They took my vehicle as soon as I arrived. They took 1 1/2 hours for an oil change & tire rotation. They reminded me that my inspection was due. So they did that also. I had to pay $97.00 which is much more than I have ever paid but they said the price of oil is going up.
This has been at least or 3-4th visit to this dealership for work. The last visit wasn’t so great but decided to give it another try. They did squeeze us in as our car would not start and we had it towed in. Again being told it may be a couple days as they are still short techs. Called us 2 days letter said it was the battery and we could pick it up. I dropped my husband off to go pay. Sign on door said open till 5:30 it was 5pm and my husband had to have someone find the tech person to get car. By this time I was almost home I get a call from my husband to come pick him up as car wouldn’t start. Again having to leave it a couple days.very dissappointed
Absolutely the worst Dealership ever from start to finish they told me they where going to have my new truck in two weeks took 8 months they screwed me on trade in. Mitch manger was very disrespectful to my wife after she is a CPA REALIZED THEY SCREWED US ON TRADE IN SAID THEY WERE GIVING US 38 THOUSAND ONLY GAVE US 36 THOUSAND THE GIRL WE BOUGHT TRUCK FROM LAST NAME CRAWFORD TOLD US TRUCK WAS BUILT WOULDNT BARLEY ANSWER PHONE Very unprofessional Dealership all the way around I have bought 4 new trucks never had such an experience with any other dealership service department also in shambles cant believe Chevrolet would let Dealerships be so bad avoid Auburn Chevrolet at all cost
Went in for a plug for a tire on a trail boss and came out with handful of scratches all around rim they worked on....sad to say there customer service lacked and didnt fix the problem but deny it. Take a walk around you literally wont see a scratch, that is until they worked on it.
Amazing on the service here...I am so impressed with how fast and professional these people are at Auburn chevy buick GMC. #Linda and #Vince My car runs better than when I bought it. I will be back and maybe bring my car here when Im ready to trade..thank you ALL so much..I appreciate you.
When I bought my GMC Acadia 3 years ago from Summit Chevrolet, I was very happy. The sales team when above and beyond. Fast forward to August of 2021. My car was run off the road on the thruway (caught on dash cam) and all 9 air bags deployed-totaling my car. As I went looking for a new car, it seemed right to return to Summit. Unfortunately, they had just been sold to the current dealership. Long story short, no one got back to me when they had new inventory coming in (although I had left a phone number and email). I understand that we are in a pandemic and new cars are hard to come by, but at least check in to see if Im still interested. Eventually I went elsewhere (and had to wait almost a month for that one to come in). The main issue is this-I purchased a GMC warranty on this car and was told that when I provided the dealership with my total loss certificate, my warranty funds would be returned to me(my car was only 3 years old, with 24,000 miles on it). I have sent the documentation, and received NO response to my emails or phone calls. Since none of the emails bounced back, I know they were received. I contacted my lender and they said they were still waiting for documentation! It is now almost December and still NO ONE has contacted me. When I chatted online with Sarah she said she would look into it-but the only response Ive received are text messages asking me if Im interested in purchasing a new vehicle!. I even sent an e-mail to the owner of the franchise and, again, no response. I have now spoken to Local Syracuse.com to see if they can help me get this resolved. I dont EVER plan on purchasing a car from them and have shared my issues with several friends, who were sad to hear this, as they purchased vehicles fro FOX Honda in the past, but that is now a part of this same group. I am not going away. I paid for that warranty and am entitled to receiving those funds back, since they were never used AND MY CAR WAS TOTALED!**Follow-Up- I recently received a correspondence regarding the warranty refund from Ally-who received this information from Auburn Chevrolet. Thank you for following through. Although I have not received the monies yet, it looks like I actually will. So sorry that the 6-8 week timeline, I was told it would take, took 5 months. Thank you to whomever followed through, I do appreciate it!
I I bought my truck about 6 weeks ago I had it for two then I was in service for four and a half weeks I got it back for 7 days now you guys have it for 7 days I have to call constantly to find out whats going on with it Ive made two payments and Ive had the truck for 2 weeks very unhappy managers dont return phone calls I feel like I was sold the lemon Id like to be putting in a request for a different vehicle
When I called to ask about a specific vehicle that I saw on the website to ask if its on the lot,Sarah answered my call and she was very sweet and pleasant. She gave me all the information that I needed. Randy was our sales representative and he is awesome. All of my questions were answered quickly. He gave me all the informations and explained to me everything that I wanted to know about the vehicle I liked. John did an amazing job in helping us with financing, he went above and beyond to get a rate that made us happy. Thank you all for everything youve done! In a short time we were able to leave the location with the vehicle we wanted. We love it!
BUYER BEWARE!! I was contacted by this dealership about equity in my current lease (obtained through Summit). I was provided a written quote on a new lease before going in to the dealership. When I did go to the dealership, they refused to honor the written quote! Furthermore, the sales manager, Bill, was exceedingly condescending and continually referred to online prices. He would not accept that I did not look at anything online because the dealership had initiated the contact. The online staff also refused to provide me with the name and email address of the new owner. The ONLY positive was a phone call from the general manager to apologize. He did not, however, honor the written quote. I am disgusted with everything about this dealership!
Bought a Malibu in 2018, recieved insurance cards from the dealership only to discover that the policy didnt exist. Insurance rates subsequently skyrocketed because of the lapse in liability coverage.Recently decided to bring it back to Summit for 100,000 mile service but was accidentally booked for an oil change and tire rotation. They were aware of their mistake but would not honor the original appointment.Summit has wasted enough of my time and money, I will not be going back.
Don’t go there for anything. And certainly don’t buy a vehicle from them and expect it to be clean either Tori was extremely rude and confrontational. Due to lack of inventory everywhere and you had the truck I wanted I still bought a truck from you. I set an appointment 5 days prior to pick my truck up and it still wasn’t ready after an hour of waiting. I get home and tori needs me to do all these things because she was to busy rushing me through all the paperwork then sitting in the managers office and left me and Mel alone. Mel didn’t even know what any paper work was and was constantly on his phone. Tori says I need to verify something for a rebate I’ve already had the truck for 4 days deal is done and she says now I owe her 1500. She doesn’t know what she’s doing, accused me and my wife of lying, and I’m telling everyone to never go to auburn Chevy
Service department is a joke no one answers the phone. If they do they have a attitude. I thought summit had bad customer service till I tried dealing with Auburn Chevrolet. Do yourself a favor and go to Bidleman Ford across the street they can handle the service on your GM vehicles in a professional manner.
Brought my car there because the engine was making noise. Had a secondary warranty company that declined the claim. I didnt have all of the 1k for the tare down price that the warranty company wanted done because it was denied. My engine was all torn apart and they wanted my vehicle out of there bay. We talked about rebuilding the engine and got a quote. Had my car towed to my house to find the engine was thrown in totes in the back of my car. After opening the hood everything was exposed the timing chain hanging out and all ports exposed to any animal or anything to get in. I left 4 messages with the service lady I was dealing with to ask why my car was just thrown out of the bay like that. She wouldnt return any of my calls. I came up with how much the engine rebuild was going to be and then was told that they wouldnt rebuild the engine because of it sitting for 2 months exposed to the elements. They knew it was going to take a month or two to come up with the money and still did nothing to cover any components or do anything. Talked to service manager and asked him how he would feel if that was his car left the way mine was. He didnt answer. So now they wont rebuild it and they want me to get a used engine with 100k miles and a 6 month warranty for 3000 more dollars than what was quoted. Dont let them touch your car they dont stick to there words and then tries to get even more money from you. Customer service is the worst Ive ever experienced.
7/21/21I had to bring my gmc to a dealership for an air conditioner service because of a code other garages wouldnt be able to clear. It took 2 weeks to get an appointment at summit. I dropped off the vehicle and requested to pick up my vehicle by 3:45pm.I called at 1:25pm to find out they hadnt touched my vehicle yet. I once again requested to pick up my vehicle.Service closes at 5pm, at 4:45pm I still hadnt received a call about the condition of my vehicle. I called their service department and was notified that my car wasnt repaired but the service was complete and they would wait for me to pick it up. I start driving there and the service employee calls at 5pm and told me my vehicle wasnt ready to be picked up, that it was still torn apart. I was also told the technician was allowed to leave. Now my vehicle is being held in their garage torn apart without my approval. I asked what they would do about it and I was told theres nothing they could do.I had to miss several hours of work to take care of this mess.By far the most unprofessional car dealership Ive ever been to. I wouldnt buy anything from them, I wouldnt let the install anything, I would never buy a car from these clowns, in fact I wouldnt let them service the inside of my garbage can with water. The GM sent me the below message to call him. When I called the number he provided I was told he doesnt work at that number and they couldnt help me.
The worst. This dealers service department is now a total scam show. You cant get an appointment, they dont service the vehicle, and they wont answer the phone.Just be warned when they start talking about your $100 diagnostic fee its because they are going to try ,to rake you $1750 for a brake job and know any sensible person would walk away.Spare yourself the agony (and the $100) and go somewhere else.
I felt very comfortable and confident with both the salesman and the financial person and was treated with the utmost respect and consideration. My experience was outstanding and would never hesitate to recommend Summit Chevrolet and those particular persons to anyone. Thank you for making this a pleasant experience.
All staff were courteous, and friendly.Used coupons and staff applied all that could be used for what I had done.Waiting room was enjoyable with the TV on mute with sub-titles.Social distancing was not a problem and everyone was wearing masks.Location of dealership is convenient for me.
This place is the reason you should be able to give ZERO stars... avoid under any circumstances!Update.. not sure why you would post that generic response. My issue was with you directly., Christopher. You NEVER asked me one question about the service your dealership provided me.. only to get a smart mouth when you knew that wasn’t the time. 3 days of lies and dishonesty... shame on you and anyone willing to do business with you.
I was quoted $300 and it would take 2 hours. I was called 2 1/2 hours later and was told i had to leave it overnight. When I asked if i can come and retrieve some items from my car and grab my work keys, i was specifically told Summit closes at 5 (I was called at 4:35ish). Found it a little upsetting they would give me less than a half hour notice to pick items up when i was told it would be done well before the end of the day. When going to pick my vehicle up the next day i was told they were able to fit it under warranty which i was happy about. However, the employee i was signing paperwork with told me it would have costed me $1,000 (even though i was quoted $300). I was told that it would have been $1000 because the person who looked at the requested service made a mistake and underestimated the labor involved, and the employees working on the requested service (a stripped and messed up antenna) were having issues and couldnt get it done in the estimated two hours.I dont think it is right for the customer to have to pay for the dealerships mistake. The person who gave me the estimate had my vehicle for over an hour before giving me the estimate. Is it my fault the person giving the estimate was incorrect and couldnt do their job? Why should i be on the hook for their mess up?Once I picked the vehicle up, i noticed that the inside of the vehicle where they were doing work was absolutely filthy. There was dirt and grease on the headliner and all over the plastic. There were hand prints and smudges all over the inside and outside of the windshield and the side windows. There was smudges on the outside on the paint. I know for a fact that the vehicle was not like that when I dropped it off the day before. I have pictures to prove it.I appreciate getting the service covered under warranty but the service was less than ideal.
As usual your service writers were very informative and professional. My vehicle was serviced quickly and the total cost was lower than the original estimate. Everyone I encountered was pleasant and helpful. We have purchased 8 vehicles from Summit Chevrolet Buick since 2009, 6 in the past 3 years. Mitch, Sam, and Drew were the reasons we did, as in the past the general attitude and demeanor of the other sales managers was unpleasant and sometimes unpleasant.I receive reminders and communication from the service department and from Mitch Roe, the Sales Manager.Mitch went out of his way to help me with a question regarding the value of a vehicle owned by a family member. This was a huge help. I truly appreciate the information.Overall we have experienced a very noticeable improvement in the dealership in terms of overall atmosphere, friendliness and the willingness of the staff to assist customers in any way possible. It was a great experience on Friday.Thank you!Don Matson
My 2017 GMC Acadia had an intermittent Shift To Park error message. I called the Summit dealership where we purchased the car new for help with this issue. I was told there was a service bulletin on this issue and the shift wire harness needed replacing. I was told that this would be covered by warrantee. I told the woman I spoke to that the 3 year warrantee was expired but she still assured me it would be done at no charge. She told me that they would need to order the part and she made an appointment for the following week. I asked if she was sure they would have the part by then since we lived an hour away and she assured me they would have the part. We arrived for our appointment, was told it would take about an hour. We wanted to go for a walk so the woman took our number and said she would call when the car was done if we had not returned by than. We returned about 45 minuets later and found our car setting outside. When I asked if the car was done I was told that it was not done. They had not ordered the part so they did not have it, and the repair was not covered by warranty and it would cost me $190 for the repair ($13 for the part, the rest labor). I asked to talk to the service manager, he apologized and the only explanation I was given was the woman I originally talked to was new and that they were very busy. I will never step foot in a Summit dealership again, and I will tell anyone what a discouraging experience I had. I have owned General Motor vehicles all my life, the last 2 were GMC, and have never been so disappointed and frustrated with a dealership.
Jim Mosher’s customer service is second to none. During this difficult time when dealership hours are limited, Jim stepped up and came to my place of work so I could sign the contracts in person. This was my third vehicle purchase with Jim and, as always, the experience was exceptional.
Nikki Kelley, my sales person was excellent and very easy to work with during the process. I was a little confused by the dealerships policy of not releasing vehicles until certified bank checks have cleared. Ive never encountered this before, buying a vehicle and would be the only reason I would hesitate buying from Summit again. This was obviously no fault of Nikkis but something the dealership should look into, in the future.......
Usually I have a care free service done. I was there for a inspection and to turn on my tire pressure sensors in my winter tires. After waiting for a hour and a half. They tell me I dont have sensors. They programmed them last year. Did they jump out of the tires? Not happy
Worst experience in my 44 years of owning a car. Noticed they had installed my moonroof incorrectly, they denied that it was. Saw gash mark on interior panel, mud all over the interior, they denied doing it. Took vehicle home, it rained that night, my car had standing water in it the next morning!!!!!
My recent experience at your dealership was excellent. I cant say enough about Samantha, who handled the paperwork, and checking me in and out. She was very kind, wore a constant smile, and was incredibly personable. The technician that took care of my car, Matt, gave me some of the fastest service that Ive ever experienced in a dealership, and when asked about what exactly had to be fixed gave me very detailed, yet understandable information. Thank u for such a wonderful experience!!
Time got away from me and before I knew it I was over on my mileage for an oil change. I sent a quick email first thing Monday morning and before I knew it, Ron the Service Manager replied back and I was able to get in that day. Steve, the Service Advisor took excellent care of me too. The tech found a nail in my tire and a leak in the tire stem, both were fixed quickly and efficiently. I waited for the work to be done and even with the tire problem, I was still out in an hour. I cant say enough about this service team. Thank you guys for taking such good care of me. Greatly appreciated.
Interesting that we asked that a hold could be placed on our vehicle of choice while we checked other dealers, as we had just begun our search. We said we would call back late afternoon or early evening. The salesman was surprise when we called. Guess he did not expect that a couple could make a request and honor their word. We also recognize the words we will call can be meaningless words used by others. Mike and Barbara hope that our words and actions can reestablish trust and goodness in customers. Thank you for your service.
Ive been going here for years and never had a problem. I like the service and people at this dealership, its also close to home so convenience wise for me it cant be beat. The online notification of when your vehicle is done is nice, they also called me to let me know it was ready for pickup.
I called for just a oil change and tire rotation on my 2018 Silverado, 3 week wait for the service…Terrible, that is the second time I have had to wait weeks for a oil change. Will take to another place, terrible service!!I exceptable !!They were very prompt when I bought the truck 😂
This is the most incompetent repair shop I have ever used. My vehicle is never ready on time and they can never seem to fix the problem. The most recent visit I had 4 issues with my car and they immediately dismissed the most major issue saying there was nothing wrong. They “fixed” 3 other things and charged my warranty $1100.00. 20 minutes after I left the dealership two of the items were broken again. I will never go back here ever again.
I had a good experience with purchasing my vehicle. After some miscommunication, and the problem rectified, I left the dealership satisfied with the outcome. The salesmen were also very kind to my 4 year old daughter who just wanted to look at all the cool cars in the showroom. They even asked to put her picture on their Facebook page. It was really cool that they did that.
Very poor, scheduled my truck for Wednesday June 17 truck was not brought into shop till Friday the 19th . Very poor communication by Todd my advisor. Very hard to get on the phone. Left a detailed note on what the problem was with my Classic West Coast 1998 GMC Sierra.. Truck had several pending trouble codes to have them to work with. By Tuesday afternoon I had enough we were going on a week and Todd & the Mechanic came up with a solution to replace the dash cluster which was not the issue at a price of $600 that would have not solved the issue , the cluster had already been ruled out. The problem is in the ECM wiring harness which the codes directed them to . Codes were, P605, UN1026,UN1042,UN1064,UN1193 . Todd said the Mechanic couldnt read any codes. I tried several times to contact Todd Tuesday morning if he saw my number come in he would ignore it ..I finally got a hold of him by using my work phone that he didnt recognize. I asked him to leave my truck outside with the keys in it & lock it up . I went to pick late Tuesday night my truck was parked way out back left unlocked no keys left and the battery was totally dead. Had to go buy jumper cables at Advance Auto & jump started it. I also had a new scratch that happened since being with Summit. Next day Wednesday I went back to see Todd at the shop & to get my keys . I had him come outside to show him the pending engine codes in my $100 scan tool that he claimed the mechanic could not see or find , I told him about the truck being left with a dead battery and the new scratch. I told him I felt I believe it was a deliberate act because the mechanic was not happy with the situation. The battery was new and has never failed. I was respectfull and truthful at all times Todd didnt want to hear anything more from me and just walked away from me didnt offer to make anything right or even a apology. The truck is at another GM dealer today. I have never been treated so poorly by any dealer before. I have had work done in the past with this shop with my crew cab ..never a problem .. I just dont understand it very concerning. If they didnt want to work on my truck I wished they would of just said so . Ask the girl who answers the phone how many times I called to try to get a hold of Todd ... Truth ..
Took my 2017 car in for an oil change and recall. When the work was done JOE in the service department called and was rude and degrading on the phone when I️ simply had asked what work was done to my car because last time I️ had it serviced I was told that I️ needed $1,300 worth of work done. When they told me i needed that much done I took it to excellerated down the street and they said that there was absolutely nothing wrong with my car. Will not be taking my car here anymore. Joe should learn to treat and talk to the customers with respect!
I have never had such a poor experience getting my vehicle serviced! 8 full days after bringing my vehicle in for a tire replacement and service to an AC dash component, all I got was a fixed tire and a $350 bill. Not only did they not have the specialization to fix my AC component, but I was not even notified that the service would not be completed until the day I picked up my vehicle. 8 DAYS TO FIX A TIRE?!?!?! In addition, I spent well over $200 to rent a temporary vehicle, and the staff at Summit did not even offer to loan me a vehicle or reimburse me for my rental. I am so beyond disappointed with my experience, if you have the choice GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!
Had an appointment for an inspection and oil change i waited 3hr in the waiting room. The waiting area filled up as I waited and then cleared out i was the second person in there and the last to leave by 30 min. I am also not sure why you bother to space out seating when no one comes and sanitizes between customers. I watched person after person sitting where the last person sat.
I drove all the way from Long Island to meet up with my brother who lives within a half hour of this dealership. He desperately needed a new car and I had some GM Card Earnings I wanted to use to allow him to get an even better deal on a new Chevy. So I decided to make the 280 mile drive, gambling that Id find the car he wanted at a dealer that is honest and trustworthy.Summit is one of six GM dealers within a half hours drive of my brothers house and was the dealer who won our business.I have bought 16 new cars over two decades and I know the good and bad of the business. I walk into a dealer and it doesnt take me long to judge the quality of the people and the operation. The people at Summit are friendly and welcoming, and the overall experience is among the best I have had yet. They passed my test for sure. Our sales rep (Dan Q) was amazing to work with. He had two different vehicles prepped for us to test drive. He answered all our questions. Hed be a great choice for someone buying their first new car. There was no pressure at all. In fact, I was pressuring him because I had to drive back to LI that evening! He knew this would be a same-day delivery if we ended up agreeing on a deal, so he was quick and efficient at getting things done.We got the perfect car - right there on the lot, and worked out an amazing deal. The business manager worked with a bunch of lenders to get the best rate even though the buyers credit wasnt optimal. He is one of the friendliest and most experienced finance guys you will ever meet.Everything went like clockwork and my brother drove home in his new Chevy the same day I drove him in there. If youre reading this and considering a stop at Summit to shop for a car, you definitely want to stop there first. They have a great selection of vehicles, the deals are outstanding, and the people work very hard to earn your business. I dont give out five-star ratings often, but Summit deserves the best rating.
The buying experience was average for a dealership, we had to make several trips to sign and resign paperwork that had to be amended. Their sales team does not seem to know how to handle external financing. Unless everything is one for one on registration they also get confused, we wanted to register the new vehicle in both names and that gave us another run around of paper signing and extra charges, this week I got the title and they failed to issue the lien holder on it when it was filed which will probably cost me more money yet again to get it fixed.A couple weeks ago we made an appointment to have a few items serviced on our new Silverado. The dealership did not take the time to once over the vehicle at the time of delivery to verify everything was good to go and in our excitement and assumption the dealership had we didnt either. That being said the vehicle had a factory paint defect on the hood, a cracked bezel around the radio and the passenger windshield wiper arm was missing the end cover. We dropped the vehicle off for service after owning it a week and a half to have it spend the next two and a half weeks at the dealership. Their service department did not communicate with us during the experience and it took us numerous calls before we could get any type of response. After a week and a half and half a dozen calls I finally found out that they were waiting on parts to come in so it was sitting waiting. Half a week later I call several more times to find out that the part had come in but no one had scheduled time at the body shop to get the hood fixed. Finally the next week I call back and find out they dont have the paint tint they need and are now waiting on that to come in.The dealership had several points at which they could of made a simple phone call to update us to the status of a repair and did not. They also have terrible time management and internal communications. The body shop should of known about the vehicle coming when I scheduled the appointment and should of at that point ordered the paint tint that they needed for the job, service should of sent the vehicle to paint while they were waiting for parts to come in for the repairs and simple updates should have been given to let us know they care.I wish I could say the issues were just with the service. They give us a loaner vehicle after having the vehicle a week I get a phone call at 3:30pm telling me that they are taking insurance off the vehicle they gave me that day because it was over 3000 miles and was past its useful loaner car life and to bring it back to trade out. A simple phone call the day before would of gone a long way or not giving us a loaner with over 3000 miles on it in the first place. The second vehicle they gave us they dont give out the key fobs for so every time you unlock the door with the key it sets off the alarm till you can get in the vehicle and start it. I asked about the fob and was told they dont give them out because people loose them and they are to expensive. Simple fix is charge people IF they loose the fob, problem solved and the customer doesnt have to look like they are stealing the car every time they try to get into it. Also if they are going to ask that you return the loaner with the same amount of fuel you got it with, they should probably do the same with your vehicle as well, nothing more frustrating than dropping your car off with a full tank of gas to get it back close to a 1/4 tank down. All in all Summit Chevy has poor time management, internal and external communications, and overall customer service. They are ok until you buy the vehicle, once you own it they no longer care and will not hesitate to waste your time. So far in my ownership of this vehicle the dealership has had it longer than I have, makes me kinda regret getting a Chevy.
Customer service manager is rude and clueless. He said that they couldnt rotate my tires mind you I have all original GM equipment and he said that they would BREAK THEM if they tried to rotate. When I took them to another Cayuga County GM dealership after they stopped laughing they did the rotation. I must add that Summit reimbursed me for my oil change. I just cant understand what his issue was but he is rude and should not deal with customers. I never have been treated so poor.Summit needs to address this issue for sure.
This was the first time buying a GMC and making the change from Ford. The process was simple from talking about what I was looking for to the finial paper work and got a new truck with way more options than the Ford truck for less. Im very impressed with the truck! Sale and finance departments did an exhalant job at finding the right truck and payments that fall within the budget. I would like to thank everyone that worked with us to make this happen! I will be sharing my story with one that ask about the truck as Summit made the perfect deal happen for us! Very pleased with the truck and follow up from the dealer as not many of them do what they say they will do. The salesmen that worked with us took the time to truly listen to us and not just listen to make another sale. That is a trait that will set him apart from others and have returning customers like us! Well done Jim!
Randy Pilot was the best!!! He made it easy and painless every step of the way. In the search for my new vehicle, my husband contacted many dealerships in and around the Syracuse area and Randy was one of the very few who kept in contact with us. He followed through with everything he said he would do. Thank you Randy!!
I had a wonderful experience at Summit Chevy GMC Buick. My sales person Bill Graney really worked hard to get me into a brand new car. My situation was a bit hard due to trading in a car that we were somewhat upside down on. But in the end everything turned out great.
I do not like going to car dealers because I usually feel ripped off and insulted. I dealt with a salesman, Cody, and he was great. I did not feel any pressure. He would call me back from time to time but not pestering me with trucks that came in. I finally went to look and he worked very well with me on the purchase of my truck. I brought it back for regular service and the people in the service center were also very accommodating. I liked the place so much that I recommended Summit Chevy to my aunt and she also bought a car from Cody.
Had to get some warranty work done on my 2013 Equinox. I called late on a Tuesday afternoon and the initial response was I couldnt get in until Thursday. It was un-driveable until it was fixed, so timeliness was really important. Even though they had a full schedule for Wednesday, they took the car and had it done by mid-afternoon. I appreciated feeling like a priority! They call to follow up and make sure your car is still driving fine - that was nice to receive as well!
I had a NYS inspection and oil/filter change performed on April 23, 2019. I was greeted upon arrival and promptly checked-in, work was performed within one hour, and I was billed for exactly the work that was done, and departed 45-minutes from the time I checked-in. All work was accomplished in a professional manner and my truck was responsive and felt good as I drove home.
Excellent sales staff. Lots of emails back and forth to make sure time was not wasted on either side of the deal. My almost 2 hour drive to their showroom was worth the trip. Thank you Chris DAmato and Vince Santoro and the rest of the staff. Will be doing more dealing in the future for sure.
The first purchase price/financing offer that was presented to me was lower than the monthly budget payment I wanted to meet, so my time was not wasted trying to negotiate a better deal. I feel that Pat Nolan (my salesman) and Mark Lovell (Finance Manager) went out of their way to make choosing a vehicle, and my financing experience, as stress free as possible. I could not be happier that I chose to walk into the Auburn Summit Chevrolet Buick GMC sales lot to purchase my 2019 Buick Encore. Pat and Mark exceeded my expectations at every turn. I cannot thank them enough for their help in choosing my Buick, I absolutely LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!
When I dropped off my 2017 Corvette a number of trouble lights were on and the car ran badly. It took a few days for the problem to be diagnosed and resolved. Steve with the service group called to keep me informed. I appreciated those calls and Summits techs resolving the issue. I look forward to continuing my relationship with the Summit team.
Could not have asked for better service. They were ready for me when i got there and kept me informed of everything along the way. I went there because of the lack of service I received at Evans, now Mcguire, they should take a lesson. Summit now has earned my business. Thank you Samantha and the team at Summit.
Disappointed: Summit Chevrolet Buick GMC Grant Ave. Auburn NY Service Dept. I had a flat tire on my 2017 GMC Friday the 13th I called Summit to order a new one and set an appointment to have it put on. The appointment was set for 2:00 Monday the 16th I arrived at 1:55 and told them I would wait in the waiting room. At 3:45 a friend of mine came in with Joe, (an employee in Service Dept.) I asked him what was taking so long to replace 1 tire he responded in a sarcastic manner “well who did you leave keys with it wasn’t me!” I then went out to the area where I dropped my car off and found Steve I asked him what was taking so long he called down to service and they told him it was on its way up, 20 minutes later Steve came in the waiting room with the bill never did apologize for the long wait but asked if someone from service came in to talk with me I said no. With an appointment it took them 2hrs and 20 minutes to replace 1 tire. Never did speak with service to find cause of delay. I feel that the Service Dept. over books appointments with no regard for the customers time.Roger Baldwin
It would seem that customer satisfaction is a thing of the past, I used to do detailing for fox we use to go out of away for customers as far as buffing scratches, wet sanding, making sure the vehicle is clean inside and out. Got a 2nd detailing done and still miss stuff.
I have had my vehicles serviced at Summit for several years. Each and every time the service was performed in a professional manner and at a very reasonable and fair price. The service department explains each and every detail regarding service that is needed and alway keeps me informed of their progress. The Service Manager Tom is exceptionally friendly, accommodating and extremely knowledgeable. This dealership goes above and beyond any other dealership that I have ever used in the past. I have personally referred many clients, family and friends to Summit and they have thanked me for sending them in the right direction. Furthermore, they have always been completely satisfied whether they are purchasing a new or preowned vehicle or utilizing their amazing Service Department. A+++++++
Worst vehicle buying experience ever, Summit Chevrolet of Auburn knowingly sold a vehicle to the public that has water related electrical problems caused by their own staff hosing out the interior of the truck with a water hose while preparing the vehicle for sale. Christopher Dimarco and Ray Vermeulen give used car salesmen a bad name. PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM SUMMIT CHEVROLET IN AUBURN. BUYER BEWARE AND STAY AWAY FROM THE THIEVES AT SUMMIT CHEVROLET IN AUBURN.
I had a horrible experiance! I took my fiancees car in for an Oil change and an inspection after 45 mins they called me and told me it failed inspection. I asked for what. He told me the power steering rack was leaking. Well last night we took it to a friend who has an inspectors licence and he told my fiancee he cant fix something that isnt broken. So we took it to a different dealership today and he passed his inspection with flying colors. So this dealership and the people who work for it tried to steal 1600.00 from us on a part that didnt even need to be fixed! My fiancee has put more money into the car he bought from there then apparently the car is even worth. He has nothing but problems with it. We would take it in and they would fix the problem for it to really not be fixed so we had to go spend even more time and money for a friend or family member help us Mind you in the last 3 years we have bought 3 cars from there. Dont you think you got enough money from us? If you do HAVE to go there the only person I recommend is Derrick. But we will never deal with summit again! I was in tears. They told me I couldnt take it off the lot my fiancee called gm i asked if i could get it towed they said nothing. A guy even asked me if i needed a ride home. The people at this dealership said that I WOULDNT pay the outstanding balance of 90 dollars! I was NEVER told i could pay the balance and leave with the vehicle. when i first arrived there they told me the amount and asked if that was ok. I said yes. So at the end of the day why would I not pay it.? My fiance went and picked up the car no problem its probably because hes a guy. So women watch out!
I recently bought a brand new $43,000 truck from Summit. I had a good experience last time i bought from them, so i went back. Of course the first time i didnt have any problems. I pointed out a simple discrepancy with my tires, the truck was supposed to come with all-terrain tires, but came with the all-season tires. I have tried to resolve this matter with my salesman, the manager, and even their corporate headquarters. i cannot even get a return phonecall. its as if once the truck was paid for, i fell off the face of the earth. This has been the poorest example of customer service that i have ever experienced! If you plan on buying from this dealership; BUYER BEWARE! My next truck will definately be a ford.
I went to test drive a vehicle and was ready to go ahead and buy it, however when I talked to the salesman I couldnt help but feel ridiculed because of my income. I had already been approved for a loan from my bank but they kept saying how low my income is, and how they cant believe the bank would trust me with a loan. I left feeling pretty low, but I certainly wont buy from them, ever!
My salesman somehow could not remember who I was or even my correct name three times within a week. It was almost comical. He then was supposed to look at Tahoes for me but apparently I wasnt worth getting back to, even after I reached out to him on multiple occasions. I highly recommend going to another dealership that will give you the time of day when looking at $45k trucks. Summit, if you are reading this and are as embarrassed as you should be, reach out to me and I will tell you who my salesman was.
I am reposting as it looks like another empty promise from summit. Supposedly I was going to be contacted to correct the issue again nothing. Same empty promises as we originally posted. Trend looks like it from the owner down.. be careful buyers.Stay Away!! We purchased a Certified car and there were scratches on the bumper that they committed to fix. They explained that they would feather it in and we wouldnt even see it. What they actually did was globed on paint and it looks like a 10 year old did it. They didnt keep up their end of the deal and refuse to take care of it. Even misrepresenting the fact they globed on paint to GM. BE CAREFUL!!1
No problem with purchase of vehicle but the service department is totally incompetent. Asked for a rental vehicle for my 2018 Chevy Silverado and got a 2014 Malibu. Not happy and will never buy a vehicle from Summit auto again. Bringing vehicle in for second time to fix the same problem!
I wish 0 was an option! I put a $1,000 down on a 2017 Yukon Denali- keep in mind I signed nothing. After being low balled on my trade, I decided not to buy it... I texted my salesman (will disclose name if asked) and told him I no longer want the vehicle. He texted me that he could not cut me a check as only an owner was allowed to sign a check (on 1/26/18) and one would not be in until Monday. Keep in mind that check should never have been cashed until the deal was finalized! I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited until today (Monday 1/29/18). The salesman texted me stating they were giving him a hard time about refunding my money... Do I have proof they cashed my check!!!! ( I also have proof of these texts) Are you kidding me!!! Yes I do! Only after not being able to get a hold of the branch manger and getting NO where with the salesman; Sam got involved and had a check cut for me.Moral of the story, they are crooks!!! You deserve RESPECT take your money else where where you will be treated with respect!!! Bill Rapp will give you that respect!!! So much for shopping local!
My Father and I went looking for a car for me. We ended up at Summit Buick GMC.. We were there to buy a car. Used or New shouldnt matter. We werent treated very well by our salesman, he tried to sell us a 2014 Chevy Equinox, the doors were already mostly rusted out, they wanted 14K for it. My dad asked about this and the salesman was oblivious, his only response was Oh like so what. We moved on to the next vehicle, the salesman knew nothing about it. We took it for a test drive and went into the office. We liked the car and were in a crunch. The salesman was almost rude like we were wasting his time. Also, so much for the numerous point inspection. We have to fix things they neglected all the time. ARG!! I hate this car and I am totally hating Summit!! I will not even drive the car at this point.
I leased a brand new 2014 Chevy Cruze and I had a great experience. I shopped around and not only did they have by far the best rate but the service before, during, and after the sale was nothing short of fantastic. Randy was great to work with. They definitely will earn your business!
Drove here from Syracuse for a specific car for my sister. We arrive to find 2 larger sized dents, scratches of missing paint, and rust. The leather arm rest was totally worn. The car was priced about 1,000 over Kelly blue book value. The dealer was very combative with my mom who had obvious concerns about my younger sister considering to buy this car. After the dealer couldnt even garuntee fixing the damage we left and would not return or recommend to anyone.
Recently moved to New York and was in desperate need to service my vehicle. I had my 04 Dodge Ram serviced at Summit. The staff was very friendly and helpful, I am grateful to have found a trustworthy and reasonably priced department. Thank you, Summit Chevrolet Buick GMC!!!
I would recommend Summit Chevrolet on Grant Ave. in Auburn, New York. There are a whole lot of Car Dealerships on this long line of car dealerships on Route 5, but it is one of the last ones going out of town toward Sennett. They all look the same - kind of blue, gray, and silver - so its easy to get it confused with a few other dealerships from the outside of the building, but once you get inside you realize that it is a friendly atmosphere where skilled professionals work. They are efficient, fair-minded, honest, and they understand Chevys. When you meet Steve (on the service team) you will know that you are in the right place.
I purchased a Chevy Sonic Turbo almost three weeks ago from Sam Gotsis-- and I am so glad I did! I have 1,000 miles on it already- it is a fantastic car! With it being dragon green it draws a lot of attention! If anyone is in the market to buy a vehicle, I highly suggest going to Summit and have Sam take care of you! Buying a car from him is as much fun as driving one! Thanks Sam!!!
I bought a new 2015 Buick Encore from Summit from Sam Gotsis. They beat the competitors price by over $1,000 and I got a great financing percentage! I was dreading the car buying experience, but they and made the whole process fast and easy. I would recommend this dealership!
The staff was friendly and helpful. They didnt push or rush. They took the time to listen to my needs and came back with a clear direction on how to get there. I was very appreciative of the customer focus and attitude and appreciate my vehicle. Thanks Frank, Mark and Tom.
Took my car to Chevy Summit car service 4 times for my engine overheating over the course of less than a year. It wasn’t until my fourth visit that they finally fixed the problem by changing the oil and oil filter. Before they changed my oil the last time I had an oil change was 6,000 miles ago. My engine overheated so much that it disintegrated my oil filter and I was told I need to buy a “new” used engine for the price of $3,500 because particles went into my engine. This is my first car (2014 Chevy Cruze) and it only has 40,000 miles on it. Highly disappointed in the neglectful service I received from chevy summit in Auburn. If you have a problem with your car I recommend finding another car servicer!!
I had a great experience with Summit Chevrolet in Auburn NY. I initially contacted Vincent Santoro who was very helpful, courteous, and blazing fast in his response to my inquiries. When I went to look at the 2011 Silverado I ended up purchasing I was further helped by Cody Ost who is one of the sales representatives. He was straightforward, very helpful, and no nonsense which was refreshing when it comes to car dealerships. There was no pressure or confusing sales tactics with these guys, just a fair deal on a nice vehicle, and I am very pleased. Thanks guys!
If you are interested in buying a new vehicle from Summitt Chevy, Buick, GMC, I would highly recommend taking the time out to talk to Cody Ost in person. I say this because of the fact Cody displays human qualities that one can appreciate. From my findings, Cody is an individual that truly cares about his customers. Cody will do everything he can do on his end to satisfy your needs and wants. I was extremely impressed with Codys disposition and his sales approach. If you are looking for someone that will go that extra mile and treat you with the respect that you deserve, Cody Ost is one you will want to meet with.
Honestly this dealership is a joke. Had 5 different occasions where I brought my truck in for an engine misfire which the first time I blew a cylinder in my truck. I have to try to bring my truck to another dealership and hope they can fix it properly. Never buying another vehicle here again. Don’t waste your money here
I bought a truck via the big GMC Black Friday/ end of year sale. I havent bought a vehicle in several years, so I was expecting something spectaular because of all the recent advertising hoopla. I like the vehicle I purchased, but a bit disappointed because I never got the new car excitement, realizing theres not much difference where you go when buying a new vehicle. As in yester-years, a car dealer is a car dealer no mater you go.
Always excellent service from the staff at Summit. Steve Milewski (service advisor) and Stin Dahl (service tech) provide outstanding customer service each time that I schedule my vehicle for service. Also, A BIG Thank you to Steve Milewski, Ron Hardter and Stin Dahl for being persistent with fixing the consistent problems (from the factory) with my wifes 2014 Chevy Equinox. They all worked very diligently in pursuing technical information from GM and staying focused on customer satisfaction. Gentleman, your commitment to customer satisfaction and staying focused on correcting the issues with my wifes 2014 Chevy Equinox is a testament to the outstanding service that you provide at Summit Chevrolet-Buick GMC. Mitch Roe - Sales Manager......Thank you for contacting GM regarding my wifes vehicle!Respectfully,Robert C. Elser

2022-06-24I just purchased a 2019 GMC terrain from this wonderful dealership. I got an excellent trade in value for my truck. Jamie Swarthout was such a wonderful saleswoman, and went above and beyond to keep me updated throughout the buying process. The business managers were so friendly and helpful. Will purchase from this dealership again. Thanks guys!

2022-06-24I was able to bring the truck this morning for them to diagnose and repair the truck. They were very honest with us saying that they may not get to it until Monday or Tuesday. Well, everything worked out and within a hour we got a call telling me what the problem is and they would be able to do the repair today. After a couple of hours we got a call saying we could pickup the truck. One very happy customer without a doubt. Thanks for the great service.

2022-04-08I found it was very convenient to set up and appointment for after work. I needed an oil change and was able to set it for 3 PM I get out of work at 2:30 and work on the west end of town, so this was great, and I live just around the corner from their shop. I was in and out in less than a half hour. Thank you all for everything. Everyone was very friendly.

2022-06-20My experience with this dealership started 10 months with the the ordering of a 2022 corvette stingray, many things happened in that time frame to discourage me from keeping my order in for the car, but, thanks to the wonderful people at the dealership that kept me well apprised of the situation and all that was going on with their allocations each month , of course with my constant phone call to them , I cannot thank Mitch Roe ( car manager) , Jessica McCarthy (sales administrator)and Randy Pilot ( sale person) for all the caring and professionalism they showed me through this whole process. Thanks to them and all of the great people I have contacted through my journey I am very grateful. My rsting for-them on a scale of 1 to 10 , I would give them 1000. I cannot give them enough praise for a car dealership that really care about their customers as they do… by the way I received my 2023 stingray on June 17th, great purchase. Thanks again Auburn Chevrolet for the great car buying experience.
