I want this info to receive her Manager and her Manager I request to provide for her a specijal recognition for the excellent work and service.
Best team of workers! The rental team are helpful and curious. They called a man up from the lower building to assist me, he was so helpful and very respectful and helped me with car. The car was clean and just perfect. Making my experience totally beyond my expectations. I think his name was Eric. It very hard today to find such nice down to earth workers, who really care. The experience was wonderful!
Absolutely brilliant. 100% going to rent from Avis at Stewart International next time Im in the US. Car was clean and in good nick. No issues at all with drop off or pick up.Special shout out to Mary, I was rather upset when I went to pick up the car (driving on the wrong side of the road and driving in heavy traffic for the first time) she was really good to me, got me calmed down a bit and even upgraded my to a standard car saying that the roads are less intimidating in a slightly bigger car (she was 100% correct, I wouldnt have survived in a compact and Ill be renting a standard or bigger next time too). Really thankful to her.
I reserved a compact car online one day in advance. When I arrived, all of the paperwork and the key were ready to go. The employee processed me and quickly pointed me in the direction of my vehicle. He was polite, helpful and wasnt pushy when trying to sell me extras that I didnt want. When I dropped the vehicle off at noontime on Saturday, nobody was there, but a drop-box made it much more convenient.This was my first time using Avis after having previous bad experiences with Enterprise. One advantage with Avis is they always start you off with a full tank of gas, as opposed to Enterprise which could start you off with a quarter of tank (its very difficult to judge your fuel mileage so you return it the same way). Avis policy of starting you off with a full tank avoids that problem.The car was very clean - it looks like they must clean it after each rental.Instead of getting a ride there, I parked my personally owned vehicle in the airport parking lot (didnt trust it for the long-distance drive I was making). Since Stewart Airport chased away all of the major airlines and hardly does any business, the long-term parking lot was nearly empty, and I was still able to park close enough to walk to Avis and only paid $10 to park for 24 hours.
Great experience at Stewart Airport. Very friendly person greeted me when I arrived at the counter. In and out within 10 minutes. Rented a Chevy Malibu, and a great value for the money. When returning the car, it took less than 5 minutes and I was done. I would highly recommend Avis for anyone wishing to rent a car.
Did not realize I would be charged mileage after only 100 miles was not brought to my attention at the time of rental..plus the nick picking over the gas! I filled the tank and was told I would be charged for 2 gallons because when I left with the rental it had 20 gals I returned it with 18. How was I supposed to know that?! I filled the tank. The needle said full. How do you know how many gallons are in the tank when there is no way for me, the consumer, to know? This is so petty of Avis. I plan on advising everyone I know to be careful when renting from Avis because of these 2 things. Double check their reservation take nothing for granted and watch your gas.
I was in an accident while driving an Avid rental. It was a little nerve wracking and they took such good care of me. There were no cars at the local Avis so they arranged and paid for a Lyft to pick me up and drive me to the nearest location that could accommodate my needs. It doesnt end there. I had so much stuff in the wrecked rental that I had to rent a cart at the airport to trolly my belongings. The lady that helped me at that location had my car brought up curb side and had the gentleman that brought my car up help load my things into the new rental. This experience has really made me appreciate Avis and the way these people took care of me in a frazzling moment. Thanks Avis!
The team at steward was wonderful. I was traveling with two small kids and it started to pour and the team was gratious enough to drop us at the side entrance rather than have us walk through the pouring rain with two small children, car seats and strollers. THANK YOU! Definitely went above and beyond!
Avis Preferred Customers - Stay away from location with poor customer service and poor quality Avis Preferred cars along with am avis app choose your own car that does not work (READ Reviews at other sites to comparer/another customer with same problems - Is AVIS Corporate not listening to customer reviews andexperiences here?)We rent cars nationwide and are executive elite with National, Hertz Gold and Avis Preferred.WORST AVIS PREFERRED CUSTOMER Service Award of the Country goes to this location and its Manager.A. A Manager who called herself Lynn should not be the manager here and should be in a non customer facing role. Rudest Avis Preferred Service Manager award goes to Lynn.B. Checked in online as usual, picked the car and went to pick up but then told by Unfriendly Lynn (without an apologies but only an Attitude) that I have been given another vehicle. No Apologies - just attitude. This individual needs Customer Service Training ASAP.C. Vehicles - The vehicle I was then given as a PREFERRED customer was a car with chips of paint in tbe hood so I had to go back tbe long distance back to the avis desk for something they should have done before they gave mw a car I did not pick.First and last time I rent here until there are Management and Avis Preferred changes.There is enough stress to travel, the last thing any of us need is an Avis Manager that adds to that stress.
Keisha at Avis is the bomb!!!! She made renting a car the easiest experience ever. Even after I ran into weather problems and flight cancellations, Keisha kept me sane, and worked everything out with no problems at all. I wouldnt hesitate to rent from Avis again because of her!
Friendly staff, efficient service, clean cars, convenient location. My favorite AVIS location.The AVIS Team at Stewart Newburgh is still top notch and they are still my favorite AVIS folks.However, the airport managers recently moved all of the rental car parking to a remote location instead of the close and convenient parking right in front of the terminal. The rental car companies had no say in the decision and are not at fault for moving the pick-up and drop-off parking so far from the terminal. If there is any snow this winter, it is going to be a really bad walk to/from the rental car lot.
Was The car was constable it was suppose to have a full tank and it had a 3cuats of a tamk an i did return in full. And it was not washed on the outside. The first lady that attended me that gave the car was very nice. The one on the counter at the return did not care much wen i told her about the gas.
DO NOT SKIMP ON TIME IF YOU NEED A SHUTTLE TO DEPARTURE GATE!My husband was extremely frustrated by the process of dropping the van off and getting to the airport departure gate. Took shuttle not to airport but to a city bus to another shuttle and finally the airport. Time consuming and stressful.That being said van probably could have been cleaner as it was obvious children had been in it before. But as we have had children we were probably more understanding than if we hadnt.We did not have children on this trip just a lot of family. So wipes to the rescue. Other than that the van was very comfortable to drive and we had not trouble.
Arrived at Stewart on the memorial weekend and my booked car was not available so I got an immediate upgrade .. our return flight was cancelled and the Stewart team again were extremely helpful and we organised an extra days hire.The Avis team at Stewart were excellent and confirmed why I always try and use Avis
I had reservation today, i had such bad experiece. Lady didnt know what she was doing. I had toadside she didnt put it, i added additional driver she didnt know. Then she ask my co worker for major credit card when the account was business. I dont know why they have an app and policy and they dont go by it. Waste my time

They are always very accommodating and go over and beyond to assist me and make sure I am happy with my car rental. It is always a pleasant experience, and I appreciate all that they do! 2022-06-09Although the counter was supposed to be closed at 530pm at Stewart Newburgh Airport, the service rep waited for the 6pm flight that landed to help the customers that rented. Great customer service which is very rare in this day and age!! Thank you

2019-09-27Location was Stewart Airport, Mary was so so nice , pleasant , and professional. Upgraded vehicle for a price we could not refuse. Lot attendant, whom I wish I had gotten her name was also one of the nicest people we have dealt with ! Avis is very fortunate to have employees like this, and we all know nowadays that is a rare thing . Thanks again Mary!

2021-09-10Nothing at all was explained to me regarding the features of the vehicle. I was handed the keys, told the pick up point was in the second lot and look for the painted number on the ground. I wasnt explained how to even start the vehicle not personally being a new car owner. There was a half mile walk to the parking lot over uneven ground with luggage in tow. I am 73 years old. The parking lot was just that. No attendant. You had to just continue to walk around looking for your vehicle number painted on the ground. I cant even imagine what happens when it snows or there is pouring rain. I was lucky!

2021-12-14When I arrived at the airport, I was issued a Chevy Suburban. The rear passenger tire was low, I went to the front desk and the attendant advised that the mechanic was not available. The next day, I discovered a nail in the tire. I responded back to the airport and exchanged the vehicle without any hesitation from the front desk clerk.

2021-08-27They brought the car to curb and placed my luggage inside for me. They were all very friendly. The car was very nice except for a few scratches. Thank you for the great experience I will be renting from avis in future

2021-04-12First experience was good was able to get a decent rental at a decent price. Second experience was terrible. It is unlawful in the state of New York to refuse to rent a vehicle solely on the absence of credit card ownership. However they were unwilling to provide further options to allow me to rent.

2021-06-29If I could give them 0 stars I would. My first experience with them was ok . Even though one of the counter ladies was hostile and rude . She made a big deal about my name being different on my license and credit card . Well I got married during the pandemic and social security has yet to change my name. I was overcharge for what I was quoted for on Priceline . I just needed to rent today because my car had to go back in the shop. Priceline quoted me 268.00 and they tried to charge my credit car 468.00. They said this was a $200 hold that they have to charge . My credit card has a $400 max , so I offered my bank card . They refused saying that they can’t accept bank cards . The usual rude lady was still rude and I had to ask for the manager and she came over saying that their policies changed since last month . They would not let me pay for the extra $68 with another card or change my reservation days. I believe that if I looked like them they would’ve offered me help . The sad part about the world today is that some people rather give you a hard time then help you out . Mind you today was 91 degrees and I had my son with me waiting. These people really think I’d rather drive their Kia versus my BMW… I gladly got my husband to come pick us up and wait the three days for my car to come from the shop . These people are ridiculous and heartless. Poor customer service and rude.
