I loooooved this restaurant so much the first time I went, that I came back the weekend after! Their Bottarga Spaghetti is simply amazing. Aside from their delicious fresh pastas, their wine list is crazy and the service is on point. They were also nice enough to make us an affogato at our request even though its not on the menu (ask for the chocolate hazelnut gelato!)
I came for the $21 lunch menu, and had minestrone and the gnocchi. I had to add quite a bit of salt to the minestrone for my tastes - but it was clearly good high quality minestrone. Ill probably try something else next time just to diversify, but once the weather cools off more and I crave soup I know how much salt to add now. The gnocchi.... Delicious!! Easily the best Ive had - Id all but given up on gnocchi because I just havent been too thrilled with it anywhere else Ive tried it, but Ill definitely get it again at Arco! I finished up with a pound of the fresh spaghetti noodles to go, which we used at home and - surprisingly - even my kids loved them! Arco is a little more pricey than what Id typically go for, but I look forward to coming back on occasion!
Excellent restaurant that feels like home. We’ve gone three weekends in a row. Can’t stay away! Menu is varied and well planned. We’ve had the fish, the ragu, the carbonara and of course the bread is worth the visit in itself. We also stop in to buy fresh pasta for home. Incredible. Thankful they made it through 2020!
Thank you from the heart Arco Café for a lovely night and a great meal. We were moving our son and daughter in law to New York and discovered you are just around the corner. So happy for Francesca and her family what they have created here. The food was first class, the service personal. We loved everything we ordered. Gnocchi alla Montanara, Seafood pasta, Burrata e Prosciutto, Culurgiones Bolognese Sauce, Branzino, Torta Ricotta e Pistacchio, Sebada, Keep rockin!
The service was excellent. It was a Friday night and every table was full. The food was delicious. My friend loved the Minestrone and my Mediterranean Salad was fresh. I had the Fregola. Its a round roasted pasta with mussels and baby octopus in a tomato broth (more of a sauce). Really good and unique.Small wine list but some good choices. Looking forward to trying more options.
Truly one of the best, freshest handmade pastas I have had in the city. Easily the best takeout order I have ever ordered. The food arrived unbelievably piping hot. I ordered the Pellizzas al Ragu di Manzo e Maiale and Mediterranea salad which were both delicious and the rosemary bread was perfect. 10/10 would recommend and will order again.
We went back to Arco, long a family-run local favorite, shortly after indoor dining was allowed again. It was great as always — food, service, atmosphere — and reassuring with all the safety measures in place, including distanced tables. Can’t beat the fresh pasta, spun out right there in the front window, and the handmade sauces. Try the Brussels sprout salad to go along. NYC is coming back.
I am a native sardinian and this place feels like home to me. Authentic sardinian dishes, great location and friendly service. I particularly recommend their homemade malloreddus and culurgionis. You can also find seadas, the traditional sardinian dessert, and many other great dishes!
When arrived I was suspicious, the menu has misspellings and the candles are fake (in my experience these are bad signals). The olive oil and balsamic vinegar they give with the house bread are very bad. The main dishes are not too bad, the potato gnocchi is okay and the tomato based sauces are good.Very nice service in general, Id give them a second chance.
Hi! Ive been to Arco several times and I feel like I am in a Italian / Mediterranean hideout. They have great food, affordable prices, I encourage you to go for lunch! The staff is sweet and aims to make me and my guests feel comfortable...in this day and age, thats rare. So, I truly appreciate it :)
When you walk in to an Italian restaurant in this day and age and hear Italian actually being spoken, you know youre in the right place. This nice woman that greeted us so warmly owns and works this restaurant. She is so nice and welcoming. The food is superb and not expensive. The gnocchi are homemade and are the best Ive ever had.The seafood dishes are so fresh and the Sardegnian bread was amazing.I will always go back to this little jewel and will be sure to tell everyone I know to go too.....Great meal and atmospherd for the money
Come here often. Recently had my fathers 80th birthday party there. Ive had most things on the menu. Never had a bad experience or meal. I recommend the calvitali with broccoli rabe and sausage. The olive oil cake is amazing. This is a great little spot with lovely people that own and run it.
Ordered through Seamless. Food took waaaaaaay longer than it should have. I called to complain, they apologized. A few mins later, my food arrived - they sent a woman who must’ve been either a manager or waitress. I really appreciated that gesture - they were backed up and went out of their way for me. Great food and nice people (much nicer than I was on the phone - sorry about that). Thank you! Will order again.
Came here only because of good reviews. What I got? Completely blank and tasteless pasta. They asked if I want cheese. Do you have any idea how much cheese you need to put?It shouldnt be just a decoration. I wasnt even were able to tell what kind of cheese it was. Glass for water was dirty. I am waiting for my espresso and desert for 20 minutes already. No tiramisu. Seriously? Are you italian food restaurant? Desert was good, espresso and vine also. Only because of that second star.
I come from Sardinia and I can say this is a real Sardinian restaurant. The food is very good, the owners very hospitable and nice, and the location is cozy. For me it was a place where to go when I felt homesick; it gives a chance to taste delicious Sardinian food without traveling!A menzus biede cun salude! :-)
My friends, Robert and Leslie took me to Arco just a few days ago, hoping I would love it. They were right! I have been at Arco 3 days running; two dinners and a lunch, once with my two friends, lunch with a fellow photographer (mlle) from Paris and tonight, by mysef. All these events were a success! Good, quiet service, friendly and the food was very good. The dinner special on the first night was Special! Grilled calamari and accompaniments was first rate. The grilled salmon was as ordered. For lunch the next day I tried the mussel stew and was not disappointed. Tonight I dined alone, had a nice conversation with your representative from Israel. she guided me to an Italian beer on tap to go with the grilled baby octopus. Spicy and delicious. She happily permitted me to sample a few white wines before I chose the Friuli to go with my order of pasta with clams. And I liked it so much I requested a doggy bag for later.A perfect, strong cappucino ended the meal and I left, a happy (old) puppy!Do not be surprised if you see me there soon, for more Arco goodies!Len
Tasty vegan marshmallows, smores and other goodies. A while back I had purchased a Groupon that could only be redeemed through the website or at their factory in Long Island City (you have to order in advance by phone). I opted for the factory pick-up. When I got there, I was greeted by Sara herself and she truly could not have been nicer. We spent quite a bit of time chatting, then she gave me my order and a few complimentary pieces of her biscotti. When you find a product you like, its even better when you find that you like the person who makes it.Whether youre vegan or otherwise, Sweet & Sara makes delicious stuff.
Andate a New York ? Non potete fare a meno di cenare ad Arco Cafe. Cibi gustosi e ottimo vino vi faranno passare una serata indimenticabile . 5 stelle per Arco Cafe! Are you going to New York? Well you cannot miss Arco cafe then! A delicious typical Sardinian menu with selected wine from this beautiful island will make your evening a special event. This little restaurant is decorated with charm and taste. Service is impeccable, food is homemade cuisine with fresh pasta that taste as it should taste real Italian pasta. Its truly good stuff!!. The two brothers Francesca and Daniele willMake you feel at home.
Very nice restaurant right in front of the Hi NY city hostel in the upper west where you can enjoy a delicious dinner with homemade dishes from Italy. I ate some noodles with carbonara and a delicious glass of wine for 38 uss. I will come back when I go to New York again and I stay in that hostel, without hesitation!
I ate in Arco on my first visit to New York City in 2019.Two years later I returned to the United States and it was my very first stop! The food is exquisite, every time I eat in this place it feels like home (in Italy), not to mention the Sardinian specialties they really deserve.Everything is fresh and genuine, as well as homemade by them. The staff are friendly, warm and super nice. The restaurant is impeccably clean and is strategically located for visiting Manhattan. The prices are low due to the very high quality of the food and the staff.A real guarantee. One of my favorite places ever!
Restaurant of Italian cuisine and in particular with foods from Sardinia, easily accessible by metro (located between two stops) a stones throw from Central Park.Quiet environment, attentive service, unobtrusive music, no TV (how nice !!), I absolutely recommend a stop for lunch where you can sit at a clean and quiet table and choose from a varied menu of dishes at a cost of only 13/14 dollars , in my opinion the best value for money for a lunch in the city, excellent homemade pasta. At dinner the menu is less cheap but still largely in line with NY prices, while still maintaining excellent value for money. There is also a good choice of wines, a must for anyone who needs a true Italian meal that is not camouflaged. in conclusion absolutely recommended.
A nice place, quiet, with Italian food and particularly well cooked Sardinian, discreet and unobtrusive service, average prices for NY but that become convenient in relation to the quality of the dishes served. Absolutely competitive the lunch menu from Monday to Friday, you risk paying a more than decent meal less than a sandwich maybe eaten in a hurry after you queue to order it. Believe me its not easy to find a place in Manhattan where you can sit down and eat a meal with $ 12 or so, and its easy to reach by metro, being just a short distance from two stops on two different lines. It is worth moving from anywhere in the city. Recommended
All the working people are very friendly, and the Italian cuisine is delicious~~~I went to famous burgers, pizzas, steaks, etc. throughout my trip, but there is no place as comfortable, friendly and delicious as this place. If you are staying nearby, I recommend you to visit it.

2021-08-03Incredibly real Italian food restaurant. When a restaurant is run by its owners, it shows. The service was great. They were making fresh pasta right there. You can tell a restaurant is top notch when you kids buttered noodles are out of the world. I toss noodles in butter and dont get anything close to what he had. My Fregola Mare e Monti had three humongous shrimp. The gnocchi were light, pillow-y and delicious. The pasta with mushrooms and cream tasted like mushroom and cream. We had the Sebada for dessert, which was a perfect savory-sweet balance. Will be definitively coming back for more.

2022-02-22Thank you, owner and chef, for giving us a taste of Sardinia in Noe Valley. Ive never had Sardinian food before, but its quite incredible. Very fresh, very healthy. What a nice surprise! Great food, pleasant atmosphere, reasonable prices. This is why I love NY: finding a neighborhood gem at which you simply want to try everything.Came as hungry as a bear after winter. Left as plump as an IT worker after Diwali. I highly recommend Arco Cafe.

2022-02-06From the moment we walked in, I knew this place was special. Very warm vibe from the owners and staff and lots of happy customers enjoying their dinners. My boyfriend reserved our table for my birthday because we are planning a trip to Sardinia. What better way to get a taste of our trip beforehand. I still cant believe we got in on relatively short notice (a few weeks) on a Thursday night. And Arco Cafe did not disappoint.

2022-02-04The food here is incredible. I came here with my parents and there were plenty of outdoor seating options. We enjoyed a bottle of wine and many courses centered around seafood and pasta. The gnocchi and the salmon were spectacular.

2022-02-22AMAZING!!! I came from Vallejo just to try this restaurant. I was not disappointed one bit. The food is fresh and very well prepared. You MUST order the zupetta!!! The gnocchi was insanely good! The chef gave me an anchovy on top of a dollop of ricotta with toasted almonds, which blew my mind. I ordered Sardinian beer which punctuated the meal very nicely.

2022-02-14A beautiful dining experience.Arco Cafe might be my favorite Italian restaurant in NY. One of the best things about it is that they serve regional Sardinian cuisine, meaning you will get a chance to try a lot of unique dishes you might not have previously encountered.
