Had an issue with my battery/alternator that was giving me unpredictable starting problems. I brought my truck to them unannounced for the free test and they got right on it. They did a couple of different tests, charged my battery, jumped it, all while allowing me to wait inside on a cold day. Everyone was extremely nice, from the manager to the girl behind the counter. Mark was tremendous as he diagnosed my problem and installed my new battery. I was saved time, money, and hassle because of him!
I needed my headlight changed, the gentleman who helped me was awesome. I think his name was Mark. It was very cold day and he told me stay inside the store while he fixed everything for me! I really appreciate all his help. And the manager Joe is always very helpful and knowledgeable. I love the Owego Auto Zone!
My battery died tonight. Mark helped me out immediately on this cold night! He installed the new battery within 10 minutes!! I truly appreciated it! Thank you Mark!

Always great customer service and they make sure I get exactly what I need. The one time I got the wrong thing (my mistake) they returned it for me immediately!! Would highly recommend the knowledgeable and friendly staff!
I brought my old battery in to begin with the person behind the counter was friendly but not very knowledgeable to say the least. I told the individual the make and model but the person still got it wrong and gave me the wrong battery so i had to make a return trip to get the correct one.
Mark, Christopher, and roger are the off your best employees. They are the most helpful, friendly, and go way out of their way, above and beyond to help people. Christopher helped my grandson and I fix our rotor do we could get home in the pouring rain....
Buy yoursupplies for a brake job over several days (4 Days X $110) to earn 4 reward points instead of 1 big ($440) purchase and only getting 1 reward point. Food for thought.
Their recommended parts tend to be different than what you might need, cost-efficiency wise. Its not much more, and it usually works just as well. Go in knowing what you need and its a fairly quick process.

I needed a low beam headlight replaced. The young man who sold me the bulb came out and changed the bulb for me. Nice people working there. Very polite and helpful.
I have been purchasing parts for my cars from this location for about 2 Years.The main reason I keep going back is that Dean is very helpful with his vast knowledge of Automobile Repair and actually really cares about the Customer ,Ive not been dissapointed. Great job to Dean and the Team Here...JJ
Longer hours than most local auto parts store. Dont count on a quick in and out. Between the customer questions and the parking lot services you may be in line a while. Reasonable staff as well as a decient inventory for the location.
On 1/30/19 I went into AutoZone in owego too purchase a drive shaft the total was 426.56 cash they told me that the part would be in on 2/1/19. Today 2/2/19 I went in too pick up the part that I paid for the proceeded too tell that my part was not their. They figured out why it was because it was automatically voided by the vendor for no payment although I paid cash for it with a receipt saying that I had. They then had too return it too order another which I will not get now until 2/5/19 if it comes in on that day. Without 4 wheel drive I cannot get out of my driveway so 7 days later I may or may not be able too get out of my driveway. I will not buy anything from this AutoZone again I will go too the Ithaca AutoZone 20 minutes further from my house so I can be helped by Gordy Nash.
This is AutoZone in Owego NY. Tioga County. Small area with 3 police departments; there’s Owego City Police, Tioga County Sheriff Department & a NY State Troopers Barrack too. Personally, too many police for the size & population of the area.My Auto Zone experience, late summer & when things go wrong, it’s always at the worst possible time. It had just gotten dark & I notice . . .my low beam light was out & it was just before 8:30 mp. I had just realized the bulb in the clove box wasn’t the correct bulb; bc I removed the headlight assembly & very different bulbs.I decided to make a break for auto zone. Honestly, I really wanted to go to the NY state owned Tioga Downs casino.~~~Here’s why 5 stars! ~~~ (All 5 are bc of Kevin!)***(star #1) . . . .I called AutoZone & a kind young man, Kevin, a knowledgeable employee answered the phone. Due to the time (store closing), my small size, driving in Owego NY (police central) & all details...Kevin pulled the part ***(star # 2) . . .& promised to wait for me ***(Star #3). . .As soon as we hang up, w/in 2 minutes, I’m at a crossroad with an officer to my right. I knew exactly what was going to happen, I’m getting pulled over & yes, that is exactly what happens. There isn’t much time left now before the store closes.I’m really worried I’m going to miss the parts store, I quickly explained to the officer what I was attempting to do. The officer (wish I’d gotten his name), ran my info (so fast), he was back to my car w/in 2 minutes.To top it off, the officer gave me an escort to the parts store! That’s a first for me.I get to AutoZone at 2 minutes after closing and there he was, (star #4) Kevin, waiting for me as he had said he would. I purchased the bulb & Kevin asked if I needed help. 🤨 Very sweet but kindly said no. Kevin insists on waiting with me to ensure my safety. Which I sincerely appreciated! (star #5)! Depends on whos helping you determines if you get the right part. I came here three times in just a matter of a couple of hours cause each time I got my part and got home to put it on IT WAS THE WRONG PART.
Had problem making change for a 100.00 bill after waiting and waiting thay had no workers its this way every time you go in and if you call if some one dose pick up the phone you are asked to hold vary bad service and getting worse this is the owego new york store

Alot people complain about parts from here but little do they know its all coming from China napa the dealer where ever you go its China. Life time warranty on parts is amazing.

I was at the store at about 8:00 and the cashier said cash or charge. I was literally holding the card in front of him. The guy was also very rude. I would not recommend this store to anyone.

Good place to stop if you need something for your car or the check engine light is on and you want to know why. Never pushy but always helpful.

2022-03-09Sarah is by far one of the most dedicated parts people I have ever delt with. After calling 6 different parts stores and having no luck finding what I needed she found it within 2 hours. She went out of her way to call me back and let me know the good news. She also went out of her way to make sure that she got the part to her store in a timely manor. Thanks again Sarah! Your Awesome! Without you I would be stranded in this nasty snow storm.

2021-12-04Our battery died on our way home. We got our van jump started and went right to Auto Zone. The gentleman told us what battery we needed and he replaced ours in minutes. Very kind and helpful. We appreciated his knowledge and help

2021-10-26There were 2-3 sales associates standing around doing nothing, I attempted to make eye contact in the effort of being helped, and they seemed oblivious that there was a customer that might need their help.Finally got someone elses attention. Got useless advice from the worker, also he insisted the part I wanted was $200, when I researched it at home and what I was going for was a $77 part...the guy would not continue to look on the computer...I went to another Auto Zone and promptly got the part I had in mind.
