Joseph made the process east and smoothe and she looked beautiful and and he also was able to get her to ship her back home to the Dominican Republic . The service, care and attention given to us by Mr. Balsamo and the staff was excellent. Their professionalism went above and beyond our expectations. They made the loss of our father a little more bearable. Dad looked like he was resting, he looked peaceful, he looked like himself. Which also gave us a bit of tranquility during this painful time. I want to start this review by apologizing to Mr. Joseph Balsamo and his wonderful staff for the distasteful and untrue statements on Elsa Gonzalez review from 3 weeks ago. The Garcia family was extremely pleased with the services that we received. Mr. Balsamo and his staff went above and beyond to accommodate all our needs, as they truly made this difficult process for our family as pleasant as possible. The staff was caring, sympathetic and extremely professional. The seating arrangements exceeded our expectations, two rooms were made available to us so that we can comfortably accommodate both families and everyone who stopped by to pay their respects. The pallbearers were a class act from beginning to end. It is unfortunate that for personal matters Elsa Gonzalez would discredit the Balsamo Funeral Home services. We are forever grateful to Mr. Joseph Balsamo and his staff for their professionalism, support and compassion.

I would definitely recommend this Funeral Home for Bereavement Services.My aunt passed away a week ago, and we were looking to have viewing services with sending our beloved aunt to our country overseas. We did not know how to go about it being we had to use a Funeral Home here, and another one over seas to receive our beloved aunt for services there too. Mr. Balsamo was very sincere, and took the time to explained to us the different options of services that we can work with. He detailed every thing we were to get according to his packages, and if we didnt need some of the things on there we could eliminate them. The package we chose included everything, inclusive with the priest & flowers. He also helped to connect us with the Consulate for the translation of the documents we needed to get everything started in our country. I am forever grateful to Joseph Balsamo, & his staff Blanca, Johnathan & The Pallbearers for they made my sorrow easier in my time of grief. They are caring professionals.
By the choosing of granddaughter’s father, my 20 year old granddaughter was viewed there a few weeks ago. I was not all pleased with its organization. The seating was extremely uncomfortable, they used folding chairs, we had very little chairs to accommodate our big immediate family. Pallbearers were not organized in a timely manner. Going to the cemetery was a nightmare without any type of consideration for the mother and little sisters. Arriving to the cemetery, myself the maternal grandmother was made to walk up a hill. This funeral home needs to make present both families of young deceased persons. There was also no traffic control to provide orderly direction in the funeral home. Regardless of religion, all mourners are to be respected. Once again Carlos Garcia disrespected us and his deceased daughter.
Id like to thank Joseph and his team at The Bronx location for taking care of our needs during this pandemic in NYC. The funeral service was executed perfectly to our needs. Were forever grateful that our beloved father had a proper send off. Words will never be enough but THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH! God bless yall.

The Balsamo funeral home and staff were more than excellent they were caring , sympathetic and very professional. They treated my beautiful sister Evelyn Pimentel and our family and friends as family . Joe immediately gave us a sense of being cared for even before meeting us in person. When we arrived to his facility he warm yet professional. My sister and I were very lost with grief due to our fathers unexpected death. Joe guided us every step of the way. He was efficient and always available even when we showed up unexpectedly with more requests. I could not recommend a better person, not to mention his staff members like Blanca who made a every detail perfect for us.

Unfortunately we have had several dealings with Bálsamo due to several loved ones dying within a year. I say unfortunately because you never want to lose loved ones but Joseph and his staff have been awesome. They are respectful, accommodating and really understand that this is a difficult time for people and they go above and beyond to make it easier on the family. Balsamo Funeral home Inc. and the owner Joseph were a class act all the way through. When my Father passed away, my brothers and I were suggested many funeral and met with many but Joeys clearly stuck with us when we met. He was professional, courteous and made us feel that our Father would be treated with dignity and respect. This was the most difficult time we have ever had to endure and he made us feel comfortable and comforted. Everything was laid out clearly and he took us through every step including the ones we did not think of. I cannot say enough about how well everything went and on the day of, it could not have been smoother. He truly went above and beyond and my family appreciated that as they let me know many times afterward. I would give more stars if I could and I STRONGLY recommend him to anyone looking to have their loved ones last rites done properly. I will go so far as to say it was a blessing to my family that we were able use his services for our Father.

2022-01-17First and foremost I would like to thank the Balsamo Funeral Home for their outstanding service. Joseph was kind, understanding and honest. He worked with our budget with compassion and selflessness. As others have mentioned they truly went above and beyond. The pallbearers were very professional and well dressed. They treated my dear mother’s remains like the queen was to our family. There was also a moment where the hertz considerately pulled over to wait for us when a rudely driver cut us off. I will forever be grateful to the Balsamo family and their staff and will definitely recommend them to family and friends. Joseph is the best!

2022-05-15Professional, reliable, reasonable, sympathetic, caring, supportive, helpful, knowledgeable...I just do not have enough words to express my gratitude. Balsamo Funeral Home treated me, my family and my friends with such respect, courtesy, care and professionalism. My father suffered so much before he passed away so I was very confused and tired. I was told about other Funeral Homes to go to but I was so touched by how Joseph Balsamo took his time and care to walk me through the steps of how they handle all the arrangements at a Funeral Home. No matter how indecisive I was about when I wanted to make arrangements for my father because I was not ready to let my father go. I called Balsamo Funeral Home at various times and days with questions. They are always there for you! Mr. Balsamo and his staff are so patient and they take personal attention to what you want exactly for your loved one no matter how busy he is or his staff is. I also want to personally thank Joseph Balsamo and Yvonne, one of Joseph Balsamo staff members, who was so kind, caring and did more than I expected for us and for my dear father. 2022-08-13We are very grateful for the services provided. There was a great level of respect and professionalism, making everything easier on my family and I. Since the first time we made the call to inquire about the services and spoke with Joseph, he was very kind. We really felt like everything was being taken care of by someone that really cares and understands what the family is going through. The services were for my grandfather and we had the services here but the body was shipped to our home country. Joseph and his staff took care of everything always making sure everything was going accordingly and really made the whole process easier on us. 2022-04-16A few days ago on 4/12/22 we had my mothers viewing and burial guided and provided by Joseph. I could not find the proper words to praise and express my gratitude and satisfaction to Joseph and his team. Joseph took care of both my mom, and last year my brothers arraignments. I was completely and utterly happy with my brother’s viewing and so without a doubt I knew I wanted Joseph to handle my mothers funeral. I was left both speechless and amaze to say the least at how amazingly beautiful my mother looked for the final farewells. I had a vision for such a long time (my mother was a hospice patient) that I just knew in my heart of hearts that Joseph was going to exceed my expectations. I will forever be grateful to Joseph and the Balsamo family and staff for going above and beyond. If you are looking for finesse and high quality services well look no more. 2022-01-18A week ago we received the dreaded call that my brother-in-law unexpectedly passed away. My wife and I reside in South Carolina and were tasked with making funeral arrangements from 850 miles away. We called several funeral homes in the area. After speaking with Joey, CEO of Balsamo Funeral Home, we immediately realized that leaving our loved one in their hands was the answer. Joey immediately went to work for us taking care of every detail that we requested. His guidance and advice was appreciated. Ever promise he made, he kept. 2022-02-08My father’s funeral was held this morning and Bálsamo Funeral Home handle his services beautifully. Joseph Balsamo cares about the family who walks through his doors as if they were his own. He made our family comfortable and calm while we planed his service. His team were wonderful and kind and they took care of our family during this difficult time and made this easy for us, so could focus on our loved one. Our family and my father was cared for and respected. He looked so handsome and like himself and how we would have wanted. Without out a doubt we will be using his services again, hopefully not anytime soon. Don’t bother looking else’s where and wasting your time on other funeral homes. 2021-11-04If youre from the Bronx and are unsure of where to hold services for your loved one, please consider Balsamo Funeral Home. They were professional, sympathetic, and very flexible. I am a young woman who had no experience communicating with a funeral home and making arrangements and they helped me figure everything out, step-by-step. Money is absolutely secondary to them. They prioritize your comfort and are extremely sensitive to your grief. The funeral home was organized, clean, and non-invasive. Please deeply consider Balsamo Funeral Home.

2022-07-08My mother in law died on April 29th 2022 and the Balsamo Funeral home was the first place I visited; Joey was extremely professional and courteous. All went went! It was our first time (my husband and I, planning a funeral) but God is good. My mother in law Stephanie laid to rest peacefully on May 16th ( pardon the review delay).
