Went there a coulpe of weeks ago for a girls day. I can understand being packed and having to wait for a table. What I dont understand is ordering and then waiting almost an hour for the waitress to bring us the food because she forgot about us. Then another 10 minutes for the check. Food was over cooked. I got the steak which was chewy and had an off taste. Its probably going to be a good while before I go back again.
Went in at midnight and they were short staffed. Waited one full hour and a half for a rib and chicken sandwich. Not blaming the staff but the food felt like it was made then reheated. It wasnt fresh. Obviously wasnt expecting it to be super fresh and good considering I went at midnight but this rating also includes the service as well. There were only around 12 people sitting at the bar and around two tables of groups. There shouldnt be this long of a wait for the food.
Waiter made the difference being attentive and quick with the service. He kept saying I got you with anything we asked for. Apologize for not remembering his name. Left him a generous tip for his kindness. We were there Mon. Feb 07,2022 around 9pm for sons 16th birthday.
Food & service was good. I was meeting my friends there and had to wait for them. They did not have any seats inside, only outside. It was cold & snowing. I cannot understand why they do not have any seats inside. S lot of restrictions have been lifted due to covif . Please put some seats inside. I am a senior citizen,80 years old. Get some seats. I have been to other restaurants & they had seats inside for their customers..
Been here a few times, heres what you need to know.Food and drinks are both good. Was surprised the drinks were good tbh (because its Applebees) but no complaints.One thing to note is, the ETA for a table is not too accurate. Ours was 15 minutes but it took 35 minutes.And when theyre busy expect food/drinks to take a while. Whether its the pandemic or something else causing staff shortage idk but there you have it
We were on the way to JFK Airport to pick up our son and stopped here for dinner. We went to sit at the bar and were told we could not sit were we sat because it was a no seating area even though there were 2 stools. So we went around the bar to sit were there were stools andwere ignored even though the bar person knew we were there and made eye contact several times. She took her time serving other customers that came in after us, as well reserving customers that were there before us and clearing spots. After 20 minutes she finally took our drink order, took another 10 minutes to get our drinks another 10 minutes to place an order for food. Food came out about 10 minutes later.....just asked for the check and to go boxes. When we were leaving I noticed that people were sitting in the place we were we were told it was a no seating area. Was not a good service experience.
This location proved to be unmatched with everywhere other Applebees I went to. And not in a good way. 2 women in the front, absolutely rude. Dining was practically empty and my fam went, they told us to wait for 10 minutes. Nothing after that, not a gesture to wait there, no eye contact, looking like they didnt want to work there/ didnt want to serve us. Obviously didnt stay, the customer service was NOT it, check on your employees.
This place is great. The only problem is the Bartender name Tamika is very unprofessional. If she is at the bar I normally try to get seated at a table. I witnessed Tamika and the manager have a altercation and I must say she is very disrespectful. I dont understand how she is still employed there. But hey I just come for the food and drinks.
This is the worst Applebees I have ever been to. For a large party of 10, we received our food at all different times. The lighting is very dim and dull. The place just needs a major overall. The best part about this experience was the Waiter great throughout it all. This Applebees does not coincide with other Applebees throughout the city (Menu wise).
Truly odd experience w a server Miguela. When she came over to our table she just stood there, never said hello, welcome, introduced herself, nothing. Took 15 minutes to get 2 Shirley temples. We ordered 2 apps and 2 entrees but it all came at the same time. She dropped the food minus 1 dish and left without asking if we need anything. We waved her down(since we dnt knw her name) and asked about our other dish and she said its coming. She brought it out and left again without asking if we need anything. No ketchup for fries, no ranch that comes w appetizer no refills. We never saw her again. We asked a server named Shaun for help and he was beyond AMazing. He is the only reason I would ever come back as he went above and beyond to help us. How do you wait tables and never even speak? Not sure how she got the job it was atrocious.
The one in green acres is 1000x better, the drinks over here were bad, the impossible burger came with one meat and 1 lettuce and two buns I had to ask the server to take it back. only thing that was okay was the wings because there is no way you can mess that up🤦🏾♂️ 0 Stars if I could give that to this location.
My food and my husband food took forever to arrive and when it did arrive you would think it would come hot, It didn’t. It was almost cold and the food taste really bad and dry. My husband food was cold even though there was steam. The food was horrible! No one came to check on us and see if we needed anything or to give us a estimate on how long the food was going to take or apologize for the wait.
We were seated, gave our order and then waited 45min for cold food. Ribs cold, fries old, 2 chicken pastas they were cold with hot plates and a smothered chicken. We left all our plates and after working a 12hour day with tired bodies we called it a night. Bad form Applebees.
My waitress was BRIANNA W and she was amazing for the duration of my stay at this restaurant . Our food came out hot and fresh . She constantly checked on my date and I to make sure we were enjoying our meal. Anything we asked for she was was willing to accommodate us without anything attitude at all. Towards the end of our meal I handed her a gift card and to pay for my meal and she took it without an attitude charged me and wished us a great day. She was a sweetheart and she made my experience at this restaurant a great one.
First ov all they told me happy hour was till 12 got here and it’s overrrrr then we still sat down after being miss lead and still proceeded to Order we started out with some drinks and when we got them there was black things floating in the ice they didn’t ask if we wanting any water the worker the cleaner just parked his cleaning supplies right nexx to food sweeps the chairs with broom come to find out they gave us ok old tortilla chips out the bin the broccoli was very hard But kelis our waiter really made the best of the time here
Came to this Applebee’s on a Tuesday. Wasn’t expecting it to be crowded mid day/midweek but it was.Took too long to get a table for two so my girlfriend and I just took two bar seats. The hostess and the bartenders were both really nice. The bartenders always stayed on top of everyones drinks as well as the drinks for the tables.Food came out quickly and was cooked well.Would come back here again for the bar to get quick drinks.
I called and was told that they dont take reservations. Got there with a party of 7 and the staff appeared to be clueless and unhelpful. All three young ladies stood by the greeting counter and looked away and had empty stares while I spoke with them. Food was edible.
Placed order to-go and it took 20 minutes for someone to walk up to the window even though there is a line outside. There wasnt a lot of people in the restaurant on a Tuesday afternoon. Way less than the 25% capacity. All the servers (about 4-5) who passed by the window and saw us waiting didnt want to address us. They glanced over and kept walking. One stood near a booth and just clasped her hands!Our order was finally placed and they told us 20 mins. Went shopping, so we didnt have to wait around the crowd of people waiting to order/pick-up. Its now 40 mins and they said theyre still waiting on the kitchen for one of our orders. Writing this review to pass the time waiting.You can determine if you want to deal with this type of service. I find it unacceptable for the wait time (on a Tuesday afternoon) and the attitude of the staff. Food was fine, though I will warn others of what to expect.
Went to Applebees at gateway in Brooklyn. The service was poor the prices ridiculously high, my friends drinks filled with so much ice that it took 2 beer mugs to get it all out. Glad I dont drink🙄! Took 30 minutes for someone to come tell us we were sitting in a closed section, all though multiple waitressesPassed us by.One even told us a waitress would be with us shortly. 15 minutes after that we were told the area was closed. Us we waited at the bar for another 15 minutes before we received menus. Mined you this place was far from full. When the bartender finally came back with the menus, I order some lemon water while I read the menu. 20 minutes later,she came back,I ordered my usually meal, southwest bowl. Usually$10.99! At this place a friend checked the prices,now its $15.99😳😮! I went and cancelled my order. The rest of our party ordered drinks. There policys to put 100% ice in the drinks even if you requested little ice. Mined you! This place is at less than a quarter capacity! 30 minutes later the 4 drinks and two waters arrived. All told it 2 hours and a half to receive 4 watered down drinks and two glasses of water with a wedge of a lemon. One of our party tried to order a meal, the bartender didnt return to take the order. We reached out to the manager to express our concerns, as the rest of my party watched the staff doing what they had been doing before we were told the area was closed, standing around laughing and talking. The two Applebees that we normally frequent,the service is far Superior and the prices are better. Will not be returning to gateways Applebees again wouldnt recommend it and the places can hold a large capacity,this Saturday night it was near empty. I only rated this place one star from the ability to hold large capacity otherwise I wouldnt give it a star at all! As run DMC would say in the place to be! Not the place to be😖!
I would not recommend this place from the experience I am having. Ive been here at the bar and received almost no service. They are rude and not really helpful. I can tell they hate there job here. So, Ill do the restaurant a favor and never come back to this location. I hope they can find a job that they at least like. On the brighter side, at least it seems the employees like each other.
First time visiting this location and definitely my last. My family and I were not welcomed by the host, who obviously did not want to be there (2/11/2022 around 7pm).One of my relatives forgot her Vax card for entry to dine, so we left more so disappointed by the way we were received. The young lady proceeded to sit in a corner and get on her phone.
I was so pleasantly surprised by this Applebees in Gateway! Service was speedy and professional. Food was amazingly good. We were a party of 10 on a Saturday for lunch and I did not gave high hopes, but I was so wrong! Im not really into Applebees, but if this is your thing, this is a fabulous location
Great place to bring the family for dinner I had a little wait for 8 of us which was like 15 to 20 mins wait...they have a bar and seating outside also...must say that the sever aliyah was very very very kind friendly and professional she made the day more special...the blue Hawaiian drink was very tasty and the food was also delicious price wasnt bad either for 8 of us the bill was $250 including tips...will definitely be going back and hopefully aliyah will be there too
Waited 40 minutes for a table and to be seated but to wait an extra 40 mins to not get service it’s unbelievable when i asked for the supervisor i got told she was busy be aware of going to this location that’s barely busy the waitresses doesn’t have a clue what her section to cover is
This Applebees need to be closed down, this has happened to me several times I gave it about a year and it still hasn’t improved. Tonight I ordered a full rack of ribs I felt as if it was super tough, I couldn’t pull them apart or break it in half. When I managed to break it open it was completely pink inside. It’s completely unacceptable.
Update: this is the second ans LAST time we go here. After sitting over 10 minutes without being approached, we asked the hostess for a waiter. The place wasnt busy but service was bad. No sugar on the table for pur coffee. The portion was plated horribly. I will add a picture. Overall horrible experience.Horrible service. Dont patronize this location.
The WORST, the young lady her nails were so long she couldnt give me my change, after 6 minutes of looking how pathetic she was I just said keep the change, my order was sitting behind her but she tells me to wait 10 more minutes while she was on her phone. UNBELIEVABLE.
It took over an hour for the food to come. I ordered water and they didn’t even run the water before putting in my glass because I could still taste the Pepsi. When the food final did come it was not appealing but it did not taste bad and was hot. The waitress was very nice that’s why I gave this place 2 stars.
The food was great nice and hot the service from the waiter was a little slow when I ordered my desert the ice cream was melted he said he had no idea that he was sorry thats the only thing disappointing but otherwise enjoy there is nothing better then a good tasting hot meal I enjoyed.the waiter, my desert as u can see,and my good food♥️🤗
Worse service Ive ever had. It took 15 minutes before a waiter even came to our table. When we finally did get food brought to our table, they brought it one plate at a time over the next 20 minutes (6 ppl at our table). Appetizers came out 10 minutes AFTER our entrees. Ill never bring my family back here againEdit: I forgot to mention all the flies buzzing around as we tried to eat.Update 2. My food came out stone cold.
In NYC for our family reunion. Our group decided to have one last meal together. We were seated at a corner booth. So much food crumbs (chunks) down in the seat I could have served up a meal. Children must have been sitting there I guess by all the crayons under the table. Food was good but service was off. Not sure what but it was around 1PM maybe tired from lunch crowd.
Well let’s start by saying this has been the worst experience I’ve ever had in Applebees, we got seated, the waitress came over and asked us for our order, then stated that what we wanted to order, there was no “button” for that on her tablet! Proceeded and ordered another option, a steak medium well, the steak arrived, and I swear it was so raw, I heard chef Gordon Ramsey say it was still mooing! Then, she comes to bring the remainder of the order and drops the a1 steak sauce cup all over my drink and my sweater, brought me a sprite when I clearly asked for a Pepsi, and proceeded to imply that I asked for sprite! Then at time of checkout, I paid with my card, she came back saying it didn’t go through! Gave her another card, stated the same! Meanwhile both cards have plenty funds! I told her try another machine because I have enough on both cards! And guess what the payment went through! I honestly don’t know what the hell that whole experience was about! But it was the worst one ever!
Absolutely disgusting...got here at 2:37...as I write this I had to cancel my order... my daughter pizza came out and she finished it before my appetizer came out...I was told it would be another 5 minutes...no thanks...this was suppose to be brunch with me and the kiddo...that means should be able to at the same time...super disappointing experience...oh then we tried to use the restroom before leaving #gross
We went on a Tuesday at 2:30pm. It was empty when we arrived, and so service moved fast for us. The food came out hot and fresh.The only issue I had was when I ordered the artichoke dip with chips. While eating it, I found a French fry in it. I showed the waitress and she immediately asked if I wanted another one.Other than that, the food was good.
Dede/ Delilah was amazing! She was very humble and polite, she brought my food out on time and always checked on me. Food was perfect temperature. Super dope waiter. The manager Onico runs a good shift, it’s all good when he’s managing the shift. Definitely coming back.
The worst on-line experience ever. I ordered “the special “ hamburger, fries & a soda. And bone in crunch honey bbq wings. The best thing was the soda. ! They auto fill the burger 🍔 order stating no pink.. mine was pink. My wings weren’t crunchy just sauce thrown on top! Do yourself a favor and dine in do you can send it back immediately!!’
Have visited several Applebees but by far this is the worst. The food is the food regardless, but customer service and attentiveness wise. They need retraining on customer service. Got to the table, placed order for drinks and did not see waitress for 20 mins. And returned with the ice practically melted in the drinks... had to ask for utensils (yes food with no fork) and after receiving our food had to ask 2 other waitresses before actually receiving said utensils. I returned with a friend begrudgingly and didnt want to label one bad experience as the norm but unfortunately was the same (during nonbusy hrs) waited so long for the appetizers that they came out the same time as the food. If you really in the mode for Applebees I suggest driving the extra 15 mins to the one in 5 towns. Always excellent service there.
Well, the wait was ridiculous. We were entertained by a rather disgruntled patron who complained about the poor service, her compromised order, and the fact that service was disjointed to nonexistent for those who were not connected to service workers. Once tabled, and orders taken, we missed the advisory that the newly resurrected jerk wing and jerk barbecue rib offerings were not up to par, upon placing order for same. We did hear that the order would take longer, however. The Asian, honey barbecue, boneless wings were delectable, as were were the bone in Buffalo wings. The chicken and steak quesadillas were delicious. The Long Island ice teas provided an almost non discernable sneak attack, proving to be more effective than initially thought. We were satisfied with all of our dishes with the exception of the so called Jamaican jerk items. Considering that there is a heavy Jamaican presence in the kitchen, it is an abomination that no one can produce a passable or acceptable jerk product. There was no recognizable flavor to the meat, only a burnt taste and a smokey colorization. What an affront to the Jamaican Community! Our server was attentive to our needs and we appreciated all of his efforts. All in all, we enjoyed the other offerings and the drinks...
Service was fast and food although took a while was a bit cold. The server brought us watery pina coladas and needed to be remade and also tasted like the premise mixes not a fresh drink and apps took forever. Server was great and did attend to us but back of house and bar was not up to par.
My girlfriend and I arrived at 620pm. We were sat right away, which was nice. However it took our server at least 10 minutes to make it to our table. We ordered drinks. 5 minutes passed. 10 minutes passed. 15 minutes passed. Still no drinks and no sign of our server. We walked out. They were maybe at 10% capacity with plenty of wait staff on duty, so there was no excuse for the non existent service. Won’t be going back.
Rude hostess. About 20 minutes into my family and I waiting in the lobby to be seated, she told us to wait outside while it was RAINING even though the lobby was not crowded at all and without a real reason. It was as if she just didnt want us in there. We asked how much longer it would be and she said about 45 minutes to an hour, even though that was the time we were originally told. It seemed as though she added time to our wait. Rolled her eyes and did not seem to care when we brought this up. Dont waste your time here or at least dont come when theres bad weather.
I have been trying to support restaurants but this was just terrible. Cold appetizer. My burger came with the top half of the bun so hard I had to complain. The waitress then took nearly 15 minutes to return with just the top of the bun, I thought the whole burger was being replaced due to the length of time she took. By this time the burger is now cold and inedible. Ugggh! Never again.
My food was to be ready at 8:09. I got it 30 min late. And to try to make me happy they add 5 shrimp the salmon not good the slice was small plus had bones in it. Close it down and put chic fe la or something better there Im DONE with them gateway center get rid of applebees........plus i left a tip
The food isnt that great, they do not give the wait over the phone so if your coming from far you have to actually go there for them to tell you there is a 1 1/2 hour wait . There are a lot of your waiters and waitresses that aren’t quite sure what customer service is as in being attentive to the customer they are polite that’s about it.
Just wanted a night out with my family. Was told the wait would be an hour no problem. So I waited. And hour and 45 minutes later we were finally seated after having to go inside with my crying 7 year old. Sat down to be fed in all types of disorganization. Wings were inedible, the waitress was all over the place. One of the customers walking out told us not to sit on that side because service was bad. Was seated there anyway after we made a request to be seated elsewhere. Every meal came incomplete. Were then double charged for wings wr sent back because they were hard and not even hot. Overall, not going back out to an Applebees because to spend $175 for bad service I might as well cook at home. Im usually never displeased with servers outside but this was just ridiculous. She was unapologetic as were the rest of the staff.
I ordered in UberEATS . The food was HORRIBLE. The chicken strips were fried too long and were chewy . The top sirloin I ordered was suppose to be medium well : hint of pink and hot center but it was extremely DRY and overcooked..no hint of pink . I only enjoyed the mozzarella sticks because you cant go wrong with that.
The service speed was not very quick, but the server was good though. We were seated and then had to wait 10 minutes before anyone came to get our drink order. This way at roughly 10:00pm. The server came over once to say he needed to take care of this other table for 20 seconds, walked to the other table and spoke to them for like 2 seconds, then went to an empty table to clear it off. He didnt return for quite some time. This was before getting our drink order. It was very frustrating.Not sure if I will return to this particular Applebees again. Never had this kind of service in Bayside or LIC, Queens. Love those 2 locations.
Very poor hostess. Me an my family went there yesterday we had to wait at least 1hour to be seated, then we had to wait an next hour to be served.. the drink doesn’t look anything like it looks in the menu they didn’t even garnish the drinks , even the chicken sandwich we ordered didn’t look anything like it looks in the menu the sandwich came without any lettuce or pickle, they just put chicken an bread .. very poor service 😑
Very disappointed in the service, me and my Husband waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for our food and our waitress did not provide any type of explanation on why the food took so long and the food was not that great. The appetizer were way better than the food we ordered.
Waited an 1and half hours to get served. When the order came it was incorrect. But the worst part is my my mom ordered medium rare stake. Told her she would a new one instead of a new steak brought back the same stake that was reheated. My burger was reheated lettuce and all. Showed the manager he said he was bringing out another steak never did. Took off $20. What an insult. They dont deserve this one star.
I ordered the Mac n cheese with tenders because the menu is very limited. It didnt taste good at all. The noodles were hard and the white sauce didnt taste like cheese. The manager wouldnt clear it off my bill and I became extremely sick after eating it. Definitely food poison as its the next day and my stomach hurtssss. Shame on the manager and the waitress who said I know and didnt warn me then didnt get it taken off my bill. HORRIBLE!!!
Food was mediocre at best. Waited over 40 min for the food, for it to come out barely warm and very rubbery. My husbands plate was supposed to come with a side of breadsticks and a side salad and they never came. He asked for it twice and they finally brought it when they brought the check. Breadsticks were also cold and stale. We were a party of 5 and only the kids plates were warm.
Came here on a whim and was quickly seat but the waitress did not give us straws with our beverages nor did she ever come ask us how we were doing throughout the meal. My boyfriend and I both got sandwiches, impossible and the crispy chipotle chicken, and the burgers were OKAY but the fries were stale and cold. My bread was hard around the edges. We were done eating the sandwiches (did not finish the fries) and our waitress still did not come to the table. We will never come back here again.
We had to wait a little longer then expected to be seated, but Blanco our server made it worth while. He was pretty busy, bit he made it work and I was happy to have him as a server. Our wait to bee served was not long at all considering we the wait for a table was over an hour. The only thing i can recommend to anyone dinning at Applebees is to check the sodium content in any dish you choose. But other then that everyone was content with their meal. It made it worth while to make my niece and Goddaughters graduation celebration special. Thank you Blanco.
This place has gone to the dumps. Service is lacking, servers uninterested and hardly ever knows about what being served in this establishment. The sanitation specialist who often go on noticed are pretty cool and often helps out when the servers are no where to be found. The food is lacking advertising one thing and serving another with a poor excuse at that. Lets talk about a drink, which appears the bartender googled and has no clue how to concoct.
I’ve been to several Applebee’s and bar none,this is the worst one.Not sure what the overall issue is. Maybe lack of manager,inadequate staffing,moral,or all of thee above.They have a order pickup area on the side of the building were customers and delivery people pickups their orders all in the same spot.After ordering my food,I waited approx 1 hr in line to get my order. One woman in line complained of waiting in line in excess of 90 mins.Only 1 person(employee)was in charge of delegating and handing out orders. The restaurant was clearly inundated but the this young lady also could clearly care less.After making it to the front of the line,I wasn’t surprised to find out that my order was sitting to the side in a warning bag and had been for quite some time. My food was cold! The young lady had her arms folded as if she could care less that I waited that long for my food.Approx 15-20 customer were waiting in line,all angry and disgruntled at that point. Management could be seen through the window but avoided the issue all together.It was a Saturday afternoon. Idk maybe things are better here during the week.
I give you guys 3 Stars because of your false advertisement on your 6oz steak .. Lol it was the funniest thing today.... I order the streak along with my sister and whenthe food came we noticed that our 6oz steak was A little 2.2oz of dryed up steak yesssss yall 2.2oz it was burnt and dry... #ExtraWellWellDone .. but we are not one to complaint especially that It was super pack and there was only 1 waitress serving 6 tables so we push it aside and enjoyed the rest of our food which by the way was very delicious and Son where our Drinkssss #ShrimpsGarlicMashAndOnionRingsSo please can you advertise the correct info on your steak and thank you but I wont visit this location again... Lol #DryButItSoMadeMyDay
Have to edit my review.I went in today and I had 3 large fish bones in my fish and even found a bone in my mash potato.Its ok I politely informed my server she said she will talk to her manager and no response.I waited for 13 min exactly and I got mad when she came back and said you want something else.I just said let me pay my bill and I left.I normally enjoy Applebees food but this was horrible.I go to applebees every week at least once.
Wait time seemed unneccesarily long... goven the amount of empty sections observed upon entering...... service time was noticeably slow not the worse but could of been better. meals were ok.... found it funny that everytime they sang Happy birthday at a booth so many staff was avaible to sing.... then disappear and then your back to slow service time
Not sure what has changed with this location, but this aint it chief. My family and I had gotten really comfortable and content with this locations swift and accurate service via Doordash, since the pandemic took hold. But the last 2 experiences there have been the worst and highly disappointing.Perhaps management has changed or maybe on the last 2 days I ordered, the B squad was on deck. The customer service left a lot to be desired, which is absolutely unacceptable given the desperate need for restaurants to sustain good public relationships, if only to keep their business afloat. Someone needs to guide that staff about the importance of good customer service, not only for the moment but in developing a strong, professional identity.It is so off putting to hand over my credit card or cold hard cash to someone with a less than desirable personality.Usually the food would balance a situation that involves lackluster customer service, but when you encounter bad service AND your order is incorrect and cold to boot... smh... a 2 star review is warranted. As well as a pause in support.
This place shouldn’t even get a star, they should be shut down and hire new staff.Very rude when trying to get attention to pick up orders.I spoke to 2 managers and they both told me it’s the General Managers fault. Yet once I asked for their info they wouldn’t give it up. They have ToGo side always backed up, people waiting in cold or rain and just simply full of it. The girls they have working rather talk, flirt and work at slow pace than actually work. So don’t waste your time or money for this horrible, unprofessional service.
Terrible service took a terribly long time to take order. Then took even longer to get food. No one is at the door to greet you. So you walking and automatically wait with no guidance whatsoever. Three workers visible one is drinking at the bar and one is eating I guess she on lunch break. I leave to shop around and come back the girl says the food not done with an attitude as If I asked her. The girl that took my order (who is also the one with the attitude) seems like she cooking the food as long as it takes her to return from the kitchen. Just terrible Im still waiting for my food the process started after 6 late 6PM its not 8 PM so Im writing another review after I taste my damn food. N I usually dont do this but nah this was terrible.
I would like to start off by saying this was the most horrible experience Ive ever had at a restaurant, and im not one to complain about things. A friend and i was told we had to wait about an hour to eat, which wasnt a problem, so we gave our information to the lady at the front, and decided to look around the mall. We didnt get a notification, so my friend called them to make sure they took down the correct phone number, which they said it was correct. Almost 2 hours later and still no notification, we returned to the Applebees and was told they sent us a notification but we didnt repond on time so they took us off the list. We specifically told them we didnt get a call/text, nothing, and even though they couldnt show us proof they sent anything or called us, the lady told us we would still have to wait beyond the 2 hours weve already waited. We left and I decided to call to speak to some one else, and rhonda picked up the phone and said shes going to let me speak to the lady ive already spoken to because she is not a hostess, and then hung up the phone with me. woild like for someone that works there to explain to me, how this makes sense, and how this is okay? I am so frustrated and annoyed with this horrible customer service!
My son loves their mozzarella sticks & burgers. The food is pretty good. This location at Gateway Center just took longer for pickup. I waited in the cold for an extra 13 minutes because my food was not ready & only 1 person can go inside the pickup location at a time because of Covid. They overcooked my chicken as well & there was no broccoli with my meal. It still tasted good but it wasnt comes properly. I will give this location another chance but today wasnt a good experience.
Now I’m not one to leave reviews but I’m gona leave one. Food is good obviously, it’s a chain restaurant but the service is trash! The waitresses are rude as hell. I waited almost a hour to be seated (which is fine) and then got seated and still waited for 20 mins to get a waitress to attend us. We then got someone to talk to us, and still we waited for another 10-20 minutes before we even got a drink. And then the food was cold LOL. Like what? So yeah this place is not it. Go to a different Applebee’s.
This is a nice restaurant. They have a wide variety of dishes to choose from. Also, the food is awesome. I have been here a couple of times to purchase food (both to dine-in and to take out) and I cannot complain. The food was what I ordered and tasted delicious.The atmosphere is friendly and the staff members are great to deal with. They offer good service. Sometimes you might have to wait a bit for your food but that rarely happens. If it does, you can focus your mind on the various sports programs they air on the televisions.
We were celebrating my sons 16th birthday, with 4 of his football teammates. The waiter Blanco was very efficient. I watched in awe as he managed 3 six party tables outside, as well as tables inside and never missed a beat. Although there was an hour wait, Blanco made it well worth the wait and the food was great.
Long wait line but its expected given the current circumstances. My issue was my son getting his food before our appetizers arrived and before my husbands and I food arrived. Service couldve been better. Most staff members seemed to be uninterested in work. A few staff members were just gossiping in the entry way. Not sure if Id go back anytime soon.
This Applebee is very slow with Togo orders. You will be standing there for hours and wait for your order. If a drinks order take 30-45 mins much less a food order and the staff there are so rude and they do not acknowledge you waiting. Need to improve or no one will order.
I know this place gets a bad wrap but my one star is justified. The order on line and pick up service is HORRIBLE. There is no organization, rhyme or reason of the setup. You order on line and it gives you a time to pick up your food. However upon arrival you come to a little booth where social distancing cant be practiced. Then you are in the mix with delivery pick ups and people who want to order take out with only one person working all three. I wont blame the young lady entirely however she didnt want to do her job and I get it soooooooo many people ordered food, she was overwhelmed. I have a suggestion Gateway Applebees 🤔 get either a speaker or buzzer system this way you take the names and then call/buzz the recipient. Its a win win you all make too much money therer should be no reason a person has to wait 80 minutes for their food 🙄🙄🧐🧐
You need to teach your Cooks when they make burgers to drain the oil off the burgers before they put them on the buns. My burger with not okay the bun was drenched with oil so was the burger I had to take a whole bunch of tissue and soak up the oil from the burger and bread. Now my stomach hurts from the oil wont be eating at Applebees ever again.
As soon as we came in, the welcome wasnt appealing we had to call on the young ladies attention as she looked like if she was more focused on other things instead of the customers coming in. We waited over 35 min for our food from the entree to the meal. Mind you the place wasnt as busy as if it were the weekend. Short staff and even our waitress was overwhelmed. Our food was satisfying once we ate it. Service could have been better from the beginning till the end.
This place is Horrible, first of out table was DIRTY, the so called sanitation specialty does not do her job. I literally saw how she takes away the cups and plates and does not come back to wipe the tables, our waiter had to come and clean it for us. The food took over an hour to come, our server looked like she was lost in space. 4/10/21
I have never seen a more disrespectful staff in my life. The lady in the front that does seating and our waiter were absolutely nasty and horrible. The lady in the front was ignoring anyone who asked her a question! When it was time to pay the waitress was standing right next to me and looking at my paper for her tip. I left her a 12% tip for bad service and she was not happy about it and turned around right in front of us and started to complain to her other friend waitress. Discussing customer service. These people should not be allowed to work around customers. Also the food was poorly prepared compared to other Applebees. Never going back here again!!!
First time giving a review because this place definitely deserves one. Firstly, when I entered the building, the place smells like urine. Secondly, the hostess was very unwelcoming. She didnt smile, did not say hello and didnt even say to follow her to our table. She then brought us to a table that was not clean. One of the staff members came to wipe our table but it was still sticky. Lastly, the food took about half an hour to get to our table (which isnt too bad but not the best service). The only saving grace this place had, and why I gave it a two star instead of one, is that our waitress was very kind.
The quality and the service went down. It took 15-20 min for our server to place our orders. We got a spicy buffalo chicken. The food tasted horrible. It wasnt even spicy, and all you could taste is a salt. It took a while for our food to arrive. The server didnt clean our table after we finished appetizer. We had ask our server about 3 times to bring a check to us. In addition to everything we had to wait for a highchair for about 15 min. We were very disappointed with this place.
I’m disappointed. We ordered loaded mashed potatoes got regular garlic mashed potatoes. They charged me a dollar for a dozen double crunch shrimp they didn’t put them in the bag. Husband got the bourbon street chicken it was dried out. The garlic mashed taste like boxed mashed potatoes no garlic.
If I could give zero stars I would. Took my staff and some adults with disability here last night after a long day of shopping. We were seated after about ten minutes while they had to pull two tables together outside.30 minutes after seating Manager came and took our orders. Almost an hour later we watched the people who came in behind us exit as they had been served. Then our waiter proceed to bring out food to the people who had been seated beside us for about ten minutes. That was it for me and my team. How disrespectful when we never so much as got a cup of water. Spoke with the manager who honestly didnt do a good job of managing her team. Needless to say we were highly disappointed and left. Not a good look!!!!
The food was very nice. Price was moderate with the offers they have going on. Service was great. The downside is my bad experience he host took me and my girlfriend to a high seat table. When we saw booths were available right behind us, we requested to be seated there. At that point she said that that area was closed off. Wasnt reserved or anything like that, just closed off. When our entree arrived, I stood up to take my jacket off and I saw that she seated two other customers in the booth and the booth next to it. That was not right.
Be prepared to wait if youre going during this time. We waited over 1.5 hours to be seated indoors and out. Then they brought our appetizers with the main course as if that makes sense. The whole ordeal took over 2 hours before we actually start to eat. We were so annoyed. Go at your own risk.
Pros : The staff is very impressive. Workers are happy although it seems to be a high pressure environment . When the manager is called she shows up smiling but accountableFrom a business owners perspective this is a well oiled machine. With the feeling of a neighborhood bar that you belong to.Cons: the menu could use a make over.
The day we were there, there was a school visiting. Our server had those tables towards the front and we were in the back corner. She was so busy with those tables that she had no time for us. We waited more then a half hour just to get our drinks and then place orders. The food and appetizers came out all at once. There was no place to put plates. My salad had very little dressing, people wanted additional drinks but not one of the other servers ever glanced in our direction so we just gave up. Cant blame our server, she tried to get to our table she was just too busy. There was not enough staff working to handle the large group and the lunch time rush. Our server should not have been given our table and the group in the front
Serviced more like a number than a person. Entered 1 staff was helping others to seats another was fixing menus and not even acknowledging guests as they came in. She would be the first worker anybody sees when they come in. 1 star= No wait for tables. Dirty napkins were left on the table we were seated at. Menu was sticky inside. Waitress seemed to have a no care attitude (no smile barely saw her). 2 stars= Food came quickly. Tasted good. Bathroom was very dirty. Since they were not too busy or even if they are short staffed someone should be assigned to clean bathrooms, tables, etc ; perhaps the worker fixing the menus.
Worst experience ever ,waited 20 mins 2 be seat,then ordered,drinks and food,everyone else around us got there meal and almost finished,and they forget ours we had to remind them we were here and they said the cooks changed shift and forgot us,horrible ,never again,manager came and said he was backed up,not even comp for drink,dont waste your time.
Terrible service. I went there with my wife, son, and daughter. Applebees happens to be my sons favorite restaurant and it was his birthday. We waited only 1 minute to be seated but it took 20-30 minutes just to take our drink/appetizer order. That took another 10 minutes to come. Dinner arrived 15 minutes after. Still dont know my waitress name. She never asked if we were celebrating anything. We all were ready to go before dinner even came out. Maybe they were short staff that night but it was a terrible experience.
Worst customer service on the planet. Came in and was seated immediately... The waitress took our drink orders she didnt come back with our drinks until 45 min later not to mention I had three children along with us. She brought the drinks and forgot one so had to wait another 20 min... We ordered 4 appetizers and our main course was brought out before the appetizers and the kids food... We called for the manager and magically all of our food comes out all at once. All of our food was cold dry... The childrens food was the worst. we requested our bill and the waitress circled gratuity on the receipt... No Gratuity was given.
The place wasnt full for my wife which was almost 8 months pregnant and I to wait 15 minute outside and when it was out turn to go have a seat the place wasnt full there was alot of empty tables plus where we sat down it was dirty and dusty and the place smell like damp rug it stinks and to top it off the waitress was slow like she didnt know what she was doing and when I went to pay with a debit card she goes and take my card to take care of someone else instead of finishing with my payment first never going back there again.
Its been a year since the pandemic and they still have not gotten the online order/Doordash,etc pickup, walk-up order area together. No organization, no urgency, no nothing. I had to wait an hour to get food after pickup time. Dont waste your time unless you like frustration

The only thing warm on the plate was the mash potatoes. Appetizers cold and over saucy! 2022-04-05DO NOT EAT AT THIS LOCATION!!!A ROACH WAS IN MY DESSERT!Myself and my family waited patiently for over 45min while seated at the bar for desserts ONLY upon getting our desserts they were cold, mine was not sizzling as it should have been I asked for it to be sizzling once it came back it was a ROACH 🪳 inside . I am disgusted and sick to my stomach. Our waitress Victoria was pleasant but my experience was horrible. Avoid this location at all cost.

2022-01-15First off, remember your proof of covid vaccination; either online or paperwork. Travel with identification. I dont know what it is but the service and food has improved drastically. I was in the area working hard Christmas shopping and turn to 🍎 bees to replenish my system. The staff is respectful and experienced based on my second visit. The place is tidy, clean and staff is focused. Loved 😍 it! Always check the quality of the take out food before leaving.

2021-07-29Went here on a Wednesday evening and I have to say that it was a good day. The service was excellent and the place was clean. I was very happy overall with everything. I would definitely recommend anyone in the area to check this place out.
