This little local neighborhood Mexican place could be easily overlooked but my friend lives nearby and she loves this place! Now I know why! VERY colorful and quaint inside this small little restaurant has about four intimate tables, so can accommodate small groups, and theres also take-out. The decor is bright and vibrant and authentic... And so is the food!I tend to avoid most Mexican restaurants, bored with the same run-of-the-mill menu. This place is definitely special! Everything is made to order so expect a little bit of a wait, but everything is fresh and delicioso!! The waitress doesnt understand much English but she will understand your order and the service was very good. Although its not in my home neighborhood I will definitely look for opportunities to go back!!BONUS: They also own the Mexican bakery across the street which also has authentic and familiar selections of sweetbreads, cookies, cakes.. and the like.
IF I CAN GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD. this is THE worst bakery you can come to. I HIGHLY suggest going anywhere else but here. To start off the frosting on the cakes tasted like its been in a nasty smelling freezer for a while and then defrosted had to brush and use mouth wash just to stop that taste in my mouth. something needs to be done with this place and i Hope The owner Sees this.
I just noticed this place, which is a companion business to the family bakery across the street from it. I got the Chicken Fajitas. It was well seasoned and everything tasted good. I dinged it by 1 Star because the Chicken Fajita Strips were a little hard, and was probably due to the fact that its white meat, and can be easily overcooked. I would suggest they use the leg/thigh cuts of meat since they dont dry out as fast when theyre cooked. I plan to try their breakfast offerings and other entrees soon and will update my review. I would definitely recommend this place.Heres my review of the Bakery:4 out of 5 StarsI got their Tres Leches, very delicious and properly sweet, but not overly. Also got some of their Tea/Coffee Biscuits and they are very delicious and goes well with Coffee/Tea/Milk.I dinged the bakery by 1 Star because I would like to see they use more natural colorings in their cookies, and not usual suspect FD&C Red-Yellow-Blue, etc. I dont mind paying extra to avoid these chemicals.
I ask for a dini-in and I get it to go ,it seems that they dont want me in there, I was working and I was on working clothes, it took almost my entire lunch hour to get my food .and it was ok, soda fridge wasnt working and I had room temp soda. Not recomendable at all.
Wow! I literally stumbled upon this place and I’m SO GLAD I did.The inside is small, but colorful and vibrant!Front lady didn’t know much English but I didn’t care.I ordered:-vegetable fajita-chicken torta-nachos w chickenAnd everything was AMAZING. Everything was made to order so the wait was about 10-15 min.The chicken had so much flavor!!!I ordered the food TO GO, drove 30 min and the nachos were STILL crispy!!I found my new spot!!
I was nervous trying this place because a lot of places say authentic Mexican food and aren’t. This place is authentic. It’s super small but it’s so vibrant. It has 4 tables, with 4 chairs to a table.Service is a little slow but don’t let that dissuade u from not ordering or coming in because it is worth it.We’ve tried the tacos, enchiladas, doors, tostadas, burritos, flautas and everything is 10/10.Whoever thought u only needed onion and cilantro on ur taco?!? Not me but it’s amazing.A great addition to Baldwin and they have a loyal customer with me and my family.
WORST EVER- missing more then 3/4 of my order- what I did get the food had hair in it- when tried to call 11x they phone was busy- People do not speak any English making it hard to have them understand what is wrong. EVERY TIME I’ve ever went here I’ve had ISSUES with orders- missing items/wrong items. It is just upsetting to see how much they DO NOT care about their customers... NEVER AGAIN NEVER AGAIN!!! They get NO STARS from me-but I have to give them one to post my review 🤦🏻♀️ sadly this was the last time I will ever order from them.
I have been to this restaurant at least three times and every time Ive gone I have never been disappointed in the quality of food its fairly price and you can tell its home cooked food if you are at all interested in Mexican food and want to check out a local gem try this restaurant you wont be disappointed the portions are good the service is friendly you feel like youre in someones home they even give you chips and dip or chips and guac or chips and beans while you wait for food even if its takeout. Its vegetarian friendly because you can add or take away items to personalize it to your flavor. They definitely go out of their way to make sure you enjoy their food cooked from the heart. Their menu is in both English and Spanish so it is bilingual friendly.
The lady at the front desk acted as if she did not speak English and did not make me feel welcome Because I could not speak Spanish. Are usually order from this restaurant through Uber eats but this is my first time coming in and my experience was so horrible I don’t think I’m even going to order from here ever again I don’t wanna support people that treat me as if my money is no good here.!!! It completely ruin my experience!!!!
First of all this place is supposed to open at 11 am. It’s noon and I walk up to this place with an open sign and tried to open the door. It’s locked. I see the woman inside the shop chatting with someone in the background and she is putting bread away and completely ignoring my dumbfounded expression. I’m standing outside scratching my head because she sees me outside and is completely ignoring me. The store says open and the door is locked. My husband gets out of the car and tried to open the shop door as confused as I am. The woman comes out and tells him the shop opens in 5 minutes. Why don’t you put a sign on the door saying closed for lunch reopen at 12:15? Why do you just lock your doors and leave your customers outside baking in the heat .? So rude F that place.
This is the worst place to order online. I ordered 3 times thinking that my card was maybe the problem and my order after it appeared on the way was rejected for no reason. They do not answer the phones, let alone send an email with an apology. If I could put zero star, then I put it! Terrible service!

2021-09-20I purchased slices of cheesecake cake for my husband’s birthday because they didn’t have a big one. The cheesecake was delicious and it’s the first time we bought from them. Will definitely buy more. Their prices are reasonable and big slices.

2022-02-16I hate to say this but Not happy with my experience at all. The fruit tart tasted horrible. The custard cream tasted nothing like actual custard. It only tasted like sugar & some artificial flavor. It was way too sweet. I really wish I could get a refund for this one. And the macaroon that the shopkeeper said was raspberry & chocolate flavor tasted nothing like actual rasberry or chocolate. The macaron didnt even taste like a real macaroon. The chocolate cheesecake was OK. I thought it was a lil too sweet though. I wouldnt have bought all the items I bought if I knew how they were gonna taste. I wouldnt recommend this place.

2021-10-10My family was so happy to find this place. Sadly it did not even live up to our lowest expectations. Im not even sure where to start. They are horribly overpriced, the donuts are stale and tasteless as are the pineapple pastels. Everything tasted like stale bread. How do you ruin sprinkles??!!My husband was more adventurous and ordered the chocolate cheesecake. I dont think that gross comes close to explaining the experience. The cheesecake itself was decent. The chocolate cake base was dry and flavorless.Im happy we decided to skip the coffee... which btw is one size only. We will not be revisiting this place. So sad, I thought wed found a gem.

2021-09-11Overpriced “natural” juices that seem like they were made with artificial ingredients. The Mexican beverages—horchata and jamaica were not authentic. Chips and guacamole were very small portions and also overpriced. The prices on the menu do not completely match what you pay—we paid $5 for a lemonade. The actual food was ok, but not something I would go back for. The rice and beans were pretty good. The tacos and enchiladas were also good, but you’re going to pay about $20 per person for tacos and an artificial drink which is labeled as “natural”.

2021-09-05Is a bit Pricey, but the tires leches was great. Also, there cc machine was not working and the lady politely told me to take the food and please pay with cash later. The following day I returned with cash and paid.

2021-09-01This place is a hidden gem. Really underrated… they are a good bakery but they have some of the best tacos I’ve ever had… better than chipotle. I hope they get more business 😎
