Everything thing here is made fresh daily. They have, by far, the best fresh chicken fingers anywhere in Buffalo and WNY! They also have daily specials and some of the best chicken wings in WNY. Currently, $22.95 will get you 20 wings and a pitcher of beer/pop. Clams casino? Fish fry? This is the place on Fridays. No matter what you choose here you should go away satisfied. Help yourself to some fresh peanuts while youre there too! They have some fine servers there led by long time employee Krissy. Once you meet her, youll never forget her! When they are busy here the wait time for your order will be on the long side due to a cooking area that isnt equipped for the floor space it currently has. The restaurant seating was expanded while the cooking area hasnt been. However, it is worth the wait and they do everything they can do to expedite your order.Give them a try. Youll be happy that you did and you will be back!!
I was told that this place has the best chicken fingers, and I must admit that I was skeptical, because in my mind Im thinking, How awesome could a chicken finger really be? Oh My Goodness!!!!! Best I ever ever had!!! Will be back soon. Shout out to the owner for your originality. I appreciate good food..., thank you! 🤗
The wings were great and reasonably priced. Fish fry is breaded but tastes good (broiled options available). This truly is a corner bar and grill. Dont expect ambiance and craft beers. Here you can get pitchers of Blue and Blue Light or Rusty Chain. We didnt have a beef on weck but we heard discussions on how this is the place to get it.
We both had fish fries preordered at the time of the reservation call. Fish was tender and deep fried perfectly. Sides were stuffed onions, different but tasty (bacon and cheese stuffed), and a pleasant tasting slaw. It was a first visit for me. Prices were within reasonable. Highly recommended.
Food is AMAZING. Menu unreliable, drink prices unreasonable. Never pay with card.Been a couple times in larger groups. Impressions are an upclass dive bar with limited handicap accessibilities and an amazing kitchen/cook(s). Plenty of seating in their roomy patio and interior dining area (some may argue a bit loud due to the bar being just up the stairs with no separations but hey, its a dive bar of sorts so no bother to me). Wings in fact are amazing but never been let down by anything food wise. The not so great: staff certainly have their ups and downs. The menu is decent although a bit cluttered and when you order single wings, expect to pay 12.50 instead of the 9.50 listed, be told prices have changed and have little ear to listen to your inconvenience as if your attempt to understand is bothersome to the employee. Drinks are overpriced and somehow as I paid $4.25 for a mixed drink, I watched my peer get charged $5 for a CANNED Mich Ultra. He stated probably would never return and promptly left without food due to that. Geez!!!! Rumor is never pay with credit as many strange charges or bill increases pop up later on statements (never tried it but just hearing it has a storied history made me go find cash in the truck).End all, I may return but only for the food and during less busy times but there are so many better experiences to be had and wouldnt ever make it my go to. Enjoy your lifes adventures.
1st time here and wont be the last. Came with a friend thats a regular here. We both ordered wings and they were easily top 5 best wings ive ever had. Waitress was very nice also. Looks like a great hidden local dive bar. Menu is small but is what probably makes the quality of the food A+++
We had to wait for 50 odd minutes just for our food to arrive (an order of 20 wings). Weirdly it didnt even look that busy. The waitress didnt inform us while ordering that their grills were busy. She got the order wrong as well. I kid you not, the waitress unapologetically said (while getting our food) that we gotta wait for good food (50 minutes though?) or if we dont wanna wait we should go to McDonalds. That is a good way to drive away your customers. Their only saving grace was that the food was really good. Best grilled wings I ever had in Buffalo. The service was terrible and nothing great about the ambience. Also for some reason, they dont accept Discover credit cards.Bottom line: The stars are only for the food. Terrible service. Below average ambience. Probably wouldnt go again.
Stopped in for lunch and was pleasantly greeted by a very personable bartender and great patrons. Due to volumes, I had asked an individual behind the bar to close out my tab. Come to find out, he is the restaurant owner whom clearly takes pride in his establishment, from the food to the service. I couldnt have asked for a better lunch break. Thank you for the hospitality!
Excellent food and service. Best chicken fingers and bleu cheese in the world! Honey BBQ fingers and an order of Uncle Daves wings with a side of their incredible bleu cheese and some fries is an unbeatable combo! This place is a hidden gem in WNY with incredible food, great prices and great service. I would recommend this place to anyone!
Really a great little place for wings and fish fry! Staff and service is extremely friendly and personable:). Makes your visit enjoyable along with good food. Ambiance is a bit rough in dining area but summer patio area opens up to make it partially outdoors. Very casual but that can be a good choice at times!
Favorite wings in Buffalo. Grilled and double dipped? Heck yes. The wing special - double order of wings and a pitcher of beer or pop - will run you less than 20 before tip, and the complimentary peanuts are a great touch. The service is uniformly awesome. This really is the place we take out of town guests or friends who havent found this kind of hidden gem in Buffalo.
Probably some of the best wings youll find in Buffalo (and I grew up there)! Wings are deep fried, sauced, and finished on the grill making for a nice char. Other places like Duffs just deep fry and drench in sauce, but then the wings lose their crispiness. If youre not into wings, then there are plenty of other Polish foods on the menu, which are also great. The bar itself usually is filled with friendly locals more than willing to strike up a conversation. Prices are great! They dont charge $6 for a Labatt like a bar downtown would.
A classic dive bar. The food is good, dont expect anything crazy or groundbreaking but good simple greasy bar food. They had good pierogies and beef in weck when I went and prices are reasonable. If you want a simple Buffalo eating experience without too many surprises, this is the place.
Was told by co workers what a gr8 place, took my mom for an early dinner last week , bartender told us no cook until 3:30 ,4:00 a clock, and cash only not so gr8 of a place totally not a good first impression, guess we will look for another watering hole and place to eat , oh there was a man eating a hot meal at the bar (go figure) if I could give no stars I would back to deerwood!!!! the owner never responded to us great customer service (I dont think so)
Went here because my friends raved about the fingers and my wife loves a good barbecue finger ! We ordered a double and it was way too much with fries but they were so delicious and so were the fries! Ice cold Labatts were only $3 ! Excellent place and service was great too ! Thank you Audubon North !
My favorite place for wings in WNY. Friendly staff, great food, good people. So many homemade menu items... You wont be disappointed. Hang out for Sabres game, stop by after work, meet some friends early in the day. Theres usually some people here and the mood is always upbeat.
The only place to get wings, tenders, and beer in buffalo. Small hole in the wall but don’t let the atmosphere intimidate you. Everyone’s friendly and they have the best tenders (get medium sauce) I’ve ever had. You’ve gotta go here at least once while you’re in buffalo.
I know Google sometimes wont post a review with actual ppl names, so Ill be vague.Lets just say that we LOVE this place. One of the unnamed waitresses is SO FREAKIN COOL.. real authentic. Love her!We took friends there after a long tiring weekend, for some of the best wings in town and they did not disappoint! Besides those awesome wings and garlic parmesan pasta, she encouraged us to toss our peanut shells on the floor despite our hesitation.. woot! Much fun had by all.Great food (simple menu). Fun people. Good times had by all. Yay!
This place has the best chicken fingers you will ever have in your life! They are made in house, and are huge. Chicken wings are fantastic and to top it off they make their own Bleu cheese which is amazing. They sponser our softball team on Tuesday nights and I look forward to going every week to get my chicken finger fix.
The best chicken fingers!!! Home made and they are huge!! their periogi also home made and delicious. Their wings big and juicy not small and dried out. The food is always cooked perfect, served piping hot with a smile. the owner is always there and takes the time to personally say hello and watches the quality of all the food that is made. All these pizza places in Amhers suck. Bocce and Johns have gotten soooo over prices and the quality sucks, serving sizes are tiny. Maybe becuase those owners have gotten too greedy or because they never visit their business.
The Audubon North has a very relaxed feel and service can be a little slow when it gets busy, but the staff is always friendly. They make a decent burger, but what you have to get are their bbq chicken fingers or wings on the grill. Add a side of their delicious garlic pasta and life gets no better. This is one of my favorite spots to watch a playoff hockey game.
Best fingers, roast beef, wings and whatever is on the menu in the entire city of buffalo. I dont know where to start with Scott ( owner), Jen and Kayla( bartenders) or Andy, Mike, and John ( regulars ) always felt welcomed atmosphere unbelievable food even better. If your in the city of buffalo your missing out dont hesitate to go here. You will not be disappointed
It’s hard to beat the quality of the chicken fingers and bleu cheese at Audubon North. At lunch time the service is quick for a bite to eat during work hours, but a long wait would be merited at this hidden treasure on Sweet Home Road. In an area where the food options are endless, Audubon North is a must see location for great food and in good company. With a large number of televisions and space for dining, any trip to Buffalo is highlighted by a meal here.
In the past few months the quality of the food and service has gone nothing but down hill. Our most recent trip to Audubon can only be described as terrible, bordering on ridiculous. Let me start by saying that I used to be a fan. I knew what it what was, and perhaps that makes its decline even more disappointing. We arrived at about 6pm, though there were a half dozen people at the bar, there was only one other table seated. We ordered food quickly and hunkered down to await our meal. 15 minutes passed, then 30, then 45. At this point the waitress returned to let us know that the cook is starting our order, and they only had enough meat for 2 of the 3 orders of beef on weck that we placed. I switched my order to a bacon and blue cheese burger, and I was told that it would be brought out when it was done, not with the rest of our meal. After another 15 minutes our food finally arrived. Well, my fellow diners food arrived. I had the chicken finger portion of my meal, but was still waiting on the burger. The fingers were good today, so that was fine. My fiancee complained about her beef on weck, the roll was hard and over toasted, probably over done to hide its staleness. The beef was dry. Luckily our guest was more pleased with her meal. We had ordered our fries crispy, and my fiancees were dark brown and soggy. This has been a reoccurring problem here. THE FRIES ARE TERRIBLE NO MATTER HOW YOU ORDER THEM. For some reason the cook doesnt know how to fry french fries. They were soggy and had no crunch to them at all. While everyone else had finished their meal, I sat back to wait for my burger. At some point later the waitress came back and apologized for the wait stating that getting the cook to put out these orders was like pulling teeth. When the burger finally did arrive, a full 45 minutes after the order was placed (in addition to the 45 minute to an hour initial wait), it was not worth it. I should have sent it back, but at that point I was too hungry to care. The burger was aesthetically pleasing. It looked good, piled high with bacon and fresh lettuce and tomatoes. I wish it was as appealing to the tongue as it was to the eye. It was terrible. The meat was completely flavorless. Strike that. It has a flavor. It tasted like they used cardboard as a mix in to get more burgers out of their stock. There was no use of spice, and the texture was off. The bacon was not good, but not terrible. The bun was too big and stale. Now here were my fries. Once again, they looked good. Not the burnt brown of my fiancees, a nice golden color.Of course looks can be deceiving. The fries were practically uncooked. They were like hot slices of potatoes, but not even that good. Hot slices of greasy, soggy potato. I had all of 3, and couldnt stomach another. When the waitress came to clear our plates I let her know that the fries were practically uncooked. She said I just deliver the food, implying that we shouldnt have it affect her tip. She asked if we wanted them redone, and not having another 45 minutes to waste, I declined. Not wanting to make a scene in front of our guest, I didnt request to talk to a manager, but I did inform her that we wont be coming back. She shrugged her shoulders and walked off.If you are the owner and are reading this, FIRE YOUR COOK and throw in the waitress for good measure. She may have only brought us the food, but the service was subpar and her attitude made a bad experience, worse. The only good news is that they finally cleaned up a bit and removed the decorations from a baby shower that have been up since last year. The bad news is that it still smells like urinal cakes.TL;DR: This is a place where your hopes of getting a good meal go to die.
Went to Audubon North on a Friday with a group of friends to try their wings. It was busy, but not overly busy. We walked in as a group of 5 and stood at the door for a few minutes while a waitress walked by us multiple times muttering the words “there’s no more room in here.” The third time she walked by she said it loud enough for all of us to hear her and clearly see that she did not want us there. We left at that moment and I will be sure to never spend money there.

2022-01-05Stopped for lunch. Quite impressed with the offerings. I had a combo plate of a beef on weck and 5 wings. Blue cheese and horseradish. Pickle slices and peppers carrots and celery. A surprise of spaghetti as a side instead of fries. Scott was spot on with service along with his helper. Friendly atmosphere.

2021-08-14Definitely a dive bar, but this place had AMAZING food! I had heard their wings received excellent ratings and were known throughout Buffalo, and my first trip to Audubon North did not disappoint. The portions were HUGE and incredibly priced. I ordered a chicken finger dinner with a side of garlic pasta (highly recommend), and paid $10. However, I did not order alcohol, but all of their drinks seemed to me reasonably priced too! You cannot go wrong with their wings either! The BBQ char-grilled wings are the way to go!

2022-01-31First time there was on Saturday and I can say with some certainty that we will be back! My boyfriend and I split a double order of fingers and we were able to get Medium and Mild sauce. Both were fantastic and the fries were so good too! Highly recommend this place.

2022-03-26Ive eaten a lot of chicken wings in my life, but the ones at Audubon North are absolutely the best. Meaty, perfectly crispy, excellent sauce, just phenomenal. The beef on weck was excellent too. Definitely recommend.

2021-05-29Heard this was a low-key hidden gem for wings so my wife and I decided to try it out. We were not disappointed! Wings on the grill were absolutely incredible and the flavor was enhanced with the house-made Bleu Cheese. The beef on weck was also phenomenal. Roll was crispy yet soft and wasnt overly loaded with salt and caraway seeds. Beef was super tender and very flavorful making for a fantastic sandwich. I am normally not big on Fries but these ones were fresh cut and cooked really well. So well that I ate all of them, I normally dont do that. The atmosphere was chill but still a good number of patrons for 3 on a Saturday. Service was quick and friendly. I will definitely be back again.

2022-01-14I was a little unsure about the place when I walked in, but that changed quickly. Exterior looks like a built-upon house, door is not clearly marked but is obvious. Interior is best described as eclectic additions. Menu is limited. They have a good selection of beer. The chicken sandwich was one of the best Ive had. Fries were perfectly cooked.

2019-01-05I have lived in this area for 12 years and recently discovered this place. The bartenders are friendly, and fast to serve you. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is the chairs are extremely uncomfortable. The bar stools specifically. If you want to sit for a few drinks you are not going to be very comfortable.

2021-08-10We’ve been here twice an absolutely love it. They have the best chicken fingers ever. Their fries are hand cut and delicious the wings are phenomenal and the beef on well is good too. Their wing sauce is probably some of the best in the area and Chrissy the server is super nice. The food is a little slow to come out but we’ll worth the wait. This is by far one of the best five bars/restaurants in the area.

2018-08-12One of the best kept secrets in Western New York is the Audubon North on Sweet-home Road. What you see are Scott’s handmade Barbecue Chicken fingers on the grill. He takes whole chicken breasts, hand splits them, breads them, deep fries them until cooked, applies barbecue sauce and finishes them on the grill. The fries are made fresh daily from potato’s. For over 20 years on special occasions when I’m in the area, I have been coming to see Scott. There is a nice dining area downstairs to enjoy the meal. Everyone here are absolutely wonderful! Thanks for another great meal. Stop by and treat yourself to a meal that will keep you coming back for more!
