They’re simply amazing! The dentist and the staff are super friendly and they make it so much fun for each child…Each room of the clinic has a different fun theme, they let the child choose their prize at the end of the appointment, My daughter is obsessed of going there :DWe have been going there since 2016, I used to take my daughter who has autism to a different Dental clinic before Astoria Smiles Pediatric for regular check ups and at age of 5 in 2016 she had a big cavity in her tooth and the old clinic told me they won’t take a risk of filling it without full anesthesia due to her constant movement and i didn’t know what to do then until i decided to try another place and it was Astoria Smiles Pediatric which was a bless, my daughter’s first visit was like a welcoming visit and she got comfortable in the place and Dr Rashmi and the rest of the stuff sang for her and made her happy and comfortable and the following visit they did the same thing while Dr Rashmi just used the laughing gas and did the filling for my child like magic..I even remember having an emergency on Christmas Eve due to swelling in her gum, Lina answered the phone and send the prescription to the pharmacy.Also, Dr Rashmi, gives time explaining the procedure to the parent and explaining it step by step to the child so they won’t freak out.It’s one of my daughter’s favorite places ever, they even know what she likes as a prize and they prepare it for her before her visits, maintaining a child with a disability in a dental clinic is almost impossible. I can’t say enough on this place. I’m just so thankful for such an amazing team who i really appreciate their efforts and patience on both me and my child :D
Very great service. Amazing staff . Dr. is very thorough and takes time to explain everything in detail. My appointment was at 2pm and I reached there 1.55 . They took care of my kid rigthaway without wasting any time, even though I did not bring my paperwork prepared. They asked me to fill it while they look at my kid. They are very much cautious about cleanliness and sanitization which is much needed in this COVID situation. Definitely best clinic I came across in NYC.
This place is wonderful I do recommend it . Its great 4 your child first experience at the dentist. Its such a Cute place. Shes really great ! With kids. They are friendly . I have taken my daughter seens She was 2 until now shes 5 years old. We love it !!❤
Was looking for a pediatric dentist and came upon this place through yelp. I had no idea what to expect but went here based on reviews and how they have openings on the weekends. We had an appointment at 11am and arrived at 10:30am and there was nobody in the waiting room. After filling out the paperwork we got seated almost immediately. We basically finished our appointment ahead of time.The doctor was very nice and enthusiastic. She was almost over the top but its what is needed when dealing with kids. She explains to the kids everything she is going to do on the stuffed animal and even lets the kid practice on the animal if they want. I think most kids might be cautious at first so they usually just watch and not practice on the stuffed animal.Each room has a dedicated TV and they play a childrens channel from Netflix. They have themed rooms. Each themed room obviously have a different set of stuffed animals. The chairs are very comfortable and all the equipment is up to date. I wouldnt say its the latest and greatest model but nobody needs that in a well functioning practice.It was my kids first time at the dentist and of course she cried, but that is to be expected and the exam/cleaning only lasted about 2 min.The office is within the apartment building. Hit the button on the wall and you will get buzzed in. You will not get internet connection inside the office. They do have guest wifi with a pw, so thats very helpful. They should have a guest-5G network too.I would highly recommend this place if youre looking for a pediatric dentist. You wont be disappointed.
My daughter had to have a baby tooth removed after she fell off a bed. This was the second tooth that had to be removed, the previous one done with a very brusk, not child-friendly dentist.Dr. Rashmi and her assistant Michael were AMAZING. They explained every step to my daughter, went very slowly, and made sure she was comfortable through the entire process. Every night now when she brushes her teeth she says Dr. Rashmi said Im doing a good job and my teeth are so clean!I cant say enough good things about this practice. We wont be going anywhere else until my kid is 21 :)
Fantastic service!! they make the kids feel comfy and they dont pressure you into services ... Dr. Rashmi is the best!!! ... friendly and understanding staff, very professional... i wish adult dentists were this great!!
This is the best pediatric dentist in Astoria! The staff is super friendly and great with kids. They care about their patients and until now have always stuck to the appointment time. Highly recommended!
I absolutely love this placeMy kids have seen several dentist in the past but this place is so thorough from billing to procedures. The whole staff is extremely kind and sensitive to the children they treat. I highly recommend this dentist.

Dr. Rashmi is incredible - the consummate professional and such a special interaction with children! The crew is beyond words - Lena, Emily, Brenda - are devoted, dedicated, knowledgeable and supportive. You could not ask for better!

It is shocking how unprofessionally I was treated with all these 5 star reviews. They said they didnt know why my appointment was not in the system but they knew how to take my info, make me pay before service and make me wait with my baby for 2 hours. I will never be back.
3 months is their earliest appointmentI tried to call this office after 11 am today which it is their work hours but no answer , and when they finally answered i was asking for appointment for my 2 yo son se told me ealiest one gonna be in december 🤣So dont waste youre time calling they dont answer and even if they did they give you 3 month appt 🤣This is hilarious

The dentist is too pushy and didnt clean my teeth well. Seems like she wants to just make money and purposely does a half job to make you go back for more cleanings, etc.

2022-01-13My children love going to the dentist and I do too (well, this one anyways). The front desk is helpful and kind, theres never a long wait to see the dentist, cleanings are thorough yet expedient. Also the pricing is reasonable. Ive been to other pediatric dentists and sometimes you feel you are being pushed for things its too early to consider - not with this office!

Dr. Rashmi, Lena, Emily, and the rest of the team are professional, engaging, and personable. These qualities are hard to come by anywhere! As a parent, I appreciate all their efforts to keep things going smoothly and to give the children a dental experience that they will cherish when they are older. Astoria Smiles is the best!

2021-04-29Dr.Rashmi is a wonderful Pediatric Dentist. She is exceptionally highly skilled, knowledgeable and thorough. She is warm, inviting and respectful to the children and parents. If any work needs to be done, she is gentle and nurturing. Our kids adore her! She has gained our children’s trust and confidence from our very first visit. This is evident in how they respond to her during our visits. My children (ages 13, 10 and 6) have been her patients for 10 years. She goes above and beyond her duties as pediatric dentist. We are very fortunate and blessed to have found Dr.Rashmi. She has a great way of explaining to the children the importance of dental hygiene. Her expertise surpasses pediatric dentistry on all levels!! At every visit we leave knowing our little ones received quality care, from Dr.Rashmi her self, to the dental assistants, to the receptionist. Thank you Dr. Rashmi and staff we have been blessed to have found you!

2022-01-06First of all I want to say I as mom was very very nervous about taking my son who is 2 years old for his very first visit to the dentist just the thought of it made me anxious.I was put on the waiting list for several months because of the COVID situation but it was totally worth the wait.When we got there everyone was so attentive, the place looked sparkly clean and full of nice decorations that made us feel welcomed and more relaxed.When we got inside of the office they had Netflix coco melon to distract our son. What I liked the most about this visit was that we were told what to expect during the process so it got us prepared for what was going to happen and how to react about it.His first clean lasted 2 minutes, did he cry? Yes he did but it was a short period of time and after that he got a toothbrush, some toys and a helium ballon on his favorite color which made him happy, it was like a birthday party with all the goodies.Doctor Rashmi was very gentle,,kind and clear to explaining the treatment that my son needed. Thank you for you professionalism and dedication

2020-07-08Dr. Rashmi and all her staff are the sweetest people you will ever encounter. We went to different pediatric dentists and eventually found her. My kids love her and we do as well. They are the nicest, most genuine people you will ever meet. She takes the time to explain to the kids what she will be using and her next steps. I think the kids appreciate that instead of being anxious. As a parent, she tells us what to do next and what to expect. Words cannot even express how much we love her and her staff. They make you feel so welcome!!

2021-05-19It was my sons first dental appointment. He’s almost 2. The office was busy but clean and kid friendly. My son was crying (he thought he was getting shots haha) but they had a tv inside the room and they put on Cocomelon for him, which calmed him down a bit. Staff were great. The doctor was nice and explained everything. Visit was super fast and he was happy about the balloon he got after.

2021-09-09We love Dr. Rashmi and her entire staff. Dr. Rashmi is very thorough, knowledgeable and highly skilled. Each of her staff members are also very thorough and knowledgeable in their line of duty. Everyone is so helpful there. Every single visit always ends with a smile from everyone.

2019-02-12This place is wonderful!! The office is decorated so nicely and kept very clean. The staff is extremely friendly and kind! The dentist herself is amazing!! I wish I had a dentist like her when I was a kid. Honestly best dentist you can ever ask for. Extremely welcoming, kind, and with a sense of humor. My 4 year old child is currently being treated for cavities. And she’s done a excellent job. I also brought my 3 year old and 1 year old. I definitely recommend this place!
