Artist Pianos in other cities:
Artist Pianos is a first rate store with excellent products, management, and customer service. But more than that, they are truly friends and supporters of the musical community in upstate NY as well as the Albany area. They donate the use of their wonderful instruments for concerts sponsored by the non profit musical organizations in the area. I have many times benefitted from their assistance as a pianist performing with these groups. My students and friends who have purchased instruments from them have always been completely satisfied, and the instruments are beautifully prepped before delivery. Though I am very happy with my own personal instrument, were I to purchase a new piano it would most certainly be from Artist Pianos
Five years ago, we purchased a digital piano from Artist Pianos. It was such a good experience, we returned when we were looking to add an acoustic piano. We fell in love with a baby grand, and Jo Beth made it affordable. I cannot overstate how incredible their customer service was. Scott (who is not only knowledgeable, but incredibly patient) came in and opened the store for us—not once, but TWICE. One of those times was to point out a blemish he had found on the piano we had already purchased. He offered us options, and called after the piano was delivered to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. We are MORE than satisfied with the piano (which we are in love with), the customer service (which is second to none), and the entire buying experience. I only wish more companies had this kind of customer service!
I have bought two pianos from Artist Pianos in the past year! One for myself and one for my mother. Scott Schroeter, the manager was incredibly informative, patient and efficient. My mother and I had different needs in a piano and on each occasion Scott listened to what we were looking for and narrowed our choices to the most likely options, saving us time and confusion (there are many options to choose from.) In each case, we found the perfect piano! Delivery of the new piano was prompt and professional and removal of our previous pianos was also a breeze. I highly recommend Artist Piano!!!!!!!
Im so glad I went through artist pianos in Syracuse to buy my first Steinway. I have never worked with anyone more professional and friendly as Scott Schroder. I told him what I was looking for and he emailed me months later with my dream piano! My friend bought a piano off if Craigs List for $300... Have fun with your hunk of junk! This used piano is the most lovely instrument Ill ever own.
I located Artist Pianos on the internet. My wife and I had been shopping for mostly used/refurbished Steinways. Our family traveled with us to the East Syracuse location. Scott was incredibly helpful and very intelligent on all aspects of the Steinway product. I had many questions. He answered all of them, and I felt very comfortable with his explanations. None of us ever felt pressured into purchasing a brand new Steinway. Scott was the furthest thing from a slick salesman. He simply provided extremely helpful and truthful information about these gorgeous pianos. We were allowed to explore both used and new Steinways. After several hours of playing and questioning, my wife finally decided on a brand new grand. It fits perfectly in our living room, and the overtones sound more brilliant each day it is played...... an incredible instrument with a personality all its own. A very special thank you to my mother and father-in-law for being a major part in this incredible addition to our household. My dog Brandy loves to be played to sleep every night.
I loved piano shopping with Syracuse Artist Pianos! It was so easy, so informative, great pianos, great deals. They made me (and my young rambunctious daughter) feel completely at home, and took as much time with us as we needed. They helped me find two great instruments for two families I work with. I will definitely be shopping with them again!
I hosted a duo piano concert at Hamilton College, our annual Fallcoming Jazz event. The caliber of players, Dick Hyman and Rossano Sportiello, demanded two superlative and matched pianos. The music faculty at Hamilton had passed on very good reviews of their past dealing with Artist Pianos of Syracuse so I called them. Scott was very helpful and we ended up renting two 9 Steinways at a very reasonable fee. I could not have been more pleased with the service and with their recommended movers, Carney & Blumer. Our event was a musical success, due in large part to the magnificent instruments. I highly recommend Artist Pianos when you are staging an important musical event.Monk RoweFillius Jazz ArchiveHamilton CollegeClinton NY
Please allow me to express my recommendation of Artist Pianos to others. I had the freedom to get to know the instrument before I made the decision to purchase. I was able to visit the showroom several times without judgement, pressure, or attitude. They supported me with well informed answers to both technical and music-oriented questions. I am completely pleased with the value and quality of the instrument, and the care I received as a buyer. Best of all, I love playing my piano. Tim Kerbow
I cannot speak highly enough about Artist Pianos and Scott Schroeter. Scott was patient, always taking as much time as needed to answer questions and understand my needs. I never felt pressured or rushed throughout the process. In the end, he found a piano that was a perfect fit and it was delivered and set up as promised.Highly recommended!

2020-09-11My lifelong dream of getting a grand piano has been recently fulfilled at Artist Piano.I already knew the store as a good neighborhood business as they kindly welcomed me to practice with their Steinway in the past. Although amateur, I loved playing their Steinway concert grand and just couldn’t give up on having my own grand. When the store had a big re- opening sale, they loaned me a paper template to see whether my small living room can accommodate a baby grand on the sales list.General manager at their Albany store was a Knowledgeable professional who was able to articulate the excellent conditions the piano has despite its age. He also knew how to motivate a customer toward a big ticket purchase without a sales pressure. He even offered 3 week free trial and free one year storage for my upright piano.Scott at the Syracuse store provided an excellent work for voicing and regulating to bring out the full potential of the piano. He was very thorough and applied his Steinway trained skills to deliver the piano in a better condition than when I first tried it in Albany.I am glad I bought my dream instrument at the local store where I can receive support & services, rather than at an auction or on the internet.Never stop dreaming and it’s never too late for one’s dream come true.

2020-04-14If you are looking for a piano, I highly recommend Artist Pianos. Artist Pianos offers the variety of quality pianos (types and price points) for every level of pianist and the knowledgeable assistance for your purchase. Scott, at the Syracuse store, is an incredible wealth of information and patience. He is able to explain the many piano components and how/why the components are important - including the pluses and minuses. Scott is understanding, and willing to work with customers to meet their specific needs. Customers are not pressured to make a fast decision, or a selection that is not within the purchase criteria. I found my purchase process with Artist pianos to be very enjoyable. Would definitely select Artist Pianos again.

2021-12-16Recently purchased a new Kawai DG30 from Artist Pianos. Scott was a huge help. He brought a number of factors to my attention to make sure I was choosing the best option for me, without pushing in any one direction. Delivery was arranged from their Latham location to my home in Binghamton. Would highly recommend Artist Pianos

2020-08-19I recently had the pleasure of purchasing a used piano from Artist Pianos. I had an odd situation, and was unable to physically visit the store. Scott worked with me to find the perfect piano, and sent me plenty of pictures and information on the piano I was interested in. The entire process from researching to delivery was very efficient, and the staff was helpful with every step.

2020-01-22After doing some research online, I wanted to try out the Kawais, which are widely considered to have the best keyboard action for a digital piano. Scott was extremely helpful and accomodating, even having a piano shipped from their other store so I could compare against a piano they had in the store. Being a naturally curious person, asked a lot of questions, and Scott was more than happy to spend the time teaching me all about pianos. I made 3 visits to the store trying to decide which piano to purchase, and each time, Scott was very patient, and willing to spend time answering questions, or even just letting me spend a half hour or so playing their full length Steinway. Scott was not only my salesperson, but he also has been repairing and restoring pianos for a long time, so he was able to show me exactly what to look for in a quality piano. When I eventually upgrade to an acoustic piano, Ill definitely return to Artist Pianos.

2019-07-19I had a superlative experience with Artist Pianos. They stand behind their products and provide superior service.I bought a vintage Steinway that developed problems after four years. Artist Pianos diligently worked on the piano several times in an attempt to resolve the problems. That provided an improvement, but things still werent perfect. That was no problem. I was told that they wanted me to have satisfaction. What they did was to offer a like-value trade to me and I couldnt be more pleased with my new piano.I highly recommend this store for their quality pianos which they stand behind. Yet its not just the fine pianos that make this an exceptional store. What does that is the competent staff from the very affable, knowledgeable and accommodating store manager, Scott Schroeter, the piano technicians and tuners such as Alex Smith and Kenneth Williams and owner Jo Beth Dellinger and her policy of providing customer satisfaction.I could not be more pleased about my experience in working with them. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a new or used piano!

2020-04-03I had been looking for a replacement digital piano since just after Christmas 2019. I had gone to many stores and while the folks were all very nice, I was drawn to Artist Pianos. From the moment I walked in there, there was no pressure. I was able to speak with Scott freely to tell him exactly what I liked and didn’t like. He did not just direct me to a piano of his choice and say try this. He allowed me to explore the digital pianos they had there, play them, explore the features etc.I came back in about a week and as he had offered I asked to sit and play with headphones on for a bit. He was very accommodating. I tried several of the digit I already pianos That I was interested in and then told him I would be in touch.A few days later we were back in and I picked my favorite digital piano a Kawai and made it mine! Without the pressure of a sales pitch I was able to make a decision based solely on what I was looking for and comfortable with.I have my beautiful new Kawai digital piano in my living room today and enjoy the sound, the feel and the experience of it every day.Thank you to Scott at Artist Pianos for this wonderful experience.I highly recommend anyone looking for a piano of any type to stop in and see Scott.Thank you again!

2018-08-02Working with Artist Piano and Scott was wonderful! I have no experience playing the piano but wanted to learn and furthermore, wanted to buy an antique piano both for beauty and function. Scott was a tremendous resource and took the time to educate me on what to look for, how to have it evaluated and what to watch out for (buyer beware lessons). In the end, he helped me find & restore a beautiful 1929 antique piano that looks wonderful in my home and my lessons have begun. Thank you for helping me fulfill my bucket list!

2019-11-25As an adult piano student, there is a lot to learn. When you are ready to find a piano, it takes time to educate yourself on the variety of options in the market. I visited several piano stores to listen and learn. I was referred to Artist Pianos by my instructor. It was a wonderful choice. I felt very at ease from the moment I arrived. It was clear they had pianos in all price ranges and did not pressure me. The owner mentioned that they often knew after any customer visit that it comes down to 2 or 3 pianos that would work for the client. They then follow the customers lead as to what would work. They invited me to come play a few. As a beginner, that can be intimidating. However, the owner and one of his tuners, quietly sat while I played several pianos. A more kind and supportive duo, I couldnt have asked for. I am happy with my piano choice. It has been a gift to my home. I had a minor issue with the piano I chose, and the owner responded immediately, and I couldnt have been happier with the customer service. They stand behind their products and business. I received a warranty, two free tunings, and the ability to trade up within 10 yrs. I feel like Ive met new friends who will share my love of music and take care of my instrument for years to come. Dont hesitate to shop here. You will be in good hands.
