Although things with financing didnt work out as planned (make sure the location of your ID matches your insurance card/addresses) due to some weird strict rules from Hyundai financing HQ, but Ed took good care of me. I ended up selling my car to another dealer, as they gave a higher value, and Ed still worked with me, making sure I could get my Hyundai! He personally drove me around town, helping me out since he understood the bind I was in with not being able to finance and having to pay in full!! Thanks for your service, Ed, I know it wasnt an easy sell!
I had such an great experience here I am quite thankful. I got there and was helped almost immediately. My situation wasn’t easy because I was trading in a vehicle that was still being financed and decided I wanted to lease one of their vehicles. They bought out the rest of my term and got me into a brand new 2022 Kona! Regardless of it not being an easy process they helped me throughout it. I worked with Alexander Ortiz and he was super personable and knowledgeable. I also worked with Jay in finance and he made sure I got the best deal and broke down everything to me so there were no surprises. Thank you for everything!!
I bought 2022 Hyundai Palisade from these guys with pleasing results. This purchase was done remotely which is not usual and sometimes complicated but sales Brandon Leo did his job great! He was not only keeping me posted (that it was important when you buy remotely) but also assisting the whole selling process and even car loading for transportation to Florida. Thank the all Atlantic Hyundai team for a great job!
I was there with my 2020 Hyundai Sante Fe for a routine oil change & maintenance appointment. Wait was 1.5 hours and was a busy day there. They provided me with a free car wash for the first time!! Very nice and very appreciated due to the pollen layer on my car. Ali, was my service advisor, very professional and courteous! All good, everything seemed great!! 😀
The absolute worst service advisors I have ever experienced ever. Never return phone calls. Never kept informed of what if any progress was being made on the service being performed. Had my car for 5 1/2 months not one call during that entire time. If I called I was promised a call back to let me know what the status of repair was. Never received a return call. Unbelievable.Very satisfied with the car but will never purchase from Atlantic Hyundai again. Can only hope other Hyundai dealer service departments are nothing like Atlantic.
I was mislead and had a bait and switch happen to me. To start I was told the car I was getting had “the convenience package” which includes a sunroof and heated seats. on the window sticker there’s a section called “convenience” that is literally just air conditioning and manual seats that my salesperson described as a “package” and made me think i was getting heated seats and a sunroof. The nail in the coffin was a call saying the silver car we agreed on was already sold and the only other one was bright electric blue. I immediately cancelled the car. Only things I can recommend if you MUST get a car from them is 1) look at the window sticker before you agree on the car to confirm the features and 2) make sure you physically see the car before you sign on it or agree to it and confirm the car is available
Don’t waste your time going here! We made an appointment with Sandra on Monday to test drive a vehicle on Tuesday evening. We got there about 15 minutes early and she wasn’t there. That wasn’t a problem we waited. While we waited someone went to get a vehicle for us to test drive and told us that they don’t have any. They were sold out. How about picking up the phone and letting me know instead of wasting my time driving out to the dealership. I will never be coming back here again and I do not recommend to anyone has the most people we speak to have now told us the same stories how they try to get you in there and they don’t even have a vehicle. Waste of time and gas!!!!
Justin was the best. He really took his time with me and showed me all my options. I’m extremely pleased and will 100% be going back for any of my needs for my car. He was so delightful and I can’t thank thank him and Atlantic Hyundai enough for everything they did for me. The best service I’ve had in a very long time.
Had a wonderful experience buying my 2022 Tucson. Sean Sierra was great through the whole process showing me the car I wanted. Jay, Business Manager was a delight and so helpful through the whole process. Highly recommend going there if looking for a great buying experience
I went in for the first time to get an oil change. I apologize for not knowing the name of the male representative that took care of me this morning. Hewas very polite and helpful. Everyone there was busy doing their part and it was also busy with people doing possible the same thing I was, so I waited about 2 hrs for my car. I kind of expected it when I saw all those people waiting too.I had a great first experience with no complaints. Yeah team keep up the good work. Happy Holidays to you all and a very Happy Healthy New Year. Thank you Atlantic Auto Mall.
They falsely advertise their inventory, especially their used cars. Don’t trust them. Their customer service is horrible and there’s some shady business going on with their used cars. They posted a used Hyundai to Cars.com and their website. We called, made an appointment to look at it, and when we got there, the car wasn’t there. It probably never existed. We waited six hours while they said they were “detailing” the car. Then they were “replacing a part.” I wouldn’t trust this dealer at all.
Worst place you can buy or lease a car. Last April 6, 2022. Get scammed by Robert Sedrish ( Finance Manager ) by over $4,000. He made me wait more than 5 hours to finalize the documents, knowing that I had a long trip back to my state and that I had traveled to pick up the car. He is a person who has no word and lies to your face. After agreeing on the monthly payment which I had to give an additional 1000 dollars to be able to reach the agreement. And while he was doing his work on the computer, I repeated the amount that we had agreed on and he told me yes several times. I ended up paying over $50 more than what we had agreed on and raised the price of the car an additional $3,000. All this taking advantage of the fact that I was tired and that I trusted his word. I didnt read the documents until I got home 1,600 miles later. when I realized the scam of him. To all this he never answered my messages trying to communicate with him. The worst place to buy a car.
I was recommended this dealership by Raymond Scott and he suggested I work with Sandra Redway. The initial process went very smooth especially since I was coming from Maryland to purchase the car. The majority of the process was done online prior to me making the trip. Raymond was able to check out the two cars i chose online and helped me make my final decision! Their website had updated inventory each tome I checked before I made my decision. Sandra made sure she could get me the lowest % rate and took care of the trade in of the car I had. Once I arrived the place was busy with customers at 10 am! I didn’t wait too long before Sandra came out and took care of me. The final part was completed in 3 hours which wasn’t too bad IMO because Sandra was taking care of more than one customer and did not skip a beat. Near the end Raymond stopped by to make sure everything was going ok! For my first out of state car purchase, I was satisfied with the process and very happy with my new/used car!
I had my car in for service in November and my service advisor kept me informed during the couple of days they had my car.Recently I returned for an oil change and a software recall and I was taken care of right away and they had my car all ready.Unfortunately I had a gas smell that they couldnt locate, however Jon my advisor told me it may have been because of the cold so if it comes back to just come right over and they would take a look.Couldnt ask for more than that.
Two staff members made my experience with the dealership very satisfactory. A sales representative on the dealership named Ritik was friendly, patient and earnest. More recently, I was treated especially well by a member of the Service Department team named Justin. Justin took responsibility for making sure I had a good service experience. He checked in on me and updated me during my wait. When an important item I needed was not available, he had my car picked up and returned to me. He took care of all the paperwork and followed up with me, making sure I continued to have a good experience. Although the service station is a long drive for me. I would return to Atlantic Hyndai service department becauseof Justins excellent service.
Phillip was great!! He worked very hard to find us the right vehicles, with the trim we wanted. He was patient and upbeat despite being in the tough position of finding stock that was available. Salespeople are in a very difficult position and I worry about their ability to make income. But he never pressured us into something we didn’t want.
Staff, namely Pete, Ed and Robert, were very accommodating, friendly, and efficient. They worked with me for 2+ weeks on getting the car I wanted and all the paperwork handled for me ahead of time. It was a painless process once I got to the dealer and was able to take my new car home. Thanks again for all your help!!
Salesperson was excellent. Negotiated fair price on car and trade in. Above MSRP. But they jacked up the sale price on the contract. Even though we had a deal. Fees appeared that werent part of the deal. Was there waiting for 4.5 hours, when this happened. Get the contract filled in before you get to the financing part. And allow a long time to complete the process.
The salesperson, Brandon Leo, was great. He knew the car we wanted inside and out, was able to explain all of the features. He also worked with us on our budget, was able to to get us the car at a price we could afford, highly recommend Brandon and the Atlantic dealership.
Excellent experience. Matt Threadgill was polite, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. We would give him a 10 out of 10.He made the buying experience stress free and really listened to what we wanted and then delivered. The dealership is efficiently run and has a great selection of vehicles
Everything went very well today. Brought my car in for a scheduled recall. Service attendants were prompt, Justin was professional and pleasant as he wrote up all the paperwork, he also arranged a ride for me from Lyft. The service on my car was completed quickly. Thank you very much for making this a quick and pleasant service call.
Best experience purchasing a car ever. Sean Sierra the product specialist was not only friendly and attentive he made everything go seamless and expeditiously. The current car purchase was for my daughter. However, when I am ready to trade in my Palisades I will most definitely be reaching out to Sean at Atlantic Hyundai.
My mother has been trying to get my car repaired (painted) since April 2021. My case was approved by Hyundai Corporation of America in October 2021. I was told by Atlantic Hyundai (in October) if I needed a loaner car they would contact me when one became available in order to set up the appointment. As of this date (2-1/2 months later), they havent contacted me regarding the appointment & loaner car, wont take my phone calls and wont return my phone calls. Meanwhile the paint is randomly coming off the car more every day. I cant wash the car for fear of more paint peeling off. Ive bought 2 cars from this dealership and went there there to lease a car from them also and this is response We get for being a loyal customers.
I can not say enough about Atlantic Hyundai.Brandon Leo my salesperson was exceptional. He was professional and offered exceptional Customer Service. I walked in just looking to view and Test Drive a Hyudai Venue and ended up Trading in 2 cars and walking out with leases on a Hyundai Venue SEL and a Hyundai Sonata N Line. Excellent deal and not a lot of haggling. The Sales Manager and Finance Manager were great.I would highly recommend this dealership and Brandon Leo.
As always a very satisfactory experience@ West Islip Hyundai Service, everything was perfect, car was ready for pick up in less than 1hour.My front desk person (advisor)DAVID H. had excellent customer service skills and he was realistic in terms of what should be done with car. Thank you for great service.

Where to begin. I was assigned Salesman Brandon Leo, he was informative and very communicative which is honestly rare to find. I was shopping around for car for sometime and often found myself with salesman who lacked communication and customer service skills. Brandon made sure he communicated with me the entire step.Initially I put a deposit on a 2022 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid Limited. This car so far has proven to be difficult to find. No dealership has them and if they do. They’re already sold before people get to test drive them. Brandon was able to confirm they had one in stock. The exact color and trim I wanted.A day later an unforeseen problem appeared. Someone had already placed a deposit for this car. I was out of the race for the car I wanted. Brandon made sure to call me immediately and informed me so that I don’t waste my time going down there. He then gave me options on another car and offered to keep an eye on that car if the deal fell apart. He refunded me right away. Later that night, I was in luck the person changed their mind. The next day Brandon came in on his day off and helped me through the process. I had originally gotten a quote via consumer reports which they honored. No hidden fees the price you get is the price you pay. Plus taxes and or if you want additional warranty. Brandon made things easy for me and my girlfriend. And unlike another review I read here. He offered us lunch! What a great salesman that knows the value of customer service. I will be recommending him and this dealership to my friends/ co workers. Thanks Hyundai Atlantic for the easy transaction. Please note the following: Know your finances before you’re out to “buy.” Don’t waste peoples time and energy. I see very angry reviews here but often time the story is repeated. You didn’t do your homework and wanted them to make some magic for you? Then you want to be upset because of your poor life choices? Cmon. Do the homework first.
I had a great advisor today - Virginia - she got me out in a timely matter and only let me know what needed to be done to my car! But then after my car was done a sales man took me across to another building and it felt like the last desk in the building - he then told me I would have to sit for an additional half hour to talk about trading my car that I have less than 3 years for a new car but I could trade with a $10,000 deposit with the same monthly payment - why would I trade my 3 year old car that I traded for a 10 year old car and a 6000 deposit - especially at a time when used cars are worth more - it left a very poor taste in my mouth
I bought my car 1 year and 5 months ago. I have 14,000 miles on it. The car play in the car hasn’t worked right since I bought it. It’s been back to Atlantic Hyundai at least 5 times. Tim Turnbill, service manager, was less than helpful. He was more concerned about not “making money” off my car than even trying to fix the issue. I was threatened with a text message that said they were going to start charging me with a fee for the loaner if I didn’t come pick up my broken car asap! They lied to me in that I was told they had a fix for the issue by corporate Hyundai and the service manager Tim said corporate doesn’t know what they are talking about. There is no fix. Virginia who was a worker said when I dropped the car off that I would be charged for a diagnostic test because “they didn’t know if the car was in an accident or if I tampered with the wires”. Really? I highly suggest not purchasing a car from Atlantic Auto Mall in West Islip. I know I never will again.
I dealt with Andrew who was very pleasant, patient and knowledgeable about the inventory.Business manager Fawad was also very patient and helpful in breaking down the financing options. My 4 star rating is based more on inventory although this dealership had more than most others. Its a painful process to make this big ticket purchase especially in todays economy. I spent 5 hours from walking in the door to driving off the lot in my new 2022 Hyundai Palisades SEL. Atlantic Hyundai made it as easy and pleasant as can be. I would come back.
I wouldnt recommend this dealership to my worst enemy. I originally went to this facility to the Atlantic Toyota next door to compare the Toyota Rav4 Hybrid and Hyundai Tucson Hybrid. The Toyota dealership said they did not have any Toyota Rav4s for me to test drive, so instead took me around in a Toyota Avalon Hybrid (nice, but not what I was looking for). Then I was escorted over to Hyundai to test drive the Hyundai Tucson Hybrid. I LOVED the Tucson and Phillipe was very helpful and friendly. HOWEVER, they brought me over to LENNY to discuss my options for buying or leasing a car (I have never bought a car before, after 10 years of leasing, I was considering my options). LENNY did not even give me numbers for leasing telling me no one is doing that right now. Lenny would not even run my credit at first, telling me that the best he could do was 4.9% interest rate. Finally, when he did run my credit, he looked shocked to see that I could possibly have a high credit score, saying, oh look at that, you have good credit. Then he proceeded to question me about my big mortgage and then asked if I cosigned with someone on my mortgage, as if to imply there was no way I could afford a big mortgage on my own. I asked him multiple times to break down certain numbers he was giving me because I wasnt understanding them, after explaining AGAIN that I have never bought a car before and I would like some guidance. Phillip had printed out the sticker price for the car, but Lenny kept telling me it was $3,000 more than that for all of the other things included, but wouldnt explain to me the other things (and it wasnt the tax because he told me that was additional on top of the $3,000). I have never been made to feel so small and humiliated. I loved the car so much I even offered to pay for the whole thing out right in cash and he told me that that wasnt worth it for me. Please, especially if you are a woman trying to go about this alone, DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP.
Unimpressed. We called and scheduled an appointment with whom I believe was a Camelia. We wanted to confirm that a specific car was available to test drive, to which they assured us it was. While entering the building a different saleswomen approached us, and it basically seemed like she stole the sale from the original person assigned. While she checked inventory she kept pushing the top of the line model as well as letting us know there were no vehicles to test drive. We stated that we only came down to test drive the vehicle to see if we would like it, and if we did we would thereafter figure which model would be appropriate. She tried to convince us to come back, but by that point we were annoyed enough with the dishonesty and attempt to try to get us into the high end model only....even after telling her several times, the model wasnt important at this moment, we had to see if we liked the car first. I understand lack of stock at the moment, but not dishonesty.
Dealer markups on their vehicles! -1 star.I can almost forgive the markup due to the current market. However, on numerous occasions I told them not to install a front license plate bracket since the vehicle was going to be registered in state that didn’t need it. They damaged the bumper with 5 screw holes anyway. $900 fix at a body shop out of my pocket. -2 stars.Salesman was flexible accommodating the out of state sale which I greatly appreciate. +1 star.Very mixed feelings with this transaction. Great car.
I had my car checked I October as it has been burning oil and the check engine light had been on for about 5 or six months and my local mechanic could not figure it out. I advised that the car was burning an excessive amount of oil and my mechanic could not figure out why. Atlantic Hyundai told me it was the oil pan since there was no oil in the car and quoted over $900. I then had my local mechanic replace this in November. Still no change in the check engine light. Due to Covid related issues, I had to continuously delay my appointments and returned to the location today. I was quoted $175 for just the diagnostic. I then asked why am I being charged $175 now and I wasn’t charged in October and also received a misdiagnosis. The advisor the advised me that I wasn’t charged as Atlantic Hyundai changed my oil pan. I explained to him that that was false information. I paid another auto shop to complete the work in November. I left my car at the location for them to figure out what was going on and why this information was in their system. I was called when my car was “done” no diagnostic, no reason why this false information was in their system. And no resolution to their misdiagnosis from October.
Matt the salesman was very good but the pickup experience was very disappointing. It took almost 2 hours to get things organized like getting the plates and signing docs. In the past at other dealers, it would be a 30 minute process. Not bad people but they really need to work on their systems and processes.
I was very pleased at the service & courtesy of all at West Islip Atlantic HyundaiMy service gentleman was Hendrix He was knowledgeable Courteous, helped me with all my concerns & set up a car service to take me home. I couldn’t ask for better service with a smile & was offered & given a car wash also!!!! Very pleased with Atlantic & will continue my needs there! Thank you!
This Hyundai dealership has so many people working there joking around having fun.. walking in and out , back & forth and all a complete mess..Unorganized, waste so much time..They say one thing and promise and dont do..or do another..If you ask a salesman that is making money on your deal and hes at his desk texting who knows.. he wont lift a finger..If they great you at the door and give the persons name for.your appointment..he wont even deliver the message. He gets distracted lost back to joking around. We couldnt operate like this in my type of business.Owners making lots of money probably could care less what I have observed and writtenSERGE
All in all I am happy with Atlantic Hyundai. I purchased a 2022 Santa Fe in July and now a 2022 Elantra. My biggest complaint would be the way the cars are prepped for pick up. Neither of my cars were prepped good. Plastic bags still in vehicle, stickers everywhere. Windows not clean. My sales experience was good but I cannot say I am happy with the way the cars were prepped.
We came to check out a new Hyundai Tucson 1 week ago all the way from queens to this dealership. They had 1 car available but they didn’t give us a good deal for our trade in. But they called us after 3 days to set up an appointment for next week and they said they will settle on a good deal, and we spoke about the deal and it was good so we wanted to come in and get the car, but 1 day before we came, they sold it and did not even inform us about it. I had a very bad experience and this isnt the customer service I expected. We spoke to the manager and the representative’s name was Ashly. None of them notified us that the 1 particular car that we wanted was sold a day before. We drove an hour and 30 mins to get there just to listen that the car we wanted was sold. When we got here that’s when they told us that its sold to someone else.
Got a state inspection here and asked them to fix a headlight. Got my car back and the next time I drive, the headlight was still dead. I didn’t check it right away bc I assumed that it wouldn’t pass inspection if the headlight was dead. Yet somehow it passed… I set up an appointment and it took 2 hours to change the light, and to ‘apologize’ they gave me a coupon to use NEXT TIME I come in IF I rate them 5 stars. Why would I rate 5 stars when I had to spend hours of my life on something that legally shouldn’t have happened in the first place. If you are looking to pass an inspection but don’t want anything fixed (they will likely suggest every other optional/less important service as well), come here.
Always a breeze when I’m here at Atlantic for service on my Hyundai. John Grosso, my service advisor and now manager, is the best! He is attentive, gives excellent customer service and makes the whole experience super easy. There is sometimes a bit of a wait, but the chairs, televisions and coffee certainly help. Five stars ⭐️
Sue was a pleasure to work with! She explained everything honestly and was so helpful with any questions I had. Sue set me with Fawad in finance and made the process quick and easy once my car arrived to the dealership. They both truly made me feel comfortable every step of the way. Thank you!
We bought a car off the showroom floor a few weeks ago. Everyone was professional and courteous, however the process was excruciatingly drawn out. It felt as though everyone was dragging their feet with the process and rushing through working with us. The final walkthrough of the car was extremely rushed; there was no explanation of settings, bluetooth setup, or anything like that. Additionally, the car was not fully charged (~66%) or prepped prior to handing over the keys. There were unremoved stickers, residue from removed stickers, and plastic throughout the car.We came in knowing the exact car and out-the-door price (through truecar), yet we were there for nearly 6 hours. It would have taken even longer had we not kept badgering our sales person. I appreciated working with our sales person but cannot give a higher rating due to the aforementioned issues. To their credit, we were offered an opportunity to come back at a later date for a car wash and our sales person has remained available for questions.I suspect my experience may be somewhat of an outlier, but for me, this was a 2-star experience.
This was my first time using Atlantic Hyundai. I was beyond happy with the excellent service I received. My agent Mike Theodorakis is clearly a professional in all aspects of making this transition so smooth. He’s very patient and efficient to all of my needs. I would highly recommend Mike and Atlantic Hyundai if you want an easy transaction in buying or Leasing your vehicle. Thank you for everything ...,Claire
Genesis service is always excellent and never experience problems with staff. They’ve always showed professional courtesy and support when I need service. My service representative Ali Iram is an absolute credit to the Genesis Giant family at West Atlantic Genesis! The work is always to my satisfaction when completed. And, my Genesis g80 is an amazing automobile!
Looked up what I wanted using their online used inventory, and called ahead to make sure it was there. The sales rep Kim was very helpful and responsive, any questions she couldnt answer she made sure to get someone that could. Test drove the car at night then purchased it the next day, plates and registration include.
I left the 1 star review after receiving a text message asking me to rate my recent service done to my car on Saturday June 11, 2022. I dropped my vehicle off Friday night for an 8 am appointment on Saturday, I called and asked for an update on my vehicle around 2 pm and was told my service adviser would promptly call me back with an update. I waited until 5 pm before calling back, I was once again told no one is available to speak to me but if I was willing to leave a message they’ll ensure someone calls me back. Needless to say no one called me back. I tried calling on Sunday around 2pm again and for the third time now I was told no one is available to speak to me but if I leave a third message someone will response to me, once again I left a message. On Monday I called around 10am, now for the 4th time and asked to speak to a manager, the manager stated he will personally look into my vehicle and call me back in 10 minutes. Around 3pm I receive a call that my car is ready for pickup. When I picked up my vehicle I was simply given the receipt with no explanation of what was done to my vehicle or if there was any follow up needed. Upon arriving home I opened the hood of my vehicle and discovered the plastic covering that sits on top of the engine missing. From start to finish your dealership made getting the most basic of information impossible to obtain, if any other service to my vehicle is required I will undoubtably take my business else where.
Jonathan in the services department was amazing, respectful, understanding and caring when dealing with an issue I had regarding a replacement key. He completely turned around my entire experience today with accommodating me on services needed for my car and getting me an extra key at no additional costs after our month 6 warranty expired two days ago. I would’ve given this establishment 5 stars if Jonathan was the only person I dealt with rather then having to interact with the Sales person who sold me my car named Andrew Maione, who was of zero help and refused to even see what he could do to help me out with getting a replacement key and honoring my warranty that expired only TWO DAYS AGO. His response was “well I told you that you had 6 months and you didn’t contact us or get the replacement key in those 6 months”. First of all, The car was sold to me with only one key and I was told I could come back whenever was convenient for me to get the replacement key made. Second, he has no idea what has gone on In My life in the past 6 months to even question why I didn’t come in the time frame. ARROGANT! After my husband spoke to Jonathan he was able to care of the situation and was able to do more then Andrew apparently is capable of. Andrew is probably the most arrogant sales person I have ever encountered and I have owned many cars before ranging from luxury vehicles to more practical cars like the one I own now. He was soooo nice to me and my husband during the time of us purchasing the vehicle and then when we needed his help after, he had already washed his hands with us because the sale was done. His manager Was no help either and just as arrogant. I’m a General Manager myself of a multi million dollar store In a multi billion dollar company, and I pride myself and my employees on the level of customer care we deliver to our customers. Most of the people at Atlantic need a lesson from Jonathan Roque in the service department or from me and my employees on how to care and appreciate your customers and value their business. One things for sure if that someone like Andrew would never last a day working for me.
The service team was very attentive to my concerns and went over and above in their efforts to fix the problems with my vehicle. Special thanks to service reps. Erica and Dave who both were extremely responsive in making certain I was satisfied with the entire service experience.
Third time in for service at this location. The service coordinators and staff are all very friendly, professional and courteous. The waiting area is clean and comfortable. All work performed as expected with minimal wait time. The complimentary car wash is a plus. Highly recommend this location.
Customer service was great, kind and informative. Was a little late when I recd. The call that I can pick up my car. They closed at 530 got the call at 5.Rushed to get there and no clustered service people were there at 520.Went to cashier desk and my paper work was there. It was a good experience for the most part..
I did not have a very good experience. Despite the fact that I clearly told the service writer that I had a fluid leak under the car right in back of the front passenger side wheel well, my car was deemed to have no problem without even pulling off the front passenger side tire to inspect the suspension components. The mechanic was nice enough to bring me down to the car and show me the undercarriage with no signs of leakage, but told me that the tire was not removed to do the inspection.. I am not satisfied that there is nothing wrong with the car because I saw the leak, cleaned it up, only to have it happen again the next time that I used the car. I did not imagine it.
Ive been bringing my Hyundai here for the last 2 years and in my experience the staff has been hands down, professional from the time you pull your vehicle in to the time you leave. Its a very busy place especially on a Saturday, but they get you in and out asap. The gentleman Jonathan who help me, hands down one of the best there.LD
I have purchased a few new cars in my day and I must say that the trip to Atlantic Genesis was what I was looking for. It was first Class All the way.Micheal Zeccardi was and is the Best. His attention towards the customer without a hard sell must be stated. I will suggest a visit to the Atlantic Hyundai dealership if you shopping new or usedI visited several dealerships and none compared the Atlantic or Micheal.I will be back.Thank you Micheal and the Atlantic Hyundai team.Note: I purchaseda 2021 G70.
We leased our 2020 Tucson at Atlantic. We have been taking our Tucson for all the service needs ever since. We have only had positive experiences from making the call to schedule an appointment to the actual service appointments. We have always had the same service advisor for every appointment. He is so professional and friendly and makes your morning!I’m updating this post and sorry to say it’s not a positive one. We brought our car in for an oil change today, it was good until we sat with the service writer and was informed that the complimentary oil changes were finished. I didn’t understand since when we signed for the car that we were told 3 years / 36,000 miles . It will be 2 years come July that we have the car and the car doesn’t even have 30,000 . After another service writer came over to help with the issue he allowed the oil change to go through. We appreciated that very much . We went into the dealer to discuss this and spoke to one of the guys who didn’t give his name . I explained the situation and he told me I was wrong but offered to take the car off our hands and put us in a new one??? Really??? He didn’t hear a word I said let alone cared. That is just plain wrong . We had purchased and leased cars from this particular dealer over the years and our kids did as well . Just sad how they didn’t want to help and just put you in a new car. SMH
I cannot over-state enough how amazing my experience was at this dealership. My salesman was RK, a man younger than myself who was incredibly informative about the special features on the cars I looked at. He kept in contact with me regarding my appointments and took me on a substantial test drive so that I could get a feel for the car. Most dealerships usually just have me putz around back roads. Not this time! RK is thorough, answers any questions asked, and is very friendly in a professional way. After spending some time with RK, it was time to move on to finance.I had the absolutely delightful pleasure of working with Bubba Jay; I have dealt with a LOT of finance people in my day when buying cars-- I have NEVER had such a fantastic experience with a finance person at a dealership. Bubba Jay was 10/10, he is transparent and honest and he did whatever he could to get me the best possible rate. He advised me on warrantee plans but was never pushy; he is shockingly good at reading people. He was polite but friendly; professional, but without the pressure or discomfort of a normal stiff finance office. He was pleasant and conversational, he told me stories about his service to our country as well as talking about his adorable little daughter and the rest of his family.Bubba Jay, RK, and Atlantic Hyundai turned an incredibly stressful, time sensitive car buying experience into a pleasant evening. RK even filled the gas tank of the car for me-- no dealership has ever done that for me.I got a great price, a great rate, a great car, a great atmosphere, a fantastic car salesman, and an absolute delight for a finance man. West Islip is about a 45 minute commute from my home, but I would go back to the dealership in a heartbeat for any of my future vehicle needs.Tl;dr, if youre looking for a car buying experience with the best people at the best dealership, check out Atlantic Hyundai. You wont be disappointed! Ask for RK and Bubba Jay!
Ive had 3 wheel alignments, because they couldnt get it right, and because of that they gave me a break on tires I ordered, waited 3 hours to put them on and when they brought the car around the wrong tires were on the car, had to wait another 2 hours. Then brought car just last week for a recall, when I returned home, air conditioning was blowing hot air, had to bring it back. Supposedly fixed it but its not what it used to be, I then called service 4 times in one day and not one person called me back, called the next day and I am still waiting for John Grosso or TIm to call me back, need this car fixed ASAP. Really considering bringing car to another dealer, Have had nothing but problems with Atlantic Service.
Atlantic Hyundai Service dept. is extremely professional . My Hyundai Elantra Gt started having problems and it was taken to one shop. Some parts were changed. Less than 24 hours later. I was stuck on the street. Towed it to another Hyundai dealer in Hempstead. Car was there a month. Nothing was done, was charged a diagnostic fee. AGAIN less than 24 hours after picking it up, I was stuck again. So I towed the car to my house. Parked it and decided to try one more time.Atlantic Hyundai’s customer Service dept is top notch! Within a day I got a phone call and was told the problem with my car. Within one week my car was fixed! I can’t say enough about the customer service I received and I think other dealers should get trained in West Islip! Jonathan my service advisor explain everything clearly to me. Although the repairs were expensive, he went above and beyond to get the extended warranty to cover some costs. Thank you for everything! Felt safe driving home!!
Went to dealership with appointment and truecar quote, trade in quote from Atlantic Hyundai and found vehicle with sales lady Sandra within 15 minutes. From there it took Over 5 hours and 2 days to close deal and we paid all cash. Total lack of communication at dealership between departments to get customers out with there vehicle and understanding there military incentive program.
Made an appointment over the phone. Ended up that it wouldnt work for me, so I stopped by on a saturday to see if I could be fit in. They could not. Completely understandable. Someone I spoke with told me they changed my appointment to the following monday, and that they would have a shuttle to take me home. I show up on a Monday at 7am, my appointment was not in the system. Not a deal breaker, they were able to accommodate me, but the shuttle would not be available for a few hours. Minor inconvenience, but I can find my own way home. No issue.I call at 445pm monday afternoon. I did not hear from anyone all day. I get put in hold because my service advisor was busy. Understandable. But no other staff member was able to tell me the status of my vehicle. Call disconnects. I call back and get the answering service. They are closed.Tuesday- My service advisor is off. Still no other staff member could quickly tell me the status of my vehicle. I ask for a call back. Day comes and goes, I never got one. I call sales to see if there is a single soul in there that can help me. There isnt, they connect me to the answering service, which I ask to please have someone call me in the morning.Wednesday- They dont call me. I have to call them. I ask to speak with a manager. I was told that they were busy, and I was asked if I would like to leave a message. At this point I am done leaving messages. Ill call back later. On the second call still too busy to talk to me. Okay, fine I will settle for the service advisor. He was very apologetic and said they were very busy monday and he was off on Tuesday, and that someone should have called me. Yes sir, someone should have. He said that the technicians did the best they could and to see how it works out, but the car was finished. I would imagine it was done Monday, but I cant be sure. I explain that my wife and I have very hectic schedules, and we would try to get there Thursday.Thursday- My wife gets there to pick up the car late, at or just after closing time. Someone was there! Lucky break. They couldnt find the paperwork and asked her if we were told it was done yet. Yes, we have. You have had it for 3 more days then you probably should have. But we finally get our car back.I generally have a lot of patience, and very rarely write negative reviews, but I feel that this was unacceptable. Also, I test drove the vehicle here, but ended up leasing it from another dealer. I understand what the market is like right now, but their first offer was so high I didnt even feel like trying to negotiate. Their competitor offered me the premium trim for the same price that this place was offering me the mid level model for. I thought I could just have the service done here, but maybe I cant do that either.
Ed Brightman was a great sales person. Enthusiastic, patient with great customer service. Even the finance manager was a pleasure to deal with. Theyre a large operation for a reason. Straight talkers. Flew up from San Antonio Texas to buy an Ioniq 5 from him. Great staff. Very patient (had some technical difficulties on my end).
Atlantic Hyundai in Islip is the worst card dealer that I’ve ever experienced, my car was covered with a full extended warranty. Instead of giving me a new transmission they replaced it with parts. Addition to that factor, one of their employees took my car over the New York State Thruway I received a ticket in the mail that was, From the NY state authority for a toll ticket in March when . In addition to that car my car was still being worked, so they said. It was an additional 904 miles on my car in one month. They have done nothing about it I’ve left several messages for Corporate about it and they are not responding to this, I went to the police they told me that this is a misdemeanor for unlawful use of a vehicle. Never should you buy a car or bring your other car that you may own to them because Lord knows what can happen next to somebody else’s car
I have purchased three vehicles from Atlantic Hyundai in West Islip, NY. It took me a while to understand that they robbed me into buying extended assurances they never came through on...like having a car to drive while their service technicians fix your car, That NEVER happens by the way, they have explained they simply dont have cats for that. I purchased a jeep from them, along with extended assurance packages, when it needed repair they claimed nothing was covered because it had to be brought to a jeep dealership. I recently have issues with an elantra I bought for my son in the NAVY. Ongoing issues were always passified and took months to get the car back with next to no communication from the service advisor John Grasso. I had to go there physically to get any answers or progress information. The Manager is no better, Tim, recently the car had a stall and oil issue, John told me the car will get a new engine. Several months later we get the car back and it has new parts ON the engine. Okay, drove it a month...the car stops running, the oil is orange and theres no coolant in the radiator or overflow. I have it towed to Atlantic Hyundai, left several messages for John or Tim to contact me...five days later still no call. I call to ask who the higher ups are because im going to escalate it this time. Then suddenly I get called back fro Justin and Jonathon. New people. I was informed, and they called me every step of the way...two weeks later the cat is ready. Jonathan says, pick it up my son goes there and the charge is $265 for labor, $25 for coolant, $25 for tax. It says on the paperwork that customer complaints of car overheating with little coolant. Apparently they just added coolant. I then called and reminded them that i never said the car overheated and that I said theyre was NO COOLANT AT ALL and the oil was bright orange. That they told me the orange oil was just currosion and they would check for leaks after they fix the coolant issue. I then requested Jonathon to change those false remarks snd put the correct ones on the account in case i need to sue them . If course he was very insulted, told me so, then changed the remarks to what i actually complained about. He said his integrity was in the line and i should give him a chance to speak his truth. And I do respect him for that because actually he did not create the problem that John Grasso and Tim Turnbull started. Now Im going to escalate this matter with corporate. I want the new engine and to stop being played by the service technicians at Atlantic Hyundai.
I have been shopping for a new Kona EV. I have been to three dealerships and this was by far the worst experience. On a phone call the day prior I was told that Atlantic Hyundai has a “price match” and that they are #1 and can beat any deal. So, I arrived with my best offer in hand from one of the two dealers I have been to previously. I sat down with Gary first who aggressively did his speech about how Atlantic Hyundai is the best and that I need to buy a car today. I tried explaining to him that I was just weighing my options and plan to buy one soon but not this day. He wasn’t having it. He picked up my offer and walked to one of his associates offices. He didn’t realize but I could see him in the reflection of the glass door impersonating and mocking me. Of course he denied it although it was obvious. After that his sales manager Lekwa came over to discuss the deal with me. When he came he actually didn’t know what kind of car I wanted or which car I would be trading in. Not only could they not beat the offer I had, it was 2,000$ higher and 1,500$ higher than what was listed on their website. They also use awkward compliments to try to flatter people into a deal. I can’t believe how poorly this experience went at Atlantic Hyundai.
Big company which doesn’t care about customers a lot. You are one of thousands. Don’t expect too much.Ed is a nice salesperson, friendly and helpful. But be super attentive if you using their financing. Read 100 times before signing! Especially if you deal with LENNY orlov!!! This guy is a real trickster, will try to include everything possible in your contract without saying a word about cost.Lekwa and Peter are good guys, but probably too busy to react fast on faults of their subordinates.Dealership is a dealership, always keep it in mind. Don’t trust to anyone;)
I dropped off my car to have my tire problems repaired, shortly after a received a call from Nicholas Monz my service technician, explaining what the problem was, and how he would fixed it. Than I received a call from John Grosso telling me my car was ready. The process was quick and easy. I would definitely use Atlantic Hyundai again..
BEWARE!! Financed a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.4L. Had it less than a year and it has a real bad oil consumption. I’m talking about 1 quart every 500 miles. The oil light comes on frequently. I bought a extended warranty as well and took it twice to get looked at ,the first time the said the timing belt cover was leaking and they put silicone and change the oil sensor and was charged a 200 deductible. The second time they replace a knock sensor and told me it has a oil consumption and was charged another 200 dollar deductible. They told me the vehicle needs to break down completely and the warranty will cover the motor. This just blows my mind. I’m currently in contact the Department of Motor Vehicles about this case. I also have a 2013 Hyundai Veloster with 88k with a blown transmission. They replaced that motor at 56k. It’s sad because I also had a 2009 Hyundai Elantra touring which my sister drives still. I also have my 2007 Hyundai entourage which I have parked as a backup if one of my cars breakdown. I only had Hyundai’s but now I am not going to ever buy a Hyundai ever again. I had huge confidence in buying a Hyundai but that diminished quickly with these past experiences. I always wanted a Santa Fe , I loved the style. It was my dream car but it became my nightmare.
BE AWARE !! Got scammed out of $3000. Make sure you read the lease agreement and if there are errors and they “correct” them that they are actually corrected and not moved around. They charged me for things on a lease that i could never use because i wasn’t buying a used car that needed any extras, it was a brand new lease. They haven’t refunded anything. The GM and sales manager refuses to talk to me. Will never do business with this dealer again
I got the 2022 Hyundai Elantra N. This car is absolutely amazing. Not going to lie the paperwork time was a little long, but my Salesman, Kevin Cruz Moreno, made that time fly by. Definitely will be telling my friends and family interested in a Hyundai to ask for Kevin at Atlantic Hyundai.
Got delivery of my Ioniq 5 in a matter of two days. The cynical side of me felt like I was ready to get taken advantage of every step of the way, but Atlantic Hyundai is staffed with friendly, honest, and ethical people. Both sides were able to be up front with each other and this sped up the process without a lot of back and forth and without any aggravation.Their inventory is huge and was worth the 20 mile trip to secure my first EV. Setup for all the tech stuff was a breeze, but YMMV if youre not too tech-savvy.Thanks to Kevin for showing me the in-and-outs of one of the best EVs out there right now, and for Bob in finance in being patient with me while I tried to crunch my own (bad) numbers. If I could knock anything, I think the coffee station could be a little tidier. As with any dealership, it would generally be wise to avoid the weekends if you can. Thanks to everyone at Atlantic Hyundai. Im one happy customer.
No doubt this is a challenging time for car seekers but I am sure glad I decided to work with Atlantic Hyundai to lease my new 2022 Hyundai Venue. The dealership is top shelf and my sales representative Mike Zeccardi is one of the best I have dealt with over the years. If you are shopping for a Hyundai, I recommend you give Atlantic Hyundai an opportunity. This dealership, under the leadership of Peter Zorzy, actually cares about the customer and this is such an important aspect of business that so many have lost sight of especially during these difficult times.Thank you Atlantic Hyundai - we love the Venue!
An account a day will post this a 1 star rating until something is done
Fantastic service from RK and his manager Abhi + Kim who helped finish off some paperwork at the end of the deal. RK was quick, very friendly, easy to communicate with, and had really good product knowledge of the vehicle and all its functions. I felt that the vehicle could have definitely been prepped a little better before I drove it home because there was still a bunch of plastic wrappers on the interior but thats on the prep guys and has nothing to do with the sales and great customer service I received from the business team in the showroom. I would definitely recommend RK and Atlantic Hyundai.
A 4 hour wait for an oil change and inspection. You cant be serious. Ive had 4 cars with this place. The last one, they did the old bait and switch. Showed them the car I wanted, drove home with a different one with less options. Needless to say when this lease is up I will go to Subaru or Ford or anything but Hyundai. The service department has changed a lot. No more personal service, your just a number now.
Dropped car off 7am. That car would be ready at 9am. At 930 I looked in the parking lot and saw my car and thought it was done. Went to your host and he said Ill check. Looked in the parking lot and saw my car was gone. Realized they just took it to start work. Yikes. 15 minutes later, your host tells me there was a backup. I had the 1st appointment so how could that be? He told me 10 more minutes. I got the car at 1040. 3 and half hrs . Really disappointed.
An Amazing car dealership, best one I been to in my life. I was tAken care of by Andrew Maione and Lenny from financing, and let me tell you that they are the best in the buisness. They gave me exactly what I wanted. A brand new car when every other place said I couldn’t get a new car. Thank you Atlantic Hyundai 😃
7k Dealer markup on a 39k Tucson hybrid. Shameful. Saleswoman hung up on me after I called her out on it. Shameful. Avoid this ripoff dealer. lol at the dealer reply. I literally contacted 30 dealers. About half were charging a 2-3k market adjustment and half 0 adjustment. Dont be afraid to shop out of state and get your car shipped. 7k adjustment? Might as well get a better car at MSRP. This guys will be begging you to buy their cars once the chip shortage ends, just like before. Ultimately speak to your state rep. We need direct sales to consumers from the manufacture. Dealers are making cars way more expensive than they need to be.
The best place to buy your Hyundai! Atlantic Hyundai had sufficient inventory to provide my wife and I different choices to fit our needs. Ed Brightman (Sale Rep) was very attentive to us and was knowledgeable on all vehicles. It was a pleasant experience. The senior sales manager Lekwa Nnate was awesome since he gave my sales rep the thumbs up. We came out with a fabulous deal on a 2022 Palisade SEL AWD. Thanks Atlantic Hyundai…. We will definitely be back!
Not the worst but not the best. However they pulled up the non performance manual version of the car I wanted to test drive when I was extremely specific when setting up the test drive. The salesman didn’t even sit down and talk any sort of numbers with me, just mentioned he won’t be able to give me exact bc I didn’t want a hard inquiry without knowing anything about the cars potential price they were selling it for.He sent me to the finance guy that just spit out numbers without ever saying the price of the car until we asked. What was confusing was where they came up with the pricing, being that through the time I’d be paying for the car there was $15,000 unaccounted for.. the car was $37,000 and I’d be paying $52,000. INCREDIBLY terrible interest rates- They didn’t even TRY or ATTEMPT to work with me on price and I was a Hyundai to begin with wanting to trade in.
RK and Shake were amazing at Atlantic Hyundai. They worked with me to get me the best deal on my 1st car since 2007. They were friendly, attentive to detail and made me feel like they were working with me on every detail to make sure I got the best deal and the car I wanted. Highly recommended if youre looking to buy a new Hyundai.
Service department is bad, they don’t stand behind the work they do, blame all on corporate. Little did they know, I’m looking at new car for myself, I’m looking for a car for my daughter for graduation this June and my parents are looking for a new suv. Guess who’s just lost 3 sales.
My mother has been trying to get her car repaired (painted) since April 2021. Her case was approved by Hyundai Corporation of America in October 2021. She was told by Atlantic Hyundai (in October) if she needed a loaner car they would contact her when one became available in order to set up the appointment. As of this date (2-1/2 months later), they have finally contacted regarding the appointment & loaner car, after months of not taking phone calls and wont return any phone calls. But now they are refusing to give a loaner car even though the car being repainted would take 2 weeks. Meanwhile the paint is randomly coming off the car more every day. Ive bought 2 cars from this dealership and went there there to lease a car from them also and this is response We get for being a loyal customers. An account a day will post this a 1 star rating until they agree to provide a loaner car and I will spread this throughout Long Island
I brought my car in for service and my service advisor was Chris he was terrible. I ordered a new key fob they never fixed it I was charged 396 dollars for it . They had my car for nearly 3 weeks. They actually told me that they lost my car. I had to go back today to get the key fob fixed if it werent for John Grasso Id stop going there. John is the only reason I have given 4 stars.
I wish I can give below 1 star. They are providing below the market value for the trade in also they are charging you 17.5% OVER THE STICKER PRICE. Such a waste of time. Never going there again. SELL YOUR CAR ON VROOM OR SOMEWHERE. Such a bad experience. Person name is mike is telling me over the text that they lies to bring the customer to the door. 😡😡
Bought 3 cars in the last 8 years from here. Unfortunately the paint on the last one started to chip and peel in BIG spots on the hood and roof. Apparently after doing research this is a known issue with newer hyundai cars. We bought it certified preowned and only had it 1.5 years and they refuse to fix it. Will NEVER buy a hyundai ever again.
Excellent exp3. Friendly staff. Valet was waiting to take my car. The service rep was waiting for me by th he tine I wslked from the valet to the office. The waiting area was superb. Very nice and comfortable leather chairs, free wifi, big screen tvs, coffe bar and snack machines. They washed my car and i was out of there in less than an hour for my scheduled maintenance.
They are cold-calling customers and pretending to be a different dealer, then lying to the customer that the other dealer is now charging markup. This is an elaborate attempt to disuade customers from buying cars from other dealers without markup. This feels borderline illegal and should probably be an FTC report.
UPDATE: I was contacted by SANDRA (manager? She was never specific) at this dealership regarding my paint defect and the $700 charge (only after I left my google review-go figure). Sandra was very professional at first but then NEVER responded to my follow-up calls and/or voicemails with an update regarding the defect. At one point, I was able to catch her via phone and she said she would “call me right back”...it’s now three weeks later. I’ll reach out to the attorney general at this point considering This dealership has no customer service skills and are very good at dodging people. Again, steer clear of this dealership and Hyundai leases.Pictures below- a newly leased car.
Ed Brightman, our salesman was professional, courteous and informative…We both felt like we were buying a car not being sold one…the entire staff at Atlantic Hyundai were professional and friendly and the car buying process was streamlined and efficient.Happy customers who will absolutely return and recommend to others
Only gave 2 stars because 2 salesmen were friendly. Otherwise Id give 1 . No issues getting the car ordered speedily ( to make the sale) but once we got there to pick up, it was 2.5 hours to get the car. Another person in the waiting room had already been there two and a half hours as well.We almost walked out. They caught us as we were headed to the door.
We were helped right away, with a fairly new salesman, young, not too sure of the whole process (Aron a/k/a Soul) .Went for a test drive for the car we saw in our price range, by the time we got back and started going over price, the car was apparently sold. (SMH)Had us look at another that was kinda close to our price range, but of course over. Test drove that and went over price again, with the Manager this time. (gentlemen with a nice accent. We agreed on a set price, confirmed that thats the bottom line, besides title, tax. YES but we cant have you take the car right now, theres no paperwork for it yet. OK, no problem, call us when the paperwork comes in. Left the dealership, with nothing but a $500 deposit receipt to hold the car for the price we agreed. A week later we got a text from the salesman, paperwork coming in. Ok well be in on Friday like the suggested. Then another text the paperwork isnt here come Saturday Ok no problem, another text the paperwork arrived come Friday cause we cant hold the car. HUH, we gave you a deposit to hold the car, YOU didnt have the paperwork. Ok anywho, went in Friday, sat first with the salesman, he says we will do insurance first. He had no clue how to add a car to our insurance even with me giving him the account number, ect. Couldnt get in touch with my broker so we called an 800#. Transfers us back to broker, so a bit of an issued but I myself called another number, got through and added the car on myself. Salesman sat on his phone watching TicToc videos while I scrambled to do it. Then went to sit with finance because of course the price we agreed on you have to finance. we sign all paperwork, look at the last page which was the contract, NO WHERE NEAR THE PRICE WE AGREED ON THE WEEK PRIOR. Called in the salesman, no clue where the original contarct was, called in the manager, who was not happy. Couldnt find originial paper work either, but remembered with a bit of reminding of what we agreed on. Needless to say, nobody was happy, the salesman was getting yelled at in front of everyone, the finance guy had to redo all paperwork, which took FOREVER. To pick up this car was a fiasco, we were in there till closing on a Friday nite, about 3 1/2 hours. The womens bathroom was out of order, overflowed, there was no coffee in the lounge, no snacks like other dealerships offer. This was the 3rd car we purchased from an Atlantic and the worst experience. Luckily the Manager most likely wanted to get this sale so did accomodate us but we were not happy with the new or lazy salesman and were not happy with going back into the finance person because by 8pm he was not a happy friendly camper like earlier.
Beware potential car buyers!!! Had a very very bad experience at this dealership when I asked for a quote for IONIQ5. Unreasonable markup BUT on top they were forcing me to take financing with them at 5-6%. A consumer can not be forced to take financing at high rates and when I asked about what if I prepay, I was told I can’t for 6 months. Also, i was told i can only put $10k MAX down, meaning they will rip you off on the interest. I will stop at nothing to stop this abuse. I am al ready planning to file with both NY senators about this abusive financial behavior and if it is not legal either action should be taken against these dealers or laws should be passed to protect consumers. Also, i am planning to reach out to Hyundai management and see if this is something allowed. If it is, I swear i will never step into a Hyundai dealership EVER.
I would never use this place. They are dishonest. I wasted $37 for inspection. I bought my genesis, and the guy told me Tire is worn out, which was changed by Genesis Dec 2021. I said, shouldnt that be under warranty since it is only 60 days. No explanation. There were other lies which I caught him in. FYI, once he found out I had tire warranty from Genesis, suddenly I need other repair.Last threat was we will remove the inspection sticker. Avoid this place.
I have been searching for a new car for a few weeks, and it has been extremely difficult to secure one in the current market. I was fortunate enough to find Atlantic Hyundai in my search for something affordable and reliable during this trying endeavor. I was aided by Aliea Malhotra who was extremely understanding and helpful throughout the entire process. I was attempting to make the switch over to a plug-in hybrid type or electric vehicle and was not entirely knowledgeable about all various differences from a gas engine.Aliea was patient with me, she was extremely knowledgeable in helping to enlighten me regarding gas vs. hybrid vs. plug-in hybrids vs. all electric vehicles and my transition, and she did not pressure me in the slightest -- even when I was hesitant in making my purchase. I traveled about two hours away from New Jersey to Long Island, and Aliea made the experience so much more palpable.Im extremely grateful for Atlantic Hyundai, Aliea, and every other individual who I worked with during the purchasing process. I came up to Long Island on somewhat of a whim, not yet certain whether I would continue my so-far fruitless search for a new vehicle, and left in a essentially new Hyundai Ioniq Plug-In Hybrid, and I couldnt be happier with my decision.Thank you for all your help, and Ill be sure to tell anyone I know of in the market to make sure to stop by for any advice on their search.
If I can rate my experience more than 5 stars, I would. I’ve dealt with other car salesman (from different dealerships) in the past and I can’t say I was too pleased. John L, on the other hand, was fantastic. He was professional, kind, respectful, funny, honest, friendly, and so much more, not to mention extremely patient with me and all my questions. He really tried/tries to change the culture of the car business. He made me feel like he cared and wanted me to walk away with the perfect car for me (and with his help I did). He wasn’t one of those pushy salesman, but rather an honest man, and I am happy I got him as a salesman and am pleased with my new car. I definitely recommend coming to Atlantic Hyundai if you are searching for a new car. The whole process was quick and easy and with such high quality service. I’m thankful for the whole team, 10/10!
Worst experience ever! Never have I ever been treated(by management no less) so badly! After threatening them with my lawyer I had them go over all the scratches and the way the front ground effect looked(serious scratches)! Long story short…my car still looks the same as when I brought it back!! I can’t even believe that this is how you do business, by not taking care of the customer! I went in there with good intentions and you sold me the car and could care less what issues I had when I walked out the door! I will never do business with this company again and I will make sure to go on public media and warn people about doing business with you! I have the names of all the managers! I will definitely make it known how you treat your customers…unprofessional and uncaring! No stars!! Only 1 start because it won’t let me post no starts?
I was working with Justin midway through my car’s repairs. Up Until then, I had not received any updates and it seem like my repairs were taking way longer than they should have. Once Justin took over my account, he was instrumental in assisting to expedite and closed the loop on my account. It Was a relief to Be able to work with someone who kept me informed and in the end brought me a resolution. I am very grateful for that.
Justin was very helpful. He was polite and courteous. He told me he had the service department reboot my computer for the issue I am having with the screen turning black while driving. He said if it continues to call him and he will have me bring back the car for further inspection into the problem. Thanks Justin!
Very easy process. Salesman, John Markel, gave me a good deal without all the annoying hassle. He is personable, honest, and treated me like family. I leased my last Hyundai with him and when my lease is done I will absolutely find myself at his desk again. The rest of the process went as expected with John doing all the leg work before I came in. He is certainly an asset to the organization.
Brought my car in because of an engine noise. Took 4 months but got it back running perfectly. The people were all very nice and courteous. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I had very hard time getting information about the Hyundai Corp approval to replace my engine block and heard nothing about shipping or status until I was called and said I could pickup my car that afternoon. Never received any return calls when I left messages. As I said everyone very nice but they need better communication. A plus was after a couple of months i was given a very nice rental car as they called it. I call it a loaner. If there was better communication I would have given a fifth star.
Place is too busy for personal attention.Sandra R. gave me lots of attention when I first walked in and she helped me find the vehicle I came there for. She quoted me a price and then we agreed on a price. I made an appointment to finalize the deal and waited over 3 hours. When I went to sign everything, I realized that they were over-charging me by $3,000! Although they corrected the issue, Sandra was no help and pretty much ghosted me after the initial visit. I had a couple of issues with the vehicle that she promised to correct but never did. I had to come back another day for paperwork to be done on correct price for vehicle. This place is too high volume for me and check your final price and receipt if you do purchase here.
I had to come back and forth to this dealership 4 times due to miscommunications and ineptitude of the staff. Communication was horrible, at no point did I feel like I had any idea what was going on. Other salespeople would interject and make comments that their clients are interested in the vehicle and that it’s okay if I don’t buy it. Very rude and disrespectful. When I wanted to inquire further about the financing, one of them asked me if I wanted the car for free. I knew car dealerships were rough going in to this, but to have this be my first experience of buying a vehicle makes me never want to go back to one.
The service I experienced at Atlantic Hyundai was the worst I have come across. I originally took my car in on a Tuesday and at about 4:00PM they called and told me how much the parts would be. I asked if I could call back and the rep said yes, he was there until 5:30. I call back twice and leave a message before 5:30 and no call back. The next day I called about five times and left multiple messages with no answer. I go there in person to find out what is going on with my car. They tell me the rep I dealt with is no longer with the company so I sit with another rep. He tells me that because they need to order the parts and Christmas I should take my car home and bring it back the following Tuesday and a rep will call me. Tuesday comes and no one calls I call numerous times and leave messages and no one calls back. Wednesday I speak to a rep who, with an attitude, informs me that there have been no parts ordered for my car and if I want to set up an service appointment I can. I inform her that I want to speak to a manager , she tells me Mike will call me back (he never calls). I go there in person and see the rep who ordered my parts the week before. He doesnt remember me but makes a call and magically my parts will be there tomorrow. He asks if I am cool with leaving my car there for a couple of days (we are going on over a week at this point). He says I will have the car latest Monday and that he will call me. He doesnt call so I end up having to call again, after about the fifth time he tells me the car is still not ready and that it may be ready tomorrow. Now we are on Tuesday, I miss two calls back to back from them with no message. I call back another five times before my rep answers and says the car is ready. I am not sure what is going on at this place but the service was extremely poor this was my first and last time taking it to this service center. My rep was Imran Ali.
I highly recommend seeing Brandon over at Atlantic Hyundai. He made purchasing a new car seamless from the trade in negotiating and overall process. Jay our Finance manager was amazing. Prior to going to Atlantic we went to Advantage Hyundai and had to walk out as the salesman was not knowledgeable about the car we were purchasing. Brandon answered all our questions very knowledgeable about the car.
Chris was very nice in helping me and not laughing too much when he told me what the problem noise was with my brakes. I also want to thank the Hyundai mechanic who paid for my coffee at Dunkin Donuts. He left before the man behind the counter told me. That was very kind and sweet.
I am not a fan of bringing my car to the dealership because it is usually overly expensive and they try to talk you into having things fixed that you did not ask for. Justin my service person was awesome! I ran through the list of what I wanted done so, he even went and checked on an electrical thing that I thought was a problem. Turned out it was just my light bulbs and not being an electrical system. In my family, we have bought about seven cars from there over the years. They are awesome! The only thing I dislike is that they wont do a trade in for the exact same payment... Which is 0! 😂
Our sales person couldn’t have been kinder and answered all our questions. Kimberly is someone I would use over and over again. For her I give 5 stars. However the overall experience only 3. The amount of time it takes to purchase a car is mind blowing. My appointment was at 10:15 and we left the dealership at 4:15. We had no problems with our information so the fact that it took 6 hours is crazy. Something needs to be done to speed up the process.
Just drove home in my new car from Atlantic Hyundai. Had a great experience with Andrew Maione. After several bad attempts at other Hyundai dealerships where I was promised one price and then given a completely different one when I arrived, often traveling from far distances to get there, buying at Atlantic Hyundai was easy in comparison. Andrew called me and gave me an honest price, was very open in his communication, and friendly on top of everything. Thank you to Andrew for helping me get the car I wanted and making it a simple purchase.
Always good pricing from Atlantic, but client experience is not the best. This was my third car I bought from them and they had no idea, no thanks for being a repeat customer. Time to wait for financing and plates was almost 3 hours. Finance guy tried to sell me warranty package even though car has 10 year, 100k warranty. Original finance rate was 5.9, when I said that was too high, they magically lowered to 4.9%. Finally get things wrapped up and salesman takes me to the car, ready to leave and I realize there is only 1 key. Tells me it may only come with one key. Goes inside and finds the 2nd key. Came with new floor mats- in the trunk. Would be nice touch if the put them in place. Would be nice touch if manager came by at end and thanked me for buying
I purchased a 2022 Genesis G70 at this dealership on 11/13/2021, the overall experience was good with Hilton (sales person) but buyer beware with the additional $4,000 upcharge that Fawad (finance manager) presents (at the last minute) as a benefit to the purchaser. I really wanted the car, but I would not buy another vehicle from here or recommend anyone else do so!
Franswa Ligon was absolutely magnificent. During these difficult times of buying a car, he gave us a great price and kept his word. I have bought at least 10 cars in my life and this was by far the easiest of them all. He also knows the technology inside the car like the back of his hand. I would highly recommend him and will be coming back for my next vehicle. Thank you Franswa.
The most Dishonest dealer in the nation.I was told deposit is $500, they charged $2000I was told approved for 4.9% , they wanted to charge 11.2% interest rate and added 2950 for warranty which I never asked for.I was told truck was ready to go - drive 8 hours to buy , waited 4+ hours and they still had the truck in their shop - who knows what game they like to playSales lady of the year ? Be careful with a person that does not look at you when speaking to you .
Purchasing experience was absolutely horrible. Worked with Brandon. He got aggressive when we wanted to leave the first time and think about the purchase. When we returned to buy the car he quoted us a price and then talked to his desk and came back with a higher price. After over an hour of waiting, his multiple trips to discuss the price with the desk being refused meeting the new sales manager, being given wrong advice over adding a tow hitch, and not being offered even some water they finally came back with an offer of $3000 trade in value for a car that is fairly valued at $8000. When we tried to leave he hesitated giving us back our key to our own car. Also heard the sales people discussing and making fun of customers after they had left.
I had a great experience at Atlantic Hyundai car service yesterday. Jonathan was professional and courteous. He explained all the services required to keep my car running. Jonathan was able to help me get the financial help to get the services my car needed . Thank you JONATHAN ROQUE and the Atlantic Hyundai Dealership for your GREAT services
Not Quite Bait & Switch but...We talked to an Atlantic Hyundai sales rep, made an appointment, and drove two hours to test drive a car that we knew we would get (make, model, color, features.) We had already figured out the leasing terms based on the dealers website financial calculator, so when Mike Z, our sales rep, presented us with a leasing plan with nearly twice the monthly payment wed expected, we were more than a little surprised. When we asked why the amount was so much higher, he explained there was a SURCHARGE on the hybrid we wanted. A FIVE THOUSAND DOLLAR surcharge! (He presented it as a $3,500 surcharge but the $1,500 rebate was absorbed in the transaction and he agreed, when pressed, that this was indeed a $5,000 premium.) This increase, he explained, was done because the car was in high demand and everyone is doing it. We know everyone isnt doing it, because wed already come close to signing contracts for the Hyundai hybrid WITH NO SURCHARGE at two other dealers (but decided we wanted different specs so kept looking.) Weve been Hyundai drivers for dozens of years. But no more. You want to be gougers and up the price of a car when its in high demand (this dealer had several hybrids on the lot), thats your business. But when you withhold information and cost a good-faith buyer his time and money, you cross an ethical line. Buyer beware.
I went for a routine oil change , upon arrival I was informed that my car had two active recalls. which was an inconvenience to me because had I known that prior to my appointment I at least would of been aware I would be there longer than usual. After leaving I realized my check engine light was on and one of the caps that goes under the hood was under my windshield wiper. Which boggled my mind because my car is still fairly brand new it’s almost 3years old. My check engine light was not on until the service was provided so now I’m wonder what was done to cause that light to come especially considering there was no regard that one of the caps wasn’t in it rightful place
This is my 4 th Purchase at Atlantic Hyundai. John was so helpful in assisting with my requests. This was the smoothest, quickest car sale I’ve ever made. Drove in with a 2018 Elantra and drove out with a 2022 Elantra SEL. Very pleased. I highly recommend Atlantic Hyundai. Ask for John😊 Thank you!
Buyer beware! If youre car is coming off a lease Do not waste your time by going there. They are GREEDY!! They wanted to give me no equity for my 2019 Hyundai Sonata Limited with low miles towards a new lease. And on top wanted 4000.00 down for a new lease. Go to Hyundai 112 and see the difference in ownership.
Generally good service. Brought my vehicle in for a recall service, but apparently they didn’t have the parts, so I now have to wait while they order them. So why did I bring it in? They knew what the recall was for. No charge, but a bit of an inconvenience. Also, after I left the service area- I realized that there were black foot marks on the inside rail/floor of the drivers side. I went back and had them clean it. The service representative was very nice.
John Marcada was an extreme help to me with my vehicle purchase. Not only was he honest and nice, but he made me understand everything about the car. This place is great and I would not purchase a vehicle from any other lots!! Because of John Hyundai will have my business for life
I have to say by far my advisor Jonathan Roque is the most kindest honest person here at Atlantic Hyundai. He is very knowledgeable and truthful when it comes to your cars needs. I feel very safe giving my car to this dealership knowing he is here. He deserves more than 5 stars. Jonathan you rock please keep up the great work.
My experience at Hyundai service during my recent visit was great. Jonathan was very nice and allowed me to bring my car in without having to wait another week. I was able to get what I needed done to my tire and additional service. Appreciated the the discounts too. Thank you.
We want to say we had a very positive experience at Atlantic Hyundai with our purchase of the Hyundai Tucson. Our Salesmen John Londono provided customer friendly service. He was knowledgeable, informative and provided good advice. Most of all at no time did we feel pushed into our purchase.
The service manager did not contact me for two 1/2 hours to let me know that their outsourced body shop vendor could not fix dent in passenger door. I had leased the vehicle days before. My vehicle was taken in about an hour after I got there. I saw them park it in the back and waited. Figured repairs were done. Nothing. I would have waited longer if I did not go into the service area and ask when they were going to let me know they were done with my vehicle..Waste of a total of four hours because of incompetence and no communication from Tim the service manager. For four hours, nothing was done except a five minute recall fix. So sorry I leased from this place too. I am now responsible for a ding on passenger door that I did not see at delivery and the dealer told me they can’t fix.Advantage Hyundai service and sales were much more courteous and trustworthy. They are 20 minutes away from me (compared to five minutes at Atlantic) but their communication skills were elite compared to Atlantic.
Absolutely the worst case buying experience I ever encountered. Be prepared to spend a full day waiting for your paperwork to be completed and your car delivered. Since your car will not be prepped, your will spend the next two days peeling plastic off the car. Lastly, be prepared to spend some time reading the owners manual. They will simply hand you the keys, wish you luck and send you on your way. This is the short version. You dont want to hear the long version.
Very curious. Only one problem. Why do dealerships charge so much money for repairs. I came in for a recall. They looked over car and said I needed back brakes rotor and brake flush I said how much they said 895.00 I couldnt stop laughing. On my way home stopped at my mechanic with parts and labor 100 dollars my rotors were fine. Rip off if you are not smart.
Took my car in on October 23rd 2021 for a simple oil change and tire rotation, I was told everything was finished, looking at the car I noticed the tires were not rotated. The paperwork says tires were rotated. I spoke to the manager he sent it downstairs to have the tires rotated. When I got home I looked under the car two screws are missing from the plate which they removed to change the oil. This is sloppy work from a careless mechanic.UPDATE -------- Went in on 11/29 for my first inspection on the car (1 yr old) the paperwork says they removed the front left and front right tire.My camera was running the entire time, tires were never removed car was not put on a lift, the hood was never opened. Video does NOT LIE!SHAME SHAME SHAME! Next time it will be reported to DOT this way I will have two videos!
THIS IS THE WORSE PLACE TO BUY A CAR FROM.Let me get into details.Sandra R, gave me a lot of attention when I first walked in and she helped me find the vehicle I came there for. Sandra was no help after and pretty much ghosted me after the initial visit. I had a couple of issues with the vehicle that they promised to correct but never did. I live in Connecticut- almost a 2 hour drive from the dealership. I called and spoke with the financial persons Fawad explains to him the issue and he stated “well there’s nothing we can do, you can trade the car in”. The nerve of him. I then went through Tim and John G at the service department who stated they would pick up the car and fix the problem. They had my car for over 2 weeks with NO communication. I continued to email and call with no help. Finally I received an email stating they were working on it and it would be ready soon. Picked up the car and my husband looked at it before we left, it “seemed” okay. They stated they changed a few things and it was fixed. Less than 48 hours laster the same issue started again. I emailed them and received an email back from Tim who PROMISED to call by the end of that same day. It’s 2 weeks later still no call. My husband who works on cars decided to look at the issue himself. The part the claim to fix was never replaced. It was an old dirty part so he replaced it himself. A week later the issue is still an issue. I have called and emails everyone with NO call back or respond. I have decided to contact a lawyer to help me with the NY Lemon Law. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. The service is horrible and they sell LEMONS 🍋. This place is too high volume for me and check your final price and receipt as they over charged me. My lawyer has already started the process and we will be taking this dealership to court!
This afternoon I went to Atlantic Hyundai to purchase a new Genesis GV70. This has to be the worst car buying experience I ever had. This is a great example of the type of dealer that gives car sales people a bad name. First I had an appointment, the sales person I had thought he was very slick using all these canned sales questions that most dealers have not used in 20 years, very pushy. I called up just 30 minutes prior to my appointment to make sure the model I wanted was there- he said 100%. Surprisingly, this car was sold right before I got there- in the mater of 30 min- really? I asked if I can see the car and of course I could not. Again, the full buying process in 30 min. Fact is, they said they had this one car to get me down there and than the bait and switch started. My advise to avoid this dealer at all costs.
I purchased my vehicle 7months ago, I had a bubble in the tire, 2 week apptment to look at it and determine if its under warrany. They said I missed it by 30 days and could not warranty. How sad is that? The tire bubbled within 6 months but I couldnt get it in, even if it was after warranty for 30 days..pretty sad saps they are!!!Purchasing tire from goodyearLets see how the next 2 years goes
Purchased a 2022 Hyundai Tucson from a salesman by the name of Q. He was very nice, respectful and educated when it comes to knowing all about the car and the features. He was very patient and even after leaving with the car he followed up to make sure everything was good, thank you Q i highly recommend him to be requested to help purchase your new vehicle.
Very efficient, courteous and knowledgeable.Always liked Atlantic Hyundai.Thats why I purchased my 2010 Accent there. (although I know labor is not cheap, maybe just maybe it could be a little less costly)To bad they dont give senior discounts. Still happy with the service
Q was absolutely a gentleman . From his greetings to his goodbye .He made me and my wife feel like family .He made sure we got the car my wife wanted and thangot us the best price that Long island had to offer .Atlantic Hyundai has a rising star on their hands.I will recommend anyone looking for a Hyundai to seeyou Q. Amazing Amazing Amazing .

2022-05-04Atlantic Hyundai was a great place to buy my 3rd Hyundai. My salesperson Ed was terrific. I felt no pressure from him to buy anything, however he made it easy for me to purchase a car. He was honest about my trade as well as the price of my car. He always answered any questions right away, and kept me in the loop about the delivery of my car. It was a bit of a drive for me to get there, my local dealership was not an option, I had a very bad experience with them. it was so worth the trip. Atlantic Hyundai and especially Ed made my car buying experience easy, and I LOVE my new car!!

2022-06-26Nobody “likes” shopping for cars and nobody likes car dealerships. The economy sucks and prices are through the roof. I happen to be lucky because I walked in with a true car military price and car prices are out of control. They honored the price and did right by us. No deal is “perfect” but it was as good a deal of what we’re gonna get for the car we wanted. Our sales rep Phil, really is a good dude. We didn’t have much of a bad experience anywhere in the dealership. The price, but again, not there fault. Jay the finance guy helped us out and even made the experience as pleasant as can be. But overall I would go buy from them again. Especially if the economy didn’t stink as bad as it does. We need another car and will be visiting them again this week. Thank you

2022-02-22I had a very good experience during my recent service visit at Atlantic Hyundai. The check-in process was very efficient, and the service advisor (Jonathan) was excellent. He is professional knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. He takes the time to listen to his customers, and communicates well with them regarding the service process from beginning to end. I chose to wait around during my service appointment. My car was vacuumed, serviced, and washed even faster than Jonathans original time estimate. I will definitely come back to Atlantic Hyundai for my next service appointment!

2022-01-17From start to finish the process of turning in my existing lease to purchasing the new vehicle was seamless and handled well. The wait time was also less than I have ever experienced to close the deal. The service provided was professional and courteous. I was treated with respect and all of my concerns were addressed. I would definitely return and recommend to my friends.

2022-02-18I had bought a Hyundai Elantra back in 2014 Atlantic Hyundai made it incredibly easy throughout the whole purchase so when it came time to buy a new Hyundai, I went with Atlantic again. This time with the new sonata n-line. The car is so much more than I expected. My sales rep Sandra made it even easier than the first time and Bob in finance was very helpful! I was in kind of a rush because of work and Sandra and Bob got the transaction done fast and easy. And since I had to go to work, Sandra dropped off my car at my job! Bob then came down to my job and went over everything with me after he was done for the day. I don’t know many companies with employees that would do that for a customer and Ive been in customer service for the past 22 years. Thank you very much Sandra and Bob for making so easy to choose Atlantic Hyundai!!

2022-01-23Justin was in charge of my car repair which was replacing the engine. He kept me updated on everything. It took a long time to get it approved through the warranty but that was not on the service center. Once it was approved and the engine arrived, my car was ready the next day, including some other maintenance that was needed. Justin made sure to apply discounts that were available to this maintenance which was very nice. I appreciated the rush in getting my car done as there was a long wait for a loaner.

2022-07-07I have a great purchase experience in this dealer. The salesman is very nice and truly care about their customers. They deliver the car to me within one week after the purchase, which is extremely fast. Their warranty is also among the best compare to other car brands. The service team is also effective.

2022-05-30Alex was greatHe took the time to go over everything and worked with me to ensure I could get the car I wanted at a payment I could afford. My family has purchased 2 other cars here and have never been disappointed. They do need more finance people on hand when they are busy to get the paperwork submitted quickly.

2022-04-08I had to bring my car in for a recall and unfortunately had to wait for it due to the distance from my house. Surprisingly the waiting room is real comfortable with free wifi. The employees are all a pleasure to deal with and the icing on the cake was that i was in and out within 1 hour. All the years i have ever owned cars I have had to stay at least 2-3 hours when having something done. This dealership is run extremely efficient, it was a pleasure and made me grateful to own one of their vehicles.
