Asia Food Market in other cities:
Good place with a nice selection of Asian foods and ingredients. The only bad thing about this place are the cashiers, they’re are rude and sometimes even disrespectful. Instead of handing me the receipt, the cashier just threw it and walked away. I only go here only if I can’t find what I need elsewhere.
Best Asian Market in Syracuse. Seafood is amazing, you can even buy live fish, I love buying squid and cuttlefish here. They have a very nice Hong Kong Style restaurant in the back of the store where you can get amazing soups, duck, pork, noodle dishes, and bubble teas. The market has everything that you can think of from dumplings to salted dry fish to freshly made deserts and exotic fruit. They have great deals and verity of kimchi in all size containers. I give this place 5 stars because they never disappoint!
Worth the stop! Im from the Buffalo NY, area so definitely not from around here(3hr drive from my house). This was a very nice little shop/grocery store. The inside is clean, and the food is stocked on the shelves!! I found plenty of snacks,& noodles. There is fresh fish& meat right there, and even a bakery!! I was excited to see the bakery, that had cakes, and pies and other Asian sweets. 🥧🍢🥟🥡🍤🍣🍡🍰🍪🍫🥠 So nice to find Asian food, & the people there were friendly (even tho there is a slight language barrier) will come again if in Syracuse NY.
As an Asian I like this place. You can choose spices from different asian countries, especially South East Asia and China. Frozen meat, sea food, fresh vegetables, meat and sea food. They have an restaurant inside where you can dine in. Different kind of noodles and rice too. Also you can buy asian kitchen utensils, rice cookers and chopsticks. Prices are reasonable. Although the staffs are not very helpful you can find whatever you need quite easily. If you love to cook asian food and you are in Syracuse, pay a visit to Asian food market. Youll love it.
Unmatched variety of authentic asian foods and goods.Sit down eatry has excellent authentic meals prepared with fresh ingredients in just minutes. The stars of the meals is by far the roasted pig and duck.Perfectly prepared.Has an amazing and EXCLUSIVE(cant find it anywhere else) variety of vegetables, meats and goods.
The food here is excellent and reminds me of Guangzhou. I had sīu yuhk and yā and both have real good old style flavors. These flavors are being lost in the new generation of cooks but there are a few that keep the tradition alive like this place. Dont be scared that the resturant is in the back of a grocery store because this is typical of some of the best food places Ive been. Also brush up on your Cantonese before ordering.
Order soy noodle with shrimp and red bbq pork, as the picture showns on top of the restaurant section, pay for 15 dollars but not get any veggie. Even you ate to the bottom of the container. When paid by credit card, I asked them for customer copies. The guy said, he cant give customer copy to any customer. All itemized recipe named BBQ as pictures showns whichis inaccurate. Bathroom is very dirty even that time not busy.
*1st time shoppers BEWARE if you have seafood allergies. As there is a small fish market as you walk past their shopping carts*I was there this morning to get dragonfruit. Some are individually bagged like this and some are notI noticed they had a great amount of new items for sale as it was my first time shopping there in 4 1/2 years.
Its the Big retail interpretation of Asian Grocery stores. Huge, modern , clean ... Fair pricing. You may do a little better price wise at some other Asian markets but I doubt you will find a better selection. For any one who enjoys Asian cuisine ... A must experience it for yourself kind of place.
Good selection and good prices. The fish market has a very strong smell so I typically avoid it unless Im feeling curious and want to window shop. I see people buying the fish all the time so it cant be bad.I love this store and come here when I cant find something anywhere else.
Theres so much variety here! This is a great place to find any ingredients or food you need. I havent visited since I moved to NY but we used to even be able to order cooked duck here. It was so good everytime. Even though it was cooked and ready to consume, wed bring it home and put it on a pan and in the oven to make it even crispier. I look forward to visiting again.
This store is massive. They have just about anything you could want for Asian Cuisine. From Fresh Fish, lobster, and Crab to frozen. Largest selection of soy sauces and rice vinegars. Plethora of spices, and Dried Mushrooms. They even have a large selection of Woks, and utensils to choose from. So much to look at that you can easily spend and hour in here.
Love it here !! Lots of great specialty items, cute cutlery and fun fizzy drinks. Veggies are always a great deal, perfect if youre vegan or shopping on a budget . Most of the employees dont speak English so its a little hard to ask for specific items sometimes but otherwise a Syracuse fave of mine .
I am not overly familiar with Asian Foods but I can tell you this place is PACKED. Very clean and neat and it was very busy which usually points to quality. More kinds of rice than I could have imagined, fresh fish, produce, etc. Prices seem good but I dont have much experience with most of the product. Definitely worthy of exploring.
Interesting array of products/brands. Have not yet sampled the fresh meats but have found everything i have got from here to be excellent! As an English only speaker/reader I found it very easy to get around and the staff are extremely helpful when I cant find that specific thing Im looking for.
Great service, decent selection of goods.....was a very nostalgic place for me. Plus they have black chicken(silkie), eel, frogs and seafood at a decent price!!!.If you love to cook and are adventurous...this is the spot.Only down side.....inside restaurant... they are playing safe.
WOW....any kind of noodle you may want, they have. What an interesting grocery store they have. Fresh fish swimming around in tanks, fruits and vegetables I have never seen before. So much product at reasonable prices. Two things though....store could be cleaner and employees could be friendlier. I will go back.
They seem to have a really good selection but only some of them are friendly. The old cook in the food court was absolutely not helpful or friendly. I will only go there again out of desperation because theyre more than an hour away and I was pretty upset by the way the cook treated me.
Best place in Syracuse and surrounding areas to shop for asian ingredients and foods. Fresh fish market with services. And a Cafe to boot! Massive selection and constantly restocking. Far more organized than the other asia markets..Update! They are back up and going from my last review. Head on in 👍👍
Since moving to syracuse, I have found it frustrating that selection of Asian food staples is quite limited (and expensive!) at the big grocery stores. This market place is not only reasonably priced for the area, but offers a very impressive selection of food and household goods! You can find Japanese, Chinese, and Korean ingredients and big brands that you would regularly find in those respective countries. There are also hot foods available, which is very convenient! If youre new to cooking Asian foods, it might feel a little intimidating, but the associates are very helpful and eliminate this issue. Its definitely worth checking out if youre in the area!
Such a good place to get foreign groceries. They have fresh produce, fresh fish and stored fish and anything you can pretty much think of. I really enjoy shopping here and all the food here is amazing. Im obsessed with their macaroons as well. Cheapest price for them Ive ever seen but still so delicious!!
The Wegmans of asian grocery stores in CNY. Great produce section. Outstanding variety of fresh seafood. Nice little nook to enjoy prepared foods. The duck is terrific. I love the mom and pop asian shops all over town. But you cant beat this place for one-stop excellence.
This Asian Market has about everything you would need to make wonderful and delicious Asian cuisine. Prices are a bit steep, worth it. I wouldve given this place 5 stars but unfortunately, their associates are very rude and NOT helpful at all. I wanted to ask questions regarding some of their products...I waited at that counter for 45min and I cant tell you how many of their employees walked past me and never stopped to ask if I needed them. So I just decided to check out with what I had already put in my cart. I came to the check out aisle and an Asian customer cut in front and the cashier said nothing, just kept talking to the lady as if she didnt see what the customer had done. I took a deep breath and said nothing. When my turn came, the cashier did NOT TALK AT ALL and angrily used hand gestures for me to put my items on the conveyor belt...I still kept calm...when my total came up, again, she didnt say a word (mind you, I SPENT ALOT OF MONEY AT THIS PLACE) I paid for my groceries and then she threw my receipt at me and DIDNT EVEN SAY THANK YOU......and just to add more injury to insult...I happen to be CHINESE.
Your typical Asian market except its in Syracuse, not in Queens, NYC. It has Chinese items the most but has good selection of Korean and Japanese items as well.*Ratings are given in consideration of the location, physical condition, overall price, staff, and quality of the merchandise in regards to price of individual items at the time of reviewers visit.
The staff is kind and helpful. They have many options to choose from. Their prices are good on everything they sell. Their fish is very fresh and priced well. What more can you ask? We travel 45 minutes to get there and always leave with treats for the kids that they have never experienced before. Its a nice change of pace and well worth the trip.
I love this market! I want in for an Asian pear and Korean chili paste and $55 later I had a basket full of sauces, curry pastes and snack foods. Live seafood, great produce, and kitchen goods were tempting, but saved for a future trip. Fun to browse, and good stuff to eat.
I LOVE their pork buns they make their sooooo yummy. They have other stuff that I love to look at and buy best place to buy instant noodles of different kinds they have fresh produce that looks so yummy that you want to buy it even though you dont know how to cook with it they have stuff that you cant find at the grocery store or Walmart
Nice asian market, they have a good variety of products, mostly food but also some cooking, cleaning and random products. They have fresh vegetables and fruits. Prices are decent for the area. Good amount of options for instant and normal noodles. Some options for drinks, spices and salsas. Some sea food. Also some desserts and breads.
+Great selection of Asian Products+Decent size store+Good Location close to downtown– roadway entrance should have been wider– Baked goods arent properly managed, sometimes they have mold as soon as you purchase them, so examine everything you buy first+/– Food at the restaurant inside is good but has bones in it, authentic but annoying
Great place for finding all the Asian groceries that your regular grocery stores dont stock. Also serve some hot meals like duck (not too bad!). Every time I go in I feel like Im going in a grocery store in Asia, and with an Asian wife, we usually stock up on a lot every time we go. (And yes, the fish section can sometimes be a little stinky, but thats a fish market with a fairly big selection for you).

2022-02-17This store was a great find, I truly loved the bakery in the back. The store itself was fully stocked and had some great prices and foods. The only thing I picked up from the fresh veggies were bean sprouts. They were very fresh and lasted an appropriate amount of time. But throughout the store I found a ton of great items to pick up. However, checking out was a bit of madness. It was busy, the cashier rushed you, barely said anything and then once I was back at the house I realized a couple items were missing. I would have to visit this store more than once to know if this was a consistent issue.

2022-07-14A hidden-gem of a market in Syracuse. I would never have expected a city this size to have a full-sized asian supermarket. Fresh fish, meat, and even a bakery can be found inside. They have a ton of stock, and their prices on many items are as good, if not better than any comparable items in other grocery stores. I highly recommend skipping the Asian foods aisle at your other stores and coming here instead.

2021-04-15Great place to find Asian ingredients for Ny meals. The staff are friendly and helpful. The place is really clean. It does not smell bad like bad seafood. I have experienced that from many Asian markets. I always find exactly what I need. The proces are really reasonable.

2022-07-15Bakery items are made fresh and comes out by 11am! Had to grab a savory fried mochi as well as a wife cake along with some breakfast staples. Market items are very varied. Supplies might have been still being unloaded because the HK style ramen, Nissin Demae, in Black Garlic style was decimated.

2022-08-16My first time in Syracuse but my experience at this store is unusual. The cashier scans my items, tells me the total, I pay her, then she just walks away. My items are on the belt and I was expecting at least ask if I wanted a bag but no.

2018-04-08Wonderful Asian Supermarket, they have almost everything that folks from the Far East might want or yearn for. A very nice fresh fish section, very nice vegetable section, good meat section and a small restaurant with authentic Asian dishes, there is dim sum as well. Lots of choices to be had.

2022-08-14Chinese goods are complete👍 but the vegetables at retail 🥬 are very stale! There are fakes for the spices (I once bought 5 bags)!

2022-02-12I have been shopping at here for 5 years, and I have always had a good experience. The goods are complete and the staff are friendly. Until today, one of the cashier lady forcibly took away the two boxes I used to pack things and turned them into one box, saying that its too wasteful to pack the things I bought into two boxes? ? ? As a result, the small box was full of stuff, and it was piled full of things. It was a lot higher than the box. I asked the lady that the box could not be closed at all. When I am driving later, things will fly anywhere. The lady said: My box will not leak, and my box will not fly. . . Free box has always been one of the default rules for shopping here and today is indeed the first time in 5 years. I bought something for $124. I was in a bad mood because of a box. I wanted to give one star for my mood. I thought of the always friendly boss and wife. Forget it, two stars. I hope that the lady will open up her mind, think about it, customers will always come back happily, or save a box of money for the boss, which one is what the boss really wants to see.
