Artel Hotel Times Square in New York
The rooms are very small, but for just me and my partner for one night it wasn’t bad. Not a ton of storage so if you plan an extended stay, be wary of that. Elevators smelled like mildew and rotting eggs, very weird. Other than that, the room was clean, the bathroom was well stocked, and the staff were kind.
They did not provide any housekeeping service during our stay. The room did not have any trash cans. The WiFi service wasn’t good enough. It kept connecting and disconnecting once in a while. The room did not have coffee maker. They did not provide us with any breakfast. The safe that was in the room did not work. The toilet kept running water. The sliding door at the lobby worked every other day. I don’t recommend it.
Writing this in absolute frustration!! I booked a 4 night stay and left early due to a family emergency. I was told that if I contacted the site that I booked with (hotels.com) and they confirmed with this hotel I’d get my refund… the staff DENIED that I checked out and there were no notes left on my account upon checking out…? Not only this but the floors are insanely dirty and shower drains clogged… will definitely not be recommending this place, I’ve been at MOTELS nicer.
We stayed at Artel hotel for 3 nights. Our room wasnt serviced at all due to shortage of staff. We asked for a quiet room, we were put in a very small corridor, 4 rooms only, close to the elevator, with a gang of young people populating all other 3 rooms in the floor, going in and out and shouting until 5:30am. The water in the bathroom were running non stop. The bathroom door was squawking very loudly waking all of us whenever one had to use the bathroom during the night and not fixed even following complaints. Generally speaking the room is tiny, noisy, and not well maintained. Certainly not worth over $300 per night that we paid.
We loved our location, comfortable enough beds, tv, cheap. If you’re going to see anything on Broadway it’s perfect. Very small but has everything you need, I suggest bringing bottled water though. It was our birthdays and I asked if they could do something nice and they got us pastries from Angelina’s bakery! I was so greatful. We even went back for more before we left!!! They also gave us a late checkout which was nice. Thanks Artel!!!!
I NEED MANAGEMENT TO REACH OUT TO ME ASAP! I have an upcoming reservation made through booking.com, I had an issue a couple days ago with booking not sending my reservation to the property, so to avoid showing up to this hotel with 2 small children and running into issues AGAIN, I am trying to confirm my reservation. When I try calling the number listed for this location it says it is disconnected. I called Red Roofs 800 number and they said they do not see my reservation. I called booking and they said it has all been confirmed. I need someone to reach out to me regarding this asap please. Thank you
Positive: Quick elevator, convenient to 9th Av restaurants, buffered from street noise, overall clean room. Staff provided us with mini-fridge on our request - very nice. Negative: Grubby concrete floor partially covered by even grubbier carpet, lack of closet space, lack of coffee maker, TV was broken and radio had poor reception. Psychotic neighbors were constantly caterwauling. Coffee avail. in funky-smelling basement.
My stay in the Artel hotel was extremely good. Check in very quick and easy. No lines only 4 rooms on the floor so it feels very private. I love the decoration, lighting and set up of the room. Room as well as hotel super clean. The bed I just wish I can take home with me. Finally very hot water with strong stream which isn’t always the case. Of course they are also had no problem to store your bags which is a big problem in other hotels recently. Personnel of the hotel very, very friendly and helpful with anything and I believe I got set of playing cards from the owner who happens to be there.Shortly it’s def the max. 10 points for me.This is going to be my stop in the city from now on!!!!Truly recommend🏆❤️
Best service ever I love how they treat me the location was so perfect we were so close from the subways walk distance to Broadway Times Square the rooms were Bigger than I expected the decoration was nice and modern we have the view of New York Times building and it was absolutely convenience they have free water and coffee! But the best part is Mayelin I lost my Apple Watch and she got it to me they ship it all the way to Georgia I super appreciate it
Late check in at 3 returned at 4 room still not ready. No refrigerator or microwave, and very low LIGHT in the room. If u dont want internet service ask for my room 1402 but the beds were very comfortable. Im checking out by 9:15 am. So that offer does not apply to me. While you riding the elevator hold ur breath, someone needs to disinfect the elevator.
This place is amazing and a hidden gem in Times Square. Close to everything there is to do in the city. The staff was super nice, helpful, very patient and very knowledgeable of the area. My room was decent size the bed was SOOOOO COMFY ! they have a nice little outdoor area in the back that you can just hangout to catch some air. Housekeeping does an amazing job cleaning. I can’t wait to come back to the city this will my go to every time. By the way way the view from the 19th floor facing 42nd street is amazing !
Hotel staff was great. My room not so much. Edge of floor where the walls meet need a serious cleaning. Dried splashed drink on the wall close to the head of the bed. Bed was an uncomfortable experience.. edges no support. Middle of bed raised.. too much wear & tear. Needs replaced. Cost of the room was cheap. Close to Times Square. Free wifi. Free coffee & ice water. Front outside patio bar could use some painting & fixing up. Same with outdoor back patio. Run down & in need of a little TLC. Floor to elevators is a green astroturf that makes a soggy sound when you walk on it. Bathroom in room is very nice..hot water& nice shower head.
This is the place to go in NYC ! The staff is amazing. I loved that everyone always smiles and greets you no matter how many times you walk through the door. These people make you feel comfortable and at home. Cant wait to come back! Free coffee in the morning is a PLUSSSS ! See you soon
Booked on Priceline and stayed at this hotel on September 11, 2021. Terrible mistake and horrible experience! This hotel was my worse experience in NYC. The room was very small with 4 college style bunk beds for two adults. Dirty elevators, hallways, and unprofessional staff. If you’re foolish enough to book with them, make sure to call them and confirm the type of room they will offer you. If they failed to appropriately accommodate you, don’t believe a word about any discount they plan on offering you…. False advertisements and promises of discounts. Don’t believe the pictures you see online! The management and staff will promise you between 20% or 50% discount just to get you to leave. They blamed Priceline for their screw up. It wasn’t Priceline, the problem. DO NOT RECOMMEND! STAY AWAY! DON’T RUIN your NYC experience!
First, our arrival at the hotel was quite comfortable and easy. But as soon as we entered the room, we were disappointed. The room was extremely small for us. Room 101 has a problem, absolutely everything that happens in the lobby is heard in the room. The bed where I slept the top head was broken, the hair dryer didn’t work, I hope they didn’t charge it to me. The price of the night should be adjusted, is somewhat excessive. Now with the good things. The room was cleaned every day, towels were changed daily and ours beds were fixed daily. I must applaud that. The hotel is quite central to the different tourists areas. The employees were very attentive and cordial. In itself we had a good time, I can recommend the hotel if the person who is going to stay will not be in the room all the time. But I do recommend the hotel management to improve the things I just wrote.
We arrived on a Friday. The entrance decor met the description of the pics online; however the hotel is much much smaller than anticipated. Our room (2 bunks) was VERY small and didn’t offer much space for luggage-no closet. The top bunk was broken and we were afraid that it would collapse at any moment onto my friend on the bottom bunk. The room was filthy (dust Bunnies everywhere, thin sheets and cheap decor) wonky-circus mirror and very thin walls. The cleaning person removed all washcloths and front desk was unresponsive to get more; forced to use the medium sized towels. On the second night, we were locked out of our room for hours because the fire department locked the elevator after rescuing an entrapped guest. We were on a high floor traveling with individual with health issues, so no stairs. We waited in the small/cold lobby for hours as we witnessed front desk staff repeatedly lie to guests about the situation. We were promised a credit that has yet to appear. HORRIBLE stay!!
Nice hotel, small; yet efficient room. Come 11am youre woken up by housekeeping, cleaning other rooms, even if you agree to a late check out.You get no shampoo or conditioner shower. Shower water pressure was extremely low.Door keys did not work for main entrance for late night entrance. There are 2 Internet tablets in the room which face the beds. I didnt feel safe with having their built-in cameras face us as we got undressed.:::: Positive points ::::Cool artistic boutique entrance.Location near Times square.Rooms seem clean.Coat HangersBeds are comfy
Its situated in a great area for getting to restaurants, shopping, sightseeing etc. The entrance is lovely with the two horse statues. Staff very friendly! However, the rooms really need drastic renovations, such as painting, door to bathroom, the shower stall curtain smells should be removed and replaced with glass doors, not sure whats on the floor it looks like a really old carpet runner.... The cleaning staff should check electrical outlets to make sure they are workable, soap containers refilled after previous guests leave. Lobby needs a facelift as well!I can see it must have been a really nice Hotel when it was first opened but was not properly maintained!!
Recently visited NYC and chose to stay at this hotel all I can say is PACK LIGHTLY these rooms are so so tiny. The pictures shown on are not accurate at all. My room had the bunk beds the water pressure from the shower was not good and weak and the room was hot, humid and the air conditioner will not allow you to keep it running to keep the room cool and there is only 1 elevator that works. The ambiance is decent and the staff is mediocre. Location was good but I will not stay here again. Way too costly for what you get... The restaurant across the street which I believe is called Rattle and Hum was Amazing..
We stayed from the 26-30 and had a wonderful stay. They didn’t have a surplus of amenities but were super accommodating and friendly every time we entered the lobby, and were always told “welcome back” as soon as they saw us enter. We will definitely be staying here next year. The rooms are small, but no smaller than the norm when you are staying in NYC, and the room was clean. What more can you ask for?
The rating is purely based on the location & pricing of this hotel. This is very close to Time Square (Less than 10 mins of walking). Rooms are kind of small but clean, have towels & basic toiletries. There wasnt a coffee maker in our room. The folks on the reception were very helpful. We had the room on the first floor so there was some noise for the visitors moving in & out but it wasnt too disturbing in the night. Being on the first floor around Times Square wouldnt allow you to get nice views even if you have windows open so no complain on that part, plus who stays in the hotel through out the day when you are visiting NYC. :P They do have room service for breakfast & lunch(I guess) from a 3rd party with additional charge if you are interested.
It was perfect for what we needed and the staff were all wonderful. We stayed in late October. The location is perfect as youre about a five minute walk from times Square. The rooms are on the smaller side but the four of us managed fine and we found we werent in the rooms most of the time regardless. My parents got stuck in the lift and they were very accommodating and apologetic (it was truely no issue at all and a funny end to the holiday. I believe the lift got fixed? We would definitely stay again on return to New York.
Worst hotel experience i ever had so far in my life. The rooms are nice and comfortable but the staff is who make the strongest impression on you, thats the case this time. The audacity to treat people as a dirt for something that they are responsible is beyond myself. Either the race or phobia they have problem or ignorance or laziness but never ever. If my stay in this city would be based on this experience Id would never cross the city limit. I am trying real hard to choose my words right now.
The location was perfect to be honest but unfortunately they dont clean the rooms properly. We stayed 8days and they never changed the bed sheets and the used towels Were never changed althought we put them extra aside so they can change it but unfortunately i noticed the towels they just fold back to the basket in the bathroom without changing them.Very small room no cabinets difficult to move specially when you have big luggages.People were screaming outside the room one employee came all of the sudden open our room.
This is a great hotel! We had a very sweet, fun room with bunk beds. The lower bunks had separate charging stations and each held a tablet that you can use with your own streaming services. We found the hotel staff to be funny and very helpful! I would stay here again!
Absolutely unique hotel experience!Love everything about this place:1. Super convenient location (steps away from Port Authority and 42nd Street Subway Hub, 5 minutes walking from Times Square and Penn Station).2. Friendly and helpful staff. I felt so welcome there from the moment I first stepped in.3. Rooms are awesome! Clean, smartly furnished and beautifully decorated with tons of light and everything you might need for a comfortable stay. Decent and very good size for New York City (trust me, I’ve seen enough. Lol.). Concrete floors look just great: fresh and clean (I’m just a carpet-floors hater), plus they provide with slippers. I saw they have bunk-beds rooms and is a great idea for those who travel with the kids or for a group of friends!Overall this place surpassed all my expectations and I highly recommend it to everyone!
Absolute disaster. They didn’t have the room I booked so we were give a room on floor 1, which is a “service area” , with all storages, loud staff playing music and shouting in the middle of the night. The room next to ours was a party room for them. The air conditioning is set to an insanely cold temperature and the staff isn’t pleasant or willing to solve the problem. The manager tried but the sincerity wasn’t his strength. Some shady people are guests of this hotel. A lot of homeless people and trash in front of the hotel. No window in the room, which looks like it has been robbed from all decorations, lights, mirrors. We could order food but there was no phone and at the front desk they told us to go back to the room and call. very questionable cleaness. Never again!
I don’t understand the bad reviews. Got to the hotel early and was hoping to leave the luggage there. The guy at the desk said we could but he would check to see if he had a room available now. We were able to upgrade to a king from a bunk bed and check in early. The rooms were really nice and modern. Quick walk to time square and the subway. They offered free champagne in the lobby one night we were there. I would stay here again.
One elevator working. Tired rooms with a hostel feel but great location clean comfy bed. Soft pillows. Not much else to say.So the company emailed a reply and asked if I could call them and talk about my review. I called left a message. And 3 weeks later still no follow up from them. Like I said clean bed great location just a tired hotel
We booked a bunk style room so that our 2 teenaged boys could have their own beds. The room was not as nice as the photograph on website. There was no room for our suitcases. Room was very small. Bedding was one pillow, one sheet and one thin well used blanket per bed. Along with the concrete floors I honestly felt like I was staying in a prison cell. Can’t even see the tv from the beds. There’s a mirror above you on the lower bunk. Just such an odd room. More of a hostel style. Wouldn’t have been surprised if the bathroom was shared with other guests on the same floor. Bathroom was small. No counter space. Stayed one night then moved to another hotel.
It’s a dirty hotel. I arrived and one bed was used. Instead of putting me into a different hotel room, they brought up new sheets. I asked for the entire bed to be changed since it was used prior without being cleaned and was told there were no maids. After a six hour drive I had to personally change the bedding and they didn’t even replace everything. There were loud noises above us all night. I complained and I still heard loud banging like if there was a party going on all night, it stopped at 5:30 am. Not to mention the door looked as if someone tried to jam it open. I also was told that they’d put a hold on my card, but it would be released the next day. Then a rude receptionist stated that it will be up to 10 days. This is definitely the worst place I’ve ever stayed in. I wish I read the online reviews first before booking it on here. I’m disappointed with booking for overrating this hotel.
(((ADVICE DONT BOOK HERE)))Everything about the hotel is wrong except the location, let me explain the positive and negative points.Positive: location in the middle of the time square.Negative : staff careless and some of them are rude, housekeepers are not avalible, room are extremely small, elevators and facilities are dirty.I didnt used to write a bad review, during my check-in front desk want to charge a deposit 1350 $. However, they should only hold 25$ per day then,it was a mistake from them, unprofessional!
Do not book here. I have gotten way better customer service at cheap hotels than this “high end boutique” establishment. The customer service was awful both over the phone and in person. The hotel did not let us know there was water damage before hand, changed our room reservation to a less expensive room and lied saying that the two bunks beds we got was a better room than two queen beds I had reserved. No apology was ever given for the inconveniences and miscommunication. This isn’t how you run a hotel.
Stayed on Sat & Sun paid $560 really cheap for the location. Check in time was 3pm I arrived earlier 1pm staff let me store my luggage till i check in at 3pm so git time to explore the city. Room was small 2 bunk beds able to sleep 4 people there was 3 of us that stayed. Free wifi with 3 small tablets available for you to used. No issue with the AC bathroom was a good size with rain shower head and body wash / shampoo connected to shower wall. Rolled up Towells under neath the sink. FYI You can hear the traffic noise from the street If thats bugs you move on to another hotel. Hotel elevator works well in the lobby you can get free reverse osmosis water. Room was small but no issue because we spent our two days out of the hotel doing tour bus. The hotel is walking distance to 7 eleven starbucks and plenty of nearby place to eat. Top View Tour Bus boarding stop very near and we easily went to time square very easy. At the begining i thought a taxi or uber is needed but we did the exploring by walking around the city and by using the tour bus. I have read allot of bad reviews of this placeDuring our stay staff was nice no attitude noticed . Our big problem was our check out is 11am and our flight is at 430pm we ask the staff to keep our luggage for the meantine after check out they agreed. Our stay at this hotel was great perfect location clean bed no issue on bathroom negative side small room and noise from traffic can be heard keep in mind this area is downtown so allot of homeless outside the building so as throughout the city. All thr negative did not bother me will definitely stay here again on my next visit .
I really liked this place. Very nice design and style. It was a very good location at a great price. My and my wife were visiting from out of state and wanted to stay close to times square (where all the excitement was) so this hotel was perfect, less then a five minute walk approx. Overall, I am looking forward to my next trip to New York and would definitely come back to Lord and Morris.
This hotel is so much more smaller then how it shows on the picture. I was promised a queen room and on the day of the arrival, they said no queens avalible. the whole reason I booked was because of the two queens, and now no queens. The over all customer service is terrible, rooms are very tiny. You can defintly get a better room wiith the amount you pay for this hotel. I would not recommand this place to anyone.
We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was really friendly, especially Justin who was really helpfull. The rooms where a bit on the small side. Luckely we like eachother, otherwise we would have had a lot of drama. So remember before you book a room here make sure to actualy like your friends. Also you should like your friends anyway ;)This is not a room for spoiled brats xoxo Belgian gossip girls
Clean bed, good location, good price. There are neat hip things, but its a pretty bare bones operation. If thats all you need, its perfect. The only issue really was very early in the morning, you could hear staff in the hallways very clearly. It felt as if the walls were paper.
This hotel is good if you are only looking for a clean room to sleep and shower. Recently it changed from Confort Inn to Lord and Moris and there are definitely issues with reservations, i saw people complaining about this and the staff was not very friendly, thats why I give it 4-stars. its close to times square and other NYC attractions within walking distance.
I want to give this hotel zero stars. I booked and paid for two rooms through Ebates in April. The hotel then charged us upon check out for same two rooms. The decor is horrible, the staff aloof, the entire place is shady. We have been unable to reach anyone to correct the duplicate charges because no one answers the phone and the mailbox is full. Ebates has had the same experience. Also, your room will not be ready upon check in, do not leave your luggage. We saw people going through held guest luggage. This hotel is a nightmare.
If youre looking for somewhere reasonable to stay near Times Square, you certainly cant go wrong here. The rooms are overally clean and have plenty of USB and wall plugs. The street its on is rather quiet and we slept fine. The reception staff were welcoming. The location more than makes up for anything else, there is a great deal of resteraunts and sites nearby which meant we walked most places such as Central Park and the Intrepid.
Tiniest room ever! No room between the beds. They dont offer breakfast as per my reservation and there was no coffee maker. Sheets were dirty on arrival. Took an hour to get someone to chanfe them. was there 6 days requested clean sheets towels and face cloths more than once. Got clean towels, a bed remade with dirty sheets and no face cloths. Hotel had ants in the 18th floor.Zero security in the luggage room. check it in with tags, but let us in to pick it up unattended and didnt see that we didnt take others. Other bags wrre seen left alone in the lobby with tags during our stay.Location was great 45$ cab from airport LaGuardia. 10 mins walk to times square. Paid 220$ a night for it and it was good value, but with the boutique style they are going for and the lack of amenities I would go somewhere else before i paid more than that.
Great location, but that is about it. The elevators are horribly slow, the cleaning staff felt it was ok to cram a huge rolling cart in the elevator with me and my bags making it almost impossible to get out of and then continued to call me ‘hun’ the whole time. I took the stairs to get back down because aftern10 minutes of waiting I decided it was easier. The icing on the cake was the “shampoo” they have in the shower stripped all of the color out of my hair!!! Color that I had for all of 2 weeks is now all gone because of whatever is in those bottles. The only plus was the mattress was comfortable. But I guess you get what you pay for and I should know better.
This place is listed as a crashpad in hoteltonight, and I definitely see what theyre talking about. That being said, this is the nicest crashpad Ive been to so far. The location is amazing for the price regardless, as you can see New York Times and some of the Times Square billboards one block over. I dont care for the blinds that are half way opened with no string on it. Lack of privacy and it almost seems as if when the sun is up, they want you to not be able to sleep in. Other than that it was clean. Decent place.
Horrible experience. We were taken care of by the attendant Tayane and she was having a problem with another guest. I do not know what it was, but she was screaming at him. Ive never seen this situation. When it came to our turn she did not want to talk to us, she treated us so rudely that we thought all the hotels were that way in NY. He treated our little girl who did the translation with total disdain. She was in trouble with someone else, not with us. We went away from the hotel to never tread or recommend this place.
Location is ideal , rooms are ok , bathroom needs updating but for the price it works EXCEOT the housekeeping staff are incredibly loud !! Besides screaming every morning not caring about other guests and the time , they slam doors and I mean slam . Been here for 4 days so far and very morning its the same thing . They knock on doors pretty loud and scream to each other as well . Since the building has one elevator at this time they use the stairway to have access to other floors and they use stairwell door which slams even louder . So if you are a light sleeper or just want to stay in bed a bit longer .... forget this place for that ! Never again for me !
My sister and I came for our birthday as a weekend get away to go see the Tyler Perry play. Theybwere so nice and greeted us everytime we left or came back. So helpful with directions and food spots. Rooms were nice which led my sister to choose them was for our birthstone color. Emerald green which was the color scheme. Just booked for my daughters birthday and for Christmas vacation. I cant wait.
Good attempt at smartening place up with fake brass edging and polishing the old concrete floors etc. Not great finishes (DIY level) but everything practical and need to applaud for trying it anyway. Good features like filtered water in front of artifical green wall. Ipads on all beds and charging stations which are good touches. Rooms for sleeping only really but that was fine for us
Great location and very accommodating. My son and I had a blast! We loved that we were within walking distance to Times Square. He and I decided at the last minute, that we wanted to take a trip to NYC, and Lord & Moris was perfect! They were able to accommodate us, their location is ideal, and the cost of the room was affordable. Win, win, win!!
If you are going to New York on a budget this is your spot! Quick access to Times Square, 3 lefts out the door there is a subway station, Hells Kitchen Deli on 8th Ave with made to order breakfast and multiple bars on the block. The staff is pleasant and efficient. Our room with bunk beds on the 3rd floor was cozy with plenty of room..There are a few homeless on the block but the hotel cannot control this. It took us 20 minutes on the subway & bus from LGA. Do not let the bad reviews scare you!
Very cozy, rooms are not too big and not too small, the prices are great and its close to Times Square (although thats not a good place to go if you are visiting New York. See it once, but dont spend too much time there as everything there is overpriced, and made like that only for tourists. Take the boat ride around the Statue of Liberty, the guide there will gladly name a lot of places you can go visit to get the real feel of New York, and also things you can do if you stay there)
We stayed in a family room for about 8 days.Positive note the absolutely central location, right next to the Port Authority subways and a stones throw from Times Square and Broadway, we stayed on the 14th floor, which is considerably quiet (guests aside).Absolutely efficient Wi-Fi.24-hour coffee service in the hotel lobby. The room does not meet the standards of a family room, it is small for 4 people, there is no physical space even for suitcases, and also does not have a wardrobe. The bed is uncomfortable, too soft, and the pillows are too high. there is little lightAbsent daily cleaning (although not having expressed the renunciation of cleaning). Beds never made, in the morning there is only a change of towels. There is no maintenance of the toilet (dated), with a malfunctioning toilet and a half-broken toilet. In our room the shower / tub got full because it was blocked. The staff are not very talkative.I absolutely do not feel like recommending it.
If you are only interested in sleeping, and being close to the center, it works. But it has many factors that make it worth paying a little more, there is no room service, they dont come to clean the room unless you ask, you dont change your towels unless you ask. However, the hotel staff is very friendly and they try to understand you even if you dont speak their language. And not much more so as not to make the review so long.
The location is okay, and the sanitary conditions are okay. Its just that the smell in the elevator is too unpleasant. The door and the door frame do not fit, so the sound insulation is not good, and the sound of the elevator entrance can be heard clearly in the room. The most important thing is: the wireless network is too bad, too bad! ! The staff are very enthusiastic and nice. The bed is also quite comfortable. Based on the price of more than one hundred, it can be considered as cost-effective. The room is small, only for the children to experience the bunk bed before they moved in.
We were able to spend 10 nights in this hotel located in the center of Times Square, pleasant personal room equipped with toilet + shower. The only problem at the end of the trip is parking by car, I strongly advise you not to park in front of the hotel even if the staff will tell you otherwise.
Very well located for tourists, since it is a few blocks from Times Square and has many means of transport nearby. The area at night is a bit dirty and noisy (and during the day too), if you want something quieter I would go more to the Soho side, Chelsea, etc, but if you go for a few days it is ideal! The room is very nice and clean, the bed and the shower are excellent. The cleaning people are very loving, but the receptionist is rough and rude at times. For the price it is very good and I would choose it again!
A truly horrendous experience. We arrived with the best expectations and on the 3rd day of our stay a Rat entered our room. Nobody gave us any answer except to change our room and they didnt even help us get our things while the Rat was going around the room. A disaster!!!!!!
Very well located hotel in time square. The staff are welcoming. The bedding is very comfortable, too bad the bedroom floor is rough concrete with a slightly worn carpet. The bathroom is a bit dated, but functional. Some maintenance problems are to be deplored in the hotel but nothing serious.
So far good, good location and generally quite clean. It is strange that the beds are not made when you arrive, only a bottom sheet and the top one and a folded blanket at the foot of the bed. The receptionist told me that the lower rooms are bigger than the ones on the upper floors, watch out for that. In general good, the reception is good vibes and they also have a good bathroom. I think the price-quality ratio is good. Beware that Booking does not clearly show you that the final price must be added municipal and federal tax, which is still 15% more or thereabouts. I found out when checking inn and it was a good blow.
Quality hotel. Room with very nice decoration, very comfortable bed and functional bathroom, good window insulation (although noise is omnipresent in New York). Welcoming and smiling staff and just brilliant location.Only negative point to remember, some hair found in the shower and on the pillows, as well as small stains on the sheets but nothing serious.
An ideal place both for location and price. We went on a trip with friends. The service staff is very friendly. As for the room, it must be said that it is basic, everything is clean, but if you are looking for glamor and you are demanding this would not be the best option. For our part, delighted and very happy.
Very disapointed. I do not recommend this hotel. Go your way. Not very clean and very poor service. Small room with little storage. Bad value for money. Common areas gloomy and bad smells. In shortThe only positive point is the smile of the staff but of no use if the service is so bad.
A week in a tiny room without being able to go around .. on one side the wall on the other side an air-conditioning motor that was leaking ...And in front of the bed no place. On the ground of raw concrete. In comparison bathroom correct ...Friendly staff ...I still wait for the van ordered from France to pick us up at the airport ....Coming regularly to Ny I do not know where I would go but I know where I would not go ....Too bad because the situation is ideal ... but I think that at this price we can wait for another benefit ..
Hotel next to Times Square. They have coffee and you get free all day at reception. It is ideal to visit new york. The room for 4 people has two large beds, they clean and change the towels every day. Very economical. Yes, you retain 1000 dollars of the card when you arrive and you return them the last day.
I do not recommend the hotel since when we arrived at the establishment they told me that they could not deliver the room because the beds were not ready and they canceled my reservation. I arrived at the establishment at 23:00 and one hour later the receptionist told me that they could not give me the room because there was no one to put the sheets on the beds, but they told me that there were other hotels nearby, giving me to understand that I was looking for another option on my own being already midnight.

2022-03-27Hotel staff was super friendly and helpful. They allowed us to leave our bags there while we went to our show and even offered to checked to see if our room was ready so we could check in early and even after checking out. The room was small which was to be expected. The beds were surprisingly comfortable. Best night of sleep I’ve had in a long time. The only down side was the walls were paper thin, the room could have used a bit more cleaning as there was hair all over the floors, and the shower was cold to lukewarm. The staff and the super comfortable beds is why I chose 4 and not 3 stars. Also the price was great and it’s close to everything.

2022-07-07Very fast check-in, great location, great price! Enjoyed the stay. We read a lot if the reviews and they were mixed, but since staying one night decided to book the room. Everything we were going to was less than a 10 min walk including train station. Loved that we were able to drop off our luggage at 9:30 am and not have to keep it with us throughout the day. We were also able to take a quick nap between shows and bed was comfy. I think we will stay again for a 1-2 night stay.

2022-02-17Perfect place to stay to see all that nyc has to offer. It’s walking distance to Times Square which is great. The room is just what you see in pictures and the bed is super comfortable. Tommy at the front desk made us feel so welcomed when we came in and made sure everything was set into place for us. Would definitely come back again!

2022-04-18The only reason i gracefully gave this hotel a 1 is because the bed are comfy. Other than that the rooms are terrible! THESE ROOMS ARE TINY! They do not even have dressers or a closet to put your luggage a valuables in. They had a mini fridge and a microwave just shoved to the side of the room. the Junior suite is equipped with bunk beds and a king bed. it was just my boyfriend and I so we used the bunk beds as drawers. The room didnt even have a garbage can! It is not worth the amount i paid for. the phone did not work either. housekeeping made the bed up like a 5 year old. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!

2022-04-20A hidden gem in the Garment District. We booked here because of the pricing, and due to issues with the requested double queen room, were provided two king rooms on the same floor for the same price. The staff were incredible, very friendly and helpful. The rooms were small but clean, comfortable, and quiet. The hotel is also managed by Red Roof Inn, if youre a member of their points program.

2022-04-15Everything is great. Stuff is awesome. Location perfect. Free coffee, tee and milk. Floor in the rooms should be renovated and that will bring whole experience on the higher level. Hotel is clean and very near to the Times Square and subway lines.

2022-04-13So first thing it is NOT kid friendly! The space is super small, very sharp corners on furniture(which wasn’t much)The bed did not have mattress protectors, which for a “kid place” you know there WILL BE SPILLS, &/or accidents. The room did not have a fridge or microwave. There was not a closet, there was really no where to put your things other than in the corners beside the bed.The restroom door and room door are at an angle towards each other. So we were bumping into each other a lot.The floor is cement with a carpet thrown on top.The pictures are deceiving!! The room is tiny. There is no hang out spot, there is no room for a child to run unless they want a concussion.Where you get ice in the basement stinks like old nasty water and it is a very strong smell. The only good things were, it was right beside Times Square && The lady at the front desk with the braided hair was very nice.

2022-01-18Very nice contemporary hotel. Tiny rooms, like most budget hotels in Manhattan but very clean with SUPER-COMFORTABLE beds. Just a block off Times Square so the location in great if you wanna be anywhere in Central Manhattan. Recommend highly.

2021-12-30Price was low. Bunk style beds are comfortable only if you are a back sleeper. Too thin and stiff for side sleepers. No water or tea at the front. When we asked the people at the front desk for more hot water for the tea at the front desk they said they would need to get housekeeping to get more hot water. Thats where the interaction ended because they acted like they didnt know how to contact housekeeping as if we were asking for the hot water to be replenished and were expecting no action? This is the type of customer service I would expect from a teenager. The front door also was broken when we were there and we needed to push it manually which wasnt too big ofa deal.
