Aspen Dental in other cities:
What a joke. Almost $10k to pull teeth, and that doesnt include dentures. So glad I found Cancun Cosmetic Dental. Under $15k including travel to get it all done. Dont waste your time or your credit score with these scam artists. I debated whether or not to edit for Mitchs reply....... If you finance, you get put with Dental First, which only works with Aspen. You will lose~100-200 points on your credit score if you decide to finance an extraction (and they dont tell you until later that dentures are not actually included). The temporary dentures they give you afterwards dont even appear to be based on your actual mouth. The mob movie loan sharks are at least honest about how theyll treat you.
I had dental implants at Aspen in WinterHaven . They put 2 bottom posts in the same day. They gave me no Pain meds and I had to pay thousands out of pocket before the surgery. Then my insurance paid thousands of dollars to these people and my Implants are not as they should be and I’ve gone back time after time for adjustments. They we’re supposed to give me a7.000$ refund which never happened. I was in so much pain until I was screaming 😱 in pain . My face was swollen and bruised for weeks and I’m still having problems. What the Hell. I’m saying. These people didn’t help me. I still have the same problem today as I did when I walked in their door. Ms Not Happy With Aspen Dental At All.
Everyone at Aspen Dental were professional and knew what they were doing! Explained to me what my plan would be and would get me in as early as can be for my up coming visits! The office girl was pleasant and was able to explain my choices of things the dentist had explained earlier.I mentioned I could only do a fraction of it and she gave me a plan that satisfied me! They really worked with me and I would recommend them to anyone!
I scheduled an appointment for x-rays, tooth extraction, simple cleaning and imprints for partials in the back. The extraction was performed on Aug. 3, 2021. The teeth imprint and simple cleaning was to happen on Aug, 26th. However, the Hygienist, Joy, refused to perform a simple cleaning and insisted I get a deep cleaning. Im a senior citizen on a fixed income and that process wasnt in my budget. I explained that all I want now is a simple cleaning and she refused to do it. Joy was rude, and overbearing. I then spoke with the office manager, Hope, and she agreed with Joy as did Dr. Marof. I was stunned that these so-called professional people would be so arrogant and disrespectful to a patient that questioned treatment method and plan. This disgusting behavior took place at Aspen Dental at 1114 So. Clinton St., Chicago, IL. They will never get my business AGAIN! And people wonder why theres advocacy for socialize healthcare.
I’ve been having tooth troubles since January. It came and went, but due to the ever growing fear of the corona I couldn’t find anyone to accept me as a new patient. The pain went came and went on and off for months before my mom found me aspen. They didn’t accept my insurance, but when they found out how bad my teeth were they gave me a new patient appointment the NEXT day.Since I didn’t have insurance they accepted they gave me a free exam, free x rays, and when we discovered my problem they helped me to find a payment plan that worked for me and set me up to have my wisdom teeth pulled out barley 2 weeks later. They also sent me home with a script that stopped my tooth aches and made me feel like a new person until yesterday, when I had my teeth pulled.I was scared, having a slight panic attack and every one was so nice and kind and understanding. Dr Elliot explained everything he was going to do during the procedure and why, and even though I wasn’t at ease (through no fault of the staff just my own anxiety) it was one of the best experiences I’d had at the dentist. He talked to me and gave me some laughing gas to settle me down and get my IV in... then I blinked and the whole thing was over! I was escorted to my ride, and the nurses gave my man explicit instructions on how to get me feelin like me again.I highly recommend the Camillus Aspen. Professional, kind and they aren’t boring.
Insurance billing is opaque, and copay $800+ required before work is done. blank waivers must be signed with no indication of work to be done. im a notary and never sign empty documents. very fishy, i told them, as well as coercive. incomplete instructions given over the phone about driver staying there. we never do that in writing. indeed! No meaningless call to/from Mitch in admin. will change my opinion or experience. I only chose Aspen because its the only place thats in my insurance network. Your bad reputation with add-ons and sales jobs precedes you on the grapevine.
Just our first visit, but anticipating that well have great service - clearly our dental health was not as well provided for at our previous practice in Washington and that concerns us, given that we attended routinely as required. Suzanne and I are hopeful that well get the issues resolved with the Aspen Team. The staff are great and coping really well with the State requirements for Covid......we felt safe in their hands..Ill report back as it all progresses.🤓
Every single time I go there theres always a feeling that I am welcome. I know that some people have a problem with them cycling in and out of doctors but Missy is a constant face of recognition and she is consistently ready to help at any time. Nina is probably the best dental hygienist Ive ever seen. I will always recommend this office!
I am international student from Jamaica, and I was experiencing severe pain. I had to call around to several dentist, and I few of them were not nice, they mostly complained about not being able to understand what i was asking because of my accent, or not being willing to help because they dont accept my schools insurance provider. I am really glad I found Aspen on West Genesee road in Syracuse. It is a bit far from me, but was worth it the travel. The doctors and staff were all nice, and helpful, and they tried there best to provide me with the care and service I needed.I am really grateful. Best of all my doctor has Jamaican heritage and family ties, which made me even more comfortable.Thank you to everyone there.Sincerely,Krystol
I have only been to one office visit so far and to rate or base my experience on a one time visit would not be accurate. I can tell you I have gotten numerous emails and text messages to fill out a questionnaire(kinda annoying actually) . I did have a warm and friendly experience with Anthony at the Camillus office. Also the hygienist was super friendly and nice!
Nice office and great staff but wow were they expensive. Went to get another evaluation somewhere else for dentures and the price was literally less than half of what Aspen wanted. Aspen also offered us financing at 14.9% while the other place has interest free options, so I would emphasize for most people there are better options out there if money is an issue.
I had a surgical consult with Aspen dental in Fairmount in early December. I was in a lot of pain with my wisdom teeth. I arrived that day on time and had all my new patient paperwork previously filled out and I was told to take a seat and someone would be with me shortly. I patiently waited for almost 50 minutes before I asked when I would be seen as I had to go back to work in another hour. At that point I was the only person in the waiting room and no one had spoken to me or even acknowledged that I was waiting for almost an hour. I was told that I would be seen very shortly and asked if I wanted to reschedule the appointment. I said that would not be necessary if I was seen soon.About 20 minutes later, I was brought into a room and the oral surgeon very quickly discussed my previous oral radiographs with me and said that my problem was with my lower wisdom tooth that was impacted and infected. The oral surgeon said that he probably would not recommend extracting that tooth because it was close to a nerve that if he hit during the extraction, I could lose sensation on that part of my lip. However, he could perform a CT of my mandible and that would give him a more accurate picture if he thought that nerve was at risk of being damaged. I was quickly rushed to perform the CT and when I asked the financial person how much it was going to cost, she said it would be covered because I was a new patient at Aspen. At the end of the appointment I was told it was going to be $60.00 for the consult and I signed the receipt after I gave my credit card. The office later called me that day and told me that the oral surgeon did not recommend extracting that tooth.I was very frustrated with that visit and still was in a lot of oral pain so I decided to get a second opinion. I am so thankful that I did as the new oral surgeon explained to me that the problem is actually my upper wisdom tooth is over- erupted on that side and rubbing and irritating my lower gums. If the other oral surgeon had taken the time to look in my mouth, he may have seen that too. The new oral surgeon removed my wisdom teeth without any complications and I am finally pain free.I wasnt going to leave a negative review despite my experience, but 1.5 months later I was sent a bill for the CT of $155.00. I called Aspen Dental in Fairmount and they told me not to worry about it as it was covered by Aspen since I was a new patient. I shortly received another call from Aspen dental and was told that I would be financially responsible for it if my insurance did not cover it, which I knew that they already had denied the claim. When I tried to talk to the women regarding the miscommunication as two team members told me that it was covered, due to the new patient policy, she was very rude and did not even apologize and just said it was up to the insurance and I already signed off on it. I was willing to pay the bill regardless, but I just wanted to discuss the miscommunication and to prevent it from happening to anyone else in the future. When I explained that to her and said I just wanted an apology, she was again very rude and gave me an insincere apology and said it was up to the insurance. This is the first negative review that I have ever written and I felt like I had to make it public to hopefully prevent anyone from going through the experience that I went through. I was not only misdiagnosed by the oral surgeon, and treated very poorly by their customer service team, but there was a huge miscommunication on their part regarding the cost of services, which they would not even acknowledge.
Appointment was suppose to be a consult for wisdom teeth and it was booked incorrectly as a new patient instead. It was very confusing as we never met the oral surgeon who we expected to be meeting. I felt like the staff should have been more apologetic for the inconvenience. This error was made by the call center where I booked the appt. I understand mistakes can be made but it was not a good first impression.
Doctor did not call in pain medication to pharmacy add he said he would. The pharmacist could not reach the office for assistance as there is no on call doctor after hours. The emergency number could not reach the doctor for assistance as the office did not have an oncall doctor. Im wondering what the use of the emergency number on the discharge paperwork is for if they cant reach the office
I went for a simple check up since i was switching Dentist offices. They checked on the condition of my gums, i have slight gingivitis, i’ve never had any mouth or tooth pain prior to visiting aspen, they made me pay a 200$ deposit onto my next appointment where they would be giving me A TOOTHBRUSH MOUTHWASH AND TOOTHPASTE, so the $200 down payment was for the appointment where they would give me those items. the day of the appointment they wanted another $200. $400 all together for utensils i could have got for $100 AND i’ve had terrible pains since i’ve visited them. They also tacked on multiple things adding up to $3,000 AFTER INSURANCE. Terrible experience I requested my deposit back and i will NOT be returning.
The people here are friendly, however, they have to be since the environment there is very sales based. On my check form I added that I started to have sensitive teeth. But when the doctor looked into my mouth, he glanced inside for only about 15 seconds and said, your teeth looks great, however, are you looking to possibly close some of the gaps up? Once he said that I knew I was going to hear a sales pitch. He completely ignore that I wrote down that my teeth has been starting to become sensitive. This place doesnt feel like a dentist. It felt like another smile direct club.
My usual Aspen Dental closed down so this was a first time visit to the new location in Fairmount. Things have changed a bit from before the change. Now, they require X-Rays even though I dont have any teeth and am 72 years old. I gave them a bit of a hard time about that but they tolerated my abuse nicely. The main purpose of my visit was to get a broken tooth on my denture repaired. They did a wonderful job on that. Very skilled technician(s). I guess my only complaint was that when I go to a business for a product or service (broken tooth repair) I dont like jumping through hoops which have no bearing to getting the repair I need. Seems like in this case the customer ISNT always right and the needs of the business exceeds the needs of the customer. Itll be interesting to see if that is a successful business plan in the future or if they, too, will close down this location as they have in two other locations. As for me, Ill go back based on the quality of their repairs, the skill of their technicians and their pleasant demeanor in spite of my orneriness.
Came in for a cleaning. Did not receive a cleaning after an hour and a half appointment. I was told to come back for 2 gingivitis treatments and a new mouth guard for the low price of $600. My cleaning and mouth guard would have been covered. I heard them pitching the gingivitis treatments to other patients as well.
This is a new dental hygienist for me as I had recently changed locations. She obviously knew my case, and explained each step making me very comfortable. The few questions I asked were answered easily and to my satisfaction. The hygienist made a couple of good suggestions concerning oral care and moved me for annual x-rays and to the dentist for a check.Very pleasant experience.
I heard from people that Aspen Dental was a good place to go. Then some said not to go there. So I had to find out myself. Im not happy at all with Aspen Dental. All I want is to have a cleaning. Or if I need a filling, then do it. But because they recommend I have a deep cleaning. Then they wont do a regular cleaning. Till I have a deep cleaning. I think thats BS. It should be up to me what I want. No I wont be back. I also wouldnt recommend to anyone. They can recommend what they think I need. But in the end. Its my decision. Thats how I feel.
I was terrified of the dentist, enough to a point where I let things go and caused more work for me to have done. I was already in serious pain and I was sure my nightmares would come true. Needed 2 root canals and crowns. My experience was far from my worst nightmare. They made sure I was comfortable and painfree during each procedure. Not only that I was treated like a friend and not just another patient. Now I have my smile back. Thank you everyone at Aspen.
First time in the office & everyone was smiling. Waiting room was clean and home-like, and the wait to be seen was not long. In the private exam room, there was a cable TV aimed right at where I was sitting in the dental chair. Also, when I was reclined for my exam, there were pictures on the ceiling (clearly someone cares about their patients). Pleased with the financing options available, and will be returning there again!
The doctor and staff are great! They are all very courteous and efficient. They call me if they have a cancellation to see if I want to come in earlier. My husband and my son also go there. My son required extensive work and his teeth now look beautiful and he is extremely happy! I thank all the staff! !
I had a tooth extracted yesterday and as nervous as I was, the experience was not difficult in any way. The oral surgeon could not have been better. He took his time. He made me feel like I was his only patient that day. The office manager and the staff, I have found to be very informative and professional. Thank you so much for making me feel confident and fearless about going to the dentist.
They are great at getting you in the door. Nina, the dental hygienist is nice and wonderful. She bent over backwards to accommodate (within reason, of course) and was extremely proficient at her job. She took the time to explain everything thoroughly. I will say they they do try very hard to get you to buy products through them.As for Dr. Reid, she is heavy on the novacaine so expect to be numb way past what you need to be. She is not easy with the needle.(its not a pinch) if you have any bit of TMJ, beware.I needed some cavities filled so she said. They ended up being root canals. When it came down to the temp being put in, it didnt stay due to ill fitting. The staff gave me s difficult time about it telling me that it didnt matter if the temp fell out and exposed the under tooth. Really?? Then why cover it in the first place. The temp popped within 3 hours. So not happy. My husband needed upper and lower partials. They forgot to order them. We waited a month until he healed from tooth extractions. He went in for a cleaning and asked after them and was informed that they werent ordered because impressions werent done by the dentist. Another appointment was set for those to be done. 2 weeks wait, he gets his uppers, but the lowers are not ready yet. He is told there is a problem and they need to be re-done.Its been 2 weeks, no phone call from them, so I decide to call and check. They dont seem to know what I am talking about. They are still on order. Im sorry but it has been over 2 months since my husbands teeth have been pulled. Why does he not have his partials????My mother-in-law gas all her teeth pulled and walked out with temp partials that day. What is the issue.I am done with Aspen. Do yourself a favor. Go somewhere else.
I went to a consultation at the Oswego office and scheduled oral surgery at the Camillus office. I was called an hour before my surgery and told I needed to pay $688 before the surgery or cancel my appt. The manager at Camillus was very rude and not helpful at all. No one gave us any info other than “insurance was entered wrong”. The Oswego office scanned my insurance card at the first visit so I don’t see how it could be wrong. I asked about billing codes and was told no it’s just wrong insurance info. Also Aspen doesn’t submit a predetermination to insurance as is standard practice (this is done to find out what insurance covers for a test/procedure and then provide an accurate bill to the patient). They also don’t tell you that they don’t do this. I didn’t know they didn’t do this standard practice until afterwards when I talked to my insurance company. Also the office manager kind of laughed at me when I questioned a $31 charge on the new bill she showed me, said “well it’s only $31” as if I shouldn’t be concerned with paying this. There were many offensive comments like that during my conversation with her. Overall the staff at camillus office were horrible. I don’t believe Aspen is run appropriately.
Horrible customer service. They lie and tell you that you need work that turns out to be either unnecessary, or not required. Also, they take advantage of people who are in physical pain.I was told that I was required to get something specific done before they could build back a chip on my tooth and prep for a crown. I told them that the hygentist said that the work wasnt required and wanted to have the tooth built back first, so I wouldnt have to walk around with a chipped tooth. I was told NO that is not how they do it, and it was in fact required to get done. However, when the hygentist had a death in her family the office needed to cancel the so called required appointment- but told me at that time it was okay to do the very thing I originally asked them to do, which was build the chipped tooth back first. They told me that being that I couldnt make the appointment it was okay to have the other work done. I brought back to the managers attention that it wasnt me who couldnt make the appointment- in fact, they actually cancelled it due to the death in the hygentist family and I have the voicemails to prove it - and I also asked- how was it okay to skip that appointment now, but not when I originally asked? Why isnt it still required? Basically, I did not receive a good answer to why I was lied to.If you dont want to be lied to and overcharged, do your research and look the other way because Aspen Dental is just a name with no substance. RUN! I am really confused by their rating. It cant possible be that high with the poor customer service. Unless, of course, the ratings are from YEARS AGO!
The staff was very friendly and polite.Long story short, I am going to another dental office to fix their mistakes. My teeth are in WORSE shape after going there than before I went.I only went because I hadnt been to a dentist in a long time, my wife had an appointment and they got me in right away as well. One filling was wrong, and still is after the doctor fixed it on my second visit. The fillings that were done on the second seem OK, however, she either knocked a filling out of the tooth behind the one that was worked on, or hit it with the drill. This was after she missed with the shot of novacaine, and it went up into my cheek. I now have to go elsewhere to get a new tooth checked and fixed, as well as the ones she already did redone.I will never go back there again, and would not recommend anyone go there either. They may be a very nice group of people, but they should not be practicing.
I hope anyone who goes here never has an urgent dental need. I have been going here for about 5 years and I called them on Thursday, 3/14 to see if I could get in within the next day or two. Person came back on the line and said April 17 was the next available appointment. I pushed back indicating this needed to be looked at soon, but over 1 month was the wait. NEVER going there again! Id otherwise give this 0 stars, but the system wont let me.
Had broken upper denture that I first got 9 years ago at Aspen Dental. They repaired at no charge as it was on warranty (7yrs). W it broke again a year later. Since it had been so long since I first received my dentures, I decided to get a new upper denture. They re fitted my denture and repaired my bottom partial do to losing another tooth. When my new denture was done, they made sure I was satisfied with the fit and color. My new denture fits perfect and looks great. I went there for dentures because thats what they do best. I do see my own dentist for cleanings and care on my remaining teeth. But I feel the higher end dentures they provide for sale are a good value and look great. Remember Dentures do not last forever. If you have them you will have to be refitted at sometime in your life. Your body changes as you age. And eating things like nuts and other hard foods wares on your dentures. They are a hard plastic.. not enamal .
Pros: Clean, Friendly, modern.Cons: Long wait, (despite me filling out paperwork prior to arrival); did not see Dentist I had initially requested online (was called to another office); could not schedule cleaning same day as initial appointment; ridiculously long wait for first cleaning appointment (in fact, will be cancelling...)
They were able to closely replicate my originalsmile, without ever seeing it in person or photos. They did this solely by my oral requests. That is simply amazing to me! They are an awesome team and a 5 star establishment, that is worthy and then some, of recognition and praise for their hard work and sincere dedication to their care to their patients. From day one , I have been extremely satisfiedWith the entire staff there. They are professional, sincere, nonjudgmental and caring. All of which makes an awesome dentalPractice.I just cant thank you enough for giving me back my smile, a smile that I can be proud of.You guys rock! I look forward to a long and lasting relationship with you as an establishment.I will proudly recommend you to my family, friends and colleagues.Sincerely,Patrice Papazides
I was told that I needed a root canal but then they wanted me to wait for three weeks for an appointment. They quoted me $300 more for a crown than what my HR department said was the most expensive crown. I went in for my crown work and then they double billed me for a portion of my work and only credited it toward future work after I repeated asked about the amount being billed. They place a temp crown which fell out 1.5 days later which again shows their subpar work. Now they are making me wait five days to have it replaced. Everything I read says you should see your dentist ASAP but they act like it is no big deal.
The worst dental clinic Ive ever been to. They have branches everywhere, but they dont have Endodontist. My appointment was in 2:15, and by 3:15 they told me we dont have Endodontist, and when I asked them why didnt you tell me before I came here, and the answer was we can do the other teeth for you if you want. What a shame! They just need money. They just wasted my time and took $209 for X-ray for nothing beneficial to me. I left the clinic, and the pain was still in my wifes tooth.
Two days ago, I developed throbbing pain in my left lateral incisor and phoned the office needing an emergency appointment. I was promptly scheduled for a 2 PM appointment that same day and immediately upon my arrival, ushered into X-ray and then Dr. Wus examining room. Dr Wu listened carefully to my complaint, examined the tooth, and then correctly diagnosed the pain as gum irritation due to improper flossing. She instructed me on better flossing and brushing technique and suggested a warm salt water mouthwash. Now only two days later, the pain is completely gone.
Dentist taught me how to floss my teeth and then referred me to an endodontist. when I asked if there was any any dentist available he said that he had been sending his patients to one that was open. the reception is handed me a useless piece of paper with no information about an endodontist on it and when I asked her to get the name of the endodontist from the dentist she told me she could look it up on Google for me.
I dont want to bash people or places, so Ill simply write my experience and you can take from it what you will. My first visit to Aspen Dental was for a consult to make sure I needed my wisdom teeth out (I knew I did, but this is protocol, I understand) I cant remember exactly how long I waited for the dentist to come in the room but it was over an hour. She came in, said open up...yep, look at that. They need to come out. They then put me in a different room to talk finances and schedule an appointment. I kid you not, they forgot about me. I waited in that room, for...oh I dont know, maybe another 30-40 minutes. A woman came in and was startled by me sitting there and said I didnt even know you were in here, its a good thing I didnt bring another patient in like I was just about to. She sat down with me and went over finances, taking two wisdom teeth out was $1700, they required 60% (I believe) down and the oral surgeon only comes to that location once per month and full payment is required before surgery. I was told the surgeon is always running late on surgery day so to call before my appointment to see if I needed to show up on time or if I should come in later than my scheduled appointment (which was at 2:30). I called, they said to show up at 3. I wasnt called in the surgery room till after 4pm. Typically, when someone is going under anesthesia, they are walked through whats going on...but not this time. A needle was stuck in my arm for fluids, BP cuff was put on...I barely met the surgeon. It was all very rushed...no words were spoken and I was under. When I woke up, with the BP cuff still on, the needle still in my arm...Im all hooked up still, but i was ALONE. They left the room when I was waking up and I was by myself! I was shocked (and a little high) but started shouting HELLO, HELLO!? someone came back in the room, and again SILENCE. I said Sooo, everything went well!? I got a yeah and they started cleaning up the room to get ready for the next patient with me still in there! He starting spraying the table with some sort of cleaning agent and sprayed it all over my legs. They got me up, and stuck me in another room (like a separate waiting room area) and again NO instruction, no words. Just sat me down and walked away. I stuck my head into the hall and said What am I waiting for?! A dental assistant told me they needed to make sure I was good to go. I told her I felt fine, she said well if you feel fine, you can go. I literally, got up and walked out. No discharge instructions, no information. They didnt tell me anything. Everything was very rushed, I felt like just a piece of the assembly line. Obviously my bill was paid in full before the procedure but now that Im thinking about it, I paid (out of pocket) for 45 minutes of anesthesia and I wasnt under longer than 20 minutes. I would never recommend Aspen Dental to anyone. They are all about the money and I feel like they dont care about the patients at all.
My visit, felt like they were pushing sales like a commission based scenario. I felt like I was at the dealership. This strongly discouraged me from believing anything they were trying to sell me. I will be looking at second opinions. They also misdiagnosed me with Periodontal Disease. I have Lupus, and I clearly stated that, which is also an inflammatory tissue disease.
Overall I have to say it was a very disappointing experience. All I wanted was a cleaning, so I called and scheduled an appointment for a cleaning. When I walked in, I was told that this was a check up with xrays only and once that is completed I can schedule a cleaning. Total insurance rip off in my opinion, I didnt need xrays, I came for a cleaning, however, nobody told me that you HAVE to have xrays first. Additionally, there were some billing issues that took forever to resolve...Bottom line- I will never return. Thanks
Didnt like it at all. They went against what my insurance allowed. Stuck me with an $1800 bill. Have to call numerous times to get a referral emailed to me. Dr. Reid is friendly thats about it. Oh...dont accept the electronic toothbrush they give you...you get billed for that as well. Stick to smaller dentists if you can.
I spent a few thousand dollars a year back getting my wisdom teeth removed I also had them do some fillings.... What was extremely irritating was the fact that they didnt give me the choice between amalgam fillings or composite. I even tried to talk to them about it and they just acted like I didnt know what I was talking about. I have the money for composite fillings what are they another 20 dollars? Instead they just gave me amalgam fillings without giving me the choice..... Then They act like its a posterior tooth thats darkening my smile, and its part of the care plan........ The care plan that they made up?These teeth are mine why wouldnt I have say in what your doing to my teeth?I tried to follow up with them on that and they just act like I need to pay to have them replaced. They should have been done right the first time!Im going to pursue another practice I will tell everyone I know to steer clear.
I went only to find out their rates and whether they accepted my insurance, but they insisted on doing a full set of xrays and an examination and they tried to bill me even though I expressly said I did not want them to bill me unless I decided to become a patient. I have not done that They seem to have only one approach to patients and this seems very formulaic and oriented to billing for everything they do.
Wary of dentist after many stints with UNICEF in remote areas of Africa, Asia and South America, so to get me back in a dentist chair has been tough for me. I just relocated to Syracuse so I asked for recommendations from colleagues, and Aspen in Camillus was favorably mentioned a few times. I though Aspen as a so call chain would be more factory-line service, but each and everyone I spoke or dealt with was phenomenal, from the receptionist, finance, periodontitis, exam-technician and a great dentist. I have just begun a long process, but I am feeling so comfortable in my choice.
I scheduled an appointment and took time off from work. They told me if my insurance didnt work they would call me. They called me told me everything was fine. I show up on time, fill out pages and pages of medical records. Then I hand them in and they told me my insurance isnt covered. Thanks for wasting my time and money!
As a new comer to the us , didnt know wt payments system means addind a hard inquiry on my credit, dodnt know that a simple damn cleaning costs 3000 for adding so many stuff that i didnt need ,after I cancelled everything, i still received a bill of 1000 dollars!!! It was only the basic check which supposed to be for FREE!! Left too many voice mails no one called me back , you guys are the worst !!
My family and I go to the Aspen Dental in Fairmount... We use to love it there.. but every since this new person started working at the front desk it has been very frustrating.. They had to reschedule my husbands cleaning due to a family emergency with the Hygenist.. The front desk person lied and told us she tried to reach us on our home phone number we have on file that i have repeatedly asked to not call us on. When I got home I realized not only did she lie about calling but she actually sent an email. Another incident with the same lady .. I asked her if she can look in my file to give me some information on some work i got done in the past.. my experience with her is.. everytime i ask her to look something up for me she can never find it.. But everytime i sit with the Hygenist Nina she seems to find everything without me even asking.. Nina is very knowledgable of her clients.. So I asked her if i can leave a message for Nina to call me back... regarding my question... It was very frustrating because the the lady called me back to give me a message from Nina.. on a question that i didnt even tell her to ask.. I honestly dont believe she gave her the message to call me.... I gave it 3 stars because if it wasnt for Nina, I wouldnt even go to this location anymore.. she is the last good staff they have left.
What a joke of an establishment. my wife goes to get her teeth pulled and have a partial, the appointment they made for her doesnt work for the dentist they push her appointment up and then give her a hard time coz the Novocain isnt taking due to the fact that the pills they prescribed are interfering with the Novocain Seriously!?!?!?!?!? since when do you pay someone to do work for you and you have to work around there schedule.
For the last two visits I was very pleased even though we had a bad start in the beginning .. it was solved in no time ... the doc is very friendly and helpful so is his assistance and also the receptionist .. I hope DR Finley is going to stay I have seen staff changing a lot over time and is frustrating Keep up the good work 👍
This place is awful. I have a few unfortunate circumstances from going here. Like them getting rubber molding stuck in my gums. And also coming in for tooth pain and having them bother me about other things that I was not there for. For sales purposes,it seemed like. Did not feel human.
Efficient...but misleading. You talk to one person who tells you about promotions, discounts and payment options( for no insurance) and when you get there...its a whole different story...Also a note to whomever is in a similar situation with no insurance and soso credit...Payment for services is required before you can even schedule and appointment...such as extractions, etc... not really happy with the results.
First time here was looking for a basic checkup had an appointment for the 12th they called me asking to reschedule for another day i agreed , got here for my appointment had 4-5 people go ahead of me before i had to approach the receptionist and ask why i wasn’t being seen yet when i had an appointment if this was the case then i should have been told
When I first came to this office I thought it was going to be great, but I was wrong. The people are nice, but they don’t tell you the full information right away. Be careful, you might have to pay extra due to them not being honest with you. Go somewhere else.Esta gente de acá no sirven, no te dicen la información cómo debe de ser. NO SIRVEN
DO NOT GET DENTAL TREATMENT HERE, THEY ARE A SCAM THEY TOOK $2000+ FOR THE OPERATION AND REFUSED TO OPERATE IN ME BECAUSE MY TRANSPORTATION BACK AND FORTH WAS A TAXI AND NOT A PERSONAL FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER. I HAVE BEEN IN BLINDING SICKENING PAIN FOR A WEEK AND THEY JUST SIMPLY DO NOT CARE. THEY ALL DESERVE THE WORST IN LIFE.

2021-11-11They gave my dad and I free dental care for veterans day, which was really amazing of them. Especially to include children of veterans. Then we show up, and the office is decorated and there was free snacks for veterans. It was really nice they went above and beyond, and my dad was so happy. My hygienist was so great, and so was the dentist. Would highly recommend

2022-05-12Had a pretty decent experience. The dentist was a little apprehensive when my daughter went from the pediatric dentist to her first appointment is an adult dentist. (Her pediatric dentist was over 3 hours away and the only pediatric dentist in the state covered by my insurance. She just aged out of the practice.) She was a bit nervous, but the experience made her at ease. She was actually the active party who wanted to get on the ball with her dental health. Gotta love kids!As for me, It had also been quite a while since I’ve had a regular dentist. I was moving around a lot for work. Finally, I decided to go here as it was recommended by my insurance. They got me back on the right track after going to the dentist irregularly for almost 11 years, Other than a cleaning here or there. Decent experience over all.

2022-02-21Very professional and also very friendly staff, as well as competent and caring medical personnel and Doctors. I called on Saturday and was able to be seen Monday morning. The process and procedures were all explained and payment options were presented. I would recommend Aspen Dental if someone is looking for a Dental Health establishment.Ron

2022-02-17Staff is very nice and thorough. I had most of my needs met. On some X-rays I was told when asked that my thyroid could not be covered that it got in the way of the X-ray. This is the only issue I ran across.

2022-04-04Back in November my wife took my daughter there. She set up a care plan and our out of pocket was to be 140.00 when I took her in to the do the work they charged me 133.00. I said Im sure my wife paid this already. They said you have to pay it or no work. So I did. Then they pulled me aside and said u need to authorize the work today. Sign here. I did and then they handed me another care plan. Im like this isnt right we already did this. I went home and sure enough my wife paid and so did I. It has been 5 months and no refund and no communication. They admitted the mistake but refused to refund the over payment. They kept giving me excuses and will not follow through. Very poor customer service. I am still expecting them to refund the 133.00 and now at this point any credit not used for the cancelled visits too because we will not be doing business there again. By the way I have the paperwork I expect a refund.

2022-04-30Everyone was so kind and did a good job regarding everything. My dentist, Dr.Kirk Finlay, did an extraction; very professional and painless! I asked for him to do my next extraction next week too 😊

2022-04-02I’m not one to make my complaints public. But i have Been given the run around through almost 4 people and a wrong email to try to contact a higher up manager to try to get a refund.I was Seen twice at the Camillus location and both times my work was no where near exceptional.I felt It was rushed and very unprofessional. Along with uncomfortable conversations being held in front of me as a new client at this location. The first time i tried to call, i wasnt Given a name but they were sweet and gave me a manager complaint number. They were also very kind.I was Told a manager named “ Kasey” would call me.Instead i got A manger named “missy” who was close to awful with my customer experience. My work is uneven, sharp, exposing in areas where it should not be and I am In excruciating pain to the point i can not Eat solids and my teeth are very sensitive in the 3 spots they did work.I had No pain in any area prior the work i had Done here as aspen .I’m very upset because now easy work is going to turn into more work that needs to be and now also fixed because the lack of integrity and work they have done in my mouth. If the manager Amanda contacts me that will be 4 people to try to get A Hold of for any answer on the refund i am asking for because of the terrible work that was done to me.Upset i have To try to be heard this way for a problem to be fixed that they caused.I would NOT recommend this location personallyEDIT/UPDATE:4/2/22I am losing 1 of the teeth they worked on.And got an infection from it.Will probably lose another tooth/get a root canal canal.(which they said i am more than likely going to lose the tooth)They didn’t remove the entire cavity out of ANY the teeth they worked on. (3 teeth)So they have to be redone.I have seen 2 separate dentist and an oral surgeon to confirm this.Honestly i am thinking about suing.I have insurance but the timeOff and PTO i will have to use because of their mistakes is heart breaking. It’s unnecessary i have to use my personal time i worked hard for, to fix their horrific dental work. Please please DO NOT!!!!!! go to any aspen :(
