The best Pork Souvlaki I ever had! I like their Tsaziki very much! My husband liked their Gyro! Highly recommendable.
I’ve ordered a small Greek salad with chicken souvlaki everyday this week- it’s consistently delicious and literally all I can think about eating right now. Their spicy feta is SO GOOD, too.
Stopped by today for lunch and I was very impressed with the food. We ordered the Kopanisti dip and two salads with chicken donor. Everything was incredibly fresh and so delicious. The food came out with good timing and the staff was very friendly and welcoming!! Definitely will make it a point to come here several times a month, if not several times a week!!! :-)
Taste of home. Everything was delicious. Will definitely be returning. My daughter was telling me about this place. Decided to check it out. A lot closer than Astoria. 😊😋
Ive tried several Greek places around my area and Avli is the BEST HANDS DOWN. Unlike the competition, Avlis chicken souvlaki is nicely spiced, char-broiled and moist. Greek fries to die for trust me. Friendly service and free local delivery make it a winner!
My husband just picked up take out a Chicken Gyro Sandwich, and a Greek Salad with grilled chicken. The salad is good, seemingly more expensive than another local greek take out. The Chicken Gyro Sandwich is terrible. Ive never had such grisly dried out chicken. The meat in the chicken gyros I have had previous from other Greek food is made with sliced thin chicken and juicy. This is extremely chewy, and looks horrible as well. This will be my last take out from Avli.
Aweful. Food is ok but they rob you blind,pricing is $3.00 more than their own menu for each item. When you ask y they say it’s not their menu? Pathetic. Raise your prices fine don’t steal it from people and blame the pandemic.
DEElicious!! Ive been searching for a good local, quick Greek place for a very long time without success but this place nailed it! Spicy feta 🔥 tzakiki 🎯 I Dont like my tzakiki too watery or too thick and theirs was perfect!! just between those 2 alone were off to a great start! The gyro meat was thinly sliced and had a great crisp but wasnt dry. The pita that came with the sampler were light and airy but felt freshly baked & im 15 mins away with no traffic..like even home made maybe?? Lemon potatoes were delish we were all stuffed but couldnt stop picking at them & fries were yummy too. Salad was fresh and crisp and not drowning in dressing.My parents had spanakopita, and pork & chicken souvlaki and devoured it. They werent crazy about the hummus it was a tad bland but the yummy dolmadakia made up for it!The whole meal was really really good!! Great quality food, reasonably priced, and an authentic menu. Ill def be back i highly recommend
I will never patronize Bayside , and his other restaurants again. The owner sees me there all the time. I go to the take out restaurant in Bellmore often. The owner in Bayside talks to me and says if you need anything ask. So I made plans with eight of my relatives to dine at his restaurant tomorrow. I call first to give the restaurant a heads up. Well the owner that says just ask if you need anything refused to accommodate me. Claims 8 people will stay to long. And 6 won’t ? He was nasty to. Will NEVER patronize any of his places again and let all my friends know that I have recommended not to go here. I gave a good google review to this nasty owner Hope I can take it down
We ordered the falafel (mildly spicy), hummus, Tirokafteri and skirt steak. Everything was cooked to perfection and it all tasted like authentic home made flavors.
I am quite dissaponted. No one in this place believes in wearing a mask properly. The point of it is to cover your face and nose. The cooks had them h see their nose, I’m assuming the manager had his under his nose as well and the delivery kid was just waking around not wearing one at all. I get it no one wants to wear it but seraiouly. Even while no one is in the place they are not wearing a mask. I will not be back.
Terrible food!! Expectations were high because the other locations are great. The Bellmore location just doesn’t live up to the Avili name.The “Owner “ likes to charge for sauces and salad dressing?!? He really must be desperate. A 5 min drive to Sufiya’s grill in East Meadow is well worth it!!
This is the second time ordering a small Greek salad with chicken gyro for takeout and both times I was disappointed. I hoped the first time was maybe a bad day, but again the chicken was dry and the cucumbers were clear in color/not fresh and tomatoes were mushy. Not impressed for $13.
Love this place in bayside and so happy it’s so close by now. Best Gyro and tzatiki HANDS down. BEST GREEK FOOD IN LONG ISLAND. ALSO- we catered for new years and everyone loved it !!! Will definitely cater again. Thank you !

The best Greek food you can find on long island. They just opened at this location but have had others for many years closer to Queens. A must try to anyone nearby.

Im happy that Alvis opened this location, I had to travel to West Hempstead to get my Greek food fix. This place has classic Greek cuisine at a reasonable price.

2022-06-04Although put waitress seemed a bit overwhelmed, she was polite and friendly. The food was excellent! Lighting and ambience had a nice Italian family feel. Highly recommend you stop by.

2022-01-23I just ordered takeout from Avli for the first time and am in love! I ordered the keftedakia and the maroulosalata salad. The keftedakia are the best I have had in years! The salad was so fresh and delicious; it didn’t need any dressing and was the perfect pairing for the keftedakia. Avli will be my only go to for Greek food.

2022-01-04I placed my order on GrubHub for delivery. It hard enough to get ahold of anyone by phone. The original order says that the order is due to deliver by 5pm, then it gets pushed to 530 (no big deal), then 6pm. By this point Im a little frustrated and call the location and get no answer. Its 615 so I decide to drive to the location. It ends up they are unexpectedly closed yet the hours would imply otherwise. Would it make sense not to take orders if you are closed? Its just a really poorly run establishment. Greek restaurants are a dime a dozen over here. Go elsewhere

2021-08-06This place is awesome…..food is delicious. I’ve gone a handful of times and had the gyros which are great. Tonight I decided to try the skirt steak dinner with potatoes. It was delicious and lemon chicken soup was great too. Very clean and people are super friendly.

2021-06-19Great place food is cooked to order. Clean well run place with alot of take out. People coming alot of repeat orders. Everyone picking up saying the food was good. I ordered a souvlaki I got my nails done next door and decided to eat it there. They where joking making me feel comfortable eating alone. He told me they are opening another store in Saint James with outside dining and sit down. I am sure it will be Fantastic they care their customers are happy. Walk in alone and sit right down the place is spotless.

2020-11-22First time I have eaten here and the food was great. My friends told me about it and so glad we tried this place. Great gyros, my order and other meals that my buddies ate. Try the lemon potatoes too. Cant wait to go back, owner was so nice too.
