AutoZone Auto Parts in other cities:
So grateful for this place. Met Jose a mechanic with great skills and Phil who introduced me to Jose and he scarred me telling me it was one thing but it turned out to be something so less than an Alternator so instead of $300 it cost me less than $100 including labor. Jose is awesome, humble and even after fixing the thing that made my check engine light and the battery light go off at the same time, he then helped me by putting antifreeze in my car.The staff is knowledgeable and very patient because I was near tears my cars steering was off so I had little ability to steer and was stuck on the Deegan. When I left my car was purring like a happy cat.
Went to this Autozone early this morning for literally two screws. There was more that 3 workers and only one on the register. The other workers weren’t doing anything. The line was ridiculous. When I reached the register, I wasn’t greeted. She didn’t even speak to me. Worst experience ever !
4 stars because the experience was a lil bumpy. At first the part I ordered online never showed to the shop after 3 days. BUT Charles the supervisor made sure it was delivered the next morning. He called me directly even before I got the email stating my part was available for up! THANK YOU CHARLES FOR YOUR HELP and excellent customer service.
My wife and I lost battery power on our way home this afternoon. To say the least, we were stressed out and worried about getting home, with our baby in the backseat. We ended up near the 181st store in Jerome, Bronx where we were assisted by shift manager Clarissa who was unprofessional, rude, and unhelpful with our situation. We attempted to get a new battery, because based on the mechanic in the area were we went, the battery was depleting itself and needed to be changed. Clarissa stated that there was nothing she could do about our battery issue, because her meter read that battery was working. I explained that battery shows its working because we had just jumped it at the mechanic to make it work to move the car. Clarissa was so rude to tell us to take our battery and go, because there was nothing she could do. My wife had to request that she at least try to charge battery. She made my wife who was at the store alone carry the battery to the back area employee area to have it charged. Mechanic came in to the store and told my wife that it made no sense to charge a battery that was depleting itself, and that she needed a new one. He told her to go to another store where the staff would be more helpful in understanding issue. My wife and I had to drive to the East Fordham Rd store where we met Cathleen Vega. This girl takes her job seriously. I was so grateful and thankful to have met her today. She is professional, courteous, has active listening skills. She is the reason why we are rating the East Fordham road store a 5 star. She was able to understand our plight and took the time to listen to our concerns and even suggested further processes that might help with any future car issues. She went out of her way to carry the battery to the car and change it for us, unlike Clarissa who made my wife carry the battery. People like Cathleen are what makes Customers like myself-repeated customers. If I would have received the same service as the one received at the 181st Jerome store; Autozone would have lost all of my future businesses and I would have made it a point to tell others not to shop there, but instead to go to the competition. Cathleen really made an impression on us and helped resolve our problem.
Store #5272, where to start? Parts Sales Manager Cathleen Vega is one of the most helpful and knowledgeable representatives I’ve seen at an auto parts store. The service you provided insured I will never go to another shop again, AutoZone is the only place for me. Not only did she have answers for all of my questions but the service aspect was clearly evident and she did not stop until I was completely happy. This is evident of all the staff, not only her and they are clearly doing something right, here at this location! 5 stars I recommend them!
Their service was so much better only few years ago. You could actually save a lot money when buying things here and get someone with good hands install it for you. I think those days are gone and now they make you feel the buy and leave feeling that never been here before.
The help is awesome but the inventory not so hot. If it wasnt for Juan I wouldve been in a bit of a pickle. He was beyond helpful and resourceful. Also, Autozone supports the troops with 10% off all purchases. This location also has a parking lot which is convenient if you need any work done. Theres also a street mechanic who is helpful nearby thatll lend a hand and tools if need be. Just make sure to tip him as a courtesy (not necessary nor did he ask).
Super slow lines all the time. Too few parking spaces for the demand. Never enough employees working. Not there fault as customers pull employees out into the parking lot to look at their car issue. They need to expand. Supply and demand is not balance. Too much demand. Not enough supply.
Obnoxious employees. Slow service at the counter. Employee argued with me about the part number for headlight bulb I needed even after I told him what the car manual said. I got home and when trying to replace the part I found out I was right. I had to drive back to store for an exchange. Same employee argued with me denying he gave me the part. Dont go to this store.
Staff is not to informative. These corporations hire people in certain fields that have no knowledge. Back in the days you walked in and got the help and knoweledge you needed. Now they just hiring anybody because they looking for a job. Theres more to stocking, ordering and working the register in auto parts.
I went there yesterday, sales person named Herman took care of me immediately, explained everything to me in great detail was very cordial and friendly, great customer service definitely will returned there , the one on Jerome ave near a McDonalds are not so nice and customer service was horrible so, Auto Zone on Fordham you guys should be given a raise and recognition for Job well done.
Went to Autozone get a new headlight for my car, and for the first time in many years, I was attended to within two minutes...which was impressive. I was served by a gentleman by name Ninth! yes, Ninth...an absolute professional. The model for my car wasnt available, but he recommended an alternative, and assisted in replacing the part. He proved to be very knowledgeable and patient.
Staff was not helpful at all when I went in. After finally finding the stuff i needed, with no help from the staff, of course... I was on the line for over 20 minutes to checkout... there were only 4 people ahead of me. Luckily, I was on a phone call for 10 of those minutes and that kept me distracted. Aside from that, prices are good, selection is decent. Just dont go if you have anywhere to be in the next 20-30 minutes.
This location is the worst and this year has been a nightmare. I walked in yesterday for a battery issue and the girl behind the counter was eating a big plate of food while asking me in Spanish if I needed help. I dont speak Spanish unfortunately so I was confused. She got frustrated because I didnt speak Spanish so she switched to English. This girl also wasnt wearing her name badge. She had long red colored wavy hair and tattoos on her left wrist. I bought her my battery to see if it can be swapped and she told me my battery is from 2012. I purchased this battery in January of 2018. I didnt want to argue with her about it because she was very unpleasant from the start so I asked if she can charge the battery in the back because I know thats a free thing. She made me carry the battery in the back to charge it. She said she couldnt carry it but she kept eating her food. It was the last straw for me at this location or autozone in general. Ive been to multiple locations and encountered lazy and disheveled employees. Ive never found myself writing a review for any place but this got me so mad, disappointed and upset that I hope something gets done about it. Going to an autozone is just not for me anymore. Pep boys has a better employee model and service structure.
A well mannered, respectful representative knew what he was talking about, helped me get the correct item for the make and model of my car. I was in and out of there in no time. Keep up the good work, think his name was Mason. Thanks Auto Zone. Good service is scarce these days.
Called for parts, the female employee that answered the phone put the mechanic, my husband and I all on hold, while on hold, I walked to the store which was 2 blocks away. The same employee was counting her draw to end her shift as I was standing in line to check part availability that we were all still on hold for. Tbt they didnt even have the part had to go way across town to another location costing me $35 in an Uber. If you dont want to provide customer service please do everyone a favor and dont apply for customer service related jobs.
I went to this Auto Zone today to replace my defective car battery...it has a 5 year warranty. So getting a replacement should have been free, quick and easy, but that wasn’t the case, At All!! From the time that I walked into the Auto Zone, the employees were very rude, unprofessional and disorganized. The cashiers kept skipping me on the line. After being skipped 2 times, I finally ran up to the counter. The Manager, Nicole, was standing behind it. I told her my issue, and that I needed help taking out my defective car battery. She immediately said that she couldn’t help me and called the next customer to the counter. Her reason for not helping me was “she didn’t have the time”. And she then told me to go back to my Machanic for help and purchase a brand new car battery again for the full price. Thankfully, a customer helped me take the defective battery out of my car and brought it back to Nicole’s counter for me (it took him only 5 min. to take the defective battery out). When I returned, Nicole pretended to be busy and yelled out to another employee, over my head in Spanish, to deal with me. She continued to talk in Spanish about me as she printed my new receipt out on sticker paper.I hope that this battery is not defective also, because I NEVER want to see NICOLE again!
I personally gone to different autozone locationsBut the Fordham location is by far the best one Ive been tooSo i was having battery issue early morning so i went to autozone in 181 in Jerome ( because theyre a block away from me)They didnt have the battery i needed so i decided to go to the Fordham loction and i was taken care by Charidy shes definitely amazing tech with great personalityNot only they had what I needed But this girl took care of me from start to finish She install my battery and cleaned my terminals she definitely gave me great customer serviceThanks charidy
Love going to AutoZone. Last time I went they didnt have what i needed, I told the manager she said she would hold it for me, when they get their orders later that day and i went back. The manager was holding on to the item, for me. That was customer satisfaction. Thank you AutoZone.
On July 5th i went to this auto-zone on fordham rd to purchase a battery for my car .I was taken care quick & fast... the manager Sara offer me free battery installation with my purchased . Other places actually charges battery installationThen I was AMAZED that the only person that was installing batteries that day was a female named chasitiy. She actually very good she installed my battery in less then 5 mins .I recommend this location
Please beware of manager. She wasnt wearing a name tag, but I can identify her as a fair skin, average height, short-black curly hair woman wearing a half sleeve tattoo, Hispanic. She was working on Saturday 08/12/17 at 8:48PM when I arrived. she does not make returns after 8:00PM, but could not refer to the store policy on this. There werent any signs displaying this information either. No apologies offered. Super unprofessional. Was able to make my return at the Jerome location that same night.
Bad customer service, I came in for a battery and after waiting in line for over 35 min the customer representative tells me I bought an awful battery and I’ll be lucky if it last me more than 90 days. The parking lot outside the establishment looks like a junk yard with all the mechanics doing side jobs right outside this makes it difficult for the customers to park and buy what they need
I asked a employee just to borrow a socket wrench so I could remove two screws from my plates and I would leave him my driver license and he told me we dont lend out tools..... Then I go to buy one and they do not even have the size ten socket I needed.. very disappointed.
I want to thank the employees of this Auto Zone. They truly understand what customer service is. Yem, Nicholas, Cathleen made my night. I went to 3 Auto Zone locations and I was told either there was no one to install my battery or the person who could is occupied and too busy to install my battery. I had my fiancé and 11 month old child in the car with the inability to start my car due to my car only running on a jump I received. I went up to the dyre ave store, Gunhill and boston rd, and 149th st locations. I actually bought my battery from 149 and was told no one can install it for me. Fordham will be the only ones who receive my money. I thank this staff for showing real care and helping me in a major pinch. This is what Autozone should look for when they hire. People who care about what they do
This is the Only autozone that has a Female Tech (charity) not sure if I spelled it right ..But shes very knowledgeable and helpful . I purchased a car battery and headlight bulb and she installed it for me for free .Shesa real bad ass & very inspiring. This location is awesome... thanks for the help
My visit and AutoZone on Fordham Road it was a good experience. Is so sad that i have to come to the one in Fordham Road when i live around the one in Gun Hill road. Its so sad to say that the one in gunhill Road there is no good customer service and most of the workers not all , but most of the them are hiding from the customers.
Came in today to buy a new battery for my SUV. There were apparently only two employees in the whole store, because thats what they were saying. The cashier attending us, one of the two people, didnt even know what a gel battery was. He just kept reading the description of the batteries to us. Every single autozone I visited before replaced the battery for me for free; these guys didnt even though what type of battery I needed or looked for. Whats worse is that I was stuck like 3 streets away and not one of them could come give me a boost to bring the car to them. Lastly when I decide to buy the battery and take it myself to the car, they barely had any in stock. Horrible, horrible autozone!! I would bet on a nearby grocery store to be more helpful with cars than the buffoons who work there!!!
Where do i start. the mechanics out side yelling at u as soon as you pull up. or the narrow parking where someones always hitting your car as they drive out.nothing is ever where the labels are placed. packages of light bulbs, fuses and tools taped up because some one is trying to steal them.nasty customer service long lines. none of the lazy workers know anything about cars they just know how to sell the parts and offer you stuff you dont need. the employees intimidate you into buying items of the month.they lie to you and mislead you about their products. one month stp fuel injector cleaner is the best and the next fallowing month they tell me Lucas injector cleaner is the best. Ive been to a lot of professional mechanics shops and they will not install autozone parts because their cheap quality, defect parts that will have to be replaced. autozone is so unprofessional that it looks like a fast food JOINT for cars. they never have nothing in stock they send you to another store stating that they have it when you get there they dont have it either. they order parts and they tell you to come in one day and when you go there they dont have the part.i rather go to taino auto parts on 168st then go to autozone where you become a slave to the zone.

2022-06-09I needed parts for a Honda Fit. I waited 30 minutes on the phone and they never answered. I tried calling many times after that, no luck. They definitely need a operator to answer the phone. Such a shame. I now do my business with Advance Auto in Bay Chester and they are the most attentive to my car needs and the prices are reasonable.

2022-06-30Place is ok, I used to go there alot and everyone was very helpful, but lately with new people working there, Ive gone couple times and asked a questions about a part or an item from inside store and no one knows anything, from my experience They need to be trained a little more and be more engaged. Instead of moping around waiting for customers to pay at the register.

2022-04-26I needed a break light for my car, usually my husband handles these things but sometimes a girl has to do it herself. Which of course I didnt have a clue what I was even looking for. I was lucky to get a staff member that was very helpful.

2022-03-25This shouldnt even be in the AutoZone family. I went to have my check engine light checked (like Ive done in the past at other stores) but couldnt even get in the parking lot. I thought to myself it must be packed so let me just grab some stuff since Im here and parked down the block. Upon looking closer at the cars in the parking lot none of them are customers, theres a guy washing his car, another cleaning his bike, a bunch of mechanics working on cars (like lift the car and go under), and so on. Once inside the store theres not even 5 people in it. There is no way that the employees are unaware of this. Stear clear of this store unless your looking for a street mechanic!

2021-12-07On 12/02/2021, I purchased a car battery. From past experience, employees of AutoZone help the customer install batteries in their car. The store manager asked an associate to help me install the battery. While the associate was looking in the battery inside my vehicle, he states that the screws connecting the battery terminal wires to the battery are not correct, and that he does not have the right wrench or pliers to unscrew the wires, in order to replace the battery with the newly purchased battery.I stopped by a friend (Sylvester) from DAS Auto Parts, located on 201 Tarrytown Road, White Plains NY, and he inform me that the screws on the battery terminals are the appropriate screws. Although, Mr. Sylvester was not an actual mechanic, he was nice enough to replace my old battery with the newly purchased one, and at the same time, he sprayed the connectors with Permatex Battery Cleaner, to protect the connectors from acid corrosion. Mr. Sylvester did not request a fee, but because he went out of his way, I gave him an abundant tip. Something I was expecting an associate from Fordham Rd. to do, and they didnt. Please train your employees, and equip them with the necessary tools that will satisfy customers.
