Ordered twice here. First time was a buy one, get one free spicy tuna crunch roll, and then specialty volcano roll and lover rolls. The second time, was, again, the buy one, get one free spicy tuna crunch roll and this time the spicy girl specialty roll.Mediocre food, mediocre rolls. Something to temporarily satisfy your hunger pangs and if youre deadset on local sushi? Sure. Fresh? Maybe, but who knows. Maybe try one of the critters from the East or Hudson Rivers to measure the scale of freshness here. Visually appetizing? Definitely not. Taste? Id rather drink my moms horrid artichoke soup (sorry ma). Expecting to receive your free roll? Dont bet on it. I didnt. Assuming the worldwide agricultural shortages ended up affecting their buy one, get one free offering. Cause and effect, no?Needless to say, I wont be ordering anything from here anymore.

My wife and I had very nice lunch surprisingly inexpensive with a great bento box for only $12 including a large bowl of soup. My wife loved her salmon sushi special and I had one piece and thought it was yummy. I’ve had much less satisfying Lunchesspending a lot more in New York. Incidentally we ate in and they were loads of people in this small restaurant but even more reassuring were all the takeout orders by the medical nursing staff from Sloan Kettering. Those people usually are careful what they eat!!

Was intrigued to try this place as it advertised itself as sushi and sake bar on its exterior and it looked like it could be a cute neighborhood gem. Stopped by for lunch. It got fairly busy during my time there. The service wasnt rude, but wasnt good either. Sushi wasnt bad — I ordered a specialty roll and a regular roll. It was prettily prepared, but flavorless. Not that much meat but lots of hidden crunch as filler. For the price, I think there are better mid-tier sushi spots, like Sushi Ren, but this place is decent enough if you arent that picky or dont want to travel too far.I think what was most disappointing was that they called themselves a sake bar, but they only have one cold and one hot sake; no sake menu. I ordered the hot sake. It did nothing for me.The patrons themselves made it a nice atmosphere. Lots of people just enjoying themselves, either alone or with friends, which is nice to see. The natural light from the large windows make it a nice place to sit and watch the day outside.

Came here for a date night and couldn’t be happier with the food! I’d highly recommend the cauliflower tempura, green machine roll (we added salmon), the fry tide roll, and spicy tuna on crispy rice. Their cocktails were also great! I had a gin and sake drink. Overall, I’m shocked by some of these reviews because we have amazing food and a lovely time. The outdoor space is gorgeous and it’s close to a few other bars or ice cream places if you want to grab something after as well. Sushi usually is mediocre when you’re ordering it to go (raw fish doesn’t tend to keep well) so I wouldn’t weight too heavily on to go reviews!

Got the $14 3 roll combo with a soup or salad. Got the spicy salmon. Spicy salmon is very slightly spicy and has a a slight crunch to it, looks like they added something fried? Eel avocado was very avocado heavy and very little eel. Yellowtail was good. Overall I enjoyed all the rolls, even the avocado-heavy eel one. Salad had a nice dressing, sweet with a bit of acid. Would not recommend the Thai iced tea, it tastes too condensed milk heavy. Service was friendly and pretty fast on Wednesday afternoon. Overall a good meal. Feel satisfied and the price point is pretty good.

I wanted to try this place for lunch and was craving some soup, so I decided to order the miso eggplant and the udon soup with shrimp. The miso eggplant was the right combination of sweet and salty; the portion was also so generous that I initially worried over if I could finish! The udon was also the perfect amount of salty; the fish cakes were thick and chewy just as the noodles.

Update: year later! Incredible sushi this tome with the special rolls and seaweed salad. Service and pandemic were honestly on point.Came here yesterday for lunch… Could say I had an overall OK experience as the service was really good the sake was priced accordingly and they gave a large Sapporo. I did the three rolls special which I would highly recommend however one of the fish and the white tuna being in particular was not very appetizing did not taste fresh so it kind of ruined it for me

Small and rather basic, but fresh and tasty. Very pleasant and helpful server. We went there on Sunday afternoon. Not busy, we stayed for a while.
