Manhattan can be a difficult expensive place to handle simple auto needs but thanks to this Bronx AutoZone branchs staff, my cold dead 8-yr old battery was easily managed. Parking lot, quick friendly service, free battery testing, product choice (I got Duralast Gold with 3 year warranty), and free battery replacement service. Carlos also used penetrant before removing nuts, cleaned and greased the terminals, added new felt washers at no charge. Whats not to love?
The staff is a little short I had a return and I had to wait 37 mins for service, the staff sucks the cashiers dont want to help you here @ 1551 river only ring you up every body ordering a part I have to wait just to return one little item I would rather order out of country then to come back here
I am amazed by their way of operations. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Ive been there couple of times and I am truly appreciated how great their customer service is. Kudos to store associate Emil Alvarez helped to me select the appropriate battery (which he also installed in my car), and brake pedals for my vehicle. Keep up the good work you guys are doing for the community. 🙏
This Auto Zone is awesome!!! Me and man usually would go to 149th 3rd avenue. Everytime we go there, they dont have the item. So we end up coming to this location at AutoZone and they never fail us!! Any product you need they have or theyll order for you and youll get it no later than 1-2 days!!! So now we by pass the one on 149th and come straight here!! The employees are nice and very helpful ❤️!! Thank you so much....
Really busy location. I tried calling twice before coming in but was left on hold too long to wait (over 15 min). I made the trip to the store and was able to get a new duralast battery. The battery itself works great. There were a good number of cashiers but just a huge line. Service is nice, I got everything I needed. They have a sign saying they are not testing batteries right now. Overall good service but good luck when trying to call.
The customer service that fixed my account was extremely helpful. and made a big difference in my membership. The store near my house wanted to get a new member issue because I have not been using the service for 3years I didnt have a car for that period so understanding
Went there today to buy a motorcycle cover had the item under the wrong price I tried to explain to the manager his name was John p about the item not being in the right place he got very rude and laughed at me to the point I had to open my account to show him I wasn’t broke he then gave me only 10% off the item need more professional managers never going back there again would prefer to go to another auto zone
Why should someone who already bought an item in another store needs to wait two hours in a line. Someone should be available to help those picking up order. It is not nice to have to way outside for item long time when you already did your line in another store. This will make your customers much happier.
Very well stocked and the staff is helpful with wipes, batteries, etc..some people dont or want understand the actual circumstances around us, but I saw an employee dealing with respect and courtesy; trying to explain a customer how and when hell be ready to help him.
Never come here again. Only three guests. Four people at the front desk work. I came to pick up and waited for 30 minutes. When it was my turn, they asked me to take my phone and check the order. Said to take it to me。now . But he didnt get it. Instead, he directly called the next person over to checkout. He should give me my things first and let me go. His thin boy seems to be called steven
The employees here are very unprofessional, running the place like a family hot dog stand. People come in and jump the line of they speak to them in spanish. I ordered an item and they didnt even send me a pick up email for over a week until I called, then they said it was ready for pick up. When I got there I spent over 20 mins with people jumping the queue. The attendant spent another 10 minutes looking for it.
Update November 2021. Batteries for Mercedes key. Chose the wrong one based on what the website said. Employees disclaimed saying website not as accurate as it could be. Called Mercedes, they told me which. Called Auto Zone they had it. Got there, employee recognized me, took the wrong ones back. Very helpful there. Just cant rely on yhe website for some specific items.Went again. It was 5:00 pm, very busy. Asked if someone could help me put oil I bought in the car. Cashier said no one available. Then took the oil, walked me into the parking lot, got a worker to help me. Just great.First time there. Good size parking lot, with an attendant, probably just making sure people go into AutoZone. Store is clean and neatly laid out so you can find what youre looking for. You can get help if you ask. Had several cashiers though I did wait for 10 minutes to pay. Workers seem friendly.
Very long lines. And it always appears to be only two people behind the register. One person cashing out, the other, looking up parts. While the other associations are walking around the store. VERY SLOW cashiers and workers. Feels like they dont care about the customers time.
Theyre OK, they are very busy with many local fix it garages in the area. However I did get all the information I wanted from a sales representative. He was able to help me in a timely manner and the rest of the staff were present and working. As opposed to some other locations where everyone always seems to be hiding. Theres parking on the side and is close to the train station. Will come back if needed.
This location is the most unprofessional place Ive ever been to. The employees there answer the phones so rude and place you on hold for so long when theres no customers. REASON I know that is because I drove there right after they placed me on hold they were in there on their phones and were listening to music smfh. Please hire some new staff that come to work. I wont be returning there ever.
They dont even know what they have in the store. I was referred there from another branch after an order I made was delayed for a month and I was told they had what I was looking for; when I got there after much back and forth between the staff it turned out they did not have it. Autozone seriously needs to work out their supply chain and inventory management.
Helpful.. I gave 3 stars cause they need to learn how do first come first serve not help people off the floor while my ass is on line and take them in front of me ... Two separate people did that. I still gave four stars cause they are still polite helpful and willing to find answers if they dont know... There selection is basic for such a big place but has what u need
The manager Carlos, attended me with a bad attitude, bad customer service, I do not recommend it, they wanted to give me a used Caliper, thank God I opened the box in front of them, and I could not solve my problem, I had already paid everything in Another store, autozone is supposed to be a company, not that each store has a different policy and service, I cant walk around NY in every autozone looking for my parts, because they are supposed to call first to confirm that it is there
Its convenient. My husband is a mechanic not to far, Chi Chi, he sends his customers there. You cant beat money back for for return of dead battery.You have to thank them for hiring anyone. Most of them know nothing about mechanic work. Click the computer what you want hope they get it right.Yes it takes a very long time tti get what you need because most of them dont know anything.I gave 3 stars before a woman who disrespected me and other customers, made it unpleasant maybe some coffee and next time I will give 5 star. Not to discriminate just giving description. A really short black woman im black gave us a hard time
Placed a few calls the same day they continue to answer and say Hello, can you please hold, they dont give you a chance to respond, just place you on hold forever and when they finally click over just hung up........ so unprofessional, they need someone to just answer calls if they cant multi-task.
This store is amazing, thats why I gave 2 stars. But the customer service, it really wants to make me cry or irritation. I cant see an amazing store that can potentially make very good business because I see that I lot person do go to the store because it has most of what customers need. But, just the waiting time in the line is 30 to 45 minutes, not a joke or exaggeration. The staff moves like there in a wheelchair, and I dont mean to offend people in wheelchairs but thats how fast they move. If you want to return an item, guess what? Yes, you do have to make the 40 minutes line again. Waste of time!!! If they would have better staff I would give 5 stars straight up!Just to conclude I have to go back and check why a counter personal charged me for something that its even seem to be in there website store.
It was yet Another disaster dealing with tryin to get a simple part at A.Z. on Boston Rd. In the BX. After an hr. In line, they didnt have the powers steering hose I needed. Pay for it n order it pick up in 3 days, they said. Well I was then sent to the other stores. I try calling to make sure they had it but after over 28 min I think, on hold, I just went. Fordham Rd. Store, nope. Jerome store. No but there I was told that at the other Jerome store by Cross BX. Exps. Way, they had it. 6 n a half hours to get a hose. By the time I got it done, the entire Sat. Was shot! This is why they get 1 star. And parking, at the AZ. Stores in the BX. Forget about it. Better off walking or being dropped off if u plan on dealing with them.lllIm totally disgusted with them. After 22 yrs. Im looking elsewhere for our parts, any parts, for entire family cars. I use to love the ZONE. Not any longer.
The employees and brand is fine but autozone could be better with faster-updated computers that will help the employees cut longer lines and customers frustration waiting 10 to 20 min for fast track items. Nevertheless, this particular autozone gets a 5 1/2 cause they were knowledgeable and went to the item I needed b4 touching the computer. Awesome!
I came to the store and I asked a light skin girl at the counter if I could check my check engine light so i can buy the necessary parts and after I made a long line she told me that they’re not checking check engine lights at the moment. I asked why she didn’t put up a sign si people don’t make that line for nothing and the manager, a young light skin spanish lady told me with nasty attitude “I don’t put signs and period”. How that lady with that attitude can be a manager. She doesn’t have any customer service at all.
This is the worse autozone ever, one girl, (Veronica?) always has an attitude. She messed my order up, and Ive now had to come back 6 times for the same parts. I should not have to wait in this line outside in the heat, for a mistake that has cost me gas, ubers (because my car is temporarily not drivable without that part, as my mechanic started the work only to realize parts were wrong/missing), and more than that time. She should not have an attitude, more than that this autozone should be shutdown. No I am not from the area, so I do expect a certain standard of service, and the people from the area deserve better. She should be fired. You choose if you want an education and want to make more money at an office job, you chose if you want to learn a trade or skill and make more money. She chose to do whatever she did in her life and end up at autozone, this autozone, and the least she could do (for herself, the customers and her team members), is be okay at her job and friendly. During Covid-19, this is how you treat customers?! She should have been fired yesterday, honestly never been hired. On the clock, off the clock, if a customer is asking you something (that again is your own fault), you respond, you dont walk away with an attitude. I should not have to come 7 times to get some rotors, moreover face an attitude when i come to pick up my parts.5th counter from the front, black medium length hair, wears a red shirt, light skin, often wears a back brace! I believe her name is Veronica!Oh and she wears her face mask on her neck, not her face! This is endangering the safety of herself and others. Not only behind the plastic shield, but also as she walks around freely helping customers!Need I say more on reasons on why she should have never been hired! A real disgrace, SAD!
Went to get a battery for my car with my son. And guy told me, he wouldnt change the battery. Asked for options, since if the car turns off dont turn back on. Told guy, to help me since Im alone and wouldnt be able to come back tomorrow since car wont turn on. He said to buy battery and take it. And my question is, who is going to change it, if I dont have tools or know what Im doing. Thanks anyways

2022-02-24Great went in for a windshield wiper that had flown off my car the day before because I had installed it incorrectly. The young man installed it for and was super nice about it. I was in and out in less than 10min. It was Early so I was the only customer there.

2022-04-18It was a pleasant visit. I went in with a few problems and questions about my car and I was helped by a young man that was very knowledgeable about parts, had great advice for my next steps to my solution. Everything he helped me with solved my problem it was quick and easy. I would recommend great people there especially the young man that helped me. Thanks Eric, if you ever read this is the rav4 guy.

2022-02-27This store got what you need but the staff is extremely slow to the point that it was becoming unbearable. I was not from around there, I was just passing through but needed to get some things in AutoZone after two minutes from entering the store I had my two items that I needed in my hand and it took me over 45 minutes to cash out. Ridiculous

2022-02-02This AutoZone is the best one yet I suggest you if you need help with anything to do with fixing or installing parts which would cost more with the ppl outside or Mechanics you should ask for Jeffrey he a wonderful employee that would help or give you the best advice with anything you need he did a awesome job on installing parts for my car.
