Great store if they dont have the part they will get it for you , if they cant get it than its a dealer part. Staff is very helpful , I purchased headlights and they actually installed the bulbs free! Gave the guy a tip , I mean anyplace would charge you at least $20 to install them.
They provided the service I requested. The salespersons were professionals and friendly. However, I wished they were more helpful in explaining their checkout/line system. I did not and still dont understand their line system. I waited 15 mins or more to make a return, when someone entered the store, pickup their item and walked up to the cashier and received service without getting in line. It appears I was the only person in line that cared or didnt understand what was happening. When I voiced my opinion, the sale person told me it was not my turn and I had to go to a particular cash register...but no one was at that location. It still baffles me.
Very bad customer service. The person I was dealing with seemed upset that he had to return the mirror i just purchased. He asked me for my number then said I yelled because he didnt hear me the first time.He also seemed upset when he took a personal call while dealing with a customer. He refused to give me his name. I have been in customer service for over 30 yrs and this is the worst. #1 you dont argue or threatened customers. #2 I will never ever going to a auto zone again and that included my company.He should not be dealing with customers.
This location always provides great customer service. I called Hylan location to see if they would change headlight bulb at 6 pm because I didn’t want to get a fine and they said No because the cutoff time was 5:30 pm . I called Bay St. And right away their response was not a problem, come right over. I was in and out in 10 minutes with a new bulb. I greatly appreciate it.
I was served fine, but a gentleman came in to have a problem solved and I was somewhat online and partially not, he went to to counter and the man belittled him for cutting me. I felt bad even though I was next because I was in the process of looking at other items as well. That man went on and on like tht man was trying to rob the place
Came because I had a problem with my battery. Javier was wonderful. He checked my battery and discovered it needed replacement. Javier changed the battery and even tried to get me a coupon for a discount. Eventhough the discount was not possible he went above and beyond his job and made it a great experience
There is a white bold employee that treats really bad to the customers, ive been here a couple times and he is always in a bad mood or not willing to help. If he doesnt like his job I shouldnt pay for that. Customer satisfaction should be the goal to not lose customers.
The most rudest employees Ive ever met, Ask a simple yes or no question to a male employees and got a quick no before even getting through the question. Then the female behind the counter told me because I was getting a free service that I had to wait until no one was in the store which is understandable but the fact that she was extremely rude in doing so will make it so that I will never return to that auto zone again. I strongly suggest anyone in the Bay street area to go to hylan boulevard or go somewhere else or do-it-yourself because this place is for the birds...
They lied and tricked me into buying a product that I had never bought before. I purchased break pads, and after looking up my account they told me that I if i purchased the gold break pads i would be able to bring in the old gold break pads that i had in my car... i came in the next day requesting my refund, and they told me that they made a mistake on their end when they looked at my account and i would not be able to get a refund. this isnt the first time they make these mistakes.
Stay away. These guys, usually two on duty do not care wether you buy r to and wont help you unless you push them. Unless you are assertive and may be a bit nsty you wont find it here unless you can help your self to it.l went back on Feb 26. Wanted to see how things were. I need them because they are close to me. I went to get a headlight for my car, the one from Amazon was the wrong commendation from their computer. So I went there with the bad head light. He told where it was and the number to look for. He didnt come over because he was handling the register with a lady sitting behind a monitor. Whatever she was doing she did not want to be disturbed. But the gentlemen at the register who told me where you find it made sure I picked the tight number. I just needed the bulb not the casing but the one he suggested was $28.95 a lot more with the casing. I decided to take everything. He was insured aether they had only the bulb. I figured a new one wont hurt. I appreciated the attention and being sent to the right product. My car us got two eyes now.👀A good experience 1-10...a 7.
My automotive technician was polite, prompt, knowledgeable and not overly aggressive to sell me the most expensive part but something that was of sound quality and comparable. He also acknowledged the discount extended to a city employee. (But it is at the discretion of the manager on duty, which is understandable.)
Anytime I need anything here these boys always have my back. They remember faces well and will check in on how your repair went the next time they recognize you in store. I have been going to this location for years and will continue to be a loyal patron of this location. Thanks guys. Im sure Ill be in soon with another SAAB story or Range Rover melt down!!! Always something.
I work a hundred yards away from the store but hesitate to go in it because every time I go in that store there are about three or four workers and even when I am the only customers I still stand there by the counter for three to five minutes before anyone even acknowledges your existence in the store. Horrible. One day I was in that store and the salesman was in the middle of helping me when all of a sudden his friend pulled up outside with a car and he told me I would have to wait he has to help out his friend. So I just walked out of the store.
I went into the store on Bay st at 9am today, my front plate was about to fall off. I got the screws but the attendant wouldnt help at all in putting it on even with the store empty and me being a elderly woman. But the man on line in front of me he offered to help, I just thought it was wrong
The guys are helpful for the most part.. The women on the other hand at THIS particular store have very bad attitudes. They treat u like youre stealing & never answer any of your questions without giving u a problem. Sometimes I drive all the way to Hylan Blvd or Veterans Rd Autozones just to get treated with a lil respect while purchasing items for my cars. If I wasnt a customer for over 20 yrs in many states I wouldnt ever shop at your establishment ever again but I know this is rare because your other stores have people with great attitudes
Absoultly the worst AutoZone ever they stress you to come in an pay for the part before they order it , even after the fact the truck does not arrive as advertised god knows when I will get my car back toghert because AutoZone fails to keep a decent stock of common gaskets for common cars on NYC streets really a joke
Customer service here is terrible. Employees were talking amongst themselves as I Waited at the cashier to pay for a few items and no one came over nor asked to help. I asked a younglady if anyone could charge me and she mumbled and walked away. 5 workers and 3 customers including me in the store ? Unbelievable...they get paid wether I shop there or not. Thats part of the problem...never again

2021-11-10I wish I could give them 10 stars. The manager Javier and his team went above and beyond to help me when my car died in their parking lot. I had ny car towed 4.5 hours after it died and he stayed to make sure I was fine until his shift ended. This place is amazing!

2021-11-19The guy who handled my online order was not trying to work with me. Continued to tell me he couldnt process a refund for a product I didnt want anymore. Im mad I dont remember his name, but hes an older Spanish looking gentlemen, salt and pepper hair, Im 511 so to me hes short. Before I came to the store I told him I didnt wanna wait for the oil, so he played with the computer instead of processing my return and wouldnt let any else help him do it. So I had to call customer service and get the refund done in less then the 20 min it took me to tell him I would not come back.I left the order number in the pics just incase the company wanted to look into it.

2022-01-31Customer service is horrible had a hard time exchanging a battery that had to be charged every time I turned my car on.My husband took it back for an exchange and they were very rude to him and told him they could not exchange it with out charging it so he left and I took it back.This by far is the worst auto zone I have ever been in. Staff are very unprofessional and will watch a women struggle with a heavy battery out to her car.While there are no customers in the store while standing there watching behind the counter doing absolutely nothing.The sales man Nate was very rude and needs customer service training.I have been to this store several times and each time I have received mediocre service but this last visit was by far the worst.

2021-08-31Atrocious service by this AutoZone location. I would never go there.So, my car was brought in tonight with the Service Engine Soon light on. The staff refused to use their code reader, claiming that the light meant the oil needed to be changed. I think they were just lazy and didnt want to work much before closing.In any case, why would anyone go to an auto shop like this? Ive personally had great service from other Auto Zone locations! This is the first time anything like this has happened that Im aware of.Id give zero stars if I could; Im at a loss to understand how they even deserve one.ADDENDUM:My car was brought to another Auto Zone later that same night, one on Hylan Boulevard, and their staff took the time, despite the late hour, to pull out their code reader and hook it up to my car. Thanks to them for that. Ill have to write them a positive review.I have had good service, or at least they have made the effort, every time Ive been there. It is the Bay Street location that I will avoid from now on.

2021-05-30Wonderful staff. Need window blades. Staff picked out the correct sized and saved me from a bad choice. Then a staff saw me struggling to install, he came and popped out the old and install the new. This on a rainy day 5 stars all day.
