I have not always had the best experiences at Avalon Yonkers. However recently I noticed a huge change in their staff. I am hoping this will bring change to the community as a whole... so far so good! Suzanne who has always been such a pleasure introduced me to Alyssa. She is now my go to moving forward. Not only is Alyssa extremely professional but she is patient, knowledgeable and kind. In my opinion she has raised the bar for Avalon Yonkers as a whole. This is the type of employee you hope to have involved with your community. Thanks for all your help!
The building and view itself it great however the management doesnt put adequate and reasonable effort into addressing residents concerns. Persistent noise complaints for going on four months now, nothing has changed. In addition they are raising the rent on renewals at least 20% that they claim are non negotiable. They should do a better job at enforcing quiet hours why do you have procedures and policies if you dont enforce them? If nothing will change I cant see why people would be inclined to renew. Many residents moving out because of these issues and way more and they gladly welcome it so they can get more money for the units. The negative reviews are across all buildings which justifies its not just an issue with one building but throughout the property.
Our family of 4 absolutely Love our new home..only complaint is the really loud neighbors above us. I have 2 children, one who’s a toddler so I do not have noise sensitivity , however, the tenants above us should’ve considered living on the 1st floor or a private home. They’re children are obnoxiously loud and often very late at night. Aside from that, we love it here.
DO NOT MOVE HERE READ FIRST !You will waste your time signing a 1 year lease!! When the lease is over they will automatically offer you a NEW LEASE WITH A $500 INCREASE IN RENT!!!!You will be forced to pack up again, move all of your stuff and FIND A NEW APT!!! ITS stressful and a headache. AVALON YONKERS is A TRICK. So many previous tenants complaint of this and many moved out.The rents are high, entrances smell like pee and in the winter there is only the gym. NO SAUNA, NO HOT TUB, NO POOL TABLE, NOTHING !!!!!! I WARNED YOU. People love to smoke!!!! FIRE JEREMY BROWN !!! HE IS A TERRIBLE MANAGER.I WOULD SUGGEST MANAGEMENT TO LOWER RENT AND STOP RAISING RENTS BY 20% AFTER THE YEAR IS UP!!!
I have been a resident for 15 months. and staring dealing with Suzanne Cestone. shes very professional hard workerr , and listes to every work spoken to her. The most empathetic individual that I have come accorss in a very, very long time. Always gets to the bottom of things, without sweeping them under the wrong, Avalon Of Yonkers should be glad to have her, she is a God sent. I love her.I cant forget about Melissa, she is a rreal Gem.The day Susan Leaves, trust me and others will be right behind her.Keep shinning ladies.I love her.
Avalon Yonkers is a newly-constructed community with three buildings on the Hudson River. I was interested in the community due to its proximity to mass transportation (express busses and Metro-North Hudson Line), for being a waterfront community and for being a newly-constructed property with plenty of amenities. I seriously considered it after speaking with Dahlia on multiple occasions. She has been helpful, outgoing, and has great listening skills - she understood our needs and interests and was very transparent in her answers. I did not need a yes on every request, but I was looking for an explanation and she made sure to be clear on all items related to leasing steps and the community. Her and Jonathan, the concierge, are the epitome of great customer service and to them we are thankful for being so welcoming and kind.I have moved to the property and am very fortunate to wake up, work and live in the apartment that has unrestricted views of the Hudson River, the Palisades, and the wildlife. It is really easy to become a birdwatcher/enthusiast: there are geese, mallards, gulls, herons and egrets that you will get to see on a daily basis. The Hudson River is also abundant with fish. It is a beautiful place to raise kids and have them fall in love with our beautiful mother earth. However, living in a community comes with its bonuses and downs. The community is advertised as non-smoking; however, this rule is not adhered to since it is evident there are residents, who smoke in units and that smell sticks to hallway carpets. Thankfully, it has not seep into my living quarters. The trash compactor room is filthy and unsanitary – it does not take much of an effort for a resident to place all their food waste into a single bag before disposing it down the chute; there is no need for anyone to know that you ate meatballs this evening and left it on the floor of the trash room. Also being considerate and breaking down, folding, and stacking oversized boxes after one receives a furniture or new equipment should not be hard – yet it is a challenge for some. There are times that the door to the trash room does not close since it is overfilled with boxes, and then navigating to the trash chute becomes difficult. I would not necessarily place the blame on the cleaning staff, since it would require them to man every trash room 24/7 in order to ensure it stays clean; but I would expect some consideration from others to be as sanitary as possible. My last item of concern was the email regarding feeding stray cats that found shelter in the river walk behind the community. Just how small and cruel is the person if they find their happiness in taking away shelter from kittens that are 1/20th of a person’s size? Before pointing the finger to kittens that keep to themselves and walk by the riverbed of the Hudson River, recognize that there are residents who leash their dogs to their patios under the scorching sun; those that have disregarded their responsibilities of ensuring a daily walk for their dogs and instead taking their doggies to poop and pee on the balcony (happening as I am typing this). So, please let these kittens be – they are far more sanitary, intelligent, and kind than humans could ever be. Further, making a resident who feels for kittens and feeds them when the water levels are high in the river, and providing them with shelter to ensure kittens survive 16°F (-9°C) nights should not carry a negative connotation. Find happiness in knowing that you are fortunate to live in a beautiful community by the Hudson River that has plenty of space not only for human residents but for all breathing souls.Aside from that, Dahlia and Jonathan – you are the stars of this community!Thank you,
I cannot express how happy and overjoyed my Partner and I are with the property and our AMAZING Apartment. It all would not have been possible without the Outstanding and Extremely polite and Professional service from Suzanne Cestone our leasing agent. She made our whole moving experience Hassle free! I have already raved to many of my family and friends about her service. Overall we are just so Happy we chose The Avalon as our new Home!
Want to give recognition to the front desk concierge Daniel who has been more than kind, attentive and extremely helpful with my concerns. From the very moment I introduced myself, my concerns and questions Daniel stepped up to the plate with no hesitation. Once you walk into the building he automatically greets you with a huge smile followed by a greeting of good morning and a good night. He makes it his business to say .. “If you have any concerns in the future please don’t hesitate to bring it to our attention as we will do our very best to follow through expeditiously”. He is amazing and a true professional, great asset to Avalon Yonkers indeed, thank you 👍🏻👍🏻
Nice building, clean, peaceful view and amazing staff i really love it the only thing i dont like is that once your lease is finish rent goes up by 200 or 300 dollar more a month, thats why i see alot of people moving out. i understand if it goes up 50 60 even 75 put 200 to 300 is alot
Avalon Yonkers Waterfront has given us Excellent customer/guest service since the moment we met with our tour guide/leasing agent Melissa. She welcomed us with coffee, tea, water, and snacks as she handed us a folder containing information about the available units, which included a map of the community, available floor plans with promotional pricing, and the list of amenities and services that Avalon Yonkers Waterfront had to offer. We were immediately sold. The pleasant hospitality of the staff, the well-designed apartments, and the structure of the community which included amazing views of the Hudson River and the George Washington Bridge highly influenced our decision to apply for our dream apartment. Within 48 hours, we were notified by Dahlia, another leasing agent, that we were approved for the apartment. She walked us through the entire leasing process until the day before our move-in date. The transition from the application process to move-in day was very simple with the help of Jeremy Brown (leasing manager), Melissa (leasing agent), Dahlia (leasing agent), Diego (Valet Parking Clerk), Ryan and Jonathan (Concierge). On move-in day, we walked into our apartment and received a Welcome Package, which included a bottle of wine, coupons to local restaurants and services, and a folder with any information related to the Avalon community. We have now been here for about 4 days and have experienced nothing but VIP service from the staff members of this community. The residents are very friendly and diverse as well. Since we been here, we have submitted two maintenance tickets, and were both completed that same day! I highly recommend the Avalon Yonkers Waterfront community to anyone looking for this type of environment with astonishing views, state-of-the-art amenities, and top of the line VIP guest service. Thank you!
I recently moved into Avalon Yonkers, within the last couple of months — initially I thought I would have stellar reviews, but at this point in time I have mixed reviews. Apartment is great (location, amenities, etc), I waited months until the ‘perfect’ apartment was available before applying. Landscaping is great, and views are awesome. Building community is diverse, and my neighbors near me are nice. Amenities are decent, rooftops have great views, and pool is nice. The pool is quite in the morning, that’s when I typically go — in the afternoons I’ve passed by and seen it looking like a complete party. I think management has had issues controlling that, but it’s been better recently compared to when I moved in. The gyms are nice and fully equipped & 24/7.The staff that I’ve dealt with directly have been great - mostly Valery (awesome) and maintenance. With that said, I’ve taken issue with certain measures being taken managing the building. Let me say, I understand it’s tough to manage a living community and deal with certain issues, like pool parties, etc. But as a new resident, who has not contributed to any negativity in the community - I’d prefer not to feel any residual effect of extra enforcement due to prior circumstances of which I was not a participant. For example, a few weeks ago I was using a grill, that I use often and it was close to 9PM (closing time). It was about 8:50PM and I was finishing up, when a woman who worked for the building came to the courtyard and specifically told everyone that they now need to clean up and leave the courtyard because it’s closing at 9PM...I was shocked and highly upset. The way she came off was distasteful, and as a resident paying a substantial amount in rent to live here, I never want to feel like I’m being belittled by the staff. This is not a college dorm, this is a high end living community. And then today, another strange encounter happened. I stopped by the gym, late night (as I often do) with another community member. We walked in the building, in gym attire - and we planned to quickly stop by to do a few reps. As we were finishing up, a security guard came into the gym, closed the door (we were the only ones in there btw) and started asking us if “we were okay” and “how you doin” and weird things like that. Honesty if made me and the other community member feel extremely uneasy — to say the least. For one, we are residents in the gym. He’s a security guard for the building — why are you really speaking to us in that manner at all and why are you questioning us, we haven’t done anything wrong. Secondly, I’m a black person and so is the other community member — the security guard was a white male. It felt racial, because honestly I’ve never encountered a security guard do that before and definitely not in a building I’m a resident in, inside of a gym that requires a resident key. After he asked us those questions we finished our rep quickly, laughed a little bit and walked out — all the while he stayed in the gym until we left.Again, as a resident I expect to be treated without any prior judgements as I have a spotless housing background and I’m a professional. I will not tolerate any mistreatment or subtle intimidation and I believe management has the duty to ensure that amongst their community. If staff does not understand how to appropriately engage with residents, they should not engage at all.All I can say now is that I hope this improves and I never have to deal with these types of issues again. And generally I do enjoy the apartment, the views and location, it’s great! But the other stuff needs to get better — I’ll still be here for quite a while so I hope I can eventually improve this review!
Beautiful building with many different beautiful apartments. However terrible management . The building is always dirty . The hallways reek of pet urine and marijuana. The building lacks safety , no surveillance in the hallways stair cases elevators and garages . If you want to feel secure you have to install your own security cameras which they will then tell you is prohibited. There’s been times I have been followed from outsiders in the courtyards the building and garages . You have to email multiple times for responses from un experienced leading agents and after many complaints they try as much to avoid you and the enthusiasm when they have to speak to you becomes very low. The Avalon yonkers doesn’t live up the the luxurious name of the Avalon .
From the time I got a tour with Dahlia to after I’ve moved in the Avalon team has exceeded expectations! Dahlia was no pressure and let the apartment and amenities speak for themselves. I was able to pick the perfect unit for my boys and I. The application and approval process was easy. Another member even called me to provide an update so the process was not held up when I completed it on my leasing consultants day off. Now that’s teamwork and putting the customers needs first!!! Every question I asked was addressed timely and they accommodated my every need. On move in day the overnight concierge Ryan was very helpful. Thanks Ryan! I’ve also met over members of the team who have anticipated my needs before I even knew it. A nice hand written card and gifts for my boys and I made me feel at home from the very start. Thank you Dahlia, Val, Ryan, Joe, Manny and the rest of the Avalon team for welcoming us home with open arms. You have made this transition a great experience and we are so grateful for what you do every day.
From the first phone call with Dahlia to the multiple times David the leasing agent took my calls, answered my emails and walked me through (via video) multiple apartments to the concierge, it was a wonderful experience. They were all so accommodating. I appreciate the care and attention they took with me. They had contactless visits which allowed me to experience the apartments on my own which was great. The entire process was effortless and simple. Thanks Avalon Yonkers for making apartment hunting less stressful!!!!!
We have lived here for about 3 months . We really like the waterfront, the experience of not living too far from the city. We appreciate the concierge customer service as well as the entire leasing office. Also, the location of the building and proximity to different bars and restaurants in the area.I don’t give Avalon 5 stars because there are some little issues that if they aren’t addressed with time could become a real problem . I believe the main problem comes with not having a concierge in every building since it can be perceive as “ I can do whatever I want “. Building two for example many ppl do not follow the 100% no smoking policy neither with the wag program. Many pets owners don’t clean up after their dogs and it’s disgusting to get on the elevator and find pee all over it or the hallways carpets. Some pet owners do not leashed their doggies which can create dogs fights and even attacks to others in the common areas. Also, some residents do not take into consideration that they aren’t alone in the entire building and the noise should be controlled at certain time.Another issue is the patio system. Not long ago we were having a grill day. One of the grills did not work and the other was extremely dirty. The system locked us out exactly at 9pm. We called the concierge desk to open but they couldn’t open either. I don’t want to imagine if we had an emergency what would have happened. The gym is not equipped with the right equipment if you like to lift weights. Many of us had to sign up in other locations since our gyms are cardio baSed abs the amount of weight and space is very small considering the amount of ppl living in the community.I wished we were informed about the building being built soon on the left side of building 2 since I would block our views , and we aren’t sure what kind of building or landscape will be built. Also, the construction noise at 6-7 am is really a pain.On the other hand many of us have spoken in the hallways about having a dogs park in the community since many ppl are pet owners and there is so much space being unused. Creating a dogs park might bring the residents together as well as their pets and maybe that can help with some of the issues.Avalon Yonkers could be one those amazing places to live but definitely need improvement.
Really Bad How The Alarms Go Off Everyother Day Waking Everyone, This Can Affect Babies, The Sound Is Extremely Loud. In Building 3 Looking To Move Out Soon. The Building Was Poorly Made Always Has Leaks Or Somethings Messed Up. My Whole Issue Is The Extremely Fire Alarms In The Rooms That Go Off For Everything But Fires, Ive gotten migranes at this point.
Avalon in Yonkers is a beautiful place to live and call home! From the cleanliness, amenities, and the people that work here are outstanding. Will B was a great help from the start of my interest of moving in up until this day he is always ready to help when he can and make sure all is good! Ryan and Valerie are well beyond excellent and are always willing to go out of their way to help and always on the frontline for whatever concerns us residents may have. They are also great assets to the Avalon Community. It’s always a good feeling to see them there at the front desk. Living here is better than excellent and I will definitely recommend this community to anyone that wants to live in a beautiful well kept place. Thank you also to the cleaning ladies that keep this place sparkling clean, they are also very excellent at what they do!The only issue I honestly have to say is the whole quiet time and noise thing. It’s hard to enjoy yourself, family, or celebrate anything when you have certain neighbors that will bang on the wall or call up management about a noise complaint coming from an average Samsung TV. It’s like shhhh my neighbors at 8pm and it shouldn’t be like that. That kind of complaint is ridiculous and apparently comes from people that have issues. I feel as if you should be able to do as you please in your apartment as far as playing music, watching TV, or celebrating. Even on the weekends those rules are still implemented, which I think should be revised. This isn’t a retirement home. Other than that beautiful place to live! Love calling it my home! Thank you to the Avalon Staff!
Ryan, the front desk concierge was very helpful and knowledgeable. He provided excellent service for me when I was moving in to my new apartment in Yonkers, NY. Answered all of my questions, pointed me in the right direction for further assistance. Avalon Yonkers and their staff are awesome!
Had a great tour of the property with David Chavez before building 1 was even completed. Upon moving in members of the staff: Ryan, Jonathan, & Valery are always willing to help with questions or issues you may have. Overall it’s a nice property with great views of the river.
After living here since August, Id give the overall experience of living here 4 stars. Nice location and facility, but a few issues here and there keep it from 5 stars. That said, the staff absolutely deserve 5 stars. From the start of the leasing process, Dahlia and Jason were wonderfully responsive and accommodating. Since moving in, weve felt very welcomed. All the concierge staff has been great, both friendly and helpful. Big thanks to Ryan, Jonathan, Valerie, Joe, and Yvonne for all they do for the residents here.
I would to say that living here as been great for my family and I. So far people keep to themselves. You still have people breaking the rules with smoking and garbage rules; but I’m hoping with time people will learn to understand that this is a nice place to live in. AVALON out did themselves for the holidays. They order a pizza truck and crepes truck. We enjoyed it! It gave us time to hangout, grab some good food (the Pizza was amazing @Pizza Vitale) and enjoy our beautiful lobby to sit and eat our dinner with dessert. So Avalon thank you so much for always thinking of your tenants.
Avalon Yonkers is amazing!!! Sooo glad I made the choice to live here. The place is beautiful! The apartments are gorgeous and the Hudson river view is to die for. The entire team is very helpful and super friendly. Suzanne and Dahlia assisted me with the application process and were very patient in answering the millions of questions I had. Jason gave me a tour of the building and my apartment before move in and he was also very helpful and courteous. The team is definitely dedicated to ensuring you are happy and feel at home right away. My 6-year-old daughter loves it here too!
Living here has been very good. The staff are always very responsive to any issues that you may have. Ive been here 8 months and its the best location. From the amazing welcoming gift in the apartment when you first move in to the public transportation, amazing amenities and decent sizes of the apartments; the decision to move here was fantastic with no regrets!!You have some inconsiderate tenants but thats in every apartment complex
My name is Curtis and I operate a Mister Softee truck in Westchester. Avalon Yonkers booked me to give ice cream to the residents and their guests on Saturday. It was a wonderful experience and I found out they bring food trucks for the residents all the time. Again it was a great experience and I’m happy I was able to make the day even brighter for the residents at Avalon Yonkers.
Avalon Yonkers team is the best!! Suzanne has been exceptional, she has helped us from the start with any questions/concerns we had prior to our move. Once we moved in, any concerns weve had has been resolved/answered right away and we could not be happier with choosing this beautiful community!! Jason thank you for going above and beyond to help me feel at home and to the maintenance team thank you for your knowledgeable responses to all our questions! We are very happy to be part of Avalon Yonkers, highly recommend!
It has been a pleasure living in the Avalon since August. The team have gone out of their way to help my wife and I get accommodated upon our arrival by letting us move into another apartment while our 5th floor apartment was completed.I would like to highlight Jonathan in particular as he has gone above and beyond in helping us since our move-in and throughout our time here so far. The whole team has been great with us and the level of professionalism has also been great !
I own a wood burning pizza truck business called Pizza Vitale and just did an event for the Avalon Yonkers Apts. They decided to do an outside resident appreciation event with 2 food trucks which was so incredibly lovely for everyone -- you could see how happy the residents were. The management was incredibly organized and a pleasure to work with. Jason, Will & Dahlia thank you so much & hope we get to come back in the Spring!!
Just wanted to give a shout-out to Melisa from the front desk!! My fiancé and I have been looking to move for quite some time now. It was snowing a lot and we happened to be driving nearby Avalon. Upon walking in I was surprised to even see anyone at work on such a horrible snow day, and Melisa was all smiles even with a mask on, greeting us and rushing us inside from the cold. She immediately put a smile on our faces, making us feel as if we were residents that already resided there! It was definitely the type of service that you would expect from such high end living. My fiancé and I flooded her with questions from the types of units to the amenities offered, storage options, parking, pet policy and everything in between! We we’re picking her brain for almost 36 mins or so and the whole time she was so patient and answered all of our questions and gave some helpful suggestions on the application process!!!My fiancé works in the service field and couldn’t stop boasting about how helpful and pleasant this experience was with Melisa, I myself am a GM of a tech service and secretly only could wish for someone on my team to be this positive and professional with my clients!!! She was definitely a breath of fresh air!!!! We will definitely be looking at the potential to move here!Thank you Melisa!
I had a great experience with Valery at the front desk. She was very knowledgable about the property and leasing process. Extremely helpful and professional. You need more employees like Valery at Avalon, she definitely made an otherwise stressful situation, very pleasant.
Suzanne & Dahlia were great during the entire process. Ryan at the front desk was very helpful upon my move in. Highly recommend Avalon Yonkers from the beautiful apartments to the Hudson river views. Amazing Team making you feel right at home. Big Thank you to Suzanne & the Avalon team!
Should be a retirement home. The building itselfIs beautiful and the staff is pleasant. But the walls are super thin which make it impossible for residents to enjoy and entertain family members in their units. For the amount of rent I pay, I shouldBe able to have a dinner party here and there, but neighboring residents make it impossible. I also have 2 kids under the age of 10, which are both attending school 100% remotely, kids will jump, run and yell. But neighboring units have a tendency of banging on my walls and floors even at early times in the afternoon. I even had the cops arrive at my door one time. It’s absolutely stressful to live here and constantly have to cater to your neighbors when you’re paying almost 4K in rent. I’m so over it
Our apartment is beautiful and I am happy with it. However, the main reason I cannot give this building 5 stars is:The Mandatory Valet- Somebody please tell me this service is going away soon. I cant handle it anymore. Even though Im paying for parking I feel more comfortable parking my car on the street than I do using the mandatory valet service. Agreed with the comment in another review about the damage. The amount of new scratches and dings on my car is insane. Whats even more annoying is that now the valets verbally point out every bit of damage they see when you drop your car off. I KNOW. Its been there for months. You guys probably did it in the first place. So stop pointing it out to me every day because its stressing me out. Im well aware of every mark on my car. Just because they point it out to me does not mean that they are absolved from being the ones who most likely caused it in the first place.Using the car request system is also hit or miss. No matter how much advanced notice I give, its always a crapshoot if my car actually is ready for me. On a few occasions Ive had to search for my car myself because it wasnt ready and I was going to be late for work. I have found my car parked with the tires hitting the cement blocks in the parking spots or parked lopsided. Not to mention, we are in the middle of a pandemic and Im not thrilled about other people being allowed to drive my car. It makes me so nervous.Residents need to be able to self-park. The valet system is causing me so much anxiety for the above reasons. Management, please end the valet service. :(
1. Noise - Do not live here if you are sensitive to noiseA. The construction is below average in noise reduction. We hear a dog below us barking for hours a day. We tend to hear the bass from music of others in some part of our apartment all day. At first the staff seemed interested in helping, but they have since started ignoring emails.B. The windows barely dull the sound of music playing or people talking in the courtyard. You can hear people dealing cards on their deck through a closed window.2. SmokingResidents smoke cigarettes and weed periodically, despite this being a smoke free community. Given how smoke travels it is impossible to find the source. Keeping your window open without having to always be ready to close it is something we miss.
This place is absolutely awesome! I’ll admit, it wasn’t an easy ride but we’ve moved in and Suzanne has been 100% there for us every step of the way! She’s genuine, helpful and beyond amazing! Without her, it could have been a more difficult process with the delays! But she stepped up and delivered, so did the team as a whole! I 100% recommend this community to those that love an oasis away from the craziness of our every day lives. Looking forward to this next chapter. Thanks Suzanne and team for always being on it and for always taking care of our needs.
Love the area it is so quite. Nothing is to far away. Loved the accessibility when it came down to parking. Upon moving in a year ago Ryan has been nothing more than helpful. He has answered every question I’ve ask and he is very polite, Directed me to the right place with any issues that I may have had. My family and friends love it!
All I have to say is... WOW! Just WOW! William Bermingham, a member of the leasing department, has offered nothing less than exceptional service during our time together. While searching for unit, William offered guidance that helped ease the high level of overwhelmingness a person feels when moving. His level of warmness and openness coupled with his keen ability to identify units that are aligned to my interests demonstrated how knowledgeable, professional, and valuable he is to the Avalon Community. Thank you, William!
Close to the river but not quiet!! Residents are rude loud and obnoxious. Staff does nothing . No competent security. No leadership from management. It’s basically a do whatever you want living situation with no repercussions for those who blast music at all hours of the evening and into the early morning. Beautiful location but lack of management is frustrating. Not luxury living when you’re surrounded by unruly disrespectful obnoxious neighbors
I would recommend Avalon facility with 5 stars as displayed with my review 🤗Wonderful units, installed with smart appliances such as washer an dryer that comes with a laundry room. Smart stove that will remember your favorite recipes alongside microwave. Even have smart blinds that’s installed in the units where you can download an app right off your phone to help save energy on electric bill ✊🏿 I luv the staff that is very respectful and will accommodate any needs in a timely fashion. David Chavez a community consultant that will assist you in being apart of this beautiful community. Oh I must mention also before I close about my amazing view I’ve been bless to have an experience 🥰 I luv it here so peaceful 👍🏿
The staff at Avalon Yonkers has truly made a house a home. The concierge team is friendly and knowledgeable. John always makes great converstaion, and is eager to help in anyway he can while still maintsining social distancing guidelines. The maintenance team is increibly helpful, Johnatan is alwats able to fix all emergencies with ease. I look forward to living here for a long time thanks to all of them!
This place is not only gorgeous, but the team is beyond fantastic! Suzanne has been beyond helpful, making herself available every step of the way during this transition. So lucky to have a team so on it and dedicated to each residents needs! Thank you Suzanne and I appreciate your help. Can’t wait to be fully moved in!
The staff here are generally pretty great. Its the trashy residents that live here that will make you want to move.Examples:1. A party in the courtyard on the 4th of July weekend with extremely loud music and it happened again on July 26th.2. People letting their dog run in the hallways without a leash.3. Many residents do not wear masks in the buildings.4. People on their decks being obnoxiously loud or on speaker phone. My advice to any prospective residents, DO NOT live in a court yard apartment and buy a noise machine.
I’ve lived in NYC for 20 years , transferred from the LIC Avalon location and took my family out of the busy 24/7 city environment. It’s a big transition to suddenly be in nature just 28 minutes via Hudson River train outside of the Big Apple, surrounded by wildlife, fresh air and presented with a killer view of the Palisades, especially in the evening! For those who need a healthier , more spacious place , especially with kids or animals , it truly is a creative environment even for city folk ! Suzanne and Dahlia , you are a well oiled team ! 🔥I’d like to mention one more essential and comforting part of the Avalon community and staff, that makes life here beyond welcoming, and energetic: his name is Joe C , He is the front desk manager and knows all detailed needs... and might just play one of my favorite parts while living here. Unmatched people skills and a big smile . 👍🏽Guys, once you see the digs, it’s really a no-brainer!
Very nice building but the construction noise at 6-8am is not appealing!! VERY LOUD, hammers, tools. Seems like Avalon just cares about building their development as quickly as possible without the concern of their new resident or the law. Jason is not helpful either. Avoid this place!! You’re paying over $2500 a month and the staff does not want to do anything about the noise. God knows how long this will go on for.. I can not sleep!!
Wow wow wow... What an amazing team, there was a small amount of confusion with the application but Dahlia was so amazing through the process she stayed on top of it and gave great communication throughout. I am so pleased and excited we chose Avalon of yonkers for our new journey. And truly I want to recognize and thank Dahlia she was so amazing. Dahlia made us feel welcomed and she is apart of the reason we decided to be apart of Avalon of Yonkers.
I would like to give an accommodation to community consultant David Chavez of Avalon Yonkers. His consulting wisdom along with talented customer service skills, plus triple that with a peaceful relaxing Hamlet combining luxury and convenience made my choice to call Avalon Yonkers my Staycation home a wise decision! Ryan, Jon and David Always help me and my wife out anytime there’s an issue , if there is ever an issue ! Always have a great talk with all of them . Make me feel like I’m really at home . Only thing I can say is the trash room is not normally clean , but otherwise the staff is pretty dope
Jeremy the manager is trying to evict my boyfriend for “removing a fire alarm” which he never did. It wasn’t even removed and is still o the wall but according to him it was “tampered” with. I think he has a problem with people of color and now I have to go to court. Don’t live here.
Great service so far it’s better than I expected and their employees have been more than great specially Ryan Vacciana at the front desk truly an amazing person always helps with what ever I need that guy should get a raise if you ask me would recommend the Avalon to everyone you really get wat you pay for.

2022-06-13It has been a good stretch of almost 3 years living here and I can say that the staff were amazing on helping us out with our needs and requests. Special shout-out to David and Jon who are not with the office anymore. Especially Jon who was our concierge guy before. He was outstanding and very approachable. He was probably the best one they got. Special mention also to Suzanne for helping us out with all our concerns regarding billing and moving-out. Lastly, to the hardworking and all-around concierge/office staff right now, Daniel. Always kind and helpful with us. Thank you, Avalon!

2022-02-28My family and I recently move to Avalon Yonkers. From the moment we called to book an appointment to moving in our experience has been nothing but exceptional! We would like to take this time to give a special thank you to Alyssa L. She is the gold standard! Alyssa met my husband and I for our tour from that moment on she treated us family! Her attention to detail, her warming attitude and her professionalism goes beyond our expectations. Alyssa should truly be considered for a promotion. We have watched her interact with others in the community and she delivers the same amazing customer service across the board. Our apartment is wonderful we absolutely love it! Also the entire leasing office has been wonderful, thank you all for welcoming us to our new home. The only thing we have encountered that leaves room from improvement is getting ahold of the concierge during the morning weekdays seems a bit difficult. However Daniel and Jordan are extremely helpful! Also the upkeep of the property does need some work for a new property we feel it should look a bit better in the amenity spaces hallways and trash rooms. We hope there will be some upgrades within the maintenance. Other than that we are so happy! Thank you Alyssa and leasing office! See you guys around!

2022-02-10I recently move to Avalon Yonkers. I was looking for a place with all inclusive amenities gym, pool and concierge and finally found it. Alyssa was absolutely amazing. She listened to all of my needs for my son and I and found us the perfect apartment. Alyssa went above and beyond for us. She made me feel so comfortable with my decision and welcomed to the property. She continuously checks in to make sure my move went smoothly. I will say the only thing I wish is that the upkeep of the property was a little better. The hallways look dated and worn. Other then that we are so happy. Thank you Alyssa for all your help!!

2022-01-09I absolutely recommend this property. New York is really expensive and this place isnt cheap; but with what you spend here you get a living situation thats outstanding. I was here for two years; and can say this place is the best place Ive lived. Ive lived in apartments my entire life, in different parts of the country. The property is breathtaking and super well maintained. Every level of the staff, from management to service and maintenance are very responsive. Ive had a couple of issues with factors outside of managements control and they did what they were supposed to...manage, which is not something you can rely on at other properties. They always took care of me and they take their residents very seriously. I mostly worked with Jason Hudson whos performance is way above reproach, but any person there, especially the concierge staff, is super diligent. I moved out due to some life changes but hope to return to Avalon Yonkers in the future.

2022-01-12Currently living at the Avalon and from the first moment I saw it I knew this was the place for me. From the amenities to the modern style of the apartments it’s all gorgeous. The icing on the cake was meeting and working with Alyssa, her energy and vibes made the Avalon the only choice for me. She has been so helpful and helped me truly feel welcomed, answering all my questions and truly getting a feel for what I wanted when showing me the apartments, not just trying to get me to sign. She really made this both the easiest and best decision I’ve made.

2022-03-09I do not recommend living in Avalon Yonkers. I currently live in building 2 and maybe this building is the problem child seeing how there are so many glowing reviews considering the issues this property has.Pros: The views are amazing, pet friendly and the property has a park that is beautiful.Cons: Bad tenants and management that cannot manage these tenants. Pet feces and urine are frequently found in the hallways, stairwell and elevator. As another reviewer mentioned fire alarms go off about every two weeks and this is not including the fire alarm testing. This is a non smoking building yet people smoke anyway hence the fire alarms going off. There are no cameras except for outside which means frequent emails from management asking for tenants to stop this bad behavior. Worst of all I have pet urine dripping down onto my balcony from above every so often making the balcony unusable. I was told they will speak to the tenant and maybe I should get weather proof furniture. After multiple occurrences and complaints managements solution to this situation is that it is best I move. As a customer service gesture they would also not charge me for breaking the lease early... how gracious. I was not offered any other option or solution. No compensation, no option to move to another apt within the property, and adding insult to injury I would have to pay back any rent concessions I may have used which they offered when signing the lease. So its basically my fault for staying here each time this occurs. So if you do move to Avalon please do not move into building 2 or rent an apt with a balcony unless being urinated on is not a big deal which by the way happened to me one lovely morning. My lease is almost over so if anyone needs proof or would like to know what apt I live in I will be happy to provide photos and video. I would hate for the person who moves in to this apt to have the same experience since management will not do anything to stop the tenant above me.Update 3/9: Avalon responds to reviews about wanting to discuss but its a lie as my most recent incident email of pet urine on my balcony has been ignored by both Jeremy Brown and Jason Hudson.

2022-04-14Do not move here unless you dont care, in giving your money away to Avalon! I had a bad experiencing living here as well as some other family members that were living there. Avalon does not care about your issues, problems or concerns. The first issue I had was that cars were parking in the garage with no parking pass, while I had to pay for mines. You bring up the issue to them, and they tell you to take pictures of the cars and send it to them like if we work there that should be their job. Second you have people there that smoke in the stairway leaving their cigars scatter around. Lastly fire alarms OMG they were annoying, they will go off every time even when you are sleeping and go on for 20 mins. And if youre moving out, dont clean !! your apartment because even if you do, you will get charge because they did that to me even tho I left it very clean even had photos to prove I left the apartment clean. They will take your deposit without letting you know, to charge you that cleaning fee. The only good thing about living here is the view, but its free to the public, you can go there anytime time living somewhere else. I could say many more stuff but listen to all the bad reviews here because its all TRUE!!. The good reviews are people who just moved in because they havent experienced what the bad comments are saying. Oh, and one more thing if you renew your lease it will go up $250 and more -_-.
