Absolutely awful. I wouldnt even recommend it to my worst enemy. Heres a list as to why this place is so awful:1. Unprofessional & Rude Management:They would lose my personal information, as well as overcharge me, and then take weeks to return my money. They never learned how to communicate professionally, always snarky. When we moved into our apartment the electric didnt even work. Our fridge handle was missing, and the water faucet was almost falling off.2. Poorly Construction:I could literally hear my neighbor snoring every single night. The apartments just finished building and they are already falling apart.3. Zero PrivacyI didnt realize how important my privacy was to me until we moved here. There are people at EVERY TURN, always watching. Everyone who lives here thinks it is their god given right to boss everyone else around. There is no community feel whatsoever. At first, my husband and I thought Autumn Woods would be a wonderful place to settle down - we were so WRONG.DO. NOT. LIVE. HERE.This is the place for you if you enjoy overpaying for paper thin walls, zero privacy, condescending, unorganized, and unprofessional management.
I have two good things to say about Autumn Woods - one for each star:1. It is, unfortunately, the actual best Brockport has to offer.2. They evict the worst tenants (as in the coke-dealing, party-having, objectively bad neighbors). We were the first renters of our brand new apartment and we immediately experienced problems. Most of the time we lived with invasive giant ants. The features were not built for full grown adults, such as sufficient hot water for a whole persons 7-minute shower, or carpet that doesnt form a rut after 2 months of habitation. You can hear EVERYTHING your neighbors say and do. Even normal conversation levels will carry through the wall. You will be intimately involved with your neighbors, without choice. You will even know their waste habits because the dumpsters overflow often, it becomes everyones business.Speaking of neighbors, no one will clean up after their own animal. Be aware of that if you have kids you think will want to play in the grass.Community staff. One of the times maintenance was in our apartment, they shattered a family heirloom and tried to hide it. We discovered broken glass and, only when confronted, did they own up to it.These apartments are only good relative to the other options you have in Brockport where tenants go after they get evicted from Autum Woods.
I love my new apartment it is very clean spacious near Walmart and Wegmans and all kinds of places and restaurants. Beautiful apartment complex and Brockport is a beautiful town. All the neighbors are very nice very quiet everybody respeccts everybody. There is a workout Room a swimming pool its a wonderful place to live.
This is such a beautiful apartment complex, but unfortunately the experience was ruined by management. The lease means nothing until there’s something that benefits them in it. I was accused of breaking my lease (when I didn’t) because I confronted them for things they did wrong. Very unprofessional. I will be moving out when my lease is over.
So awful. horrible response time to any issues. ridiculous made up charges during and after our year there. apartment was said to be ready early, but when we go there to move in there were a list of issues that needed to be fixed. it is what it is for the price. cheaper than most but again the management is absolutely horrible. do not move in here. they make up reasons why they charge you things at move out that werent discussed during the walk through and try to squeeze every penny after for absolutely nothing. not the only one that has experiences this issue
Its a good place overall. It is NOT luxury apartment living as it states on their website, but the price and the location are good for people who live and work in Brockport; especially if you have roommates. In fact, you may find it to be one of the more cost effective places around. In typical fashion, the place has its usual set of issues one can expect from any apartment, but my experience was far from horrible. Some of the complaints that were shared by may of my neighbors (three of whom moved out at the completion of their lease) where that the front doors dont stay closed (but theyre working on it), the door knob gets loose as if its about to fall off (so maybe theres a connection?), poor sound proofing so youll hear your neighbors if youre not running a fan (in my opinion, insulation is average for an economical pre-fab apartment complex), the bills ware steep in deep winter and the heat of summer, mold and mildew issues are pervasive (but they did offer fans and I believe even dehumidifiers to some of the tenants who complained, which is generous considering landlords are not responsible for mold and mildew as per NYS law). The appliance selection is robust (washer, dryer, dish washer, microwave included), but those appliances didnt hold up well for me, personally. The first thing to go was the refrigerator motor, which makes loud noises intermittently. The bathroom exhaust fans overheat making a loud noises (both rather predictably). The heat/ac blower is loud and those blowers are on as often as theyre not during hot/cold months, which can get old if youre watching TV or talking to friends. The toilet seat and handle are plastic, the chain falls off the hook a lot. The shower curtain rods fall down frequently. If you call to complain, they will send someone out, which is cool...They pool is what youd expect in someones back yard; its tiny and was not open during my stay there. The rec room very small and not a replacement to a gym, but it will suffice if you prefer walking on a treadmill to walking outside. Be sure to go during office hours or itll be locked up. There are kids everywhere, riding up and down out front and so forth (I believe this is because its a family friendly place, but it doesnt have a play area for kids), so be careful when driving; especially when backing out. This complex is directly next to another complex that also has lots of kids who often wander over.On the plus side, I got to know a lot of the crew who were building the complexes. I enjoyed their company. The big boss is also very customer focused and always waves when he drives by. Its located near the village of Brockport and its very close to the canal.Be careful when moving out. The end of lease cleaning, replacement & repair costs spreadsheet has some eye opening, jaw dropping rates and in bold print the sheet states, These are minimum charges, actual charges may be higher. You can request to be present during their end of lease inspection, but if they find things, youre not allowed to fix them. So, for example, if theres debris in the catch tray of the dishwasher, youll be charged $35.Good luck there if you choose to live there. Im sure you wont be too disappointed...In sum, its an ok place, but it is not at all better than the surrounding apartments. What the virtual tour
2 year resident. The apartments are nice for Brockport, but thats about it. Poor insulation so you can litterally hear your neighbors snoring, talking at a normal level, and any noises at all times. Poor and fast building can be spotted all around the apartment. Doors not closing due to being mounted wrong, one inch gap in entrance door (litterally snows and rains into the apartment when closed past the weather seal), gluing light bulbs in, mold smells which theyve had to fix, various half ass build quality if you know what youre looking at. Staff here is constantly changing, theyre all incompetent. Dont bother requesting service or complaining about anything. Multiple emails and then youll go in and theyll act like they never got them. Even after going into the office and addressing various issues like neighbors throwing cigarette butts at your door, yelling and constant noise at all hours, parking on side roads and blocking driveways, dogs pooping everywhere and not being cleaned by the owner, Overflowing garbage cans, garbage being throw on the ground and everywhere, Nothing is addressed. Residents have free roam to do as they please. Once you try to address simple issues theyll just be rude when you walk into the office or act like theyve never heard of a problem. For a normal couple, we just want to sleep and work. We dont want to come home to inconsiderate neighbors screaming, vaccuming, and partying at 2am. Out of the 3 residents below us, 1 was normal and didnt have any issues with. Dont do It. For a little bit more money you can live in a town house, in a better town.
Management are CROOKS!! Our apartment was in immaculate condition when we moved out, but they claimed the carpet was ruined (we had pictures to the contrary) and they hit us with a carpet replacement bill of $1400 (even though the cheap, contractor grade carpet was not worth any where near that amount). Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for a place to live.
The build quality isnt the best, but by far the best place in Brockport for the price. For the people complaining about them coming into your apartment it is to perform maintenance on the heaters, washer/dryers, and other various recall maintenance, so you can ignore them as they are paranoid.
Horrible. They went into my apartment without any notice. They send workers for maintenance to apartments that didnt not request a service and if you arent there, they just walk in. Its there way of illegally searching your home. Everything is made cheap but theyre sure to get there moneys worth out of you. Do not move here.

2021-05-25My family of five and I have been living here for 5 years. I have been renting for 15 years and so I have had my share of landlords and grievances. The owner has been exceptional and the maintenance workers polite and professional. The grounds are maintained and the community is beautiful. We love it here.

2021-09-05We have lived here for almost two years and we absolutely love it! Our neighbors are wonderful and it is very quiet here. The rent is definitely fair for what you get. Highly recommend!

2020-09-21Overall a nice place to live. Thankfully had quiet neighbors. Often when requiring maintenance to our unit, it was not fixed and there was no follow up. The AC/Heat unit is extremely loud in Unit. Some of the office workers were unhelpful and rude, specifically when speaking over the phone. I always made sure to go down and ask questions if I could. Wish there was way to make online payments. Bonus was having cable included. During the winter, roads were not plowed until later on in the day and frequently iced over.

2018-01-26These apartments are okay, my wife and I lived here for a little over a year. They are very cheaply constructed despite being brand new. You can hear everything your neighbors say or do. Our door was misaligned and constantly let snow in, when we moved in the apartment was brand new, but basically incomplete and the AC & appliances didnt work. Theres a ton of turnover at the front office, so while I did find them pleasant to deal with, people never seemed to stay long. The fitness center and pool are undersized for the community, and theres absolutely no place for kids to play, so they play in the road, and their slack jawed parents will stare at you as you drive by, as though the road is for playing children and not cars. This brings me to my main complaint; they seem to rent to ANYONE. Our neighbors were constantly drunk, fighting, arguing over bond money, smoking marijuana, etc. which of course permeated our apartment as well. They were finally evicted so Ill give the management that, but you could have taken one look at these people and turned them away initially... No one seems to have much pride in their residences, there were piles of dog waste and cigarette butts everywhere. The garbage dumpsters were constantly allowed to overflow and smelled awful in the summer heat.We also had maintenance break some wine glasses that were on a rack on the counter while performing a service on our dishwasher, but it was never reported to us. I only realized when I stepped on a piece of broken glass they didnt pick up. I called and of course they admitted to it, but they didnt have the integrity to approach me first and thats concerning. These places arent terrible, probably some of the better ones in Brockport, honestly, but be aware of what you are getting.

2017-02-07We have lived here just over 4 months and love it. We have a 3 bedroom that is so roomy. Management is so responsive and has taken care of what few requests we have had. Rent is competitive--we moved FROM a senior complex because they kept raising the rent and their owner/managers were not taking care of capital improvements and repairs--the roofs were so bad we got leaks inside!! Furnaces never cleaned or checked in 4 years--that kind of stuff!! As retired volunteer firefighters, we are very pleased with the interconnected smoke detectors and sprinklers!! They even came already to clean out the dryer vents!! No one ever cleaned dryer vents at old place--this is a fire hazard!! The tenants here have all been quiet and most seems to observe the rules.

2019-02-06I enjoyed my stay at Autumn Woods. We were fortunate to have kind neighbors. The walls are thin, you can hear everything. Even if you are in an upstairs apartment, you can hear your neighbors below you. You can hear conversations through every wall and floor. The Office at Autumn Woods has TERRIBLE communication. Many times they have failed to communicate properly and have tried charging me for things that i wasnt aware of. I had to put multiple maintenance requests in for 3 months until anyone addressed the issue. They do not know their own policies well, one person in the office tells me one thing, and someone else says the complete opposite. Very unprofessional with their communication. Besides the thin walls and poor communication, it is a nice and comfortable place to live. Great location and decent amenities.

2019-07-02I have never came into contact with such unprofessional people as I have in the office at autumn woods. They are not only rude but they will call, e-mail and just harass you for things. I don’t feel comfortable there. I feel like someone is always right there watching me and how I’m living or what I’m doing (I’m a normal person that lives a normal life) yes my kid is sometimes loud and I have been contacted for that but it never ends there, they accused me and my boyfriend if smoking and neither of us smoke. There is dog poop everywhere and on a nice hot day when you’d like to sit on your belcony and enjoy it, you can’t help but to keep smelling the warm dog poop everywhere. They’re so concerned about the “safety” of others but don’t put up extra stop signs for the safety of the children in the complex the dumpsters are always over flowing and they have yet in the 8 months I’ve been there call and schedule an extra pick up day. The apt are so cheaply put together. The rugs are paper thin and the walls are the same. I can feel the draft through the new window and the 2 inch gap in my door. I could go on forever but I’d reconsider moving here if you would like some privacy and to not feel harassed.

2019-02-26You can hear everything, beyond the norm of apartment living. Management will fight you tooth and nail to keep your security deposit. Know your tenant rights and youll be fine. Looks nice, but not worth the price.

2016-10-17The place is nice but the staff and the people who work there at the front desk are absolutely some of the rudest people I have ever delt with. Also when you move out do not expect your security deposit back in a timely manner, it has been over 2 months and they still have not given it back nor have they given a reason for why we have not gotten it back, other then they need to talk to maintenance. Mind you new people are already living in the apartment we were in so maintenance has already checked it over. They are unorganized, rude and do not know what is going on. DO NOT MOVE INTO THIS PLACE

2016-01-24This will be our third year at Autumn Woods. We have really enjoyed living here. Although you can hear the neighbors really well mostly from the bottom floor hearing the neighbors above, but its apartment living so its kind of expected. We have a 2 bedroom which os plenty of room for us and our 2 toddler boys. The living room closet is deep and big enough that we use it as a make shift play room for the boys. We love using the pool in the summer and are excited to see what new things come about with the construction. We can also walk into town or to a nearby playground or the canal. The office is very responsive and friendly and are quick with any and all maintenance requests. All in all we have greatly enjoyed living here and are looking forward to our third year!
