I have been a customer of Arnica since 2013. They installed my boiler in my basement, to this day it still works well. They also installed central AC throughout my house at a reasonable price. When I had issues with the AC, 4 years later they came and fixed the issue, no problem. This year they replaced and installed another boiler for me in a rental unit I own. I have worked with Simon, he gave me a great deal. I have had no issues with the workers in the past using Arnica, everyone is friendly. Rosetta especially was great when I had any questions or concerns.I had another boiler issue and Rosetta was able to get me a quick appointment on hearing about it. The technician John was very professional, polite and arrived in a mask. He was able to resolve my issues fast. I will definitely be using Arnica again.
Excellent customer service and installations. Every time I call them they answer all my questions. Experts are very nice, fast, thorough. Ive had my new boiler and water system for 4 years now. Just recently had water heater installed for my mom with full service and guarentee. They also do yearly maintenance. Highly recommend.

Arnica did a great job installing five heating/AC ductless units in our medical office. I was very pleased with all aspects of the process. There was no change to the original estimate. The installation was performed efficiently, with quality workmanship . The technicians were very professional and considerate of the needs of the staff, as patients where seen while the work proceeded. The electrician they recommended also did a great job, allowing the installation to be completed in the time frame promised. I highly recommend Arnica.
Weve used Arnica for years. They installed our furnace and maintain it. If I have a problem, they come. Reliable service is what counts! Our technician, Neil, came even though it was at the end of the day and restored our hearing within a half hour. No one wants to have a problem, but if you do, you want Arnica to come and help. Very professional and prompt. We called for a furnace installation and Arnica stated someone will be out between 1pm - 6pm. Long window, right? Surprisingly, they had someone at my house within 45 minutes, assessed the situation and was able to give an estimate and install date all in one visit. We had a horrible experience with a previous well known company, but Arnica has made our experience worthwhile. I applaud their professionalism! Will definitely continue doing business with them along with referring them to friends and colleagues.

Since 2006, I have been using the services of Arnica Heating and Air Conditioning for my Water Heater and Gas Heating System. In April 2008, they installed a 75 gal AO Smith water heater and a Burnham gas fired steam heater. The job was scheduled for one day and finished as scheduled. The installers without a doubt were extremely knowledgeable and professional. I am extremely satisfied with this company reliability and efficiency. When I have an issue with the system, the response from this company is quick, and they are reliable. I would not hesitate to recommend Arnica to any home owner who is looking for a reliable heating company.
I went through about 4 HVAC companies before finding Arnica. I had a furnace switch problem, which all of the other companies suggested unnecessary multi-thousand dollar cleanings or replacement. One even charged me to replace already-working parts. Arnica correctly identified the problem as a hot air backup caused by a closed vent. Cost me nothing more than a service call to fix. Second time I had a broken compressor. They tried using a power booster to save me some money, and when that didnt work they replaced the compressor as requested. Took care of the warranty paperwork for the parts. Work was done well and efficiently. The compressor seemed to have problems a week later, and they came out to my house the next day. Identified it as an electrical circuit breaker problem, and didnt charge me even though the problem was unrelated to the work they did, a mensch move. I hired an electrician to fix replace the breaker, and everything is working fine now. In New York City it often seems hard to find a specialist that seems consistently honest and capable. Im glad Ive finally found my HVAC company.
Had a great experience with Arnica recently. Starting with my initial interaction with Simone, the whole team was great throughout the installation of our new Mitsubishi ductless mini-split system. The guys working in our house were helpful, respectful, and did great work, and the back office team answered all my questions promptly as they came up. Would certainly recommend Arnica wholeheartedly!
A few days ago doing a cold spell our heating system decided to stop working and only blew cold air. We called Arnica heating around 8:00PM to arrange for repairs. The next morning John arrived at the promised time. He analyzed the problem and did the repairs to our 40 year old system . In less than an hour and a half, we had heat. The exceptional service was appreciated as the cold weather that week continued. The cost was both reasonable and fair. I truly recommend Arnica Heating for its courteous and professional service to my system that it installed in 1978 after the failure of my homes system, originally installed in 1910 when my house was built. We have been faithful, and extremely satisfied customers throughout the years.

Our 25+ years old gas furnace went kaput. (why at the coldest time of year?) After perusing reviews and getting some estimates and doing some research, I settled on Arnica. I wasnt wrong. The price was fair. Simone, the proprietor, was well-informed and didnt try to upsell me to a more expensive replacement. With frigid weather in the single-digits threatening to arrive in just a few days, the Arnica crew arrived promptly, removed the old furnace and came back the next morning with the new unit. They worked the entire day and I must say, as a homeowner whos experienced with contractors, this team of Neil, Chris and John, were about the best Ive ever seen: friendly, pleasant, determined and skilled as well as knowledgeable! I have no hesitation in recommending them.
I chose Arnica by chance after my maintenance person of many years retired. I have used them a half dozen times now, for different items, over the past 2 years. They have done enough for me to establish their proficiency and generate trust. From the owner, to whom I spoke while deciding which route to take on a split system repair; to the administrators, who are pleasant and who move the scheduling along nicely whenever possible; to the technicians - two of whom I have interacted with and observed through out the procedures [diagnostics, thermisters, thermocouples etc]. I hired Arnica for a split unit installation on a brand new gut renovation because they were a Mitsubishi certified diamond dealers. I needed 4 air handlers in total for full home coverage. I called Arnica and asked them for a quote, and Simon came to my house/job site, took a look around, took measurements, and discussed the installation with my general contractor. After a good discussion with my contractor, he came up with a plan and gave me a quote that not only was tailored to my renovation but better priced than the 2 other companies I reached out to for quotes. I sent my deposit and the work was put on the schedule. Since this was a full gut renovation, we needed Arnica to be flexible with their installation dates so that they can do the work at the appropriate times. They needed to come when the walls were open to run the coolant lines, and then they needed to come back once the walls were closed up to mount the air handlers. They were very flexible with our schedule and integrated seamlessly with my general contractor. Due to the complicated nature of the installation, there were some issues that came up while on site. In one case, an air handler was installed and I didnt notice until a week or so later that it wasnt sitting on its wall bracket snugly. It turned out that due to a defect, it was not clipped to the bracket tightly. In another case, the wall-mounted condenser unit was causing deep low-level vibrations that made it feel like a semi-truck was idling outside my room. I called Arnica with some anxiety thanks to my experience with general contractors, and the support staff (Jacklyn Calise and Rosette Lauro) came to the rescue. These two are the heart and soul of Arnica. They listened to me, they picked up my calls and answered my emails during off-hours, and they assured me that they would resolve the issues. They stayed in constant communication and saw the issues through to resolution. They also sent their A-Team crew to remediate the issues and it could not be a more pleasant experience. No contractor is perfect because humans arent perfect, but the way you handle your customers and how gracefully you recover is everything in this business. I recommend them if youre looking for a mini-split system for cooling and heating.

Way to go Arnica!Arnica Comes to the Rescue Again!!Luckily we were home when our 13 year old 50 gallon water heater suddenly started leaking. Water had begun flooding our basement quickly. I immediately called Arnica with the number I had saved from a previous job they did for an elderly neighbor (which I managed). The expert response and service my elderly neighbor received then prompted me to call them for my fast leaking water heater.My call was answered right away and a new water heater was promised for delivery and installation the next morning. The receptionist, Rosette, explained how to stop the water heater from automatically refilling which would cause more flooding. Arnicas team came just before the appointed time and within an our and a half my heating system was back on line. The workers double checked the system before leaving. The installation of the Mitsubishi ductless system went so smooth. I had no clue they were present half of the time. Arnica offered a fair and reasonable proposal for their workmanship. I highly recommend including them in your search if anyone is looking for one of these systems.
The 30+ year old gas boiler in my parents house developed a leak that could not be repaired. Neil walked us thru the process of selecting a replacement boiler and pointed out how a different brand would be a better choice (efficiency). Installation occurred 2 days later. Neil, Victor & Adam showed up promptly and were done by the afternoon. They were all meticulous in cleaning up afterwards and Neil carefully explained the safety feature of the new system.Rosette back at the office emailed us the contract right away and made sure that our new boiler was in-the-van and ready for installation.2 Thumbs up for Arnica!
Excellent Service, Fast Response. Installers came on time to replace my 10 year old water heater with AO Smith model. Work was done fast and clean. This is their second major work in my house. First one was HVAC replacement (Heater) and to this day no issues. I do recommend Arnica to anyone I know.
I love this company.I love this company.14 years ago Arnica put in my boiler for a reasonable price.I needed 3 visits over the 14 years all low Bills, all maintenance and this is to be expected, not very high charges. Yesterday it stopped working, Arnica came the same day I called. I wish I could see my MD or DDS the same day I call them. This is a big deal, with plumbing and electrical, it I will see you in 1, 2 or more days, SAME DAY THEY CAME.The repair man called an hour prior to coming and came at agreed upon time, professionally diagnosed the problem and fixed it and gone in under an hour. Ps problem fixed and given a nice tip. My mother in law doesnt tip big, she said he deserves a big tip.We are very very pleased, I hope you all get the same treatment and I think you will judging from my past experience.Good luck Craig.
I have used Arnica Heating and Air since 1987, to maintain my steam furnace (boiler). For emergencies, they can usually come the same day and for routine work, the same week. If not (which is very rare), they let me know up front so I have the option of seeing if someone else can come sooner. Their prices have been fair, not cheap but fair. This would add-up to a 4 star rating, but I am adding a fifth star for customer care and responsiveness. Here are the details.This year, during my routine maintenance, I discovered that I had a clog in the tube that feeds the glass gauge. As a result, I couldn’t reliably check the water levels. Thankfully, the automatic refill was still working, so I could wait for a routine appointment. While waiting, I managed to unplug the tube, but I kept the appointment so they could make sure the tube was clear.On the day of the appointment, they came on time and completed the work, but the serviceman insisted that the fee was more than double what I expected. I paid, but after a day of thinking, I realized something wasn’t right. Normally, this would lead to a much lower rating, but what happened next amazed me. Within an hour of my complaint, Simone, the owner, called. I didn’t have to explain anything. He had already looked up the paperwork and saw it was an overcharge. He apologized and offered a refund, which they dropped off the next morning.The true test of a company is its responsiveness when a problem occurs. Yes, it would be nice if problems never happen, but that’s not real life. So, for their prompt responsive and good customer care, they have earned the fifth star.
Arnica Heating took care of me and my family. They changed out a 50-60 year old boiler that had cracked and the same day we had heat. We encountered an issue a few days later and they resolved it. They even came back to show us how to properly maintain the boiler to keep it in top condition. Would highly recommend.
Cant say more about the professionalism of Arnica. The project ran perfectly from quote to installation. It was a tricky project. Simone and the team were on top of the project from end to end. The crew, Victor and Marco made minimal mess and cleaned up daily. Cant say more about the experience working with the team.
Called for 2 unrelated service calls for new mini-split system and both scheduled quickly (one on a Sat) and followed up with an advanced call morning of visit with expected times of arrival. Except for small late start, both arrived within time indicated. Both techs were masked and stayed so while in home, much appreciated given concerns from pandemic. All techs and office staff were friendly and very profession. Techs identified problems quickly and had corrections made in just over an hour, then checked with me so I could see that the problems were corrected. Office followed up with calls next day to be sure I was satisfied. Excellent service and respectable/professional staff, cant ask for more. - Len Houston
Didnt know who to call for service on my home HVAC unit and looked up Arnica to see its reviews. They were all great so I decided to call them. They were friendly and I set up and appointment. Adi arrived and was very knowledgeable and helpful with everything. My blower motor needed to be replaced and he did it the same day. I will use this company for future issues and yearly maintenance. We are so glad we contracted with Arnico to take care of our 3 Mr Slim units in our Manhattan apartment which we rent out. Rosette was very helpful and patiently explained what to expect and how to proceed. Neil was knowledgable, efficient and clean. After he assessed the units he explained everything that needed to be done (including texting photos of the inside of the units since we could not be present) and we feel confident that the deep cleaning which was to badly needed was done perfectly.We are happy that we can call on Arnico for all of our future needs knowing that everything will be done professionally.
AC stopped cooling, put a call into Arnica on Sunday and left a Voicemail message. They called back quickly and said they would get a crew to us the next workday. So, Monday they called and said they would be by between 1-5 pm but didn’t come or call in that timeframe. Called them for info and they said they were running late because of job volume. The crew finally got on site 7:00 pm but even tho it was late in the day they were professional and ready to work. After a systematic and thorough check of the system, the problem was identified and corrected in just over an hour. The crew chief was Neil who was very professional, competent and personable. They came wearing masks and worked quickly and clean. The only blip in the service was the lack of communication from the office when the appt delay occurred. However I was ecstatic to get the AC up and running on the first work day after the weekend ! Kudos to Neil and the Arnica owners who made sure we were taken care of.
I used Arnica multiple times for our unit. We are a medical office who needs maintenance and cleaning every couple of months. They are extremely responsive and super quick to answer my calls or any questions I have. John (my tech) was extremely informative and helpful!!
Honest company and without high pressure sales pitch. I had did my research about the product I wanted and Simon spoke to me as an educated consumer. Rosette and Dara field most of the calls and are very attentive in making sure your concerns are met. I would say this is the only call you need to make, if you it done right.
I contacted this company 4 weeks ago because my boiler stopped working suddenly without any prior issues. John told me there is nothing he can do cause a new boiler is needed.(cost $ 7500) I felt suspicious of his assessment and decided to contact another company for a second opinion. Within 5 minutes of their arrival to my house the boiler was back on and still on as of today. The cost $70.It’s turned out that the kids left the door open and wind turn off the boiler.Again and again many people look nice and normal on the surface but are very dishonest. I work for living and have 2 small children in the house in the middle of winter season. Good Luck with this company
My heat was broken upstairs in my apartment, and everytime I turned it on it leaked into my downstairs bathroom. I had consulted several different companies/HVAC people and they all said that they would have to open up the ceiling to fix the leak. Neil came and fixed the heat and the leak in a couple hours, and was pleasant and cordial throughout. I would definitely consult Arnica again.
Wanted to work with a contractor that participated in the NY Clean heat program. They installed ductless ac throughout the house with a heat pump. There were a few hangups along the way with scheduling, costs and the final rebate amount. But it all worked out. Happy I decided to go forward with the program. thanks
Arnica has been servicing my furnace for a few years now, when it was finally time to replace it, I knew exactly who I should speak to.. Simone provided an estimate on the spot and scheduled the installation the very next day....the girls in the office are really helpful and easy to work with... I would definelty recommend Arnica Heating and Air..

2021-09-20Arnica Heating and Air Conditioning another well done job!From the start to finish the administration office Simon, Rosette and Lisa all provided excellent customer service.The install included 3 units on the top floor of our home and took 2 days to complete. The crew Neal and Andrew were on time and and did a clean install and made sure all units were operational. I strongly recommend them. I even recommended them to my neighbors and they were so excited at the look of our house, that Arnica Air is now working on their home.

Neil and and his crew worked all day and into the night to complete the difficult installation. They worked clean and kept us at ease all the way. 2022-05-09Arnica installed ductless AC units in our landmarked building in Park Slope, Brooklyn. They were incredibly patient with us, as we worked with our Coop board to ensure the project scope fit the buildings requirements. During the project, they quickly adjusted to incorporate a change in the location of the branch box and install air filters. Additionally, Rosette was a tremendous help coordinating logistics during the install, and the guys who did the install were really polite and helpful.

2022-01-10We had a problem with our forced air heating system which hadn’t been serviced for several years. We called two companies in NYC and were told they wouldn’t come to Brooklyn. When we called Arnica, we were informed they did serve Brooklyn and would send a technician in a few days. The day before the scheduled appointment they called to ask if their technician could come that afternoon. The technician checked our system, found the heating system was basically OK and suggested that the problem might an erratic thermostat. He also suggested that our system get a pre-winter checkup every year.Arnica’s office representative called the next day to see if we were satisfied with the service! We were more than pleased and intend to call them for a checkup before the next heating season.

2020-12-22This review is overdue because Arnica has saved us again for the 3rd time! We moved into a condo that previously had HVAC units installed and the compressor had issues almost immediately. The building management sent a different company to take a look at the issue but nothing was resolved and we had no AC with an infant during a heat wave! We decided to take matters into our own hands and hire Arnica after seeing all of the rave reviews. It was the best decision ever. They were extremely professional, ordered all of the parts and scheduled the appointment quickly for us. We also hired them to do maintenance on our indoor units after seeing mold and they were so thorough and did a fantastic job. More recently our heat wasn’t working due to old boards from the original installation. Arnica understood the urgency, responded immediately and resolved the issue in no time. They were so helpful to us and you can tell they really care for their customers. Shout out to Dara and Rosette who are always so responsive and on top of things!

2020-12-07Arnica did an installation for us of a mini-split system with heat pump (hyper heat). They did terrific work, and the customer service was unparalleled. From Simones evaluation and estimate, to Rosettes friendly, clear and informative communications, to Dean and Marcos efficient and tidy installation. They were great in so many ways. They were careful to explain everything, they introduced themselves and worked around our schedules, they swept up and cleaned up after working. Its obvious they had years of experience in the technical side of the installation, but Ive never really worked with a company that had such a good attitude and seemed to care so much about being sure we were satisfied. They even took care of all the paperwork to get the rebates to which we were entitled, and saved us a lot of money by doing so. I would not hesitate to use Arnica again for any kind of job. Very happy to have found them!

I contacted Mitsubishi and was given a list of their Diamond contractor. I reached out to four companies on the list. Each company came and did an evaluation and submitted a price. I selected Arnica Heating and Air Conditioning. Why?Price was not the mean factor in my selection. From the first phone call the staff was welcoming. They made me feel as if I was their only client. They were patience with me answering every question and concerns I had. I could call them three or four times in a day and they never tired of hearing from me. No sale pressures at all.And when it came to the installation the installers Dean and Marco were great. They call me Sir, said thank you all the time and were very professional. They were clean and very respectful of my home. They took the time to answer all my questions and made sure I was happy with the service every step of the way.Arnica made the process from start to finish easy and their customer services was wonderful.I would recommend Arnica to anyone think of investing in a air conditioning and heating unit.Thank you Simon, Rosette, John, Dean and Marco.
