Bad experience,went to get my battery tested the employee told me my battery wasnt charged enough to test it, so I said ok dont yall also charge it too he said yes but I have to ask my manager are we doing that tonight ( its 5:30 pm) they close like 10pm,he went inside taking extremely long so I proceeded inside and I ask for the manager who then begin to tell me they do not have the tools to remove my battery,Im like what this store is full of tools, I can see he just didnt want to do it.I would of argued but I was tired, I wont be going back...
Customer service was terrible. The associate was obviously upset we walked in the store and had us wait for over 10 mins, we ended up asking him for help, he called a coworker over with an attitude. He kept giving us nasty looks. His coworker took care of our return but never entered it in the system and put the broken item we returned right back on the shelf.... Stay away from this store.
This place was not bad. The staff was very helpful. They retrieved the item I was looking for which happened to be windshield wipers for my 2015 BMW 328i. The staff even put the windshield wipers on for me. So that was very helpful. It’s tough putting wipers on my car. I’ll definitely come back here for some wipers.
Very Bad Customer Service I Purchased some car seat covers online went to pick it Up in this Store it was not Ready the guy did not even try looking for it. I had to tell him what part of the store it was they don’t even now what they are doing They only had one car seat cover I ordered two online and online it said it was ready for pick Up ,so I asked for a Refund . They are not Helpful to customers they don’t even smile they are like Robots, I’m changing my Autozone store Location.
Great service! Even though I was initially put off by the workers nonchalant dismissive attitude regarding my initial questions. However Christopher my final sales person was awesome! For that I would find myself back at this location its only Christopher will be my server again
Not Happy with AutoZone todayI replaced my car battery 6 month agoThat would be the 3rd time that I replace the battery the battery there are not Worst buying cause I purchased the battery in 2019 I believe at the end of the year or just before the year was out What Im trying to say is the battery that I brought there I had to be replaced Its not time but twice I hate to go to the 3rd time now a battery that was replaced six months ago die again can you believe it I strongly believe that that those are recycled batteries that Sold to you and me as NewI dont believe New they are recycles batteries and they dont want to Exchange it for another one not happy
I placed an order online to do curbside pick up, get to the store and call the curbside pick up phone number which is conveniently on the exit door.The first gentleman that picked up helped me and found my order but Im assuming his manager told him I would have to stand on line to get in the store to get my order. I dont have a problem standing on the line but I ordered online to not have to go in the store being that I knew I was going to be with my kids. They offer curbside pickup but they dont give it to you curbside.
HORRIBLE all the employees walk around an play with each other no customer service you have to ask them to help than they get mad! They stand around more than help an hide in the back, the white guard does more than them its like high school in this store! Not coming back no more i cant believe they still open the mechanics come an take parts without paying an fix the car right aside.
This Auto Zone is one of the busiest and one of the best. The staff is well informed and the managers run a tight ship. Everytime I go there the wait is minimal and the help is maximum. Went in yesterday to get a battery ; the salesman patiently went thru the best options and I got the one that works best for the van
My experience was terrible, I needed some help so I approached this kid and he looked to be about early 20s or if not younger, he was about 53 - 54 and his name started with an L, I cant remember what the full name . he had black curly hair in a pony tail, and he was being very disrespectful towards me. He was talking about smoking weed with his friends when he got off his shift while doing a poor job at helping me find what I needed. he was constantly on his phone, not paying me no mind. He kept getting off topic and getting distracted and I did not even end up buying anything. I highly recommend firing him and hiring someone who would appreciate the job and take it seriously because he for sure does not.
First off Customer Service is Horrible from the female cashier with the nasty attitude at store #5270 to the floor manager Chris who gave me the run around for 2 whole weeks over a starter that I returned for my core refund of $52 as per the purchase policy! Well they NEVER refunded my money and then told me they had to recreate the ticket for the return which means the previous cashier NEVER put the return through and lied to my face! Now I’m told to call the district manager! Not to mention they sold me a faulty starter which I also had to return and then purchase a working starter from AAP. This AutoZone Auto parts store #5270 are thief’s My 1st. And LAST time ever purchasing their! I will be going to Advanced Auto Parts from now on! And I had proof of my receipt and bank statement which showed the money was NEVER refunded!Update 9/3/21Spoke with district manager Manuel Diaz and was told he would look into it and if the store did not refund my core amount of $52 he would then put the refund through himself, still haven’t received a reply or refund!
I called for an alternator took my model and year of my car, put me on hold for 45 mins then I called on another line was put on hold again with out even speaking then when I drop the added call he Hung up on me. I called back he try to put me on hold again, I kindly stated that he already had me on hold for 45 mins and hung up he gonna start huffing and puffing and saying oh my God well we dont have what you need very nasty and hung up even after I let him know that I was going to write a review about his behavior. The only part of a fast and friendly service its the staff, who helped me out getting the parts needed for my car, the only problem this store needs to improve its on their cashiers check out, at time there isnt someone at the cashier check out.(AutoZone at 149th St and Saint Anns in Bronx) thats why customers get upset when it come to wait in line, this store doesnt have an specific person for checking out. Sometimes the person who is checking out is also helping other customers engaging on never ending conversation thats why I am adding this comment, hopefully it will help others or at lease will encourage them to buy online to be shipped or on curb pick up at the store, so you dont have to go through this madness.
Went for one part and Alejandra was taking care of she was able to assist me and went above and beyond for me sold me the whole package Rotors, grease, front and back pads, shoes.she had a smile the whole time and really great customer service the whole time. She was able to find everything in a timing matter and even ring me up. Not only was she beautiful but intelligent and patient. Defiantly looking forward to keeping business here now.
My experience with this store was terrible. The only bright spot in the entire store and transaction/experience was Justin. The requires the customers to stand outside and only allow 10 people in at a time, which is understood. However, they did not take into consideration the blazing hot sun of Summer and provide no cover for the customers. Additionally, I ordered online for curbside pickup. Justin gave me the order # but it did not come up online. I ordered the closest item and asked Justin to switch it out and charge me the difference. His manager told him not to do it. Then she got on the phone with me to tell me I had to cancel my online order and stand on line at the store and purchase the correct item. This is not customer service in a time where businesses are struggling. But, auto parts are essential and I can only guess the manager did not feel she needed to provide good customer service since they are gonna get the business anyway. I will not return.
I am currently going thru some car issues and I am calling around looking to see if there’s a auto zone that can assist me. Who ever is answering these company phone’s are nasty rude I will not be going to this one I rather Queens . The area is not so urban nor thee attitudes…
I had to change my review because something about the store I really needs working on is answering your phone calls and when you do answer don’t immediately put the person on hold before asking what they need I need to speak to someone that works in the back about a part that I wanted to order because I came in there three times before and I was given the wrong part and I came in with the part that I needed and they still gave me the wrong part I don’t get how your customer service works if you don’t deal with customers I was on the line for 46 minutes before I had to hang up because I kept getting switched to different people when I kept asking for a certain person very unacceptable this place You guys used to be more on top of your stuff but for the last couple years it’s been very hard to get on the phone with someone and the lines seem long the whole system needs to be revised
Horrible customer service and Horrible experience here always. Staff is very rude, take a long time and do not care if all lines are long and people are waiting for them a long time. This substracts customers rather than adding customers to this franchise. I will not come here to buy again.
I was looking for a new battery, and a staff member discovered that the problem was that my key Fob had lost the programming functions, and thats why I was having problems starting my car. He showed me a work around to start the engine. He saved the day.The 4 and not the 5 stars because of the long lines.
This AutoZone is the worst. It is totally understaffed. Only two people behind the register. They are working hard but why only two on a Sunday afternoon? Line is 20 people long outside as well, waited 30 minutes to return a car battery. One employee charging things and one helping with customer service. This is the only store on the planet that has returns at the same counter as purchases which makes no sense. The service guy has to look up things in the computer, then fetch them, etc. You go to Home Depot, the Supermarket or even target and they don’t make you wait on a purchase line for a quick return. The parking lot looks like it hasn’t been swept in a week. Definitely not the autozone location and service you’ll see on a commercial.
Pros:Staff was good. chill, professional for young kids. Try to have your parts number ready. Replaced a Duralast battery with phone #, less than 10 minutes if you dont count waiting in line. honored 3 year warranty, no hassle.Cons:Surprisingly busy for a wednesday night. Like a low budget Fast and Furious sequel.Bring your own flashlight/worklight and tools if you plan on DIY in the parking lot.Yes they rent tool but takes forever, and the freelance mechanics hang around the parking lot looking for work probably have more, but $$$. Bring gloves, water and paper towels and shop towels.Theres garbage all over place. Food and car parts. I dropped a plastic fastener but it landed in mystery fluid I said eff it, bought a new set because I didnt want to catch hepatitis or the rona.People swap out everything here. I saw seats and shocks/springs in the dumpster.
Long line. Security guy a total D head had people wait for a long time outside while people were coming out of the store and would let people skip the line instead of getting on line. When approached he would just be on his phone and close the door. He wouldnt let people in nd when he did it was like 2 at a time. The Associates inside were great though fast and knowledgeable....
Staff was very discourteous I asked for a part that he told me they didnt have although the computer said it was in stock I went to look for it myself and found it and Several like it. When I showed him that they actually had them in stock in case another customer need him he was like so just a fast-paced unprofessional unhelpful environment
Maybe after COVID this store runs more efficiently! Right now, they DONT. The ppl working behind the register were extremely SLOW!!! Sometimes even stopping to talk amongst themselves (full conversations). Nobody on the floor to help! Considering the line of customers that you have waiting to get in and expeditely get out, pls socialize when the line isnt wrapped around the store!!!!!!
Could confirm online orders and not leave you wondering if your items are ever going to be ready for pick up. Other thing area is already dangerous but they have no outside lights and there are always homeless people all around begin for money or annoying and making you uncomfortable.
A Total MessI was there to buy a battery for my car. The manager was tending to client and talking on her cell phone at the same time. Another employee was ready to fist fight with a customer. My salesperson was ringing me up and talking to others at the same time so much that she messed up. My credit card was charged twice and they wont return my money. Horrible experience!!! One positive note Raj was super cool and very attentive.
There was 3 employees plus a security guard working at 930 at night. It was like walking into night of the living dead in there. No one asked if I needed help. The security guard was more helpful and polite than the employees. One of the employees was mopping the same area for the entire time I was in there, one female was counting money while another was talking very lewdly and profanely about personal relationship issues. Completely inappropriateWhen I finally got help, the employee acted like he did not know what I was talking about and I had to pull up. A photo. Im sure they all hate to be there because it shows. If you need parts, you are better off going to another location unless you specifically know what you need. Terrible service is why people rather shop online
I called at 8:30 and was immediately placed on hold for about 20 mins. I hung up and called again and was placed on hold a 2nd time for about 10 mins. Then I waited and extra 10 mins called from a blocked number twice and the phone kept ringing. Horrible customer service. From now on I won’t ever utilize this business. I’ll take my hard earned money to advanced auto parts
I bought a battery today and asked the guy at the register to not charge me the core charge as I will be replacing it in the parking lot and will bring the old one back in a few minutes. He said fine. I replaced the battery and came back in with the old one in about 10 minutes and asked the same guy where I should put it. He motioned to the back. When I got home and looked at the receipt I noticed I was not only charged the core charge but also for some brake lubricant which I clearly never purchased. The rating should be -1 star, bad customer service should get you 0 stars, but getting robbed should be on a different scale.
I like this location mostly because is near my house. I own both a car and motorcycle, they usually always have what I need. It would be nice if they had more employees as some people have mentioned. One thing I would say I dislike is the people outside hustling can sometimes be very annoyingly persistent.
I had to wait on the same line as someone unsure of what they wanted. I was there for 20 minutes before I got to the register. Then when my item was found in the computer I still had to wait for a manager to sign off on it. The manager was ringing up customer. So I had to wait until the manager finished with her customer which was another 10 minutes. A special line needs to be made for pickups only.
I paid for one gasket on the website, i went to pick it up to the store and the employee told me they dont have in stock, i waited for 30 minutes trying to get my refund after that another employee try to chek for the gasket in the computer said they have she went to find it but not luck, you guys need fix your inventory to avoid wasting peoples time like mine
If you know what youre getting this place is like any other, walk in and walk out. But if you need help you need to plan ahead because theyre always busy. This is the worst auto zone Ive ever been too. When you walk in you encounter numerous derelicts asking you if you need a mechanic. Once inside, you get the feeling your in a concentration camp. There are two lines, one to order and one to pay. Why? Beats me. Made no sense. I will never go back there. Need to add the staff were all great, except the manager.
Stay away!! This location has become unsafe to even visit due to the homeless drug addicts that live right outside of the establishment. They leave in the morning to go get their drugs but openly shoot up herion for all to see from the early afternoon into the night. They even shower exposing themselves using a rig they built out of a fire hydrant. I didn’t feel safe leaving my car unattended in the parking lot even for a few minutes. The location was convenient for me but until local law inforcement does something I will be going elsewhere my auto needs.
I ordered 2 items on line and received an email that it was ready to pick up. When I went there a day later they had no idea of the order and basically told me they would order it and it would be there for 2pm today and walked away. The other worker said well call before you come back. I called customer service and the representative told me Mam their system was not up to date with the quantities but they are ordering it for you so you are all set. I said I have to complete the job before 2pm !!! He said well Mam mistakes happen and just tell your customer that and pick it up at 2pm. I said I do not handle my customers that way. He said well that is all I can tell you. Have a nice day and hung up!!!! Wow customer service ...yeah that is not part of Auto Zones company policy for sure!!!! Go to Advanced Auto Parts or NAPA or if I had just ordered on Amazon like I was going to I would of had it!!!! Ughhh

The parking was impossible. The line was super long the staff I called prior time me they had my remote car battery and they would help me change it when I get there the same staff member said said they didnt have a screw driver. At that point I said a auto store doesnt have a screwdriver really. Never again
Slow service not adequately stocked. I truly hate coming to this location. The employees seem to hate their jobs I have a battery warranty with them needed a replacement and they told me the guy who replaces them is not around. I ended up having to get a guy on the street help me do it. Just went back again on April 27 2017 for a battery test after a jumpstart from Roadside assistance was told their battery reader was broken so they directed me to another location. Incredible!!!! Where do they hire this staff off of Craigslist!!????
Many auto shop stores have disappeared from the Manhattan side of the city. This one is the closest one in the Bronx , therefore a busy one. Although it has plenty of staff, they are not well organized, there should a better way to improve the flow of customers so that your visit is shorter and less time consuming.
This store is the worst store to shop parking lot is always full with mechanics working on cars so when you pull up you can’t find parking and then when you go inside the store every single employee including the manager is on the cell phone talking to their friends instead of working so you therefore you there for hour for five minute thing worst store ever
Bad customer service, i called to ask if they had any car covers in stock for an SUV before I make the initial drive and their response was there is no one here ro verify if any are in stock. Really? Im trying to make a purchase that pays your company and your salary.
Probably the worst Autozone of all! I was racially profiled & accused of shoplifting by Rosiana Acosta which is an assistant manager supposedly. She is very unprofessional, rude & disrespectful & embarrassed me in front of the others around so be aware people. These people also have terrible customer service skills, there’s never anyone around to help you. Who hires these people?
This is the worst auto zone I’ve ever been to the customer service is horrible, not enough staff to accommodate customers lines are long and move very slowly I hope never to visit this location again the owner should be ashamed of themselves to treat customers like this
WARNING: As a customer that spends a ton of money buying at AutoZone, i Was very disappointed with an item I brought and could not return.I brought a power steering belt for one of my classic cars. Finding out it didn’t fit I try to return it. When returning, the Employee Told me that the belt # did not match The packaging #. Of course I didn’t notice this When buying the belt as this was the belt that was recommended for my car.I was sold a belt in a different packaging and I was unable to return.Even though I am out of pocket A small amount, a customer should not have to be comparing part numbers with packaging numbers when buying a product from such Company.
Called this store from Fordham store for a part I was told would be put on hold to the side till I got there arrived an the part lines up the isle thinking I have my part on hold I goto the pay register to move things faster & am told I had to wait in line for a part thats on hold while the employees disappeared into the back leaving one to help the line. After 25mins of waiting my turn for the part placed on hold.... No part to be found. Pissed.
I have been waiting on the phone for more than 10 minutes for a quick answer to a question. I called and stated what I needed and the person just told me please hold but heard my complete question. Then somebody else answered to just say can you please hold I said no and they put me on hold anyway. I will be calling another Autozone right now but please fire the current employees today who work customer service or the phones because they dont know anything about customer service and are probably just avoiding phone calls. Also I just called the one in Brooklyn and answered right away. Maybe use those employees to train the current ones here or replace them all together as suggested.
They have a security guard outside in the parking lot with a gun directing people to parl or to leave if no room because its Very difficult to find parking,due to their parking lot can fit the max of like 8 cars in a big place like NYC thats bad.but staff inside is welcoming and
I give this owners on 3 stars for the staff and the help that you get inside but outside is disgusting, with people trying to fix your cause and its just a bad spot, people trying to take advantage of customers coming out of the store, I would not recommend anything but buying from auto zone. Dont let anybody outside work on your car.

2022-05-26Always my go to automotive parts and how to do myself advice shop. Yes, the personnel at AutoZone tell you how to repair your vehicle with step-by-step instructions. If youre up to it and mechanically inclined you can do plenty on your own. My car haven.

2022-06-04Im pretty sure everyone is disappointed with how crowded the parking lot is and with the type of people in the parking lot in terms of their appearance, however, let us not forget that to pass judgement one must first be perfect! I get that for clients a professional environment is vital. But the area as a whole would have to be looked at if you asked me!Additionally and in Specific, the mechanic in the lot by the name of GREEN EYES is an amazing human at heart and also an EXCELLENT MECHANIC!! He has worked on my car multiple times for different situations leaving my car good as new! Not too often do we find an excellent mechanic who is also honest! That goes a long way these days.

2022-03-14If I could give a 0 star I would. This place would be a lot better if they had a different manager. The current manager, Savanah, is very rude and nasty. She does a horrible job. She always has an attitude and is very disrespectful to customers. It is ashame as a customer to see how she treats her employees in front of everyone. Do not recommend this place to anyone for this reason. Very toxic environment! Many other auto zones with better management and customer service out there…

2022-06-07Service is great. Prices are reasonable, but the outside of the business looks like third world country. Management should get the outside cleaned up. Since I wrote this, there is still no accountability to clean up outside.

2022-02-08This Auto Zone had garbage all in the parking lot. We could even park in the lot. We had to parked in the street. It was very Dirty. The clerk act like we was wasting their time. Next time we will visit another one. 149th. Street Auto Zone is not for us.👎
