a bad experience. This waitress was tall, had blonde hair cut very short with glasses on. I left immediately and my buddy told her to cancel the order. I did not want any part of her attitude today.
I cant lie my waitress was amazing, respectable and on top of her game....However Im from long island and the prices sucks compare to wear I live. Everything on the menu is way over price. Burgers were 5 dollars more. They only have three choices for the 2 for 20. Luckily I was using my sister credit card or I dont think I would have used my personally credit card with those prices. They had Manhattan prices, smh5 🌟 for my waitress!!
I love Applebees! My favorite is the spinach dip and chicken quesadilla. The service is hit or miss depending on who you get and when you go. Ive had some great servers and some bad ones. I used to work in Applebees downtown so I know the deal. You never know what your experience will be like. You might get a great server but a lazy cook who overcooks your steak. You might get a forgetful server but the food might be perfect. You might have to wait a while or get your food in 5 minutes. You might get the wrong order or have your appetizer come out after your entrée. You just never know. But when its good, its oh so good. The happy hour is great for half off appetizers and the drinks are okay too. The triple chocolate meltdown is amazing for desert!
Came here yesterday evening for a birthday dinner. What we got was thrown into a far off booth in the corner of the restaurant with what appeared to be one moody and overworked server. One of our entrees was missing an item, even the guy that brought our food commented someones not doing their job right, there was a massive delay in bringing a tablet for my nephew, and not once did she return to even ask us if anything was okay. Oh and to top it all off, when I could try to reach our server to ask for the check she didnt even turn around to acknowledge me, but did return with a check a few minutes later. Needless to say, this location will never be receiving my business ever again.
The Food here is Great ! Always taste like its been made with complete love ! Very much appreciated ! BUT when I order from here on Uber Eats, 65% of the time my drinks are missing. Thats my only slight problem with this place. Other than that. I love the Food here & will continue to order from here. Just send me my drinks next time please lol 🤣
Waited for 12 minutes just to see a server that never came. The manager is at the bar getting his mack on at the bar while drinking Ciroc, while the servers who were just chilling.The place was basically empty with only a couple of customers. I used to go here when it first opened. All original staff and managers are gone. High turnover rate of servers due to lack of appreciation from management and franchise owner. This Applebees has definitely fallen off. I went across the street to Dallas BBQ where there is better service from servers. I advise all who read this review to do the same.
Everything is great here at Applebees. The only critic that i have is that the waiters and or waitresses check in on their table a lilttle more often than they do. I really hate having to look out for my waiter or waitress and flag them down for a refill or condiments etc. When people sit down to eat at a restaurant they are liiking firward to the meal. So having to stop eating or wait for something needed for your food after you have received it sucks. That gives your food the chance to get cold, or lose your appetite.
Ordered the Blackened Tilapia as part of the 2 for $20 and it was the saltiest thing Ive ever eaten. The other meal my friend got was good, and so was the onion ring entrée. After we were finished, it took about 10 minutes to flag down a waitress so we could get our bill despite there being only a couple of other small groups in the place. It was an okay experience overall.
I ordered a coronarita amd when the drink came to the table the whole corona was emptied in the drink(whats the purpose of attaching the bottle at that point) I asked the waitress if she could ask the bartender to make it over and she said I will let the bartender know. The manager Jovonna brings the drink back to the table and said whats wrong with the drink(with a nasty attitude) and I explained to her that the corona was emptied and the drink tasted nothing like a coronarita and I explained how the drink should be made as I have experience making this drink. The manager then asked me do you have experience making Applebees coronarita. I said I have experience with this drink because I can make it and have watched many Applebees bartenders make it. As ghetto as she could be she said well do you want it or not or do you want something else. First I need her to have some respect for the customer. Then I need her to respect the decision of the waitress who understood and was willing to make another drink. I was completely turned off. If my son and elder mom did not want to stay I would have left. Not to mention the food came out cold but at that point who do you complain to? THE CUSTOMER SERVICE STINKS HERE.
Ive sat at the bar and had a great time, this time I came at 4pm with low traffic and was treated as if it was busy in the end. As i sat down, my shirt stuck to the food that was on the tables edge lol and I Didnt get served water or asked if we wanted a soft drink with the food. My frozen margarita was well liquor and water (no flavor), asked for a 2nd of what I had previously since it sucked and Kimberly totally forgot that I requested another only to have brought me an incomplete drink. Theres no consistency, they didnt look the same at all! Next, she didnt even remember who ordered what when she brung the food, then snatched my presto machine to help the next table pay as I was in mid game that I paid for. Didnt even say sorry or explain why when she passed us the other presto machine. Just told us that we werent charged you and to use this one. As we ate, no one collected dirty dishes even though we placed them neatly on the edge of the table. She talked at the stand and payed us no mind as I had to keep searching for her to request basic things. To top it off, I ordered a steak app and was brought chicken (I was ready to go so I ate it), when I told her about the bill she says oh, well its the same price so its fine (it was 1.00 cheaper). I also had to remind her to take off the drink that I didnt keep. Overall, if I had to come back, Id sit at the bar or just go to the city to pay more. This left a bad taste in my mouth LITTERALLY. The Jalapeños on our dish werent event hot and killed our nachos. Im surprised I even gave her the small tip I did... I wish this were a Fridays here instead.
They serve good coffee and donuts, but I am annoyed that they do not allow customers to use the bath room. Only the cops in the area.,I strongly the its becUse the staff does not want to clea. The bath room. After drinking tea and coffee, so.e people need to urinate. They are stimulating drinks. Also, they have stopped the currents in the outlets, none can charge phones or even use their laptops there.
Terrible.... terrible and more terrible. .. been sitting here for 55 minutes waiting for my food. Well at least they served my kids food 20 minutes ago.... I dont know whos cooking in the kitchen or whos managing this establishment but they must me clueless.... They might as well wrap my food to go!!!!! They just told me that it takes a long time to cook a steak... GTFOH... I would definitely NOT come back to this Applebees Again. Wow...Ive been here for an hour and 15 minutes and they just told me that they dont have any baked potatoes..... if i could give you ZERO stars, i would but that wasnt an option.....Im out... A great luncheon reuniting with family. The hostess was very attentive to us and brought us water with lemon while we waited for the completion of our party prior to being seated. We were seated at a spacious table to accommodate our party of five. Ashley, our waitress, introduced herself in a gracious manner and was patient with my elderly mom who could not make up her mind due to extensive selection of food. We were very satisfied with appetizers and entrees. The food came out in a timely fashion. My next visit to New York, I will make sure to stop in Brooklyn for lunch or dinner at AppleBees..
Server was horrible. The bar tender was nice. The server didnt know what drinks were offered, didnt even look at us while taking the order, waited so long for water that I went to get it myself from the nicr bar tender. FYI.. i was with a child. All the food, apps and entree cam together. Waiter did not check on us. Oh and 10min after receiving the meals by someone else, he asked anything else you want to order? all whilst putting the check on the table.. he was not new , i asked. He worked there for 3-4mths and prior, was at an Olive Garden...
Today I went to applebees with my husband, and what happened was that when we got there, the seating hostess gave me a seat behind a large pillar. I asked them for another seat, and that took another 10 minutes. I had to stop a waitress randomly to get our own waitress. When the actual waitress got there she was nice and pleasant, took our orders quickly. My husband and I ate and 10 minutes after we left the restaurant because we walk home I got sick halfway to the apt. I was almost running to get to the apartment to avoid having an accident because my stomach was churning. The end point is, the service is not good, and the the food is definitely not fresh. This Applebees is in a convenient place but its not worth going there to just be sick afterwards.
Theyve added some interesting new items to the menu. My housemates ordered a bunch of delivery food from here today (including the burger in the quesidilla rap and the chips with the cheese dip) and everything was good. Of course its Applebees, so it probaby wont be A M A Z I N G, but all the food definitely hit the spot.
Went to this restaurant for dinner a party of four. Was seated as soon as we got in about 10:30, we waited for a server to come to our table..... 35 minutes past and no one came to our table. We finally got up and left and went to the Applebees on Emmons Ave and received wonderful service.
I went there today and waited 45 minutes only to be served a raspberry iced tea and a sprite. I was reasonably fed up and left after waiting almost an entire hour for food (the appetizer trio) and will never EVER go back. One of the waiters had the most nonchalant attitude Ive seen. Stay away
Worst experience ever my food was over cooked my grill shrimp was burnt. The best thing was my raspberry ice-tea. The womens bathroom was disgusting urine all over the toilets the floors was wet with urine spit the bathroom sink nasty wet tissue garbage every where I mean wheres the maintenance.
My kids (4 & 7 )love Applebees, im there at least once a month. Well get all kinds of Services. Great, Good, Okay and one time really Bad.. i just left about an hour a go the service was ok, the waitress looks like she had personal problemsI order mozzarella sticks we got Mash potatoes, at the and we order the triple melt for dessert and we get no spoons.. no biggie, just saying... Ill be there some time next month.
Upside: food is AWESOME!😃Downside: the manager in the day shift is boo, she made me a milkshake and it came out like liquid diarrhea, then I found her hair in it, when I called her over she had the nerve to have an attitude. I visit this establishment with 2 friends that was visiting from overseas and wanted to get the experience of having Applebees fir the first time. We sat by the bar were we had a few drink while we waited for our food, which was good no complaints but the messed up thing was after I paid with my bank card and left Applebees. Someone from that establishment took the liberty of stealing my card information and using my card for over 10 transaction in different stores. My advise to anyone visiting this establishment please pay with cash, I really wouldnt want you to face the same experience I encountered.
I took my girlfriend there for her Birthday, and the food was the wordy I have ever eaten.I ordered grilled Salmon and Broccoli. The broccoli was dalty and the Salmon was placed in the microwave it was very hard.I left my lunch.My girlfriend has some chicken and pasta and that too was bad.We left the food and walked out.It was an embarassement to me.I will never enter that restaurant again.
Ordered a Shrimp Alfredo, it was overcooked and flooded with an apparent new sauce. Although the Manger tried to drain out the excess sauce, there wasnt much that could be done to make the meal edible. This was my first time at this location. And it will be my last. The food is absolutely not up to standard!

2022-04-28When I went in the bartender checked my ID and vaccine card then sat me down with a very tempting menu. I was dining alone but that did not mean ordering was easy 2 trips later I was ready The Blackened salmon, side order of shrimp and a peach sangria plus another one, I really wanted another to help quench my throat, decided not to as I was planning on taking public transport try that drink folks, friendly service, clean restaurant and clean bathrooms. Tip if you got AARP ask for a discount.

2022-03-07Went on a late Monday night. Reasonably filled but I was seated on this obviously worn out chair with a big old duct tape where you can feel all the springs. I had to asked to be seated elsewhere. They really need to change the chairs, the other one wasnt all that comfortable either. Besides that the food was ok.

2021-08-01Ok... The good points. It was clean and very covid safe for indoor dining. Booths had high partitions and the servers all wore masks. Menus all disposable and condiments were individually packaged. Now, the other part. The server did not know the menu, and she was not really available. We literally had to ask another server to bring us the bill. And the food came and was ok, but not what we ordered. Ive experienced much better meals here in the past

2022-03-31I go here very often almost every time I go to target! The reason why I gave this restaurant a 2 star is because the service is very slow. The waiters forget your order from time to time. The waiters also can be disrespectful towards customers. The food here is very good once you get it though! Something I would also like to say is that when you order something there is always some type of mix up like if I order something they will either add something I did not ask for or forget to add what I asked for. This restaurant can totally do better😔

2022-05-15The waitress seemed bothered and kind of rude. When she forgot something she just walked away and brought it back not a word. The first were dirty like really food caked inside the fork. When we told her she again just walked away and got plastic ones not a word oh Im sorry about that nothing. It was so strange. She seemed angry when we told her my childs Juice was the wrong one and came back with again the wrong juice and didnt even say oh the one she wanted is out. I didnt day anything after that for fear of my meal being flavored with something else if you get my drift. The food itself was horrible, steak way over cooked on 1 side almost raw the other. Bland and cold sides. Drinks ok. Even my 6yr old refused to eat her food. Just all in all very bad service and food.

It was scary but this establishment was very thorough, concise and conscientious all the while adhering to the recommended government covid guidelines. Everyone did their duty to provide a safe and clean environment during this crazy time. The food was amazing as usual!

Me and my daughter went to eat last week and as soon as they brought out our entree the roaches started coming out the chair. 🤢 Never again. I didnt have to pay for anything but was the worst experience ever

2021-06-30Came at 10am. Seated quickly. The service impersonal. The quality of the food was poor. Ordered omelette with vegetables, bread and breakfast potatoes for $11.99. The food was heavily saturated in cheap oil and cheap ingredients. The cheese was a slice of Kraft cheese! The toast drenched in margarine. Looked and tasted unhealthy. I will never eat here again. My stomach felt it immediately. And the place smells musty too. Applebee’s you must do better or just shut the place down.
