I have been going to Autobahn since I bought my car 4 years ago. They have never let me down, their prices are always competitive, or superior to that of the local Audi dealership, and their knowledge of my car in some places outdoes the local dealership. As long as I can I will always rely on them for quick service, and good rates.
The Autobahn Center may be the only reasonable, skilled and honest forging cars mechanic left in Albany, New York. They diagnose and repair only what is needed at a reasonable charge of $ 105 per labor hour. Fairness seems to be the compass that guides their business. As BMW owner, I feel privileged to have found the Autobahn Center.
These guys are beyond amazing!!! They prevented a road trip from coming to a screeching halt! I recently returned home to North Carolina from a deployment. My wife and I decided when I returned wed take a road trip to somewhere wed never been. We decided Vermont would be the place. The first day we drove from North Carolina to D.C. when we finally arrived and checked in our hotel we jumped back in the car for dinner when I got a message on my dash saying check right lower beam. The light wasnt working at all. I figured no big deal I had another headlight itll be fine. The next day we drove until we reached New York. We checked into the hotel for the night and the next morning I wake up to the same message, but the other headlight! Now Im driving with no lower beams at all. I searched and searched until I found a mechanic shop. I took my car to Autobaun Centre, explained my problem, and he pulled my car right in and came to the conclusion it was just the light bulbs. He replaced them and only charged me for the bulbs. I tried giving him a tip and he wouldnt even take it! He told me to use it for the road trip. You dont find people like that in this world anymore! Thank you so much for being so amazing!!
My TDI died on a sub-zero January morning, and I called Autobahn before noon to explain that I thought the fuel had gelled and could they look at my car. They said yes, and I explained further that it probably wouldnt arrive until later that day, and possibly not until after closing. They told me it wasnt a problem.Tow truck drops the car at 7:30pm, I call the shop and leave a detailed messaging including make, model, year, fuel gelling issue, and my contact information. Like any other TDI owner separated from the precious, I softly cried my self to sleep that night clutching my spare key. I waited an hour or so past when the shop opened the next morning and called to check in. Apparently, there were no messages on the machine, and my car was eighth in line.At 5:30pm I finally received a call from the shop. They had towed my car into the shop for a couple of hours, changed the fuel filter, and were out getting diesel. They also removed an aftermarket inline bilge pump that they thought was both a safety hazard and part of the issue. Fifteen minutes later, they called saying that as soon as they put fuel in, the car was up and running. The service guy was willing to stay a little late so that I could pick up my car. I was appreciative. The total bill was 211 dollars. It included an hour labor, and a 100% markup on both the fuel ($30 for five gallons) and fuel filter ($50 dollars vs. $27 @ autozone/$19 @ Rockauto).Communication and price-tag aside, I was happy with the service. I wont hesitate to return.

2022-05-04Communication and price is top notch, they have wizards rather than normal techs, fitted a meth injection kit on a older bmw and were innovative about it . Hats off

2022-06-15Couple of years ago, had my trunk lock changed. Nothing wrong the work, however recently tried to discuss suspension related work, not communicative enough about it.

2020-08-24I had a great experience here at Autobahn. Chris R. and Greg were reputable and they were recommended by a friend of mine. Chris was a real pleasure to work with, he was honest, professional and offered great service for a very reasonable price. Many consumers worry when they have to bring their cars in for service, autobahn assures their clients that they will receive top-notch service paired with prices that is far lower than the dealerships prices. I highly recommend autobahn to my friends and family.

2021-03-262009 Mercedes Benz c300 4matic Luxury. I must say Amen!! Finally an honest and competent shop for my mercedes!! I had a sensor issue with my hood sensor that no one could figure out. It was going off constantly as I drove. Brought it here and in a jiffy fox the problem. But the part that dropped my jaw was the price I paid for the job. It was so modest I just couldn’t believe it. If you are looking for an honest and moral place this is it. They live by the mechanics creed. They will not truck you and overcharge you like every dealer in America. Come to this place with peace of mind. I will not even consider in the least anywhere else for mycar. God Bless this business and may they prosper!

2020-09-03Really really good guys and professional. With a newer VW Tiguan that wouldnt start, we needed a tow, and they recommended a company who arrived in under 30 minutes. The problem was quickly diagnosed and the repair service completed right away. Thanks Autobahn Greg!

2020-11-12Tried Autobahn for the first time and had a really great experience. Took my 2012 A3 in for inspection and some additional work that I knew I needed. They were helpful, on time, communicative and the car runs great. Thanks.

2019-08-03I’ve been going to these guys for more than a decade (with two Jettas, a BMW, and an Audi). They are knowledgeable and honest, and I trust them implicitly. They are always willing to explain their decisions, and the inner working of my car, they don’t waste money on needless repairs, they advise on future repairs, and their pricing is fair, especially when viewed within the light of their excellent service.

2018-11-06Honest, efficient, and highly skilled --- After an almost 3k quote from the dealership, I called Chris at Autobahn on a whim. Without seeing the vehicle, he had a pretty fair guess as to how to solve the problem. He initially couldnt get me in for three days, and upon hearing the concern in my voice, allowed me to drive right to the shop so he could diagnose it. I found this to be tremendous treatment of a first time customer. He helped me not only quickly, but for a fraction of the price. I will not bring my BMW anywhere else.
