The fellas fixed my 20 year old Yukon. I was notified along the way of changes/given updates etc. So, Theyll be my new mechanics. I appreciate them all greatly. Congrats to Dustin on that new baby btw!
Just had new Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max tires installed. Time in and out 1 hr 40 minutes. Nice, family owned staff, close to my home in Kirkwood. I may get all my auto service done here!
Always been respectful and helpful when I have taken my car there. I dont think they overcharge me and have always been honest about work that needs to be done.

We found this to be a wonderful family run business!! They stayed open late to rescue us from a potential disaster.I accidentally put diesel in my car on a road trip heading back from a family reunion further up in New York. Matt was a rockstar in helping us and provided excellent customer service without passing judgement! He saved our SUV and our road trip!!We hope that other people find Avery Auto Service as helpful and attentive as we did.
My husband and I will only go to Avery Auto! The best reliable, honest, small family own business around. Has become one of our favorite auto places and has really great prices and deals.
Went in for an oil leak, $1100 later and my car is only running on 3 cylinders and they are telling me to pay over $600 just to get it diagnosed and they are telling me if I can get the parts out they will give me a partial refund. Stay away from avery auto.
My wifes Lincoln Navigator needed a new engine, Matt and his team worked diligently with the warranty company to ensure it was done in a timely manner and at the best price available. Avery Auto is by far the best shop in town and in the Broome County Area, they are a knowledgeable and a reasonable family owned business. I recommend seeing Avery Auto for all your automotive needs, Tom, Steve, Dustin, Matt and the team are the best in the business.
Was traveling through New York and had a tire blowout due to road debris on the highway. The lady at the counter was super helpful, and understanding of my situation-- I am grateful they were able to accommodate me just walking in. The service is exceptional, they really went the extra mile.
This is the worst garage I have ever been to. What the other reviewer said about how they treat women badly is very true. The check engine light was on in my truck. Someone suggested I take it to Averys. I took it there and Tom the mechanic told me I needed three sensors and a muffler and it would pass inspection. He estimated the repairs to cost around $500. I didnt have it so I borrowed the money. After he made the repairs, he told me to drive it for about 100 miles then bring it back for inspection. After a few days I reached 100 and brought it back. On the day I was hoping to pass inspection he came to me and said I needed a few things done to get it to pass. I couldnt believe he said I needed more repairs. The week before he said those repairs would make it pass inspection and now here is he with another list. He said I needed studs for my wheel ($132) , a power steering box ($450) , a front end alignment ($75) and a new horn ($35). I told him I didnt have $700 right now and he shrugged his shoulders, got up and went to the girl behind the desk and asked her to copy the estimate. Then he turned around and walked out the door into the garage. I yelled thank you very much and he just closed the door. She answered for him and said he says youre welcome. He made me feel so bad about myself I wanted to cry. I felt as though I was being treated as a sub human just because Im a female and I didnt have the money to fix my truck.. When I got into my truck I realized he took the inspection sticker off. I accept full responsibility for the fact that my inspection was late and my sticker expired. I went inside and asked why he took it off. I was appalled when he looked at me and literally laughed like it was a joke and said by law it has to come off and yes if a cop sees it mising you will get a ticket. I asked about a ten day extension and again he laughed and said sorry New York wont issue an extension for a safety issue. I see nothing funny about not having a sticker in my windshield. At the recommendation of a family member, I brought it to Country Club Service in Endwell and learned the only thing I needed to pass inspection were the studs for my wheel. The horn was just a fuse (5). He said there is nothing wrong with the power steering box at all and the front end is aligned just fine. I told him what I was told at Averys and he said people like that give mechanics a bad name and he put the studs and lug nuts on my truck for free. He also fixed my horn. All it cost me was the inspection fee of $10. Ever since Avery worked on my truck I have an oil leak. My truck has been parked in my driveway for years and if there was a leak I would have seen oil spots. The very next day from being at Averys I have a huge oil spot on my driveway. I have never been so angry and disgusted with a garage in my whole life. The experience I had at Country Club renewed my faith in mechanics and I will be bringing my vehicles there from now on. I suggest you stay away from Avery if you care about your car and your bank account.

2022-05-11Seriously these guys are so nice and helpful. I had spark plug emergency and they were able to fit us in after going to 3 other shops that didn’t even try to help us. They fixed the spark plugs and they said one of the coils needed to be replaced as well and got that fixed within 15 minutes. Most places like this I feel like I’m talked down too or taken advantage of but these guys were super nice and seemed to actually want to fix your car, not just make money off of you.

2022-01-06I am so impressed with Avery Auto. They are a family run business and are very knowledgeable, honest and reasonably priced Buy 5 oil changes and get your 6th free. I totally love the tires I bought there. They are all season tires that are almost as good as any snow tire I have had in the past. Kumho tires.

2021-09-29Took in my truck to get the ac fixed and instead of really fixing it. After telling me it was a simple fix. They got it too work and instead of checking for leaks and then continuing to repair. Which they put die in which makes sense but wouldnt you wait and see if there is a leak, Before having me pay 107 bucks just too come back and have me say hey theres a leak can you fix 100% this time. I would just figure im already there so why not give me the full work. Possible leak or not. Just do it all right there. I was there for an hour and 40 minutes for a simple fix with a scheduled appointment just have to come back and spend money again. Not off to a good start guys.

2020-10-31Called them on the phone and they were able to fit me in the next day and accommodate to my schedule (as a teacher needing a spot after school hours). Once I got there the oil change was easy. There was even a bored toddler in the waiting room and the man sitting behind the desk was happy to give her paper from the printer to color on. I will absolutely be going there again if/when my car needs something. Thanks Avery Auto!

2019-06-09Great service! Avery Auto, being a family owned business, is one of the best automotive repair shops in the Southern Tier. They have reasonable pricing, wont break things on purpose and have you come back. One of the only repair shops I have found that is there to satisfy a customer rather than their own wallet. 2020-01-15After being with the same garage in our area for more than 15 years, things changed when the ownership changed. While at a hockey game at the arena several weeks ago, we saw an ad for Avery Auto Service and the ice shovelers on the rank with the Avery Auto Service shovels. We decided to give them a try. We have never looked back since. From the wonderful ladies that answer the phones at the front desk, to the gentleman in the middle and all the way to the back. And a special thank you to Matt, for treating us like family not just a number or person with a checkbook. If you need any kind of Auto work done to your car even if its something as simple as an inspection please do give this Auto Service Company a try you wont be disappointed.
