Zach may be the best hair stylist Ive ever encountered. First he saved me after a bad blonde coloring job (at another salon) and when I returned 3 months later I got the best platinum blonde highlights ever. If you want blonde done right (and Im guessing hes good with any color)....go see Zach!!

I had my hair done here by Tanya. I have nothing but good things to say. Everyone there was very friendly and welcoming. Tanya was nothing short of amazing. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she was very excited to do it, which made me even more excited. The whole time she kept me very involved in the process, letting me know what she was doing and why and made sure I was okay with everything. She was easy to talk to there were basically no silent lulls, which I always dread when getting my hair done. This will definitely be my permanent salon. Loved my experience here from the minute I arrived. Since we are still being affected by covid they take your temp when you arrive, ask you to wash your hands and clean your chair. My hair stylist Amber was super professional. She didnt try to start any small talk and was willing to listen to anything I said. I hate it when my stylists chat with me till my ears fall off! Im there to relax and enjoy my time, not listen to your problems haha. But thats just a personal preference.

What a positive experience at Artistry in Hanover. It was my first time and I got very lucky. Tanya gave me the the best haircut of my life. She listened and communicated with an enthusiasm that was fun and relaxing. She used her skills and magic as she highlighted my hair so that it looked identical to the photo I shared. I cant wait to return; I highly recommend Tanya and this unique salon.
I have spent years disappointed with salons and stylists in the area, but Artistry in Hanover exceeds all expectations! Zach is a phenomenal stylist with serious tape-in extension skills. He SAVED my very short, damaged hair about 18 months ago, and I have been seeing him religiously since then. Jordan, the manager, is wonderful and accommodating, and all the stylists/staff there are pleasant and professional. Coming from someone who is usually uncomfortable in the stereotypical over-the-top obnoxious type of salon, this place is a breath of fresh air. I enjoy every appointment, the salon is always clean and well-kept, and feel right at home. Highly recommend to anyone!
I go to kirstie, she is the owner . She does a fabulous job. I love how she use different Techniques with the scissors when shes cutting my hair. she really knows her stuff and I highly recommend this place. Shes definitely a Perfectionis You definitely wont be disappointed. The salon is very clean and very comfortable and the staff is so friendly.

I was in need of a switch of hair stylists to, nothing bad at all about my previous. I did a bunch of research, followed you in Facebook for a few months and finally got brave and made an appointment. Brooke was amazing… great with color, love the cut and has a great personality! I’d definitely recommend and I already booked my next appointment!

I love this salon! It’s so cute on the inside and the people who work here are amazing. Excellent service all around all the time! I usually get my haircut by Brooke who is ALWAYS booked — which isn’t surprised because she’s amazing at what she does. She really listens to what I want and is so personable throughout the process. I have very course, thick hair and it takes A LOT for me to trust someone after getting my hair butchered from many people are can work with my hair texture and leaves it uneven.Brooke had incredible attention to detail and is a master of her craft. While I was getting my hair done someone else had 2 customers come in who clearly loved their stylist and were regular clientele. Clearly I’m not the only who can attest to the incredible service and work of the hair stylists who work here. Highly recommend this place!
This place is amazing. I came in with a correction from another salon and Zack fixed everything and made it 100x better. So relieved and will be coming back.
I’m extremely picky about my haircut and this was my first time at Artistry. Amber gave me a wonderful haircut and I’m very happy. She understood what I wanted and delivered exactly that. Amber your a talented hair stylist. I will definitely go back.
Omg i got my hair cut this morning by Tanya i HAD dry, damaged, tons of different pattern curls, uneven& all around unmanageable hair. She gave me the best cut AND style ive had in my entire life & im almost 28 !! Thank you girl SO MUCH:) i want to straighten it but i love how you did it before i left soo much; I don’t want to mess with it & for once actually have different OPTIONS i like with my hair, and not whatever it is my hair is doing for that day! I have a style that looks nice anyway i choose to ty gina ! Love, Rosie ❤️❤️ ps now i cant wait to have my daughter love her curls and her just as much as i do !!!!! Zach did such an amazing job! In the past I’ve had a hard time finding someone who was able to do exactly what I asked for but Zach did it. The price was very very reasonable for a higher end salon. Great experience.
Amber did my hair and it was awesome! She has amazing customer service skills and makes you feel special! Her wild side and crazy colors along with her natural colors she does really comes out top notch! The salon was beautiful and well kept up on! Will be coming back!
I hate writing a bad review because I know this is someones livelihood, but seriously.. horrible. I have platinum blonde hair, went in for a root touch up and a cut with Amber. No chatting, no asking me about what I wanted or what I have had previously. She just put the bleach on my hair then walked away for 45 minutes. Usually, they will check the lift occasionally but she didnt. I shouldve known something was off at that point but I gave her the benefit of the doubt.During the rinse I tried to talk to her about toner .. my hair takes toner really easily and usually I will just get a toner rinse, but she had her own ideas, leaving it on for 10 minutes until I finally got vocal and said I thought we needed to rinse it out b/c my hair would turn purple. Sure enough, I had purple hair. She tried to get it out w/more chemical treatment and it helped a little but I still went home with streaky lavender hair. I had to buy clarifying shampoo and scrub my hair a couple times to get it to even out a little bit.The cut was also really bad. I was rushed out of the chair without even getting to look at the back or really see what she had done. I saw why when I got home. One of the worst cuts Ive had. All this for $200. I am so upset.EDIT: The salon did call to try and make things right. Unfortunately, there was really nothing that could be done other than refunding my money .. which they ended up doing thankfully because its taken almost $700 with my trusted gal back in Telluride getting the orange streak evened out.
This place is amazing. It’s clean and everyone that works there is so nice and professional. My hair dresser is Jordan. He’s the best! He’s so patient with me and always gives me the best tips to keeping healthy hair! I recently decided to cut my hair short. (I’ve never had short hair) This was a big step for me and I was very nervous. I showed him a picture of what I wanted. Jordan was great. He explained to me step by step what he was doing. My ending results was exactly like the picture and I was so happy I made the change to cut my hair! It looks great. I will NEVER go anywhere else ever again!! First salon I’ve ever been to where I always leave happy 😁
I absolutely enjoyed every second of my experience at Artistry in Hanover! I’ve been having Zach do my hair for a few years and was excited to follow him to his new venture at Artistry in Hanover. The salon is diligent in maintaining cleanliness standards for COVID-19 which made me feel safe and able to fully relax. Each stylist I encountered was warm, welcoming, and very professional. Zach did my hair (highlights, a hair treatment, and cut) and my boyfriend’s hair (cut)—both turned out amazing as usual. My hair looks and feels so healthy. The blonde highlights is the perfect icy color. We’ve both received many compliments this morning at church from our family & friends and even when we were out to breakfast by complete strangers. We will definitely be coming back Zach and Artistry in Hanover. 😊
Jake did a fabulous job on my hair. I got a significant amount of hair cut off and was pretty apprehensive towards the big change. Jake made suggestions about what would be best for my hair and was very encouraging throughout the entire experience. I left beyond happy to show off my hair.I rarely get my hair done and Im always nervous trying to find the best place to go. You cant go wrong with this place, its super professional and an overall great experience.
Had an amazing experience. First of all I walked in from street, they could not have been any friendlier. ..the owner, the front desk, and the other stylist were smiling and helpful. I was discussing getting lash extensions, but owner thought an eyelash lift would be better, and she was corrrect. She recommended Ashley. ..amazing professional, she lifted my lashes...they look great, have gotten so many compliments, she also did a blowout on my hair...best I have ever had! ! Recommend her for anything, she loves her work and is a joy!!!!!
Amber has been doing my hair for awhile now and she always does an amazing job time after time! She always takes my ridiculous ideas and makes them work for me all while keeping the integrity of my hair. I always leave so confident after she does my hair I couldn’t ask for a better hair dresser.
I don’t get my hair done, often. I decided to treat myself today, and I am Sooooo glad I did! Amber was my stylist, and she is pure perfection! She gave me a balayage with some warm blonde highlights to my natural brown hair. And the cut she gave me... I can’t explain in words the transformation! I have very fine hair, and before she even styled it, the volume my hair naturally has now is impeccable! Her professional mannerism and the efforts and the time she put into every single detail... incredible! Thank you, Amber!!
I had my roots done by Zach and it looks amazing! He gave me an amazing new look and even an illusion root so as it grows out my natural color wont be as harsh! The salon is also so beautiful and has a great vibe, looking forward to making this my home!
I had my hair cut by Tanya and Jennifer and they were awesome. Great styling and really decent price. Always exactly what I wanted. I also got highlights from Tanya once and she did a great job.
Went for the first time today and absolutely loved it. Super cute salon and Sarah did an amazing job. Was able to go lighter with my hair without compromising its integrity. Even my boyfriend noticed and commented on the volume and style. Cant wait to go again. Highly recommend!
BEAUTIFUL SHOP. I got the best haircut of my life here. I had my appointment with a lovely young lady named Jess. She was very nice and did a fantastic job. I had gotten a good recommendation for her from a friend as well as I went onto their website and read about their stylist. She specializes in short and curly hair. I wanted to go short and as someone who is consistently growing my haircut and then getting drastically short cuts, she has given me the best short haircut of my life and I will always go to her from here on out.
I was so excited to try a new place and was completely disappointed after what I thought was a good consultation. I came in with long hair, and showed the stylist Marissa the picture of the cut I wanted. She said it would look great, and it would be easy. Well, to my dismay, she completely botched my hair cut, and it looked nothing like the picture. The textured, long bob that I wanted, was a blunt, botched, haircut, resembling a bowl cut, to be quite honest. She had my head down for most of the cut, so I wasn’t even able to stop her. When she was finished with the cut, I expressed to her just how different the cut was from the actual picture, and I got nothing but attitude from her. She told me that the cut just wasn’t possible for my hair, when she expressed to me in the beginning that it was an “easy cut”. I have never been so disappointed in a haircut in my entire life. I will never return here if this is the service this salon offers. If she wasn’t able to do the cut, then why lie and say she could do it with ease? My once long hair, is now a short, blunt bob, with no style. I don’t even have enough hair left to turn it into the style that I wanted, or any cut, for that matter, without going extremely short. I’m embarrassed to even go to work now. I’m going to have to find some sort of way to fix this, because I am honestly so embarrassed. You would think that since I am a first time client, the salon would have booked me with a stylist that had more experience.
Jennifer McKeen was my stylist and she is awesome! I did a consultation beforehand and then came in for my appointment, but by then I had changed my mind and she was totally open to it. She was very helpful in talking it out with me and really understood what I wanted. I ended up getting foils of a darker color and a red color in my hair and it looks amazing. She really knows what she is doing. Highly recommended!
THE salon in Syracuse!Kristi puts the “art” in Artistry and I wouldn’t trust anyone else to cut or color my hair. I’ve been going to her for years, and consistently get compliments on my style and color. The minute I arrive, I feel relaxed and welcomed. I truly wouldn’t go anywhere else. The very best!!!

I just got home from my salon appointment at Artistry in Hanover. I didnt know anything about the place. My mother having taught Consumer Behavior for over 20+ years had read all of the GOOGLE reviews and was very intrigued. I called and asked if I could schedule an appointment and Cara called me back and said she would come in the next evening to color my hair. At first I looked at it and thought it was too dark for what I had wanted. I was upset and she could see that I was. She immediately asked me what was wrong and what she could do to make me feel better. I told her I had wanted more highlights and my hair color to be lighter. She immediately did my hair over and when she started to dry it, I smiled and nodded my head yes with the biggest smile in the mirror. The hair color was PERFECT! I was so happy, I gave her a big hug! She made my night! I will go again to Artistry in Hanover and you can bet I will be asking for Cara again!
Ive been coloring my hair for 15 years and have never been completely happy with it until I came here! These ladies really know what they are doing and have completely transformed the look and feel of my hair. Amazing work! I will never go anywhere else after going here. I had no idea what I wanted and Kristi knew exactly what to do, she pays really close attention to details and makes sure each piece of your hair is completely perfect when shes done. Ive struggled with my bangs for years and found out they had been being cut the wrong way and Kristi fixed them and cut them the right way finally and now they are SO much easier to work with and lay exactly how I want them. Kristi & Ashley took such great care of me and are complete experts!
First time, but definitely not last. Pixie cut by Kristen - and she made time for color, finally a little coppery gold! Both are beautiful. Every cut and style I saw while there was gorgeous and silky. Terrific price for big city work.
I am new to the area and did a lot of research before deciding on Artistry in Hanover to try for a cut and ombré. Not only was this the only place in the area that actually puts pictures up of their clients hair (check out their Instagram!), but they also very clearly posted their pricing and different services. I couldnt be more happy that I picked Artistry. They fit me in for an evening appointment which is great for me based on my work schedule. Kristi did my amazing color and cut. Courtney also made sure I knew what was happening to my hair the whole time which is something that doesnt usually happen but I really appreciated, made me feel very at ease being it was my first time there and I was doing to pretty drastic color change. I left the salon feeling great about myself, my hair, and the entire process! Amazing salon and I will be returning! Will recommend to all my friends!
I have really curly hair and it has been really tough to find a hairstylist who knows how to work with my hair type. I started going to Jess at Artistry and my hair has NEVER looked better. She took the time to not only style it appropriately but also taught me how to work with my hair from start to finish. The atmosphere in the salon is great. I work downtown so its also super convenient. I HIGHLY recommend Jess and Artistry.
I could not be any happier with the amazing work Cara has repeatedly provided. She is truly an artist with her ability to create so much depth and dimension in my hair, to play with colors and variations and provide the perfect cut to then compliment and really show off her amazing artistry. The salon staff in general has been incredibly friendly, knowledge and willing to help in any way. I cannot recommend this place enough.
I emailed Artisty at 9:30 at night after finally convincing myself to get something cool done. I recieved an email minutes later and a phone call the next day. Amber did my red color balayage and it was amazing! she explained the process and gave me tips on care as she worked. Overall, great experience, reasonable prices, and clean environment. 10/10 would recommend.

I decided to give this salon a try after doing a lot research to find a new hairstylist. Per their online bio, the individual I decided to make an appointment with has over 20 years experience and came highly recommended. I have to be honest, I received by far the worst dye job ever from this individual. I wasnt the only one that thought this... the stylist knew it looked terrible too. How do I know this? Prior to the coloring, a before picture was taken. During the process, this individual cursed my hair the entire time (very professional). When all was done, no after picture was taken. Proof even the stylist wasnt happy with the outcome. I was so unhappy with the color that I contacted the stylist to ask that it was corrected and I was given excuse after excuse why they didnt want to fix it. Needless to say, I never returned to the salon. I will never recommend that anyone go to Artistry in Hanover unless they like over-priced, unsatisfactory work.
Had let my hair grow out to an unreasonable and unmanageable length due to fear of having my hair messed up. I went to the same hair salon for the past 6 years and saw the same lady Everytime because she always did it just right but I had moved up here 6 months ago. I was not disappointed here at all, he convinced me to try something a little different than normal due to thinking it would look great on me, I tried it and I havent been this happy with my hair in a long long time. Great personality, super nice staff, and very very reasonable pricing.

Exceeded my expectations! My hairdresser of 40 years retired. I was happy for him but very anxious for me. After searching the internet, I decided to try Artistry in Hanover. I was impressed with the professional website and that I could have a consultation before committing. Kristi is lovely and a great stylist. Its a comfortable, hip spot with lots of places to park. After my first cut, I was so impressed that my short hair held its style until week 5 when I could make it in again. Thats a wonderful haircut. Looking forward to many more visits to Artistry!
After reading the reviews I decided to try this salon. I called the salon and asked if anyone was experienced in cutting curly hair. I was given an appointment with Jennifer and had a consult before my service. I did not realize they charge $25 for the consult. No other salon charges. In 20 years I only had trims to my long hair and I was ready for a new style. The emphasis was more on getting my hair lighter than the actual haircut or style to be done by the stylist. I agreed to have a foil done to lighten the color. My hair then was cut on an angle wet. You cannot cut curly hair wet. There wasn’t much time spent on the cut and after explaining to her I was ready for a shorter hair style I was more a maintenance free person. I received a hairstyle that required straightening and blow drying and the hair color turned orange. After washing my hair for the first time the haircut frizzed out on a severe angle looking like a triangle this was not what I wanted after spending $160. Back to a ponytail and clip with a bun. I cried. I contacted her and told her I could do nothing with it and it look like a triangle with the angle and she suggested I come back and she take weight off which only left it shorter now looking like a clown hair Cut. Which I was told to come back and have it foiled again within a month. By the time I returned I had various colors of orange and yellow my hair was foiled again. Which turned green yellow and orange after and my curl now was frizzed due to the over bleaching. I mention the haircut again asked if she would take some of the bulk out or somehow could we change it into an actual style she then took Thinning shears Into my wet curly hair and just picked up pieces and started to wack into My hair taking out hunks of hair leaving my hair uneven and a hole of thin hair in one side of my head! My thoughts were oh, no! You don’t use thinning shears on curly hair! A big no-no ! May I suggest when a person calls your salon and asks if there’s anyone experienced in cutting curly hair do not give them just anyone if they are not updated on the latest procedures to do that. I then was told come back in a month and have it foiled again are you Kidding! By this time I’m in over $300 looking like a Lopsided clown with green hair. I canceled the next appointment I had green hair with a hairstyle that look like a clown. I spent over $300 for this. I ended up going to two more salons with high ratings that could not cut curly hair costing me a fortune. One hairdresser said I should’ve had a stripper put in my hair and not have gotten it foiled. I ended up going to The element salon Where they clearly state they are experienced in cutting curly hair and are up on all the latest techniques and finally I ended up with a nice manageable hairstyle. By this time I spent $500. In a 4 month period this is outrageous! From The salon hair artistry I ended up in tears What was done to my long beautiful hair after not having anyone touch it in 20 years!
Best hair salon is very modern in the hair stylist here definitely know what theyre doing. theyre always on top of trends, visiting conferences and learning more and more about their craft. If youre looking for someone very talented I would definitely recommend an artist in the salon.
HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I live in NYC and usually go to DevaCurl speciality salons in the city because I have naturally curly hair. Came upstate to visit family and found positive reviews for Artistry In Hanover and the stylist Sarah in particular as she is trained/certified to do Deva cuts. I literally never want to get my hair cut in NYC again because Sarah did such an incredible job at a much lower price point than I usually have to pay in New York. She’s also hilarious, extremely sweet and makes sure to communicate/check in with you throughout the process to make sure you are on the same page. I have honestly never had a stylist that worked so hard to execute my vision, and her own insight / ideas helped make the look better than I had imagined. She is a real artist and everyone should book her now.
I am new to Syracuse and tried a high-end salon who did a horrible job putting highlights in my hair. I went to Sadie at Artistry and she was AMAZING!! Not only did she fix my horrible highlight job she also pointed out the bad layering cut they did. I would highly recommend using Sadie because she really knows color and how to cut hair. Absolutely, the best!!!

Was a short, pixie cut for 35 years. With salon owner Kristi Bitettis gentle encouragement, I let my hair grow and discovered Ive got great waves and a whole new playful look! During that awkward grow-out stage, Kristi provided great advice using the right products and tools (yes, I invested in a good blow dryer) and thats made all the difference in getting a routine that I can do quickly and feel every day is a good hair day. The salon is beautiful, very professional atmosphere and I love the downtown vibe!
If you are looking for SUPERIOR color and style look no further! Kristy and Ashley are AMAZING stylists! I had the same hair dresser for 25 years and was at a loss when it was time to find a new one...I did a lot of research for local colorists who could do blond well (cuz y’all blond gals know... it’s sooo easy to mess up blond!) I have been going there for a year and a half now and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results! The great thing about Artisty is they are continually updating their education on the latest techniques! All the staff is super friendly and I would be remiss if I didn’t also didn’t mention Jordan who I always get on the phone when I schedule, he’s a doll! LOVE THIS PLACE❤️
Staff is extremely nice, but an extremely pricey risk if you don’t get what you ask for. I wanted a dramatic non-natural blonde look and was told by the stylist the first time and returning for the fix that the finished product didn’t even look like I paid $265 at a hair salon... (😞) Beautiful work if it was only what I asked for. Now I’m stuck with a honey blonde that washes me out when we both knew my hair could have lifted more in the two sessions if I was heard from the start. Would have gone back for a third session but I was afraid to. Saving up to get it fixed somewhere else. Very bummed, I really needed the makeover, and now I need to start over. Natural looks are the specialty if that’s what you want!
Offers full beauty treatments. Im an older woman and needed a change. One of my friends is a hair stylist there Tanya she works magic with your hair. Im going back to have other treatments done. Some things are pricey but the results are worth it. Only con is parking (Have to pay)definitely recommend
I have spent 4 years trying to find a salon in the area that can work with my super thick hair! Today I saw Sarah and I cant remember feeling this happy with my hair in a loooong time! Sarah was bubbly and really listened to what I wanted. I have been hating my hair for about a year and I am just so grateful for her excellent work! Hands down, this is my favorite salon in the Syracuse area. Kristi Bitetti is a true professional. She keeps herself and the team stylists aware of the latest techniques and styles -- yet makes sure that they dont churn out trendy for the sake of trendy. It really is about making sure each and every client gets a look and style that is suited to his/her face, hair type and lifestyle. She is constantly hunting down new products and has some really great (and reasonably priced) accessories that help you finish off your look and make you feel great when you look in the mirror. There are a handful of places that can boast such buzz among loyal clients. I almost dont want to share my secret!Tip: if you have an evening appointment, you can ask for (or go get) something to drink from the Bull & Bear next door. Its very relaxing to sip your wine after a long day and get a facial, a hair cut or color or your nails done.And while Kristi sets the tone -- she has a great staff. Jacquie is amazing with cuts & color -- Sadie is so precise and Ashley is a talented makeup artist in addition to giving wonderful blowouts, braids, and beachy wave styles. Antonietta is super talented --- in fact, I know that ALL of the stylists have a cult like following among their clientele -- men, women, college students -- and my teenagers are big fans, too!
Ive been in SYR for 3 years and so happy I finally found Artistry in Hanover. I found Taylor and the salon through Pinterest of all places and was thrilled to see she was local. (Seriously, such a coincidence!) Taylor was exactly what I was looking for in a stylist and colorist.Shes very kind and patient. Shes intuitive and listens very closely to her clients. Im a natural blonde but like to experiment with tones and hi/low lights. She does a beautiful job and is very talented. Truly an artist. My hair looks very healthy and natural. I recently took the plunge and asked for her to cut off a good bit of length and help with the movement and body of my hair. It had gotten very long and unmanageable. She did a fantastic job and I constantly receive compliments. My hair is much easier for me to style because she did such a great job. I highly recommend her!
I went there for the first time yesterday my hair was a absolute hot mess Kristen Kay did my hair and she did an amazing job will definitely go back there. The place was clean and friendly and all the stylists seemed very good and very up to date also use excellent products.
Being new to Syracuse I was unsure of where to go to get my hair done. I did some research and decided to go through Erica at Artistry in Hanover. The atmosphere was great and the staff were welcoming. The place is nice but in no way snooty.This was honestly one of the best--if not the best--cut and color Ive received. Erica was awesome and socializing with her didnt feel forced. She listened to everything that I had to say and worked with me about what I wanted (because honestly, I wasnt entirely sure going in). If youre second-guessing going here, I urge you to at least get a free consultation and get a feel for it yourself. At any rate, I know Ill be returning here.
I recently moved to the Syracuse area and had to do the one thing women dread, finding a new stylist. I searched through all the reviews online and my eye caught the Instagram page that the salon has. After seeing a few pictures of the work Kristi did for other clients, I felt confident I found my new stylist. Kristi and her team are wonderful. Kristi had corrected a haircut that I had done previously and Ive never had a stylist pay that much attention to every detail of the haircut, ensuring it fell into place and made my thick hair manageable. I returned to have my hair colored by Kristi and walked out with the hair color I pictured in my head.I would highly recommend Kristi and her team!
As always, Zach delivered amazing hair once again. He has a wonderful talent for color and has never failed to figure out what I want - even when I dont know myself! Thank you for another great experience!
I go to Artistry at Hanover to have my hair cut, colored and styled exclusively by Sadie. I bring my kids to her as well! She is absolutely fantastic. I have been going to her for about 6 years now and have followed her to 3 different salons as she hones her craft and makes great strides in her career. I give Artistry at Hanover 5 stars based on my experience with Sadie.She is highly instinctive, a good listener, and she does not impose her own ideas about what you should want. She will deliver what is asked of her, while making thoughtful suggestions based on experience. You will not be disappointed.
Ive never been big on getting my hair done, just a trim a couple times a year, and when I decided I wanted to try something new my friend recomended Artistry in Hanover. I had Kristi and she was great. I showed her a picture of Ombre hair and she did exactly what I wanted and it turned out great. I also got my nails done by Stacey (Shelac Manicure) and it has been over a week and my nails still look awesome! I would definitely recomend going to Artistry in Hanover. The staff is friendly, they know exactly what they are doing, and its a great location. You wont be disappointed!

I just can’t thank Sarah enough for what she did to save my hair today! After an emergency situation, I messaged her and she got me in and even came in early to fix the mess that the salon at the Turning Stone did! I will be a customer for life not only is she awesome at what she does she’s very professional yet down to earth and makes sitting in her chair for 4 hours fun!

Do not go here for curly hair. They told me Sarah was the “curly hair expert.” She thinned out my hair without telling me, completely ignored my requests to stop snipping away and to not brush my hair out with a brush (which you’re never supposed to do with curly hair) even when I continuously asked her not to. My hair is uneven in certain parts now and I feel grossly disrespected and violated by her complete disregard for my requests. It’s my hair not yours—you can’t just do whatever you want to it.
I take my fiance here for her hair. It can be pricey depending on what you have done. But ypu get what you pay for. The staff is amazing and Courtney Clare is amazing at what she does.

Wise words we all know to be true but never live by anyway: tell them not to style your hair after they cut it, because not only will they cement your hair down into a putty-soaked helmet, but it will also have you leaving the salon thinking you got a bad haircut when actually theres just way too much product on your skull to be able to tell. (which is to say my haircut was bomb)(but the styling had me walking to my car crying cuz I thought I looked like the Hiroshima mushroom cloud)
I went to artistry in hanover to get my hair cut and colored. She did a lousy job on my hair. The cut was longer on one side of my head. Overpriced and lousy haircut and color for 100 dollars. I still tipped her 20 bucks. I will never go there again.
I have been going to Artistry since it has opened and I have never been disappointed. I am always leaving with a huge smile on my face because I am so pleased with my cut and/or color. Everyone that works there is very friendly and I am always seeing on their Facebook page that they are going to different conferences to learn new styles, techniques and trends! I recommend all of my friends to go there and I would never go anywhere else! Trust me, you want to check this place out!!!! You wont regret it!!!!

I had my first (and only :( ) appointment with Amber a few weeks ago. I wound up moving to Brooklyn so I sadly will not be back but I asked for this very specific Pixie cut that I had been trying to achieve with a few stylists previously and Amber was able to finally give me exactly what I was looking for! I had to come on here and rave about her patience, excellent customer service and perfect cut so she knows it’s the move that is preventing me from coming back and not anything about the cut, which was/is stellar :) Thank you, thank you!

I had my eyebrows tinted and a full set of eyelash extensions put on. My brows came out amazing, and Missy did my eyelash extensions and they were EXACTLY what I was looking for! I’m obsessed! Highly recommend!!

Came out with brassy hair, uneven hair. Both times I went, did not get the color I came in for. Not sure what to do now. Feels like a waste of money.Guy who answered the phone before was rude.
Jake has done my bleach and tone three different times and was able to get my blonde color super icy like I wanted it. He’s awesome, highly recommend!
I drove 3 hours to have my hair done at artistry in hanover by amber and she did an amazing job i love it she worked with me every step of the way she even took the time out to tell me in detail how to care for my hair and showed me what products to use as i went home i stopped a few places and each time i got compliments and asking where i had it done i even had a woman yell out her car window on how much she loved it and how amazing it look so a big thank you for making this experience great and for the work put in to make sure it came out perfect
After my first visit to the salon I just had felt in love with it!Im not an easy client but Kristie has done a fabulous job, and Im very happy with the cut and the color.It just look amazing.Im sure I will come back soon because I wont go to any other place.The space is welcoming and the atmosphere amazing!you could feel that the people working there loves what they do...probably that its the secret to be the best Salon in Syracuse.

2022-06-09Tanya gave me the best haircut Ive ever received. She listened to what I wanted, made suggestions within my wishes, and did a fantastic job with the cut and style. Throughout the whole process she treated me with genuine respect and care. I am very self conscious about my hair and have often worried it would never be beautiful. The haircut and style she gave me really made me believe it was possible, a really transformative moment for me. I truly could not have been happier with the experience or the results.

She really knows color theory and was able to take me from purple back to brown. She also does an amazing balayage and really listens to give you exactly what you hoped for - or even better! 2022-05-08Had a really disappointing experience this week. I never write reviews but think it’s necessary this time. I got a haircut by Brooke and initially asked for lots of layers for my long straight hair to which Brooke said she didn’t recommend it because it would look “choppy” but then said long layers could work for me. Trusting her expertise, I agreed to this, however once I went home I realized she literally just cut my hair straight across and there were zero layers! I felt like I just wasted my money and time! She had the worst attitude since I first interacted with her and clearly wanted to go home, as I was the last client of the day. I don’t understand why you would offer this time slot if you simply want to rush your work and not give your client satisfying hair results! I was supposed to have an appointment the week prior but it was cancelled the morning of, so it’s even more disappointing that this is the type of service I received as I was very understandable of the appointment rescheduling.

2022-06-06I drive 45 minutes each way just to have Brooke cut and color my hair. Shes a great listener and knows how to translate my non-stylist requests. This is my 4th or 5th visit and I always leave feeling like a million bucks! Even though its downtown, parking on Water St. has always been plentiful. The shop is quaint and clean, very happy customer.
