Natalie was very sweet and funny.Terance who assisted her was also very helpful with my husband picking out a dresser for himself. This is our first time buying real adult furniture and they were both very helpful. It was an amazing experience with them both. 4 thumbs up for them both 👍🏽 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
The young lady Natalie helping me was great. The furniture I bought was very costly which is why I am very upset. After only two weeks my table began to bubble. Tried to reach out to the store to only be continually disconnected. Texted the number on the receipt as it did say “call or text” only to be treated rudely through text. Finally spoke with someone and was told to call the number for my protection plan. Almost two weeks now since submitting a claim through the protection plan and not a word from them. Sent an email inquiring on the status and still nothing. Not a good way to conduct business especially with the high costs of their products. Very disappointed!
I was met by Giovanni at the door - very cordial and professional. He helped me find exactly what I was looking for - power sofa and lovesest in leather. He showed me a couple of options - I ended up choosing a set in durapella in gray. I wasn’t familiar with that fabric but he assures me it will be durable and I bought the 5 yr warranty. They honored a discount from a card I had received in the mail - which advertised up to a 20 % discount. They gave me a 15% discount after checking with the manager. That’s my disappointment- I don’t know why I couldn’t get the whole 20% discount. I’m hoping the fabric does hold up and that service is good if I have any problems. Thank you!
I wont buy anything else from them at all. This store likes to sell furniture so called new but is damaged with no wrapping on it at all. How do you sell something as new but is unwrapped and damaged after waiting 6 months. This has happened to me twice with this store, however it wont happen again. I will never shop this store or any Ashley store again. My mom has bought items from them and she lives in Florida and didnt have this issue happen to her. So Im really confused about this stores story that it comes off the truck unwrapped after the sells associate tells you it comes in a box wrapped buyer beware.
My mother and I had an amazing experience at Ashleys furniture..Duan and Giovanni are professional, attentive, friendly and respectful..I was so impressed with their sales ability and compassion..I will be sharing how wonderful they were with my friends. They treated us like family..Thank you for your outstanding service.
I will always choose Ashleys for now on. I bought a bedroom set at Raymore Flanagan and for 10months I had to sleep on the floor waiting for it. I showed up at the show room once again, just to find out the vendor pushed it back again and got a refund immediately. Went to Ashleys right after. The employee was so friendly, told me to look at what they had and then gave me a bottle water. After like 20mins he found me, asked if I need anything. I showed him a picture of the bedroom set I originally did purchase at Raymore. He then showed me every bedroom sets that had the same concept. I picked the one I wanted, he took the time to explain the delivery process and the warranty which I bought. He also took the time to have me purchase everything with him so I didnt have to wait. 9days later the bedroom set was available for delivery. I didnt respond back to the text message I received. Two days later the gentleman personally called me to tell me it was ready and to pick a date for delivery. Even the delivery process was quick and easy. The delivery men were so friendly and even helped me figure out the best way the furniture would fit in my bedroom. Im so happy with my bedroom set and had the best customer service at Ashleys. Thank you guys for making the horrible experience I originally had turn into one of the best and also for having my furniture be here just in time for the house warming party next week. Thank you!!!
No problems shopping at the store. All of the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Delivery is another story. Everything arrived the day it was supposed to, albeit late due to delays at other stops. One of our pieces was also assembled hastily and that caused damage to the piece. A replacement was arranged but upon re delivery, the wrong piece of furniture was sent. Update: 5/21/22, the table was replaced today and everything went smoothly.
Went to Ashley today to purchase a TV Stand Bill greet me at the door...showed me all the TV Stands available within my price rangeShowed him the ones I found on Ashley website he had me text him the one I wanted made sure the price was the same as the website and took care of all my furniture needs. I walked around and found some other furniture Bill made sure the price was right told me the cost before check out. He was kind and very pleasant to work with informed me of my delivery dates and was honest. Bills customer service rating is 10plus. Thanks Bill for all your help.
My husband and I needed a new mattress and we honestly didn’t have an idea where to start. We were greeted by Adam who listened to our needs and passed us to Gio who performed a sleep fitting. This experience was far and away the best time I’ve had purchasing a mattress. He is a master of comfort and his nickname of sand man is spot on! Highly recommend!!!
We purchased two couches and now bedroom set from Ashley. When we walked in door Colin greeted us and we told him we know the layout and want to look in outlet section. Colin stated he let us look and would be around for questions. He didn’t follow us and when we needed him he was right there to help us make a decision and check us out and set up shipping. So easy and and helpful!
I WISH I could get negative stars. First: If you are shopping at an Ashley Store, check the WEBSITE prices first. We were charged about $800 MORE in store than online (yes, we added the exact pieces and went all the way through checkout so it added the tax). When asked about this, the manager said Did you ask to price match?. OMG! Why in the world should a customer ask for a store to price match their website.Second: We cancelled our order within 24 hours. Its been over 3 weeks and we are still waiting for the $3700 refund. Just talked to the manager: Its not our problem anymore. was her reply. The refund was approved ONLY 2 days ago. Took 5 minutes to take our money but over 3 weeks, going on 4, to refund? Now its completely out of their hands if we see ANY of our money back.I will be reaching out to the Attorney General and the BBB. Also posting my review anywhere I can....We will be ordering the same exact pieces through 1StopBedrooms.com and saving over $1000. Yes, including shipping and taxes...
Giovanni was excellent! He was extremely attentive and provided us great service!! He was patient with us on our search for a new couch. He is very knowledgeable and answered everyone of our questions. He even tripled checked the measurements so we had no issues with fitting it into our home. Went in on a Sunday have the couch on Wednesday. Delivery was quick & clean. We’re very pleased with our dealings with Ashley’s and will return for a next purchase.
We had the pleasure of working with Giovanni! We went in having no idea what we wanted and Giovanni was incredibly patient and reassuring with us as he showed us literally every single couch/sofa set in the store. We figured out what we wanted and he made it happen! We were worried about the price and he made sure we got the best deal possible and really worked with us to make sure we were comfortable and happy with our decision and the money we were spending. His patience was off the charts and I couldn’t recommend him more!!
This was my first time buying a new couch. The sales representative was extremely kind and helpful. He worked to get me the best possible deal and, in the end, I got a couch way larger and nicer than I ever thought I could afford. The delivery team was also extremely quick and courteous. They set up my couch and cleaned up within 15 minutes.
If I could give no stars that wouldn’t be low enough. I ordered bar stools waited 2 months, they sent me dining room chairs and then refuse to pick up the order or give me a refund for the wrong merchandise. Scam scam scam DO NOT BUY ANYTHING from them. I’m calling News 4 on your side. They were already televised in the past for taking payment on a bedroom set and not delivering
I had a great experience at Ashley’s Furniture in Poughkeepsie James and Niko helped my wife and I and they both were amazing. The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 honestly I would say was because of processing time once we finally made our mind up to purchase and get out of the store took a long time but that’s it .
Worst quality furniture that I have ever purchased. I bought a leather couch set and the leather started to peel within months the motor for the recline stopped working and then the bar set that I purchased started to develop a crack in the wood. I had purchased extra protection which they claimed do not cover these types of issues. I have since purchase furniture from Bobs and Raymore and Flanagan which I have been very happy with. The table top on my kitchen set started to separate in the wood grain after a year, they gave me nearly 95% credit for the set against a new set and I havent had one issue with the items that I purchased from Bobs. I wont even walk into Ashley furniture again.
Well we go there every week and look and purchase. Today we went in and saw a clock on the wall that she wanted for her new beauty bar. We spoke to a salesman and told him we wanted the lowest price no fooling around, he told us after speaking to a manager price 200.00 when it was 249.00. I saw a guy I noticed all the time there a good guy named Joe. He told me the lowest price is 194.00. We said great, and we waited over 20 minutes to finalize the deal and my wife said we are out of here. I said why and she told every time she buys something it takes a very long to finalize the deal. Funny part of story we got the same clock for 159.00 on liñe.2
I had a wonderful shopping experience so far. First visit to the store was a quick once through so I could get a feel for their selection and there was much for me to choose from. I was looking for a sectional couch with specific measurements and a layout in mind. Bill approached me and was friendly and knowledgeable but not pushy. He took my number and contacted me the following week letting me know of a sales event. I found the perfect piece and Bill was helpful in pricing things for me but never to pushy. We shall see how delivery and set up go next month. Hoping it goes as smooth as the purchase.
My boyfriend and I are moving into our first apartment; after visiting another store, we were not really sure if we would be able to find furniture that worked for us and came to Ashley’s. Giovanni took the time to run around the store and find pieces that we would be happy with. He gave us his entire attention and made our experience so pleasant. I’ve never had better customer service; from the second he approached us to the second we left, he was by our side making sure that we were able to find everything we needed. He worked with our tight constraints and made sure we were set on the decisions we made. If it meant moving a table onto a rug to better visualize what we would be getting, he was willing to do it. Not only was he very knowledgeable about the pieces but also personable and really seemed to care about his customers.I normally find these experiences to be agonizing but Giovanni made it easier with his charismatic nature and willingness to work with us. I can’t wait to see everything in its place! So thankful for the Giovanni and the entire team at Ashley’s in Poughkeepsie!!
Adam was my salesperson. He is great!! He has a lot of patience. I was very unsure if I should pull the plug and order 2 of the chairs that were even more than I needed. I needed swevel chairs for my living room. I have been looking for months and couldnt find any that I liked. Adam asked me questions and yook me into the reduced area of the store to show me a chair he though might work for me. The chair was perfect. It is the color I was looking for, not only does it swevel, but it rocks and reclines too! AND, The price is right !Adam also told me to be sure to thoroughly inspect the chair when it is delivered. His works were sit on it, spin on it, rock on it, and recline, multiple times. One chair would be delivered before the other. The first chair came. The guys put it together. I did everything Adam said. I was not happy with the way the chair reclined. The legs didnt come all the way up. I called Adam and he told me not to accept it if I wasnt happy with it. They took the chair back.Today, 2 weeks from when I originally placed my order with Adam, my 2 chairs were delivered. They are both PERFECT! I am so happy with my experience with Ashley furniture and Adam. Thank you Adam for guiding me through this and making it a great experience!
I would just like to highly recommend Tito at Ashley Furniture who has gone above and beyond to help us purchase a reclining sofa, in somewhat of an emergency situation. He was friendly, informative, honest, completely accommodating to our needs. He got us exactly what we wanted, faster then I could have ever imagined. We got a great deal from him and a discount on the protection plan :) This has literally been one of the smoothest, most pleasant transactions and super Customer service from Tito, he is awesome! Thanks Tito and Ashley Furniture for giving us such a pleasant buying experience in general but especially during this pandemic.
I’ve recently had a bad interaction with another furniture company so i was a little hesitant to buy another set if the couches were not in stock. In my previous purchase (somewhere else) the in-stock date kept getting pushed back, so i was nervous to say the least about these couches. But cody assured me that there was a better chance of my couches coming early rather than later and 2 weeks after my purchase date, i scheduled my delivery! THANKS SO MUCH TO CODY! He’s awesome and was a great sales associate!!!!!
Never shop at Ashley’s. You’re better off sleeping on the floor with a mattress. The people in the store are lovely, but as soon as you get your purchase, it is entirely out of their hands. It is up to you to spend over 2days trying to contact a sales team or manager to speak to you. The company does not care about you but instead about money. Better off saving a bit more to shop local with someone that genuinely cares about customer service and making their customers happy. Their furniture quality has gone done, and in all honesty, what’s the point of saving a couple of bucks to buy something you will need to replace in a year or two. I am not telling you what to do with your money but I will advise you to go to a local furniture manufacture. If you live in Poughkeepsie try Davies Furniture the people are nice and they will ensure that you are happy With your order. They also get to control what happens once the order is received.
This company is a scam!!! They delivered my mothers furniture damaged. When we called and tried to get a replacement, they accused my 75 year old mother of lying and damaging the furniture herself. They could not provide me with the so called pictures they had both at delivery and at the inspection visit. I continued to pursue this and they had the nerve to say they had my mother on a recorded line saying that she damaged the piece herself and it had water damage!!!! 🤬. Reported this company to the Better Business Bureau. Such a disgrace that they would pull this scam on anyone especially a 75 year old woman. Never will I buy from them or recommend this company to anyone!!!
I’ve been doing some renovations to my home and was looking for a new dining room set. My space is small and limited so I couldn’t get anything to big, I walked into Ashley’s because I saw a table and chair set online that I fell in love with but wanted to see it in person, Bill was available to assist me and he couldn’t have made the purchase any easier. He was honest and extremely helpful. He also has a wonderful personality and very friendly. I can’t wait for my new table and chairs to be delivered!!
Don’t shop here. 🚩 🚩 If you miss your delivery time they will charge you $99.00 I spoke with 3 customer 3 customer service representatives, I requested to speak with a manager twice over 4 hour period and finally I was told the drivers do not have to come back even if they are still in the area and that it is at their discretion.What does that even mean? If an item is out for delivery a paid customer should be able to still retrieve their item.This is a deliberate scam to squeeze money out of people. Company’s like this use third party vendors and it’s an excuse to over charge for cheap items. This delivery was for my parents and now I’m going to convinced them to cancel this entire order and go with someone else.Way too much confusion and had to speak with way too many people for the same outcome. If you are reading this you can do better.If you shop someplace and you ask to speak with a manager and you are told none are available so you proceed to ask for a voicemail or an email and you are told, “we have a lot of different managers and I don’t know who will take your concern so I cannot give you any further information,” that’s not a good sign. Buyers beware!!!
Walked into Ashley’s furniture and immediately was greeted by sale associate,Bill. Bill was very kind , polite, patient , understanding and most importantly not pushy. Bill did not push any sales onto my wife and I, instead he understood the budget my wife and I were trying to stick to and he made it happen. Bill is very straight forward, takes his time to show you all the costs, from discounts that can be applied to delivery and taxes.Very thankful to have met Bill as he made our experience with furniture shopping a great one. Definitely looking forward to working with Bill again soon.In my opinion, Bill is a great asset to the Ashely team.
We are return customers to Ashley’s on South Road because of the exceptional service. Yesterday and today we worked with Tito to replace our old bedroom furniture. Tito was very friendly, honest and not pushy. Tito definitely had our best interest in mind and wanted to see us make a knowledgeable decision on our furniture. The bedroom set we loved and started to pursue the purchasing process actually wasn’t compatible with our current adjustable base we have. Tito went out of his way and looked into our previous purchase from Ashley’s to see exactly what base we had before he started the process and actually brought that information to our attention. If it wasn’t for his diligent work we could have had a huge headache on our hands. In the long run, we were able to make a purchase that was compatible with our bed. Thank you, Tito for making this process exceptionally easy!
My husband and 2 girls came to Ashley looking for a new sofa set. When we walked in we were politely greeted by Giovanni. He gave us some space and checked in with us which we appreciated very much. When we were ready he showed us around to a few sets offering water, coffee, tea and hot chocolate to us and my girls. Giovanni was very helpful and informative. He knew his product and answered all of our questions. After my husband and I decided on what we wanted we went back and yet again Giovanni did not disappoint. With some assistance from Amanda we left with smiling faces and happily anticipate the arrival of our new furniture. I highly recommend both Giovanni and Amanda if your looking for awesome and friendly help. Thank you to both Giovanni and Amanda for helping make this so easy.
Went with my wife looking for a new sofa and chair. We were greeted by Bill. He was very helpful and knowledgeable and was willing to spend as much time with us as we required. He explained the differences in how their furniture is made as compared to other brands. He really made our experience great. The showroom is clean and sanitized and everyone wears masks. Made us feel comfortable. I would highly recommend Ashley furniture and Bill.
I had the pleasure of visiting Ashley Homestore (1895 South Rd) with every intention to browse ONLY. I had furniture/home furnishing needs. As most NYC shoppers, we shop guarded. However, as soon as I walked into the front entrance, Giovanni warmly greeted me and was at full attention to my needs. He asked qualitative questions and led me to every piece of furniture on premise to wisely consider. He was extremely patient and most importantly - knowledgeable of Ashleys product offering. While considering my top 3 TV stand selections, I noticed a variety of love seats that would work for a den concept Ive been toying/contemplating. Giovanni introduces me to Tito, Ashleys sofa specialist. He walked me to various options as well. I had two specialists walk with me throughout the store and ensure I knew details on all offerings. I left purchasing and was grateful to have worked with Giovanni and Tito.The service was outstanding enough, I returned the following day for additional purchases. I met with Giovanni again and had the pleasure of also working with Brian. Both provided TOP NOTCH service. It was pleasant, educational and most importantly personable.I would definitely return back and highly recommend Giovanni, Tito and Brian!
My wife & I had the pleasure of meeting Bill while shopping around for a new bed for our son. Bill was super helpful and listened to our style requests as well as helping us stick to our budget. Not only did he give us space and time to discuss amongst ourselves, he was right there when we had a question. I would strongly recommend Ashley Furniture not only for their quality items, but because of the customer experience we had with Bill.
Had a great experience shopping at Ashley’s. Our sales person was Bill and after listening to what I was looking for, he led me straight to a sofa that fit my needs perfectly! He was attentive, but not pushy. Very personable! I needed a few days to think about the sofa and he followed up letting me know of a sales event which ended up being perfect timing. I can’t wait for my new sectional to arrive!
My wife and I went in today for a bed and ended up getting a tempurpedic mattress, adjustable base, sofa and recliner. Giovanni and Brian were very caring and attentive getting us waters and getting my daughter snacks. It was a big purchase so when we needed time to talk together they gave us time and space and didn’t pressure us into anything. Giovanni was knowledgeable and a great salesman really knew what he was talking about and was passionate. They took care of us and we are excited to have the best sleep we will ever get.
I’ll start by saying my girlfriend and I had visited 5 other furniture outlets prior to coming into Ashley’s and right from the start the service we received was nothing short of amazing. The manager Sean and salesman Bill were fantastic. They helped us find a gorgeous dining room set that was above our expectations. Sean was extremely busy and still took time in the beginning to help us. Bill was great he went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed, was very informal, personable and was a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend shopping at this facility on route 9 in Poughkeepsie NY or at the very least just stop in and check them out! Will definitely be back in the future to give them more business. I was looking for a couch sectional, Giovanni was the salesman that greeted me, he was very nice and helpful. Giovanni helped me find the right sectional and with pet friendly fabric, He was very knowledgeable about the different fabrics.I was just looking that day. I had seen a sectional there, perfect, loved it, but wanted to think about it. I That day I visited multi furniture stores near by.I ended back at Ashley a few days later and purchased that sectional. Everything went smoothly and excited to receive my new couch. UPDATE: I ended up canceling my couch on February 16, 2 months after my purchase. however they never canceled. I was fed up with the delay and the different dates it was coming, after awhile I did not believe a thing they said to me. A week or 2 after February 16th I find out it was never canceled. I drove back to cancel the couch again. Now I was waiting for my money to be refunded. My experience was so frustrating, don’t recommend this store and exactly 3 months to the day, I got a check. No sectional couch.
Adam was the representative for helping my wife and I purchase our new couch! He was willing to go above and beyond and really making not only a name for himself but for the company! He’s definitely what I would say is a great salesman and helpful all in all with designing the area of the home and I look forward to coming back and becoming a regular for this company! I would definitely recommend more people to the store especially with the help from Adam today!
I have been interested in getting a drop leaf kitchen table for my teeny tiny kitchen and finally found several sets online at ashley but had some questions about delivery and assembly. When I clicked online to chat with a sales associate, I was fortunate enough to get Chelsea. She was quick to see that online shopping wasnt my forte and offered to call me on the phone. Chelsea was warm, personable and very professional. She answered all my questions, was patient when I got off track and soon I had my set and the delivery with assembly all set up. Chelsea is a terrific representative for your business and provided a pleasant shopping experience for me. If I need any furniture in the future I will definitely call on Ashley and Chelsea.
I went to the store to shop for furniture for my son’s apartment. The name of the sales associate that assist me with the purchase was Bill. He was very accommodating, patient, making sure to suggest the products in my list, within the price range I could afford.Got all the info, sit with me and explain my options of protection plans, without being pushy at all. And in my particular case, definitely I thought a protection plan was a must. I have such an incredible experience I would recommend this store to my friends.Thank you Bill for your amazing customer service and kindness.
My husband and I were looking to upgrade our couch to a larger sectional we visited a few stores before going to Ashley’s. Tim showed us around the store and answered all our questions until we found the perfect couch! Our dimensions were tricky with getting the perfect fit for our house, but with the help of Tim and Chelsea we were able to get the couch we loved! They were amazing to work with so kind, helpful, and patient as we made decisions. We will absolutely go back I’m thinking new bedroom furniture is up next and I can’t wait to have Tim help us again!
Although I wasnt greeted when I walked, nor was I approached as I surveyed the store, when Bill was done with the customer he was helping, he immediately gave me his undivided attention. The customer service I received today from Bill was old school top notch! Bill made every effort to accommodate me(not a complicated purchase) answer all my questions, and give me the best service possible. He genuinely wanted me to walk out of the store happy with my purchase and I did. I just happen to be in market for a coffee table. Figured Id check out Ashley Homestore and they had what I needed at a price that couldnt be beat. Great way to end 2020!
Hi To staff: I was at your store last Sunday . We where greetings by one of your sale person. It was great from start we told her what we where looking for she guide us to a piece of furniture. It was exactly what we where looking for & the price was great. So I just can wait to receive. Chelsea was very informative about our furniture and what we can get to protect the furniture fabric. It will not be the last time to shop at Ashley Furniture Store .
Absolute worst experience of my life. My salesman Bill was very explicit in telling me not to sign if anything was messed up on my order. Everything but my kitchen table showed up on delivery day with no Forewarning that my order was short one piece. When I spoke with my salesman I was given an attitude so I just hung up. Now it has been a month and I still do not have my furniture that I ordered and I cannot get in touch with the store that I ordered it from as the answering service poor customer care will not patch me through. So I have to go down to the store in person. Had the family over for Easter and nobody had anywhere to sit After spending $4000 on a new table and chairs. If there was a zero star I would have chosen that
My husband and I walked into Ashley HomeStore for the very first time in Poughkeepsie to purchase a full size bed for a guest bedroom. Tim greeted us in a friendly manner without being pushy and assisted us in looking around. We also spoke with Tim and Brian about other furniture we needed and had a specific budget. They allowed us to pick out what we liked and worked within our budget. We were able to purchase everything we needed. They are friendly and courteous from beginning to end. Needless to say, We are now a loyal customer. Go say hello to Tim and Brian you won’t be disappointedOh and the furniture is American made!!
We visited Ashleys for furniture recently. Had a super good gentleman Tito help us. He was not pushy and was very knowledgeable not only about the pricing but also about the materials and construction of the furniture. We had what we desired within our budget thanks to Tito. He made the entire shopping experience a smooth and non stressful event. The topper was when we paid he told us the furniture would be delivered within 4 days.
Adam was great to work with. He wasnt pushy at all, which I appreciate in a salesman, but he listened to what my husband and I were looking for and found a great sofa for our family. He offered us drinks as we were looking and made sure we were comfortable while he was writing everything up. He also showed us a beautiful coffee table that went perfectly with he sofa we bought. We went in for just a couch but left with a beautiful living room set at a great price. Highly recommend.
6/22 - Recently used Meg at Ashley Home Store and she was great! Very knowledgeable and actually asked lots of questions about my family’s lifestyle to get an idea of what furniture was right for us. She taught me all about many signature Ashley features (zippers that fix themselves and trampoline material as the base of the couch, all hardwood frames, etc). At first, I was in a hurry and didn’t want to listen, however, what she told me made the difference and the sale.6/19 - Jaheeme Griffin was awesome at the Poughkeepsie Ashley store. Do NOT bother going to the Middletown store though. Awful!!! Jaheeme fixed everything for me and restored my faith in Ashley.
The store has a vast selection of furniture at reasonable prices. Be sure to ask for Bill—hes very knowledgeable and friendly. One of the best salespeople Ive encountered in years! He helped me and my wife pick out a great living room set. Ill definitely be returning soon to pick out some additional items.
We went to Ashley’s after closing on the purchase of a new home and were lucky enough to work with Chelsea, who helped us make our perfect living room come to life! She was super helpful and gave us some great ideas for furnishing our new place! She was also very attentive to our needs without overbearing us with the need to push a sale. If you plan on coming to this location, I highly recommend asking if she’s around!The only reason my review isn’t 5 star is because we did have to wait a few weeks for our furniture to come in, but it is worth the wait when it is exactly what you want!!
Giovanni was a helpful, knowledgeable, no-pressure salesman. He listened to what I wanted, located what the store has in stock that matched my description, and didnt try to talk me into anything. He didnt even want to ring me up until I was absolutely sure I was ready to make the purchase. He was friendly and personable without being intrusive. Came to Ashley’s to just look around and get an idea/budget before we move. Home store advisor Bill came over and began talking to us, he was friendly, listened to our story of what we would like. Helped us envision the layout and practicality with the furniture in our home. We left with a whole bedroom set and excited to continue working with Bill. Definitely worth it just to go in and look around!
Oh my what can I say about your salesman Adam! He is the greatest. He was very pleasant. He greeted us at the door and made us feel like we were his very first customer. He never made us feel like were pressured to make a decision right away. But he was always there when we had a question and advice. He is the best.
This place was a very safe place to shop. Everyone wore masks & kept social distancing. There were hand sanitizers everywhere.Giovanni was our sales associate. He was extremely helpful & most of all genuinely nice. He went out of his way along with his manager, Amanda , to help us. We were looking for a very specific type of recliner for our son & they found it for us. We purchased it & are very happy. We will go back in the future.
You cant use a discount coupon if its not in stock at the online site. But we can get you the items because we have a separate warehouse for the store to draw from. Same company? Two warehouses? I believe bait and switch. So why did you send me a coupon that could not be used? The facts are we bought a set last year, even at that time the items were out of stock online but its OK because we have them in our warehouse that we ship from. Today wanted to get two more pieces. Out of stock online so you cant use the discount coupon we mailed you. (Same Company?) But they are in our warehouse that the stores ship from. Well that makes no sense to me. So buyers be informed!

I recently purchased a home and have been enjoying the furnishing process with Chelsea M. and Mike W., trusted advisors at the Poughkeepsie location. They both have been an absolute pleasure to work with! Chelsea and Mike are extremely helpful in finding pieces that are comfortable and functional, but still fit my design. They are very knowledgable about the products and have wonderful customer care skills. They helped me with a bedroom and living room so far and I’m certainly working with them on the next room. If you visit the store I highly recommend working with them! You’ll be glad you did!
I found a couch online I really liked but unfortunately it was not in any store for me to see. Chelsea was the sales associate that called me to help me figure out what I should do and I ended up purchasing the couch. She was super friendly and not at all pushy which was really nice and gave me time to think about the purchase before making it. She made the process easy and provided all her contact information to keep in touch before the delivery date.
I went in looking for several items, I appreciated not getting pressured by sales associates as soon as we walked through door. When I was ready I asked for assistance and Bill was happy to help. Walked in there to purchase a mattress, was not greeted once. Tried out almost every mattress in the store without one person approaching me with many employees on the sales floor. I walked out since I wasn’t being helped walked passed about 4 employees still not one person even looking at me. So I rather take my business to bobs right next store where I was greeted and helped immediately and found the perfect mattress. Thanks bobs furniture store!
I recently purchased a whole living room set from Ashley furniture in Poughkeepsie spent 5700 dollars with them. My furniture is delivered they sent me 2 right facing chase lounges / a table set with no hardware to install it and did not send my lamps or bar stools either in the delivery and nobody from the store contacted me to inform me that some of my things won’t be arriving. Now on to the delivery when the delivery people came they asked to use my drill to set up furniture. Very unprofessional I allow them to use my drill to set up the furniture which they did not even set up entirely they only but the legs on the couch and didn’t even position the couches together. Then after they were done with the delivery the driver left garbages on my floor and left my door wide open and the worst part they took my drill. Now I called the store and they called the driver to return my drill when they came to return my drill that’s when they finally made me sign for my delivery so from my point of view seems like they stole my drill and was trying to leave quick wonder what else they could’ve have stolenNow it’s a week later and I am supposed to be expecting the delivery of my other products that they never delivered and I haven’t heard anything from Ashley furniture in a week. I WOULD DEFINITELY NOT SHOP HERE THEY DONT VALUE YOUR DOLLAR

I was very undecided on what I want it, of course I had a budget and I had a vision . Along came Giovanni like an angel out of heaven and helped me find exactly what I wanted and in the price that I want. A place where you can go and find great furniture for your home, but a place that is seriously lacking in Genuine Friendly Customer Service.Myself and my wife were visiting Ashleys Home store a few weeks ago, and at first we were being attended to by a Manager who was assisting us with looking over some orthopedic beds for nearly 20 minutes. However, this same manager later asked one of his sales team members to finish helping me and my wife out, and lo and behold, 5 minutes into this sales rep helping us out, she took a personal phone call on her cell phone that lasted for more than 10 minutes until me and my wife both walked out.
We had a great experience furniture shopping with Chelsea as our sales associate. she was personable and extremely helpful. she really seemed to enjoy her job showing a lot of enthusiasm. she even offered to keep an eye out for rugs that may fit our living room redesign ideas.
I’ve been shopping this store for about 2 years, always a pleasant visit. James the Store Manager is extremely attentive to all the customers entering and needing support in the store, he’ll do his very best to get you the best possible deals. Purchased my first tempurpedic mattress today with Adam, Adam was super friendly and knew all about the different mattresses and what comfort levels would best fit my sleeping patterns. He had me lay on a bed in which the store uses, Which incorporates Technology in it to analyze your weight and sleeping habits. I look forward to better sleep at night now. I will be returning back to this store for more furniture this fall, Adam will be my go to guy from now on. Thanks guys
Sold me a moldy smelling chair and have the most inconsiderate customer service. I bought a new chair from Ashley this past weekend. When I opened the box to assemble the chair I was greeted by a musty moldy smell. The chair smells like its been sitting in a 200 year old wet basement, its horrible. Ive asked Ashleys customer service to exchange it, thinking this is just a weird, fluke thing and surely a company of their size and stature would have no problem simply exchanging a chair. Well I was wrong, the customer service rep told me that they will not honor and exchange and to try putting a satchel of coffee beans under the cushion. Wont be doing business with them ever again.
Bill was amazing at helping us find the best couch for our new apartment. He was knowledgeable, respectful, and non-pushy - we loved working with him! He gave us numerous options, helped with measurements, gave useful suggestions, and was willing to work with us to find the best deal. Would return to Bill in a heartbeat to purchase our next piece!
UPDATE:I wanted to update my review and change my 1-star to a 4-star. After my original review, someone reached out to me to discuss further. It took an additonal two weeks but I was able to get my bed replaced. I appreciate the follow up and follow through. Though, I do not like that it took all of the below to get this done and over with-they made it right and thats what matters. I am leaving this review to show that eventhough we had a snag, Ashley cares about its customers and wanted to do the right thing. Thanks to Chanel for all her help-she was great.**BUYER BEWARE**Ashley’s sells great looking furniture that can at times lack in quality, which is what it is. However, where they lose me as a customer is the lack of accountability and willingness to make things right.I bought a twin bed from them which broke within 6 months of its purchase. It took from April to Aug 2021 (eta on shipment of new parts) to hopefully repair it. They won’t replace the bed because they can in essence repair it with the parts that will arrive in Nevuary (insert eye roll). In the interim, one of my kids has not had a bed in more than 6 months.If you buy from Ashley, get a protection plan and hope whatever is broken can wait for them to source the parts from overseas. I will never buy another piece of furniture from them again.

Tito and Nick were a great team. I did not intend on purchasing a high end mattress, but the both of them listened to what I needed, and to all of my concerns and suggested the perfect one! Nick walked me through the entire store (even the discounted section). They both gave me all of the pros and cons and the differences in each of them. They both were fun and engaging, and spent a lot of time with me (never making me feel rushed). Ultimately I purchased the greatest mattress I have ever owned. We visited the store after visiting many stores in the area. The overall experience and customer services was outstanding, were so lucky to have Justin Reyes as our Trusted Advisor. He took his time to show us all the options available both in the store and the outlet. He give us prices and made arrangements for us to get what exactly we were looking for. Chelsea was very professional and has a great personality. Her exceptional customer service and thorough knowledge of the stores products made our experience a breeze. Although we decided to buy only one of the two items that we were looking at she stuck with us until the end and made sure that we got what we wanted.
Purchased a $2500 sofa set in November of 2019. After numerous delivery delays - finally received it in February of 2020. That should’ve been my first clue that this was not going to be a good experience.Fast forward a year & the quality is so poor that the cushions have lost their fluff - no stability, you sit down & hit the bottom of the sofa. It’s ridiculous. The cushions on the back of the couch are a lumpy mess and need to be adjusted every time you go to sit down. It’s junk. Never ever will I buy at Ashley AGAIN. As others have stated in previous reviews - I will spend a little more if need for quality at 1 of our other area furniture stores and tell my friends & family to steer clear of this place.

This evening, my family and I had the privilege to shop at Ashley Furniture store. As soon as entered, Bill warmly greeted us with his charisma and infectious smile. He took the time to ask if we wanted anything to drink and proceeded to aid us in finding the perfect high chair for our kitchen. Bill did not hesitate to guide or offer an opinion and more importantly he did not shy away from being compassionate and empathetic.We had an such an incredible shopping experience and we can’t thank Ashley Furniture enough for having Bill assisting us.
Edit: so my review stands firm. Katie was very nice on the phone and email but was not able to resolve any issues after spending $10,000 on their products. She was told by her higher ups that I had to pay out of pocket to fix my furniture or fix it myself. Worst experience ever. Will never go back there and I will be passing along my story to everyone that says they are looking for furniture.Worst possible experience I have ever encountered. Bought the extended 5 year warrantee to cover all furniture after spending $10,000 in the store. Apparently the warrantee only covers damage that happened within 30 days and anything after that is not covered. So I call Ashley and they tell me they can’t do anything to help me either after spending $10,000 in their store. Avoid Ashley furniture at all costs and definitely the warrantee company. Will not be shopping there ever again.
Adam Brandes was a wonderful sales person. He listened to our ideas and directed us to furniture he thought we would like. He was very good at showing us things in our price range as well as pieces that would fit our needs. We also were looking for a mattress, something we had put off for many years because we were afraid that it would be difficult to find one we liked. Adam was able to use a diagnostic machine and then lead us to a few to try out. We bought the second one that we lay down on. Sean helped Adam in the background with the ordering and billing. He worked to get us the best price available.We ended up with a chair, ottoman, sleeper and mattress all within our price range and quality requirements. Thank you Adam and Sean

I’d just like to say, Ashley has the worst quality in furniture. The items are “dropped off” which means you actually have to assemble it yourself. the detriment to that is, if the furniture is damaged you have to wait for them to replace it rather than receiving your money back to purchase something of better quality. If I wanted that, I would’ve went with Ikea seeing as Ikea’s quality may just be superior and that says A LOT! Also their marketing is poor considering the coloring was awful. I spoke with a representative named Tiffany who had the WORST attitude and refused to connect me to a manager for fear of being reported for her subpar service and poor attitude. I wish I could give them 0 star. Poor service. I advice everyone not to choose the warranty services they are offering that is a total fraud. I made a claim 1 month ago till now nobody reached me out. I went in the store they declined to help. They are good to you until you buy they furniture once you pay they don’t recognize you.

When one walks into Ashley Furniture Home Store you immediately have a warm feeling. The sales personnel are welcoming and friendly. The store is organized nicely, so that you can get through the array of furniture easily. My husband and Iliked the fact that once we were directed to our purchase{s} of interest we were leftto be able to peruse the various items without being pressured. The sales persondid check back with us in case we had any questions, and was helpful in explaining different options, of color, size, etc. The quality of the furniture weve bought has been outstanding and durable. So far we have purchased, a 5 piece dining room table set, leather chairs, swivel stools, kitchen table, white bedroom chest, a double reclining love seat, and another reclining love seat with a console.As you can see, by the amount of furniture we have purchased over a period of time that we have a great deal of confidence buying from Ashley Furniture Home Store.In terms of delivery it is indeed hassle free as they claim. They work around your calendar and call the day before to confirm the time and location. The gentlemen who were part of the delivery team took away all the boxes and paper so there was absolutely no clean up on our part. They made sure the furniture was to our satisfaction. After they make a delivery there is a follow up call from the store to make sure youre pleased with all aspects of delivery and purchases from start to finish. We would not hesitate at all to recommend this store to others.
Went to make a purchase at Ashley HomeStore in Poughkeepsie but I got there 10 minutes after closing. After I tried the doors I started yo walk away. S young lady in the store saw me and asked her manager if she could go get me and try to help. Not only did she listen to my story of bring in the store earlier about a potential purchase, she tracked down the price of one piece that wasn’t coming up online. Staying late she wrote up the order and then waited there while I ran home to verify that the size of one of the pieces would fit for me. This young sales person went way out of her way and past the end of her work day, not just to make the sale but to insure the customer was happy. Great effort with a great personality. My experience began when I was looking for a bedroom set. I clicked on the chat now and they asked for my number. So after Chelsea called me and I was on the phone with her for 4 hours. She is very friendly easy to talk to and most of all understanding. She helped me find exactly what I wanted and she was easy to talk to. My fiance and I went in to look for a mattress. We had no idea what we were doing, what kind we were looking for and how to let alone pick a mattress that suit both of us. Tito is the one who helped us, he was absolutely amazing, very friendly, personable and professional. We told him what we were looking for in a bed and that our likes were very different. He showed us this bed/machine that showed us what kind of was going on and are sleeping pattern. We laughed an amazement because the machine and Tito were right on point. In the end we ended up taking home a TempurPedic eight degrees cooler king size bed along with the remote control that brings your bed up and down. We absolutely love it! Worked with Giovanni for at least 3 hours on a Saturday. Very helpful showing my wife and I around the store on multiple sectionals and couches. Ended up buying one sectional, a couch and a love seat. If you want to deal with a person with great humor and an awesome personality, I highly recommend Giovanni.
PSA don’t shop here! Customer service is horrible, if you can even get through to anyone. They are very deceiving and will do anything to keep a sale. We ordered couches on 12/1 with a delivery date of 12/23. Long story short we had to cancel because they kept pushing the date out (all the way to February). They also charged our card before delivering the product which 1- we were told would not happen and 2- it is not legal to charge before service is rendered. I was skeptical but we ended up going to Bobs next door and found a very similar couch and it’s scheduled to come next week.
My wife and I recently moved up here from Maryland and we were looking to find furniture for our new house. I was hesitant about going into Ashley an indoor store with Covid 19 going on but decided to do so because I figured we are in NY a more democratic state so it must be more compliant with the CDC. We needed new furniture for several of our rooms. We stayed only 10 minutes because we noticed several employees and even guests with their masks below their nose even when talking to other customers even in front of what looked like the management because they were watching. I was not going to put my family at risk or start a fight. We ended up buying over 12k dollars of furniture from another store.
Hands down the worst experience Ive ever had with a furniture store. They delivered the wrong items almost a month after they were bought in person. My husband and I have both been talking to representatives via the phone, online chat and email every single day for over a week. We have yet to speak to a single person who can help us return these and get a refund. Weve clearly stated we dont want to wait another month for the correct replacements and yet they keep calling to schedule the delivery of the new ones. We just want to return unopened stools and get a refund. Apparently this is impossible. DO NOT BUY furniture from them unless you want to pay for and keep whatever they decide to send to you.
Sean and I worked together over the course of a few days, and he was extremely helpful and able to deliver my wishes during the pandemic. My mom and I came in to Ashley yesterday to buy a chair for a family member. We were instantly greeted by Jhwill who asked us what we were looking for. He was very knowledgeable in the features of the electric chairs that we were interested in and took the time to research some of the more detailed inquires that we had. He made us feel at ease and very comfortable and reassured in our purchase. He also helped us decide if we should go with the protection plan, which definitely will be worth the extra money in the future. All in all, this was a very pleasant experience and we will be coming back!! We are very excited for the delivery of the chair and I’m sure our family member will really enjoy it.If you’re in the area, make sure you ask for Jhwill! I have a two part review because my purchase was delivered in two parts. My initial experience with the sales person was good. Chelea’s knowledge of the products made my experience with her worth the wait. I’ve been contemplating buying furniture for awhile and she went above and beyond to help me. I am so satisfied with my purchase. As for my first delivery the drivers were rude and showed up early. Then they tried to leave without delivering my furniture. But luckily I was able to catch them before they left. As for the second part of my delivery this is where Chelsea’s customer service really kicked in. She instructed to call the 1800 # which I did. The first call was an hour and the representative hung up on me and the second call another hour to accomplish nothing. Chelsea did follow up with a text and phone call to see how I was getting through and when I complained about how annoyed I was a getting nowhere she tried her best to help. How did a good sales experience turn out to be so aggravating!! Never again Ashley!!! Y’all got me this time but I will NEVER EVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM YOUR STORE AGAIN OR RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE. So now I have to play the waiting game wait to see if I’m going to receive my loveseat that was supposed to come on the day it was promised. But Of course it isn’t coming it was pushed back so now I have to rearrange my plans. Ugh frustration at it’s finest!!! I’ll edit my review when my second delivery arrives. Annoyed customer!!!Ok so my second delivery was absolutely amazing! The delivery guys were kind, arrived on time and did not rush the delivery. They made sure I was completely satisfied with my purchase before they left. Honestly I probably won’t do business with this Ashley Furniture Store anymore. Although Chelsea was nice and knowledgeable and she tried to help as much as she could buying furniture and moving is stressful In itself you shouldn’t have to deal with any extra bs when it comes to the delivery and the quality of service you receive.
What a horribly run company. I ordered a bedroom set for my new home on September 10th....finally after numerous delays and several store visits/phone calls later (due to the stores lack of communication with customers) I received a bedroom set close to 6 months later. To start off the day of the delivery, I have videos of this company driving down a NYS hiking trail to get to my house, because there incompetent delivery team cannot follow a GPS. Then after the furniture was set up in my bedroom, I quickly realized the entire bedroom set was not what I ordered. Upon arriving at the store that day a sales associate named “Bill” who was originally helpful, realized that “Andre” who I originally bought the furniture from in store on September 10th, mistyped my whole order, and I had been waiting on the wrong furniture for 6 months. Bill helped in the store that day start the process of an exchange, that was supposed to take 2 days for approval. 3 weeks later, and several phone calls to customer care later, I had still not been given a date for the exchange. By this time Bill had become completely unresponsive to his phone and my questions of what the status was with my exchange approval. After another trip to the store, somehow a sales manager was able to approve the exchange within minutes, after being told for weeks that I needed an approval that was sent from corporate to the store, with emails being sent directly to me to further prove their email had been sent. At this point I stated that I only wanted the furniture in my house to be picked up and refunded and to cancel my original order. The pick up date was set for yesterday, Saturday the 13th. I received a phone call prior letting me know the truck was 30 minutes away to pick up my furniture. An hour and a half later, I received a voicemail stating that my driveway was unplowed and they were getting stuck and I would have to reschedule. I own a plowing company....my driveway is plowed as wide as a highway. There would have been no issues getting to my house even with a semi truck, which only meant one thing. They tried to drive down the public hiking/skiing trail yet again. Another hour plus on the phone with customer care, and I have another pick up date scheduled. This will be close to 7 months I have had to deal with this disaster of a company. They hire completely incompetent staff, and must teach all their employees to lie thru their teeth to the customer to give the illusion that they care and are trying to be helpful. THEY ARE NOT. Avoid this company at all costs so you do not find yourself in the same situation as myself. Lastly, I’m never one to write reviews about poor experiences at establishments, but this has been such a headache and become almost comical at how unorganized this company is that I feel as if I have to, to hopefully prevent others the same misery.
NOT WORTHY OF ANY STARS!WORST EXPERIENCE EVER ! I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE EVER AGAIN!I am recently made a purchase and Ashley’s furniture for a brand new king mattress and a baseboard for my mattress. This was a Christmas present for myself and my husband. Unfortunately this purchase I made was my worst purchase ever and my last.I have purchased many of times with Ashley’s furniture. And I’ve never had a problem with my purchases.I was introduced to the sale rep Bill Smith and his supervisor Mike they both seem nice and sweet and honest I thought. But when it came down to the final sale Bill Smith and his supervisor Mike was trying to sell me something that I couldn’t afford. It was a purchase of $7000. I told them I couldn’t afford that and then they came around and lowered the price to about $5000. When I saw the second prize I said that’s better so I signed and agreed for this purchase of $5000. I should’ve gotten the hint and not signed anything and said forget about the deal. But I didn’t and I trusted the sales rep Bill and Mike thinking that they were going to do right by me. They didn’t.First the price and than came the delivery of my bed. My mattress arrived but then the baseboard was incorrect so I had to return it and then it was re-delivered again and it was incorrect again the same type of baseboard You’re gonna have to return it again. I had to wait to the third delivery to get the correct baseboard. Throughout all these deliveries in my wildest dreams did I everything that I will be sleeping on the floor during the holidays. Neither my husband nor myself needed to endure this humiliation for a week.Now came the price again. So today I decided to go into my account to see when was my first payment due. When I say my balance my price was incorrect of my purchase. I agree to one price and the increased it to another. I went over to Ashley’s to try to fix the situation and to correct the price. But the sales rep was just showing me or telling me what he thought he sold me. Yes I did sign some papers and I signed for the correct amount I agreed in. But nothing was fixed. Only arguing back-and-forth and who was right or who was wrong or what was signed.I advise you all as Consumers to make sure what’s your final prices before you walk out that door. Because what was said to me was incorrect now I have to pay for it.I sincerely have to say this is been the WORST EXPERIENCE in my life when it comes to purchasing an item from my house.- I will absolutely never ever recommend Bill Smith & Mike the sales rep & Ashley’s furniture to anybody.- I will never shop there Ever again.This has been the worst experience in my life and Ashley nor the sales rep did anything for me and my husband to amend this situation of ours. Not even a sincere apology. Because of this makes me think that they’re only out for the money or the commission as sales reps do.I recommend to shop somewhere else like Raymour and Flanigan or Bob’s furniture.Weeks later after my purchase with Ashley’s furniture. And now because of there increases in there prices without justification and Not rectify the problem of correcting the price from here on I will shop at Bob’s or Raymour and Flanigan. This was the icing on the cake for me. I don’t like to be misled would lied to.Shopping at Bob’s furniture was the best thing I ever did. And honestly was simple and straightforward forward. They told me the price I agree with the price I signed after the price and that was it I was happy customer. When it came to my delivery of my mattress they told me when and where and it was done. No problems and no disappointments. 5 Stars for Bobs furniture.
My husband and I purchased a sectional from the Ashley Furniture Outlet in Poughkeepsie earlier today. Bill Smith was a tremendous help! We sincerely appreciate his time and effort. Without Bill’s help, we would not have purchased this beautiful piece for our new home.

We purchased a couch from Ashley earlier this year. Our salesperson, Rachel, was amazing. She was easy to talk with, listened to and readily answered our questions, and was really funny. Importantly, I never felt like I was being stalked as we browsed around the store, which is how I feel at other local furniture stores.The couch we bought wasnt available in store. Rachel was able to find us couches in store that had the same fabric and cushioning as the couch we wanted, so we could be sure that what we were buying (sight unseen) would be right for us. She was also able to get us next day (Sunday) delivery for no additional charge.The couch came on time. The delivery men were friendly and professional and neat. Our overall experience was exceptional. We wouldnt hesitate to buy from Ashley again.
On Friday, December 4, I accompanied my mother-in-law, to the Ashley Home Store in Poughkeepsie, NY. My in-laws had recently relocated from Virginia. Upon entering, (after being ignored by two sales people), one salesperson was gracious enough to help us. I immediately explained the importance of shopping based on availability because my parents did not have any furniture and it was very important for them to have furniture to settle in with as soon as possible. Our hope was to make this new home as comfortable as possible for my father-in-law who has dementia. We purchased two recliners (one on clearance) a floor lamp, one sofa bed, a lamp (that we also bought clearance) a fireplace insert with entertainment center, a counter height dining room set, two Chest of drawers and nightstand. We were very pleased with the service. Most of the furniture was scheduled to be delivered the next Thursday with the remainder of the furniture to be delivered by the end of December.The next Thursday arrived, and the only items on the truck were the recliner and nightstand. A dining room set was delivered and was the wrong one so it went back. I dropped what I was doing and went to the store and met with the store manager. He gave me correct dates for the remainder of the furniture and assured us that the dining room set would be delivered within a few days. The dining room set was delivered but the table was chipped. Then the warehouse called to give us revised dates for the remaining furniture which spans into the month of February! Since then, all of the delivery dates have changed four times, the repair appointment for the table has been rescheduled several times, more furniture was delivered damaged and all attempts to speak to the store manager, our original sales person or Customer Care has been non productive (at one point, after getting through to the store on the phone, an associate named Veronica answered the phone, realized I called to complain, put the phone down, not on hold, muttered “I don’t need this” and walked away from the phone!) This is totally unprofessional and unacceptable. They simply don’t care.I will NEVER deal with Ashley again! Covid-19 withstanding, this transaction has been completely unprofessional, disappointing and has breached the fundamentals of ethical sales transactions. Had the company been upfront with us, then we could’ve made a decision to either make other furniture choices or patronize another furniture store. Now, we are stuck waiting months for furniture. Our parents home is in disarray and all because we trusted Ashley. I found a sectional piece I loved online. I wasnt sure if it would fit. I was put in touch with Chelsea M. at a store in NY who went to the showroom floor and took personal measurements for me! She actually rearranged the furniture into different setups and took more measurements and sent me pictures of it directly. I couldnt believe how helpful she was, it was the best experience with furniture sales Ive ever had!
I am a mother to two soon to be three. My fiancé and I decided to get a bigger size couch. We were recommended by a friend to go to Ashleys furniture. We took his advice and found the one! Chelsea surely made sure my family and i had gotten the right fit! She is awesome shel lead you and your family to the one you all would love. Now my family and i can snuggle longer on the couch! This store is beautiful, clean and has a huge selection of great quality furniture. Chelsea at the Poughkeepsie location of Ashley Furniture was particularly wonderful. She was knowledgeable, kind and took her time to ensure we had a great experience and truly found the right pieces for our tricky to decorate space. Furniture shopping can be stressful but Chelsea makes sure that her customers have a wonderful experience!
So I have been in the process of moving for a week now. I was shopping online for a new bed and so much has been on my plate that I totally forgot to order the foundation for my bed! I instantly went on the Ashley’s website to compare some of the ones offered. When I saw “5 to 6 weeks” for delivery my heart dropped. I know do to Covid things have been delayed but sheesh! I then decided to do an online chat to see if I can inquire about in-store inventory and possible pick up options. I got connection with Chelsea McClennon who was great at giving me options to choose from. She asked if I can provide my number to better assist with delivery options and product inventory. Unfortunately I didn’t get the call due to her having issues connecting and I knew this because she called me the very next day to check if I was able to make my purchase or still needed assistance. This is what you call superb customer service! I didn’t think she would go out of her way to call me back after the chat was disconnected but she did and I am grateful because not only did she get what I needed but my delivery is coming faster than expected. So I am beyond Happy! Thank you Chelsea ! It was great working with you.
Our experience with Ashley Furniture was amazing. The salesman we dealt with was very helpful and knowledgeable. The furniture was ready for delivery on the date they gave us. We had to change the date and they were fine with that. The furniture came carefully wrapped so there was no chance of damage while traveling. The delivery men were careful and neat. I would recommend Ashley Furniture to all my family and friends.Also the quality of the furniture is great.
I went to Ashleys to buy a new couch for my living room. My salesman was Brian Squillace. He never came across as the usual pushy salesman. Instead, he really made me feel comfortable giving me and my wife the advise and patience needed to find the perfect couch for our family. Going forward I know where and whom to go to for future furniture shopping.
First time customer here.I placed an order on 2/20/2021. Was promised a delivery date 2/22/2021. I called multiple times and they told me my delivery will be scheduled tomorrow to be delivered. A week later, still nothing. Representatives are giving me a hard time of getting a refund. Very disappointed doing business with Ashley Home Furniture.
I walked in Ashley’s today full prepared to be annoyed by the staff who follow you around only wanting to help! To my surprise I met Bill who introduced himself, he hung back far enough to be of assistance, but not be a nuisance. In the end I’m so glad he was there I ended up having tons of questions, he was patient, kind, and above all else he save me big bucks!! Thank you Bill and Ashley’s! I’ll update with pic soon!
Great experience at this store. I was helped by Chelsea and she went above & beyond! She checked in even after I left the shop to answer some questions I had. She provides excellent customer service and was personable & professional. She checked in while I was browsing the store but I never felt pressured. She also made sure to answer every question I had. The salesman greeted me at the door and inquired as to what I was looking for. I described the furniture and type. He pointed out the areas where I can see what was on display and then left me to look around the store. No high pressure sales tactics, no following me around the store. When I found choices, he was available to discuss and give me pricing. I picked out the furniture I wanted and found I was entitled to discounts. Excellent buy on coffee and end tables set plus 2 lamps. Scheduling delivery was a breeze. On day of delivery I was contacted 30 minutes prior to delivery which allowed me time to insure the space was ready to receive the new furniture. The delivery team was professional, courteous and respectful of my home. I am very pleased with the overall experience having shopped at Ashley. I would definitely return for future furniture needs and recommend to my friends and family.
We have been looking for a Long while for a table. Went to many places here and there. Today we decided to take a peak after breakfast at the diner. Tito was amazing and SUPER helpful. He approached us while looking at a table, helped us with that table but listened to what we really wanted and brought us to a table that we didn’t even notice. He truly listened to what we were wanting and lead us in the right direction. We have other Ashley pieces but Tito “sold” us on the what we were actually looking for not just a product. If you are in need of assistance and do not want a sales pitch, go see Tito. We cannot wait for our table to arrive!
First I have to give a shout to Chris. He was great and helped us order our couch quick and easy. The following is not his fault. We ordered a couch in a specific color because I have pets and the darker colors are a nightmare. Upon delivery on Thursday, the couch was the correct color but broken so they had to redeliver on Saturday which was a huge inconvenience since I had to work. My father had to come and sign for it. So obviously he did not know what I ordered. They sent the wrong color couch after reassuring me that the couch was double checked before being put on the truck the day before! It’s a dark olive green (ugh). I called and “all of their representatives were currently assisting other callers” so after waiting on hold for a while I was prompted to leave a message. They have not even bothered to return my phone call. Not a happy customer and will not return to this company to buy anything else!
My fiancé and I came into the showroom in hopes of finding a new bed frame and sofa. There was a frame that we were interested in but unfortunately it was discontinued. Brian came to our rescue and helped us not only find a new bed frame, but a sofa and new desk as well. He took his time with us even when we couldn’t decide on which frame we wanted or sofa color. We never felt rushed or pushed to get something we didn’t like. Hands down I would come back to the store for any furniture needs as long as Brian helps me.
Adam. The *untrustworthy advisor* Adam. The staff at Ashley Homestore. Horrible. Let me start off with that Adam makes his money off of commission. The more a customer spends, the more he makes. Adam took advantage of my 70 year old mother in law. Adam literally told her the bed frame comes with the mattress, & that hed throw in A mattress cover & 4 memory foam pillows all Inclusive with her purchase. Adam said, Youll only have to pay for delivery . She was so excited and thanked Adam repeatedly and he stood there and smiled at her. Come to find out, Adam charged her for all of it. Insanely expensive. She was charged $9,000! Adam lied to her face because shes elderly. I took her back and the store actually backed backed Adam and said Adam is new, Adam doesnt know any better. Im 1000% sure a young guy like Adam knows when hes taking advantage of elderly people. Ashely Homestore management knows too. When training employees, I highly suggest everyone there, including management and especially ADAM learns what integrity means. Lying to get money from people is dead wrong. I will never make a purchase with them again, regardless of the credit line I have with them.
I went in just to browse for a new living room set and met Chelsea right at the start. She has a great personality, exceptional customer service skills and an obvious dedication to her craft. I typically dont purchase on my first run but kudos to Chelsea because in the end, I actually bought a beautiful set. Thanks for all the help.
DO NOT Purchase anything from Ashley Furniture. We have been having an issue with a delivery and customer since Sept. 2020. Customer service is unprofessional and they have no idea what is going on with delivers or orders. You cannot speak to the store via phone, dont even try. Wgixh means you have to drive there each and evertime there is an issue. Stephanie in the store is helpful, but cant make a decision. I have asked for months to speak with the regional or district manager, and nothing as of today 4/9/2021. I have texted, and called for a supervisor finally spoke to a Nicole, who was supposed to follow-up for three days, and nothing. Was promised she would call before end of business 4/8/2021. We have contacted BBB, and will nothing. #disappointedcustomer
I had a great experience at Ashley HomeStore Mike was a wonderful Sales Representative he greeted me as a walked into the store I told him what I was looking for and he showed me the difference options I could choose from and the price range honestly I was shopping around but his sales approach was so on point I had to make the purchase right there and then because I was comfortable with the experience I had. Mikes a great rep and he deserves a raise. #MikeA1 💕💕💕
Giovanni helped us to make sure we found the sofa that worked for us. He allowed us to look around on our own but was available for any questions and when it came down to making sure the sofa would fit in our space, he was there to confirm the measurements from the store. We still havent found the right one for us but he has been a huge help in the search of the couch we are looking for.

2022-05-10A Mothers Day Ride... We decided to check out Ashleys to see if they had any sleeper couches that we might be interested in. At the door we were greeted by Giovanni who immediately asked if we wanted a wheelchair for my 88 year old Mom. She said YES that would be great and before we knew it, he whispered something in her ear and I hear another YES and off they went. Not that buying a sofa sleeper should involve squeals of laughter from an 88 year old woman, but indeed it did. Giovanni took us (per request) to the clearance section first of the sleeper sofas and we saw a beautiful blue leather one that we loved. He opened it up and I looked him up and down and asked his weight (lol he answered honestly) and then I asked him to lay down on the couch and describe what it feels like. He was SO honest in saying he felt the bar and we talked about options we could do for this. Listen, it wasnt the end of the world as its an occasional sleeping space , we totally appreciated his honesty.We decided on the couch and then asked Mom, what do you want to see and she said a new dining table. Just a note, when you reach a certain age, raised (stools) chairs are easier to get up and down on and off -- thats why you see raised chairs in many doctors offices. We found her a cute pub table with four chairs but she was having trouble moving her body and so, we found a similar chair that swivels -- This is going to make all the difference in her life.The rest of the process (who likes paperwork?) went seamless. Natalie worked with us on payment arrangements, delivery, etc and she was an absolute delight. While Giovanni and Natalie were doing their magic, making sure our order and delivery was handled properly, I had the opportunity to meet Shawnae who answered a few of my questions and got water for us. Of course I had to ask for Mike (Senior Store Manager) as I wanted him to know personally how great his team was.Honestly, if it wasnt for Giovanni and how kind he was (simple kindness goes a long way) and his playfulness with my Mom and his knowledge of the furniture he is selling, we never ever ever would have made the purchase at that moment. I am not generally an impulsive shopper and prefer to take our time, but this experience led me to trust Giovanni and in turn, trust Ashley Home Furnishings.Thanks everyone for an easy and enjoyable shopping experience.Julie, Deb and Ann Mae

2022-01-22Our experience with the Ashley HomeStore in Poughkeepsie was great from start to finish! Other places, due to Covid restrictions and supply/delivery issues were booked out quite a bit longer. Our sales manager was great! Very knowledgeable, kind and helpful!Delivery took less than 4 weeks and the two guys that came to deliver and setup were great!Highly recommend this store!

2022-06-05UPDATE:6/5/22When I originally posted this comment and picture I had nothing but great things to say. Now that Ive been using the chair pictured and a matching couch, which both have zero g reclining. I asked the sales person how far we need to keep both items from the wall, to which she answered 2 inches. That is not correct....FYI: While furniture that has zero g reclining does (for the most part) slide forward more than conventional recliners to keep it from hitting the wall, these need more than a 2-inch gap between it and the wall.Therefore....after using the zero-g furniture, it turns out that you will need to keep the furniture at least 4-5 inches away from the wall if you want to recline all the way back.

2022-07-31We had a super fantastic shopping experience at Ashley Furniture Homestore! We were well taken care of by Giovanni as we shopped for bar stools, two couches and a patio set. We were super pleased at how reasonable the prices were considering we had several pieces to buy. Giovanni was very informative, upfront, funny and all around nice guy to wander around a store for an hour with. We never felt rushed or pressured at any point even when we were being most indecisive. We’re looking forward to receiving our pieces in a week (could have been sooner, but we needed to take care of a few things in the house first). All around great shopping experience!

You are greeted at the door but no one is too over the top or pressuring. They assisted in getting it into the car and everything went smooth and quick. She really took her time to listen to my style preferences and recommended me so many beautiful pieces of furniture that I fell in love with. Jessica was very knowledgeable on the products and answered all of my questions and concerns. Her customer service was out of this world! I would recommend Ashley Furniture in Poughkeepsie in a heart beat!
