Bagel Pub in other cities:
This place has a really interesting selection of spreads and bagels, so theres something for everyone. They also have a courtyard in the back, although being in NYC its small and has that classic NYC grime to it.I thought the bacon egg and cheese was pretty good. Its a sloppy mess of a sandwich packed with lots of bacon, eggs, and cheese, so its pretty much what youd expect. No problems with presentation. I got mine toasted on an onion bagel. I would have rated higher, but virtually all of the onion bits were burned when I got it, which was definitely unpleasant. So maybe I chose the wrong kind of bagel, but either way, the burned onions definitely hurt the quality for me. Affordable otherwise though. Might give it another shot when Im in town.
I love this place. Came here every day i was in NYC for breakfast. Every possible thing you can do with their bagels is good - toasted or not, sandwich, spread, whatever, its all great. The drinks are good too, a good cappuccino every time I go. Ive been told their smoothies and juices are also awesome.
This place is amazing! We are vegan and the fact that they have tofu cream cheese is impressive. And it doesn’t even cost any more. For a bagel this good, I would pay three times the price! Such a good value! I wound up bringing one for each of my friends 14 hours home. And we could order them online and have them ready by the time we walked the couple blocks to get there. I’m drooling just remembering these bagels!
Everything here is so good. The bagels are fresh, soft and chewy on the inside with a hard shell. Great New York bagel, my favorite in park slope. They offer a wide variety of flavors and options for cream cheese including vegan options. The shakes and drinks are great. The cookies are soft and so fresh and good. They make some killer sandwiches as well. The chicken cutlet sandwiches in particular are my favorite. They offer promotions, which I never remember to use and have a great app for delivery. The service is always very friendly and extremely efficient. A great cafe and bagel place in park slope!
I never leave reviews but was really grossed out by the service yesterday. The woman behind the register took her croc shoe off and brought it up to counter level, picked out some rocks, then finally acknowledged me/took my order and proceeded to make my smoothie with the same gloves on… I wish I had called it out in the moment but didn’t want to start a confrontation. Hopefully the managers read these, beyond unprofessional. Will not be going back, there are plenty of other bagel places in the area.
I have eaten from here a lot but as of lately this bagel store has hired some really unprofessional staff with attitude. Please teach your staff to be nicer to your customers. Theres older people from the community that need a little bit of patience and your rudeness is simply disgusting. Theres also zero sense of urgency and have people waiting a while. Teach your staff manners!! Or hire people with great clients service.
I purchased two bagels, one onion and the other garlic. They were the worst bagels I have ever had. They did not crisp correctly in the toaster and had no flavor. Let me correct that I could taste the onion and the garlic but the breading itself had no flavor. I have been eating bagels for over 50 years. I will never purchase another bagel from this place again. If you want a good bagel go somewhere else. This place does have other things but advertise themselves as a bagel place. Their bagels are terrible. I cannot comment on the rest of their offerings as I only purchased the two bagels.
The bagels here cant be beat. The pumpernickel everything is my all-time favorite bagel I have ever had. The menu is huge with lox, flavored cream cheese, breakfast sandwiches, lunch, fresh smoothies and juices, coffee, and baked goods. Its pricier than a corner deli but almost always worth the extra cost. The one complaint I have is it is ALWAYS crowded in here. Even when Ive ordered ahead online, Ive had to wait. Your best bet is to go at an unusual time/ not during the breakfast rush
This is the last time I’m going into the 9th street location (7th Ave location is great, no problem there).Too often I go there and there’s a problem (either a loooong wait, the order is wrong…). Today I went in and no one was behind me on line until after I ordered. My order was a simple one, 2 bagels with cream cheese and lox) The placed filled up right after I placed my order. I proceeded to watch as the line of people who ordered after me got their food (many ordered items waaay more involved than my 2 bagels). I kept inquiring where my order was and was told “they’re working on it”. Two bagels, for 15 minutes???!!! Finally I asked to cancel my order only to be told I can only receive store credit.I’m done with bagel pub on 9th.
I love bagel pub and wish I could give it 5 stars, but the coffee here is just not good. The cold brew has a bizarre flavor I have never tasted anywhere else. Needs a good dose of sugar and milk to make acceptable. Saving grace is the bagels (and sandwiches made with bagels) are fantastic. Love this place especially when the weather starts to turn cool and I want something hot in the morning.
My experience was days old food, their bread was kind of hard like its been there for a while and their lettuce wasnt fresh. Not good in my opinion, and I dont know about the rest of their menu but the food that I saw that was on display also looked old. Wish I took a picture
Fun place, definitely “insta worthy” and the prices reflect the ambiance. The quality of the bagel, however, is lackluster and you can easily find a better tasting and budget friendly option not too far away.3/5 because I still like to go here a few times a year, especially when people come to town so they can sample the bagel offerings of the area.
Great bagels and great breakfast sandwiches although the sandwiches are pricey. The coffee is terrible! The iced coffee is undrinkable! Good service and they get orders right. I wish they had mini bagels (and at least mediocre coffee), but five stars because they are my favorite bagel around.
One of the best bagel places Ive been to, we loved it so much,we went back several times during our visit home. The pumpernickel everything bagel is FABULOUS! Great menu choices, including vegan options. Excellent coffee, tea, and smoothie options. Cute little shop with character. I love it!
What a lovely delightful place. I loved the first impression I got when I walked in here. The Atmosphere is friendly and service is quick. Looking for a New York Bagel experience? right here.I cant say it is the best bagel spot, but it will definitely suit your expectations. We tried so many different flavors and they were all delicious. The coffee (got their cold brew that they were advertising outside) was honestly a slight disappointment but no complaints.Lovely breakfast/ brunch spot. Please, stop by!
Great fresh bagels and wide cream cheese selection. The apple cider cream cheese is just as good as it sounds! It can get quite busy in the morning on weekends so go early. There are a few tables in the front to sit down and enjoy your bagel. If you walk through to the back there is an outdoor patio with way more space than you can find inside.
Excellent bagels. I would even argue that they have the best bagels in the borough. One random observation during the last time I stopped in to pick up a dozen bagels. Ordered at the back of the store. Made my way to the cashier. Paid. Left no tip at the register. The fella that took my order brought my dozen bagels to the register and reached into the pasty shelf to throw in a bonus because I bought a dozen. (Their version of a bakers dozen, I guess.) The cashier stopped him and discreetly told him in Spanish that I didnt leave a tip, so no bonus for me. Little did she know I understand and can speak Spanish. Needless to say I havent been back since.
Their bagels are very high quality but please, I implore you, stick to ordering bagels. My first go around at a burger was so bad and burnt I thought it was a fluke. A few weeks later I tried again and it was not as bad, but still pretty substandard. So yea, their bagels are great, but if you want a burger go to the McDonalds next door (not joking).
Huge bagels, generous cream cheese, and good coffee. Perfect for a morning fuel up or getting ready for a big bar crawl. The bagels are enormous but nice and chewy. The creme cheese is good and they really slather it on. Nothing like the old fashioned everything bagel with scallion and bacon creme cheese. The coffee is also pretty good, the cold brew was ok though a bit bitter but the normal drip hot was excellent. Dog friendly seats outside of you can grab a table too, otherwise make a picnic at prospect park.
Bagel Pub has the best bagels around. Crusty exterior and a doughy interior. Our favorite by far. They have tons of flavored cream cheese options (including a tofu based vegan option) and the egg sandwiches are great too. I’ve been for lunch and the salads and sandwiches are great too, but nothing beats the bagels.
The cream cheese selection is definitely the draw here - especially if you’re vegan. But every time I go here, I stand at the counter for a good five minutes before anyone even says, I’ll be right with you, let alone take my order - which is frustrating when there’s no line or crowd and it’s a weekday and you count eight employees actively working. There’s worse bagel places out there, so go if you have time - but there’s also comparable places with friendlier and more timely customer service.
I ordered a small tea here along with bagels. The tea was hot so I waited for 10 minutes before drinking it, which was annoying but whatever. After trying to let the tea cool I went for a sip and it destroyed my tongue and mouth. Please consider dialing back the tea temperature. Sounds uptight - but if I had try to enjoy my tea as it was served, I probably wouldn’t have a tongue anymore.Bagels aren’t bad, counter girls are nice but I will say it takes above average long to get any food order. Like ~8+ mins.
This is voted one of the best bagel place in NY and you can tell from the crowd people are voting with their $$. The food is good even though I tend to stick to only a couple of things (protein omelette on toasted whole wheat bagel). Coffee is solid but I havent tried the juices or smoothies. My problem is the absolute chaotic order process. Every time I go I wonder if this will be the time they forget my order, which has happened. And you can clearly see other people are in that same position...say something or keep waiting. The people in back are hustling like mad and theyre pumping out orders but it makes no sense as to who gets what or when.
My first experience today was not good, my children and i were so excited to try this place, but were QUICKLY disappointed!---Overpriced!! Two bagels cost me $13, the coffee was stale, and all of the workers were unhelpful, looked miserable and had very NASTY ATTITUDES! Dont think Ill return.. (Our bagels were delicious though)
I come here quite often and really wanted to give a much higher rating but on the 18th of July I placed an order and when I received my order the cream cheese was not what I ordered. I processed to ask for a fix and it turned out to be an argument. This is very poor customer service. I did all I could to avoid an argument but the gentleman behind the counter insisted on trying to get me to say I was the one who ordered incorrectly smh I just kept asking for a fix which eventually he conceded and fixed my order. Aside, great products and fairly clean establishment.
Been to this place around 10 times usually on the weekends. I wanted to keep trying the food before I actually leave a bad review. The food s ok nothing special, however the client service is absolutely awful. Your staff is rude, unfriendly and act like theyre doing you a favor. The owner or manager should take a look at that and actually hire people that appreciate to have a job.
Oh Bagel Pub, thank you for coming into my life with your super cheesy breakfast sandwiches and overall delicious bagels. I may not enjoy your limited and slightly awkwardly positioned seating, but when it comes to my regular fix of bacon egg and cheese sandwiches, you come second to none.PS. your coffee aint bad either and while you provide some lunch related options as well, youll never see me stray from that godly BEC.
BEST BAGELS IN THE THE PARK SLOPE AND GOWANUS AREA. In addition to having the best bagels they serve amazing coffee (hot or cold), smoothies, juices, omelettes, wraps, sandwiches, pastires. Always fresh, always fast. The staff is hands down super friendly and great to talk to. Do not go anywhere else!
We ordered over $270 worth of food, sandwhiches mostly and some drinks. There was like 15 sandwiches in there... and not one was marked, so we had no way to tell what was what and had people pawing through the bags opening up and poking to see which is which... does this have avocado? Better lift the bun and see... one bagel was fully missing and it took them over an hour to get that already-paid for bagel to us and it was still not right even when we called to shwo them the item on the paid order. This for an order with a $40 TIP which all in all is very frustrating. The attention to detail is so lax, I am sure I will not make any big orders from there again....
Big selection of different cream cheeses. Horrible bacon egg and cheese. The owner should taste them to see how disgusting they are, burnt eggs, my bacon want even cooked, two eggs and cheese make is sloppy to eat. Bergen Bagels has the perfect bacon eggs and cheese. This place as low bodega quality ones.
Placed order ahead-Get there, wait online to get my order & its not done. Ok so i sit to wait only to have some plaid shirt snot nosed brat behind the counter start questioning her coworkers if i am just hanging out in their 900 degree store front. It would be cooler outside. Upon my answering right behind her that i was there for a pickup, she looks at me & doesnt even have the grace to say anything. I drop 100-200 every visit but had stopped coming cause the service was so slow. Decided to try it again today after 6 months to see if they were better- still dont understand how they have so many people and yet are still so slow. Lady behind the counter is telling me that because I ordered ahead of time @ 8:05 that people that walk in are served ahead of online orders. Cool but I walked in at 8:10 and asked for the order therefore there should also have that same respect for my order. Some guy intercedes to make his point that it takes time. When i say yes but if i walked in at 8:10 then i would expect my order to be done by 8:30. His excuse “it’s a large order”. Its 4 egg sandwichs and 4 omelets at best. Upon leaving he says to order earlier next time. Its not an issue simply wont be a next time. At least the guy was not as rude as plaid shirt brat who also splashed me with coffee &had the nerve to ask if she did it.UPDATE: got all the way to the city&found out that they only included 1 of each of the egg sandwiches ordered &forgot 3 bagels out of the 9 (though to be fair I didnt realize it was 3 till I got off the phone w/ the manager @ the time I though it was only 1). Called and the manager says he will give me a sandwich the next time I am in. When I tell him I am not coming in ever again I am suddenly lying about the sandwiches that were in the bag. Why dont you look THAT up on your video? That is called theft.+ they gave me the wrong bagels of what I did order. So that means when I got in at 8:10 and left at 8:33 (yes I timed it ) It was for 2 egg sandwiches 1 wrap and 3 omelettes. Nevermind order was placed before and Nevermind that previous times its taken 20 min when I have JUST ORDERED ONLY bagels and cream cheese. Not anything done to the bagels mind you- just thrown in a bag and maybe 4 diff cream cheese in a container. I see you completely also ignored the plaid shirt insulter that also then thinks its ok to pretend to splash coffee on me. IF this is what you consider good service you really need to re-look @ your priorities. Your set up is crazy. Ive worked line in restaurants in the Hamptons that put out over 500 dinners
Awesome. The Lox Special and the ABC (Avocado Bacon Cheddar, with an egg) are phenomenal sandwiches. They have a good drink selection, fast and happy service, low prices, and this gorgeous little backyard that my sweetheart and I once got to have all to ourselves, this little green space with birds and wrought iron cafe tables.
Good service. Good food. Ridiculously over priced. Almost $8 for a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese? Thats highway robbery, compared to local competitors. A lot of their other items are over priced as well. Would only recommend if you have the bank account to afford this place.
Delicious bagels but service very inappropriate service, the other day I order and jump star bagel (expensive one) and I received it without bacon and avocado, I mean I pay full price for it, the next day I told the guy who took my order and he didnt care, so I give them other chance and I order the same, my suprice was that i pay $18 for 2 bagels, are you serious? ??? on the menu says that cost $6.85 and I ended paying $18 ......$4 of tax????? no thank you
Review of service not food. I ordered online for pickup bc I had my dogs with me. I waited 20 mins before I went to get my food. Two girls took five minutes to realize their tablet that had the chow now app was dead so they had wait for the tablet to power on and get my order even though I had shown her my confirmation. She asked if I could put in in online again. I said no my card was already charged. I asked if they could tell the kitchen to start making the food bc I had waited 20 mins already. She said no they can only make food with a ticket. I was like but you order saw the order now we have to wait for your tablet ? When I had already waited? I said I had to wait outside bc of my dogs. She said I could bring them in until I said they were 80lbs and she said just kidding. The inconvenience and waste of my time makes me not want to come back again and I havent even tasted the food.
This bagel store has been pushin these chewy crunchy delicious bagels straight out of BROOKLYNCame here this morning and picked up an ABC on an egg everything as well as an egg everything on that light scallion cream cheeseThe girl with the Burberry glasses was super helpful in taking my order thank you
I was standing in front of the cheese display to dicide what i want in my bagel, no customers in front or behind me then i asked what i want but a girl said that i have to go from behind the rope and come to front of the display where i wad already, i did that then a rude guy came and ask: what do you want. Not a good way to ask a customer then he wants me to go and pay first, i went to pay and waited for my order. When leaving the store the rude girl that she didnt took my order asked the cashier and the guy in Spanish: did he paid for his food? I turn back and responded to her: yes i paid for my food, Im not a thief. Im rating the food 4 🌟 but @ least 2 of the staff zero 🌟. Most people bad service means bad food and vice versa and they rate 1 🌟. Im a rating expert and i dont make that mistake.
The prices arent displayed and its more expensive than your average bagel shop. Perhaps because its well-known they charge more. The service was sub-par the day I went but I liked the food, the atmosphere, and the selection. They got the order wrong but it ended up being a delicious experience.
Im very reluctantly giving this place one star, and only doing so because Yelp doesnt let you go below that.Where to start? Two visits two days in a row and after receiving both times the worst service in my life, Im never coming back to this place again. In all fairness, yes, the food is good, but thats in no way an excuse to treat your customers with such hostility.Perhaps they thought we were tourists and our business didnt matter. Perhaps they believe the food is so good that the people will come back anyway. The truth of the matter is they really are never going to see us again indeed. But the only reason were never setting foot in there is because theres no way well put up with this teams horrendous behavior.
It’s a shame that although their bread is the freshest in town that’s the only thing good I could say about Bagel Pub. When you call to place an order the girl who answers is dumb as rocks! You can repeat the order to her a million times and she still gets it WRONG! The times that she do get the order right the cook apparently doesn’t know how to read because you ask for something and it’s either not in the sandwich or not done the way you specifically asked for. One perfect example you ask for grilled chicken please make sure the chicken is not BURNT and when the sandwich arrives there’s char all on the sandwich. Another one when you order a tuna with cheese you ask toast the bread with the cheese FIRST then put the tuna (and you asked the dumb girl to repeat and she does) but when it arrives it’s not toasted the way you asked it’s toasted with the tuna and that makes the tune taste DISGUSTING!!! Secondly their customer service just straight sucksssss!!!!! Deliveries ALWAYS take longer than a hour when I’m literally down the block from them. Every time you call to get the status of the delivery the girl catches an attitude or whoever she passes the phone to catches an attitude like who does that? Then they’ll tell you oh he’s on his way he has a lot of deliveries and when he gets here I always ask him how many deliveries did you have before me and he’ll always respond none I did yours first because you’re the closest indicating the person over the phone lies! You might wonder why even throughout all of this I still ordered there and that’s because like I stated in the beginning their bread is always fresh but after today incident I’m done with them!!
En route to the Great Googa Mooga, I was pretty fatigued and in need of caffeine. My sister and I stopped by in front to check out the coffee options. My eyes outside were immediately drawn to the fresh squeezed juices. This place is really adorable and local-friendly. I ordered a apple, beet, and carrot juice and was fueled and ready to go. Would highly recommend this place to sit and think or grab something healthy to go.
Over from the UK and went to the one on Franklyn first time out and it was brilliant so on our last day visited the one on 9th. Equally brilliant. Great, freindly staff with one being especially freindly and chatty that i wish i lived closer !!Oh well next time or she might visit the uk some time....🙄

2022-05-21Bad attitudes in there- several people.. A simple bagel with butter and this was the lighter half ! Could of at least let me know .. all those bagels- you could of toasted a different one. Also ordered 2 eggs bacon and sausage and a coffee a whole separate time and it was 18.75 . They do what they want and they have terrible customer service! Wish it was different bc the bagels are good.

2022-06-16Best bagel sandwich I’ve ever had. The array of cream cheese is truly spectacular. And gluten free bagels are available!

2022-03-05The good is food, but they put the price of the food all the way on the other side of the room. And it is printed very small.when you go up to the register to pay the cashier they can charge you whatever they feel like charging you and talk about overprice I usually buy a drink and a sandwich and the amount was usually 16 dollars.then the next time I went i decided to just buy the sandwich and not get the drink cashier charge me 15dollars and change. I went to the deli ri g ht across the street got me a sandwich and a drink7dollars

2022-07-14Excellent service. I was in a rush to catch the bus out of town and the manager and cashier hustled to get my bagels quickly. Great hard working staff that truly care was my experience

2020-12-23Super bagels and wraps. We had a few different ones and were very satisfied. Their cookies were not very fresh but that’s the only complaint I had.

2017-07-11I stopped by here on my way home from Europe. Ive been eating at restaurants for the past 3 weeks and Im a food snob anyway. So I was expecting to be settling when I came in here. But this place was effortlessly amazing! Friendly staff and notable community feel amongst the patrons. Very diverse offerings, from fancy coffees and savory bagel sandwiches to fresh juices and salads with topping for every palate. The place was clean and large and the ordering/paying process was obviously well thought out because it felt organized and this allowed me to THINK while ordering. With such a rich menu, this is an invaluable factor because I hate feeling rushed and pressured to decide only because they have only one guy taking orders and preparing food and taking payment. Here, everyone seemed to competently handle their part of the process!I took my order to go. A few bagel sandwiches and some smoothies and pastries. I was in and out in 10 minutes, leaving with my order and 4 well wishes for the day from the staff and fellow customers. (They take credit cards, btw.)Now the best part.... the bagels are delicious! The perfect chewiness. Bacon that really tasted like bacon should. Egg cooked to perfection. Smoothies that taste like I make at home! Not just ice with a little fruit in it. And pastry that was flavorful instead of just packed with sugar.Id come here everyday if I lived in Brooklyn. And Id definitely visit again if I come through. For now, I hope you all enjoy as much as I did. Im writing this review 3 hours later and Im still smiling. That says a lot.

2022-06-14They mixing every other order.Workers seem lost and spaced out.Seems like they having problems communicatiing with each other.Owners should create system of taking orders and preparing them.Today we got tuna melt on the roll instead egg and cheese on everything bagel. That’s too great discrepancy.

2019-06-21My favorite here is something I’d get as a kid- egg bagel toasted with butter and jelly. The bagels are perfect. The butter melts into the bread almost like an English muffin getting into all the nooks-and-crannies. It’s a fast-paced location and a crowd is quick to form on line. I can say I’ve had everything from egg sandwiches to the variety of cream cheeses to simple butter and jelly. They’re all great. Highly recommend.
