2022-01-31@publichotels @barchrystie in Lower East side NYC. This spot just opened mid-november in the lobby of @publichotels .Its a swanky bar inspired by old Hollywood glamour and Harrys in Venice and Ritz in Paris. Filled with high energy music yet comfy lounge atmosphere, perfect for a pre-dinner pick me up or a late night wind me down (like we did). Two highlights include the Big Olive , their dirty martini that comes with a housemade olio Nero and extra virgin vermouth and the Silk Road Sour with gin, lemon, pistachio, egg white, raspberry & saffronThey have a huge menu, and some are really hit or miss depending on your taste. We tried the champagne boilermaker, a $60 drink with 24k gold as well as the Staycation, Twin Fashioned, Christie Manhattan, and Zoom Lense. Some lacked depth and complexity, but some were amazing like the highlighted ones above.Make sure to be prepared to spend $$ or enjoy your time with shareable cocktails for 2-4 people too.Regardless youll have a good time@midwestmunching on instagram

2022-02-04Lmao had legit the worst martini of my life here. Watered down room temperature vermouth with a pump of hand soap. Truly disgusting texture, slimy and not even cold! and to add insult to injury the description says the martini comes with three olives! And the only gave us one olive! I was with three friends who also ordered martinis everyone agreed it was the worst martini they’ve ever had by a lot! And they’re really expensive. I rarely write reviews but this place is insulting!

2022-05-24Atmosphere of the bar was great. Service was not. Our server barely came over to us and when she did she acted annoyed. Our group also overheard her say “Oh those girls, what do they want”, in an obnoxious tone. Such a rude comment to say when we’re spending $500+ on drinks. Overall, the employees were very unpleasant, except for one tall gentleman working at the check in on the rooftop. He was kind and polite.

2020-01-26Garbage service. Our waitress was in outer space all night, and the manager was completely disrespectful to us, a table of 8. They lost a good chunk of business tonight.

2018-01-25Diego is the downstairs bar in the Public Hotel. Youll find the entrance next to the small reception after going up the escalator. The bar is quiet and they serve expensive but good cocktails.

2019-01-18Liked how I was able to sit a group of 4 p.m. at minute. the setting was laid back. Also the service was very friendly.
