Very disappointed with the food. Order Murgh polaw and achari chicken chops. The food came an hour later I am not even joking it was an hour 3 mins of wait. Food was trash literally trash. For murgh polaw they used the same sauce they use for butter chicken. They selling chicken shish tawook saying it’s chicken achari chop. The bill was 110 dollars. Waste of money and time please avoid this place.
Ordered 3 main dishes : chicken tikka masala, beef vindaloo, alo dum gobi matar (all came with a of side rice), also ordered garlic naan and samosa. (Through iseamless)All very good and tasty! We’ll definitely order again! My only complaint is I check-marked for no plasticware like forks and knifes, and they came anyway.
I wasn’t aware that Indian food was so full of possibilities, so many vegan options and tasty meats.Let me said Mango Lassi a completely revelation, yummylicious 💯💯💯💯Scrumptious lamb shank that pull out of the bone, butter chicken which is a must creamy and flavorfulChicken Tikka Masala on point. Fresh garlic naan perfect complement to every dish.So convenient minutes away from homeNo need too travel to Manhattan for a dinner night outStay local Queens have it all 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
The food was amazing. As I am not familiar with Indian cuisine, the waiter was extremely helpful and patient. He explained the dishes and made great recommendations. He gave me a Mango Lassi which was amazing. I took the food out as they were about to close their lunch hours. The Butter chicken was delicious. The rice and the garlic Nan was good also. My only call outs are the Nan is an extra charge and they could be a little more generous with the rice. Overall a nice experience and very tasty food.
We absolutely love the food here but the service is crazy. We ordered a beer and a glass of wine. Beer came immediately. Wine took 20 minutes. We ordered two apps and two entrees (cauliflower- fabulous) samosas (never came), and two curries - shrimp and fish - both fabulous! Samosas came later! Guys, you have a great place here! Learn how to serve!! Take out is always excellent but sometimes you want an in-restaurant experience.
Love this place. I come all the way from Sheepshead Bay just to grab something from this spot. Got the lamb shank today and it was really good, fresh and tender. I also like their soups and shrimp curry dish. The mango Lassi is great too. Definitely one of my favorite go to spots.
Food isnt amazing as youd expect, a lot of different items on their menu but the taste needs work. Chicken Tikka and Butter chicken are almost the same and they messed up an order but gave the item for free but it took a while for the food to come. 1.5 hour wait time from order and appetizer 45 minutes.
I was very intrigued to try this place out after seeing it on social media. Boy was I letdown sooooo bad. The butter chicken was so watery and bland it was probably the worst I’ve ever had. Then we also ordered the chicken tikka samosas...they gave us vegetable so we had to re-order that and it was okay. The pani puri was extremely bland and probably the worst I’ve ever had. The only bright side were the drinks but maybe they just tasted good because everything else was extremely trash. Maybe the chef was out? Maybe they had a rough day. I don’t know but definitely wouldn’t recommend this place. *Pusha T EYUCK*
Favorite dishes were the chicken lollipop appetizer, rosemary malai chicken and of course chicken tikka masala (my all time fave). We also had butter chicken (which never disappoints), chicken 65 (a spicy fried chicken dish), samosas and washed it all down with mango lassis. A friend ordered the lamb shank which was in a delicious curry. We ordered so much garlic and butter naan with the meal since they were so warm and perfect. Overall, everything was delicious and I would definitely go back. The setting is cozy, but inviting the service was attentive and efficient and the food is good.
Always loved this place but I despise places that want to cut corners. Why are you now serving platters with not even a pint of rice? And not youre not even filling the small container to the top? Its not like we get a Naan bread with the meal to compensate. Like really, being cheap on rice? I didnt order a chicken Tikka masala soup. Its a platter.
We had dine in like @ 6 months before when our family friends visited us, and like the food. Today we ordered online via Uber eats, the veg Paneer tikka masala was too much sweat like we ate desert. The gravy preparation and paneer was okay. Rest of the items were up to satisfaction. So need to take care particularly when its ordered by Asian.thank you..!!
Great food, friendly servers. The only thing I can say is their dish washer could do a way better job on their glasses. Every glass on every table almost appears cloudy..Ive seen this mostly with dishwasher residue.. but outside of that. Super clean place super quaint and homey while maintaining a level of elegance. Definitely would recommend.
Food is awesome, try lamb chops. Worth a try! But this place needs to focus on customer as well. Staff needs to be more professional towards guest. I have seen a guy from the staff flirting with one of the guest and not caring for others so Id to wait for him until he finished his business as he was the only one at the floor. Food quality is awesome for sure.
Food served fast, hot and to order. Ive tried 4-5 different dishes here and theyve been full of flavor and authentic spices. If you enjoy food with some kick I would recommend asking for your dish made spicy. When I asked for my curries spicy, they were mild-medium spicy but it added a lot of heat and depth to the dish. Next time I will ask for my dishes extra spicy. A great casual neighborhood spot with delicious food and great service.
The food, service, and atmosphere here are amazing! Did I mention the food? I’ve come here a couple of times and ordered different foods on the menu just to expand my palette and none disappoint. My favorite has to be the lamb chops and the palak paneer. This is the best Indian food I’ve ever had.
Absolutely great place to eat. I took my Girl Scouts there and they were in awe with the service and the food. We decided to order desserts from their next door sister restaurant “sugar and coal” and they were so happy with the beauty of those desserts. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Food was great! Chicken and waffles were tasty, meat was very tender. Lamb shank was tender, flavorful, had nice gravy. The curries and naan were great but the cheese naan was like a flat bread. Overall great food but a little inattentive service as they only had 1 waitress but she worked hard.
This place is a waste of time and money. I ordered the pani puri, it was a joke they just bought ready made puri from an Indian shop with chutney instead of pani, there were only 5 small pieces. The service was terrible, the waiter didn’t give us all of our items he was just rushing and didn’t even give chutney for the second dish.
Walked in and got service right away. It was around noon for reference. There were No other customers in the store. Needed 2 otterbox cases for my s21. They eventually found the defender pro and clear symmetry cases. Took about 18 mins. The salesperson knew what I was looking for and was pleasant.
My wife and I had dinner at Aroma Restaurant last weekend and we both enjoyed everything on their menu. All of the dishes were flavorful and authentic, but what we were most happy with was the impeccable service they provided throughout the course of our meal. We will definitely be back again!
Just spectacular! What amazing food. Excellent friendly service. But back to the food: we love Indian food and this place is among the elites. The restaurant itself is a very warm and welcoming venue. Woodhaven Blvd has some fine restaurants and this one is a must. Enjoy!!
I have been to this restaurant multiple times. there are a lot of choices in the menu such as chicken tikka masala especially like the variety of desserts cooked to their best. i continue to take my favorite desserts waffle over and over. the other dishes i liked lamp chop. everything else is good too. there are some dishes i didnt like though.that made me wonder if it is actually there, no kidding!!
Decided to give this place a shot !! I was truly amazed at the decor , nice and sleek . Restaurant is on the smaller side but feels very welcoming ! I can tell there was Indian Instrumental Music playing , it was amazing !!We were greeted right away and given an option to pick our table as well !! Took a short glance at the menu and didn’t know what to get , the host actually explained their special dishes and recommended couple items. We decided to go with their choices and were very happy by it . For starters we did the Papri Chaat , Shami Kabab , Malai Shrimp and Saffron Chicken Tikka . By now we were super full but knew the main entrees were still coming . Yea we ordered way too much !! Also for Drinks I got the Lychee Mock-tail and my friend got the Masala Chai . Main course was Lamb Chops the chefs special , followed by Shrimp Jalfrezi ,Aroma Grill Biriyani , Garlic Naan, Lemon Rice and Keema Roti . We definitely didn’t even touch couple of the dishes!! Had our lunch set for the next day !!Ambience- 10/10Service -10/10WiFi- not sureParking - Street
Worst place ever. I ordered at 1 p.m. called around 2 and was told its on the way. Called again at 2.40 and no answer. Contacted Grubhub and was told they lost the order and cannot locate the delivery guy. If they cant figure out what happened to your delivery only God knows what goes on in their kitchen. Worst experience ever. It seems like the owner doesnt care about the service or any of the reviews. I see that I am not the only one they screwed over for delivery.
This was a wonderful dining experience. Saffron chicken, paneer palak lamb, rogan josh, garlic nan, creative appetizers that were perfectly spiced, cant say enough about how fresh and well seasoned all our dishes were. Stopped in on a weekend and enjoyed it tremendously. Then ordered again for a birthday celebration and take out. Delivered on time and hot. Attentive and courteous service and reasonably priced. Looking forward to our next visit.
So delicious! The food was amazing. I have been craving Indian food and Aroma was just what I wanted. I got Paneer Tikka Masala, with bell peppers, and it was just so good. I could eat it every day! My husband got the yellow daal and really enjoyed his dish too. Quote: I could have eaten it straight with no rice. He asked for spicy sauce to go with his daal and got a little dish of some quality, very spicy sauce. The garlic naan was so soft and flavorful. The atmosphere is elegant AND cozy, with quality dishes and glasses. The service is friendly and attentive with real smiles. I loved it!
This was always our go to for Indian takeout. We found the food to be excellent for delivery. Simply layers of flavor! Just mind blowing. So we decided to visit the restaurant one night just out of curiosity. Decor is simple but clean. And the food was just as delicious if not better since its from kitchen to table. Our must haves: Kolapuri chicken, yellow dal, garlic naan, butter chicken, and mango lassi.
I do not understand how a restaurant can get an order wrong when it is placed online and everything is clearly spelled out. This wouldnt be the first time, second time or third time we have had this issue where we did not receive an item or the order altogether. If the person reading the order online can not get it right, maybe it is time to hire someone who can.6/10/19 - And again the order is wrong and missing items.Placed an order with them through Uber Eats tonight only to have the order cancelled over 45 minutes later. Absolutely ridiculous.
I was so excited to be getting an Indian restaurant down the street. We ordered 2 Chicken Tikka Masalas and one naan. The order came with only one Tikka and two naan. We were pleasantly surprised by the portion size of the naan until our check came and we realized we were charged for two naan. We had to ask for a second tikka and the waiter told us since we were already eating the Tikka masala that we should eat something else. Im all for trying new things but we know what we like and had asked for two in the first place. He also never refilled my water. These might be understandable mistakes if this were a busy night for the new waiter but we were the only ones in the entire restaurant. Our other issue was that the rice given to us was not nearly enough for the amount of sauce and chicken. We were charged FOUR DOLLARS for extra rice. I have never been charged for rice at any Indian restaurant ever. When our bill came which we expected to be around $30 and it was $50 my husband and I were hugely surprised and dissatisfied. We will most likely not be returning which is all the more disappointing as the food was delicious. Save your money, its worth the trip to the Jackson Diner.
I just ate food here. We ordered Shahi Paneer, Shahi Korma, yellow dal, garlic naan and lachha parantha.Everything was super yummy 😋. The only backdraw is that we had to wait for food... but might be the cooks here spend more time to prepare the dishes and that’s why it is so delicious 😃
Called in almost after an hour. I specifically told the guy that my kid is hungry. It’s been almost 1.5 hours and no whereabouts of the order. If the order ever get to me , It’s gonna be 2 almost hours. Asked the guy to tell me honestly when the order will be ready. He lied and said 10 mins. I could have ordered something else. If you’re reading my comment. You know who I am. I’m not ordering again.
I ordered my food at 2.35pm. At 3:40pm I called to get an update and they said its on the way. At 4.15pm I called again and they said its on the way. The food arrived around 4.30. COLD. I feel cheated for my money. The menu is well priced but way over priced for cold food that arrived 2 hours later.
Disappointed, I bought garlic naan and lamb curry with shrimp curry and some other stuff take away service. When I got home the naan was so stiff it was difficult to chew. I ask for spicy curry there was no spice and the biryani is tasteless and expensive. I dont think I ever wanna try Indian food again
Definitely one of the best Indian restaurants I have tried (which have been many)! All the menu items very well chosen, starting with the Hara bara kebab (croquettes with spinach) and the Kolapuri chicken. The atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming and the staff very attentive.

2021-09-19Mixed Grill platter meat was literally all charred outside but raw inside. Butter chicken sauce was rotten and extremely oily. The order took a little over an hour and I was extremely disappointed. They didn’t have lentil soup, so they kindly called to replace it with chicken samosas, but those tasted like old refrigerator and were burnt. :(The beef biryani was the only edible plate out of our order and it was pretty bland. Thanks to Grubhub customer service for refunding us, this disgusting order was over $50.

2021-07-12Im appalled by the lack of customer service and consideration they have for there customers. This is the second time i order from this place and for the most part the food is alright. I ordered the Rosemary Malai Kabab and to my dismay i found a hair in it. I called the restaurant and after several attempts they finally answered, i told him what happened and they put me on hold for 5 minutes before they hung up. I called several times again and when they finally answered, i explained to the gentleman what happened for the second time. He tells me to call back that they are busy. Im confused, if a person calls you up and tells you they found a hair in their food wouldnt you address the issue right away?! Then proceeds to leave me on the line talking by myself. Im extremely disgusted of the lack of urgency and genuine care that they have for there customers. Foodies beware!!....i wont be ordering from this place again!!

2022-04-16We made reservations for dinner at 7pm and they told us it will be available, we even called the day of to make sure and they said they will be ready for us. I drove 2 hours in traffic while fasting just to go there and see the place is closed. Then we were forced to break our fast at Nur Thai next door and don’t even get me started on that place, go find me in their reviews about my experience with them. Good luck to them tho hopefully they can sort this issue out.

2021-03-23Upon finding this place, we have ordered here multiple times and have dined in twice. We have are excited to taste the flavors and textures that make this place special. There is no wrong order. Get your staples, the naan, the samosa the chicken tikka but I dare you to try something else. My new face is the lamb shank. Inside youll find a quiet intimate spot for dining. We found it romantic but during quarantine you could tell the quality of cooking wasnt lost during take out. Ill be going here for years. I love it

2022-03-13What can I say about this place. The atmosphere and the music was lovely especially hearing classing Bollywood music. We sat at the table, no plate no utensils no glasses no nothing was set up. We ordered our food which took 35 mins to come out. Even the appetizers came out at the same time as our dinner. The rosemary chicken kebab was extremely dry. The butter chicken was undercooked and the garlic naan wasn’t fully cooked either. When it came to dessert, we ordered gulab jamun which took twice as long to come out. I wish I can say beautiful things however the service was absolutely HORRIBLE!
