Most of the staff here arent friendly at all. The head manager didnt want to have a conversation with me. I suggest they all look for NEW jobs. The rep that changed my battery was the most engaging one.Out of all the auto zones that i have visited this is my least favorite
So the owner wrote in response to my review What can we do to get that fifth star? I guess that question is enough for me to give the fifth star. So what do I really think of the place? Well, today, I hit the door, and barked out Wheres the dry gas? ( Im rude.) One voice said What? (A bit slow, perhaps, like myself). Another said Aisle 1, left, all the way back, at the bottom. Sure enough, that is where it was. I was out of the place in 60 seconds, literally, (OK, maybe 90 seconds). Good enough for me. I did have a problem once when I COULD NOT figure out the line. A COVID-19, 6 ft separation situation; not entirely their fault. BTW, the price of the dry gas was $1.99. Bubble gum costs more. I was sure that they rung it up wrong. Im embarrassed to say that I didnt say anything. (I thought about it!) Anyway, I checked, it really is $1.99. (And it seems to work, BTW.)
I went looking for a fuse and showed the sales person which one I wanted. She gave me the wrong one, lucky me that I dont trust anyone and checked again and indeed was the wrong one. So it turned out they didnt have the right one. So I asked her where did they have another store and she said East Tremont and went about her business. So anybody here that knows the Bronx knows how far East Tremont is from point A to Point B ....so 😔
This place is over staff and no one wants to help me. And when I finally got someone to help me she didn’t know what she was doing or talking about she doesn’t know nothing about her job. Then I had to go back to return an item and they didn’t want to give me a full refund only partial.
My car had been sluggish to start in the morning so I went to another store to have my battery tested and was told it would not be possible. I came into this store the next day and someone was able to test my battery and luckily this was the case as my battery was dead at this point and I would have been stranded. Appreciate the employees taking the time to do this and offering the tools I needed to replace the battery. Thank you, - Mark
I had the pleasure of having employee Cynthia not only ring up my purchase items she also took customer service above and beyond and helped me gather the correct parts and items for my car and also advise good parts and gave details to why those were the best. Thank you again I will be returning
You would think when you order online pick up it would be ready but no you get no email saying your item is ready for pickup. You have to call and ask is it ready than when you get there they cant find or it takes 30 mins for all of that I could have purchased in the store. This is the 3rd time this has happened...Do better!
Manager very rude when I requested another battery because I purchased a brand new battery n I checked the prior day and it was only 12.3 so I returned it the following day to replace and the new battery was 12.6 resting n 13.6 on. The worker who check the old battery agreed its was 12.3. This so call manager I guess was starting to say something was wrong with my car n there was nothing wrong and my alternator tested at 14. He said will not replace again ,can you believe this when there is a warranty. I was a licensed mechanic 40 yrs ago n I know that at time battery laying around for a while can loss there voltage. So rule and I am a senior citizen. This individual needs to get training in how to treat customers. If up to me he would be fired... if I can give a zero 0 I would. He should be more professional and kind to the customers.
In my opinion this location isnt the best. They are short of staff and 2x they didnt have things I needed on hand. Once it was rotors and the other time it was break pads I believe. These are things that other Auto Zones go into and they are always there.There is only one employee who is throughly knowledgeable about the store.
This place is a joke. Nobody wants to work and will keep avoiding you. The guy that worked there had me waiting to check light that came on. Two females came in all of a sudden I see him walk out with them to check there car. They didnt even care that a guy walked out with washer fluid.

Service leaves much to be desired. Horrible disposition on the workers. The young man totally ignored us. We stood in front of him for a while before he acknowledged my son and I. Then, the young lady although somewhat helpful not very accommodating. Overall theservice sucked big time..
I came in to purchase some parts I needed ,I asked for help to have them installed , The store manager recomended Nates Auto right down the street from the store . Thank god for his recommendation , Nate and his crew really took care of my car and was more then fair with his pricing . Most shops dont like customers purchasing their own parts but that wasnt an issue at Nates . Thank you Autozone !! Thank you Nate
Jorge J (the manager) decide to take care of a person who walks inside the store instead of taking care of the people that he had in line. First come first serve. And than once I said I’m going to leave a bad review he grabs somebody who is doing something completely different to take care of me because he knew he was wrong.
Bought headlight and stoplight bulbs after asking a representative if they help me installed (which he answered affirmative), even joined the rewards program. Gave me a ticket with the parts numbers so I could get them myself from the aisle (which I found weird but did not have a problem with it). After the purchase was made I proceeded to ask a representative to come help me with the installation to what he replied that at the moment there was nobody to help me, that I needed to wait about an hour. At the moment there where 4 to 5 representatives in the store and about 5 customers. After figuring out how to replace both bulbs (thank you youtube) I went back because I need another part, all customers were gone, 3 of the guys were doing restock and only 1 guy at the register and nobody even bothered to ask me if I still needed help. Bottomline, I dont want to be a customer to a business where fixing the store is more important than the customer.
Purchased a DURALAST battery from them about 7 months ago. The battery stopped charging recently, took it back to the counter and was told that I have to buy a new one because it is too old. Their records clearly show when the battery was purchased, yet they refuse to take their battery back. Am never purchasing anything from them again. Advance Auto all the way!UPDATE 12/4/18: After taking my complaint direct to AZ management, they responded appropriately and professionally. They had one of the store managers call me directly and arrange to honor the warranty. I am changing my 1-star rating to reflect their efforts to make things right. I am genuinely impressed at their level of dedication to service, I only wish more large corporations were this attentive to customers needs.
Been going to this autozone for years and I always have a great time coming here. Matter of fact I was just here today and bought a few things. Bought some stuff for my truck since I needed to replace a few things and fix my license plate lights. The staff was very helpful and found the things that I needed. Thank you!
Im sorry, my last review was for the New Rochelle store. Honestly, since Im posting a review, my experience with this store was horrible. I called prior to coming and asked: do you sell headlights for my car and can someone help me with installation? The person on the phone told me, yes and they could help. I got there and I was nonplussed at their response when I asked about my car. The person said, were sorry, we didnt know it was a German car. Im sorry, but shouldnt you know that at an auto parts store? If it wasnt for Kiki telling me to try their New Rochelle store, Id probably give 1 star.
They lost me as a customer bought five wiper blades three weeks ago to him don’t work properly and was basically told wiper blade sales are final didn’t have my receipt but I had my bank card that I use and my rewards card they said that wasn’t good so for $15 wiper blades they lost me as customer Not the first time I’ve had trouble with them they don’t help me when I go in there so what’s the point
This autozone is one of the worst in the Bronx. The workers are slow then if you try to call you’re on hold for more then 15 mins you have to hang up and call back because they forget you’re on the phone.I ordered a part they said it’ll be in next day.... still nothing.......
Very good customer service. Brandon was very helpful and now my car is up and running again. Entrance is a bit tricky because even though the store is right on tremont ave the actual entrance to the parking lot is on seddon street which isa one-way street leading to tremont. Service was quick and they diagnose the problem with their high tech machines for free. Defineltly recomend this place.
Shame on you AutoZone! I do not recommend this place. They tried to sell me a damaged radiator. I should have known better when the box came ripped open. They should have not sold it to me. Rest assured I returned it, I did not want to risk getting that radiator installed to only have my car overheat and showdown on me later.Update: AutoZone customer service apologized but Im uncertain if Ill ever go back.
Went there 1/20/19 when my car wouldnt start in 20° weather. I bought a new battery, but they wouldnt install it in the car or loan me the wrench to do it myself. They also told another customer while I was at the register that their OBD tool was broken. Looks like they were looking for reasons to not do their job due to the cold. Theres plenty of other auto parts stores nearby. Avoid this one.
Its always a long wait, and the staff are always so reluctant to help you with the things they advertise they do, like change a bulb, or check an engine light code. The staff is usually just talking among themselves, cracking jokes and disregarding the long lines. There was ONE time I went and there was a coll, young kid that was very friendly, but Ive never seen him there again since then.
One of the stupidest systems they have in place. I contact them after going online for a starter for my car. The website told me that there was two available for store pick up ( keyword here is available) at the store in my neighborhood. I called them and informed the representative of the starter I wanted and I viewed it to be available at his location. I provided the serial number ands the name of the part. This was his response we don’t have it here, we have to order it and it should be here by Tuesday. I replied “ but you have it listed as available” . Now that is not what available means. What a horrible system.

BEWARE! I went in a couple weeks ago to replace my right low beam, upon being rung up I asked the clerk if they installed the lights and he said yes so I waited to get my light installed. The person who rung me up apparently didnt want to help me (as I watched him pick and choose whose cars to work with) so he passed me off to another employee who was extremely overwhelmed with work. I waited over an hour to get the light bulb replaced but initially I was just glad to have it fixed...or so I thought!A few days later ALL of my lights (both high beams and right low beam) went out excluding my left low beam!! I assumed there was just a loose wire and ignored it as I rarely drive at night. I went last week to get my brakes replaced at my mechanic and be informed me that THE WIRES CONNECTING MY HEADLIGHTA WERE MELTED COMPLETELY!!! The autozone employee put 100w light bulbs on my car which requires 30w! The extremely high wattage melted all of my wires which couldve subsequently caused an electrical fire. So not only do they have terrible customer service, they are obviously not trained well enough in safety measures to keep drivers safe!Its right around the corner from my house but I will never everrrr shop here again.

2022-07-04I went to the store in May, and the first sales associate gave me incorrect information regarding my windshield wipers. I approached the counter with the wipers I was informed to get-pick off the rack per first associate. Patrick said he wanted some information from me to check that I have the right wipers. Before completing transaction. I’m so glad he did, because they were incorrect. Not only did Patrick made sure I had the correct wipers he assisted me in installing them. WOW! Talk about wow service. Patrick is outstanding. I’m so glad that great customer service still exists. KUDOS to you Patrick for being a great person and going above and beyond. You’re an awesome asset to AUTO ZONE. 2022-06-12Great location very knowledgeable staff and more things for your auto than anywhere else. Usually is the first place I go. They hep you with your car battery and have tools that you can borrow so you can do a quick change or swap of small parts in the parking lot. Good job guys.

2022-04-20One of the best locations in the Bronx to shop at. They usually always have what I need for my 2018 Durango, but when they dont, I only wait a day or two for it to arrive at the store. I love their warranties. Nick is awesome. The best person in there. There is another guy that is also great. I believe his name is Daniel. He wears a grey polo shirt usually. I recommend coming to this location, especially if you are Bronx resident.

2022-05-22I am impress by the by how receptive, engaging and enthusiastic Mr. Sha was with me. Mr. Sha not only helped me with getting a battery. He tested it. Got me a new battery then made some other recommendations that a my own mechanic couldn’t even do. A true expert in the field. Thank you for your friendly and kind ways. If you visit ask for Mr. Sha. 2022-04-20Only Autozone I make purchases from, for my truck as well as my friends and family. If you need something, anything and fast for your vehicle this is the place, not only for the great warranties Autozone itself offers but especially because of Nick and Daniel and how helpful, knowledgeable and courteous they always are.
