My husband and I moved to Florida from Long Island in Aug. We had never used a moving company before so I interviewed 3 companies. We picked Avatar because Chris was the most honest man among them. He told us things that the others did not regarding our rights as customers. He was always there to answer any questions or go over things. The day of the move the movers actually came early and the crew were nice, respectful and did a great job. We did most of the packing ourselves but besides the furniture we did have them pack mirrors, glass tops, TVs,and an antique tea cart. The day the truck arrived at our new house everything went fine. All the things that they packed and our furniture arrived in great condition. I would definitely tell anyone who is moving to use Avatar Relocation and if we ever move again I will be calling Chris!!!
We recently had Avatar pack up our 3500 sq ft house in NY and move everything to Virginia. They did a wonderful job. Chris came and did a very thorough inventory of our belongings and his estimate was very close to the actual final weight. They gave us a 4 day window for delivery, but were able to pin down an exact day ahead of time, which was very nice. Everything was wrapped and labeled well. Chris stayed in touch with me throughout the process - the customer service is above and beyond! This is an excellent company and I would use them again as well as recommend to friends and family.
We made an interstate move and needed to put all of our belongings in storage while we looked for a permanent residence. The Avatar team moved all of our things out of the house with care and timeliness. Our things ended up in storage for almost five months. I wasnt sure what to expect when everything arrived at the new house. After all, they had been put on a truck, taken to a warehouse, stored in vaults, taken out of the vaults, put back on a truck driven 250 miles and returned to us. Well, everything arrived and in good condition. Well done to Chris, Rob and the entire Avatar team. Thank you for caring for my belongings.
I highly recommend Avatar!. These guys worked hard from start to finish, with impeccable quality. We move locally, so the loading and unloading occurred on the same day, these guys never slowed down. They were genuinely nice people, my whole family enjoyed them throughput the day.These guys absolutely know how to move an entire household so you feel moved in at the end of the day.
Avatar made a stressful moving experience much easier. They were on-time, the 3 movers were polite and professional. They expertly wrapped and packed up two large glass display cabinets, a Grandfather clock, tables, chairs, sofas etc. The price was very fair. So Glad I made the decision to use these guys! I was in need of a decent moving company to take care of a very unexpected move; my past experiences were really disappointing. When I called Avatar Relocation, Glenn was my point of contact who helped me navigate through a very difficult situation. I needed a couple of pick ups and a drop off, in one day. Glenn gave me some projected quotes and with it being the beginning of Summer, getting the job done in one day was not optional, it was a must-do.Rob and his crew showed up and the first location at the crack of Dawn! They were all very kind and very professional. Rob knew I was stressed about the time and reassured me as much as possible, that he and his crew will get the job done! I also kept in contact with Glenn, purely to give my mind a rest and he was equally as accommodating!I cannot say enough for the punctuality of Rob and his team at each stop! I wanted Glenn to know this about the crew as I have never found a better moving company or moving team!! They all really saved me and put my faith back into customer service. I was treated like a human being and not a work order.I told Rob, his team and Glenn, that I will be calling on them for any of my future moves! We purchased a house in George while we still have our house on Long Island. We have so far used Avatar for 2 moves from Long Island to Georgia over the last year. The first was a few thousand pounds of essential items and the next was about 10000 pounds of furniture, electronics, kitchen stuff, shop tools and clothing. In both instances, Chris was fantastic in guiding us through the process. We packed most of the stuff ourselves but Avatar packed the kitchen dishes, glassware, etc. Everything arrived in the same condition it was packed in. The driver Danny was excellent in supervising the move on both ends and kept us informed regarding the delivery time. All of the movers were great guys, handled our stuff with care and were a pleasure to work with. We still have a lot of furniture to move down once we sell the house on Long Island and we will be using Avatar again.
Our move was a local one in NY state. It was on the coldest day of the year so far. A few days before the move, Chris come over to my house and estimated the move cost. He was professional, knowledgeable and courteous. The movers - George, Claude and Kevin arrived right on time on the day of the move. All of them were professional and courteous. The efficiency and teamwork displayed was top notch. The overall moving experience was terrific. The final cost also ended up very close to the estimated cost from Chris. Overall, Avatar made our move stress free. Keep up the good work guys!
I used Avatar for a local move from LI to Yonkers. One of the owners, Chris, came to do the estimate, and it was very clear to me that he was genuinely focused on quality. He suggested certain things that ought to be done (like crating a particular mirror, rather than just boxing it, and splitting pickup and delivery to two days, to avoid an overworked/over-tired crew) to ensure quality, even though it added a bit to the cost. But ultimately, his estimate came in very close to others I received (also from reputable franchised movers). I have some high end furniture I was very concerned about -- as I have had damage in all my previous moves (all with major franchises). Chris clearly communicated this to the crew, and they made sure to wrap it all before moving it even within the house.On the delivery side, the crew got all the boxes to the right rooms, and asked for guidance appropriately, where they needed it. They hauled a lot of boxes up two flights of stairs (including one very narrow flight) to a walk-up attic, including probably 25 heavy boxes of books, without complaint. The only issues we had were so minor I basically consider the move to have been issue-free. And the time/cost came in almost exactly as estimated. My prior three moves were all cross-country, so in some sense not quite a fair comparison, but this was certainly the best moving experience I have had.As part of the estimate, Chris told me that, as an owner, it wasnt critical to win every job, but it was critical that for every job they did win, the customer end up happy. I believe he was being genuine, and that this is truly how they run their business. You can never guarantee there wont be any problems, but you can certainly minimize the likelihood of such by choosing the right provider. I would certainly choose Avatar again, for a move in their service area.
I cannot say enough good things about my move with Avatar. The team of movers were polite, professional, knowledgeable, honest and extremely helpful about any request I had. When I asked them to move several items to different locations than I originally asked for, their replies were always no problem. They made what could have been an extremely difficult day almost enjoyable. The icing on the cake was when I was told my bill was a little less expensive than originally quoted. Thank you Avatar!
My wife and I decided it was time to downsize and after selling our house we realized we would need a moving company that would move and store our belongings until we were ready to move into our knew home. It was just by chance we were put in contact with Christopher Noblit from Avatar Relocation and let me tell you we hit the lottery. The day he came to give us our estimate he could not have been more professional. He explained how the process worked and what the different charges would be. Since we were first moving our belongings into storage my wife and I experienced the professionalism of Avatars moving crews twice. We could not have asked for more professional and genuinely nicer guys. They treated my wife and I and more importantly our belongings with nothing but respect. Our moves were done efficiently and our belongings were returned without a scratch, and all the estimates were right on without any added on costs. I am not normally one to leave reviews but after our experience with Avatar I felt it was the least my wife and I could do. Simply put you cannot go wrong using Avatar Relocation for your next move.
I had an excellent experience with Avatar Relocation for my move from Illinois to Michigan. My coordinator was Chris and he was very helpful and professional. The movers arrived exactly as scheduled and did a great job, working carefully but also efficiently. Highly recommended!
Avatar Relocation provided excellent service for me on a very short-term notice of less than 3 weeks! Great customer service with communication and daily updates helped me know exactly when the truck would arrive to load and when my belongings would be delivered. Avatar Relocation of NY recently provided us with services for our relocation from New York to Florida. From the original visit and estimate Chris was excellent in providing support and assistance in preparation for the move. When the day of the move came, we could not have been in better hands than with the driver Danny and his crew. Their experience in working together for 30 years helped us through what could have been a very stressful day. Their teamwork and coordination of handling everything from loading boxes, furniture, special packing and loading the truck instilled a sense of calm with the knowledge that we were in the hands of seasoned professionals. Danny called us from the road and kept of informed of when he would be arriving with our stuff in Florida. The crew he had in Florida was excellent as well and in no time our household was downloaded and placed exactly where every item was earmarked to go in our new house.We would highly recommend Avatar, an agent for Atlas Van Lines for any relocation and moving needs. If we were ever to move again (which I seriously doubt) we would not hesitate to contact Avatar/Atlas Van Lines once again.
Even though we were only moving 1.5 miles away, the whole process can still be stressful. Not so with the guys from Avatar. The whole undertaking from initial sales meeting with Steve to the actual move with Robert, Hank and crew was outstanding. We moved on New Years Eve Day and the guys were punctual, professional and personable. We had basically no damage to any of our furniture or our home and everything was assembled and placed exactly where we wanted it. While slightly nervous beforehand, the day ended up being such a relief. They guys were also a pleasure to deal with throughout the move. All had great personalities, strong work ethics and made the move (almost) enjoyable. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great moving service at a fair price.
My husband and I had a great experience using Atlas. From the beginning, our needs were met and exceeded; Chris N. was more than accommodating when it came to scheduling around our closing date, as well as very professional and courteous in all of our conversations.The day of the move we were lucky enough to work with Pumi, Jose, and Jeff. All three were hard working, polite, and made the entire move seamless and smooth. Since moving is obviously a stressful time, professionalism and a good attitude stand out and go a long way, and neither went unnoticed. My husband and I appreciate the hard work that was displayed and would definitely recommend Atlas to anyone in the market for movers!
Chris and his team are complete professionals. I used them to move my mother in law from her home of 55 years. It was a large move. They handled everything including packing and labeling the boxes. They were very accommodating with our scheduling requests. They even moved her grand piano! They were also very reasonably priced. I highly recommend Avatar and would definately use them again.
Avatar was one of a few moving companies I requested quotes form for our move from Long Island to Port St Lucie Florida. Although, they were not the cheapest, Chris Norblit provided a real sense of confidence in his companys ability to do the job right. My neighbor, who was making a similar move at the same time, went with a bargain basement quote and paid the price in damage to a large number of irreplaceable antiques. Avatar paid attention to each of our items and special attention to those critical pieces that we all have. The packers on the NY end were great as were the movers in FL. Our effects were in storage for a few months so had to be moved into and out of storage, too. And the result, an on time delivery, and not a single damaged item! What more could you ask for from a mover? You always have a choice between the cheapest price and the best price. If you are moving, go with Avatar and the best price. You wont be disappointed.
Every member of the team was outstanding from the beginning. We moved an entire Trailer and did not have a single item damaged. The estimate was spot on. Dont skimp out when it comes to moving your valuables and hire the pros. Our loaders were exceptional, taking great care to ensure everything fit and was properly protected. Our driver/lead was awesome, and the entire office staff was super helpful.
We recently used Avatar Relocation of NY for our move to North Carolina. Chris Noblit and his staff were courteous and professional from start to finish. The entire moving experience was pleasant and conducted in the timeframe promised. The moving staff was extremely friendly and took the time to handle personal items with great care. Not one item was damaged in the relocation. I rate Avatar with 5 stars and feel this company provides exceptional service and highly recommend them for your relocation needs.
My wife and I have been nomads for the last few years, moving from L.A. to New Orleans, then to a couple of locations on Long Island, then to the greater New York City area...and each time we have used Avatar and each time we have received the same quality service. Weve not had one item broken or lost and they always showed up on time and moved us quickly as possible. The individual movers weve experienced have always been extremely hard working and very nice and respectful. Chris Noblit has always gone out of his way to accommodate us and made the stressful and chaotic experience of moving less so. And, they have always charged us fairly and have always tried to find a time and day that would be the least costly. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

Everything went great - from moving my items into storage in New York, all the way to delivering them to my new home in Florida. I would highly recommend Avatar Relocation for any moving and storage needs.
Avatar gave me the best price and a MUCH BETTER moving experience than a previous company I used. They showed up on time, were very courteous, and finished ahead of schedule. I especially appreciated the careful way they packed all of my items. Nothing was damaged (as compared to many easily-avoided damages in my previous move with another company). At the end of the job they made an extra effort to confirm each piece of furniture and box had been placed in the right room of the house. They even helped put back together my Ikea bookshelf that fell apart while they were moving it (through no fault of theirs, particle board furniture has a tendency to do that!) Will definitely use them again if I have to move.
This review was written in regards to my move in February 2015 to ON, Canada. Due to the mistake in handling the paperwork and designating a wrong recipient in transporting my furniture to my family in Canada. I had to obtain a power of attorney to correct the mistake, which caused extra cost (notarization fee and expedited courier fee of the original documentation to be sent to Canada) and a 2-week delay in releasing the goods at the border. When I decided to hire Avatar to handle my cross-border move. I trusted their expertise in handling the customs issues. But thats not the case. They were not knowledgeable and misled me to think that no extra paperwork and duty were required (which was not the case, I had to prepare invoice of my furniture and pay a significant amount of duty fee). I really wish that Avatar Relocation can be more careful in paperwork preparation and be able to answer customers questions more thoroughly for cross-border move to avoid unnecessary delays and misunderstanding.Nevertheless, I should still say that the loading day went very smoothly. The moving crew came to my house on time, packed everything carefully, and loaded everything in a careful and organized manner. They demonstrated high level of professionalism.In all, I would recommend this company to do any local or within-US moves only. I would not recommend them to do any cross-border moves. You would either have to do lots of your own research on importing/exporting across the border or hire someone else that has that expertise.
This review is a bit odd in the fact that I didnt take advantage of Avatar Relocations moving services but still feel compelled to provide a review.(I live in a geographic area outside of their prime coverage area)I recently moved and had some questions about verifying the exact weight of my shipment. So I jumped online, went on Google in search of someone from the moving industry who could shed some insight into how to handle my situation.I found a blog post that addressed the exact question I had and was really impressed with the depth of knowledge evidenced in the blog post. A phone number was included in the writers byline, so I took a chance and called to see if I could tap into his experience.I connected with Chris Noblit and shared my situation with him. The best way to describe the experience is in an analogy: it was like suffering from a mysterious ailment and going to see a highly experienced doctor who zeroed in with great questions and in ten minutes I had a solution - with my moving issue I had a plan to deal with the weight discrepancies in my movers invoices.So, my takeaways were:1. Heres an experienced moving pro willing to take a call from someone who isnt a client and devising a way to solve my problem.2. He shed light on the foggy areas in moving that other movers steer clear of.3. He led me to resources I didnt have to help me effectively communicate my requirements to my moving company.4. He offered his time at any point in the future if I needed help with a moving question or issue.5. Im not a client, most likely wont ever be a client due to my geographic location and here he is spending time to help me.6. It makes me wonder, if hes doing this for me - what the heck do his clients get?7. It must be a low stress, satisfying and totally efficient experience working with Avatar on a move.If youre moving into or out of New York, youd be missing out on a dead solid moving experience if you didnt use these guys.P.S. Ive moved six times in the last 20 years and have experienced all manner of moving companies - mostly mediocre at best. They need to open an office in my area so I can see how a move should really go!
Avatar packed and moved our household goods from Greenlawn NY to North Carolina. The experience was excellent overall from on time arrival to pack us up to delivery in NC at the requested location, time and date. All of our things were carefully packed and nothing was broken or missing when delivered to NC. Chris Noblit was a pleasure to work with. He quickly responded when called, followed up and made sure all of the various parts of the move were proceeding on time and at the agreed cost. Overall I would use Avatar again without question. This is a great moving company.

Billy and Chris are down to earth people and have a great staff throughout their organization. They always do what they say theyre going to do, and theres never any surprises! I just have to say Avatar did a great job with my move. (Texas to Long Island) Chris Noblit did a fantastic job of coordinating everything and making sure it was also convenient with my schedule. He was professional and courteous, made sure everything was taken care of. I would definitely recommend Avatar moving services if you had to pack up and move.
Chris and the team that moved us across country in January 2015 were top notch. They handled all of the obstacles that came along the way with finess ( mostly issues with my companys relocation processes) and really helped us however we needed, delays, changes of addresses, we had such a roller coaster and Avatar helped us not have to worry. They helped my parents and their stuff was in storage for a month, our inlaws came too, and they did a great job packing, moving and even the teams they chose in TX were also fantastic. We have already recommended them to others, and will continue to do so in the future
Couldnt have asked for a better moving service! Chris Noblit was extremely professional and helpful, and his moving crew was as well. Chris even helped me figure out how to load things into 2 crates instead of 3, saving me money. He even gave me advise on how to fix my marble vanity. His crew was very careful with my things, organized, and polite. Best moving experience Ive had - and this was a cross-country move!
Fantastic experience with Avatar.I reached out at the last minute when I realized my move was going to be much bigger and complicated than anticipated. Over the holidays, they organized themselves to move 2 homes from NY to FL. They made it happen with a real can-do attitude; they accommodated every last minute request; nothing was a problem!They also made every effort to deliver in a way that worked with my schedule.A definite WOW experience.
They were great. Chris Noblit and his team did an excellent job. Chris worked with me when I had to reschedule because my closing changed. And also got the moving team to my house at 8 am as I requested and to the new location which was five miles away by 11:30 and done at my new home by 2pm, so I could make it to my closing by 4pm. They did a fine job setting up my furniture and no marks on any of my walls.
Never thought I would have a moving experience that I loved but these guys are great. We had a huge move over two days with 2 trucks and 6 guys each day. They went about their job in a professional matter, took good care of our stuff and did it while smiling. Would highly recommend! One caveat, this site says that they move electronics, which was not the case with us. Otherwise, everything was great! Felt like we made new friends; missed them when they were gone.
1st off let me say Christopher (The owner?) Was an absolute pleasure!!! So personable and kind. He even called me to have a separate discussion w/me asking where my special needs son will be during the hours of the move, genuinely concerned that it may be overwhelming for him. I was so touched to know he even thought of my sons well being and how he shared info on how moves, no matter how positive they may be can be extremely stressful on family members with disabilities. He was fair, honest and upfront with all info. He provided me with all I needed and the movers were equally sweet and patient as I had no help with my move, besides them. I will certainly use Avatar again and will share my experience with anyone in need of such service. Thanks Chris!!!!
We recently used Avatar to move furniture from Long Island to our daughter in Palmetto Bay, Fl. Although we had a couple minor glitches, I was very satisfied with Avatar overall. The furniture arrived a day ahead of schedule and the move actually cost less than projected. I would use Avatar again and would refer them to others.
I relocated from NJ to MI and Avatar made my relocation very easy. The crew with whom I interacted at both states were courteous and helpful. Special mention should go to Chris. He is a great professional. He is always reachable (phone or email) and takes care of your requirements very well. I would definitely recommend Avatar.
Very professional movers. We moved last week from Long Island to NC, everything arrived quickly, nothing lost or broken. Price is very reasonable. We are very pleased with the service, and would recommend Avatar Relocation to long distance move.
Dont judge this book by the cover! The initial visit for price quote was great. They appeared to be very professional. I made it clear that I was moving from Garden City to NYC and my NYC building will not let you move in past 5:00. I also said I would pack up my kitchen and small knick-knacks, but wanted them packing everything else. I wanted to make sure they packed my lamps and large glass object because I knew if I packed them and they were damaged insurance would not pay. I was told it was an hourly quote and they would do anything I need. I told them the only way I would hire them is if they started at 8:00am. They said no problem. The day before the move I call to confirm they are coming because I did not hear from them. They confirm they are coming between 8-9. I should have known then, but I said no 8:00. They said as close to 8 as possible. The day of the move they did not show up until 9:45. The one mover was a heavy set man and when he saw the apartment was two flights up he started complaining. When he got into the apartment he asked why the lamps were not packed. He said he had NO boxes and was told he was not packing. When I got upset he says maybe we should just do the move the next day. After some yelling, crying and much frustration they started the move. It was a mess! When I arrived into the city they had a crew that had finished another job join them to make sure everything got off the truck in time. I had 7 men moving boxes and furniture into my 1 bedroom apt. They had only loaned me the wardrobe boxes so I had to dump everything out so they could take them back. Had the move started on time this would not have been a problem. The most disturbing part of the move was when we left Garden city my daughter says she is really concerned for 2 of the men that they had get in the back of the truck and put a roll of tape to prop the door open a crack. It was about 85 degrees and my daughter thought they would suffocate in the back. If this is how they treat the employees you can only imagine how they treat you and how the employees feel about working! Stay away.
We were considered a high end move where we had to put 80% of our furniture in storage for a few months. We had several items damaged. Literally cracks in custom made furniture. While it was wrapped OK, it seemed like they were dropped or not taken care of well when it was moved between house and storage and back to house. We paid about $10,000 to move. We asked Avatar to split the cost of our furniture repair bill of $4000 to $2000 but was offered $1200 which was the standard .60 a pound. They would not step up and do the right thing for the other $800 we asked for. BTW, if we would have bought the insurance we would have lost anyway based on deductions. I found it hard to believe they would. BE CAREFULL IS USING THEM AND PUTTING ANYTHING INTO STORAGE!
After 23 years in our home on Long Island it was time to move on. Chris Noblitt from Avatar was great. He came to my home three times because I was unsure of how everything works, as we had been in our home so long. It was time to move to New Hampshire. He was professional, courteous and explained everything to me. No hidden fees and no overweights. Well moving day arrived, the drivers Rob, Hank and George were excellent. I never saw such hard working men. We just sat and watched. They did everything Chris said they would do. My mattresses even went into boxes. I never saw anything like it. Not only were they professional, they were so kind and courteous. The entire house was on the truck. Not one problem. I cant say enough about the three guys.We were so happy when we heard Rob and Hank would be coming to New Hampshire. They arrived early in the morning and had loft stairs, basement, garage, and house to load into. They were absolutely great. The most professional men I have ever had work in our home. I cannot believe the hard work they do. There was not one scratch on anything. My bedroom that I was so worried about getting up the loft stairs was no problem to them at all. They took such great care of everything. We had the best move ever. All my worries disappeared as soon as they arrived in our Long Island home. I will forever remember them and always recommend Chris Noblitt to anyone I know moving. Hopefully you get our team! I think Chris gave us his best team he had. Cant say enough about the hard working men!! As they pulled away from New Hampshire my husband said you see thats why you want professionals, they know exactly how to do everything and all was done with such ease. They were the nicest most courteous professional men both on Long Island and New Hampshire. I just cant say enough. Thank you Chris, Rob, Hank and George (LI end). We moved locally about a month ago and the move went great!We called the company only several days before our move (which is probably not recommended -- it worked for us because we moved on a weekday), but Chris came right away to give us an estimate. Then on the day of the move, 3 guys showed up on time, were very friendly and worked hard. The whole move finished in 4.5 hours, much less than the estimated time. We had many heavy books so it would have been very difficult for us to do it ourselves, and we are really glad that we chose to work with them.Thank you very much for your service and all your hard work!
From start to finish there were no issues at all. Glenn was pleasant to deal with initially and the team that moved us was efficient and polite as well. Our move consisted of leaving one home and dropping off at two others. All was handled in one day and in good time. Couldnt ask for more.
My company works with Avatar Relocation and they do a ton of moves for us. The person that got with me over the phone was helpful and patient and helped set up the move quickly. They explained everything well and paperwork was taken care of quickly. At every step the were on time to the minute that they said they would be there.I was out of state when they picked up the stuff and helped work with a family member to pick up the items. They packed up everything nicely and I did not find a single thing broken or missing. They even packed up all of the loose tools and car parts in my garage.The driver was kind and one of the nicest person I have ever meet, and I we were treated like family from the beginning. I have nothing but great things to say for the people that I interacted with at Avatar and wish that all companies worked as hard as these folks did and hired people that were as kind, which is a nice thing when going through something stressful as a move.
We moved from L.I., NY to Calabash , NC. had to put my furniture and things in storage for 7 months. Great job. everything arrived in one piece, load out crew and delivery crew were neat and professional..Cost was as quoted and no hidden extras. Would definitely use them again if I had to. I highly recommend them.
We were confused, go with a binding quote, or non binding. Even though binding gives a person the impression that the price cant go up, it actually can if the weight was under quoted. With Avatar, you pay for your weight, there is no guessing game, as long as it was estimated correctly. In our case it was estimated to within 100 lbs of the weight, so we paid the quoted price and not a penny more. (the quote was lower than all the binding quotes we received) So the move form NY to FL went smooth, with everything arriving undamaged. The two men who unloaded the truck were patient, willing to move around the furniture to different locations in the new house to help us see where it would look the best. The salesman Steve Kendall was helpful, and returned calls promptly. I would highly recommend this company.
Used the company service in Oct 2014 to move stuff from NY to NJ. It was a bit on the expensive side but it was totally worth it. Chris is really nice and a complete professional and so are his movers. We got everything delivered on time and without issues. I highly recommend them.
I used their services recently to move from Los Angeles to Detroit. It was of the highest calibre. The movers were very efficient and professional and they were very careful with my luggage. The co-ordinators were friendly and very helpful as well. I would readily recommend their services!
Decided to hire these guys for a 2 day move last week, after i read all the amazing reviews. man am i glad i did.special shout out to the crew!!Rob,Hank,Ben,GeorgeGlen, and Marcello. they were all so helpful, really made the entire ordeal simple and easy.they showed up on time, worked their asses off, and delivered everything as promised.only issue i had was one of my boxes that were labeled fragile was dropped and lost 5 high end bottles of bourbon, other than that, no issues.i am working with their insurance company to resolve the loss (stay tuned for an update_if youre moving , dont look any further, Ive used other top companies in the past, but i can say that these guys were the best - HANDS down!
Glenn & Glenn showed up in NY to pack up my stuff and they were great. At my new place, Dave & JR were just as accommodating. Even with the full insurance, the total was just under the estimate price. What a pleasant company to deal with when moving.

Ok, first and foremost their pricing was more than fair and reasonable. We did our homework in regards to pricing before we moved our business that was in bay shore for 19 years. Secondly and maybe even more important was that they were reliable. They said they were coming at a certain time and the guys were there exactly when they said they were coming. I mean this is a class act group of guys from upper mgmt to the staff. Santa is one of the most hardworking and friendly guys we have ever met. Avatar Relocation had many 5 star reviews.I called Avatar and met with Chris, who discussed my move and gave me an estimate. I told Chris that I would select his company based on the many positive reviews of his company and the feeling that I had about his company.Rob and his crew handled our move in mid-June. They were very professional, efficient and conscientious. They loaded our household goods in several hours, and delivered them to our destination the following day.I never worried about the move beforehand because I had complete faith in Chriss company. The move was very smooth due to Rob and his great crew-nothing was broken or missing.My advice to any reader is very simple. If you want a hassle-free, well-priced move, hire Avatar Relocation. You wont regret it.

2021-11-19So happy we went with the Avatar team for our move to a new house. From the initial meeting with Chris for an estimate to the team being on time and ready to roll on move day, it was nothing but a pleasant experience. I didnt have to think of anything as they were well prepared and professional. They took well care of my very fragile, thin-glassed china cabinet and disassembled and reassembled our platform bed with no problem. The team was very courteous and always moving. I would recommend them to anyone looking for quality services!

2021-05-25Avatar Relocation out of New York (Long Island) was an extremely favorable experience. They say moving is one of the most stressful times in a persons life, but I have to say that Danny and his crew made it so simple and reassuring. They did an awesome job packing our house and loading everything into the truck for our move to California. The delivery took place about a week later and couldnt have gone smoother. Dannys leadership and attention to detail was outstanding! All our items were delivered in excellent condition without a single scratch and nothing was broken. My wife and I were so impressed with the professionalism that I asked Danny if I could keep his number for future moves. Since our move to CA, Danny has been our go to guy for my brothers moves and Danny recently moved my parents from GA to MN!Incredible service, great communications, punctual, and you are treated like family. Dannys demeanor and charisma make you want to become his friend! 2021-07-22These guys are great!We recently moved from Long Island to Pennsylvania and decided to hire Avatar after meeting with and receiving an estimate from Chris, one of the owners.On moving day, Rob and his crew showed up promptly at 8am and by noon had loaded our entire 3 bedroom home onto the truck. They met us the next morning in PA and just 5 hours later had unloaded some of our things into our new apartment and the rest into 2 storage lockers that are located about a mile away. These guys work their tales off. They are professional, respectful, honest, friendly and well humored.When it came time to settle the bill I was told that our load came in 600 lbs. underweight which saved us a few hundred bucks off the estimate. They didnt have to do that, but it speaks to the honesty and integrity of this company.I could not imagine a better moving experience.

2020-04-23We did a move from Long Island to New Jersey. I can say enough good things about Avatar. Chris came to our house was very friendly and thorough, gave us tips and advice. Wasn’t pushy and pricing was very good. The guys who moved us were excellent- showed up on time - were very careful with our furniture and boxes. Polite, clean, professional and prompt. I can’t say enough good things about our experience with Avatar. I would definitely recommend them.

2020-03-24We had a wonderful experience with my move from Long Island to South Florida. We received quotes from a few companies and all said that Avatar could not deliver in such a short time frame. I confirmed with Chris if they could do it and he said yes. Sure enough we got our home delivered right when he said. It was imperative as we had two babies to take care of; that we get our items ASAP, and they delivered. Additionally the weight of the order was significantly less than estimated which was reflected that with a notable discount over what was estimated. In both instances of trust which is so paramount in movers they delivered with flying colors.We had them do a full pack up of our home and everything came in pristine condition. Their packing crew was wonderful and got everything done so fast.I would highly recommend Avatar to anybody looking for a moving company. We are so happy we selected them.

2021-03-02I highly recommend Chris N. and his exceptional company for your next move. During the process of preparing to move from Long Island to Florida I interviewed 6 moving companies. I read every review, called some companies multiple times to question their policies and how their process would work. I called Avatar movers last as I became frustrated at how sleazy all the other movers made me feel.Well that feeling ended when I met with Chris Noblit at my home to get an estimated quote. He was very professional, honest and upfront about the whole process. His policies on downpayment and final payment were the best I could find. I also was able to put the whole cost on my credit card which was fantastic and safe. Chris gave an estimated weight based on what he saw at our home and I couldn’t believe that he was accurate within a few pounds. Amazing!On moving day the most polite, hardworking crew arrived and my wife and I immediately knew we had made the right choice. They took care of every detail and were gentle and caring with our stuff. Danny the driver was excellent and gave us his cell number. He told us we could call him at any time and get informed about when we could expect him to arrive.I also need to point out that Avatar is not the cheapest, nor the most expensive. Their price was right in the middle. They have the fairest policy on weight charges and it’s all very upfront, fair and honest. I was surprised at all of the hidden fees and tricks other movers employ and felt safe using Avatar.I am a very good shopper and try hard to vet every company and vendor I use. I can confidently recommend Avatar moving for your move without hesitation.

2016-10-19I hired Chris and his crew to move a less than full truckload from Long Island to the Berkshires in July of 2016. As I had plenty of time they picked up the items several weeks prior to their being delivered which was fine with me. The pick up crew was a great group of guys taking every care with my possessions which included furniture as well as boxes of belongings. When the delivery date was determined I was given ample warning so I could be at the site that day. The delivery crew was amazing. They were just as pleasant as the pick up crew and were very helpful.My experiences with Avatar Relocation of NY were exemplary and I wholeheartedly recommend them for any moving project, large or small. From beginning to end everyone was amazing and helpful. Offers to save money by doing certain things myself were made when practical. And I think more importantly we were treated well even though we were moving against the grain in a northern direction instead of southern.Thank you Chris and crews for a most wonderful experience!

2014-10-30Our experience with Avatar Relocation was an excellent experience from the estimate of cost to the final delivery. Chris was very professional, and explained in detail what we could expect. Dan, our truck driver, was great. He made sure that all furniture, boxes, and misc items were protected at the time of loading. We were able to contact him from the departure to delivery to verify an exact time of delivery. The loading teams at pickup and delivery were extremely careful to prevent damage to our possessions. We would recommend Avatar for your moving experience.
