I went to Arrowood Farms not expecting to have such a fantastic time. Great food, awesome cocktails made with pure ingredients, and the live band was amazing. The smoked brisket is outstanding. For vegetarians or vegans, the impossible burger was filled with much flavor. Great for families, a couples outing or just a day to enjoy.
We attended the dirt farm festival here and although the weather was crazy hot we had a blast. The venue was great. Plenty of clean porta potties and a water bottle filling station which was really, really important in that heat. Great choice of food and drinks, too. Definitely recommend attending a music show here!
Absolutely delicious food and great beer and atmosphere! And I love that the bar is dog friendly. We loved it so much we came here twice while visiting friends. The jam burger was just incredible, and I was also a huge fan of the summer salad. Cant think of a brewery I love more than this one!!
Lovely little restaurant. Good selection of local brews, their made in house burboun is fantastic. My only complaint would maybe be that customer parking is a little walk from the restaurant and I didnt see any handicapped spots closer. Not really a big deal, but the older lady in our party though it was a bit of hike
They have changed and grown a bit since I was last there a few years ago with the addition of a distillery. If you like highly herbaceous gon, I recommend giving them a try. They have an even better selection of ber now as well along with some good eats on this heavenly property.
The venue is awesome. Its a very pretty farm with great outdoor and indoor seating. The pavilion is really nice on a hot sunny day. I like NEIPAs and I thought they were excellent. Would give 5 stars but its really expensive. $8/pint and the food is really overpriced.
My terrible experience began before I even got there. I called multiple times on Sunday during their listed working hours and emailed about making a reservation with zero response. Feeling adventurous I decided to try the place out the next day anyway because according to Google there werent many people there. Welp this was correct, I came here on Monday, June 20 around 5:30-6:00pm. The concept of the place totally spoke to me and they had plenty of vegan options according to the menu posted on their website.Food & Drinks are good. The menu available online is absolutely not the menu available at the venue now. I had the Fried Oyster mushrooms sandwich and my partner had the fried chicken sandwich. We chose to go with their summer lager which was so VERY good. I enjoyed their summer ale so much I had planned on buying a bottle or 2 to bring back to my apt. That however, did not happen. After ordering two rounds with the blonde bartender something completely changed and I was no longer getting service. Im talking about I was literally the only person standing there when two other different sets of patrons walked up to the bar by the corner service station were still taken care of first. I had a tab open so that couldnt have been the excuse and literally only one guy actually sitting at the bar. It was embarrassing sitting there knowing I was getting completely ignored for who knows what reason? I dont want to make any assumptions but I also cannot recommend this place and would not return.
We came for a tour to potentially have our wedding at this sight. The beers are pretty good.It took a significantly long time to be served, to the point where they mentally had one minute to come to our table before we walked out and they came just as we were getting up. Their were empty tables, so they werent slammed, we get it pandemic, worker shortage, it is what it is.We ordered the vegetarian poutine. It came to the table and I asked the waitress who was at the bar if we indeed had the mushroom poutine served to us. She assured me that it was. I went back to my table and was like no way that is not meat. We called over someone to look at it. The blood poured out of her face when she saw there was indeed rabbit meat on our poutine. They quickly rectified the order and comped the meal (thank you!!). Were not vegetarians so for us it is what is it but my sister (a very pure vegetarian) would have absolutely died.
A happy place with a great outdoor space including well manicured grounds, room to sit and run around (our 15 month old had a blast chasing chickens), and dog friendly! Most importantly, delicious beer, food and super nice staff. We went on a rainy Thursday and had such a good time.
I have been going to Arrowood from the first year they opened.. i think my husband and i are now officially regulars.. I’ve ridden bikes there, gone gross after camping, and eaten and drank pretty much everything there. Bonus, my dog loves it too. The beer is awesome and now we have a bottle of bourbon that is also really really good!
They have really done a great job with improving the place. My burger was absolutely delicious and my beer was great. There is plenty of outdoor seating and is a dog friendly environment. Beautiful sunflower field as u enter the establishment. Duck pond in the back and cornhole boards out waiting for you to play. Will definitely be going back more often. Oh and the bathroom was spotless 👍
It is a great venue to hang out and have a couple beers. However, we rented the pavilion for a retirement party and that was unacceptable. It was not closed off to the other patrons anyone could walk through or hang at the bar in the space we paid for, which was not cheap.
I knew this place was gonna be great the moment i saw the plump, sleek chickens hanging out outside. we came here hot and dusty from a hike. beers were amazing - we had the grisette and the pils, both solid examples. they also have a nicely curated list of local wines. food menu has several vegetarian options, which was a nice touch. we had the rabbit poutine and an interesting miso/sweet potato sandwich. the local ingredients really shine in every aspect of their menu.
My husband and I have been looking for a brewery in the area similar to this one. You can find plenty of breweries down south with the outdoor seating, fire pits that are not only kid friendly but dog friendly, but it has been impossible to find something like that in NY, until now.We stumbled upon Arrowood on our way home and stopped in for dinner and drinks. They were quite busy, but we were able to enjoy drinks and the pop up food option that they were offering. Our kids really enjoyed having the outdoor space to just be kids. The drinks were good. I was very excited to find a local farm that distilled their own gin and vodka. Unfortunately I was only able to try their vodka, which is good, but they had run out of gin, so I now I guess I have an excuse to go back out to the farm soon!
This was my first time visiting Arrowood Brewery and I was a little confused going in as it is very remote and the signage is not great but once you get here it is a cool little place, that is very clean with nice new equipment, and a beautiful wooden bar. They Grow all of the hops for the beer and they also brew the beer right on site. Definitely worth stopping on here.
Amazing place. Beers that please the pallet. No hop battles here. Burgers and wings elevated to match the beers. Dang, almost forgot the Gin! With elderberry tonic, frufru you say, not!! Not the best for a 3 shirt day in SE Asia but for sitting out in the hills of NY, excellent!
Stopped in for lunch today. I had The Goose sandwich which was amazing. My friends had the Brewers Burger which they really enjoyed. The staff was super friendly, even being helpful when we were indecisive about which beers to buy to take home. The outdoor seating was great, Im sure its even better in the summer when the hop bones are still full.
A wonderful summer experience at Arrowood Farm and Brewery! I drove out here and social distanced and enjoyed lunch with a few friends. The burger I had was wonderful and I loved their special summertime cocktails. It felt safe and everyone there was wearing masks due to Covid-19. It’s a dog friendly place as well, as long as they are on a leash!
Great food in the heart of Accord! They have a wonderful selection of beer and cocktails on offer that are brewed and distilled on site. The menu has a nice assortment of Burgers, sandwiches, salads and snacks. They have a fried chicken sandwich on Sundays that is so good! Plenty of space for outdoor dinning and lots of fire-pits to keep warm around in the cold weather.
Amazing place! We came to dinner with the kids, the beer was great, the food was great and the chocolate mousse at the end was very delicious. And the best thing about it was that the kids were busy running around the chickens and the corn hole games and the tractor! Would definitely recommend!
Great brewery! They are located on a farm in Accord, NY. It looks like the owners put a lot of thought and care into building the brewery. There is a large patio and lawn area outside with a pavilion type structure. It was cold with snow on the ground when we visited but I can see the outside area being great for families and friends to get together when the weather is nice. The brewery is dog friendly. They had several beers on tap (a nice selection of styles too) and also offer growler fills and bottles to go. The NEIPA Polly was great. Staff was super friendly.
Beautiful place to eat and have some beer in the area. They have awesome chicken sandwiches and chicken wings but are kinda pricey. The staff were kind of rude to my husband and I on two separate encounters, but the scene is perfect for a country town fill. Go around the time when you can see the sunset for a beautiful view and time out. Definitely a gem I wouldn’t want to miss out in if I was in the area.
Visited May, 2018. I hate to give this place a 3/5 review, but wasnt really impressed with the beer.Location, decore and atmosphere were outstanding. Food was provided by a food truck. Choices and prices were great when we visited on a Sunday.Beer was marginal in my opinion. Tasted 5 different beers. Felt the copper and brown ales were too similar. The Saison was fine?, Didnt stand out from others I have tried. The dry Stout was the best of the 5 and was good. They rotate the beers so maybe I was unlucky. Wanted to try the bottled beers, but they only has 1 of 3 on tap.
We went to Arrowood Farm Brewery on a unseasonably warm January evening to track down a beer I had two years earlier. Despite that particular beer no longer being in production the lovely staff helped me find the closest thing. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the beers are fantastic, and although we didnt eat, the food looked really good. I will absolutely visit this place again.
If you’re looking for a place to kick back and relax with a great atmosphere, a great staff, great beer and great food this is the place to go. The farm is a beautiful place to spend the day anytime of the year. The farm brewery is a gorgeous place to visit And a great place to catch some beautiful sunsets. The staff here make you feel welcome and always go above and beyond.
This place is incredible and should be at the top of your list if you are in the area. The first thing I noticed was the amazing atmosphere, they put socially distanced fire pits all over so that you can stay warm while enjoying the beverages and food in the winter. When I saw the beer list I was thrilled because they did not just have a line of IPAs like a lot of breweries these days do. Each beer I tried was unique and well balanced. I did not have a single one that I did not fully enjoy. BUT the real winners were the staff, Maya and Brianna who, on a busy holiday weekend full of annoying and needy tourists (people like me), were insanely nice and attentive to everyone. They were crushing the orders at the bar, serving food like pros, busing tables (that are spaced quite far apart), and keeping all the fires stoked all while being overly cheerful and friendly. If you are in the area and desire good drinks, great atmosphere, and the warmest of hosts then look no further than Arrowood Farms, I will be coming back anytime I am in the area.
Its ok basic brewery. 1 of the bartenders seems annoyed to be working there. Food is pretty good though and prices are decent. The covid form they want you to fill out at the front door is very odd. I get the idea of it and the owners intentions are in the right place but im not a fan of personal information being out in the open where anyone can just get your name number and email.
My family came here for lunch today, and it was great! Everyone was wearing masks and/or socially distanced, so we felt safe. The food was delicious. My husband said his Cuban sandwich was the best one he’d ever had. My kids ate this insane pretzel dipped in the most delicious, salty butter. My husband and I drank beer brewed on site. The staff told us they just opened their restaurant. We look forward to returning. Thanks to the kind staff working there!
What kind of brewery doesnt do flights on the weekends? I didnt drive 45mins to try 1 beer, a sub par one at that.***editing due to owner clarificationIt appears the bartender I spoke with was incorrect about flights. While I wasnt a huge fan of the 1 beer I did try, my burger (which I hadnt had yet at the time I wrote my earlier review) was excellent. Because of that and the clarification, I am changing my rating. I will lilely not be back, however, as I was on vacation when I visited and live nowhere near the brewery. I do appreciate the owner response. Customer service goes a long way.
Really great experience at Arrowood Farms this week. We had our young dog with us, and were able to sit outside at one of the well-spaced picnic tables and enjoy a flight as well as *amazing* food. Ordering inside was handled really well, including covid tracing sign in sheet, hand sanitizer, spacing reminders, etc. We will definitely be back!
Best fried chicken sandwich around! Along with the well thought out details and tastes of everything on the menu, the seasonal specials each week keep getting better and better. I look forward to my weekly meal at the Apiary Kitchen. The week is just not the same without one. ;-)
What a fantastic place! And so close to home. I had no idea it was there. They have a wide variety of beer brewed on site. They also have a stage and have a few concerts and shows through the season. I met the owner and he is a great guy. They are still in the early stage with many exciting additions for the future. Really a hidden gem.
Not sure why we couldnt sit down inside and eat the worst poutin I have ever had. We had to retreat to our car on a cold windy day. Their outdoor fires were nothing more than smoldering not seasoned wood. The barmaid was an alarmist when my wife lowered her mask for a second . Arrowood get your act together please. Its a nice space but their are many others on both sides of the ridge, with better views and product. Get it together!
Awesome spot, can’t miss. Had 3 excellent beers, the Whitfield Road was uniquely delicious. The vibe rules, great chill music and beautiful surrounds. But TBH the hidden secret here is that they serve the worlds best onion rings, go ahead and order 2 orders because omfg they are so good.
We were invited to visit Arrowood for a childrens birthday party. I was not planning on attending the party but when I was informed there was a brewery involved I promptly changed my mind. I am glad I did!We were given the run of a little pavilion with a bar. Two restrooms (non gender specific) were just off the end of the pavilion and we were given 3 picnic tables to use. There was a food truck available as well. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. There were a lot of other people there enjoying the farm and neither we nor they got in each others way. I imagine a few groups could play yard games with plenty of room to spare, but Id make sure this was allowed first. I say this to give you an idea of how big the area is.Theres a small pond with chairs and tables set up and it looks like theres a stage for bands to play when theyre scheduled. Seating is also available near the brewery itself. But what about the beer? The beer is good overall! There were 6 on tap, all made on site. They were a little on the hoppy side, even the ones that werent IPAs. All had a cloudy, amber appearance with lots of flavor. All except the stout, which was a sweet and very dark but not heavy beer.We had a great time and other parents would do well to choose a venue for their next childrens party at a place like this. Lots of space and good, fresh air for everyone and lots of good beer for the adults!
A most excellent local brewery featuring some rare traditional brews such as the outstanding Wild Ale and Brown Ale, along with a few great Saisons and an fantastic high ABV Stout called Bandito. All of which are made with local ingredients combining old world tradition with next generation innovation. Warm friendly atmosphere and staff. Lovely location in the Rondout Valley area.Well worth a visit!!
Went to this place with my wife and a friend....not going back! Tried about three different beers all which were not really that good. The staff working behind the bar were all rude, pompous hipsters. Keep that inferior beer for all the trendees who dont know the difference between Munchen beer and Newark beer. Two thumbs down!

2022-03-20Came here twice because Stonehills- our bed and breakfast nearby- had a trail from their property that you could walk to without drinking and driving home. The menu was tasty and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. Would 100% recommend a sunset dinner or cocktails here.

2021-10-25Stopped by on the drive back down to NYC from a weekend away upstate, and I’m glad I did! Great way to cap off the weekend and enjoy some quality brews along with some welcoming upstate vibes. Very family friendly with a huge outdoor space, you can see the chickens running around and you can buy eggs directly as well. They adhere to Covid protocols indoors which is great. The food is delicious - a bit on the pricier end for a burger or sandwich, but worth it nonetheless as you’ve got a great place to kill a few hours and relax.

2021-10-24My personal favorite is the Polly but they always have some great beers on draft - family and dog friendly too it’s a great spot after a long day hiking or just in general to go and relax - definitely stop by here and also the Westwood cider orchard is literally next door so you can wobbly walk between the two. Food is awesome too.

2022-06-25Absolutely in love with this place. I dont care if youre a meat-eater or a vegan, you MUST try the fried oyster mushrooms. I really appreciate the commitment to sustainable farming practices. The atmosphere on the farm is so relaxing. We really enjoyed walking around and watching the chickens while sipping top-notch cocktails with liquor from the distillery. This must be such a fun place to visit when they have live music. The bartenders were also so friendly and pleasant to talk to.

2021-06-27Lots of outdoor seating, excellent food and beer, and there was live music when we stopped by on a Friday night. Kitchen was a little slow when we went on a Friday but we kept busy with our drinks. Some people brought picnic blankets to sit on the grass too. Overall a great place to hang out with friends and relax, especially on a day that’s not too hot but still warm and sunny.

2022-06-09Fun atmosphere and excellent food. Highly recommend to all, even those with kids. Drinks are well made and staff are very friendly.Single drawback might be accessibility. Everything is gravel paths so those who have mobility issues could face a challenge, but once you reach the main building the floor is concrete and smooth
