This park is great especially in the summer! This park has a little playground by the front of it and if you continue youll see a mini waterfall people go there to take pictures and theres houses and a bunch of other stuff its a nice place for a work or to take your toddler on a stroll dont go here for picnics much better options. Also this place is good for Pokemon go!
A pretty place to take a break and a walk (even in the rain!). Babylon is a lovely, south shore town, with places to walk, watch and eat. Today’s fair was Rainer our, but still a nice and scenic walk. Allow 30 minutes, and figure you will park somewhere, probably not as close as you like though.
I love going here! Its a lovely place to walk or ride your bicycle around the lake. If you are a Pokémon Go player Its a great place. There are Poké stops all around the lake and several gyms to battle in. For 5 star and Mega Raids Its a great place to go, there are almost always other people to help win the raids.
Every time I step my feet at this lovely Park, my soul,my heart turns into a bliss. Usually I got here in the late afternoon and keep my self smiling with joy , greeting people meeting with dogs aground this beautiful Lake. Come over if you never been here ,I am sure you will come back over and over . here I want to share some pictuess
Beautiful park and a great place to walk dogs. Some places were a bit overrun with geese and duck poo but that is to be expected. Had beautiful swans swimming in the pond and there is a little kids playground there. Also a great place to play Pokemon Go as there are lots of PokeStops and Gyms there.
Such an awesome spot on Earth for for anything that you would want to do at any park anywhere. The waterfalls and marble staircases are are gorgeous pictures waiting to happen.Family picnicJust a walk aloneBird watchingPhotographyA beautiful spot that I highly recommend.
Been going to this park ever since I was a kid. The waterfalls are a decently good spot for weddings or some wedding photos. Theres A decent 360 degree track that rings a nice size lake and A tiny playground for the kids in the front of the park. Thats pretty much it. An Overall nice park though. DONT FEED THE DUCKS !
Except for the geese this is one of my favorite places. There are a couple different options to choose for walking paths All of them surround links bugs arent a major issue. Pets are welcome. Theres a little construction right now but it shouldnt be long and itll be back to normal but even during the construction you can walk.
My 18 month old had fun. It was unfortunate that there were alot of parents there that were not paying any attention to their kids and tag made it unsafe for my daughter. It happens alot so it wasnt unexpected. She still had lots of fun walking around and playing in the sand.
Nice park. Went with a fair going on. But so much poor planning. They put vendors on a path backed with water making it very hard to wall. Vendors were spaced out so the main area had no paths. Walking with a stroller or wheelchair was near impossible. Mud holes in the low spots should of been filled before the fair. Last some guy in a t-shirt directing traffic with no training in front of the park just made traffic worse. He kept fighting the traffic light they could of had turned off and he would stop cars on a green but bc he had no flag, no bight colored vest no nothing, he would walk out in front of cars just waving his hands. I didnt even know he was part of the park until he sat in a parks car parked in the road to help male male traffic jam.
Very beautiful and detailed environment! Had a wonderful experience with my family as we walked around the lake several times, enjoying the breeze, water and animals! Highly recommended POV. After you take a stroll around the lake doing activities from walking, biking and or fishing, you can walk around the village and find yourself a place to eat, such as pizza and or ice cream!
Beautiful park with a lot of lake side real estate. A great place to not only take wedding pictures, but also even has a gazebo set up across the street where you can have your own actual wedding! Seating is even included. Parking can be a little tricky, and you may miss it at first glance, so keep a keen eye out if youre visiting for the first time.
The scenery is breathtaking. The kind of place you can sit and read a book under a tree, paint, take wedding photos, feed ducks and people watch. A cozy place for a couple to sit and engage. Its also a nice spot to go for a walk or jog around the pond. Any questions, let me know?
Very nice and clean park, very beautiful , the people here are very friendly.Only thing they dont have is a clean bathroom, so if you have to go just have someone drive you to the nearest Target and use the bathroom there.Other than that , great place to go. Definitely worth it.
Hope all work being done will be completed by the middle of next year. We all miss what once was...the beautiful waterfalls that were seen for many..many years while driving past Argyle Park and Montauk Highway. Does anyone know if it will be restored and have waterfalls again?
Beautiful place. So you have a lake and there is trail that goes around the lake. You can finish it in probably 15-20 mins if you are a slow walker like me.But the best part is the duck island, right in the middle. We went with the family, people were wearing masks and generally social distancing. Many opportunities to take photos. Must give it a try, you will not be disappointed.
Beautiful park for walking. The lake paired with a generally quiet environment make it a great place to relax and settle down. I have seen many people come here for wedding, prom, or general family photography. Keep in mind that coming here during the winter can be a bit brutal since the wind chill near the lake can be a bit uncomfortable. Overall, this is a great park, especially if you are looking for a place to walk/run.
A small yet beautiful park. Walk around a big pond and view the many variety of birds. A playground for little kids is available as well as a beautiful spot by the water fountain that is perfect for important event pictures. Also while walking on the trail dont forget to view the plaque honoring where the former Argyle Hotel stood, where one of the first black-only baseball leagues was started.
Absolutely beautiful, I have nothing bad to say about this place and anyone that does must have come on an off day. I come here when I need to clear my mind. I always see fish, turtles and birds when Im here. Theres a playground for your kids to play, and a small memorial rose garden for the victims of 9/11. Sad but sweet at the same time, Im glad they built it. The flower shop next door sells water bottles if you get thirsty. Theres waterfalls in the front of the park and they are stunning. I sit on the bench and just look at them sometimes. I always leave this park leaving calm and refreshed. Oh, make sure you use the bathroom before you go, because there isnt one here.
Great walking trail although one side has water on the trail issues. I walk with a cane and can make it around good. Just little tricky where the trail gets really muddy. Plenty of people walking, pushing storllers, walking the dogs on leashes. Benches are scattered around the pond to take breaks.
I gotta say Ive only been here when Im running, but if Im ever in the area, I always make it a point to go around the lake at least once, so this gotta qualify for a 5 star. Outside the commuting hours, theres a lot.of parking and never too busy and if youre up for a run, the loop from here to Belmont lake Park is a nice 10K
Once a year in late summer Argyle Lake has their annual festival with hundreds of vendors who sell their wares. The park is beautiful with the lake as its main focal point. Theres a nice walking path which travels all around the lake on both sides of Main St in Babylon.
Beautiful park. However BEWARE, not clearly stated at entrance of park (like most other parks) but closes at dark. We missed the sign bc we walked on the grass to allow dogs to do their business and got $100 ticket @ 7:10 in October, it was still twilight out. They should have posted park rules at entrance, in my opinion. Driving out of the lot we didnt use our headlights so highe is that considered dark!! Besides that we use to love the park to take the pups for a walk after work but now hesitate to use it for that reason. Nice paved walkways easy walking.
Its a great place to walk around and get that exercise, get a little color in and enjoy the day.If you enjoy Pokemon Go? This place has what you need to hatch your eggs, catch your pokemon, put lures on pokestops and get restock at these stops.Lastly, there are a ton of geese that will hiss at you.You can also walk your dog here as well and they provide you with garbage bags to pick up after your dog.
Once the pride of Suffolk County, this now dilapidated property looks like a shadow of what it once was. I dont think it ever got the repairs it needed after Superstorm Sandy. Yet people still flock here for proposals, jogs, strolls and wedding photos. How about shifting some of that $3.2B Suffolk County budget to improve our park? Yes, thats $3,200,000,000 for 2020.
Such a beautiful, well-manicured park! My family and I love to take walks around the lake. Its a really nice way to spend an afternoon getting some fresh air and exercise. I also love that right outside the park is Deer Park Avenue. We park near there, walk around the park and then do some shopping and grab lunch at one of the amazing restaurants. And for those of you who are into Pokemon Go, my kids tell me this is a primo Poke-hunting place. Lots of Poke Stops and rare Pokemon. I thought it was definitely worth mentioning especially if youre trying to get your kids out of the house and into the sun lol.
For a park, 2 stars. For Pokemon Go, 5 stars, there are a ton of stops here. For bikes, rollerblades, etc, 1 star. The path is narrow and a mix of hard packed dirt and uneven, broken pavement. Its a short walk around the pond, and you dont want to be downwind of the water in warm weather. Meandering walkers often not paying attention often block the entire path. There is a tiny playground next to the parking lot, and people sometimes fish here.
Babylon Argyle Park is a destination I am wishing to have taken advantage of years ago. It is a well cared for recreation local. There are pathways for strolling, jogging, and walking the dog. The fountains are a main attraction. Unfortunately, you may have to cope with road noise including motorcycling. The Argyle park is located off of route 27A.
As a child my mom took me here to play, I took my sons. Now they take thier children. Its a nice pondside park with a childrens playground. The large pond has a permanent duck & swan population. There are real but small man made waterfalls. Many people take wedding photos here because its scenic. There is a great walking /bycicling path around the pond (roughly a mile). The park often hosts events & art showd. Once a year there is a craft /art fair with over 400 vendors. I usually find lovely silver jewelry at an inexpensive price. There are shade trees to sit under & relax. There are benches but bring a blanket if you want to sit on the lawn because the ducks & geese leave droppings.
I think it is a beautiful place but I think the town means to clean it up the waterfalls is beautiful but when you see all that white thats all rusted and dirty looking ruins everything I think they need to go in there and do it up really good what a shame they should be embarrassed people come there and take pictures all the time wedding pictures all kinds of pictures get together the Town of Babylon and clean it up thanks

2021-10-17A lovely stroll with my girlfriend Jenifer this afternoon. Since we are avid dog lovers we saw a puppy corgi and an older Corgi by different owners. We also saw a husky a pitbull and a few chocolate labs. We havent been to argyle in a while but Im glad we went today beautiful weather sunshine. The perimeter around the lake is clean and its nice to see young families with their children out and about. There was no trash anywhere to be seen very clean. Argyle lake is a real treasure in Babylon.

2021-06-22Beautiful park, perfect for a nice picnic. I originally planned to have a picnic on the grass however I also packed chairs as a back up. To my surprise there was a mini picnic table available for use. This is the middle of the park directly located in front of the playground. I did pass the entrance as it’s a very small entrance and not a huge parking lot. There Is additional parking in the back of the park (near the train station). I decided to go around and enter through the main entrance. This park is Perfect for families, dates or even solo trips to read a book by the lake. Extremely peaceful. There is also a beautiful waterfall with benches to watch the view towards the front of the park. There are plenty of trees to sit under with a blanket to keep cool during your visit. This is a popular park for wedding photos, prom and other majors events so prepare to see a lot of photographers, brides and grooms! Overall lovely park & I will absolutely return!

2022-05-16Nice park that has been recently improved due to a grant in 2019. Well maintained. Lots of families with dogs on lease. The waterfalls are beautiful and reflect the recent reservations. Lots of swans & geese. Lots of bird poop. Idk if anything can be done aside from having something clean it up at regular intervals.

2022-05-24One of the most picturesque places on long island. Many have wedding photos taken by the waterfalls. One lap around the lake is a good walk, lots of swans, ducks, geese and fish 🐟.

2022-02-06Absolutely beautiful. I lived in Babylon when I was a kid and I come back to walk around the lake and enjoy the park trails by the middle school when I can, or when I need to clear my head. The small waterfall and the white terraced stairway at Argyle Lake are always a welcome site, and there are often wedding parties taking pictures there. Babylon is a beautiful place to visit especially in the summer and an amazing town to live in.

2022-04-05Custom -made park@ the junction of Wyandanch+ Deer Park+ N BabylonWell- fenced on the highway side.It is never crowded. The neighbourhood use it mostly to walk their dogs.It has children enclosure too.I only go their, sometimes to sit in solitude meditation. But it is too small for me, to sue it for long brisk walking.

2021-05-19Just a relaxing park, very beautiful and scenic area. Different types of bird species and also some fishing 🎣. Village within walking distance with many shops and restaurants. Definitely a great place to go chill they also offer bike rentals which are very affordable only $4 an hour and great for kids aswell.
