I miss that Syrah!4.5 for us!This is the first time I ever tasted this red wine called syrah and I miss it already. James made the experience absolutely memorable.Well... first and foremost the venue is huge! and we were told that its only one wing of the whole place. The views of the vineyard from where we sat were stunning. just caught enough sun before it came down.Next was the hospitality. James. incredibly helpful. We were visiting niagara falls as you guys probably are as well and we got into the whats for dinner around here conversation which he had a lot of suggestions for us. ;)Then we had mentioned our ideas of visiting buffalo NY. Wouldnt you know, hes from buffalo! Then i realized it was just 30 minute drive from the winery. lol Although we didnt get to visit buffalo this time we will for sure in the future because of James and probably swing by to visit him again! Thanks James for your enthusiasm and giving us recommendations cheers!
Had never been to this winery as of yet but so glad we stopped by! We were able to take our dog and the two winery border collies were wandering around just enjoying the afternoon. The owner chatted with us about the history of the vineyard and some geological facts I was never aware of. I ordered a flight and loved the semi dry white so after I had a full glass. My boyfriend was able to pick a draft beer and he was happy with the options. The staff behind the bar were very pleasant. I forgot to buy a bottle of the white I liked so much so I will be back!
The wine flights were good and the view was amazing from the seating both inside and outside, but overall the wine flights were predetermined for you with few options, the cheese was just some packaged cheese that was lackluster and felt like an afterthought, and there was a noticeable problem of fruit flies (with a dozen hovering over our drinks) that really took me out of the moment and prevented me from enjoying the place and the wine. Overall, would not recommend to friends or family, and would have to consider recommending the wine.
Buffalos best red wines BY FAR!There is great wine to be had by many different wineries in NYS, but Arrowhead is on a different level. You could throw darts at their wine menu and taste something amazing.Theyre great for a quick tasting on a tour, or with their gorgeous new building, you could spend all day there sipping wine.My wife also had her bridal shower here and had a wonderful experience. Their new building is perfect for nearly any event you want to have.Great views,Great atmosphere,AMAZING wine!
We have been here before and as always the wine was fantastic. The service was great, both bartenders were extremely nice and knowledgeable. I appreciate how they are handling COVID restrictions, they are strict and follow guidelines to a T, but continue to maintain a more than enjoyable experience. We will definitely be back and highly recommend.
I’ve been here a couple times before and I enjoyed visiting. But this time was not the case. As soon as we walked in we were disrespected for no reason. The building had moved and when I asked one of the workers about the new building they built he was rude. Sorry I asked about your businesses success!??? The wine was sub par. We paid $10 for what was supposed to be a flight.. but each glass barely had a sip. So disappointed. We were so upset my friend brought it to the owners attention and he said was rude to her too. We will not be back. So sad that at a time like this they treat the only customers they have like this.
I made a best friend here today. He was a gracious wine tasting host. He was also a great watchman while I was walking the vineyard. He showed me to the front door and said lets eat and drink so we did. Hes my friend for life now. Thank you for the wonderful welcome 🐕 🐶
I have drank a fair amount of Arrowhead wine and it’s a delight normally. In fact, the meritage and merlot were excellent at my last visit. However, while there I ordered a glass of pinot noir and it tasted like pickles and metal. The wine itself was murky and had lots of floaties. When we told the bartender the wine tasted off, she said, “no, not if you like Pinot,” and charged us for another drink. Ummm. I’ve had Arrowhead’s pinot many times and it’s usually quite nice. As others have noted, their service seems to be hit or miss. The dogs are a blast.
We came out to the Niagara wine trail to celebrate my sisters birthday. We had enjoyed a great afternoon of wine tasting and this was our last stop...how quickly things deteriorated! We walked in and were immediately met with unfriendly staff that seemed as if they were unhappy to have customers. We complained about one staff members rudeness to someone who was seemingly in management and were treated even more rudely by them!!! Ive read several reviews on google with similar experiences to mine. Ive also noticed how quick the owner is to respond back and rudely denounce anyone who dares to leave a negative comment. I will eagerly await my disrespectful comment back for an experience that was completely inexcusable!!
We did not have a good experience here during a recent winery event. The 2018 harvest festival. The owner who I believe is served us was very short and kind of a little rude. She kept reiterating that we only had three tastings. And we knew that but it just seems like she kind of wanted to give us our tastings and shove us out of the door. Needless to say there wines were not to our liking, they only cater to one type of wine connoisseur where I thought they should I had a better variety
This is my favorite Winery in Western NY. It is worth going just for the view from the tasting room and to enjoy a picnic on their property. The wine is simply amazing. I have never enjoyed a Riesling so much. Not two sweet with wonderful aromas. Their reds are what I usually what I go for in the end. You will not be disappointed.
We absolutely love Arrowhead Springs! This is a first and must stop!!! Wed rate it higher than a 5 if we could. If your a Dog lover they have a border collie that you may enjoy we doWe go to this winery everytime we are in the area. Wines are consistently exceptional . Im a fan of family owned business Owners are the perfect example of how you treat your winery guests no matter how busy they are or its an event on the trail. Whites are yummy try the Chardonnay. My absolute favorite are their reds. Pinot is always our favorite along with Syrah and Cab Franc. They may be a bit pricey but whats that saying Life is too short to drink bad wine so why not drink the very best of the Niagara escarpment. Thank you Arrowhead we love you and your wines!
We brought a group of 15 people through for tastings today and it was a great time! The owners and their team were wonderful and the wine was delicious. We loved the Reisling and Cab Franc and will definitely be back. Arrowhead is a must if you are on the Niagara wine trail!
I went to Arrowhead Spring Vineyards last Thursday with my girlfriend. We were the only ones in the tasting room during our time there. After learning that I was there to write a report for a wine tasting class I am taking the staff offered to give me the tastings for free. We tried the majority of the wine on the menu. The wine they make there is mostly dry and red. I enjoyed the majority of the wines we tried. The 2011 cab sauv might be the best thing on the menu, I would highly recommend it. The 2012 meritage reserve and 2012 chardonnay reserve were also very good and I would recommend them as well. Both of the syrahs we tasted were heavy in flavor and spice. It took some time to get the pepper taste out of my mouth after trying them, I would definitely skip them next time. The Vidal Blanc desert wine we tasted was amazing. Its mango peach flavor could have easily been used as syrup for waffles or have been poured over vanilla ice cream as desert. Overall it was a great visit. The staff was exceptionally friendly and the wines were above par. The wines were a bit overpriced but it is definitely worth a visit.
I and others in my party (4 total) thought this was number one of the five wineries we visited today. They said right up front that they specialize in dry reds, but others who didnt prefer dry reds also said this was #1. The wines were a little more expensive than others we visited ($20-30 range) but they were SO much better. The hostess (maybe a daughter?) was quiet; some may say aloof but we did not feel that way. She was friendly knowledgeable and helpful. The tasting room overlooked the vineyard, which was nice. This place was awesome! Dont pass this one by!
They say they are open til 6pm but they actually stop being open before 6pm so they should either change the hours they are open or actually do their job until 6pm. (FYI I did not show up 5 min prior to them closing) I could have easily done a tasting and been out by 6pm. I guess they are doing really well these days.

2022-04-24The wine was great, but the people were even better! The owner Robin gave my friend and I a beautiful tour of the vineyard and winery. He is very knowledgeable and down to earth. The tour comes with enough wine tasting!! The ambiance is great, so is the food. We had a lovely time there and I highly recommend it.

2021-08-08Amazing winery to stop at on our tour of Niagara area wineries. Wonderful food and beer and cider choices to enjoy as well. They even had a dog meet us at the door and who showed us where the outdoor seating. That is amazing service. Loaded up the wrong pics earlier though... sorry.

2021-07-17One of my favorite Upstate NY wineries. The ambience is perfect for small groups to unwind after a long day of work. The two border collie’s are very playful and big lol. The wine is unique in its own right with sophistication unlike other wineries in the area. The staff is super friendly. The menu is crafted well to pair with the food that is made on premise. Definitely a hidden gem and a place to visit if you are in the area.

2022-05-25Very enjoyable visit! All the wines were well crafted and expressive of the site/terroir. James was a excellent guide through the tasting! A must visit winery for those that appreciate well made, cool climate dry wines.

2021-12-05The tasting room at Arrowhead is just beautiful, but the experience was undermined by the unremarkable reds I had from their tasting flight. Much more enjoyable Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc can be found next door at Freedom Run.

2020-08-30Solid 4.5 for us. By far and away the best looking facility on the Niagara County Wine Trail. Newer building and deceivingly large on the inside. Great venue for special occasions Nice outdoor sitting area. Predominately dry wines. Nice selection of wine including a couple beer and cider options too. Plenty of space to social distance.

2020-10-10Amazing facilities and great wine! They have Chardonnay I actually like! We bought three different bottles to take home to NYC. The owner’s son is extremely knowledgeable and we had a lot of fun speaking with him.

2020-07-29I held my bridal shower at Arrowhead Spring Vineyards this weekend and it was absolutely perfect! We used their tasting room as it was the perfect size for the number of guests we had (25) and the team there was very accommodating. They allowed us to set up the room the way we wanted it ahead of time, we had food catered in without any issues, they equipped us with 2 members behind the bar and above all, everyone felt very safe and comfortable being there. They had rules about wearing masks while standing and were able to distance the tables for us. We also had access to the new patio, which is stunning and a great place for pictures! Of course, I chose this location because the wine is fantastic. All of my shower guests had very good compliments about the winery afterwards. I would highly recommend hosting a gathering or party at this vineyard in the future!
