AutoZone Auto Parts in other cities:
I thought this place was decent. The guy sold me a battery charger and he didn’t start my truck. He said to me before I bought it, if it doesn’t start your truck just bring it back. When I brought it back, he didn’t want to give me my money back. I had to go to another store and show my receipt. Which is fine, as long as you have a receipt with AutoZone they have to take the part back. Even if it’s a battery charger which they say they won’t take back because people use it and then return it. But that’s not AutoZone‘s corporate policy. That’s just the store guys not wanting to lose their individualized commissions. A real dirt hole
Had a detailed question regarding a battery which one of the employees sort of new but deferred to the manager which is preferred over making something up and the manager was extremely helpful with helping me. The security guard there was also extremely nice and helpful! A nice smile and a willing to help goes a long way in retaining customers......
Customer service at this Flatbush location is very poor, unfriendly and even unprofessional. They make you feel like that they are doing you a great favor by taking your $ and expect you to be thankful for it. They talk down not to me but almost every single person. I hope thwy get better service.
Manager of this place is Very Rude Guy. I made a trim to this place and forgot mask, as i came in he started to scream and say nasty words toward me , i asked him if i may buy mask from them - he said no, I understood my fault and went to my car and lucky found a mask, as i came in back to the store - the same manager was arguing with another customer not mask related, some guy asked him for something and he answered very impolitely. Customer left the store without buying anything and looking very disappointed. As i understand this manager engaging in arguments with customers all the time therefore he even blacked out his name on the badge with black marker - all that you may see - first letter Z and last letter M i think. This manager has to be changed - he destroys sales at this location, i will never go back to that place again.
Very rude.... person answered the phone like it was their personal phone .. 1008am Hispanic male, I asked if this was auto zone and the attitude came right out... I know everyone is frustrated but at least you have a job and maybe, just maybe you are well enough, some people are not so fortunate, be thankful, be appreciative be kind , life is so uncertain, if youre miserable in your minimum paying job its no ones fault but yours....its not all about you.. Be kind to the customers that are allowing you to put good on your table.i hope this post makes auto zone teach their employees to treat all customers with respect and kindness.
Battery died. Came here to have battery tested and buy new. Store said they didnt have tester or loaning tools to swap out the batteries. Make sure before you come call to ask whether they have these things on hand to use. Hopefully, these facts are true and the staff isnt lazy.
Kevin was a fantastic help to me. Visited the store to check on my battery. He helped me from start to finish. Tested not only the battery but the alternator as well, helped me on which battery to purchase as well as other accessories, then even after all of that he went ahead and installed the battery for me himself. The entire time he showed me what to do, gave me tips, and did it super quick. Definitely would return to this autozone based on Kevin’s help, extremely helpful fast and easy!
Staff was knowledgeable and attentive to you needs. There was a fellow with very long hair at register who was very good and gave great advice about parts. Our child pee on the floor (2yrs old) and ran behind register and they handled well and laughed it off : ) and gave us paper towels. Wait was not long too.
I was trying to return oil . I had the right receipt . The date was good but there were not able to read few numbers from the barcode so I asked to talk to a manager. They sent me to the door that there is suppose to b his number on a paper there . I couldn’t find it . I asked . He said on the door .i Judy was too annoyed so I left the store w the oil I wanted to return in the store abs left. I was so disapointed w the void costumer service .
Ive been going to this location for several years now. With the exception of the occasional goofball that they hire then get rid of fairly quickly, the staff that stays for longer periods are usually professional & courteous. They do their job. Store has always been kept well. This rating reflects their performance spanning about 10 years.
I don’t normally leave reviews at all for any store but I felt as if I had to today. After experiencing bad, careless and lazy service from AutoZone in Coney Island Ave I was in such of a new place to change and test my car battery. I was recommended to head over to this AutoZone of Flatbush. Spoke with Gustavo over the phone, I can tell his wiliness to help over the phone and in person. This helped me regain confidence with AutoZone, well at least for this location. Gustavo was very busy with customer and needed me to wait a bit but made sure he communicated with me to let me know he didn’t forget me and make sure he got right over to me when he finally had the chance. He was such a great help. Tested my car battery and alternator. He also was very kind to have replaced the battery. As busy as he was he never rolled his eyes, acted stressed out, complained, etc.... Gustavo was very kind to me in every way. We even had a few laughs. Thank You again Gustavo and I’m sure your customers will be having the same experience as I had. Your wiliness and drive to do the right things for your customers will take you to far places in life.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Wanted a steering wheel cover and they let me take it out to the car to try.The store was very clean and organized. I was able to find all the items I was looking for and checked out very fast. They have a large parking lot so its easy to stop in.
Awful customer service I get that they employee in the local area but there has to be a degree of professionalism you don’t work in the projects just because you live there, incredibly unknowledgeable and unreliable. I was nevercalled from my part that I ordered a week ago I had to call in to check on it because I was worried. I will never shop there again. Any review over 2 stars is fake and from an employee there friends or a friend of the supervisor, fake reviews and even worse service.
Their trendy little jingle kept spinning in my head as I searched for windshield wipers. I purchased them and someone from the store helped me apply therm to the car.The place could be a tad neater, the floors can use a washing. No females on staff. The guys working werent busy and sort of clowning around as I entered but were good and helpful.
I was stopped by police last week and told that my left brake light was out. After giving me a warning, I drove over to Autozone on Flatbush Ave. and Raymond R. (parts sales manager) sold me the bulb and installed it for me. He politely refused the tip that I offered and told me it was part of the service.I worked retail for many years and its great to see motivated sales people.
This autozone gets a poor rating from me because of one sales rep who was unprofessional, near rude and intensionally walked away several times while I was trying to ask questions. I carried my battery in to be tested. The young lady that assisted me was polite, and helpful. She spoke in a professional tone and was very helpful and provided details as to what was needed for my battery. I left it for 45 minutes while it charged. When I returned, she was assisting someone else but the guy that saw me their earlier, asked if he could help me. I stated that I was back to pick up my battery BUT before I could finish the sentence, he rudely cut me off by saying the battery is no good and then walked away. I called him back as I wanted to ask questions and he appeared to be too busy or not interested in whatever I wanted to say.It took 3 attempts just to get some kind of answer from him as to cost of a new battery and warranty information. Being a CEO of a company and a experienced sales rep and customer relations person, I found this behavior totally unacceptable. In closing, I feel that its sad that our children (young adults) are not being trained to properly and professionally talk with customers. If this review is monitored, I would suggest that management invest time into training and maybe even hiring those who have past customer service experience. My rating for this store would be a 8 but this experience has caused me to give this experience a 3.
Its ok. Since AutoZone is one of the few parts places still in business, its pretty much the place to go when you need something. Expect parts to be overpriced unless youre purchasing an item thats on sale. The staff tries to be helpful, but theyre limited by their knowledge. Depending on when you go, expect a crowded parking lot and some unsavory characters. Be careful pulling out of the parking lot; it leads straight to Flatbush ave, and your view will invariabl6 be blocked by an illegally parked u-haul truck or large van. All in all, its ok if you need something in a snap.
Sold me freon that wouldnt fit my car. Paid the counter guy to just to spray in the freon. After wasting half the container he said it was the wrong kind. Refused to return my money (he picked out the can after asking what kind of car I had) he wasted a lot of my money. Between the freon and what I paid him I was out about $70. Even took pictures of him doing it.
Terrible...Didnt have what I wanted or just couldnt find it. In there for 10 minutes only 1 other customer and not one of the associates ever asked can I help you find something. Not sure if you consider A auto parts store such as Autozone a retail but I do think its a store that would benefit from some type of customer service. Sadly this is why so many retailers / stores are closing and people are opting for online, hey if your not going to be asked or greeted why not deal with your own computer instead.
There appeared to be two employees in the store beside the security guard and they were all on their cell phone not being attentive to the customers. I asked one a question about an item I was looking for and it took him a moment before he looked up to answer. Was not helpful.
Its decent place 2 go for certain things 4 yure car, but I wouldnt recommend buying brakes from them , there very cheaply made ,if yu need brakes 4yure car if yure on a budget yu can go there, but I would highly recommend going 2 the dealership 4brakes or go somewhere else
The store is ok the parking lot is a hot mess , dollar Vans parked all over the smell of urine , guys doing repairs in the lot , over flowing garbage pails ... I used to like this store because it closest to my house... but I have to go else where because of the conditions listed
I walk in the store theres one other person short lady looks like a manager one of the guy stand in the front no one not even greet hello after about 3 minutes standing there remember theres only one other person there and its Black Friday the first thing they say to me is you ready to pay lol is this a joke this is Black Friday no hello no nothing when I need it was behind the counter they were so nice 2 the white client not trying to make this about that the store will not help you and doesnt even want to talk to you maybe its because its on Flatbush or maybe they need to clean house and get rid of those people who work there because yes this is a corporate store and theres Pep Boys not too far away
Horrible, very unprofessional had me waiting 20 min to check my engine light and they never came out to check it it was 3 customers in the store and i was next but once 5 more customes came in now they said i had to wait for them to be helped very bad management 12/28/16 afternoon shift

2022-07-21Younger workers try to upsell you on parts, and dont tell you that there are other available parts. For instance, they will sell you K an N air filters, and not tell you that there are also cheaper air filters available. Marium is the only one that doesnt do this, and she impresses me with what she knows.

2022-06-21Worst Auto store to go to. The workers don’t care to help you. When you ask for help there really rude. Also the manager is a complete a$$. He refused to take an item back even when I had the receipt. Told me I had to go somewhere else. I bought it from them two days ago. Now I need to go to another auto zone across town to return my items. SMH

2022-04-08Some stuff of Flatbush location is rude and unprofessional. They cannot be allowed to work with clients, only with garbage bags. Looks like he is mad of people, his job and his life.
