Aria Kabab in other cities:
The food wasnt the best the lamb and chicken. The food quality for the price is not the best. Plenty of other restaurants with better quality and similar price. The bread isnt authentic Afghan bread, the fries arent placed in a clean container. Overall i would suggest avoiding this restaurant. I dont think the owner cares or taking care of his business. The rice was cold, the couch is broken for the seating area the tables arent cleaned. Very bad quality meat isnt fresh seems like it was old meat.
I have been getting food from here for years n no problem however on June 15 2021 I got food n one of my platters had bitten piece of kebab in it which is nasty along two kebabs that were supposed to be in platter. I took picture of it but I don’t see an option to post the pic of bitten piece of kebab. I didn’t have time to come back and show them. Because We pay full money when buying this should not have happened. I don’t think I wanna go back and there should not be any tax on food.
Very chill and quiet place. I called ahead with my family and the food was perfectly prepared and the waiting staff was very helpful. They were always on standby ready to give a hand. The food itself was delicious. I myself had the zinger burger with fries. And also for my muslim brothers, this is a halal spot.
It was a great experience. As I went with my 1 year old daughter and husband there was only 1 table available next to entrance. It was extremely cold so I told the waiter to please get us another table. He was extremely kind and pleasant about it and moved the entire sofa table and chairs in the back. This service deserves 10 stars. I will definitely be coming back.
The Prices are very high compare to the long waiting time . This place lack the culture of customer care and the cleanliness of the staff is a big concern. Yesterday I ordered for my family, they told me the food will be ready in 20 min. When I went to pick up my order they did not even started. No body at the counter apologized or even care. I would not recommend it especially if you are introducing some to Afghani food. I had amazing experiences with Afghani cuisine but not Aria Kabab.
One of my favorite kabab places in the entire city. food has been consistently good since I’ve been coming here over a year ago, and I’ve been here countless number of times. the place is always very clean as well. its open late and it’s also located in a fairly bustling part of Astoria, so if you’re looking for anything to do after your meal, you may just have luck in the area.
The food was good. But the waiting was tooo much. Literally had to wait 48 minutes and 2 dishes arrived.the menu pics are sooo different and since i wanted a healthy wrap I chose the wrap. But it is sooo different. But still it makes you full. Worth the price. Not too pricy too. Go there. Trust me. Its awesome.
Aria kabab Steinway, located in the middle of Steinway street , recently opened. The staff are very friendly, the service is excellent. BUT the food is not good at all , I have tried the spicy chicken burger which was not tasty at all . The burger was really thick & it was not grilled and extremely greasy.May the other items in the menu are good but I did not try them . I have ordered a take out , so at least there should be some napkins with the order .I think it will improve by the time .
Food is alright , but it was shocking to see the kitchen staff and the cashier guy do not wear face mask or gloves and no hand sanitizer to comply with COVID19. I will not order more food from this place at least until the Corona Virus is over. I hope the owner / manager will take the needed steps to comply with the NYC COVID19 mandate ( staff should wear face mask and gloves and have hand sanitizer throughout the restaurant). Also my food as shown in their menu did not come with the traditional Afghan Bread and instead was replaced with a piece of pita bread.
First time I was today at this place on the suggestion of a friend who quite often visits Aria Kabab. No difficulty to accept that this place is worth to visit and have fun with kabobs .I ordered chicken kabob sandwich ($6:49) my friends orders mix Kabab platter (chicken & beef kabobs with rice ( 10:49 ) .the meat was fresh juice not very spicy or salty with fresh onions tomatoes slices and some dressings .taste was good enjoyable ..next time I will try something different to put next review but comparing price and quality of food with Jackson Heights restaurants Aria is a win win .Owner Mr Ahmad was polite & friendly serving customers professionally .the bottom line good place to eat if you are lucky enough to find a parking for ur vehicle .
Hey Haroon. You are right I see these 3 back to back 1 star reviews. These guys history shows 1 star to every one. Even I do get calls for reviews removal fee. They fake review and then call you to pay. Fake guys with one star review. Show picture of u really got food.
Not good n the food taste is filthy n not cooked well. The service is poor. Very bad service.Very dissatisfaction n very disappointing service n food.Didnt enjoy the food I will never recommend. There r many best kababish food place in town. This people made me waited to get my food on table for more than 35min. This long wooooooow. I had to cancel the few order n then take take the food to go. It was killing me.Horrible service.

2021-10-10I went there to have some authentic Afghan food with Qabli pulao but I got just half decent food. The rice didnt taste like Qabli pulao but rather more like generic cooked rice. Also the red meat kebab seemed to be poor cuts that was artificially tenderized maybe with pineapple juice cuz u could feel the mushy texture. The best tasting kebab was the chicken kebab which shouldnt be the best tasting when there is beef and lamb in the platter. The only good part was the price was relatively cheap. In summary this place is more like a fast food trying to imitate Afghan food instead of serving authentic Afghan food.3/5.

2019-11-10Great food! I enjoyed eating the lamb chops, it was super delicious!!!! I thought the rice and white sauce was pretty decent, but the chops def stole the show. I also loved the bread they served, wish they gave me more. I also got the chicken and beef platters, it was okay... the chicken was better than the beef. I love the front desk servers. They don’t watch you as you eat and just mind there business but is ready to cater to ur needs if only u ask! Good ppl and good business!!!

2022-06-06Rip off!!! The guy named Abdullah at the cash register claims to be the owner of the place! Then it slipped out of his mouth that his boss forget to change the prices on the menu / on the board when asked why he charging more. He didn’t honor the price that was on the menu and instead argued with me- a customer! Bad customer service and definitely not recommend it!

2022-04-10It was an Afghan restaurant. The Kofteh(kobideh)was delicious but can be better. The rice was so spicy, I don’t like it. It is not bad and not good honestly. If you want to eat better Kobideh, Ravagh is better choice you have which is located in Madison Ave.

2020-10-31The food was great. Totally loved the taste and lamb chop didn’t have the smell of the lamb like other places does. Burger was juicy. Chicken and beef kabab was great. The rice was actually really good.

2019-11-14Delicious, fresh food!! Superb tasting because it’s made to order. 100% halal. No machine slaughter nonsense. Takes a little time to get to the table because it’s made fresh but worth the wait.

2017-08-10Their Lamb Chops are soooo good. We love that. Every kebab you ordered are freshly grilled and surved. The also have sitting arrangements in the backyard with lighting at open sky. At night which is a cool place to have party with music n awesome foods. They also provide take away service.

2022-03-18Food tasted cheap but price was same as if I got real meat. Id rather spend my money at Samis Kabob on 36th Ave.
