What a pleasant local find! It is clear this business takes a lot of pride in itself and its community. I was standing outside waiting for a friend so as I was idling about, I saw in their window a sign had been posted from a nearby school thanking the business for its contribution of notebooks for their students. When I entered the establishment itself, it was clean and decorated well with seasonal ornaments. This small business is clearly well looked after and someones pride and joy.And it helps that the food was great as well! I had a chicken burrito and it came with a side salad. The salad was simple but used fresh ingredients and I enjoyed it. The burrito, as other reviewers have mentioned, tasted fantastic from the first bite to last. It was actually a lot of food so towards the end, I was starting to feel full, but I still missed the burrito as soon as it was all gone. My new first choice for Mexican food in the area! Will definitely come back.
Found a gem rite in my neighborhood! Was running errands with a friend was still a bit early and wanted too stay close due too elderly mother. So busted maps out Avocado came up so decided too try it. EXCELLENT even have breakfast (still a bit early for lunch) Grabbed the hungry man , skirt steak with 2 eggs over eaz to my surprise slice of bread under eggs and potatoes. Came to table sizzling thus toasting bread under eggs yumm! PLEASE PPL you dont gotta go dwn to sunset to grab good Mexican food , or just food period ....actually thinking bout goin to dinner there tonight just talkin bout it...Cant say enough about how great this place is..... What a fabulous Mexican restaurant. I went with my children and grandchildren and everyone loved it. The nachos were fresh and delicious. The skirt steak was excellent and cooked just right. The mole was spicy but not too spicy and the service was perfect. We cant wait to go back. Oh...and the price was very reasonable. Loved it!!!!
My daughter and I were walking today and found this place, it is a gem, the servers are amazing, the food is delicious, and I will definitely come back as a matter of fact, we came here for lunch today and I came back for dinner tomorrow morning, I think breakfast is a definite.

I came here to have lunch with my sisters and it was absolutely delicious. Their shrimp tacos were fresh and succulent. The staff is very friendly. It was a comfortable experience that provided proper spacing between tables and the bathroom is well designed and clean. Five stars for me!

This place is hidden gem. A little pricey for the area but the food is fresh and very authentic and service was excellent. Our server Marie was super friendly and very helpful. Try the cactus taco something different and surprising tasty.
The service was excellent and the staff was super friendly. They checked our temperature upon entering and we were offered hand sanitizer at our table. I shared a tasty plate of loaded nachos with my friend and some tea. Cant wait to go back to try their other dishes.Also, their bathroom was not only really clean but very beautiful. Came to Brooklyn looking to buy a car. Didnt turn out the way we would have liked....so we stopped by here to eat! Best decision we made!!! The staff and Im guessing is the owner were super friendly! Felt very welcomed. The food is amazingly flavorful and portions are just perfect. Everything tasted so fresh. We had the flan and the tiramisu. Oh my gosh!!! The flan is the best Ive ever tasted. They took forever to bring our food, the price is insane because for 2 tacos is $12, the taste was alright, they dont sell beers neither. Their menu only had like 15 choices including appetizers, main dishes and desserts. I recommend to look for another place.
Ordered a small delivery order twice , both times late, prior to their closing. It was a pleasure to speak to the lady over the phone both times! She was so friendly and professional! Went there with my family and it was a great experience. Great customer service but some of the most expensive Mexican food I’ve ever eaten— the food was super great and fresh though. In my opinion the menu is a lot smaller than I’m used to but the food did not disappoint.
The food was so good here! My friends and I got steak nachos and I got carnitas burrito bowl. Everything tasted so good and service was excellent! Our waitress was so sweet and helpful. Can’t wait to go back!

Amazing place to eat at.I visited the restaurant 30 minutes before closing time without knowing what I would get in terms of service and food. In return we got tasty food that went for a price much lower than my expectations. In addition to the food all of the waitresses were energetic and ready to help even at closing time. Eccentric place with great food in big portions will return in future.

The banana split I had for dinner was delicious. They have some of the best strawberry and chocolate ice cream. The chocolate ice cream wasnt too sweet. And the strawberry was not super duper artificial. Together with slightly salty tortilla chips it makes for perfect combo.
We ordered pick up. The person who answered the phone and took our order was so helpful and friendly. Their Mole sauce is unbelievably delicious. Highly recommend the shrimp enchiladas in mole sauce. The carne asada in red sauce was also quite good. Definyomaking it my regular go to!

Great service, Covid protocols in place, including a temperature check at the door. Place was immaculate with hand sanitizer in each table.Now for the food- absolutely best fajitas ever. Skirt steak cooked to perfection over sautéed red, yellow and green pepper with onions. Fresh made tortillas with pico, guac and a side of rice and beans.
The place is clean, cozy, dim. Decor is simple yet cultural. Menu is modest. Food is good. Presentation is admirable. Service is impeccable. Good location. Parking easy to find.Good for families, groups, singles or date. Lack one star because No alcohol beverages sold.

Ordered dinner for delivery on a Saturday night recently. Food was delivered within 30 minutes! Staff who took my order over the phone was super friendly! And the food was delicious! (If you havent tried their tacos or guac, youre missing out.) Definitely will be ordering again! This is one extremely satisfied customer!

Highly recommend this place! The staff was friendly and attentive and they are practicing social distancing and provided hand sanitizer bottles during the meal. I had the carnitas taco from the dinner menu and it was very flavorful and juicy.
I have eaten three times at the Avocados Mexican Grill. All three times the food has been excellent prepared with skill and care. Everyone I was with was impressed with the delicious food, the outstanding service and the lovely atmosphere. I highly recommend this great neighborhood restaurant! Try it —you’ll like it.
My boyfriend and I decided to give this new spot a try on a weekday night. It was slow but cozy. The waiter was nice, the food was so good. The food tasted like it was homemade. It is on the pricey side but you truly do get what you pay for which makes it worth it. One of the owners chatted with us for a bit and was welcoming. Try this spot out if you havent yet.

Feel bad giving them low stars since they just opened but I was disappointed . The staff was very nice but the food was not great. Burrito barely had any meat, we literally had to look for the meat to see if they put any, couldn’t taste it at all. Tacos were dry and came without any kind of sauce on the side. The soup for $8 was just broth with big pieces of mostly carrots and celery, ~5 pieces of potatoes and a whole chicken drum and thigh (don’t get me wrong, I love chicken and it’s a chicken soup after all, but I dont want to be taking out plain boiled chicken out of my soup to be able to eat it instead of just having it in pieces already where I can just enjoy it without worrying about breaking it up myself) . Some of the carrot pieces weren’t even peeled.I might give them another try in a month or two when they’re more established but for now I’ll be getting my tacos at the food truck on McDonald Avenue.
I live in the area and was so surprised to know that there is such a great Mexican food restaurant 10 minutes from my place. Everything is on point : 5 star 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 service, absolutely delicious VERY fresh beautifully decorated dishes. Guacamole and chips are the best weve ever tried. Guacamole was unbelievably creamy and to die for, mmmmm so yami 😋😋😋. My dish of choice was cactus taco 🌮 and they were so loaded and big for only $12 - can absolutely be shared, but they are soo good, its hard to not eat them all 😍😍😍. This place is A TOP LEVEL. Lamps decoration is very cool - made of buckets 👍🏽. Its so rare to find this level of service in residential areas but this one makes me feel like in some upscale area of Manhattan or Park Slope or Williamsburg. I will be back for sure and will consider them for take out and delivery always! This restaurant exceeded our expectations on many levels. Great for dinners, lunch and even breakfast.

Honestly.. it was bad .. the burrito taste like high lawn grill .. tacos flavorless...they didn’t send salsas.. I tried the consome.. and yea that was just disgusting ...nachos were ok .. El Gallo taqueria is way better .. Or even Adams Deli is better ..

I order from here with Uber 2 days ago the food was pretty good I had steak tacos and chicken quesadillas it lacked a little in the salt area but my biggest complaint was the fact that they gave me 3 sauces and every last one of them was extremely spicy I usually have no problem with spice it’s just that being pregnant it gives you crazy heart burn I wish the sauces would have had a range of spice instead of all being super spicy I would order again though

I came to try this new mexican restaurant, in my neighborhood, named AVOCADOS, as soon as i got in, the environment was so nice, good music, the person who sat me the table so respectful and smiley, i ordered one of the steaks (northern churrasco) so good, fresh and delicious, i also tried the chilaquiles soft and crispy at the same time, i hartly recomend this place, come and tasted for yourself ,, 5 stars

Wanted to try a new restaurant.Thet just had their grand opening the week before .The waiter was very nice but he did m ot get the order right.My salad came with dressing on it when I specifically asked for it on the side I overlooked it and the first taste was so spicy I almost choked.My BF beef burrito was huge but dry as a desert.The quacomole was more onion based than avacado.I couldnt eat it and best of all I ordered a shrimp dish with a sauce and sliced avacado.Salty but ok no avacado.We will not go again.Disappointing.

2021-07-18This place was amazing!!!! Quality, portions, service.....all utterly amazing! The few bad reviews this place got are such b.s.!!!! Must be from the competition! If you cant afford to dine out dont leave goofy reviews. Prices were very fair for what we were served. This is by far, my new favorite place for authentic Mexican food!!!

2022-05-18This is the best Mexican food in South Brooklyn hands down. The guacamole is amazing and fresh. This beef burria tacos are out of this world. The burritos are fat stuffed and super yummy. The delivery is nice and hot and fresh the tortillas are authentic and homemade. You can tell all the ingredients are made from scratch this is super ultimate delicious Mexican food! My daughter went here with her boyfriend and said she had the time of her life she said the staff is so friendly and amazing and that they were very accommodating and super kind. I only get delivery from here so I could only speak to the delivery side. The food comes fast and you can order directly from the restaurant or through various apps. My new spot. Kudos to the staff and to chef!!!

Tacos are my addiction and omg meat never dry always moist right to the end, next time you order I guarantee youll be adding something extra. Amazing food place !!* very decent priced I have been order g from them from when they opened up, the owner I know from another store who had excelled expectations.

2022-05-11Went there a few weeks ago ,travel about an hour from Ridgewood, because of good reviews and wanting to try a new place , but it was just horrible just right after the waitress took our order. I ask about the burrito bowl and the waitress said she didn’t know what was that but guess it was good ! Then took forever to bring the food and when we think we ALL (party of 6) about to eat at THE SAME TIME! They bring my kids order wrong they only serve one plate ! The rest came other half hour later my son had to wait while his brother had already finished eating then they bring another order and forget my moms tacos (2) ! Then bring us food we didn’t even order we did mention it ! At the end they offer 10% discount !!! Our order was more then $93 I think and that’s because we cancel other items that clearly she forgot ! And with the discount according to them we only had to pay $91.. 🤣 ok yeah we didn’t want a discount only our food on time or at least all together it’s embarrassing because we had Invited two friends! They where more worry about deliveries then taking care of everybody in there two other tables left while we where there because they never took the orders ! And not authentic Mexican food ! More like Tex Mex !

2022-07-03So me and my husband wanted some Authentic Mexican cuisine and we found this place its not too far from us and we decided to order some fresh guacamole some enchiladas and green sauce and boy it was amazing. If you want some really good food order from here.

2021-06-04Delicious and authentic Mexican food. The service and the food were both phenomenal. We started with the freshest guac and chips ever. For entrees we ordered a steak burrito and steak enchilada in mole sauce and finished off with churros. Our server Maria was so sweet and patient with us. Maria had great knowledge of the menu, ingredients, levels of spiciness and was able to answer all of our question. The restaurant itself had simple but cute decor and was impressively very clean. This is my new go to spot for Mexican food!!!

2020-11-22Great place! Delicious food. Onedina is an amazing server and super kind, pays attention to detail! Love that type of service. Order the nachos they are to die for! Chimichanga was phenomenally flavorful and the chicken was tender. Definitely will be seeing a lot of me!

2021-05-17Ordered food here from Mothers Day. We had a last-minute impromptu large order of 13 items that we placed with last than 2 hours notice and surprisingly they still accommodated us. We were super lucky and grateful.We arrived a bit early for our order pick up and see 3-4 large socially distant tables of families dining in. the staff all hurriedly packed our order as each food item was ready. They triple checked to make sure they didnt forget any of our food. They also gave us free green sauce with our order.From the large party order, I ordered a chicken burrito. And when I say its probably the best burrito I can recall having in my life, Im not kidding. The chicken burrito was loaded with flavorful and fragrant rice and beans, juicy well marinated chicken, and delicious guac!! Yum yum!We also ordered a specialty item Mojarra Frita, which we dont normally order but yolo, its mothers day. Its a fried porgy fish and surprisingly it was pretty good. This order also came with a choice orrice and beans or a salad, as with their other entrée orders.Not only was all our food items delicious, the quantity and quality exceeds the price point. Aka, huge portions. I would definitely comehere again for their chicken burrito!!
