Bagel Pub in other cities:
Delicious bagels and drinks. The staff made this a mediocre experience for me. I ordered and went to the restroom. Came back standing waiting for my bagel but I guess because I stepped away they didnt think to call my order out again so my bagel and I just stared at each other while the cashier took more orders. After I finally spoke up and asked if it was mine, I grabbed my bagel. I asked for the wifi and got it written on a napkin. Once I set up, I used the password but it wasnt correct. I went back in to ask and I was met with an awkward attitude and told that that was the password that they used so it MUST work. It clearly did not so I just used my own phone hotspot. A huge part of NY culture is getting cafe goods and working at your computer. If youre not going to encourage your guests to stick around and buy multiple drinks... idk if this is the right job for you.
Yes, the food is good but service is not. Probably 50%!of the time I get home and something in the order is wrong. Missing cream cheese, wrong cream cheese, etc. Today they forgot the Plain bagels. I went back and they were anything but gracious. They seemed annoyed, charged me for the 5 bagels (not certain I didn’t already pay) and pretty sure they gave me day olds - definitely were not as fresh as usual. They e just lost a customer.
So something interesting happen I ordered a sandwich I went to use the bathroom then I came back I was standing in line holding my ticket ready to pay they fix the sandwich in a timely manner the lady in front of me she was waiting in line as well and they called her name she said is hers the sandwich was handed to her while she was waiting to pay then my sandwich came up while I was still waiting in line to pay and I was told no we will hold it up front for you when you pay shes white Im black I guess. Thank you so very much bigger Pub for making me feel like Im some hoodlum ofie like I cant pay for my meal
I was given my sandwich without an ingredient, walked 15 min back home to then realize this. When I called them to inform them they told me to come back to the store to get the missing Ingredient??? No! You are supposed to offer a new sandwich made CORRECTLY with all ingredients. I paid $12 for an egg and turkey sandwich… the least you can do is make a NEW ONE correctly. The woman I spoke to over the phone was so Unaccommodating and rude. Never again.
OPEN! Very excited to have a location right on the block! Looks fantastic, although there is still a smell of construction (Im sure that will go away shortly with all the cooking). The staff was fast and friendly for the first day, no hiccups or anything - which is a testament to their training. A+ . Going to be a wonderful location and looking forward to years of eating here!
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I PAID FOR MY FOOD AND WAITED MORE THAN 15 MINUTES WHILE WATCHI G SEVERAL EMPLOYEES STANDING AROUND DOING NOTHING!! AND HAD TO LEAVE WITH NOTHING TO NOT BE LATE FOR WORK!! WHEN I CALLED YO VOMPLAIN I WAS TOLD IF I DIDNT LIKE THE SERVICE DONT COME BACK BY THE MANAGER!!! DO NOT GO HERE GOR ANYTHING!!! RUDE , OBNOXIOUS, HORRIBLE. PAID AND GOT NOTHING!!!
Ill never get tired of these bagels. Theres a wide variety of cream cheese, which are all great tasting. Their egg sandwiches are filling and when combined with one of the variety cream cheese they are to die for. One of my favorite things is the Fresh OJ, cant stress it enough of how fresh or is! Their fruit salads are well combined and all fruits feel fresh as well.
If it was up to me this would be a 10/10. The cucumber dill cream cheese is unparalleled. The bagels are fresh and fluffy and the coffee is great. The only thing that loses a star is that somehow they ALWAYS get my partners order wrong. I dont know if hes cursed or what but eg asking for salt and pepper turns into salt b pepper on the ticket and he ends up with salt and banana peppers. This is a real example that has happened recently. Anyway I say take your chances. Go for the cucumber dill.
I got a roast beef sandwich on a plain bagel. First, the sandwich as a whole, just not good. Roast beef wasn’t good, way too much Mayo, peppers were messy. But I didn’t come here to have a roast beef sandwich - I came for the bagel. The plain bagel itself was very, very good. Size is good (Brooklyn Bagel big) and it has the classic harder outside and softer inside nyc style bagel but the inside is just so soft it’s delish! Will have to come back for a classic cream cheese, log and bagel which I suspect will be a 5. Will not get the roast beef again
Two visits in two days and boy this place didn’t disappoint. The egg everything bagel is possibly the best bagel I’ve had in New York and the lox scallion cream cheese is too good. Service is amazing, social distancing is spot on, and the outdoor dining doesn’t feel like you’re eating in the middle of the road.
My husband and I walked in this afternoon at about 3:00pm. The lady behind the counter started yelling at us, something about not coming in the front door on 7th Avenue. It was so boisterous and unpleasant, that we just had to leave. It looked like a lovely place inside, and a gentleman approached us, possibly the manager, reassuring us that it was okay this time. It was so bizarre to be greeted by that woman in such an aggressive way. I guess that they want customers to enter a side door entrance which is about 10 yards down on the side street. Not sure why, seems completely illogical. Too scary for us to try again, when simply wanting a cup of coffee and a bagel.
I love bagels but this place is ruining the air quality of the area. I can’t go outside onto my deck behind the pub because their exhaust system is continually running. These types of bakeries need to exist far away from densely populated residential neighborhoods and schools. A bakery can have air pollution emissions from several different processes (including gas combustion). The primary emission source at a bakery is the oven, which produces major contaminants of concern known as volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The main VOC emitted from bakery operations is ethanol. It’s impossible to be outside in my yard while their exhaust system is running (seems to be running entire time they’re open). Air is so thick and dense. I’m young and healthy but every time I go outside even for a few minutes I’m coughing. It smells nice but my lungs are not happy and I can’t enjoy my deck. There’s enough pollution and exhaust in our air already, the neighborhood doesn’t need another polluter.
I am a local customer who has been coming here for 5years and love this place. But I just waited for 25m for a 4 bagel order. Two of which were BEC and they claimed “eggs sandwiches” were the holdup but yet I saw tons of individual orders come and go in between the time I arrived and finally left. You just lost a local customer from this experience. Figure out a way to get people in and out within 10m. My order for for 4 people—the size of a family. There’s no reason you shouldn’t be able to turn around a 4 bagel order including 2 egg sandwiches within 10m top. Something is wrong here.

2022-07-12I have been wanting to try this place for a couple years now. I am I finally did. The service fast and bagels are fresh. They have wide variety of cream cheese flavors. I got pastrami salmon and bacon cream cheese on a pumpernickel bagel. Cost me $12.63 but it was good.

2022-07-09Omg they have so many types of cream cheese! The most I’ve ever seen in a shop before. You can truly create the bagel of your dreams. There are so many toppings and add-ons, multiple types of lox, etc. the bagel I got was perfectly chewy and delicious — so exciting that they have whole wheat everything bagels. Really cute interior design and a backyard too (and bathrooms!) fave bagel place so far in Park Slope (and I’ve tried quite a few). Smoothie I had was just OK.

2022-02-27The ABC sandwich was incredible! My wife loved her everything bagel with lox cream cheese and said that this is the best Chai Tea she’s ever had.

2022-03-13Cute bagel corner store with unique bagel themed artworks, a huge variety of cream cheeses and coffee. We tried the spinach artichoke cheese with salmon on everything bagel and their chai latte. Knocked off one star for service, which was inattentive and half hearted. Their versions of famous artworks made us laugh.

2022-02-16Great deli style bagel place with a nice interior. The bagels arent super fresh but the fillings more than make up for it with generous quantity and quality.

2022-03-25We ordered from here today and I was pretty disappointed that the latte I got was full of coffee grounds and basically inedible. The food here is always good, but the drinks are really hit or miss.Sometimes theyre great, other times theyre watery and/or have coffee grounds at the bottom. When its just a little coffee grounds its not a big deal, but this time it was like half a tablespoon or more of coffee grounds. Tbh I dont know how you let that many grounds drop into a drink and are still okay giving it to a customer :/.I would skip the drinks and just get the food.

2021-06-23As someone from DC, it’s always a treat to enjoy an authentic NYC bagel. You can easily taste the difference and I enjoyed every moment of this bagel. They are baked fresh in house every day. Totally soft, warm, and flavorful. We even bought an extra dozen to bring home to family and friends. Can’t wait to come back for more bagels!

2022-06-26Ordering the bagels were great and they are always good; however ordered 2 green juices -all greens. And, they both had red in them and they actually told me it was because of red apples. Last I checked even red apples produced clear juice; especially since no skins were added to the juice. Either they don’t clean there machines or they are mixing residue from other juices.

2022-05-30Some of the best bagels in NY. Nice size, nice and crusty on the outside and fluffy inside. They are covered well with toppings. Whitefish salad is tasty. Everything is always fresh. Even their cold brew coffee is spot-on.

2022-02-19Good bagels but so-so service. Bagel Pub is horrendously busy on the weekends and pieces of the same order get made at different times so its likely that one bagel will be freshly toasted while another is getting soggy and cold. On the weekdays, its more reliable and the bagels and sandwiches are pretty good when hot off the counter.
