Atlas New York in other cities:
Thank you Atlas for the best year in Manhattan I could have ever asked for! From the amazing views, amenities, and of course the above and beyond service we received from the doormen, porters, and all staff, I could not recommend this building more. We felt exactly like we were in a hotel. I was in distress when I had to move back to Long Island and I had to leave all of it! The indoor and outdoor terrace, the 360 roof deck, the gym, the concierge service; it was all beyond amazing. Comparable apartments in NoMad/Chelsea go for considerably higher rents. Its worth every dollar. Dont hesitate to move here- trust me!
My wife and I have had an excellent experience overall in our 2 years here. Atlas appears well-run, management has been responsive when we’ve needed them, and the doormen are great. The rents are very reasonable for what you get, presumably because a lot of people don’t want to live in midtown. We looked at similar buildings/units about 12 blocks south in Chelsea, for $1000/month more. Some points:- The views on the roof deck are SPECTACULAR. 360 degrees mostly unobstructed on the 47th floor and the Empire State Building is right in your face. Id pay hundreds a month for the roof deck alone. The downsides are that its closed for about 6 months of the year, and it closes early nightly (10 if I recall).- We’re happy with the unit itself. Our “F” line 1br unit is well laid out, lots of closets, no wasted space, plus an open kitchen with breakfast bar. The bathroom is much nicer than other similar buildings we’ve lived in.- The area is very polarizing, but for putting up with the craziness, you get extreme convenience. Virtually anything we need is a short walk away now that Whole Foods opened across from Bryant Park. It’s probably the best place in the city for subways: 123, BDFM, NQRW within ~3 blocks, plus 456 and ACE not too far away. Penn Station and Grand Central are both short walks, ~10 mins. Refinery hotel across the street is great to have.
While I dont live here (yet), wanted to share a great feedback for Olivia in the leasing office. In a few weeks of apartment searching (read: hunting) in NYC I never came across such kind, accommodating and professional leasing agent.I was on a business trip so Olivia offered to find time to FaceTime me and take me on a video tour to a unit that is under construction. She made an effort to show me a unit in the same line that is already done, the actual unit in construction (so I can see the actual view), and the amenities, and covered every question quickly and with a smile. If thats any indication to the level of service in this building - I cant wait to move in.
I have lived here for 4 years and I think its the best deal in Bryant Park area. Staff is very helpful and friendly (especially Tom). Residents are -for the most part - respectful of one another and amenities are great for the price. Theres a very capable gym for a nominal fee and 360 degree rooftop access is free for all residents.

2022-03-07Terrible building and management. Epitome of lowlife NYC landlords.Only 1 of 4 elevators in service at all times. Never disclosed _years_ long maintenance (still ongoing) at time of lease signing.Hyper predatory leases - expect 20-30% rent increases every year on your $15,000/mo apartment (discounted to $4,000/mo via 100 pages of legalese). And then $5,000/mo next year as they use this discounting mechanism to dodge rent price controls.Low quality finishes, cheap (and broken) flooring and appliances for a building marketed as luxury. Feels / lives like a poorly renovated 1980s building.Management office never answers emails - once they have your money zero customer service. This is the exact type of building / owner / management everyone should avoid.Front desk staff are great but you have to wonder why they would work for such a place.

2021-06-29Dont hesitate to move here! Ive been here for about a month now and it has been a great process. The apartment viewing/leasing process was great. Andres at the leasing office was fantastic and really went out of his way to accommodate me, which you dont see much in NYC leasing offices. The actual units are beautiful- great windows/light exposure, modern finishes, great kitchens and bathrooms. Rooftop is amazing, great views. The front desk and building service is also fantastic. Well managed and very kind/courteous. Service request was handled timely. No regrets here at the Atlas!

2020-06-27We have lived at the Atlas for more than a year now and it has been a phenomenal experience. The facilities are clean, the staff have been transparent and diligent since the COVID-19 crisis started, and overall you can tell that Atlas (and by extension, Gotham) have taken everyones safety and health very seriously. They clean frequently and the building residents have been respectful as well. The staff are extremely helpful, quick, and go above and beyond! They have a great policy that allows you to upgrade in the middle of your lease without penalty, so when we decided to move into a bigger place they made the process seamless. They were accommodating with the lease start date, since we had to travel back from visiting family out-of-state, despite having other interested renters. Its been a pleasure working with them! Dont hesitate to move in! Also, anything you need in the city is steps away.

2020-12-22Ive lived in Atlas for about 2 months now, and Im really happy here. Nothing beats the location in Midtown Manhattan right by Bryant Park, which is central to everything and is helpful to minimize cab rides. I signed a 1 year lease on a 1B1B, which came with new renovations, which are all really nice. Over time you will begin to notice the finer details of these renovations, like cabinets and toilet seat that dont slam shut, a big roomy kitchen sink, and a platform in shower to place all your bottles - among others. I opted for a corner room which gives me some floor to ceiling windows, although I dont have a great view but I really liked the floor to ceiling windows so much that I chose over units with better views but had a normal window layout. I estimate my unit is about 700 sqft and closet space will likely be tight for 2 people in a 1B1B, but should be plenty for 1 person. The rooftop is good but not great IMO. The biggest drawback is the elevator does not go directly to the rooftop, so you need to transfer at PH level and then walk up stairs. :( Furthermore, while the view from rooftop is great, the rooftop walls are a bit too high so it obstructs your view. Sitting down on a chair you cant see the city at all because the walls are so high. As far as other amenities, the gym, mini-library/study room, and lounge area are good enough and do the job, but nothing amazing. The staff has been friendly, serviceable, and responsive. Ive had no issues.PROS:- Central prime area in Midtown Manhattan, a few blocks from Bryant Park, Whole Foods, K-Town, Macys, subways, etc.- Many units come with new renovations- Corner units come with big long windows, including some floor to ceiling windows; all windows have fitted blinds- Friendly, serviceable staffCONS:- Limited closet space on 1B1B units- Rooftop is good, but not great- Heat/AC vents are very noisy

2017-09-18Have lived at The Atlas for 6 years before recently moving due to mi family expanding in size. The Atlas is not only a beautiful building with beautiful amenities and views. It is most of all a great community to live in.The team, comprised of handymen, porters and front-desk attendants, is truly the best Ive ever witnessed. They really take the concept of customer service to a higher level, to the extent that we often felt like we were living in a five-start hotel instead of a NYC rental building. Our experience was so great we now moved to another property from Gotham simply because we feel like we cant bear any other level of service/experience than the one weve been accustomed to.If you are looking for a great building with great great service, The Atlas is the right place.

2018-08-04After living in NY for more than 10 years, I recently moved to the Atlas. I’m very happy that I moved here. Service is beyond expectations, facilities are beautiful and spotless, the rooftop is amazing and with great atmosphere. All has been excellent - from the leasing office (Greg) to the fantastic and friendly front-desk people, handyman and cleaners.Atlas truly feels like a 5 star hotel!

2020-06-27Weve been on this building for a few years and recently switched to a different apartment. The Atlas/Gotham staff has been so incredibly helpful and responsive throughout our time here, and especially during our move. Moving in the midst of a pandemic wasnt easy, but they certainly made it as seamless as possible. Were so appreciative for their support and highly recommend this place to anyone looking to live in midtown.

2019-08-13Ive lived in a few buildings in NYC so far and this one was impressive. Beyond great apartments, amenities and location, the real difference is their team. Theyll do everything they can to make you feel right at home from the get-go.Not only the doormen (Tom, Byron...) and maintenance team (Kerry...), but also the management team (Olivia, Anthony, etc.). We had to break our lease, they allowed us to find a replacement and supported us through the process. Ill miss the Atlas!!

2022-05-01Beautiful experience & coolest place to be but I do not want to think about living in the city, too much chaos!
