As a longtime dealer and collector I have known Howard Rose since the 1980s, and have dealt with Arte Primitivo many times since its inception, both as a consignor and as a bidder. Their eclectic mix of material is always appealing, and their honesty and commitment to authenticity and accurate presentation is above reproach. Arte Primitivo provides a unique and invaluable marketplace for collectors and dealers alike ( and no, this is NOT a paid endorsement LOL. Just well-earned recognition)..

I have dealt with Arte for over twenty years. Most of the pieces I got were better than I expected and if there was any question. He took the piece back. Only once, and made good on it. I think he has a good eye and memory.

I have been dealing with Howard since 1980.I look forward to every auction and enjoy when I can make it to the gallery.I always come out with something-since college.Now,it comes down to designing new shelf space.Dont miss this.

We have purchased from Arte Primitivo for over 20 years. They are the premier dealers in Mesoamerica antiquities. There expertise extends to Egyptian and Chinese antiquities as well . I cannot recommend them highly enough..

I worked with Howard Rose since August 1 1976 at Hes old Gallery on 57th Street and also at Arte Primitivo-Howard S Rose Gallery He has sold me Egyptian antiquities since 1976 He is a great dealer in Egyptian and Pre-Columbian Art He was a dealer since October 1 1971 Howard expertise is in Pre-Columbian Art. He is also a good friend, He is a friend at THE PEOPLES MUSEUM since April 6th 1999 and HAMMER PICTURES since March 13th 2017 Founder and President Mark Allen Sepanski, and the staff is great also. too Howard and staff I cannot recommend them highly enough.

It is a small department. You are served by a person who is not fit for interpersonal relationships. I thought it was a gallery, its just a room in a little house.
