Went to Bango Bowls because my friend highly recommended their açaí bowls. Well let me tell you this bowl was divine. Juliet the employee was extremely helpful and super sweet. I’ll definitely be back because they also have poke bowls. Will update after I get one of those. I hope it’s as good if not better than the açaí bowl I had.
Bango bowls is my go-to after every work out. Not only are the bowls incredible but the service is even better! As soon as I walked in, Sal greeted me with a smile and was eager to answer any questions I had regarding my food allergies. You can tell he cares about his customers and that meant a lot. I’ll be telling my friends and family about my welcoming experience and make sure they ask for Sal!
This is my favorite location for poke bowls. Sal helped me yesterday to put my poke bowl together and it was delicious. I also tried their pink dragon and it was so good! Cant wait to go back and try more things!
Cant say enough good things about the bayshore location. Im in there multiple times a day/week. Food is always fresh and great size portions. Staff is always full of smiles and eager to assist. Place is always clean. You can tell the manager/owner takes pride in her business. So happy to live down the block from this establishment. A must try if your hungry
I never leave reviews but felt I had to for this one. I went to Bango Bowl for the first time, I walked in very confused on where to start. Sal was amazing !!!! he walked me through everything. Did not mind explaining 100 things until i picked one .. I ended up getting the pink dragon bowl, which I loved!!!! It was one of the best experiences in a new place. Will definitely be back!
I came here with friends the other day for dinner and we really enjoyed our bowls that Sal the worker who was there and very helpful took our order. The Cobb salad was what I ordered and it was amazing. The dressing on it was so good. 10/10
Bango bowls is such a good little healthy place! Layla is the employee who always helps me and she is so outgoing and helpful, which makes my experience better. I always get the Chicken fajita salad and it is so good!
Even though there are closer bango bowls near my house I will definitely be returning to the one in Bay Shore because of the service. Sal helped me and made sure I got exactly what I was looking for and was very patient and attentive. The bowls are delicious and Sal made sure it was made just the way I asked. Thanks Sal!
I normally dont leave reviews,but today was my best experience at Bango Bowl in Bayshore,.I finally got my orders right without asking and directing whoever was doing my food.Tall pretty girl with a bun,we asked for her name ,Juliette ,she took care of me and my wife,we were here before but today was really good and the food was fresh and presented beautifully. Also,i need to point out that it was busy and the girl had 4 hands,fast and efficient. We saw her here before so we will be coming back for lunch at around noon so she can help us.thanks.
Bango bowls is my favorite spot at the moment. I go there for lunch for my purple rain smoothie and Cali shrimp salad. Sal made my order today and provided a fast and friendly service. Thanks for a delicious and healthy lunch...........
Bango bowls has the best acai bowls (and more!) the staff is so helpful and knows exactly what they are selling and what the customer would want. I think Tara was the one who helped me and she made me aware of all the options and catered it to my preferences! It’s so great to know that bango bowls has great food and great service. 5 stars!
I went with my best friend, angie. We love poke bowls so we tried this restaurant. It was so fresh and tasty. The salmon pieces were other worldly delish, for example. She also got a dessert with bananas sliced and blueberries. It looked like art. I give it five stars. I would like to get a $200 gift card for the future orders too.
I’ve been here a few times now, it’s good. The Açaí bowl are good, I love the option... I’m a giant Poke fan. The salmon I had was very fresh. But the options are pretty standard and kinda boring. All fresh and good, but least interesting poke bowl I’ve had.

I came today and wow they were busy! My order took a bit but Juliet was very kind and helped me out. I love their food and I come very often. My advice is to order ahead so you can customize your food and get it sooner.

Ive been looking for a healthy restaurant and its so hard to find a place that serves healthy food that also tastes amazing! I went to Bango Bowls through a friends recommendation! The young man who made my salad was super friendly and the food was so delicious! I will definitely be a returning customer!
The workers here all have attitudes except for Victoria and Grace. They roll their eyes at me and they dont even greet me anymore when I enter. I have food allergies and preferences and the workers cant stand the extra work. The last time I was there, I felt very uncomfortable. They also have made a lot of mistakes because they dont pay attention or listen.Get nicer workers and I might come back!
I recently started working in the area and decided to stop here on my lunch break for a salad. Didn’t know what to get really since it was my first time, but sal was so helpful and he helped me decide on the sweet potato cobb salad!! It was delicious and I’ll definitely be back for more ;)

Went there with my boyfriend earlier. She was rude and was rushing us didnt even get our order right and she wasnt even paying attention to us. We wanted Nutella on both of our bowls and she didnt put it. We always go there and always get good service, I dont know why she treated us like that.

I live not even two minutes from Bango Bowls. I usually go in there all the time & the food is always great. The people who work there always give me & my sisters an impolite attitude. When I give the employees my order, they are not very nice. I understand it may be difficult to hear now because of people wearing masks, it muffled some words. To make it easier, I legibly write down my order & hand it to them so the process runs more smoothly for the workers & they don’t have to feel anxious or overwhelmed. When they are rude, only when it’s time to pay, they begin to act very nice & sweet, and that is only because they want us to give them a tip. It asks the customer on the mini iPad they use when completing an order. If the service is good, I simply leave a tip. But if the workers are going to be rude & discourteous, I will not leave a tip. My sister went in to this location last week before work. She has a severe stutter which is very hard for her to order for herself & work a normal job without people making fun or insulting her because of her speech. A worker asked her when she came into the store whether or not she was picking up food or placing an order. My sister was trying to get the words out, but was stuttering badly & no words came out. The worker rudely said to her “I asked you a simple question. It was only one question.” This was absolutely atrocious not only because how could anyone say this to a person in this manner? But this was even worse because the worker who said this to my sister was in fact the MANAGER. The manager was the one who insulted my sister because she simply couldn’t answer a question without stuttering on her words. Is this how managers, yet alone human beings treat customers who are human too? I was disgusted & disappointed & until Bango Bowls in Bay Shore gets new employees who will treat people which respect, my friends & family, as well as myself will not purchase anything from this location again.
Bomb.com, was there a few weeks ago and this extremely attentive and friendly employee helped me. Tara was great and made me feel welcomed and my custom bowl was straight 🔥🔥🔥
Love coming here! The granola is so crunchy and I love that its just oats and honey. The presentation of the bowl is just perfect,everything is cut nicely and arranged like art!

Ive been wanting a poke bowl for a while now and my sisters found this amazing place. I had the spicy Sal for lunch and it was so good that I had one for dinner. I had it with the kale crunch. The kombucha on tap was a bonus. This will be my regular place to eat. Service was great!
Really enjoyable restauraunt! The staff is always super friendly and extremely helpful and informative! Most of there dressings are homemade and I never feel guilty eating something so delicious! Definitely my go to spot!

Order was completely wrong, inedible, but called and spoke with the manager (Lauren? I think) who was very kind and helpful and gave me my money back for the botched order and also a gift card for what I had originally spent which was generous and kind.Great food when done right but just maybe.... check whats in the bag before you leave and drive home.
Update (5/31/2020): Owner contacted me and was very professional about the issues with my orders. He also offered me a gift card to try them out again. I will give them another shot only because of the owners customer service. Will update.They get half the stars because they consistently get half my order wrong. I have ordered from them three times in the past two weeks and every time items are either missing or innocent. I am usually not one to complain but 3/3 times orders are incorrect, something needs to be brought to their attention, especially for the price you pay! Will most likely not order again because I do not want to waste my money.

Tried poke bowls for the first time because thats what my 12 year old wanted for her Birthday lunch.Bowl was good staff was nice. My daughter loved it and its a good healthy alternative.Im a big guy and the regular was filling for lunch. Price was actually cheaper for 3 of us than going to Panera bread. Regular bowl was 12$ and large was 17 or 18$ but a large would be more than enough for dinner. My wife said it would be enough for her and my daughter to split for lunch.They also do acai bowls too and oatmeal but we didnt try them.Just wish there was more seating.Also it does take a little while to have it made, especially if theyre busy, so if youre in a rush order ahead.
Always wanted to go somewhere that is quick and healthy. There isn’t a lot of places that can put something healthy together so quickly. The staff is always friendly and so enthusiastic. Definitely coming back here to try their new poke bowls.

Doesn’t really matter how good the food is when the service is trash. Two workers behind the counter, one younger kid and an older woman, named Lauren. The kid did the best he could to help us. Lauren helped her co worker before addressing us and helping her co worker complete our order. Proceeded to give an unacceptable attitude until it was time to pay and she pretty much suggested they deserved a tip. Very rude. Will not be returning to this location.
Definitely one of the best places to get fresh and quality food. The Spicy Sal is my favorite, and I would definitely recommend. The staff is always super friendly and welcoming. One of my favorite places to eat
I went to Bango Bowl located at 68 E Main Street, Bay Shore and ordered 2 regular Açaí Bowls. I live in Islip so it took about 10 mins to get home after I left the store. Once I got home, my mom and I said we would have our Açaí Bowlfor lunch. It was to our disappointment, the bowl was a complete soup and completely disgusting. It was clear the server did not know how to make a proper bowl. The server preparing the bowls put little to no granola in the bowl and doubled up on the açaí purée. The bowl is still a parfait and therefore should have an even portion of granola to açaí purée. My mom called the store to express her dissatisfaction and the staff she spoke to began what appeared to be an interrogation, she began asking questions such as, “when were you here?; what time were you here?; do you know who completed your order? Do you have a receipt?. It was so bizarre. We then gave her the information on our receipt, at which point she said, you will have to bring back the ones you ordered so we can see it and then we can replace it. If this is the customer service Bango Bowl at Bayshore will provide to its customers who are spending $9+ dollars per bowl, Bango Bowl of Bay shore definitely will not last too long. I know I will never go back there again.
This was my first time at Bango Bowls and I have to say the food was great as well as service. Thank you Juliet for making my first experience so wonderful.
Not from around here, but this place is not only extremely over priced, it is also awful food quality. I get poke bowls for $9 in Texas which have more volume and better taste. Due to this being the only poke option around I have tried it 4 times and every time it’s worse. The rice is undercooked, the ginger is not fresh, the wasabi tastes like straight horseradish. When you ask for sauce they spread it over the entire bowl ruining any fruit/seaweed/ginger/wasabi or other toppings that shouldn’t have sauce. It’s honestly ridiculous in my opinion how a $17 poke bowl is such trash.
Today I received a 16oz bowl with No honey No protein. Whoever made my bowls in the you’re the real MVP. Todays wasn’t it.
I have been to all 3 Bango Bowl locations and of the 3, Bay Shore is my favorite. All three are clean, the poke bowl smell is amazing warm and gets me hungry each time. Their bowls I feel are reasonable and if you want more there is additonal cost. The bowls are delicious and filling for me.
Great spot I come to for lunch! Sal is the manager on Wednesday afternoons when I go and he makes the spicy Sal bowl and its amazing everytime!
Delicious, healthy stuff going on here. A must try. Everyone loves the açaí but My favorite is the “Build Your Own” poke bowl with some beautiful marinated Big Eye Tuna, jalapeño, pineapple, and seaweed salad. It’s a great, healthy, quick and affordable lunch. AND... the staff is so friendly and helpful. Really a great addition to town.

DELICIOUS! Gave it 4 stars only because I was in a rush... I ordered online and paid online, went in, it was ready, they asked me my name, handed me the bag and I walked out the door. It was wonderful until I realized they didnt pack any spoons or napkins and nobody said anything as I was leaving 😔 I was already gone by the time I realized. Make sure you have a spoon before you leave!
This is my go to lunch place. I work around the block and I’m always in and out within a few minutes. I come so often that the staff knows my order by heart. If you have not tried the poke bowls yet your missing out. The peanut sauce is to die for.

I did an interview of the franchise for a school project. I interviewed one of the owners, and he is very nice. The place is small and comfortable. The fruit is so clean and fresh. I definitely recommend it!
While the food was DECENT the attitude of the woman in the Gray shirt with the WINO face was extremely rude. She was she didnt greet the black Girl but had no problem strike up a conversation with the white Guy. The poke bowl was 80% quinoa and 20% everything else. The Acai bowl was soupy. SO LONG, FAREWELL...
The best in the arena when it comes to Acai bowls and understanding its new and existing customers. By default they use soy. However, they also have a non soy base; you have to ask. I like to skip the granola these days and add peanut butter and chia seeds into the mix. Cold brews will be popular during the warmer temperatures; brews are a no joke hard hitting caffeine punch, what coffee should be! There are other things to try but it I will always have a bowl first in mind.

I came here for an acai bowl after my sweet tooth flared up after a workout.Delicious and reasonably priced, but the menu lacks nutritional information. Tables could have been cleaner.
Got 4 different bowls and they were all delicious! The ability to easily make bowls vegan was very appreciated.

I love going to this location because the staff is nice and friendly. I had to give four stars because they charge me extra money for strawberries and blueberries when it already included in the bango bowl. I didn’t know it’s extra money for something that is already included.
Product is always great. Bangos peanut butter is amazing. Bar top was filthy, got honey all over my sleeves. Now i have a sticky shirt for the rest of the day... That wont stop me from coming back..
Very expensive iced coffee. For the price I really expected to be blown away with a smooth flavor and no aftertaste on my tongue. Coffee was bitter and ... hello bathroom unfortunately. Great atmosphere tho.

I placed an order online and they made it COMPLETELY WRONG.... except for the marinated tuna which tasted horrible!!! So salty and gross. I’m just shook how they messed up all the other ingredients in the bowl and I tried to eat it anyway and it was so bad. SOOOO disappointing

2022-05-07The acai bowls are usually good, but this last visit it was lacking Granola and the acai was really watery. The woman who works there is also pretty rude. I walked in and said hi, she was at the register and she ignored me. Picked up my order and she didn’t say bye or thanks or anything and was on her phone. I saw her during the week too and she also didn’t say hi when I walked in, so unfortunately I won’t be coming here anymore

2021-07-23I am a nurse at the hospital in town and I wanted a healthy bowl for dinner. Today I was helped by a girl, I asked for her name and she said Juliet. She took my order and explained to me the different dressing options I had. I didnt know there were so many! I will be back. Service was great and the food was very filling.
