Okay so I am currently eating dinner here and first the messaged up My appetizer. But okay it happens I just ended up getting it after the other people with me. Then I ordered for my meal a burger asked for it to have pink and with extra cheese. It was burnt so very well done and did not have extra cheese. Its like everything I asked for was ignored and that was after I was given the wrong appetizer first. This isnt rhe first time my meal has been messed up its happened the last 3 times I have eaten here. I would suggest dining elsewhere in Kingston
Food was great, the waiter was RUDE. she was nice overall, but to come to our table and state are we stuffed yet? I would have been stuffed after the first plate, was just plain RUDE. (my friend and I ordered 3 different appetizers to share and take home, as well as our meal, so there was a total of 5 plates on our table, none of which were even close to being cleared). She THEN came again and stated hoowwwww about now? Again...RUDE!! My friend became irritated by her and said, no, but when we are well pack it up, thank you. I feel comments like this should be avoided. Were trying to have a nice time with some good food, and she kept being rude interrupting with her sarcasm.
It took a long time to get servesd. I blame that on our age of technology. We only did apps which were very good. I see alot of people come here to drink,which is totally fine. But since my party of 3 wasnt I felt the attention was more on those that were. Its ok. I dont frequent often, so I cant really bad mouth any of it. The young lady who eventually took our order was very sweet
Had lunch. Got a burger and was offered 5 boneless wings for a $1 and took the offer. Got my food to go and when in the car realized there were no fries. Walked in and immediately was asked what was wrong snd had it taken care of. Burger was excellent. Wings good. Fries nice and hot. It was a great lunch.. could not finish it.
When we first got seated, no waiter or waitresses came over until Annette stopped. Her shift was almost over and was told not to take any more tables but she jumped in when she saw no one coming. About 10 minutes later, the water that was supposed to serve us showed up. We told him we already had a waitresses. Then he continued to the back. Annette continued to serve, clean tables, and help everyone. Meanwhile 5 young employees just sat there talking by the hostee table refusing to help. If it werent for Annette, I would have walked out.
Well, i have to say that Applebees food and dishes are getting worse. When most dinners gowing towards more healthier foods with more green stuff i was surprised when my chicken with shrimps was swimming in oil. Also the portions seems smaller than used to be and their menu is not impressive anymore.
I order from Applebees on occasion through doordash. The dasher is always on time with their service. However, on multiple occasions, this location has given us old fries, incorrect order, or just not had the order ready for our dasher at all where they had to wait 15 additional minutes. I called an spoke with the manager on one occasion due to the appearance and taste of the food and its apparent its still happening. Hopefully someone can get this location in order because its a great place.
The food was delicious. Staff was friendly and attentive. We had to wear a mask except for when youre at your table and had to exit out the side door, not the door we entered so they did social distancing and the waitress had her mask on. It was just nice to finally dine out again.
This is the second time in the last month that my family has ordered delivery through Doordash.The first time, they forgot an appetizer and it took about half an hour on the phone for a refund.This time, they forgot an entree. When I called, I was out on hold for five minutes, then told that no one was available to handle the situation and I’d receive a phone call the next day.There was no offer to simply refund the meal. Not only that, but the food we did receive was ice cold and chewy, as if we got the leftovers that had been sitting in the counter.The customer service is severely lacking at this restaurant.
Would love to give them a food review, but they couldnt figure out how to sit the 4 of us. Took us to the lower floor..great QuickDraw...then they decide to not sit us. But what if I want to sit here....responded with a confused laugh....so I left. 99 wins today. Server is going to get a 30% tip @99.
Not usually a big fan of chain restaurants, but my wife loves this place. To be honest its usually pretty good when she drags me there. The wait staff is very polite and quick. Its a very friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Not my first pick for going out to eat, but definitely not a bad one either.
Got my pick up order 25 minutes after it was scheduled to be ready, only to receive a cold beef patty and stale fries and to “be told sorry it just came up on the screen” whatever that means. Food service workers work very hard. But not being able to serve a simple burger and fries is honestly pathetic.
This place needs new management. Theres 15 people working but can never seem to get anyones attention. The manager walked by me as he coughed (and it was a nasty cough) without covering his mouth. I end up waiting more than anything else. The food just isnt worth the hassle of even walking in this place. There are better options in Kingston.
My grandson chose Applebee’s for his birthday dinner. He’s 6. We arrived around 6pm. It wasn’t really crowded but we waited almost 20 minutes for the waitress so we could order. Then it took almost 40 minutes for the food to arrive. We were in a corner booth and it smelled like dirty socks.Other than those issues, the burger was good and the staff was really upbeat when they brought my grandson his ice cream with the candle it. My grandson loved it.
Seated fast on a Saturday that’s a plus. The food came quick and was great no complaints. The staff at this store makes it a even better environment to dine in with how they are happy to help you I have been places to eat and ask for something and have to wait 30 minutes just to get it but the employees here are on it within seconds and not only the person who is serving you helps everybody that works here doesn’t mind to interact with you just to make sure you are enjoying the meal.
There was no door host, we waited 10 minutes to be seated. Then continued to wait for a waitress, and we probably would have had better service if I waited on my own table. I was never offered a promotional/season beverage by Maria. I was supposed to have a mucho margarita when I ended up with a beer glass. I ordered a medium steak, which was so over cooked probably could have made a pair of leather shoes out of it. My drink glass remained empty the rest of the evening. It still remained empty even after complaining that it was empty. The table that had the same server next to us did make out to well either. To top it off the waitress, Maria, decided she was going to be slick and drop the receipt in the table and say I hope your evening is as nice as you are and ran. Because of this I was forced to pay with cash because the tablet on the table didn’t work and clearly she wasn’t going to help us use a card. Honestly this is probably the worst server I have ever had.
My girlfriend and I had gone here after a long day of hiking, only to receive barely any service, being completely ignored by the waitress and waiting to get things I had asked for and having her never return...had to speak to manager and he wasnt any better. Wouldnt recommend
Horrible service. Horrible food. Prices are high and proportions are small. Our waitress stood around and talked with other waiters while managing to forget drinks we ordered, napkins for the wings, and the sour cream that never came with my meal. She took for ever to respond to us. It took almost 3 hours on a slow day with 9 waiters before we finished our meal. The manager argued with us about how the nature of my mothers over salted, grease soaked, grilled chicken and potato wedges was naturally a greasy meal. It was absurd. That was not our only bad experience. Ive had steaks ruined and taken back to the kitchen and served to me the same. STEER CLEAR AWAY FROM THIS APPLEBEES!
The steak was almost burnt and to dry . The waitress said that she put in another steak order in how do I want it cooked I said medium well . Well when I finished my mashed potatoes and green beans she came back to pick up my plate I told her I didnt get my steak yet she said she go get it I said that never mind I dont want it now she said no Im gonna go get so I can take it home .whe I got home and took a look at it it looked the same as the first one burnt. Top that off we had to wait to come in the building like 25 minutes because they were at full compastity. And the waitress that served us was acting like if she had been drinking alcohol. Service was to slow and really bad .
Our food wasnt served like it was ordered. The drinks were excellent. The restaurant was clean. The wait staff took forever to come back around. The staff stood around and the manager couldnt face me to apologise for his staff but he did discount the bill. This restaurant needs serious Management help.
Very unfortunate because applebees would be good if it wasnt for the bartender (Jessica)who is very rude unpersonable and acts like youre bothering her when you order something and talked about customers right in front of other customers.If this place wants to succeed on the bar side they need to find a new bartender.
6/7:19 went to this Applebee’s in Kingston waited long for drinks 1st and last. Always had good service is it over. Lots of business going on in bathroom between kitchen help and patrons at bar. Bartender disappeared several times. Manager spent more time covering for his very week staff that he couldn’t recognize the issues they have sad. Food was so slow had to bring my diner home
It was definitely an ordeal took 30 minutes to get our food staff was confused told them my name for the order they never came back after 30 minutes my husband went in and it took 10 minutes to figure out where our food was! Food was cold because it sat for 30 minutes.
Good food at reasonable prices. 2 for 1 well drinks is a good special but they do have a somewhat watered down taste to them. Great place for a meal with the family without braking the bank. Wait staff is gamble, sometimes you have a great server and other times they are horrible. Luck of the draw I guess. Overall if youre looking for a place to eat with the kids or the family thats laid back and decent prices I would recommend Applebees
Curb side pick up. The server was lovely. There was a mixup with the wine. My dinner was horrible; the 6 oz petite sirloin was over cooked and it was actually closer to about 2 and a half ounces. The green beans were greasy and undercooked. The potatoes were mediocre. Times are challenging , but we wont go back. We used to have family night out in Kingston at least once a month . not any more. Really a dissapointment.
We got there and waited for at least 5 mintues before anyone would seat us. When the girl finally decided to seat us, she walked so slow like we were an inconvenience.. Then when we finally got seated, no one came to take our order. We waited at least 10 to 15 minutes so me & my girlfriend just left. Definitely not going back. Only reason its getting one star is because I cant give it none..
Went to this Applebees tonight. My husband is a veteran and wanted to try it. Big mistake! We will never be going to this Applebees again. The 2 people who greeted us were wonderful - respectful, friendly, genuinely nice. The waitress we had took our order and we never saw her again. Some guy with no personality brought our food, and mumbled at us as to who ordered what, then had to come back with knives, forks and napkins. When we were finished, we waited 30 minutes for the bill (yes, we timed it)! When it finally did come, there was a charge on it for a game we DID NOT play. My husband went to speak to the manager with no satisfaction whatsoever. The waitress said she had been on break - my husband told her it was not her fault, the manager should have made sure her customers were taken care of while she was on break. The manager was not at all respectful and not very sincere when he said he was sorry.....Good place to go if you dont care how youre treated, otherwise, avoid at all costs.....
It was extremely busy but the servers kept their cool ! We were given our meals pretty quickly and everything was hot and especially good. We had our grandson with us and our waitress was terrific with him ! All in all it was a very nice experience and well visit Applebees again soon
I keep hoping this place will get its staff together, As my husband and I have yet to visit there and have a truly positive experience all around. If its not a problem with a server who is not sober then it is a problem with a server who doesnt know how to keep their mouths shut and or be professional. Meal was decent, a lil long of a wait for entree but would have been excellent if our server hadnt put her foot in her mouth and truly shown the level of her ignorance.
Waitress we had was awful and she acted impaired. She was sticking her hands in her mouth frequently and she repeatedly asked about clarification on our order then she still got it wrong. She was bizarre and made us uncomfortable. It took a very long time to get our food and then when we got it it was very substandard and not very hot. I do not recommend going here.
Great service..food was fair...almost fell down because their carpets were cleaned and were still wet and I almost slipped on the tiles walking from the table to the bar. But it was a better experience then my last visit in Poughkeepsie. This is probably the last time Im going to go to any Applebees.
The food was the worst we ever had. The shrimp was not cooked, sent it back & it came back raw. The steak was awful, not cooked properly, the bbq on the chicken was terrible, the chicken quesadilla had only 1 piece of chicken in it. The manager said she would do something about it but never came back to our table. Will never return & tell everyone we know not to eat at Applebees. They sound be ashamed of themselves and close the doors.
So service was terrable we got two of three meals and sat there for an hr and a half. Will never go back there again. Waitress forgot to put the third meal in the system. Then had to wait for our check to be taken and give us the rest of the money back we were owed.waited for 10 to 20 mins to try to get a devil on my drink waitress never came around and wasnt busy at that time. Then waitress never asked if I needed a box seeing I still had good left as well.
I went to this restaurant with my husband and dad last night. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing. The food, however, was almost indescribably terrible. My father ordered a steak which was swarming in grease. It came with some kind of roasted potato which was coated with some kind of cheese and were completely inedible, as was a ridiculous hunk of iceberg lettuce with green goddess dressing , also inedible. My husbands meal contained so much grease that it floated all over the plate. I had the grilled shrimp, which turned out to be the little tiny shrimp that tasted boiled, not grilled and didnt see any cilantro, which was to be a major flavoring in this dish.Gordon Ramsey would probably run in the other direction when he tasted the food.What a terrible disappointment and to hear my dad, who is not at all picky about food, comment on the disaster he was served, I feel that people need to know what they are going to pay for.
PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE COMING !Yesterday, I visited this restaurant and today I left the hospital with confirmed food poisoning. I went in to make a complaint and spoke with an employee who informed me that the other day, a broil cook was fired for throwing away expired food against Dan Savoca’s orders. Dan Savoca is the store manager and I thought that management was supposed to make sure that food is fresh and always served according to Applebee’s specifications. I will never be eating at any Applebee’s location ever again and I suggest that if the fired employee is reading is, that he/she file a complaint to HR if they haven’t already and inform the Department of Consumer Affairs like I will in the morning.
My husband and I have had the worse service here then any other restaurant. And it wasnt the first time.The waitress didnt check on us our order was wrong again and she never brought our check out to us or even ask if we wanted dessertLucky they had the pay station on the table and I was anle to pay the check and leave
Our food was, to put it kindly, only fit for human consumption at the bare minimum of the legal definition. Lettuce was brown, wilted, and moldy. Asked the waitress if there was bacon or pork product in the mac and cheese and she assured no, there wasnt- and of course, there was. Managed to convince myself that the hair I found in the mac and cheese was my own, but who actually knows.
Lets see first off ordered a gin and tonic soda was flat second of all the broccoli that was steamed taste like chlorine steak was raw done that my friend had and it was supposed to be medium left my phone there and got hollered at when I left I have a feeling they might be going out of business soon
Went there last night for dinner. We just order a few different appetizers. One of the appetizers we order (which my husband was really looking forward to) was the double crunch bone in wings. When our food was brought out they brought the wrong wings. We brought this to our servers attention and she was kind and said she would get the correct wings. By the time the correct wings came out we were finished eating so they put them in a to go container. However the next day my husband again looking forward to them,Wanted them for lunch AND AGAIN they are the wrong wings and he cant eat them. So I dont know whats going on in that kitchen but they need to get their act together
Went on a Saturday late PM. Very few people there but service extremely slow. Took over 40 min for food to come out. Then the meal wasnt complete, the waitress did tell us the rest would be out soon. Not sure what soon is but we were all done by the time it came out.
I’ve been going back and forth with this review but I decided I should do it.I was eating at the bar yesterday when an argument happened between two patrons. A young couple were asked to move from their seats by a guest so her friends can sit in the couple’s seats. The young lady who was asked to move said no they won’t move. The other lady kept talking to the young lady and her boyfriend and the next thing I heard was from the young lady “No bleep you’re rude!” And then they lady called the young lady in the couple a “bleep”. The young lady then replied “bleep I should spit on you”. The young lady’s boyfriend calmed her down and went outside. The other lady kept antagonizing the young lady so the young lady raised her voice to tell her to leave her alone. As the young lady was speaking to the rude guest another guest who was a male got involved and started yelling at the young lady who was now alone with no man to defend her.The young lady told that guest to mind his business he has no idea what is going on and to eat his food. He continued to yell at her until her boyfriend returned. She yelled back at him. Then the manager who said his name was Dan got involved and berated the young lady that was defending herself against the people who were attacking her. She did make threats and ended up leaving. when she left the manager Dan, the waitresses and bartender all spoke badly about the young lady when she left. The bartender stated that she called before coming to make sure she would get good service since she was there previously and had bad service but wanted to give it a second chance. They continued to speak about the young lady.During the arguing the young lady stated where she worked which was close so on my way home I decided to stop by the young lady’s job to make sure she was ok. She stated she was and that she called corporate. I told her about what happened when she left and she explained to me her bad experience on Monday. She ordered food and waited a very long time only to see people who were sat 15-20 minutes after her getting their food, she asked the waitress what was going on and the waitress told her they messed up her order and were remaking it which inconvenienced her since she was on a lunch break and had to get back to her clients. She sat for almost an hour without any food. She said she believes in 2cd chances and the bartender assured her that she will have a good experience this time. She stated she did until the incident. She also informed me that she called the Applebee’s and was hung up on by Dan 3 times for asking for the number to corporate.I gave her my information and let her know that I am a witness if they need me.I will no longer go to this Applebee’s and I will also be writing about my experience on my local ulster county blog and asking my readers as well as my Facebook followers to no longer support this Applebee’s. The manager Dan is NOT a manager! He does NOT need to be working with the public. The way he contributed to talk badly and say things I cannot say her about the young lady is completely inappropriate. I feel bad I did not stick up for the young lady.My blog get over 1.2 million views a month. My Facebook has over 350k followers. I will be sure they all know about this.Please take care of the staff, train them how to diffuse a situation better.If you are the owner and would like to meet with me or speak with me to hear what was said about the young lady when she left please reply here. I will speak to you. I’m her witness and if she does take it further as she stated she will then I will be her witness there as well.Please respect the people in your community. The young lady has a professional career and was not what they stated she was. She was very pleasant when I spoke with her. Shaken up that men would talk to a woman the way they did. I was also. Food delivered did not match the menu, menu stated shredded beef nachos then they deliver ground beef, when I mentioned it the attendant pulled out another menu and said you have an old menu do they do this to everyone?I returned for a second visit six months later, ‘did not order any food and it was flawless.
We dont eat here very often. We ordered curbside to go: two burger meals and a chicken tender meal. On our 2 burger orders we ordered letucce, tomato and pickles. Discovered when we got home no letucce, tomatoes or pickles. We live 10 min away fries were cold. We wont be back. Would have been better off going to McDonalds.
Ok food, good drink special horrible staff. My friend and her wallet stolen there They checked cameras said she left it in bathroom when she never went to the bathroom but when the police came camera wasnt able to be seen. Must have been taken by staff. Staff is already slower than anything. I only go here if Im going to bar for only drinks.
Food was awful and service was worse. I asked the waiter four times to bring my mom a water and it never came. The place wasnt even busy. They also forgot my wifes sidr order but still put it on the bill. When i asked them to remove it from the bill, they made me wait for them to cook it. Then when i got home i noticed they never counted our coupon towards the bill which was the only reason qe went in the first place.
The food was so bad I couldnt make myself eat it. The manager even said the food was pre made and packaged. Even after being offered other food, I didnt want to eat it. I think I have learned my lesson. I dont think I will be going to any Applebees anytime soon. Hopefully I wont experience a lapse of judgement again and end up going back.
Worst experience ever. We went there a while ago, and had a time the too. Wanted to go out as a family, and we had slow service, our food was cooked wrong, there was more fat on the steaks than there was steak. Also we didn’t get the juice for our sons meal that came with it. Wouldn’t recommend and will not return.
This was my first visit to any applebees and while my expectations were not high I was happily impressed. I mean, it isn’t great but considering that I have paid more for much worse I can’t be left with a bad impression. Open late. Dollaritas. Dinner specials. The regulars were amusing, but not for the reasons they would hope to be. I heard Carrot Top works at an applebees but not this one. I asked.
Like there 1.00 hurricanes but a bit toooo sweet and not enough booze in it they onky allow you to get 3 and if you want an extra shot in it not only do you have to pay an extra dollar for it but they count it as your second drink so if you got an actual second drink (third) you couldnt even buy the extra shot for it

2021-09-27This place is disgusting, our waitress was super rude. They forgot one of our meals and one of our appetizers. My food was cold. If you are looking to go here I wouldn’t. This place has gone completely downhill. Everyone else there had trouble too.

2022-01-29If I could give 0 stars I would. Applebees has gone down hill, ordered online was there at pick up time, waited an additional 20 minutes before anyone made contact. There were two workers outside in the front smoking pot, how classy! I understand its legal but come on right in the open, that stuff smells terrible. Will never go there again...

2022-03-03I ordered the prime rib dip with the fries, it was delicious, and filling. The Strawberry Lemonade is a bit on the sweet side but the best I ever had. So there was no room for dessert lol. And our waitress Colleen was the best!!!

2022-04-02The waitress that served me was very pleasant. I have no complaints with the service. What bother me is they advertise for a limited time $8.99 bowl specials. But, when you place the order and get the bill that 8.99 bowl is more like $12.99. This is a switch and bait sale. Applebee lures you in knowing you will one will not leave especially meeting friends. I ordered the taco chicken bowl which would have been better if they gave you a salad dressing or sour cream. The dish was spicy but dry. The music was good but it could have been softer. I felt Applebee could use a clean fresher look.

2022-04-29Used to love this place....this past visit...disappointed. Tables were dirty, smelled of old spilled beer on the carpets, food was so-so with only 4 onion rings on my burger plate when before Id get a nice serving of them. Only thing going was the service. Will try again in a few months.....hopefully it will get better and back to 4-5 stars....

2022-05-10Ordered ahead and picked up. Arrived at the time it said and had to wait an extra 15 mins for it to be ready. Walked in to pick up my order, gave the hostess my name and she went to check on my order. She came back and didnt say a word to me, just helped the next customers. I had to ask her again about my order. Told her I still needed to pay and asked who I should pay and she just ignored me. If you order ahead for pickup just know youre going to wait longer then it says, its happened to me everytime so far.

2022-03-21Food ready quickly, comfortable seating, sometimes takes longer to be seated when busier (mostly during summer.) Staff is friendly and have never had any issues when dining in. Food is always hot and issues with changes to orders are extremely rare.

2021-04-03Hey guys. So here I am with another review on another restaurant and updating my review on applebees bar-and-grill. What can I say nothing but perfection from the moment we entered the hostess greeted us completely and seated us right away um while we were looking at the menus the bartender Danielle. Notice me right away and asked me if I wanted my usual Bahama mama thank you Danielle for the cherries you know I love them so much. Nothing but 5 star perfection this time around. The manager of the restaurant came over to greet me and we had quite the conversation while we were waiting for our food and beverages. I have absolutely no negatives to say tonight about the restaurant it was absolutely perfect. Thank you guys for such a wonderful evening keep up the good work and keep it real.SincerelyThe Real Deal 12401😀👍
